Why AI and ML Are the Future of Scalable MLOps Workflows?
Tumblr media
In today’s fast-paced world of machine learning, speed and accuracy are paramount. But how can businesses ensure that their ML models are continuously improving, deployed efficiently, and constantly monitored for peak performance? Enter MLOps—a game-changing approach that combines the best of machine learning and operations to streamline the entire lifecycle of AI models. And now, with the infusion of AI and ML into MLOps itself, the possibilities are growing even more exciting.
Imagine a world where model deployment isn’t just automated but intelligently optimized, where model monitoring happens in real-time without human intervention, and where continuous learning is baked into every step of the process. This isn’t a far-off vision—it’s the future of MLOps, and AI/ML is at its heart. Let’s dive into how these powerful technologies are transforming MLOps and taking machine learning to the next level.
What is MLOps?
MLOps (Machine Learning Operations) combines machine learning and operations to streamline the end-to-end lifecycle of ML models. It ensures faster deployment, continuous improvement, and efficient management of models in production. MLOps is crucial for automating tasks, reducing manual intervention, and maintaining model performance over time.
Key Components of MLOps
Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Automates testing, integration, and deployment of models, ensuring faster updates and minimal manual effort.
Model Versioning: Tracks different model versions for easy comparison, rollback, and collaboration.
Model Testing: Validates models against real-world data to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability through automated tests.
Monitoring and Management: Continuously tracks model performance to detect issues like drift, ensuring timely updates and interventions.
Differences Between Traditional Software DevOps and MLOps
Focus: DevOps handles software code deployment, while MLOps focuses on managing evolving ML models.
Data Dependency: MLOps requires constant data handling and preprocessing, unlike DevOps, which primarily deals with software code.
Monitoring: MLOps monitors model behavior over time, while DevOps focuses on application performance.
Continuous Training: MLOps involves frequent model retraining, unlike traditional DevOps, which deploys software updates less often.
AI/ML in MLOps: A Powerful Partnership
As machine learning continues to evolve, AI and ML technologies are playing an increasingly vital role in enhancing MLOps workflows. Together, they bring intelligence, automation, and adaptability to the model lifecycle, making operations smarter, faster, and more efficient.
Enhancing MLOps with AI and ML: By embedding AI/ML capabilities into MLOps, teams can automate critical yet time-consuming tasks, reduce manual errors, and ensure models remain high-performing in production. These technologies don’t just support MLOps—they supercharge it.
Automating Repetitive Tasks: Machine learning algorithms are now used to handle tasks that once required extensive manual effort, such as:
Data Preprocessing: Automatically cleaning, transforming, and validating data.
Feature Engineering: Identifying the most relevant features for a model based on data patterns.
Model Selection and Hyperparameter Tuning: Using AutoML to test multiple algorithms and configurations, selecting the best-performing combination with minimal human input.
This level of automation accelerates model development and ensures consistent, scalable results.
Intelligent Monitoring and Self-Healing: AI also plays a key role in model monitoring and maintenance:
Predictive Monitoring: AI can detect early signs of model drift, performance degradation, or data anomalies before they impact business outcomes.
Self-Healing Systems: Advanced systems can trigger automatic retraining or rollback actions when issues are detected, keeping models accurate and reliable without waiting for manual intervention.
Key Applications of AI/ML in MLOps
AI and machine learning aren’t just being managed by MLOps—they’re actively enhancing it. From training models to scaling systems, AI/ML technologies are being used to automate, optimize, and future-proof the entire machine learning pipeline. Here are some of the key applications:
1. Automated Model Training and Tuning: Traditionally, choosing the right algorithm and tuning hyperparameters required expert knowledge and extensive trial and error. With AI/ML-powered tools like AutoML, this process is now largely automated. These tools can:
Test multiple models simultaneously
Optimize hyperparameters
Select the best-performing configuration
This not only speeds up experimentation but also improves model performance with less manual intervention.
2. Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD): AI streamlines CI/CD pipelines by automating critical tasks in the deployment process. It can:
Validate data consistency and schema changes
Automatically test and promote new models
Reduce deployment risks through anomaly detection
By using AI, teams can achieve faster, safer, and more consistent model deployments at scale.
3. Model Monitoring and Management: Once a model is live, its job isn’t done—constant monitoring is essential. AI systems help by:
Detecting performance drift, data shifts, or anomalies
Sending alerts or triggering automated retraining when issues arise
Ensuring models remain accurate and reliable over time
This proactive approach keeps models aligned with real-world conditions, even as data changes.
4. Scaling and Performance Optimization: As ML workloads grow, resource management becomes critical. AI helps optimize performance by:
Dynamically allocating compute resources based on demand
Predicting system load and scaling infrastructure accordingly
Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in real-time
These optimizations lead to cost savings and ensure high availability in large-scale ML deployments.
Benefits of Integrating AI/ML in MLOps
Bringing AI and ML into MLOps doesn’t just refine processes—it transforms them. By embedding intelligence and automation into every stage of the ML lifecycle, organizations can unlock significant operational and strategic advantages. Here are the key benefits:
1. Increased Efficiency and Faster Deployment Cycles: AI-driven automation accelerates everything from data preprocessing to model deployment. With fewer manual steps and smarter workflows, teams can build, test, and deploy models much faster, cutting down time-to-market and allowing quicker experimentation.
2. Enhanced Accuracy in Predictive Models: With ML algorithms optimizing model selection and tuning, the chances of deploying high-performing models increase. AI also ensures that models are continuously evaluated and updated, improving decision-making with more accurate, real-time predictions.
3. Reduced Human Intervention and Manual Errors: Automating repetitive tasks minimizes the risk of human errors, streamlines collaboration, and frees up data scientists and engineers to focus on higher-level strategy and innovation. This leads to more consistent outcomes and reduced operational overhead.
4. Continuous Improvement Through Feedback Loops: AI-powered MLOps systems enable continuous learning. By monitoring model performance and feeding insights back into training pipelines, the system evolves automatically, adjusting to new data and changing environments without manual retraining.
Integrating AI/ML into MLOps doesn’t just make operations smarter—it builds a foundation for scalable, self-improving systems that can keep pace with the demands of modern machine learning.
Future of AI/ML in MLOps
The future of MLOps is poised to become even more intelligent and autonomous, thanks to rapid advancements in AI and ML technologies. Trends like AutoML, reinforcement learning, and explainable AI (XAI) are already reshaping how machine learning workflows are built and managed. AutoML is streamlining the entire modeling process—from data preprocessing to model deployment—making it more accessible and efficient. Reinforcement learning is being explored for dynamic resource optimization and decision-making within pipelines, while explainable AI is becoming essential to ensure transparency, fairness, and trust in automated systems.
Looking ahead, AI/ML will drive the development of fully autonomous machine learning pipelines—systems capable of learning from performance metrics, retraining themselves, and adapting to new data with minimal human input. These self-sustaining workflows will not only improve speed and scalability but also ensure long-term model reliability in real-world environments. As organizations increasingly rely on AI for critical decisions, MLOps will evolve into a more strategic, intelligent framework—one that blends automation, adaptability, and accountability to meet the growing demands of AI-driven enterprises.
As AI and ML continue to evolve, their integration into MLOps is proving to be a game-changer, enabling smarter automation, faster deployments, and more resilient model management. From streamlining repetitive tasks to powering predictive monitoring and self-healing systems, AI/ML is transforming MLOps into a dynamic, intelligent backbone for machine learning at scale. Looking ahead, innovations like AutoML and explainable AI will further refine how we build, deploy, and maintain ML models. For organizations aiming to stay competitive in a data-driven world, embracing AI-powered MLOps isn’t just an option—it’s a necessity. By investing in this synergy today, businesses can future-proof their ML operations and unlock faster, smarter, and more reliable outcomes tomorrow.

