Haven't seen anyone talking about this but at the beginning of the month they kinda shadowdropped a pretty big progression boost for new players with IS3 memory mapping. Because you get four T4 chips and two chip catalysts from each mission reward, and you can access both the IS2 and IS3 monthly squads, you now theoretically have access to enough resources to promote an operator of every class without having to clear the second set of chip stages. It lets you fast-track a few ops, makes those second chip stages much easier, and you only have to make it to the start of floor 3 so you don't even have to fight a boss to get them. Good stuff all around!

Me when I fall asleep! Hi bestie, I just wanna know... How do you draw hands?? You have a certain style to it, that makes it look so shaped yet still fluid like... I can't describe it, but what's your process when drawing ✨hands✨ (...of tiIIIME– sorry.)

Huh! Well I guess I never really thought about it... I kinda just auto-pilot when I draw hands now that I think of it, so I don't really have a "process" But I'll try to explain the best I can regardless!

Though not what I always do(sometimes I just wing it), I start with the usual shape base for the palm! Though sometimes I forget it's the palm and just use it as a base- and it's not a strict base! Don't gotta follow it 100%, if you gotta break it to make the pose work better, do it! I always have an idea of where the fingers will be when I draw the base, so I don't really map em out at all like others would with the circle thumb trick n all. (nothing wrong with that trick of course, just never worked for me)

During the sketch I usually just vaguely map out the fingers like this, like mittens! And honestly, more often than not I keep em like that in the final product, lmao.

Don't be afraid to merge together two or more fingers if it helps get the pose across better! Just make it obvious it's not one huge finger by adding bumps or a line where the fingers would usually split.

I always add a curve to the base/fingers to make the poses less stiff! No matter the pose, I try to avoid straight lines on the hands! Even the slightest curve is enough for me. Though that doesn't always fit! Sometimes you gotta have a straight line or two, especially if it suits your style more! Nothing wrong with that.

Remember that the thumb and the index finger are attached! Try to make their lines flow together when possible.

Also, when I draw clutched hands, I make the index finger poke out a bit!

I don't usually draw hands with wrists attached now that I think about it(I like drawing long sleeves,,), but when I do, I make sure there's a clear dividing line between the wrist and the palm, so they don't look merged together!

Use reference pics when needed! Pinterest is usually my best bet for quick and easy hand ref pics of all kinds! Though you can also use your own hand! Whether by taking a pic or just posing it long enough. You are your own free model or something rejiagdlzf BUT if it's something simpler, I usually just pose my free hand under my desk and feel it out/imagine the hand and go from there.

Though I suppose if I'm being completely fair, I never really followed that and just drew for 7 years and hoped something happened... I still struggle with hands ALLLL the time, but these are some things that I learned over the years that made em a bit easier! I guess my number 1 tip would be to just- not stress about it! I don't pay attention much when I draw hands and just let my brain go off while I think about I dunno Hatstache or something LMAO

But uh! Yeah! I hope that helped and was at least a bit comprehensible! Hope I didn't forget anything- If you need something a bit more specific then I could whip somethin up for ya real quick! Just ask! ^ This also goes for anyone reading- if I can be of any help, I'd love to try my best!

this is a common blind spot we whiteys have- Neanderthals ate human men and raped human women for over 100,00 years, it's why there are no human fossils in Europe over 50k years old but you do find human fossils in Australia and the Americas over 60k years old. Yet we think of the Neanderthal as a "noble savage," shoved off this earth by humans; and that's literally appropriating the history of Native Americans and Australians and using it to subtly excuse white supremacist violence. We whiteys are extra aggressive because of our hypercarnivore Neanderthal DNA, yet we think that DNA instead makes us these peaceful noble savages, unaware of how that's a subtle yet illegitimate license to commit white supremacist violence.

The thing is that the portrayal of Neanderthals as having been inherently grotesque and alien to H. sapiens is something we will never have proof of. But we do have proof that, in different locations and in different populations across time, we all found eachother desirable. We saw eachother and wanted to touch. And the offspring were held by their mothers and raised and had their own offspring in turn.

When you look for the first proof that H. sapiens found Neanderthals repulsive, you have to wait until the Victorian era, when the white masters of empires were busy portraying Neanderthals as stupid, brutish, and (of course) dark-skinned.

In more modern times, we’ve had people arguing that instead of seeing Neanderthals as Benighted Savages, they should instead be seen as Noble Savages, (allegedly) cruelly destroyed and driven from their lands by H. sapiens. Which one of their two you believe says more about your modern political views than it does about ancient H. sapiens.

And, whether we construct Neanderthals as Savage or Noble Savage, the fundamental assumption we project into the unfathomably distant past is still that H. sapiens saw Neanderthals as an Other, with the language we use being almost explicitly that of modern racial dynamics.

But we have no proof of any of that. We have no proof of hostilities. We know we co-existed and we had sex. That’s it.

Humans obviously have sex with some humans and kill others. We also know that, when small groups of humans occupy vast spaces with infrequent contact with others, unique cultures will always form, some more hospitable, some more neophobic/xenophobic. But many cultures of small settlements placed among huge unpeopled landscapes place supreme emphasis on hospitality to strangers. Plus, we fucking love other social animals, as evidenced by how we befriended wolves.

