Not an ask, I just really like your art of solo
Tumblr media
((Really glad you do!! And nice of you to say so! Solo has basically been a main comfort character to draw lol. I majored in art, so drawing is kinda something I realllly like to do.
Sometimes I don't feel like I even can draw, but just sitting down and doing it anyway can help with getting out of that funk.
Today was like that - I didn't feel like I'd be able to hold a pencil properly [after yesterday was really rough.] But just doing this when I got home made me happier, and yes I'm doing much better now! <3

I hate having to eat every time I want to drink water. I have a mental barrier to drinking water on its own and a mental barrier to eating food without water; so I have to eat every time I want to drink water without it being psychologically uncomfortable and I feel disgusting because my stomach and bowels feel weighed down and I am uncomfortably perma-bloated.

Is cloudy urine like a bad thing? Like they always note it whenever I take urine tests but nobody ever says anything about it so I figured it was normal. I tried to ask the GI nurse since I'm supposed to take contrast dye for a CT scan and apparently my kidneys have to be in good working order for that but she didn't know

Ooof
now this points out an even darker point that the sniffers ate a ghast and that’s why it’s in the bones structure. Makes me wonder if they died from eating the ghast since they are herbivores and their digestion systems were not meant to process a ghast hence why it gets dehydrated instead and is all that remains besides bones. Perhaps after these deaths, the sniffers migrated to find a new non-lethal food source.
It also makes me wonder if the sniffers ate regular ghasts or baby ghasts since these dehydrated ghasts become ghastlings. Like if the ghasts are perhaps crying because sniffers ate all their kids
maybe the ghasts didn’t know what happened to them and they are just wandering the nether screaming out for their kids that have all disappeared
.
Very interesting advancement note that I’m obviously not the first to comment on but
Tumblr media
The wording is ‘rescue’ a Ghast from the Nether, and bring it ‘safely home’. Which has always been the idea of, are Ghasts from the Nether? Was the Nether always like this; and are they so miserable because they were forced to adapt to a ruined fiery hellscape? Well, now we know that presumably when young especially, they’re liable to dry out. That if they’re rescued from being dried, they thrive in a more earthly environment. That they grow up happy when doing so. I do think that Ghasts may be from the Nether, but not from the current Nether. A much colder one, maybe more like the Overworld, maybe not. Probably a cavernous fungal paradise if I had to guess. But now they live in a world that’s been ruined by something, and turned into the human embodiment of hell, forced to spit fire just to no longer be filled with it when they’d much rather eat snow to cool down. Is it any wonder they cry?

The Ripple Effect: How Hydration Impacts Your Kidney Health
Imagine your kidneys as a bustling city, with a complex network of highways and byways constantly filtering waste and toxins from your bloodstream. Just as a city needs a steady supply of water to keep things flowing smoothly, your kidneys rely on adequate hydration to perform their vital functions. But what exactly are those functions, and how does water play such a crucial role? In this deep

I felt sick last night and now don't feel like eating. Felt shaky. Nearly dizzy, a little tilty. I lay down for a nap. I'm still what one might call fatigued. I have a lot to do this week. It better go away.