Shadyverse Re-verse fic list
Miraculous World Paris dark themed fanfics
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Original post here: Compliance
Decided to create a separate post for this list. These are re-verse fics dealing with angst, bullying, abuse, war, death and co-dependency; themes that were (surprisingly) introduced in the Paris special. These are not the fluffy lovely ones. I should make a separate list because I love them too.
**trigger warning** read at your own discretion.
==== I am finally back to catching up with my fic-reading in 2025 so... list will be updated ====
Complete:
2025 update
@hamsteriffic MUST READ Requiem for a Dream Hugely popular. I don't want to spoil much but this fic is like 3 different genres in one humongous volume (yes these numbers are correct Words:141,110 Chapters:35/35). The art is gorgeous, characters are complex and the story runs well wrapped up arcs. Plus it comes with a soundtrack. Not for the faint of heart because it's a deep dive to the world of the Supreme (guess what, Supreme included as a character). Go read with an open mind because this fic is R rated (Explicit) for a reason. But you will not regret reading it. And after you read it go and take a look at the comment section... you'll have fun.
@ladynoirfanao3 Dawning Light paired with the mirrored spinoff "Sideways" *still ongoing* this series will go down history the most popular Shadyverse/Reverse Miraculous series in this angsty category (correct me if I'm wrong). And it is Why have the cool reverse kids if you can have them mingle with the normie versions. Hello!!! This is Shadybug paired with our lovely sunshine boy. She brings enough emo emotion to the story... I'm shipping them so HARD!
@monpetitchattriste Dying on the Inside one shot. Explores the very steamy toxic relationship between pre-special Claw and Shadybug. Touches on their personal struggles and how they are using each other to escape reality. Beautiful and emotional. There's a sequel in the works. Check below.
@xiueryn You can call me villain Complete multichapter re-verse Shadyverse fic about parent abuse, bullying, death, crime and two young teenagers navigating it all. Just read it. Thank me later.
@tanzle 's Caring Fleabag don't let the cute title fool you. this is gritty, action packed and heavily emotional. Multichapter and complete.
@dreamer-from-yuggoth @artemonh has many ficlets You know my name (Shady and Claw post-special realize their new purpose), I would let you win (The supreme bloody games) Blood on his hands (Claw's haunting memories), Shadybug tattoo (this is actually a sweet romantic one. Love it <3)
@toxinellebug Extensive and detailed Alt world ruled by the Supreme. Too many fav posts to count. It's like a re-verse AU encyclopedia. I think this is complete but you never know... an update might be around the corner. Update: Yeah! New posts
Frisky69's To a World of Absolution was the first fic i read that explores the final moments of Shadybug and Clawnoir. *awestruck*
AelitaYoru's La Chute du Double Maléfique I'm still obsessed with the veins/disease effect of the miraculous. They better refer to it in S6
@aanabear2803 surprised me with this tiny ficlet You don't belong here Lila got what she deserved from the evil pair *trigger warning*
Ongoing:
@ladynoirfanao3 Sideways **ongoing audiobook** sequel to Dawning Light and featuring my favorite Adrien version. (sorry chat... i'm a Claw fan thru and thru) so OF COURSE this is my favorite between the two. I'm partial to it and I am still reading it. PLUS there's a PODFIC. Not AI. This is the real deal. Adds so much to listen Claws inner struggles and nonchallant attitude and how he is balanced with Ladybug's energy. Drama.
@revolutionary-thoy 's ML Paris Reverse AU * Felix/Kagami/Luka vs the Supreme release ** project in hiatus for now** Still love it.
The Project Reverse AU X. <-love this! Where u can see feat. the big/evil sword. That is the one Shady is handling on the fanart above.
This has grown into EPIC levels. Fav of mine: @justmywritingstuff Speechless Changes AO3 Full of emotions. I think there's only 1/2 chapter left to turn to a complete fic. ALMOST there ... PLEASE FINISH THIS if you can. no pressure but yes please.
@monpetitchattriste @Skin and Bones sequel to dying on the inside. Who knows, might be continued one day. First chapter opens with a lot of promise. Love their dynamics in this fic.
Purple_doom's Dead set against (ongoing) might be abandoned but the three chapters are worth a read. Post special. Reformed Shady and Claw try to survive without being discovered by The Supreme!!
I hope there are more... I am fascinated by the gritty side of this re-verse world.

Note
In the ML world with "true AI" being Markov and Uncanny Valley, I wonder if there's an actual difference between things being considered true AI vs generative programs. I now headcanon Aeon's least favorite class to be art because she struggles to find her own art style.
I mean in ML Canon, Markov is just a microwave lmao.
But in HC I'd say yeah there's a clear difference between them.
Though I could see them having anxiety about whether their art counts lmao

ML Fanfic Recs for 2023: 20K - 40K words
So I’ve been going through and adding particularly good fics I’ve read throughout the year. Only Complete fics, of course. Enjoy!
Alliance!Adrien’s AI is self-writing, enabling him to grow and change and adapt. As he learns and starts analyzing some of his own systems, he finds some disquieting correlations. Why are there such strong connections between akuma attacks and the Alliance network?
Fu keeps on trying to give Marinette Miraculouses. Marinette refuses to cooperate.
Chat is happy with the person Fu chose to succeed him as Guardian, but confused. Why did he choose Multimouse?
One of Hawk Moth’s akuma attacks ends tragically, with many dead, Adrien in critical condition, and Chat Noir MIA. Alya’s prepared to go to extremes to save the people she cares about, if it comes to it.
In Kuro Neko, Adrien decides to seal off his more rebellious, wilder side, in order to make himself into the perfect partner for Ladybug. This has unintended consequences.
Chat Noir suddenly turns on Ladybug, joining up with Monarch as Cat Walker. Marinette’s devastated. At least she still has Adrien by her side.
Nino offers to fake-date Adrien in order to get the paparazzi off his back. He starts to wish it wasn’t fake.
All this and more below the break!
---
The Ghost in the Machine by @jheqiawrites
As part of this function, Adrien knew about Monarch, the akuma butterflies, the victims, and, of course Ladybug and Cat Noir, the heroes of Paris. He was authorized to contact the Ladyblog as well as the citywide alert system if one of his platforms was active during an akuma manifestation, allowing his friends to get somewhere safe until Ladybug and Cat Noir could deal with the situation
While the necessity of these functions was disconcerting, it was programmed to be his routine so he gradually grew used to the inconsistencies. After all, humans tended to be selfish, highly inconsistent, and often flighty, but once you had observed them for a while an intelligence such as his could begin to see the patterns.
That is until she came online.
This is just a beautiful, though bittersweet story. I adore how Alliance!Adrien grows and changes throughout the story, how he develops as a person. He starts off not being able to figure out what he’s feeling, needing to make new modules in order to try to process the emotions he has welling up, and not totally understanding his own reactions. But as time goes on he grows and gets a better handle on himself. This isn’t an “evil AI” story, he’s just a person who’s slowly figuring out who he is and how to handle himself.
Not that it’s entirely about Adrien Alliance figuring out his own emotions, there’s other things going on as well. He’s worried about why there seems to be weird surges in the Alliance Network right before akumas attack, for instance, and why the details about the reason for that seem to be hidden from him, making him more paranoid about the Alliance system the more he looks into it...
 It’s just... it’s really good and absolutely worth a read.

