So I may or may not have turned my project moon yume ships into a project sekai unit :(
A group of four vocalists who sometimes perform on the street, sometimes make covers, and sometimes perform in live shows - as long as they're singing, they're doing what they love.
Their name is 'elysian epoch' and their infodump is below 🧡
THE CHARACTERS
Charlie is a street performer from Miyamasuzaka (1-A) - a vocalist who busks nearly everyday singing sweet love songs between afternoon to night. Occasionally she posts covers on social media, but prefers performing live. She is popular and sociable. The leader of elysian epoch, and Tora's best friend since middle school.
Daniel is a rich kid from Kamiyama (2-B) whose knowledge of music all comes from the rich kid classes his parents sent him to. Has as much of an affinity for coffee as he does for enjoying the musical talent of others! A bright and passionate young man. Part of Kamiyama's Health Committee (insert Welfare joke here) alongside Tora. Classmates with Giovanni.
Tora is a lonely artist from Kamiyama (1-C) who has a complex about her voice sounding 'weird'. She fakes a more typically feminine tone until she is confronted about it. She is awkward but well-meaning. On the Health Committee with Daniel and in the Art Club with Giovanni, and Charlie's best friend since middle school.
Giovanni is another quiet artist from Kamiyama (2-B) who fell into a deep depression after his childhood friend tragically passed away. Often sleeping or doodling aimlessly during class. He regained his inspiration for life after seeing Charlie, Tora and Daniel perform together for the first time.
The Harbour SEKAI is a city-based dock right by a sea that seems to stretch on for miles. There are some cozy shops further back, and the main walking street is lit up by street-lamps. The moon is almost always up, and the sun never rises past the horizon. It is an overall large, spacious area with a lot of environmental value. Miku, Luka and KAITO are the initial Virtual Singers. Thematically the group portrays a blend of VBS and N25. Music genre-wise, their style is mostly night-time city pop (like A4., imase and natori), with the occassional electro swing (like Surii and FAKE TYPE).
THE STORY
Charlie first enters her SEKAI after thinking about where she wants to go with her passion for musical performance. Typical SEKAI things happen where she meets and talks to Miku, before leaving and thinking that it was simply a dream.
The next day, Daniel happens across Charlie's street performance and stays until she finishes her song. She thought he was cute and gave a little wink as fanservice, and though she was disappointed when he left right as the song ended, she continued on with her set. The next day, Charlie infiltrates Kamiyama to spend the lunch break with Tora, and Daniel sees the former after having come to the classroom to ask the latter a question regarding the committee.
Charlie and Daniel recognise each other and chat for a bit, with Daniel praising her vocal performance and Charlie praising him for how much he knows. She becomes slightly infatuated, and once he leaves she makes a light-hearted comment about inviting him to perform with her, which Tora dismisses as a joke.
After more relationship establishment (Daniel and Giovanni as classmates, Giovanni and Tora as club mates, Giovanni and Charlie having negative first impressions of each other) and discussions, Charlie and Daniel eventually perform together and it's wonderful. Tora is happy that her best friend found someone to perform with, but ultimately combats feelings of jealousy at the fact that she isn't there with her.
She becomes slightly withdrawn from her friendship with Charlie but in that time bonds more with Giovanni, as they finally start having proper conversations during their club activities, sharing the same uncertainty in what they want to do with their lives and having art as a grounding crutch.
Charlie notices that Tora is distancing herself a little and expresses her worries to Daniel, and the two of them accidentally end up in SEKAI. Through a discussion with him, Luka and KAITO about not knowing why Tora is suddenly becoming more distant, realises how she doesn't truly know her. She suppresses a breakdown - now feeling guilty, she decides to properly talk to Tora.
They attempt to share a heart to heart in Tora's room, but she struggles in opening up and saying what she wants to say. Charlie decides to bring her to SEKAI to help her calm down, and to her surprise Daniel is already there exploring the area. He gives them privacy, and Tora finally tells Charlie about how she wants to perform with her as well. Charlie is overjoyed and formally invites her to perform together with Daniel, and insists that they sing a song together immediately, to which Tora nervously agrees.
A few days later, Daniel and Giovanni interact. The former is more starry-eyed than usual and Giovanni attempts to poke fun at him, but Daniel starts gushing about performing with Charlie, to which Giovanni reacts neutrally but thinks cynically about, internally dismissing it as a phase or short-lived fulfilment that ultimately won't bring him anywhere. The same day, he notices that Tora is also in higher spirits than usual, and after she essentially tells him the same thing albeit in a more awkward and soft-spoken manner, he ends up slightly spiralling. He stumbles into SEKAI, and has a very confused chat with KAITO before he leaves, wanting to believe that it was a dream but ultimately knowing that it wasn't.
It's Giovanni's turn to become more withdrawn and pessimistic, additionally falling into an artistic slump. Both Daniel and Tora notice but are unsure of how to talk to him, but eventually the former decides to properly approach him and brings him into SEKAI, interrupting a practice session between Charlie and Tora. Giovanni is shocked that they all also have access to SEKAI and vice versa. Charlie, who hasn't had a meaningful interaction with Giovanni since the time they first met, is hesitant in doing so especially now, but after some prompting from her performance partners she decides to invite Giovanni to watch them busk on the street. Giovanni ultimately disregards the suggestion before he leaves, and Charlie is annoyed at his melancholy, but keeps her thoughts to herself after seeing how worried Daniel and Tora are.
The next day, Charlie, Daniel and Tora are about to perform together for the first time and there's no sign of Giovanni. Charlie passively expresses her annoyance, but they start their set. Giovanni, having initially not wanted to go see the three of them, ends up walking past anyhow, and he's captivated by how much they seem to be truly enjoying themselves, and how radiant they appear to be while they're singing. He hurriedly leaves once the song ends, which the other three notice.
Giovanni is unable to be found anywhere for the next two days and Charlie is frustrated by how much Daniel and Tora care, so she goes off to SEKAI by herself under the pretence of wanting to ask Miku a question. She finds Giovanni there by himself, with Miku watching him from a distance. She tells Charlie that he's been wandering around the SEKAI aimlessly, and after some deliberating she caves and goes up to him. She starts off sharply asking him why he ran away after he saw the three of them perform, and he says that seeing them all perform with such passion reminded him of an old friend he had - Carmen - whose death cause him to lose his motivation for life. He admits that seeing them with the same kind of spark and passion that Carmen had absolutely terrified him, but ultimately made him want to find a reason to live his life properly - he is just unsure of how to do such a thing. Charlie sympathises with his loss, before inviting him to be a part of their performance group.