DEHYDRATED — NAGI SEISHIRO
a.k.a. top 10 ways to get your boyfriend to drink water
tags: Nagi Seishiro x reader (established relationship), suggestive if you look into the subatomic world
word count: 0.8k, not proofread, likes + comments + reblogs appreciated
Tumblr media
To think, kissing your wonderful boyfriend would be the best way to spend your free time.
Only right now, it isn’t.
Nagi, having just woken up from is nth nap of the day, flips over his to see you doom scrolling as one does. his shifting calls for you as you instinctively look down at your boyfriend with a soft smile. you wait for him to lean up to give you the obligatory wake up kiss, until you stop him mid way.
hand firmly placed on his chest, as you stare down at him. more specifically, his lips.
nagi doesn’t approve of this, clearly. with the way his neutral face morphs into a somewhat frown, and his eyebrows ever so slightly pinch in confusion.
“when’s the last time you’ve drank water?” you ask skeptically. your hand travels from his chest to make a swipe on his extremely desert chapped lips, feeling the roughness under your thumb.
Nagi tiredly blinks as you, flopping back down to his sleeping position.
“dunno” his answer is curt as usual, eyes slowly drifting off again, but his attention is still lingers on you.
“wrong answer.” you reply, and to Nagi’s dismay, your quick to slip out of bed and step out of the room.
nagi doesn’t have enough energy to chase after you, post-nap fatigue or whatever excuse you want to give him, but the few minutes of your absence nicks at his impatience.
It doesnt bother him enough to not fall asleep, but he’s sure to guarantee himself with a restless nap due to your sudden betrayal (you leaving the bed).
soon enough— that being a meer 3 minutes— you step back into the room with a glass of cold water in hand.
you stand there expectingly.
nagi grants you one eye, flipping it to see your from, but quickly deflates as he sees what you’re trying to make him do.
“drink up, seishiro” you say, sliding back into bed.
nagi makes a noise of refusal, as he shakes his head and stuffs his face deeper into his pillow.
“too much of a hassle”
“what is a hassle, is you being moments away from getting kidney stones” you deadpan.
nagi still makes no move to follow your demand.
Then he hears the clatter of the glass cup settling on his nightstand, clear indication that his laziness has won the battle this time.
as he shifts his head to face you, he finds that you’re already looking down at him. In a few easy movements, you’re on top of him, legs planted on either side as you straddle him, much to his delight.
Nagi, himself, leans up, getting a better view of your pretty face.
a gentle hand caresses his face, then you lean down. Your eyes flicker between his eyes and his lips.
you kiss him.
instinctively, nagi kisses back, opening his mouth for his favourite french-like kiss, because: is it really a kiss with nagi if not for a little tongue.
Strangely though, this time, what greets him, is a cold relieving liquid. his eyes widen in shock as he feels water pouring from your mouth into his. He can’t do anything but swallow the water, as he hungrily pushes himself deeper into you.
the second you pull away, to catch your breath, nagi sees what water escaped your (and his) lips trickle down your chin, soon wiped by the swipe of his thumb.
“good, you drank it” you chirp, a sly, mischievous smile spreading across his lips.
Nagi’s expression is almost unreadable, but being his girlfriend long enough, you’re able to pick up the most subtle of nagi-cues. the darkening hues of grey, and how his eyes narrow as if you’re watching the cogs in his brain turn in real time.
“not much of a hassle now,is it” you smirk, reaching over to take your own precious sip of water.
“no, this is much more of a hassle” nagi admits, leaning fully over so you’re now both sitting.
you don’t know why, but suddenly, you feel nervous.
“huh? i thought you’d like the idea” you cock your head but nagi only stares at you as if you committed some type of war crime.
Nagi pushes the glass back to your lips, beckoning you to take another gulp. His eyes are hooded, hidden under layers of fatigue, but you can tell exactly what he’s feeling right now.
desire
You take another gulp of water, and hold it in your mouth for a moment before he leans over and plants his lips onto yours.
Nagi kisses you like a man deprived of water (which admittedly, he is), as if he had to make up for all the times he was too lazy to drink.
when you disconnect, you’re breathless.
water messily trickling down his chin; smeared across your lips.
Nagi looks absolutely thirsty.
“yeah i did, but now, i can never go back”
dear god, you’ve awoken a monster.
authors note: this was fun to write! idea was from a manhwa i read (big spender in a busted game) anyways DONT FORGET TO STAY HYDRATED!!!