Thanks, But No by @pauliestorylover
For every miraculous that Fu cupped in his palms, an image of the same blue-eyed girl flashed through his mind. Marinette Dupain-Cheng was born to hold the miraculous—she resonated with every single one of them far better than even the late Celestial Guardian, and it was Fu’s duty as the last Guardian not to allow such talent to slip through his hands.
Too bad Marinette wasn’t on the same page.
Or; au where Master Fu keeps throwing miraculous at Marinette hoping one will stick, Marinette goes around handing out miraculous like candy, and Wayzz has never seen anything so ridiculous in his millennia-long lifespan.
This one’s fun. Everyone except for Adrien ends up with a different Miraculous than in canon, and it’s really interesting to see how they all adapt. Marinette’s thorough noping out is pretty funny too, and there’s some sweet bits of Adrino and Alyanette in here!
---
The Power of Love by @nedjsmlfavs
In which Ladybug announces that she’s pregnant via her long term boyfriend and Chat Noir is a supportive partner. After all, he can hardly be upset when he’s been dating his Princess for years!
A different take on the show’s tagline (“The Power of Love Always so Strong”) written for Valentine’s day 2023.
This is just a sweet, fluffy fic about Ladybug and Chat Noir finding out they’re having a baby, revealing to each other, getting married, and becoming parents. Gabriel actually tries to do better here, as he does actually care about getting to know his grandchild, and realizes that he can’t undo this timeline without undoing his granddaughter’s existence as well.
---
Radio Silence by @into-september
When an inexplicable change between Marinette and Adrien brings the two closer than ever, Alya is left on the outside of a secret too confounding to be about cheesemaking or puppy love.
[No S4 AU]
This is a wonderful Alya-centric fic, with her just being baffled by Marinette’s and Adrien’s newfound closeness. But it’s not all about her being puzzled by the Lovesquare. Things really get rolling when Lila makes her entrance and Marinette and Adrien are particularly hostile to her, with Alya being confused about it and thinking there must be a misunderstanding here, somewhere, even with Lila saying something she KNOWS can’t be true - partially because she doesn’t want to believe she’s been fooled all this time.
But this isn’t a saltfic. Alya’s treated like a full person, and her perspective and thoughts are given credence. She and Marinette talk things out in depth, with both of them feeling badly for accidentally hurting the other person, and reassuring each other (Marinette also told a lie, though unbeknownst to Alya, it was connected to her being a superhero. Alya, however, didn’t know that, and just knew that Marinette lied to her for no clear reason), and they make up. It’s really nice and treats the characters with love and respect.
It’s got a lot of similarities to The Investigation by @11jj11, so if you liked that fic, you’ll probably like this one too.
---
I’ll give myself a name (something stupid and pretentious) by @bbutterflies
Nino looked at the number and didn’t recognize it. Usually he wouldn’t answer, but he had nothing better to do – and could still really use a distraction – so he did. “Hello?”
“Hey, Nino.”
Nino stood up quickly, chest tightening. He knew that voice. He’d been waiting to hear it again for over two years. “Adrien?” he whispered.
“Yeah. It’s me."
-
When Monarch is defeated (and revealed to be Gabriel Agreste), Chat Noir immediately goes missing. Adrien disappears not long after. When Adrien finally shows up in Paris again, Nino would do anything to make sure he doesn't disappear again.
Ah this is lovely, Adrien’s been in a lot of emotional turmoil since Monarch’s defeat, convinced that everyone would hate him, SHOULD hate him, for not realizing that his father was the villain, and should hate him even more for disappearing like he does. But slowly Marinette and Nino get through to him, convince him that they just want him back.
And also Adrien and Nino smooch. Multiple times. So that’s a bonus XD.
---
The New Guardian Is... Multimouse?  by The_Rabbit42
During the events of Miracle Queen, Master Fu passes on the role of guardian to a surprising successor... Multimouse! Marinette is frustrated, Alya is confused, and Chat Noir is oddly pleased. How will this affect Marinette's friendships and partnership on both sides of her identity? How will this affect Adrien's view of the girls in his life? And how long will they keep it together?
I adore this fic! It diverges from the season 3 ending, with Multimouse - who Chat knows is Marinette, becoming Guardian instead of Ladybug. Which leads to some ripple effects, like Marinette not confessing her identity to Alya, since she’s able to get some support from Chat when he drops by her house. Not that that stops tension from building between Ladybug and Chat Noir, since she won’t just let Chat go and get a Miraculous from Marinette during a battle, and she won’t tell him why, leading him to think that she just dislikes Marinette or doesn’t trust him to get Miraculous like she does. But even while all this tension is building between Ladybug and Chat Noir, Chat’s still able to talk to Marinette, air his feelings in ways he doesn’t feel like he should do with Ladybug, and it’s all a great, complicated situation that I thoroughly enjoyed seeing unfold!
---
Two Steps Back (One Step Forward) by @buggachat
Sure, Adrien hadn't been texting her as often as he used to. And sure, Nino noticed it too. But just because Adrien had struggled with depression in the past, didn't mean he was struggling now. Surely, he'd tell her if something was wrong. Right?
Marinette just missed him, and she had a tendency to catastrophize. Surely, he was fine.
But if he wasn't... well, she wasn't above hopping on a flight back to Paris to make sure.
—————
Marinette's at an internship in New York, and Adrien has a depression relapse.
Once again buggachat comes out swinging with a fic centered around Adrien being super depressed and his friends charging in to help him, despite him not wanting them to because he feels like a burden. It’s not easy and Marinette goes through a lot of emotional turmoil, especially since his apartment is in bad enough shape that it can’t be changed to something that a human should be living in without also going shopping, but gradually she helps drag Adrien out of the hole he’s gotten himself stuck in. The emotions are on point and just... if you want to read a hurt/comfort fic with Found Family helping one of their own who’s struggling and doesn’t think they deserve it, this is a great fic to read.
---
If only I could break free by megetstoread
It started with Adrien being upset about going away, but led to a lot of revelations.
Another Sentiadrien fic here! After telling Adrien that he’s being sent to London, Gabriel takes advantage of Adrien being distraught to akumatize him. Luckily Ladybug’s right there and deakumatizes him before he can even do anything, but it shakes both her and Chat, leading to her allowing him to tell her a lot more about his home life than usual, and for her and Adrien to investigate to see whether there might be more to Adrien’s inability to stand against his father than just psychological abuse.
---
Skinny Dipping in the Seine by whensparksfly
When Marinette and Chat Noir cross paths one stormy night, an unexpected friendship blossoms, and between the two of them they’re both able to admit what they’ve been looking for the most — freedom. Vowing to tackle all of the things they’ve never tried before, they set out on a series of adventures to complete their bucket lists.
Cute little Marichat fic here! Just Marinette and Chat Noir hanging out and doing things they’ve always wanted to do, like going to a rave or, well, skinny-dipping in the Seine.
---
Nor No Man Ever Loved by @jheqiawrites
It starts with a gift to cheer up a friend, a friend Marinette's heart is trying to move on from. But when she is blatantly confronted with her feelings by the most unexpected person, Marinette's life takes a turn for the better.
Welcome to my Adrienette April story. It is based around Shakespeare's Sonnet 116: Let Me Not to the Marriage of True Minds. Each chapter will be framed around part of the sonnet and should be able to stand alone, though the story itself will all be tied together.
This is a nice little story, mostly focusing on Marinette’s perspective while being there for Adrien, WITH Adrien, while dealing with his father and the aftermath of his father’s takedown. We do get some perspective from Adrien though for things like his therapist appointments. I really like that it covered some of the therapy Adrien should have after this event, he needs it.
---
Villainous Matchmaking by @nedjsmlfavs
When Chat Noir is tragically unable to attend an event with Ladybug, the mayor calls in a favor from a designer ‘friend’. Now she’s attending in style, on the arm of the hottest male model in Paris. Which would be fine if it weren’t for one, tiny issue: Paris’ favorite domestic terrorist now knows how Ladybug feels about his son. This leads him to his greatest plan yet, using Ladybug’s extremely obvious crush on Adrien Agreste to akumatize Chat Noir.
A Ladrien/“platonic” Ladynoir fic
This is adorable and hilarious. Gabriel keeps on “accidentally” releasing things which makes it looks like Adrien and Ladybug are a couple in an effort to make Chat Noir jealous, while Adrien and Ladybug ae just over-the-moon about getting to spend time together and finding out that the other person loves them XD.
---
Vantage Point by @ashes-555
Most of the time, with more information, life get easier and things make more sense. But Alya discovers that sometimes, knowing everything is just plain complicated.
Alya POV fic here, which instantly drew my attention, I think most people know how much I love fics giving her some focus.
This is set post-Gang of Secrets. Basically, Ladybug tells Chat that he can tell someone his secret identity, and he chooses Alya (he thought about telling Nino, but he didn’t want to rock the boat with Nino since he’s his best friend, and he figured Nino would let it slip to Alya anyway). Which leads to Alya just. Dying. As she deals with knowing the full truth about the Lovesquare and not being able to tell Adrien and Marinette that they’re chasing each other around in circles.
The fic soon changes gears, though, becoming a Hawkmoth Defeat fic, with Rena coming up with a plan to discover Scarlet Moth’s location, and then everyone dealing with the ramifications.
---
Justifying the Means by @ashes-555
When the worst happens, Alya finds that she may be willing to do the unthinkable. Is any sacrifice to big to make for her friends?
Once again, Ashes comes out swinging with an Alya focused fic!
Basically, there’s a major, destructive akuma attack. During it, Ladybug orders Chat to cataclysm a building in order to stop from being trapped. Unfortunately the building collapses, injuring or killing a lot of people - unbeknownst to her, including Chat Noir. Gabriel releases the akuma, which means she has no way of fixing the damage, either.
A lot of of focus is placed on Alya and Nino worrying over Adrien, who was found in the wreckage barely clinging to life, in a coma, with the doctors unsure whether he’d make it. Shadow Moth takes advantage of their distress to make an offer: if he gets the Ladybug and Black Cat Miraculouses, he can make a Wish to fix everything, including saving Adrien. With as dark a place as Alya and Nino are in, they seriously consider it. Especially with how unhappy both of them are with Chat Noir supposedly “abandoning” Ladybug and Paris as a whole, and Nino being angry with Ladybug for failing (since Alya knows that Marinette is Ladybug, she’s far more understanding on that front).
I love how much credence Alya’s thought and emotions are given here, and that she doesn’t go for the more drastic option right away, either - she talks with Ladybug about it first, tries to do it her way. She understands the costs, but... her friends are important to her, and she’s desperate. I think this was a really good way to present a more antagonistic sort of Alya. She’s still very much herself here, and still considers Marinette her friend, willing to do things her way to an extent, and understanding why Marinette doesn’t want to use the Wish, even though she disagrees with her. Alya’s mindset, her emotions, her problems, are given respect and credence by the narrative. She’s still willing to talk things out, she’s still sympathetic to Marinette and the enormous trauma and guilt she’s going through, she just disagrees with Marinette’s approach. She wants her friend back.
If you want a fic that has some solid focus on Alya as a person, on her emotional struggles and mindset and just... dealing with things, I highly recommend checking out “Justifying the Means”.