Just as Giovanni agrees, Daniel and Tora enter SEKAI, saying that they were prompted by Miku after she overheard them being concerned about the other two. Charlie establishes them all as a group, and Daniel enthusiastically suggests the name 'Elysium'. Giovanni dislikes them implicitly representing a form of the afterlife, and Charlie then suggests 'elysian epoch', to keep Daniel's idea but turn it into something a little more abstract for Giovanni's sake. They all agree on the name, and 'Untitled' turns into 'Elysium Rendezvous'. Miku, Luka and KAITO come up to them and explain that their feelings turned into a song before prompting them to sing it, and it marks the first time they all sing together as a group.
A few days later they all perform the song live on the streets, and it is noted by Charlie's regulars as the first time she performed an original song, and she happily says that there may be more to come, and now that she has more people with her she's going to try and expand the group's horizons, branching out into doing more things and performing in more places and more forms of media. There are slightly mixed reactions, but Charlie insists that this is the path she wants to take with the group, and as the crowd disperses she hears some people commenting on the other member in a critical manner, additionally some people wanting her to go back to performing solo. She is annoyed at hearing such things, but decides to put on a smile and regroups with the rest of elysian epoch, happily asking them when they're all free to perform together again.

I'm like 80% in book 8 and I need more of Caleb and Seth!!! They are just 😍😍😍!
I'm impatiently waiting for each chapter from their perspective. 🥰
Book 9 better be worth it. Like them becoming Elysian Mates so their parents can't come between them. Otherwise I'll lose it.
Own up to your feelings, boys!

Elysian Mates (From Zodiac Academy Books)
Elysian Mates are the most unpredictable of all the Star Bonds. An Elysian Mate is your absolute perfect match. Your other half, your soul mate, your twin flame, your one true love. It has many names. But in Solaria we call it this. Your Elysian Mate is Star Bound to you somewhere in this world. And if you come into contact with each other, the Zodiac will draw you together like two ends of a rope bound to a turning wheel. And the more time you spend together, the more you will be pulled magnetically and inescapably toward one another. But...the stars will test you. The longer you are in each other’s company, the more volatile the universe will become. And if you pass all of the tests the stars throw at you, you will be presented with your Divine Moment.
Your Divine Moment is the moment the fate between you and your Elysian Mate is decided. You will both be called under the night sky and be presented with the choice to seal your bond forever more. If you choose to stay together, your love will be branded on you, forming a ring of silver around your irises. But if you choose to part... You will be Star Crossed and a black ring will form around your irises, marking your love as doomed by the stars themselves. From that day forward, every celestial being in the universe will work against you, forcing you apart.

Feysand[*]
You don’t even know what happened. One second you had been sat between Feyre and Rhys, his arm draped over the sofa, her hands clasping yours as she talks enthusiastically. The next second you’ve been pushed into Rhys’ lap, the swell of your ass pressing into your High Lord’s cock, grinding against him as his hands settle on your hips.
Her own thighs are spread over your lap, hands brace on Rhys’ shoulders as your own hesitantly clasp her waist, guiding her as she winds her hips over you, desperate for friction. Her mouth opens over yours, devouring as her tongue sweeps in, hungrily lapping at your mouth. Her hands drop to your chest, back curving as she cups your breasts, thumbs running over your perky nipples.
Arousal spikes the air as Rhys’ hands leave your waist, mouth opening over your neck sucking bruises into your soft skin, grazing the tops of your thighs before diving between your thighs. You moan in Feyre’s mouth at the contact, his silver-tipped fingers digging beneath your skirts that have already ridden up, slipping beneath the delicate slip of fabric that clings to your hips.
His fingers massage your clit, dipping down to your entrance to lubricate you, allowing his fingers to move with fluid precision as they dip down again, driving languidly into you, dragging deliciously against your walls. Before you can register what’s going on, Feyre’s hands have slid up your hips, taking your dress with them as she shifts on your lap, your ass pressing onto your High Lord’s cock, making his hips buck.
Her mouth attaches to your nipple, her finger playing with the other one as her tongue darts out flicking over the sensitive skin. It’s so overwhelming, and at the feeling of Rhys’ fingers pressing against a spot, Feyre’s canines scrapping over your nipple, you hit your peak.
Icy, sharp talons pluck at your mind, gentle moderation being used to avoid any pain as your High Lord cups your mind, suspending your pleasure, teetering on the ledge of the fall. Your back arches, muscles screaming for release as tears slide down your cheeks. Feyre kisses them away, hot tongue leaving your breasts as she laps them up, moaning at the taste.
“Please,” you hardly manage the shape of the word before her mouth is sliding over your own, Rhys’ finger fucking into you, pressing the heel of his palm over your clit. ‘Please’ you beg into their minds, ‘please, please, please.’ They don’t stop, pleasure spinning your mind hazy as euphoria never quite peaks. You feel like you’re on the verge of shattering, about to crash to the ground and fracture beneath their hands.
A door swings open, heavy boots scraping the floorboards. A warning from someone who knows how to keep silent.
Relief washes through you as they stop, looking up to see your mate silhouetted in the doorway, shadows curling over his powerful frame, wings protruding from his back, talons adoring their tips. “Azzie…” you whimper, making him grin as he moves forward. Slowly. Lethally.
His hand tangles in Rhys’ inky hair, tugging his head back, exposing the strong column of his throat. “Were they being mean to you, sweet thing?” You nod, more tears rolling from your cheeks as you recognise him as your saviour. Your salvation.
Azriel coos at your behaviour, fist tightening in his High Lord’s hair as Feyre’s grey eyes mark his throat eagerly. “I’m here now, lovely,” he assures, dark gaze settling on his High Lady, “I’m all yours for the night. Whatever you want.” Feyre’s spine stiffens, knowing the words aren’t meant for her.
“What do you want, Angel? Gotta tell me for me to know,” he drawls, shadows writhing about the sofa. Your bright, tear filled eyes settle on his, “want to come,” you whimper, “please, Azzie.” He chuckles, darkly, eyes shifting to Rhys, grin splitting his Elysian mouth. “You heard her, High Lord.”
The talons retract, and all of a sudden you’re free falling through pleasure, mouth dropping open, cunt fluttering around his fingers. And just like that, the tables have turned. It’s your turn to inflict.

North Star Series
Chapter - 34 - Elysian Days
Start Here:
Summary: Fred is teased mercilessly. George and Y/N discuss the future.
