Ace Trappola and Malleus Summon Food Souls
Twisted wonderland X Food Fantasy
@sydney-trappola: I want ace or malleus to summon one. (Ace is jealous of deuce having one, and malleus because he is lonely)
Ace Trappola + Sandwich
Tumblr media
It had been a few weeks after Deuce accidentally summoned Eggette. The two seemed to get along well and even started acting like actual siblings.
"Aww Deuce and Eggette are getting along so well," Y/n smiled as Ace sat quietly next to them.
Y/n, Cater, and Ace sat in the shade of the tree while Grimm, Deuce, and Eggette stood in the field training their Magic.
"Deuce's magic skills have really been improving too since he got Eggette," Cater commented.
"Tch, I don't see that much improvement," Ace scoffed.
"Well maybe Eggette is probably a big help, but Deuce probably needs some strong magic to summon a power familiar like his," Cater said.
"What, I could totally pull it off too. Y/n hand me those crystals Deuce used," Ace said suddenly.
"Umm, why?" Y/n asked as they began to draw out the summoning circle on a piece of paper.
"To show that I can pull it off too, and it would be cool to have a familiar," Ace said simply.
"Oh boy, okay. First off don't see them as Familiars, but a partner of sorts. A fellow human who is there to help," Y/n explained.
"You gave the same speech to Deuce," Ace said.
"Then you better take those words to heart, cause not every food soul will be like Eggette," Y/n said. " Some may even be very dangerous."
Y/n handed Ace the crystal Amber and pulled Cater back a bit as Ace put the crystal down. Focusing a bit of magic, the summoned commended.
"Why did you let him do this again?" Cater asked.
"Cause I know Ace wasn't going to stop asking till I did," Y/n said as a figure appeared before Ace.
"Master Attendant, would you like to play a game of luck and skill? I am always ready," Said the food Soul Sandwich.
Ace and Sandwich's relationship is a strange one. The two were both lazy when it came to important things.
They would be seen often be playing card games or showing each other card tricks. Even playing pranks on students all over the school.
But there were times Ace would let his pride and stubbornness get the better of him. Mostly cause of Sandwich beating Ace in every possible bet.
Sandwich even tried to warn Ace about the rigged contract of with Azul, but Ace didn't listen to his food soul's warning.
"It seems that we will have to reshuffle." Sandwich sighed.
Sandwich in a way is like an older brother looking out for his brained celled younger brother. But will let things happen when Ace refuses to listen.
"Do you want to play cards? I really wanted to play together," Sandwich smiled.
Sandwich was accepted into Ace's family pretty easily. When the food soul wasn't lazing about, he is helping around the house or making the family's meals.
Over time Sandwich defiantly would become one of the few friends that can tolerate Ace's BS.
"Hey Ace," Sandwich called.
"Yeah, What's up?" Ace asked.
"You're probably one of the most amusing humans I've met in a long while. It seems my bet has finally paid off," Sandwich smiled as he lightly punched Ace's shoulder.
Malleus Dragconia + Double Scoop
Tumblr media
Malleus had seen many things in his long life, but these Food souls were defiantly something new and strange. He noticed that more and more students are starting to gain these strange familiars. He knew that most of these beings came from Y/n's world.
And Y/n themselves commanded many of these beings. As The prince of the Fae wandered the old ramshackle fields, he noticed some Food souls making their way back to the dorm. Something dropping out of their bags. Strange crystals and a summoning circle drawn on paper.
The close proximity of the components started the summoning. Malleus quickly dropped the paper as the crystals disappeared. Two figures emerged from the circle, Double Scoop.
"Which flavor of ice cream do you like? Are Vanilla and Strawberry okay?" Vanilla asked, only to turn to his brother. "Strawberry, say something too!"
"Um... Hello Master attendant," Strawberry said simply.
So, this was a very strange day For malleus. Having to return to the dorm with two food soul children in tow. Silver was indeed surprised, Sebek questioned who the intruders were, and Lilia was just happy to have new babies to take care of.
But The Food Soul's eyes were only for Malleus, Vanilla was a bouncing ball of energy by Malleus's side, and Will Strawberry just held onto the Prince's hand.
Malleus was a bit closer to strawberry, Cause he was a bit more on the quiet side, unlike Vanilla. Who Malleus was surprisingly okay with.
