In the face of this blatant injustice, silence 🤐 becomes an unforgivable crime, and life in this land becomes a continuous testimony to cruelty that knows no mercy and no bounds.

Every passing minute, a child 👧 screams, a mother 👩 weeps, a family disappears. How can the world accept, or even bear, this ongoing misery? What blinds humanity to these massacres? History will not forget, nor will it forgive, this silence. 🤫

ok I'm saying this once bc this blog isn't about Israel or Palestine: I support Palestinian liberation and my Judaism sees no need for the state of Israel. I cannot see children in Gaza starve and view the IDF as anything but cruel. Judaism to me means standing up for those who can't stand up for themselves. The most liminal feeling in judaism is knowing history that's deeply shaped jewish communities and yet... nobody but jews talk about it. Obviously, this isn't unique to judaism, but it's a very specific reminder that jewish history matters more to you than it does anyone else

I've been thinking and I'm driving myself mad. It was always meant to be Sam and Dean. By the narrative, by the story, by Chuck, by Kripke, by the finale. AND YET. Dean has never been loved like he was loved by Cas. That's canon. Sam couldn't love Dean like Cas loved him. Sam never truly sacrificed himself for just Dean, he did it for humanity or whatever. Sam was the one in love with humanity and Cas loved humanity because he loved Dean.

Just like so many of us I don't understand how this happened, no one wanted Destiel to be the greatest love story ever told but it ended up being just that. And we can all sit here and argue for years as we have done about who Dean loved more, about who won, but I think that's not a fair trade. Dean was Sam's father and mother (that's why I have always argued Jack is not Dean's child, Dean already had a child) of course he would put Sam over Cas in the finale BUT everything before is Dean loving Cas. Dean choosing Cas over and over. Dean didn't let Sam in because Sammy was already in and he always struggled to make sense of Sam and Sammy being the same person but Dean's love language is letting people see him, his true self, his vulnerabilities and his virtues among his flaws. Dean let Cas in that way, because in spite of everything Dean loved an angel.