Warnings: heavy allusions to sex
~•~
There are times when life just falls perfectly into place. When, no matter what else might be going on in the world, there's a little bright spot where the sun hasn't yet dipped beneath the horizon. It was within that brief moment in time that George and Y/N existed.
Life was, indeed, good. Business was booming. Y/N's research was progressing. She kept talking about something called genes that had nothing to do with denim trousers. And Fred was spending several nights a week over at Angie's place. Thus giving George and Y/N plenty of alone time, a new luxury in which they were more than happy to indulge themselves in.
~•~
"I don't care what sort of shenanigans you get up to while I'm out, as long as it doesn't happen in my room," Fred announced the day after he'd unexpectedly apparated back home to grab something he forgot and discovered his twin and Y/N heating up the kitchen in ways that didn't involve cooking.
"Shenanigans?" George chuckled. "You make it sound like we're running around banging trash bin lids together."
"Hey, whatever turns you on," his twin shrugged. "Just keep it far away from my room."
"Far away from your room, huh?" A mischievous glint lit up George's eyes, and he gave Y/N a quick wink. "So, um, how far away are we talking?"
"Because there was this one time," Y/N joined in without missing a beat.
"We were up against your door," George continued.
"And it wasn't closed very well," Y/N said with a pragmatic air.
"And we just sorta fell through."
Y/N nodded, "Good thing your bed is right there at the entrance."
"It broke our fall." George explained. "And well... you know..."
Fred's eyes went as wide as saucers, "WHAT?"
George snorted, causing Y/N to giggle, and then they both burst out laughing, raising their hands in defense. "We're kidding, mate!" George said. "Put down the pitchfork, ok? We're just kidding."
Fred's shoulders relaxed. "You'd better be."
"We are," Y/N assured him.
"Well, mostly," George added with a shit-eating grin.
~•~
"Poor Freddie. We shouldn't torture him like that," Y/N said, referring to their earlier conversation.
"He'll be alright. Consider it payback for apparating in on us without warning," George chuckled and downed the last of his wine before laying down on their blanket. They were taking advantage of the last, warm summer evenings and enjoying a night-time picnic on the roof of the shop.
Y/N grinned. "I don't think he'll be doing that again," she said, laying down beside him and resting her head on his outstretched arm.
They lay together in silence for a long while, just watching the stars. "It's a beautiful evening," George mummered once the moon was high in the sky.
"It is," Y/N agreed. "But, I really miss being able to see the night sky in all its glory." The bright lights of muggle London blotted out all but the brightest stars.
"At least we can see our star," he said, pointing to Polaris.
"Indeed," Y/N kissed his cheek and scooted closer to him.
"I've been thinking," George began. "How would you feel about getting a place of our own?"
Y/N's eyes widened in surprise. She wasn't expecting that. At least not yet. "A place of our own?"
"Well, after all this crap with Voldy is over," he clarified. "But I was thinking maybe a little cottage in the country? Or perhaps a hobbit house?"
"A hob - you remember that?" Y/N asked, remembering the week she'd read The Hobbit to him while he had the flu. He'd never mentioned it again, so she thought he'd forgotten all about it. "You could barely remember your own name."
"I may have forgotten who I was," he rolled onto his side, smiling at her. "But I could never forget you. Every single second with you is carved into my memory."
Y/N blushed in spite of herself. "You better be careful, Romeo," she teased. "Flattery will get you everywhere."
~•~
George chuckled and shifted himself on top of her, his lips barely brushing hers. "Good," he said. "I'm counting on it." Then he closed the distance between them.

Is anyone else pissed that we had to wait 8 fricken books for Lance and Darcy to get their divine moment when Tory and Darius got theirs in book 4 when they still hated each other's guts?
And then as soon as they're happy fuckin shadow bitch shows up and just casually makes Darcy mortal, thereby erasing the mating bond on her end, and kidnaps Lance to torture for the next I-forget-how-long.
Like,,,
Just let them be happy :(
So when I decided I absolutely hated that my lil writing brain came up with a cannon divergent plotline where they have their moment at the beginning of book 5 after Tory finds out.
Like their final test from the stars was whether Lance was willing to be hers in front of people right?
So, what if after Tory finds out Lance decides to tell Darius about their relationship?
Obviously Darius gets mad (She's a fucking Vega, Lance, what the hell is wrong with you?) and Lance defends her, because let's be honest that man's fuckin whipped, and he eventually manages to talk Darius into begrudgingly accepting the relationship.
Then Lance finds the password to the diary through means that don't involve going to prison and accepts that maybe he's okay with being a royalist and accepting Darcy as his queen.
So the story continues like cannon until the night where they have their little date beneath the library.
So, the date plays out as in cannon until around 3 am where they have their divine moment in a field somewhere.
Then they go back to Zodiac and go to bed and the next morning when the FIB show up and put the power suppression cuffs on him, it drops the illusion he was holding to hide the silver ring until they could be registered officially as mates, and causes mass confusion.
So obviously the FIB officers are like, 'uhh wtf?? Why isn't it on your file that you have an elysian mate??' and Lance is just like, ' Well since it happened at literally 3 last night I didn't exactly have the time'
So then Darcy gets over to them and since they already know she's not doing the illusion anymore, so there's pretty much a giant uproar from everyone (oms one of the Vegas is elysian mates with a teacher?? Specifically a teacher who, until this point, was very much team heirs??)
Then Lance is still arrested, because technically he was breaking the law, but at the trial there's almost nothing they can do to charge him (yes he was breaking the law but very clearly because of the stars considering the fact that they are elysian mates)
So he is ruled innocent and returns to Zodiac to continue teaching and then they are made to navigate their relationship while at the school and figuring out how to work things.
(also there is a scene where Seth gets all mad at Darcy cuz his leverage is gone but that is neither here nor there)
Anyways, that is my idea for a book 5 fix-it fic that's been living in my head ever since Lance was arrested.
If I write this out would anyone read it?

The Forever War Verse
Now revamped and in one full post.
@sankta-alina-s - hopefully there's a lot of stuff here for you to pick where Alina grows up in. Perhaps within the Valg stuff??
@luxmaeastra - Look at all the stuff for Ella and Emmie
@starlsssankt - Fandomeless ;)
Inspired by: ACOTAR, FBAA, Book of Azrael, What Lies Beyond The Veil, The King of Battle & Blood, The Court of Blood & Bindings
@musings-of-an-antari - some of this is kinda outdated, but the general vibe of "constant war, conflicts breedings others conflicts" holds! Unir was the Emperor of the Daglan
Like most wars, this one starts because of a female.
