You find yourself lost within a mysterious woods that seem to be on the Isle of Armor....you see little to no Pokemon around- only miles and miles of trees surrounded you in all directions... You start to think you'll be stuck here forever, until you here a faint voice in the distance...You immediately begin to follow the sound in the direction you believe it was coming from...
Tumblr media
To your shock, you see a peculiar looking Vulpix...The Vulpix appeared to be talking with a Liligant. Both appeared to be speaking in an unfamiliar tounge, with the Vulpix throwing in the occasional human word- they seemed to understand and fluently speak the language...
"Well alright then.. Thank you for your time at least.. Bye.."
When Vulpix was finished, the Liligant waved and hobbled away. The odd Vulpix sighed in sadness. The Vulpix then notices you and perks up.
Tumblr media
"Hi, hello~ Umm.. If you have a moment- I'd like to ask you a real quick question! It'll only take a minute, please.."
It seems the strange Vulpix is willing to chat, and is now open for asks.

[Image ID: a digital illustration of a tan-skinned, muscular man with messy, wavy reddish-pink hair down the back of his neck and framing his face. he has cat-like ears on the top of his head that are the same color as his hair and he is wearing a tight black t-shirt. he is smiling wide, revealing fangs and his eyes are closed. he has a thin scar horizontally across the bridge of his nose. there are little stylized red cat heads around him, also smiling. /End ID]

Taylor's Egg: Love, life, and the weight of choices.
Tumblr media
I think, the conversation about reproductive rights even in this modern age of the 21st Century can be proven to be difficult, no matter which part of the earth you currently reside on. I also think, my relationship between my queerness and my own reproductive health has become even more difficult than ever. In Amanda J Ellis's 【Taylor's Egg】, I was able to follow Taylor and their introspection journey with the Duckle egg, after being conceived via Taylor's ventured dream into the Egg Grove. From Taylor's perspective, I too get to have a glimpse of the shock, anxiety as well as excitement and grief for their very sudden role of parenthood. This story is not all about trial and tribulation however, the range of characters - people - they are the constant present in Taylor's life until their very difficult moment. The interaction between these characters is something I find so entrenched beautiful; if not, gave me a bit of an envy of this support system which a lot of us queerfolks are longed for.

Now, if I'm allowed to praise this comic even more beside its content. I was first impressed with the excellent technique on crosshatching and texture between panels. This has provided a great transition into each scene: from the vibrant skater rink, to the radiant morning of O'key family farm. In the absence of any screentone nor color, the author has utilized well their ability to cross-hatch to enrich the monochrome pages in 【Taylor's Egg】. The consistency of 2x3 panels, and somewhat heavy dialogues and monologues that never seem to intrude the emotional display in every squarely panel. To be able to find the balance of delivery isn't something every cartoonist can achieve!
【Taylor's Egg】 will be available to purchase via @amandajealous's Ko-fi Store. I hope you can keep an eye out for this tender comic!

Unsolved Case - Game Review
Happy Saturday!
It's been a while since I did a game review but my friend and I played a co-op point and click puzzle game for the first time last weekend and I thought I'd talk about it. The game is called Unsolved Case, it's by Eleven Puzzles and it's free to play on steam.
Tumblr media
The game was fairly simple and the puzzles easy. Not so easy that you were bored but simple enough to not be that much of a challenge. This was definitely a chill fun co-op than a hardcore mystery or master puzzler.
It took us about 63 minutes to complete the game in total (the devs said 30-60 so just over), which is inclusive of any cut scenes. The cutscenes were pretty interesting and were voice acted which was nice. I wouldn't say that we struggled much with any of the puzzles, though the forklift puzzle took us some time. Actually, i did struggle a bit with the TV guide puzzle as well, because (mild spoiler) I was treating it as connect the dots as opposed to bingo.
The mechanics were easy and I had a fun time playing with my friend. Both parties are required to have a copy of the game but it is free to play. You also need some way to communicate with your partner externallly as the game itself does not support audio communication. We used discord but you could use whatever calling method works best for you.
My biggest problem with the game was how it ended. The game was advertised as the prequel to the Cryptic Killer Series, however in my opinion it was a prologue to that storyline as opposed to a prequel. I'm not sure if it's a mistranslation as I know Eleven Puzzles is based in Poland or a miscommunication because I'm used to books instead of game. In my mind, a prequel is usually a book/series that is set prior to main storyline and usually used to give backstory. Where as a prologue is more the preface/introduction to a story or act. They're both similar but a prequel can be taken my itself whereas the prologue cannot exist without the rest of the work. Maybe I'm wrong in how there terms are defined and used, particularly in gaming space, but that is how I understood them going into this game. And by those standards, this game is a prolgue, not a prequel.
Unsolved Case cuts off on a cliffhanger which apparently continues in Unboxing the Cryptic Killer (which is Cryptic Kill Series Part 1). That was very much a let down and we were both startled when it ended as we felt it ended rather abruptly. (We both actually went "it ends here?" simultaneously😂😂). I get that it was supposed to entice you to play the original game but I would have preferred they call it a prologue or demo or teaser as opposed to a prequel so that i could have expected it would have had an open ending as opposed to being a game by itself. In fairness to them, Unboxing the Cryptic Killer is only like £5 and less than $10 in USD, CAD or AUD but still. If it's a free to play demo, call it that. Again though, this could simple be a miscommunication since I'm not a gamer or since English isn't their mothertongue. Still though, it unsettled me enough to take half a star off.
All in all it was a pretty fun hour of our day and it was a good low stress way to spend time together but I wouldn't play it again. Given that my final rating of this game is about 3.5 stars!
Final Rating: ⭐⭐⭐
(There isn't a half star emoji and that makes me to sad.)