Would Trust You With Everything by @kasienda
Nino breaks off, tears streaking down his face. Adrien wishes he was here as himself instead of Chat so he could offer a hug.
“It’s not like I don’t think she deserved her privacy. It’s just it felt like I was her last priority. And if I knew why, then maybe we could overcome it. But when I don’t, I’m not willing to be her last thought. You know? I always put her first.”
“Yeah,” Chat agrees, able to relate too well. He always put Ladybug first too, and he’s not sure it has ever been the same for her. “I’m sorry you’ve been so alone through this."
“I haven’t been totally alone,” Nino disagrees, holding up his phone. “My best friend has been keeping me company virtually most of the day.”
“Yeah? It helped?”
“I don’t know if any of the stuff he sent helped, but like, given what I know he’s up to, he totally had to move heaven and earth to talk to me so much, and that really helped. You know, just knowing that someone was thinking of me.”
“I’m glad,” Chat Noir said. “I wish he could be there in person for you.”
Nino sighs. “Yeah, me too, but at least you’re here."
...
Season 4 au - canon divergent from Rocketear Rocketear led to DJWiFi breakup.
Ahh, Adrino my beloved XD. I love the identity shenanigans in this one with Adrien being around Nino as both Adrien and Chat Noir, and both of them vaguely describing their situations to each other. It takes Adrien a bit to figure out that he has a crush on Nino, but once he does...

Dr. Walker & Kitty Hyde series by @pearl484-blog
Summary of the first fic, Rain Falls, Everybody Lies:
Chat Noir loves the rain. He loves the danger. He loves the excitement, and he especially loves how much Catwalker hates it.
Jekyll and Hyde AU
Adrien AUGreste Entry 3: Rain
So like the summary says, and the title indicates, this series is inspired by the popular conception of Dr Jekyll and Mr. Hyde - not how the book actually goes, but how it’s portrayed in popular media, with Jekyll splitting himself in two, with a “good” side and a “bad” side.
During Kuro Neko, instead of just changing his appearance through changing his mindset, Adrien took more extreme measures, sealing off his “undesirable” characteristics, his anger and sadness and all his sharp edges, into the ring so he could assume a more placid, genial persona that’d be more accepted - Cat Walker.
But Chat Noir’s still there, taking over whenever Adrien gets too testy, and desperately trying not to be pressed out of existence entirely. With embodying Adrien’s sealed anger and snappishness and rebelliousness, he’s not too kind to the other heroes - he already felt looked down upon and ignored before this, and seeing them accept Cat Walker while he’s fighting for his life doesn’t endear them to him either.
The series isn’t unfair to them - this isn’t a case where one party is entirely in the wrong and another’s entirely in the right. Marinette, Zoe, Nino, and all the others - they did wonder about what was going on with Chat, but he wasn’t in a position where he could see it, and he did have legitimate questions about how much Ladybug would budge on things, if he’d told her what he was going through. It’s a series that emphasizes characters hurting and lashing out in some terrible ways, but that hurt still being respected, and working things out, trying to get everything to a better place.

First Dance, Second Chance by @gabriel-agreste-has-no-rights
After fighting by Ladybug's side as Aspik, Adrien finally has an excuse to connect with her. But when Gabriel voices concerns about Ladybug during a charity event, Adrien realizes she might need him for more than just one dance.
Or, the one where Ladybug and Adrien work together to find out Hawkmoth's identity, while maybe squeezing in a date or two along the way.
Ladrien Hawkmoth defeat fic here! I love Ladybug and Adrien teaming up to figure out how to track down Hawkmoth and defeat him, and being super supportive of each other more generally. If you like Ladrien and Hawkmoth Defeat fics, you should check it out!
---
The Great War by icebelle24
'And maybe it’s the past that’s talking, screaming from a crypt Telling me to punish you for things you never did So I justified it'
The unthinkable happens, and suddenly, Chat Noir’s allegiances change. Now Ladybug stands on the opposite side of the battlefield from the boy who was once her partner, left alone to make sense of an impossible situation.
At least she still has Adrien to give her hope. Or maybe things are not entirely as they seem.
I adore Ladynoir enemies au, and this is a good one. The reveal of what’s really going on is pretty great, everything makes sense. I love the pieces of Alya’s POV in this as well, as she’s trying to support Marinette through one of the biggest betrayals that could possibly happen, even while Marinette’s making some frustrating decisions that don’t make much tactical sense. Everyone’s pissed at Chat Noir (now Cat Walker) for apparently siding with Hawk Moth, and the subsequent frustrating inability to make any headway against him, as Ladybug always insists on fighting Cat Walker personally, and letting no one else take part.
---
The moment I knew (I’d no choice but to love you) by @bbutterflies
“He’s dating me,” Nino said, taking Adrien’s hand in his own.
Adrien could only stare back at him in shock.
“How dare you all force him to come out?” Nino continued, glaring at the reporters. “That was disgusting.” He pulled Adrien over to the car, guided him in, and shut the door behind them.
In the relative quiet and privacy of the backseat, Adrien finally processed what had just happened. “So… when were you going to tell me we were dating?”
This Adrino fic is delicious XD. Reporters keep hounding Adrien about his love life, so Nino finally gets them off Adrien’s back by fake-dating him. Problem is, Adrien’s actually been madly in love with Nino for years but has never been able to tell him. And now as they’re spending more time together, Nino’s beginning to find that he’s enjoying all these “couple” activities more than maybe he ought to if it’s entirely platonic...
If you want to see Adrien and Nino PINING for each other while “fake” dating (is it really fake if both parties want it to be real?) then you’ve come to the right fic!