Sotoria was a Princess of Autumn, by all accounts kind as she was beautiful. The life of her and her family was relatively peaceful, not without the occasional bit of violence - the fae were not known for being peaceful after all.
Her older brothers , Kaden and Isaiah frequently came to the Daglan Emperor's Eternal Palace as guests. Rare moments of peace between races who had once been bitter enemies.
She came to visit them one day with her father. Catching the eye of a young noble her age named Kolis.
They spoke, she didn't think much of it. Till he announced he dreamed of her at the ball the next night. He wasn't lying, she felt the snap of their bond that night as well.
But she didn't wish to be mated so quickly. Kolis said he understood, that he'd wait.
Her family went home to Autumn where they stayed. Things were peaceful for a few months before Kolis came to take her with him.
His patience had run out.
She protested and Kaden and Isaiah heard, launching themselves at the Daglan male to free their sister.
They'd beaten him within an inch of his life before they were pulled off of him.
They were all sent to Unir for punishment.
Kaden didn't think too much of it. He had other concerns at that age. Like the festival he was going to take his best friend Elianna to in a few weeks. He'd been dancing around his feels for her for years and had finally told her the previous day when they'd been in her home in Dawn.
They'd kissed, he'd never felt happier.
Then Unir had used them to make a point - throwing them into Ilyzath, the prison that everyone knew no one escaped from.
There he and Isaiah remained for the next 20 years.
------
Nismera watched her family slowly fall apart, her younger brothers locked away, her sister Sotoria taken to live in Eternal Court.
She only had her baby sister Zefera and her parents. But even she knew her parents days were numbered - they'd never survive this.
So let them pass in each other's arms, belladonna on their tongues. A merciful death, a peaceful way to save them from the war she was going to wage.
Why did anyon think the Daglan different? Unir hadn't done anything revolutionary beyond mate a Valg and weren't they tools to the Daglan just like the Fae were?
She bid her time, trained Zefera and kept an eye on Sotoria. Despite her rage she hoped Sotoria was happy, she hoped her sister got everything they whispered Mates were. And for a time it looked like she had.
Kolis doted on her, worshipped the ground she walked on. He probably would have crawled like a dog behind her if she asked him to.
And then they'd gone to the Elysian Cliffs for a picnic. And then, he'd come back without her - saying she slipped and fell from the cliffs.
Nismera's patience had snapped - she'd asked the help of others Zefera and her mate Beron, and an orange eyed male for a way into Ilyzath.
She freed her brothers, all the prisoners of that accursed place and prepared to war.
-----
Kaden should have been relaxing, should have not gotten back involved with Elianna. But he'd wanted to check in on her. And the rage he felt at her predicament was a good outlet for his growing bloodlust.
She'd married the Crown Prince of the Summer court Rhaegar. Kaden wouldn't have cared about that if he'd treated her like the queen she was.
Only Rhaegar didn't, he ostensibly kept her to have her kingdom in Dawn under his thumb. But then he also mated Lyanna and had Elianna raise the children he and Lyanna had.
Kaden told himself not to get involved, Elianna wasn't his, whatever they had was 20 years too late. Whoever he'd been before then had withered and died in Ilyzath. She hadn't asked him to intervene.
But other forces outside of his control circled. Achlys, Rhaegar's younger sister seized his throne and Rhaegar fled, taking Lyanna and their eldest Thysandra to Winter.
Kaden used the distraction for what it was - revenge. He and Isaiah chased the small family, tearing them apart. But their girl, their daughter was innocent. Besides Achlys wanted her alive. So in fae tradition he and Isaiah gave Thysandra the hearts of her parents.
Kaden took the girl to Summer, finding Elianna with the other two.
Fae didn't let the weak live, and the children behind her were weak. They weren't her blood, and Achlys wanted them dead.
Kaden was happy to kill them for her.
He told Elianna as much, that he couldn't be the male he had been. That whatever was here - whatever she hoped for would not happen.
Elianna countered that she didn't want that male, that one had not killed Kolis, as he should be. That one would not have destroyed Rhaegar as thoroughly as he had.
That one was dead, as the version of her was. But she'd thought of Kaden on her wedding night, she thought of him everytime Rhaegar touched her. All those nights when he couldn't have Lyanna and needed to be serviced.
She wanted one night with Kaden, one night where they could just be and give the dead versions of themselves one last chance to breathe and then die.
Kaden agreed.
Taking her finally home to Dawn the next morning.
------
The fae were a wild people, there were may old bloodlines stretching back to the days of the Old Gods of Phos, Nyx, Deia and Thana.
One of them was Sammael's, a scion of Thana's and who mated the Valg Priestess Lilith. She'd left her coven to be with him, to stay in the Alfeihm, the land of the Fae to be with him.
Their sons - Haldnunen, Aphaeleon
Gewynrnon, and Ittshare had been the first to unite the fae into courts.
Haldnunen had made Dusk, Aphaeleon Night, Gewynrnon Day & and Dawn, Ittshare - Winter.
Ittshare chose not to exact revenge for his youngest, Lyanna was young - foolish. Besides he didn't have time to process all of it as a power struggle erupted in his home.
He and his son Boreas was thrown out, Twyla his middle daughter took the reigns, helping her mother Tehome finally go home to the Seas Ittshare had kept her from.
Ittshare buried the grief and betrayal, Haldnunen was right - they had worse monsters to fight, the Daglan.
Gewynrnon told Kaden of his other daughters, of the plight his family had been plagued with. Elianna wasn't the first dragged into a unhappy union. His other daughter Deanna had too, by a Daglan much like Kolis. Mala, his eldest had taken it on herself to bring her home.
Kaden vowed to help however he could.
------
He ended up finding Mala only a few short weeks later, alive but deeply hurt. She'd gone directly to the Eternal Palace, and in a move that he found brave had seduced one of Unir's sons. Thurr was idealistic, a romantic, an optimist. He had watched Mala's cover be blown, her dragged before his father and set to die. Samkiel would have brought the blade down had Thurr not thrown himself at his brother saving her life and exiling the both of them.
Thurr was everything Samkiel hadn't been, devoted to Mala, to help her. Kaden had never thought he'd see the day a Daglan was halfway decent.
He left them to find Deanna, sending Isaiah with them.
He launched himself into the real war, growing his reputation and fear.
As the children from the other courts came of age, he had them trained in war camps. Aphaeleon's son Rhydand held promise and he payed special attention to the boy.
