Luego de años de una paz fingida, el mundo mágico y el no mágico decidieron firmar los llamados Pactos Universales: acuerdos históricos que permitirían la convivencia de ambos mundos. hullo, love this account btw, fic im looking for is from A03, complete, not too long i think. i forgot the plot but harry is a werewolf i think, but he's more of the wolf rather than the man or something like that. harry lives in this forest alone and stays in his werewolf form all the time bc he was cursed (i think). one day draco was either cursed or hurt (jm not sure tbh) and got stuck in the forest, harry helps him by bringing him food. there's a tiny bit of beastility there. harry is SUPER clingy to draco even after harry turned human again. and if i remember correctly after harry turned into humam again draco asked harry if he can fuck draco in his wolf form. thank you!!!!!!!!! u guys rock i hope u guys get filthy rich

Looking at some recent RPG books this week starting with this beauty, Caer Mundus: The Lost Realm (2021). It’s a system agnostic attempt to reconstruct a plausible Celtic world for RPGs (the people we call the Celts didn’t write anything down, so what we firmly know about their culture is pretty scant). It’s emphatically psychedelic, with mind-altering substances (particularly mushrooms and red honey) fueling magic, visions and bravery.

There’s a ton of tools in the book: dogs, horses, heroic rivals, a system for tracking acclaim (and social stigma), tables galore. There are templates that present Celtic versions of Bards, Druids, Rangers and Warriors that can be laid over most system’s character creation systems. There are, of course, many spirits and monsters derived from the surviving mythologies of the British Isles (selkies, dullahan, coraniaid and so on).

Perhaps the most interesting part of the book is the epic quest line, the Song of the Blaze Above. It begins with an omen of apocalypse, which spurs the three old kings to attempt to purge the ellyllon, a sort of fae culture that has co-existed with humanity. The quest sees the players recruited to unite the three kingdoms (installing new kings if necessary) in order to prepare for the coming battle with the true threat: an army of ogres (who, through their naming, are highly implied to be Romans, at least metaphorically). That battle has three potential flavors: one where humanity can triumph, one where humanity is doomed and one where the ogres are a red herring and the fae are the true threat after all. It’s neat to have all the events mapped out, and pretty clear how you can map them to a system of your choice. Along the way, characters grow from scrawny whelps to epic heroes. There’s an Afanc. What more could you possibly want?

Grim and gritty art throughout, in the vein of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, but slightly lighter and more realistic. You can catch glimmers of a way of life here. The cover is by Sawblade, whose art has decorated many a death metal album cover. My pal Darkwizard Berserker did the logo.

Huft, okay, this will probably be a little vague. But this was on A03, harry was cheating on ginny with draco. harry ended up with draco, and at the end there was a scene where harry draco and the weasleys including Ginny was together. Draco ans ginny were talking and then Draco told Ginny that he doesn't regret being Harry's side piece (or i think he said that he's not sorry for his relationship with harry even tho they're cheating bc it ended up good). Sorry there's not much that i remember! Thank you!

Hermione resumed her normal class schedule over the next few days working to catch up on assignments she’d missed and to stay on top of all of her projects. She was, of course, quite the topic of conversation. Many students tried to apologize for their earlier behavior and suddenly everyone supported her decision to be with Draco.

The Slytherin house as a whole was continuing to be denigrated, with many seeing Angelica’s actions as proof that even the youngest among them were evil. As she sat down with Draco at the unity table for dinner, they were still talking about how they could help Angelica.

“It's simply not fair, her mother is literally hospitalized from the torture she received. Angelica had no choice. It's so similar to your situation, Draco, how did you get out of charges?”

“My family is wealthy. Many pure-blood families lost all of their fortunes trying to maintain crumbling estates and refusing to work with muggle-borns. My father is many things but financially reckless isn’t one of them. We were able to hire a good lawyer. Also, I was able to exchange all the information I had on the Death Eaters they really wanted for my freedom. Still, with all of that, my father ended up in Azkaban for life, as he should have.”

“How do we change the narrative around this? People need to know the kinds of homes you all come from. We need them to understand that you and Angelica did what you had to to survive.”

Theo came scuttling over to sit with them, interrupting their conversation.“What do you want Theo?” Draco asked as he looked at his former friend with an icy cold glare.

Theo sat, seemingly impervious to Draco’s ire.

“Hello, you two! How is my favorite inter-house couple doing this evening?”

Draco huffed out a sigh. “We’re fine Theo. Now go away.”

He held up his hands, the gesture aiming for conciliatory. “I will leave you be, it's just that I was thinking, Hermione,” He looked over at her with a sickly sweet smile, “that with all of the conflicting press about Slytherins and such, as well as you obviously being a topic of media interest, that now might be an opportune time to say some nice things about our humble little house to the press? Give us some positive coverage? You obviously wouldn't need to say anything nice about the Averys, but possibly help distance the rest of us from them?”