Evillustrator Reimagined by onewaywriteturn
A full, mostly-standalone rewrite of the episode "The Evillustrator".
Nathaniel never planned to tell anyone about his secret crush on his friend Marc, but his world changes when Chloe picks up his sketchbook and mocks his art in front of the whole class, inadvertently outing him as bisexual. Now as the Evillustrator, he has two objectives: to take vengeance on Chloe for what she did to him and to go on a date with Marc for his birthday.
At the same time, Marinette is already struggling to defend Sabrina from Chloe when she learns of the Evillustrator's crush on Marc, one of her good friends. And while getting Marc involved with an akuma fight is messy enough, the fact that Marc has secretly liked Nathaniel for a long time complicates the situation so much more.
If you ever wanted to see Evillustrator rewritten to focus around NathMarc, this is the fic for you! The two of them just PINE for each other so hard and are so convinced that the other person couldn’t possibly actually want to date them, even with Evillustrator making it uh. Exceedingly obvious XD.

It doesn't excuse the misinformation and reactionary sentiments that get thrown around, but something I reality check myself on occasionally is that the sharp divide, especially on capabilities/usefulness, between a lot of computing/ML people and the general public in how they view modern AI post its popular emergence into culture really is due to where those two crowds are coming from.
If you've been into AI, machine learning on really anything to do with computing/automation at all, you've seen how useless pretty much all automation/machine data comprehension used to be outside of a very narrow context. You've programmed algorithms to try and simulate aspects of human speech, to query databases, to try and classify different data sets. From that context, you look at something like ChatGPT and rightfully recognize it as a paradigm changing near miracle, because your baseline was so low.
Meanwhile, you have your laypeople who have only interacted with humans and fictional portrayals of AI systems that act like humans, so when presented with something and told that it's an AI that's more realistic than ever, I guess that's the assumption. It always frustrated me to see these long essays talking like they've just "discovered" that a new model is unreliable or can't robustly understand a given task, or that it's just emulating a behaviour instead of really "experiencing" the internals of it. I was always like, why would you ever assume it can do that? Nothing before has ever been able to come close, why would you expect perfection immediately? But I need to remind myself that most people have had this drop into their lives out of the blue and really have almost no realistic grounding.
I do need people to recognize that this is a consequence of their own lack of knowledge and information than to talk like people in tech have actively "deceived" them. When you drill down into stuff like the "it's not really AI" conversation, it's always just "I had assumptions and this didn't live up to them", but people are always so aggressive about it, like they've been deliberately taken for a ride. I need people to have a little humility here and recognize that what actually happened is that they didn't know as much as they thought they did.
Of course in the current climate that would require acknowledging that the entire AI field isn't composed of simpering Elon Musk-worshipping "techbro" idiots selling snake oil, against whom anyone else is immediately morally, and therefore apparently intellectually, superior to. So I'm not holding my breath too hard.
(Obligatory fuck Elon Musk in case anyone gets the wrong idea, I am also using "Elon Musk fan" as derogatory. Not because his companies have never done anything technically interesting but because the man himself is doing more harm to the world and the reputation of the fields he sticks his dick in than practically anyone alive right now)

What is the difference between AI testing and automation testing?
Automation Testing Services
Tumblr media
As technology continues to evolve, so do the methods used to test software. Two popular approaches in the industry today are AI testing and Automation Testing. While they are often used together or mentioned side by side, they serve different purposes and bring unique advantages to software development. Let's explore how they differ.
What Is Automation Testing?
Automation Testing involves writing and crafting test scripts or using testing tools and resources to run the tests automatically without human intervention. As it's commonly used to speed up repetitive testing tasks like regression testing, performance checks, or functional validations. These tests follow a fixed set of rules and are often best suited for stable, predictable applications with its implementation. Automation Test improves overall efficiency, reduces human error, and helps the developers and coders to release software faster and with precise detailing.
What Is AI Testing?
AI testing uses artificial intelligence technologies like ML, NLP, and pattern recognition to boost their software testing process and operations. Unlike Automation Tests, AI testing can learn from data, predict where bugs might occur, and even adapt test cases when an application changes. While it makes the testing process more innovative and flexible, especially in complex and tough applications where manual updates to test scripts are time-consuming.
Key Differences Between AI Testing and Automation Testing:
Approach: Automation Test follows pre-written scripts, while AI testing uses the data analysis and learning to make precise decisions with ease.
Flexibility: Automation Test requires the updates if the software changes or adapts to new terms; AI testing can adapt automatically and without any interpretation.
Efficiency: While both of the testing methods aim to save time, AI testing offers more intelligent insights and better prioritization of test cases with its adaptation.
Use Cases: Automation Tests are ideal and suitable for regression tests and routine tasks and common testing. AI testing is better suited for dynamic applications and predictive testing.
Both methods are valuable, and many companies use a combination of Automation Testing and AI testing to achieve reliable and intelligent quality assurance. Choosing the correct method depends on the project's complexity and testing needs. Automation Test is best for repetitive and everyday tasks like checking login pages, payment forms, or user dashboards and analytics. It's also helpful in regression testing — where old features must be retested after  certain updates or standard system upgrades.
Companies like Suma Soft, IBM, Cyntexa, and Cignex offer advanced automation test solutions that support fast delivery, better performance, and improved software quality for businesses of all sizes.

the difference between blockchain/NFT and AI/ML is that the techbro scam shit for AI/ML is actually burying a cool and useful technology and its so fucking AHGHSDKLKLFJSLDKFJ
like you can see it with the bread/cancer detection thing
or sorting algos
like
there are loads of nice use cases for ML/AI in business operations that aren't "lets destroy the livelihoods of artists, make our products look cheap and shitty, and drown our clerks in work correcting the hallucinations of a bot"
but everyone wants you to put a hallucinating robot in charge of their business it seems

Don't get me wrong but i think tae and jk match their energy in these kinda activities too. As we have seen in ep3 they play like 5 yr old when around together cause one does something and the other follows cause they share these same mischievous kinda thoughts like for example that headbanging thing like tae started it and jk followed it. There's a reason they're called partners in crime cause they share same energy level. with jkk they also have same interest but there's also a different feel to it.
Tae and jk are more of carefree in nature while as jm is careful. You can easily tell who's the hyung of ml. So idt atleast in those activities tae would feel left out. @/Jeoncatalyst on Tumblr made a great post about the difference between vminkook's dynamics she's explained it very well what's the difference.
In not saying you should agree with me but it's just something what i felt.
Tae and JK's relationship feels fun and chaotic in the best of ways. All those years of friendship, you can definitely tell that they match each others energy, and would absolutely enjoy doing activities together. I also think that regardless of the situation or environment or the show concept itself, Jimin and Jungkook would never want him to feel left out, and would do their best to include him in everything. It's just that thing sometimes when you're in a group of three people, and two people in that group have a different kind of vibe when they are together that you can just feel, and even though the intention isn't bad, it can be hard for that other person not to feel it.
JM and JK's bond feels undefinable to me, in the sense that it probably runs deep in ways we as fans will just never understand. Its like this intangible thing that you know is there, that you can see with your eyes, that feels different from other relationships in the group, but it's hard to fully explain if that makes sense, which is why I'm loving AYS so much. 😅