The war dragged on, decades of it.
Deanna had been found early on but war was war.
Rhysand's full potential didn't come to fruition against the Daglan but against his own.
Tamlin a prince of Spring and Rhysand's sister Aelirenn had been friends for years. Rhysand saw the writing on the wall long before those two did.
She was beautiful by all accounts, Tamlin was fond of giving her white roses before she would lead her battalions.
But as they grew in their prowess, in their power - rumors swirled. Both children came from powerful families. Spring was allied with Achlys and she despised Night. Night was one of the courts allied against her. They did not recognize her claim to Summer. For she did not marry one of their own, but installed her mate Korok, a Daglan on the throne.
No Fae would ever bow to such a male.
And as the war dragged on, Tamlin's and Aelirenn's eventual union would tip the scales in Night's favor, in Unseelie's favor. For it was the Unseelie that ruled all the Celestial courts, as it was the Seelie who ruled the Seasons, Achlys was queen of the Summer and the Seelie.
Airmed, an old friend of Kaden's was set to inherit the Unseelie and Dusk thrones. And then his mate Emeia died and he abdicated.
As the fae reeled from this internal blow Rhydand and his father learned of Aelirenn's death at the hands of Tamlin's family. Many whispered it was done on Achlys orders.
But neither cared, they went to Spring, killing everyone that came in their way. Anaxia, stopped them from taking Tamlin's life - he was her baby brother and she forced Aphaeleon to his knees, her blade at his neck.
He would live but the blow landed. Anaxia and Rhysand knew this war was not over.
------
Kaden noted all these small wars in passing, it was beneath him to care - to give a damn.
But it seemed even as the Daglan grew more tired the Fae splintered more and more.
Mab had been forced into a marriage with a noble Sephtis from Dusk. Her sister Achlys hadn't cared what her opinion was. She didn't want Sephtis to be with his mate Twyla, Twyla already held too much power being a granddaughter of Sammael and Lilith. She didn't need that female gaining anymore.
Rhysand who had had no interest in politics renewed it now. He told Kaden of what was happening, of the cracks forming.
But things were heating within the war. The Valg were beginning to cave - to switch sides as the Daglan wrung them dry of their magic of their covens powers.
As Samkiel broke the world apart, the war was paused but no over. The realms were locked away but they would one day open. Till then, everyone just needed to prepare.
Rhysand turned to Airmed's brothers, hoping one of them would understand the importance of what Achlys was trying to do - rule all of Alfeihm through her sister.
It was Fal, one of Airmed's younger brothers. He helped Mab free herself mating her and claiming the Unseelie and Dusk thrones. Twyla was free to have her mate and for a brief moment there was peace.
But Summer was still in Achlys clutches and her family could not escape it. Creon had always been Rhysand's friend first, but he knew there was something about Anaxia that drew him in. Still, he had to be focused, he needed to get rid of Achlys and Korok, they'd sold his brother Orion and Shahar to the Daglan as soldiers - as weapons. He needed to be in Summer - he needed to find a way to bring them home.
Even if that meant Rhysand and Anaxia would think him a traitor.
------
Rigelus and Bryce had been no ones in the Grand scheme of things. They'd grown up in the Academic citadels, picking up swords as their library burned to the ground under Theia one of the Fae Queens. They didn't know which court or kingdom she hailed from - and frankly it didn't matter. They were all the same, monsters.
Mindless, horrible monsters.
Rigelus was just a boy when the fae had burned his manor down and slaughtered his parents. He'd been sent to Parthos to be taught and raised as royal advisor one day.
Bryce's parents worked at Parthos and the two lonely children had found kinship among tomes of history and past wars.
It grew as most things did into something more.
Bryce was vaulted into high society when her older sister Cameron joined Samkiel's personal gaurd.
Soon both she and Rigelus was becoming friendly with Samkiel's younger brother Thurr.
A friendship that crashed and burned when Bryce figured out what Mala was and told Unir.
As the war dragged on, it was Bryce who came home to Parthos on fire, to her parents bodies torn apart. It was her who begged Thurr to help her save them - save the books.
Thurr left her there, telling her this was price for making his Mala bleed all those years ago. He didn't set the fire, but he didn't tell anyone inside not was going to happen.
Rigelus and Bryce smuggled what books they could. Remaking their home in White City close to Summer in Alfeihm. Many Daglan followed them, Korok offering the young Daglan couple protection and allies. As the war closed he even gifted them warriors - Orion and Shahar for their personal protection.
Rigelus and Bryce wanted to forget, to stop feeling the grief that chased them.
Rigelus had lost most of his siblings expect three Eosphorous, Austrus and Hesperus. The three were overbearing but the parties Bryce and he threw him into helped. The way they threw themselves as each other, into drinking, into numbing that pain helped.
------
As the war ended Isaiah watched Samkiel's Hand step back, closing ranks to protect him.
He wondered of Imogen, of the moments they'd shared so many years ago before war, before imprisonment and death had broken it. He wondered if she thought of him as he did of her. If she worried for his safety like he did for her.
He didn't have much time to contemplate this anyway - with the Realms locked down after what Samkiel did, the real work could begin.
He worked with Vincent and the other Valg to hunt down and burn the corrupt Matrons of the Valg Covens. The Valg had been under Daglan's thumbs in no small part because their Matrons coveted and hoared the crumbs of power Daglan gave them.
------
Vincent watched the burnings, thousands of witches who had refused to bend to the new order dying for their beliefs. But it wasn't just those guilty in the crossfire, innocents were too.
Camilla lost her sisters to it - Rhiannon and Hestia were targeted for their power and in the frenzy burned alive.
Her childhood best friend Yesenia had nearly died with them.
Vincent watched Camilla slip from his fingers, not that she probably knew who he was. It didn't matter, Samkiel had abandoned them and he would make himself a kingdom if he had to carve it from the dead.
He didn't want Camilla to see that - no matter how ruthless she appeared to be.
He didn't like how out of control being around her made him.
He and Adrien, and Yesenia remade the Valg Covens. Even if he was a Prince he would not become a Patron without a Matron at his side - and there was only one he wanted for that role.
But she'd joined Kaden's armies, had worked with him now to keep what remained of her shattered family together.
With Adrien's second's help Gavriel and his mate Sandriel they even wrestled control of the wild fae in their lands.
------
Sebastian, the son of Thurr and Mala had grown in the shadow of this war with his sisters Sarai and Silba. It was Kaden and Isaiah who honed their magic.
