landscape design for concept art class. I had quite a few ideas I wanted to draw but the one image that suck out to me the most in my mind was a desert canyon city made of mosaics and stain glass. a city made entirely of glass, seeing as glass is made primarily out of sand and deserts have an abundance of sand seemed plausible in the fantasy sense. though of all my ideas it was probably the most difficult one. figuring out how the light of a meeting sun shines through and on a city made of glass was challenging. Weather or not I was successful in this I certainly learned a lot.

White Wizard Tower

Apparently I am stuck pretty deeply in Lord of the Rings because while the title fits I can only read is as the tower of the white wizard and not just a white tower that belongs to a wizard. I don't think it's a serious problem though. I wanted to give the impression of a tower shrouded in mystery without going too much into the architectural details. It took me maybe two hours to finish it after wrestling my paints for a slightest tint for the background instead of going full pink. Acrylic sketch on paper, 30×20cm.

Hobbit Tests

These are just some lighting test renders I did back when I was setting up the lighting of the first part of the Hobbit / Fantasy Home product.

I basically just moved the posed character around and hit render and never did anything with the renders... but they still turned out okay. The armor she's wearing was s different project and yes, it does offer top tier shoulder protection while allowing for maximum mobility, what more could anyone ask for ?! As usual, everything modeled in modo, painted in Substance painter and rendered in Daz with Iray.

Chronicles of Weightlessness: The Gravity-Defying Chamber

In the heart of EW Mountford's Central Criminal Court, a place steeped in the weight of judgment and consequence, an anomaly unfurled. It began as a whisper among the corridors, a rumour of defiance against the laws of nature itself.

The exponent, a mysterious figure whose identity remained shrouded in secrecy, had achieved the impossible. Within the classical architecture of the court, where every stone seemed to bear the weight of justice, there existed a space untouched by gravity's grip.

Visitors to this ethereal realm spoke of the surreal sensation of weightlessness, as if the very ground beneath their feet had relinquished its hold. Fluids, once obedient to the pull of Earth, now defied expectation, forming perfect spheres that danced through the air, reflecting the environment in a shimmering ballet.

Whispers of disbelief mingled with awe as tales of this gravity-defying chamber spread. Some likened it to the ancient mercury fountains of the Middle East, where the shimmering liquid seemed to defy gravity's pull, teasing at the possibility of a world beyond the confines of natural law.

Yet, unlike those fabled fountains, this was no mere illusion or trickery. It was a testament to human ingenuity, a defiance against the very fabric of reality itself.

Speculation ran rampant. How had the exponent achieved such a feat? Was it through the manipulation of unknown forces, a mastery of technologies beyond comprehension, or perhaps the unlocking of secrets hidden within the very fabric of space-time?

The Institute for Gravity Research of the Göde Scientific Foundation, renowned for its tireless pursuit of understanding the mysteries of gravity, turned its attention to this enigma. Yet, despite their efforts, they found themselves stymied at every turn. The laws of physics seemed to bend and twist within the confines of the court, defying all attempts at explanation or replication.

And so, the mystery endured, a tantalizing glimpse into a world where the impossible became reality. Within the solemn halls of justice, where the weight of law and order reigned supreme, there existed a pocket of defiance, a place where the rules of nature bowed before the will of human ambition.
