Really recommend this podcast interview with Claire Williams where she talks about Williams, the business of F1 and also the challenges women face to be seen and respected in the paddock and on the grid.
Two bits that stood out to me...
Rokit reneging on their sponsorship payments nearly finished the team at the end of 2019. Someone (Michael Latifi) offered to plug the gap to get them on the grid for 2020, then covid hit and they had to sell at the middle of the year. She thinks if they'd had been able to hold on one more year, the sponsorship interest from DTS would have meant they could have kept the team...
She asked her marketing team to draw up a list of Female owned brands to target for sponsorship when she took over as TP because she saw it as an untapped market that other teams were overlooking - every single brand they asked turned them down.

I'm struggling to find a job and i feel like nothing i do is helping or doing anything. I perfect my resume to the best of my ability and do everything right only to get nothing but months and months of rejection letters. How do i actually find a company that actually wants to hire people? Or alternatively, how do i build an audience as a content creator as an artist and youtuber who cant seem to build an actual community who actually wants to commission or watch my stuff?
Not gonna lie, honey... it's hard out there right now. I'm gonna answer your second question by just gesturing around myself. BGR is far from the most popular or successful content creation machine, but we do ok. And it's a LOT of work. So my advice there is to learn through observation of what works for others, then be true to your own ideas about what you'll ACTUALLY do for yourself.
As to getting a traditional job, we've written a few pieces of advice on how to work outside the box of a job search. Hope it'll help:

George sided with John against Paul in the whole mess with Klein. It should count as a crime that Paul was left alone after everything he did for them.
No. Even if in hindsight Klein caused a lot of trouble, the others had every reason to reject being managed by Paul's new family, George in particular.
In one interview after Anthology, Paul mentioned how he was glad that he was finally able to tell his side about the split and lawsuit to George and Ringo, which led me to believe that, at the peak crisis, he kind of put George and Ringo aside to focus on John. Meanwhile John took the time to convince them and explain why he thought that Klein would be a good match for the group.
Finally, George didn't sign with Klein just because John told him to or wanted to put Paul down. I think Friar Park is what finally convinced him to keep Klein.

Me procrastinating on my thesis resulted in a few questions of the finances of Loumand divorce. How would they divide the money, properties, and investments they own together? We know Louis was the businessman and Armand was his househusband. Are most of their shared assets in Louis' name? Do they have a vampire divorce lawyers of some sort? What pseudo names they use on their legal documents? Did Armand take up Louis' surname in one of his many passports? Do the salesman still call Armand Mr. Du Lac when he's shopping for another pair of Jimmy Choo using his ex-husband's credit card? How does Louis manage their funds? Is Louis richer than Lestat now? Did Magnus set up a trustfund for Lestat before he die and how much money does Lestat can benefit from it?

I'm calling it now, Donald Trump had a stroke. Hear me out.
So, first of all, Trump did an interview with Elon Musk yesterday on Twitter (or "X", I suppose) where he sounded off. I hadn't heard it until today so I was prepared for it not to be as bad as the chatter, but it was definitely bad. Whenever he got excited it seemed like his mouth filled up with saliva to the point where he sounded like Sylvester the Cat; I half expected to hear him say "thuffering thucotash!" after listening to him for only 30 seconds.
Of course his campaign is trying to blame it on the sound equipment and, while he does sound a trifle muffled, I know a few people who deal with sound equipment (benefits of marrying a music teacher) and none of them think this is something that the equipment could have caused.
So why do I think it's a stroke? Let me explain with a story.
You see, in 2016, I had a discussion with a friend where I argued that we should assume Trump is in debt for more than the value of his assets. You see, at that point he was refusing to release tax returns and financial records to prove that he was actually as rich as he said he was. My point was that, by assuming good things about his finances, he would have no incentive to actually release the documents because anything in them was probably much worse than what we were assuming. By assuming the worst, we provide incentive for him to release them, if only just to prove us wrong.
Now it's eight years later and… boy do we know a lot of bad things about his finances. We know that almost none of his buildings run at a profit and that the only one that does is the one that he doesn't manage (the Vornado partnership). We know that his charity was shut down for being a slush fund that did no actual charitable work, we know that he fraudulently inflates and deflates the values of his properties depending on whether he's talking to a lender or a tax collector, and we know that he falsified his business records to hide illegal payments to aid his political career.
In other words, if we'd assumed the worst in 2016, we'd have been much closer to being correct than if we'd even made a neutral assumption!
So that's why I think Trump had a stroke. It would explain why he suddenly developed a speech impediment (unlike Biden's stutter, this wasn't there four years ago) and why he's been holed up in Mar a Lago for the last month.
If he didn't have a stroke, then let's hear the real explanation for these things. I'm betting I'm much closer to being correct than the people who would brush it off as nothing.

I don’t believe the amount of time someone’s been practicing is the sole or even primary indicator of knowledge, experience or power.
one person can research more and learn more and have the time, space, resources and dedication to practice more in a handful of years than some people get in a decade.
ā€œI’ve been practicing witchcraft for x amount of yearsā€ could mean you stayed in one tradition’s bubble for a decade practicing by rote and just recently took up another tradition. it doesn’t mean you know more about witchcraft as a whole than someone whose been practicing for half the time.
the number of initiations you’ve had, illustrious covens you’ve had official membership of, or notable figures you’ve trained under, while certainly valuable, doesn’t directly translate to power or experience either. access to an irl occult community and close proximity to notable figures in the craft (or the time, money and flexibility to uproot your life to move near them) is another resource and a privilege to have access to.
I can guarantee you, there’s probably a little old lady out there in the world somewhere whose never even heard of a coven with more power in her little finger than the Great Magi of the world have in their whole body.

Jon Stewart on Never Ending Elections with Doris Kearns Goodwin and Eugene Daniels
ā€œThe idea that this vetting process is somehow getting us closer to more competent and better leadership is nonsense and insane. And we have created an electoral campaign system that does the opposite.ā€ On this week’s episode Jon Stewart is joined by Doris Kearns Goodwin and Eugene Daniels.

Biden Is Out, Harris Is In with Jon Stewart, Doris Kearns Goodwin & Eugene Daniels
In the turbulent month since President Biden’s disastrous debate performance, the media has been speculating as to whether it was probable, or even possible, for him to drop out of the race. Turns out, it was both. In light of Biden’s historic decision, how effectively did the media guide the public through the election chaos? This week, helping us to contextualize the moment and understand the challenges in covering it, Jon Stewart is joined by Doris Kearns Goodwin, presidential historian and author of whose most recent book is An Unfinished Love Story: A Personal History of the 1960s, as well as Eugene Daniels, POLITICO White House correspondent and Playbook co-author. Together, they examine the flaws in our electoral process and media coverage, offer some possible fixes, and provide facts —not speculation — about what to expect in the weeks ahead.