SEMANTIC TREE AND AI TECHNOLOGIES
Tumblr media
Semantic Tree learning and AI technologies can be combined to solve problems by leveraging the power of natural language processing and machine learning.
Semantic trees are a knowledge representation technique that organizes information in a hierarchical, tree-like structure.
Each node in the tree represents a concept or entity, and the connections between nodes represent the relationships between those concepts.
This structure allows for the representation of complex, interconnected knowledge in a way that can be easily navigated and reasoned about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
CONCEPTS
Semantic Tree: A structured representation where nodes correspond to concepts and edges denote relationships (e.g., hyponyms, hyponyms, synonyms).
Meaning: Understanding the context, nuances, and associations related to words or concepts.
Natural Language Understanding (NLU): AI techniques for comprehending and interpreting human language.
First Principles: Fundamental building blocks or core concepts in a domain.
AI (Artificial Intelligence): AI refers to the development of computer systems that can perform tasks that typically require human intelligence. AI technologies include machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and more. These technologies enable computers to understand reason, learn, and make decisions.
Natural Language Processing (NLP): NLP is a branch of AI that focuses on the interaction between computers and human language. It involves the analysis and understanding of natural language text or speech by computers. NLP techniques are used to process, interpret, and generate human languages.
Machine Learning (ML): Machine Learning is a subset of AI that enables computers to learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. ML algorithms can analyze data, identify patterns, and make predictions or decisions based on the learned patterns.
Deep Learning: A subset of machine learning that uses neural networks with multiple layers to learn complex patterns.
EXAMPLES OF APPLYING SEMANTIC TREE LEARNING WITH AI.
1. Text Classification: Semantic Tree learning can be combined with AI to solve text classification problems. By training a machine learning model on labeled data, the model can learn to classify text into different categories or labels. For example, a customer support system can use semantic tree learning to automatically categorize customer queries into different topics, such as billing, technical issues, or product inquiries.
2. Sentiment Analysis: Semantic Tree learning can be used with AI to perform sentiment analysis on text data. Sentiment analysis aims to determine the sentiment or emotion expressed in a piece of text, such as positive, negative, or neutral. By analyzing the semantic structure of the text using Semantic Tree learning techniques, machine learning models can classify the sentiment of customer reviews, social media posts, or feedback.
3. Question Answering: Semantic Tree learning combined with AI can be used for question answering systems. By understanding the semantic structure of questions and the context of the information being asked, machine learning models can provide accurate and relevant answers. For example, a Chabot can use Semantic Tree learning to understand user queries and provide appropriate responses based on the analyzed semantic structure.
4. Information Extraction: Semantic Tree learning can be applied with AI to extract structured information from unstructured text data. By analyzing the semantic relationships between entities and concepts in the text, machine learning models can identify and extract specific information. For example, an AI system can extract key information like names, dates, locations, or events from news articles or research papers.
Python Snippet Codes for Semantic Tree Learning with AI
Here are four small Python code snippets that demonstrate how to apply Semantic Tree learning with AI using popular libraries:
1. Text Classification with scikit-learn:
```python
from sklearn.feature_extraction.text import TfidfVectorizer
from sklearn.linear_model import LogisticRegression
# Training data
texts = ['This is a positive review', 'This is a negative review', 'This is a neutral review']
labels = ['positive', 'negative', 'neutral']
# Vectorize the text data
vectorizer = TfidfVectorizer()
X = vectorizer.fit_transform(texts)
# Train a logistic regression classifier
classifier = LogisticRegression()
classifier.fit(X, labels)
# Predict the label for a new text
new_text = 'This is a positive sentiment'
new_text_vectorized = vectorizer.transform([new_text])
predicted_label = classifier.predict(new_text_vectorized)
print(predicted_label)
```
2. Sentiment Analysis with TextBlob:
```python
from textblob import TextBlob
# Analyze sentiment of a text
text = 'This is a positive sentence'
blob = TextBlob(text)
sentiment = blob.sentiment.polarity
# Classify sentiment based on polarity
if sentiment > 0:
sentiment_label = 'positive'
elif sentiment < 0:
sentiment_label = 'negative'
else:
sentiment_label = 'neutral'
print(sentiment_label)
```
3. Question Answering with Transformers:
```python
from transformers import pipeline
# Load the question answering model
qa_model = pipeline('question-answering')
# Provide context and ask a question
context = 'The Semantic Web is an extension of the World Wide Web.'
question = 'What is the Semantic Web?'
# Get the answer
answer = qa_model(question=question, context=context)
print(answer['answer'])
```
4. Information Extraction with spaCy:
```python
import spacy
# Load the English language model
nlp = spacy.load('en_core_web_sm')
# Process text and extract named entities
text = 'Apple Inc. is planning to open a new store in New York City.'
doc = nlp(text)
# Extract named entities
entities = [(ent.text, ent.label_) for ent in doc.ents]
print(entities)
```
APPLICATIONS OF SEMANTIC TREE LEARNING WITH AI
Semantic Tree learning combined with AI can be used in various domains and industries to solve problems. Here are some examples of where it can be applied:
1. Customer Support: Semantic Tree learning can be used to automatically categorize and route customer queries to the appropriate support teams, improving response times and customer satisfaction.
2. Social Media Analysis: Semantic Tree learning with AI can be applied to analyze social media posts, comments, and reviews to understand public sentiment, identify trends, and monitor brand reputation.
3. Information Retrieval: Semantic Tree learning can enhance search engines by understanding the meaning and context of user queries, providing more accurate and relevant search results.
4. Content Recommendation: By analyzing the semantic structure of user preferences and content metadata, Semantic Tree learning with AI can be used to personalize content recommendations in platforms like streaming services, news aggregators, or e-commerce websites.
Semantic Tree learning combined with AI technologies enables the understanding and analysis of text data, leading to improved problem-solving capabilities in various domains.
COMBINING SEMANTIC TREE AND AI FOR PROBLEM SOLVING
1. Semantic Reasoning: By integrating semantic trees with AI, systems can engage in more sophisticated reasoning and decision-making. The semantic tree provides a structured representation of knowledge, while AI techniques like natural language processing and knowledge representation can be used to navigate and reason about the information in the tree.
2. Explainable AI: Semantic trees can make AI systems more interpretable and explainable. The hierarchical structure of the tree can be used to trace the reasoning process and understand how the system arrived at a particular conclusion, which is important for building trust in AI-powered applications.
3. Knowledge Extraction and Representation: AI techniques like machine learning can be used to automatically construct semantic trees from unstructured data, such as text or images. This allows for the efficient extraction and representation of knowledge, which can then be used to power various problem-solving applications.
4. Hybrid Approaches: Combining semantic trees and AI can lead to hybrid approaches that leverage the strengths of both. For example, a system could use a semantic tree to represent domain knowledge and then apply AI techniques like reinforcement learning to optimize decision-making within that knowledge structure.
EXAMPLES OF APPLYING SEMANTIC TREE AND AI FOR PROBLEM SOLVING
1. Medical Diagnosis: A semantic tree could represent the relationships between symptoms, diseases, and treatments. AI techniques like natural language processing and machine learning could be used to analyze patient data, navigate the semantic tree, and provide personalized diagnosis and treatment recommendations.
2. Robotics and Autonomous Systems: Semantic trees could be used to represent the knowledge and decision-making processes of autonomous systems, such as self-driving cars or drones. AI techniques like computer vision and reinforcement learning could be used to navigate the semantic tree and make real-time decisions in dynamic environments.
3. Financial Analysis: Semantic trees could be used to model complex financial relationships and market dynamics. AI techniques like predictive analytics and natural language processing could be applied to the semantic tree to identify patterns, make forecasts, and support investment decisions.
4. Personalized Recommendation Systems: Semantic trees could be used to represent user preferences, interests, and behaviors. AI techniques like collaborative filtering and content-based recommendation could be used to navigate the semantic tree and provide personalized recommendations for products, content, or services.

tf = TriplesFactory.from_path("./dataset/")
# Train a TransE model on the knowledge graph
model = TransE(triples_factory=tf)
model.fit(num_epochs=100)
# Perform semantic reasoning
head = "concept1"
relation = "isRelatedTo"
tail = "concept3"
score = model.score_hrt(head, relation, tail)
print(f"The score for the triple ({head}, {relation}, {tail}) is: {score}")
```
3. Knowledge Extraction using spaCy:
```python