Vanilla was always the first to greet him back to the dorm with a big hug, or with some sort of small gift. With a warm smile and bubbling energy.
Strawberry is a little quieter and tends to help around the dorm and follow Malleus around the school from time to time.
"Shh, Master Attendant, don't let Vanilla see you, or else he'll get excited again," Strawberry whispered.
Even if Malleus was a bit closer to Strawberry, he found Vanilla surprisingly amusing and even reminded him a bit of Y/n. So he let things slide, that not even his close guards could.
"Oh, Master Attendant has returned! Strawberry, quickly go and welcome them in!" Vanilla smiled as he hugged Malleus.
"Ah, welcome back," Strawberry said as he held a tray with a tea set on it.
Sebek was not happy with how friendly these weird human food creatures were with the prince of Fae. So he would constantly scold Vanilla to not act so friendly around the Prince.
Sebek in a way was kind of jealous of the Food Soul and how close they were to Malleus.
______________________________
Double scoop was not so well received when they were brought to the valley of thorns. Many of the faes were unaware that the two were not human.
"What are those human Children doing, being so friendly and close," A noble Fae scoffed.
"I'm surprised that the Prince is even allowing filthy beings to stand so close to him," Another Laughed.
"Maybe they are just the Prince's new Pets," A third mocked.
So Lilia had to keep a close eye on the small food souls, so no other Fae goes kidnapping them.
Malleus's grandmother and parents were a bit confused by their child's new Familiars. But they could see the warmth the strange children brought their son and grandson.
Yet Malleus wasn't swaied by the whispers of his people.
"No matter who it is that you like, I only want to be by your side. That's enough for me. I think that Big Brother must also feel this way," Strawberry said with a small smile.
"If we three can be together like this forever, then that's enough," Vanilla smiled.
Malleus smiled as he lightly patted the twin's heads.

- ⧗ -
Y/n and Isla wandered down the hallway in the direction of the cafeteria, their friendship group surrounding them as they all chatted and laughed now that classes were over. Maria was fiddling with the end of Y/n's braid as she walked beside her best friend and she made sure not to tug it too hard.
As they entered through the huge double doors, Isla let out a little sound and sprinted away, darting around the tables as she spotted the head of blue and black braids sitting on an almost empty table. She launched herself onto her girlfriend's lap and looped her arms around her neck as they met with a kiss, making the rest of the group groan with huge grins plastered on their faces.
"They're so perfect it hurts my soul." Maria commented to Y/n who just smirked. The group filled in the rest of the seats around Valkyrie's table, throwing their backpacks down as their shoulders ached from the weight of all their books.
"Lovebirds, no making out at the dinner table." Clint said, sending Isla a glare as she stuck her middle finger up and shoved her tongue in Valkyrie's mouth. Clint yelled out and stood up from his chair. He may hate their PDA but it would never take away from his monstrous appetite. Especially not on pizza day.
Y/n pulled out her boxed lunch, curtesy of Wanda and her love of making lunch for her girls. She knew exactly what she'd find; last night's pasta salad leftovers, some strawberries and blueberries and a small container of cheezits. Nat had slipped a little note and Y/n couldn't help but make a face at how cute her moms were. It didn't matter that she was almost a senior, homemade lunches would always be her favourite.
She noticed a hand sneak to steal a cheezit, but Y/nknew there was no stopping Maria. She was the group's food thief, so everyone was used to it by now.
"Hey Y/n," Steve called from across the table, grabbing the redhead's attention. "Where's Bucky?"
"He texted to say something came up. Not sure what though." They'd only been officially dating for two months, but Y/n still felt butterflies in her stomach whenever he was around. He was the perfect gentleman; picking her up from events, opening doors for her, surprising her with bunches of flowers whenever they went on a date.
Y/n was completely head over heels in love and it made her smile so much brighter. Clint joked that she was like Aurora and that animals would start following her wherever she went and if she started singing.
As they chatted their way through the lunch hour, Y/n's phone started buzzing like mad, almost vibrating so hard it fell off the cafeteria table. She was chatting to Maria so ignored the messages, knowing whoever it was could wait.
"Aren't you gonna check that?" Maria asked, scooping up another forkful of pasta. Y/n just shook her head and shrugged, her mouth full of food so she couldn't talk. "Wow. You've got some serious self control."