Dying (pun intended) to know what the NCR's casualty figures are like when it comes to things like heat stroke and dehydration. For as much as they like to make little quips about Legionaries parading around in sports equipment...at least they're staying somewhat cool! What tactical reason is there for every uniformed member of the NCR to be wearing full military fatigues in the middle of the goddamn desert? Long sleeves and heavy pants and multiple layers of unbreathable fabric...not to mention the fact that many of them also carry more equipment than the average Legionary, adding to the physical strain of just getting around. Even with the way we know the NCR likes to bogart water, they absolutely aren't giving their service members, especially those who are stationed in shittier places, enough water to compensate for the amount you'd lose every day.
There's no way the average platoon doesn't have a half-dozen people pass out every day, some who just don't wake up afterwards sometimes. Folks who faint from the heat in inopportune places and hit their heads, fall to their deaths. Multiple members in debilitating pain from kidney stones, some of whom develop substance abuse issues attempting to quell it and keep themselves in fighting shape. Entire bases of people who have impaired decision making skills because their brains are slowly turning to raisins in their skulls from the lack of proper hydration.
If I'm the one calling the shots, we're busting out the scissors and giving everyone cargo shorts and crop tops on DAY ONE! Sunscreen production and use is TOP priority!

re: gallbladder stuff i'm sorry you're dealing with all that, I know you already know it's all BS, but i just wanted to share my experience with gallbladder surgery that really emphasizes how BS it is: -my surgeon didn't ask me to lose weight in order to operate even though i was also over 300lbs at the time -they treated it as an urgent surgery even though i had to get it done during COVID lockdowns -the doctor told me that it was almost certainly genetics that caused me to have gallstones, there was nothing i could have done to cause it -the doctor told me i should stick to a plain diet leading up to the surgery to reduce the chances of passing another gallstone, but told me that once you pass one stone it's not a matter of if but when you'll pass another. the only way to stop it completely is to remove the organ your doctors are treating you terribly for actually no reason and i'm sorry they're doing that to you. i wish there was a way to hold healthcare workers accountable for these things.
thank you SO much for this ask, holy shit
i'm so glad they didn't ask you to lose weight and treated it like an emergency, which it was. i'm really glad they actually treated you. nobody should have to put up with having a diseased organ stay in their body because of someone else's prejudice. i've been considering asking fatphobic doctors why they are even in the medical field to begin with if they can't wrap their heads around the fact that fat people need medical help as well, whether it's related to their fatness or not doesn't matter. many fat people WILL need some form of medical attention in their lives. why would anyone who actually cares about helping others go into medicine if they knew they couldn't handle a little bit of cellulose
also thank you for confirming that there's a genetic factor and that if it happens once, it'll happen again. that's what i was showing in my research. i mean it makes sense, it's not going to do that just once, and i have multiple stones in my gallbladder. i don't understand why multiple stones isn't cause for concern. my mother had to have her gallbladder removed as well. and i've also shown in my research that there's very little to nothing a person can do to cause themselves to develop gallstones, unlike kidney stones which can be caused by severe and repeated dehydration
thank you so much, i've felt absolutely horrible in the wake of this. it made me feel as though my pain was somehow my fault, as if it wasn't worth looking into. i don't think anyone should have to feel like that, especially when they have a diseased organ that needs removed. it was like she didn't even see it as a matter of disease and illness, but rather something completely caused by me. i could tell she thought it was my fault due to eating a "high fat diet" and not because there's a genetic factor.
the "high fat diet" affects my liver way more than my gallbladder, and even then: i do not routinely eat a high fat diet. my liver is the one who got upset when i ate a lot of high fat and processed foods while i was homeless. my gallbladder is not the one who's having a hard time with anything that i choose to do of my own volition. the organ itself is literally diseased and no amount of kale smoothies and celery could ever fix that
thank you, i really appreciate you. i'm glad you were able to get treated without pushback. i think what i'm going to do is call that office and ask to consult with one of their other surgeons to see if they all believe that, or if it's just the one surgeon i spoke to. i also want to report her for medical malpracitce because she's choosing to let me continue to get violently ill because of her own personal issues. she's allowing me to remain sick and potentially be subject to even worse things like you mentioned
again, i really appreciate the amount of support i've gotten over this. i didn't realize that i was being treated this poorly. i really appreciate you, i'm going to do whatever i can to advocate for myself so i can get this removed ASAP. i want to be able to eat regular meals again without pain or vomiting. i want to be able to sit and stand upright without severe stabbing pain in my abdomen. i want to live my life again. i appreciate you, take care of yourself, thank you for your kindness and reassurance
