Rules:

As always, please don’t abuse anonymous when requesting. 2 request maximum per person!

Include the following - song title, artist, character/group, and relationship (platonic, romantic, familial)

Let it be known that sometimes the songs don’t inspire :( if they don’t, I will post your request or reply back privately to let you know!! If your request does get denied, I promise you’ll be allowed a new request!!!

BIG ONE - if the song you pick is apart of the media/fandom, the request will be automatically denied. It just doesn’t spark inspiration since I already have a specific idea of that song with a certain scene.

It's a little silly, but I just wanted to say- don't beat yourself up for having a reaction to needles after a bad experience. On a moral level, yes, but also a practical one.

It's normal for a body to react to a bad experience with fear. That's what fear evolved to do, warn you about something that could go wrong next time.

However, fear can be reinforced. If your body responds to a stimulus with fear, and then you feel a negative emotion around that memory, your nervous system goes "Wow! That was so bad that even thinking about it stresses me out. I'd better make sure to never let this happen again. Time to dial up the fear signal!"

Being kind to yourself about something frustrating or painful is hard in good conditions, and I don't want to minimize that. This isn't "don't let it bother you" or "just get over it" or "think positive" advice.

When a fear of needles happens to me again (the fear comes and goes), I try to treat it like I would a food aversion resulting from food poisoning. You know when you eat something bad, get sick and then the thought of the food is really gross for awhile? Like that!

I try to let myself be mildly annoyed, but not so much it gets my blood pressure up. Sadness doesn't seem to extend the length of the fear either. But anger, guilt, or shame for me really seem to reinforce the fear reactions.

Your mileage will vary, of course! For me, I went from no fear of needles, to fainting when an IV was put in, back to no fear with patience and time. Maybe this can be a bit of hope for you too! I wish you luck and a smooth road!

I love the relationship (or rather, the lack thereof) between the Hilda fandom and Luke Pearson. I don’t know if this is just me, but I feel like we’re just marginally aware that he’s A Guy and that he makes the thing we like and that’s as far as we care to go. You see fandoms researching their favorite creators and following them in every social media and looking for each of their projects and we just. We just want the stills and trailers. Some people care about what he has to say about the plot and animation. And that’s it. He’s just a dude whose name is in the opening and whose self insert shows up sometimes to Be Useless and we’re fine with that! The opposite of a parasocial relationship. I've been getting a lot of those scam asks from people pretending to be Palestinian asking for money. And every time, I do a little poking hoping that maybe, for once, it's a genuine person and not some scum of the earth asshole.

It never is. It's always the scum of the earth asshole who thinks they can profit off genocide. Every single dollar they fool someone into donating is another dollar that same person won't donate to Gaza. We all have limits on how much we can spend, so it's very harmful for a cause that needs so much money to keep having said potential revenue drained away by these absolute fucks.

Not to mention the sheer inhumanity it takes to see a genocide ongoing and think, "Hey, I could profit off that!", and then go forward with it

Anyway, all this to say, make sure you look into every ask you get requesting your donations. Some usual signs they're fakes are these;

There's no posts on the account, or, if there are any, they're ALL reblogs of other people's content. I see a lot of these blogs reblog a ton of pro-Palestinian content, which is disgusting. But if you scroll all the way down, there's typically nothing before that, because these aren't real tumblr users.

Reverse-search the images they provide of themselves/their situation. Usually, these are taken right off the Gofundme of a real Palestinian person.

Type their blog name into the search bar on tumblr. If someone else has made a post exposing this person as a scam, this will bring them up.