# Define a multi-agent environment that uses the semantic tree model
class SemanticTreeEnv(MultiAgentEnv):
def __init__(self):
self.semantic_tree = # Initialize the semantic tree
self.agents = # Define the agents
def step(self, actions):
# Implement the environment dynamics using the semantic tree
# Train the hybrid model using Ray
ray.init()
config = {
"env": SemanticTreeEnv,
"model": {
"custom_model": SemanticTreeModel,
},
}
trainer = PPOTrainer(config=config)
trainer.train()
```
Dramas/movies I've finished (or 'finished')
I've watched enough east Asian dramas/movies that I've tripped my brain’s "must make a list" switch. Updated 3/28
Blue = favorites
Also:
Dramas I'm watching / want to watch
Dramas I dropped
Dramas:
2gether the Series (Thai)
I guess a lot of people hate this and don't think the leads have any chemistry at all? But I actually loved them. It's not a hot-and-heavy kind of chemistry; it's very sweet and kind of innocent, but not facile. On the other hand, they were all I liked about the drama.
Ai Long Nhai (Thai)
This is the most ridiculous drama, and it brings me so much joy. Nothing hurts, everything is beautiful. Nhai is a precious scatterbrained bean, and Ai falls in love at first sight. All of the things about Nhai that drive other people crazy just make Ai go all fond and soft. I smiled so much watching this that my face hurt.
A League of Nobleman (Chinese)
Good but definitely felt like it was missing scenes. OT3 Lan Jue/Zhang Ping/Wang Yan!
Bad Buddy (Thai)
Wow this is good! It's Romeo and Juliet with some West Side Story thrown in. The actors are fantastic, and watching how they progress from sort-of-enemies to committed boyfriends is wonderful.
Bed Friend (Thai)
OMG Uea the sharp-edged traumatized bean, and King green-flagging all over except for that one moment where he needed to have his head flushed in a toilet for reacting in the absolute worst way. I love this show A LOT. It's not a perfect rendition of a young man who has suffered a lot of abuse in his life, but it handles that element really well (therapy and medication FTW), and the romance is sweet and sexy.
Between Us (Thai)
I liked the first half a lot, but didn't like Team very much after they got together. His personality/behavior changed; he was, IDK, tougher? earlier, which I liked a lot more. However, I LOVE Win so much I can't even.
Bad Guys (Korean)
There were several moments when certain things almost made me nope out (Oh Gu Tak’s entire self; my overwhelming desire to cut Jung Moon’s hair so that his one eye wouldn’t be perpetually covered up; the detective lady whose name I never bothered to catch), but I was so glad I finished it. Park Hae Jin in eps 9 – 11 blew me away; and the ending was kinda dark but in a way that was so satisfying.
Be Loved In House: I Do (Taiwanese)
Not my favorite Taiwanese bl, but not bad.
Beyond Evil (Korean)
Wow, so much going on. The characters developed beautifully, even though Juwon went through a bit of a bratty phase. I loved the mystery.
The Blood of Youth (Chinese)
I loved this so much. THE FOUR WAY BROMANCE omg. And the way the ML slowly but surely dismantled the villains' plans! He met every set-back with a “well, that’s unfortunate, but I can fix it.” It was great, even though the romance they shoe-horned in for the ML was annoying.
Dangerous Drugs of Sex (Japanese)
I watched this because I was curious. It was... Hmm. Well, all I can say is, if you too become curious, make sure you pay attention to the reasons it's 18+, and then assume it's going to be even more f*cked up than it sounds.
Dr. Romantic 2 (Korean)
Honestly I watched this for the Seo Woo Jin whump (Ahn Hyo Seop does suffering so attractively), but since doctor shows otherwise make me nauseous I didn’t watch the last couple of episodes. But I really liked the various relationships among the different characters.
Duoluo Continent (Chinese)
Watched this for Xiao Zhan. I’ve never watched anything like this outside of having caught a glimpse of the Pokemon and Yu Gi Oh cartoons my kid watched, and it was...different. The FL was so irritating, but I wasn’t burned out on this kind of FL yet when I watched this so it was fine.
En of Love: Love Mechanics (Thai)
Too short! The fact that is was remade with most of the same cast and an expanded story makes this one feel almost like a pilot. It was definitely good enough to make me track down the longer version (which I'm currently watching). YinWar are really engaging actors.
Fish Upon the Sky (Thai)
Same actors as in Never Let Me Go, but this one is a comedy. The main character is a high maintenance nerd who goes through a glow-up that almost no one really notices (because he's STILL a high maintenance nerd) except the guy who has had a crush on him forever. Of course it's a guy he thinks is terrible. I loved it. Which is weird because I generally hate comedies.
Handsome Siblings (Chinese)
I enjoyed it mainly because it’s ridiculous.
He is Psychometric (Korean)
Super cute, comfort show. The twists and turns were great. I loved the characters. Side note: the actor who played young Kang Sung Mo did an amazing job. I actually had to stop at one point and Google the cast to make sure the show hadn’t somehow managed to make the older actor look like a teenager because the younger actor absolutely nailed the older actor’s take on the character. (Turns out the younger actor is the ML in The Uncanny Counter! In which I also love him.)
Healer (Korean)
OMG I love this show. So much. I even loved the romance. I wrote a post about it. (Did I go looking for Ji Chang Wook’s filmography after watching this? Yes, yes I did.)
HIStory 4: Trapped (Taiwanese)
Getting into bl drama is a lot like getting into bl manga/manhwa: requires accepting that dramas with action/mystery/SFF are few and far between. (I would also add "dramas with adults" but there seem to be more and more of those these days.) This was one of the first bl dramas I found that wasn't just a romance, and I was SO EXCITED. It's a little cheesy, but I loved it. The cop/mafioso romance (which is also a grumpy cat/sunshine puppy romance) between the leads is a lot of fun. And it has what might be my absolute favorite side pairing: the always-smiling assassin and his adorable tiny cop boyfriend (a sunshine velociraptor/sunshine puppy pairing, if you will).
Hotel Del Luna (Korean)
This show is amazing! Jang Man Wol stewing in rage and ennui for a thousand years only to have everything turned upside down by a stubborn, good-hearted puppy-man who she ironically stuck herself with. The slow, heartbreaking, breath-catching reveal of Man Wol’s past. The range of creepy, sad, funny, heart-warming ghost stories. The characters. The production quality! Ah, so good.
If You Wish Upon Me (Korean)
Another OMG I LOVE THIS. Ji Chang Wook is so good at “sweet, tough, vulnerable, and a good guy despite being raised by wolves” characters. I did cry semi-regularly due to the nature of the setting, but while I usually avoid things that make me cry, this was good crying. And so worth it. Also, the FL is a hoot, and a BAMF when she takes on the ML's abusive ex.
The Imperial Coroner (Chinese)
Adorable nerds falling in love over corpses in ancient China WHAT’S NOT TO LOVE.
Jade Dynasty (Chinese)
I get why people don’t like this, but I did. It was a silly, sweet, fun story and it only required a time commitment of an hour and some.
Joseon Attorney: A Morality (Korean)
I wanted to like this more than I did, because Woo Do Hwan. Loved him. Favorite part was when he was imprisoned and being tortured and someone came to visit him in his cell and he was fidgeting and fussing with the filthy straw while he talked with them. Like. Oh honey. WTF are you doing, just have a good cry and take a nap before your next torture session my babie. But I got kind of bored? As soon as we found out what happened to his sister I gave up and fast-forwarded through the rest so I could at least see what happened.
Jun & Jun (Korean)
I had to be in the right mood to watch this (open to a silly office romance with ALL the tropes), but when I did finally watch it I loved it. There is second (and third) lead syndrome, but all three of the men in love with Lee Jun are likeable, and I honestly would have been happy with Lee Jun choosing any of them. Also, Lee Jun is the most precious bean.
Lawless Lawyer (Korean)
I struggled through the middle of this. I’m not a huge fan of how in Korean shows everything always goes to absolute shit for the main character(s) mid-way through. I mean, I don’t mind that element of storytelling in general; it’s the way it’s so devastating in so many of these shows. This one hit me when I was in the wrong frame of mind, I think. But I’m glad I stuck it out because the way the villain was ultimately taken down was fantastic.
Love and Redemption (Chinese)
OMG LOVE. Serious, serious love. I wrote a post about this.
Love by Chance (Thai)
Ehhh. I ended up fast-forwarding through all of it except the Ai/Pete stuff. That is a great relationship, though. Pete has internalized politeness to an adorable degree, and is sweet despite having been badly burned; Ai went from "uninterested in dating anyone at all but assumed straight" to "oh I'm in love with this guy? I must be gay. Cool."