Yes, it's a bit absurd and frustrating when the "serving sizes" for snack foods, that nutritional information percentages are based on, are counterintuitive to both the package-size, and automatic cultural associations deduced from the biteability of a single Chip or cookie, and depictions of people in Media eating the Same snack foods in larger serving sizes, BUT! There is a way to make the actual prescribed serving sizes, and abiding by them, feel at least a little more satisfying, than taking a scarce half-a-handful out of the large package, stuffing it in your mouths all in one Go, and then being sad it's over as soon as you've chewed and swallowed, and that method is called PRESENTATION! Here goes:

Get yourself some dishes that hold a Volume of half a Cup or less. Like Sushi sauce-bowls, or (wide) Espresso cups, or Dollhouse Ceramics (such as the IKEA DUKTIG plates-and-bowls Set, or some Thrift Store donor's late Mom's childhood Tea Party set that is missing a single saucer)

Open the multi-serving package of snack food.

If the recommended serving size is given only by weight, use a scale to Portion one serving into a dish, and round UP rather than down. (If it says "three whole Crackers" or "two whole Cookies", count out those)

Put a seal-clip or Something on the package, and place it Out of sight.

Use your Phone camera to Take a picture of the plated snack food. This is mostly for reference to remember what an official serving of this snack food looks like in this particular dish, so you can do it by eye rather than with a scale by the Third time, but If you have time to halfheartedly experiment with light and with arranging the food a certain way, that will give you insight into whether or Not food-photography is a Thing you can potantially get pleasure from, which is good to know, whether or not you end up sharing those pictures with anyone.

Take your tiny snack dish into another room with you,(sit down,) Look at it for the duration of one slow inhale and exhale, and then eat.

When you have finished the Last piece, make the concious choice to get yourself another official-serving-size serving (or Not), by taking the Same dish into the room where the package is, plate the Same amount of food as before, put the package away, and only eat it once you're Back in the other room.

If you have Kids, or babysitting-charges, it's good for the development of their relationship to food, to serve them all of the "unhealthy" snack foods and some of the "healthy" snack foods ONLY in this way, and give them second servings only If they explicitly ASK for it.

11/11/24: Yuma road trip! It was my day off, so I went east to find out of town deals. Trips to Biglots and pawnshops were a bust. I did go to a dollar tree and I found two horror dvds for $1.25. I went to three walmarts to look for cheap videogames like I got recently. But it was mostly repeats of what I found. Didn't feel like buying again. Or other games were more expensive. But I did get Hotel Transylvania and WW2K22 for $10 each. And Prince of Persia for $15. And I found a markdown for the whole series of Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers, so that's a win. I also hit up the two Goodwills. They had overpriced common games, so that's a no. But at each store, I did find some comics, dvds, and strategy guides. Plus, a nice shirt! And while checking clothing and shoes prices at two Ross Stores for family. I found some awesome toys! Locally, my selection was crap for Transformers toys. But the two stores in Arizona had the goods! Plus, a neat DC Batman toy and an Uzumaki anime figure that I got for a friend. These toys were less than retail. So that's fun and frugal. And I managed to make it to only one gamestop in town. Darn. It totally slipped my mind that Arizona doesn't follow Daylight savings. So when I arrived to the other store, it was already closed. The games I got from the first store were great, though. A rarer Ys game for $30 and another RPG for $20.

This is it. You read enough of their posts and they flat-out SAY they don't care about people in this country. "Nothing is more important than genocide, and we can all suffer because Palestine is suffering, and we can put up with it if it means ending the genocide!!!"

Except they're personally not in a position to suffer, so they're signing up the people around them to suffer on their behalf, which is NOT their decision to make. Meanwhile, they're so moralistically broken that they refuse to vote for the person who just - by pure coincidence - happens to be in office when Israel (NOT Biden and NOT the US) chose to conduct the genocide. It's all about their OWN personal feelings and remaining personally "pure" (i.e. the trolley problem). They "can't live with themselves" if they voted for Biden, so they won't, or they'll vote against him in some delusion of heroism to "punish" him, in complete detachment from all reality.

So the truth of the matter is: the genocide fans don't even care about Palestine. They care about 1) their moral purity for the purposes of posturing on social media like a good little sjw, and 2) they want to be the little hero of their own little world tragedy.

Of course, this means that they cannot, or refuse to, understand that there are any other important issues in the world or in their own country. It ALSO means that they cannot grasp that, even if Palestine was the only issue on the planet, Biden is that country's best hope in terms of an American president.

They're binge drinking tragedy, at Palestine's expense, to literally live out a self-hero revenge fantasy. They are children.

I think it's because many of them don't care - it's about their own individual feelings and ideas that matter, and how it connects to the broader Ideological Battle.

Additionally, I think many have succumbed/been radicalized/fallen into the doomerism, as well as the misguided and flawed belief of accelerationism.

And also, a good number of them think they won't personally have to worry, so they can indulge in being so very morally "pure".
