Wanted to demonstrate some of the investigative/mystery elements in Zorlok since I don't think I've talked about them much before.

So, in Zorlok, there's a lot of mysteries to solve/that you'll be involved in. There's the mystery of who you are, mysteries involving the town and cast members, cases given to you by your future employer, Vigil, and others. Information is a key currency in this game and the most valuable thing Zorlok can find. You will keep track of information in your journal and be able to make assumptions and theories based on what you know. You will also later get whole case files once Vigil is unlocked in full. Here's a little sneak peek at how these mechanics will start to be introduced in Episode 1.

End of the updated Prologue and start of Episode 1 spoilers ahead...

So, as some of you may know, at the end of the prologue the Demon might attempt to attack Tommy (womp womp). This results in a broken arm that doesn't get to heal before their powers are sealed off. Here we see a Zorlok attempting to ask Tommy about their broken prosthetic.

If you choose to "analyze Tommy" this appears on the next passage...

Congrats, you've learned something new: Tommy is lying to you. If you choose to investigate and seek out the truth...

Here you can see some links in the text. There are cycling links which are used throughout the game to alter the tone of certain lines and internal observations but, more importantly here, you'll see the blue underlined text reading "His eyes shine." This is an investigative link. If you were to hover over it on PC, your cursor would turn into a little magnifying glass. These links are places where you can dig for more information or analyze something in detail. By clicking on them more choices appear and text may change elsewhere on the page to reflect your deeper understanding of the situation/interaction.

You can see that several more options have appeared. But, there's still an investigative link above. You could click on it if you want, but keep in mind that the further you dig it's possible to discover something you didn't want to know, overanalyze a situation, or spend so much in-universe time doing something that options at the end of the page time out and become unavailable. Basically, you can keep thinking/discovering things, but you can't unthink these thoughts.

You can see here that the text of several options has changed. You couldn't go back and ask a version of them that was available before. Now that you have a different reading on the scene you have to react to it accordingly.

And, if you push him to talk about what happened to your arm, you'll see that...

You've discovered a new truth!

The more I look at this picture...

...the more I focus on Benji. Trusty ole, lovable, tortured Benji with his painfully bruised knuckles and the sickly, dark circle under his eye.

And the more I focus on Benji, the more I fixate on this particular wound on his neck:

It doesn't resemble a typical bruise, like one from being scratched, strangled, or hanged by a rope. It looks more like a hematoma: swollen, round, and centered around a puncture mark, almost as if it was caused by a needle or a similar injection device.

Which brings me to this shot from the teaser trailer:

Now, we know Final Reckoning is being marketed as the ultimate culmination of Ethan's journey/choices. Whether this shot is a direct flashback to the missing rabbit's foot sequence in MI3 (seems most likely) or more of a thematic callback/reference to the Chimera virus in MI2, one thing is crystal clear: the tag.

"Biohazard."

All this to say, are we about to see Benji forcibly injected with some sort of deadly toxin?

One thing that I feel is too heavily slept on is that Virgil CANONICALLY says shit like “I have daddy energy” to Jericho. I know he’s a scary gross demon crow man, but also…he’s kinda silly sometimes. He’s a bit of a goofy goober.

Like, I highly doubt he does it often, but I can 100% see him doing it from time to time to confuse the ever-loving fuck out of Jericho (and everyone else whenever he responds verbally).

"they're not described like that in the book" my brother in christ they are barely described at all in the book. crowley is said to be tall and thin with dark hair and good cheekbones, and aziraphale is described by the exemplary state of his manicure, his plump hands, and how he radiates Pure Gay. it's just that aziraphale's description is a little harder to translate into a knitting pattern. i promise you that it's okay to. calm down

as someone who’s never liked timsteph i find it so funny that i just accidentally talked myself into a revrob au of them. revrob au where war games happens, steph (~15) gets captured & tortured, except this time tim (~16) comes in to try & help but due to [unforeseen circumstances] no one comes as backup, and they’re both tortured, leading to steph’s red hood era via being resurrected somehow by arthur brown and tim’s oracle era brought on via complications due to torture.

tim’s the one person steph won’t target, and steph’s the one person tim can’t really get angry with about killing, because they get it.