Love for Love’s Sake (Korean)
This was a sweet show. The concept was clever, and the way it held onto its secrets until almost the end worked really well.
Love in the Air (Thai)
I tried watching this about a year ago - first Thai drama, first bl drama - and I got through the first arc and quit, and didn't go back to bl or Thai dramas for literal months. It was mostly due to the production quality, the cheesiness, and all of the pouting Rain does. But I went back to it recently, after watching A LOT of Thai bl, and I actually love it? Still cheesy, still wishing they could have invested in a boom mic, but I can handwave that now I guess. I really, really love the second story arc, about PaiSky. Sky is a great character, and Prapai goes through character growth! Starts out a pushy, cocky playboy who thinks it's cute to stalk the guy he likes, ends up being a compassionate, responsible boyfriend.
Mad Dog (Korean)
MORE LOVE. This was the kdrama that caused me to fall down the rabbit hole of kdramas in general. I’ve watched this three times. The found family element, the character journey that especially Kim Min Joon but also Choi Kang Woo go through – help, so good. And what a great introduction to Woo Do Hwan. I wrote a post.
Maiden Holmes (Chinese)
This is like...if your favorite, heart-warming, Jane Austen-inspired romance drama was a mystery set in ancient China and had cool fight scenes. Comfort food.
Manner of Death (Thai)
This is barely a bl (very few bl tropes); it's more of a mystery with romance between the two leads who are both guys. Very good, if a little cheesy in places. And let's not talk about Tan's marriage proposal because wtf dude.
Memorist (Korean)
I watched this early in my exploration of kdramas and didn’t like it for some reason; I fast-forwarded through a lot of it. But I think I might have just not been in the right mood before, because I tried it again and it was excellent! The twists and turns of the mystery, the way things that seemed unrelated turned out to be all connected, was awesome.
Mr. Unlucky Has No Choice But To Kiss! (Japanese)
This was adorable! The main character had a lot more layers than I expected, and his love interest was so sweet.
My Beautiful Man (Japanese)
Two high school boys with problematic behavioral issues whose issues complement each other. It's unexpectedly charming and touching, and I'm really glad there's a sequel!
My Roommate is a Detective (Chinese)
If you want a bromance where you can easily ship the male leads, and has some whump, and you don’t mind cheesiness: here you go!
My Lascivious Boss (Vietnamese)
There's not a lot of Vietnamese bl out there, and I wanted to try one. This one is good; not the greatest acting, but still good. Also, the episodes are so short, so it's a quick watch.
My Tooth Your Love (Taiwanese)
One of the main characters is a dentist, hence the absurd English title. I'm not good with any dentistry situation so I admit I watched a couple of seconds here and there through my fingers, but it's really just a lovely romance. I can't remember where I read it, but this is a good description (paraphrased): the leads woo each other with plushies and naps.
Never Let Me Go (Thai)
Rich high school student's dad is murdered in front of him, and has another high school student, who has never bodyguarded before ever but his dad makes him do it because his dad is kind of a jerk, assigned as his bodyguard. Weird premise, EXCELLENT delivery. The actors who play the boys have great chemistry, and make the characters feel very real.
The Novelist (Japanese)
I don't even know what to say about this drama? It's a bit like those weird little Indie films from the 90s. Like, it's pretty good, but it's also...something.
Numbers (Korean)
I really liked this until the last episode. It fizzled out. Is there supposed to be a second season or something, maybe? IDK.
Oh No Here Comes Trouble (Taiwanese)
Oh this was GOOD. The title and ML's hair cut (yes I judge) made me think it was going to be silly, and there was silliness but there was also a lot of depth and emotion. ML's family situation is a traumatic running thread. The mysteries are clever and fun but heartfelt and sad too. It was just so good.
Old-Fashioned Cupcake (Japanese)
Oh this is so sweet! It's based on a bl manga I haven't read yet, but definitely will because this is just the sweetest, warmest story.
Our Dating Sim (Korean)
Very good, very sweet. I really felt for Gi Tae, waiting so many years, and then hiding so much anxiety.
Sell Your Haunted House (Korean)
Oh this is so good! A great supernatural show, with a great FL, and the FL and ML become besties rather than romantic yay.
Semantic Error [TV show] (Korean)
I watched this because I’d heard of the manga, though I absolutely wasn’t expecting to actually get sucked in like I did. Excellent show. Another one I wrote about.
The Sign (Thai)
I loved this so much!! Action, crime, reincarnation, mythology, romance, humor - there’s so much going on and I enjoyed all of it. The last two episodes used some hand-waving instead of explaining things, but I’m not mad. Billy and Babe had amazing chemistry, too.
Together with Me (Thai)
I couldn't get Manner of Death at the time, but everyone keeps talking about MaxTul, so I watched this. It's not bad.
The Uncanny Counter 1 (Korean)
The first kdrama I watched! The only reason it didn't cause an instant obsession with kdramas is because i started watching Love and Redemption after and that was 59 episodes of blissful hyperfixation. But I love the supernatural/superhero/semi-religious? aspect, I love the different families that the ML has/finds, I love the whump.
Under the Skin (Chinese)
So far this is the only modern Chinese drama I’ve been able to finish. The mysteries were good, the relationship growth between the two male leads was compelling! Good stuff.
Unforgotten Night (Thai)
This show is really pretty terrible. I'm incapable of not laughing when the soundtrack cuts to a track of ~Italian mafioso music every. single. time that Kamol comes on screen. But it's gone so far past terrible that it's come out the other side, and I kinda like it.
The Untamed (Chinese)
First east Asian drama for me! I watched and rewatched this show multiple times in 2021, and without it I don’t think I would have explored [read: become obsessed with] east Asian dramas. I’m still in the fandom and reading the fic and watching the FMVs and etc. I cannot quit WangXian.
Until We Meet Again (Thai)
This is an amazing drama. Romeo and Juliet, but make it a modern bl college story with reincarnation, and the reincarnated Juliet has PTSD from his past life memories. Excellent storytelling, acting, everything.
Watcher (Korean)
Ooooooh this is so good. All of the characters are so compelling, and the overall story kept me engaged. Also, Seo Kang Joon: yes.
Why R U? (Thai)
This is kind of terrible, except that ZeeSaint as Fighter/Tutor absolutely sizzle. I also loved watching Fighter figure out his sexuality via 50% dialogue and actions and 50% Zee's incredibly expressive face.
Word of Honor (Chinese)
I watched this after watching The Untamed, and was kind of meh about it. But then after I’d poked around cdramas a bit, I watched it again and loved it. IDK what happened, but now it’s a fave.
You’re All Surrounded (Korean)
Ok, the FL in this is terrible. So annoying. Despite that and some of the other things that didn’t quite click with me, I was unable to drop it because I NEEDED to find out how Eun Dae Gu’s story would end (very satisfyingly actually!).
Movies:
Long Time No See (Korean)
I love this so much! Assassins; cool fight scenes; traumatized lead; murder boyfriends! UGH it's so good.
The New Employee (Korean)
Not bad. Not great, but not bad.
Pipeline (Korean)
NGL, I watched this because I wanted some Seo In Guk whump. It definitely delivered! It was a fun, fast-paced story, with very little character development and a very underused villain, and really good action. I turned my brain off and enjoyed it. The only thing I couldn't help mentally griping about was the complete lack of ear protection in most (all?) of the drilling scenes. They should have all been partially deaf, good grief.
The Yin Yang Master (Chinese)
Wacky and good!
The Yin Yang Master: Dream of Eternity (Chinese)
Less wacky than the other one, but also good, and the bromance!!!
"I don't like that Tumblr is selling our data to ai companies, so I'm leaving for another website"
Is that website indexable? Can you find accounts and posts and threads on that website through Google? If so, unless the website has come out and said "we prevent (future) ai data scraping and have no intention of selling your data to ai companies", posting there is more likely to get out into ml's datasets than posting on Tumblr with that "ai protection" toggle turned on
The biggest difference between 2020 and now is that 1) websites are trying to specifically sell your data to ai companies and 2) websites give you the option to opt out of this
Anything indexable on the internet before 2021 has already been scraped, and it's not going to become "unscraped". If you are not so outraged at ai for doing that in the recent past, why are you upset when companies do what they do and try to profit off of it