hey i'm the one who asked if you were a terf. I apologize for making it seem like an accusation, I've seen you reblog trans friendly stuff so I was confused but I shouldn't have worded it like that. I'm also not an expert with terf dogwhistles and stuff, but I do have shinigami eyes so the blog was highlighted in red. the blog is femmesandhoney and you reblogged their post from radgalacticacrew (this one is not highlighted).
And yeah, I get it, it's not like every single one of their posts are hateful bullshit, so you couldn't have known and no one combs through every blog they reblog from. I made a hasty judgment for something obvious to me and not to you (thanks to shinigami eyes) when I could just have given you a heads-up that you reblogged a terf. Again, sorry about that !
No worries. I appreciate the heads up that I was (unintentionally) engaging with terfs and the blogs in question so I can block them. I definitely don't want to come off as being at all affiliated with terfs so I'm glad to know I may have accidentally been giving that impression so I can fix it. I'm hoping to hunt down whatever secret terf I'm following so tumblr will stop reccomending me their innocuous-on-the-surface-but-with-terfy-undertones likes. In the meantime tho I'll block the blogs you pointed out so I don't make that mistake again.
I *have* heard of shingami eyes and DO think it's a cool idea, but I guess I'm also a little hesitant to do it myself. This kind of like "the computer/algorithm/program tells you who's Problematic" thing just feels a bit too close to, like, McCarthyism for me? I don't know how things get flagged and if they go through human review and what the guidelines are (which, to be fair, I might be able to find out, I haven't looked), but I always just feel like I'd rather personally see someone being shitty and suspicious and react to that than be informed by someone else/a program that someone is a Suspicious Person. But at the same time, clearly it's not like the program auto-blocks anyone flagged, it's just a heads up so you can do your own investigating, so I get it. I'm just not sure it's my vibe. But also my current strategy isn't 100% effective so it may be worth considering additional tools. 🤷‍♀️ something for me to think abt for sure.

So I haven't had time to write this but two days ago I walked up to my local co op because it's just up the road from mine and I needed to pick up some bits and bobs before going for my big Tesco shop
Anyways so I usually have my earbuds in playing music so I can stay more relaxed in public and I walk in the co op, grab my bits and go to the self checkout
As I'm scanning my bits a loud bang I could hear through my music made me look over to find a group of boys about 6 of them from I'd say 9-15yrs old
They're wearing hoodies and face masks and the oldest one I believe was shouting "let me out!" So I pulled out my earphones to hear what was happening and they're all shouting and crashing against the doors (at this point I figure out they've locked us all inside) trying to leave and they were swearing and everything.
So I've grabbed my bits and I'm walking to the doors and the co op staff told me to wait and as the kids are all at the back of the store I try to ask for them to let me out and they wouldn't
The kids didn't seem dangerous, they mightve been stealing I'm not sure although how they could fit anything in their tiny waist bags I'm not sure, they didn't have any weapons as far as I know but this was the first time something ever happened in my area.
My area is quiet, small, hidden. Usually when I mention it people are like "what?? Wheres that??"
I know I wasn't a hostage, I know I wasn't in a dangerous situation. But I was scared and when I came home all I could imagine was if there had been a knife situation (since guns are very very rare in the UK)
But I was still scared.