He grew with Natalia and Noelle, daughters of his father's bodyguards Fion and Sive. Camilla trained the girls, ruthless and deadly.
Sebastian didn't understand what was coming till the realms opened again. And the Mating Marks appeared on their eldest children.
The Wild Hunt took them, Xaden from Natalia and him, Emelin and Estrella from Sarai and Marizleh, they were dragged to Alfeihm.
Into a war that was centuries in the making. A war none of them had any allies or understanding of.
Kaden told them to follow, Nismeda and Samkiel's war would reignite and then the realms would be impossible to traverse.
He advised them to keep their heads down and survive before making enemies.
Marizleh being a Primal like Kaden had some inisights but he like Sarai and the others had been far from Alfeihm and the court politics.
The Hand was being Called, Kaden's former protoge was free of him turning against all of them.
Would Ayla kill everyone who coluded or was complicit in her sister's death? Would she rise against the last of her blood remaining in Camilla?
Kaden may be indifferent to war but these kids were ones he'd raised, they were ones who had made him a actually free of Ilyzath even a millennia on. Ayla was a means to an end - but war did not make kind people.
And he wanted what shred of his family remained to survive.
Sarai, Natalia and the others were fine soldiers, exceedingly prepared to survive whatever Ayla threw at them. They'd survive just as well in the crossfire of Nismera and Samkiel's brutality.
But did it make him weak and selfish if he wanted them to be safe for just a little bit longer? Did it make it a monster to sheild them from the carnage he'd orchestred?

If she pulls a second mate situation it’s only going to cheapen the importance of mate’s for long term readers who are used to the one mate trope in her series. But after what she wrote for ACOSF I think she’ll write just about anything at this point, the bar dropped immensely when it comes to her writing decisions with that one
I think it could be done well--especially if she differentiates the bonds, like she did in TOG.
We have a very limited view/knowledge of how they work in the ACOTAR universe, only via what Rhysand shared. But if she expands on the concept, I think it could actually be more interesting.
For example:
Bonds from the Mother could be the most desirable and the rarest ones--they are the bonds of love and power and everything else. So Feysand's super bond is that kind of bond.
Bonds from the Cauldron are baby-making bonds. The ones that Rhys described--they bring people together to create the strongest offspring. His parents is a good example.
Bonds from the Swirling Eddies could be bonds of power--complimentary powers, whether romantic or just friendship. Could explain Nessian, for example. Could also give more gravitas to the Valkyries, or Cassian and Az--again, as examples.
Some people could have all three. Others, only one.
Maybe Mor and Eris had the Cauldron bond, and Eris did not want to bring more children into his family, especially very powerful children, so they wouldn't be influenced by Beron---something like that opens up a variety of interesting possibilities for characters.
I think you can think outside the box and since mate bonds as we know them have been done TO DEATH now, i think it would behoove SJM to put an interesting spin on it.
In Zodiac Academy for example, you have different types of bonds--romantic (Elysian Mates), Nebula Allies (friendship). Astral Adversaries (when you just hate each other), you can power share with friends, you can power share with others who have the same type of power, you can have 2 mates in the same relationships, etc.
The concept of mates isnt even all that interesting to begin with, especially the way SJM has it--when the bond snaps and you dont even know the person and have no relationship with them, it's just a biological pull...That kind of bond should be differentiated from something that Feyre and Rhys have.
It would be fascinating if Lucien and Elain have a power bond, and then Elain and Azriel have a romantic bond. I don't see how it cheapens or confuses things--I think it makes them infinitely more interesting.

title: sovereign of no one, leader of nothing when: post the tinkerer where: rome trigger warnings: suicidal thoughts, allusions to violence, sad shit
On the ninth day of the siege, Yurena Aguirre dies.
She dies at her brother’s hand, dies because she is loved.
Yurena Aguirre died because she wasn’t loved enough.
There is no one left to love her enough. Not with her coven’s souls scattered amidst the stars, her oldest companion doomed to the depths of Hell. There is no parental warmth to seek out, none of Kaito’s warmth at her back, none of Erik’s steady presence over her shoulder, no steadfast support from her coven mates. Her only friends have other loyalties to pay heed to, most of the relationships she had before Alstroemeria’s fall have burned to ashes due to her own doing.
And Seth— Tepiltzin— Whatever he is called, he who she had hoped would be different? All he does is watch, and there is no hint of regret that she can find on her face.
Yurena Aguirre died alone, desperately wishing for someone who cared.
At that moment, on top of the tower in New Dis, no one did.
Yurena Aguirre dies a martyr, unloved in the ways that matter.
Yurena remembers.
Moments like this leave a mark that cannot be erased.
Yurena does not die, calling forth the daimona days before she planned, memories of a life unfulfilled at her fingertips. Dying in agony, dying underneath her brother’s gaze. She remembers it all.
She won’t forget.
Can’t.
Despite the memories of pain, despite the phantom touch of death gripping at her throat, she raises her Elysian Horn to her lips and blows.
The future changes before her eyes, Octavian’s madness thwarted, the book destroyed. And her brother Augustus? And the last of Erik’s legacy? He is saved by a hand not her own, the magic stealing his soul stolen from him in return. It’s his salvation, even if he does not see it.
It’s a relief.
It’s an ending.
A pyrrhic victory for the last of Alstroemeria, the satisfaction of fulfilling Erik’s last wish, the bitterness that makes her unable to meet Augustus’ eyes as he is taken away. In the future that never was, Yurena Aguirre had learned that her brother had died and could not be saved and that had been the final push she had needed to risk it all. In the future that is, Yurena learns that all the love in the world would not have saved Augustus, least of all hers. She learns that her devotion is unmatched, her loyalty yet another string for him to tug as a bleeding heart.
Love, the greatest weapon of them all.
Love, the greatest betrayal.
Deep within, Yurena Aguirre had known this as an universal truth: the bond of siblings was more important than any other, parents left too soon and lovers came too late, siblings were there throughout.
Unfortunately for her, Yurena Aguirre died at her brother’s hand and the person left behind cannot face Augustus' eyes without seeing the cold calculating gaze of a being that would break her apart and feed her to the book for just a little more power.
She meets Eren’s eyes instead, looking at the man that had cut through the Asphodel forces for Augustus, for the lover that now had a chance when he didn’t before. She meets Alexander, Achilles and the countless versions of the man that loves Augustus and nods at him, washing her hands from the necromancer who had become human.
She had given one life for Augustus, and him none for her. She had given him her life once, and once was enough.
Yurena allows herself to be taken by the Allied forces after that, an specter of the once great coven reduced to a martyr that had returned from death once more against all odds. Blood magic stains her hands, necromantic rot buried on her bones even as the book lies destroyed, and she expects nothing less than eternal damnation as she is presented before the Senate.
She does not expect forgiveness.
Does not deserve it, does not want it.
Don’t they see that she has nothing? That she is nothing? She is a hollowed vessel, Pandora’s pithos without its hope.
She is nothing and no one, a ghost unloved and unmourned.
Unfortunately for her, she is also the last Alstroemeria and despite her desire to reach out for the oblivion that Augustus had so kindly delivered her to, she cannot rest. Her crimes pardoned for the betrayal that once killed her, that no she wishes it had, she is given back her home, broken and shattered as it is by the months it spent under Asphodel’s and Cavaliere’s control.
She has a home, but not a coven.
She has the ghosts that never were and can never be pressing down and suffocating her.
She has a duty.
And she has never been anything but the dutiful daughter.
She is Yurena Alstroemeria, and she has a coven to rebuild. Coven of one, house haunted by what was lost and by the blood spilled within it’s halls, she awaits on the halls of those who have long gone, walking along with her ghosts as she rebuilds the Reliquary step by step, as she builds barriers and wards and cleans the rot that has been buried into the very stone.
She is far too busy to be alone, and yet she is nonetheless.
And so, dying will have to wait for another day.
For weeks, she heals from the aftermath, builds the walls around her heart until it is protected against those she knows will attempt to use her once more. The Coven members she has betrayed, the blood witches that will not take her contribution to the Senate’s cause laying down. She prepares for a Cold War that will follow her into her grave, for immortality is not a stranger to those who now despise her and immortality has long slipped from her grasp.
Yurena Alstroemeria prepares to be even a shadow of the Sovereign she could have become, in another life.
She does not prepare for the Senate’s mercy, nor their mockery of a reward for her undying loyalty to her coven, to Erik.
Augustus Cavaliere is released to her care, to live in Alstroemeria’s House forever more, haunting the halls with the very same nightmares that plague her night.
Her only family brother everything murderer is allowed to live in her home, in hopes of rehabilitation. He is given Alstroemeria’s House as an open air prison because it is his home. Nevermind that it had not been his home since he had been banished for the very same action that had set him down on the path that almost destroyed them all. Nevermind that he had once turned her home into the antithesis of everything Erik had ever believed in, twisting it into a mockery of Alstroemeria’s legacy by inviting Asphodel into its halls. Nevermind that one of his last victims had attempted to make it her refuge.
It is what Erik would have wanted.
And Yurena, Aguirre or Alstroemeria, is too loyal to her mentor to deny his wishes, even when they are whispered beyond the grave. Even when they are implied on the heavy tongues of those who had known him in a different capacity than her.
In the end, she knows it to be true.
Erik had always wanted for his son to return home, and Yurena had lost a brother in the war, but the former Sovereign is long dead and cannot say he has lost his son.
Despite her desire to stop martyring herself for her people, Yurena accepts the decision, martyrs herself once more why is it always once more when will it be enough she wants to live she wants to be free someone anyone please choose her someone please love her someone someone is anyone listening? for the man that would never do the same on her stead, and keeps her mouth shut as the proceedings take place.
For one last time, within the halls of their ancestral home, Yurena awaits her brother’s return. She doubts the man that will walk through the door will resemble the brother she lost. Doubts he will even notice her presence amidst the grief of losing his magic and his self-proclaimed destiny.
Nevertheless she waits.
She welcomes him into their ancestral home, into their magic halls, into the memory wrought courtyards. Offers him the Guest’s Privileges, offers him physical comforts and the luxuries the coven can afford.
Then, and only then, she goes out of her way to ensure they are not in the same room again. Not while it is only the two of them that haunt these halls.
She makes sure not to make it too noticeable, lest the Senate decide to relocate him, but that is far from a challenge. A Sovereign for a coven of one she might be, but that does not mean her duties fall as short as her numbers. Yurena makes herself busy, striking friendships, rebuilding bridges, cleaning her bookstore from the most wretched grimoires on her collection and delivering them upon Amaranthus for their study, volunteering into the charitable branches of the Eye that open around Rome. It does not matter that the Eye has destroyed her once, it does not matter that they are the reason why Erik was not able to destroy the Necronomicon before it fell into Augustus' grasp.
She had been forgiven for the unforgivable, it is only fair that she would forgive them for the same.
The Returned Martyr keeps herself busy, setting down the foundations for a life that once was hers but she had burned away.
All the while, she feels eyes on the back.
Judging eyes, resentful eyes, hateful eyes.
She accepts them all, for she knows the feelings are justified.
Yurena learns not to pay attention to the eyes that follow her everywhere, and in doing so, fails to notice the eyes of a liche looking for his little bird witch, not realizing that the witch is dead.
In her place, it’s a specter rebuilding herself into a woman.
In her place, stands a Sovereign.
Yurena Aguirre dies on the ninth day of the siege on a future that never came to pass.
Yurena Alstroemeria lives in her place.

Book Series Specific Award Show Time!!
The categories are:
Most character development.
Least character development.
Best couple.
Best friendship.
Best chapter.
Best female character.
Best male character.
Best book of the series.
Most heartbreaking moment.
Most underrated character.
Most overrated character.
Plus an honourable mention.
The series of note in this case is the Zodiac Academy (plus additions from the connected series’) as it has quickly become my favourite series. For now that is.
SO! The results!
The award for Most Developed Character goes to:
🐺Seth Capella (ZA) because holy shit i hated this dude two books ago. I would basically skim his chapters when they appeared and now I'm smiling at the page when he comes on.
🐍Ryder Draconis (RB), like damn this man went from getting murderous, or horny it depends on if Elise was there or not, every time he saw the main group to being Nebular Allies with his worst enemy and walking around with DISNEY TATTOOS.
The award for Least Developed Character goes to:
🐲Darius Acrux (ZA), I really don't like this dude sometimes because his lack of change brings me such uncontrollable anger all the time and I WILL DIE ON THIS HILL- he. does. not. deserve. Tory. Like, they are perfectly matched but that means squat when he treats her like a clueless little girl all the time.
The award for Best Couple goes to:
💙🦇BlueLance (ZA) because THESE TWO have the best and purest relationship and they are so cute but also so fucking hot and sooo fierce when fighting for one another. Nobody can even attempt to come close to them.
The award for Best Friendship goes to:
🐍🦅Ryder and Gabriel (RB) because the friendship between these two was utterly heart breaking during how it began to fully form after the first Elysian Mate bond but the devotion to eachother that they end up with is UNMATCHED in the Ruthless Boys series.
💙❤️‍🔥Darcy and Tory (ZA), these two have such a strong relationship, I mean their bond transcends the effects of the shadows from the very first moment that they use them. They were my rock, my fall-to relationship throughout this whole series and it hurt when they were separated and at odds the most.
The award for Best Chapter goes to:
🦁💜🐍Chapter 21 - Warrior Fae (RB) was SO FUNNY. Leon was a genius and that's all I'm going to say. 🦇🦅Chapter 19 - Warrior Fae (RB) was so fucking bizarre but so absolutely hilarious that it makes sense that why 'Orio' and 'Noxy' are bonded by the stars because what other friend would not double over in laughter when that happens.
💙❤️‍🔥Fire trial chapter in Darcy's POV (can't find what chapter it was) in The Reckoning (ZA) because they were so damn badass when they literally WALKED. THROUGH. FIRE. Like, goddamn. I would gladly join the A.S.S. and bow to Tory and Darcy.
💙🦇Chapter sex ed - The Reckoning (ZA) when many readers where reading the chapter through the gaps in their fingers and tears of disbelief and laughter. It was so bloody funny!
The award for Best female Character goes to:
💜Elise Callisto (RB), while yes there was limited amounts of female characters that were actually good in the Ruthless Boys series, Elise was still a complete badass and she deserves more recognition then I'm giving her in this.
💙DARCY VEGA (ZA) because this girl is amazing in every way. Imma just sum up her brilliance in this quote in which she cut Seth down to size; "Iron is made stronger in the hottest part of the fire, Seth. You didn't break me, you forged me.” I am in love with her.
The award for Best male Character goes to:
🐍Ryder Draconis (RB) because he was tied favourite with Gabe but since we barely see Ryder in the other books there is more excitement at the prospect him popping up in them.
🦇Lance Orion (ZA) THIS MAN OWNS MY SOUL. I would be his doormat if he asked me to. If he told me to. Even if he looked at it, I would materialise into it and feel honoured when he stood on me.
The award for Best Book of the Series:
3️⃣The Reckoning - (ZA), this is my comfort book. It is before all the awful shit stars to happen at the scarily fast rate that it does for the rest of the series. Plus, BlueLance forms.
5️⃣Warrior Fae - (RB) because this is where everyone gets all mushy squash and the ✨group activities✨ were great. And when they actually got on there was some absolutely amazing scenes between them all and it warmed my wounded heart.
The award for Most Heart breaking Moment goes to:
🚨🦁THE CAVE WITH EVIL, SIREN, THERAPIST BITCH AND LEON. (RB) That scene made me bawl my eyes out at like five in the morning and it was NOT pleasant. Not fun.
🐉💙❤️‍🔥Y'know what? Nobody talks about it and it annoys me. When Catalina is given a star divorce by Darcy and Tory, that shit was heart breaking because of how unhappy she was for YEARS until that moment. It was a happy moment only because she had escaped.
The award for Most Underrated Character goes to:
🐉Catalina Acrux (ZA) because this woman was so strong and despite that she treated the twins, Orion, the Heirs and both of her boys with so much of the motherly love that most of them were missing growing up. She deserved every little speck of happiness that she could carve out of the world.
🍰Middle Kipling (RB) HEAR ME OUT! He provided so many weird ass moment that had me in tears of laughter every time. For example, the wedding?? That was peak comedy.
The award for Most Overrated Character goes to:
🦟Melinda Altair (RB specifically) I did not like her one bit in the Ruthless Boys series, I mean she outed them and almost got Ryder killed, brutally, many times. Idc that she is Elise's or Caleb's family, she was a bitch in those books.
🧛🐟Caleb Altair and Max Rigel (ZA) the only times that these two are not completely unbearable are when they are with their ships. If it wasn't for Seth and Geraldine they would be such extremely pointless wet blankets. Granted, they have some leeway with this because they are useful in the seventh book but other than then they are just kind of... there.
Now, finally the honourable mention goes to...
🐀Eugene Dipper! I loved this little guy when he appeared in both series'. He was funny and he became a much stronger Fae by the ZA books and I think he deserves a mention because he managed to escape Lionel's grip.

As they worked in tandem, Kalei wondered about Ezra's past, his skill set, how he ended up in this life. To survive being stranded here, for as long as he has been, is impressive.
He's clearly tough, resilient, and some level of dangerous. He must have done some rough, violent things to not only make it this long but to have survived this life.
Some prospectors live to be old, it depends on the work. But jobs like this? Most die between their mid 30s and 40s. It’s rough work and not for the weak of heart. And it’s not just the difficulty of the dig and tender handling needed for aurelac; It’s the outside threats.
Groups like the mercs and some others are known for their cruelty and kill or be killed ways, but they aren't the only ones; most drifters are too. Even if a person has a good heart and isn’t violent at their core, they have to be to survive. The difference is, some only use that darkness when needed, and others step into it fully, deciding to live that way at all times. It's all too easy to lose one's humanity in the Fringe.
In jobs that either come with high value digs or limited resources, the likelihood of being killed or jacked by others skyrockets. She can only imagine the percentage of thefts, murder, and the worst this place alone has seen.
Kalei could tell, not just from his worse for wear appearance but by the look in his eyes, even when he smiled, that Ezra was a man who has seen and experienced a lot. What kind of man is he now, as he walks beside her in silence, she doesn’t know.
.
Kalei wasn't the only one stealing glances and weaving thoughts and ideas in her head. Ezra did the same. She was a curious thing, and the prettiest sight he’s seen in a long time, the softest too. When she took her helmet off at the pod, everything in him wanted to claim her, to have right then and there and all he saw was her face and hands. And those lips - oh those lips, they look soft as petals, pillowy and plump.
Even on the fine line of being shot again, or striking a deal, all he could think about was how spectacular it must feel to have her; to explore the valleys of her body and sink his cock so deep inside of her he loses himself; to see what was pretty faces she makes in the throes of passion and the rapture of copulation. The thought alone filled his mind with an array of images and nastiest sex he can dream up.
He was nearly drooling off the visuals alone and his body continued to ache for her. Ezra's hunger for Kalei quickly surpasses the one for food. The depth of his longlining reminded him of this old book he read once, about werewolves; he felt like a shifter in a rut, Kalei's arrival setting him spinning wildly into mating season.