"If it bothers you that much then you can check it," Y/n said as she swallowed, reaching for her water bottle. She and Maria were really close, so her seeing messages on her phone was no issue. They were the kind of friends where nothing was TMI.
Maria reached for her phone and tapped the screen as Y/n got elbowed in the ribs by her sister who was still perched on Valkyrie's lap. Isla was asking to trade her blackberries for Y/n's strawberries, who was not at all impressed.
Their sisterly banter distracted attention from Maria, who had all colour drained from her face as she stared at Y/n's phone in horror. Her thumb was hovered over the screen and she didn't dare to take her eyes off the screen, not even with Clint's strange laugh.
"Hey Hill, you look like you've seen a ghost!" Valkyrie called, everyone turning their head to the brunette.
Y/n frowned. "You okay Ria?" Maria looked up at her and then over at Isla who was just smiling widely.
"Yeah I'm ok. I just remembered I've got some homework to finish before class. Sorry." She grabbed her backpack and shoved the rest of her food into it but Y/n seized her wrist, making her pause.
"What happened? What did you see?" Maria had a death grip on Y/n's phone and didn't seem to want to let go. "Maria, I need to know. Show me."
"No it was nothing. Just one of those texts from Bucky, you know how he texts."
Y/n narrowed her eyes. "Bucky doesn't text like that during school because he knows you're always on my phone. So show me what you saw."
Maria's eyes darted to Isla who's smile had dropped into a look of concern. She slid off her girlfriend's lap and rounded the table, taking the phone from Maria over her shoulder.
It was as if thunderclouds had darkened the sky when Isla saw what was on the screen. Her green eyes turned stormy and her fingertips were going white with how hard she gripped the small device. Her reaction had caused the table to be silent and Y/n pulled her lip in between her teeth, trying to pull her phone from her sister's hand.
But Isla held it up out of her reach before slamming it down hard on the table.
"I'm gonna fucking kill him!" She yelled, grabbing her back and swinging it over her shoulder, almost knocking out a freshman behind her as she did so.
Y/n swiped her phone from the table and punched in her password, hands shaking from what she might find. But she didn't have to search far, as her phone unlocked a single picture filled the entire screen and turned her mouth sour.
Bucky's side profile graced her screen, which wasn't uncommon as her lock screen was a picture of him and her kissing. But this time it wasn't her that his lips were pressed against. It was a senior girl, someone Y/n had seen at her mom's studio last year.
Blonde, tall, tanned, it was almost disgusting cliche. But the picture didn't stay in focus for long before it became fuzzy by the tears welling in her eyes. Everyone had crowded around her and had taken a look at the phone, Steve punching the top of the table as he grunted about his best friend.
Isla was being held back by Valkyrie, angry tears streaming down her face as she ranted in fury. The twins may tease each other and drive each other insane, but when it came down to it, they would do anything for the other. Which included getting revenge on stupid boyfriends.
Y/n looked at the picture for a few more seconds before clicking her phone off and sliding it into her pocket. She didn't speak and her face remained neutral as she took a sip of water, eyes remaining fixed on the table.
"Y/n?" Maria asked, slightly scared at her best friend's silence. The redhead slipped her backpack onto her shoulders and turned to leave but Isla grabbed her shoulder.
"Hey, you okay?" It was a stupid question but her sister's silence was starting to scare her. Her mom did the same when she was upset; Y/n was almost Natasha's carbon copy. "Y/n?"
"I'm fine." The shortest sentence with the least amount of truth. Isla looked at Maria with a concerned look and they both surrounded her so she couldn't rush away.
"No you're not. You can't trick me." Y/n looked her sister in the eye and only then did Isla see the tears balancing on her waterline, the green irises looking extra vibrant. "Talk to me."
That was all it took. The tough front she'd tried to put up came crumbling down and her forehead fell onto her sister's shoulder, whole body shaking with sobs.
Isla froze for a moment but wrapped her arms around her sister and Maria rubbed her back, letting her know he was there. Isla tried to channel Wanda, knowing she was the best at comforting her daughters whenever they needed it.
"What did I do wrong?" Y/n cried into her sister's shirt, holding on really tightly.
"You did nothing wrong. He is a dick who doesn't realise what he had when he has it," Maria spoke into her ear. "You're too good for him babe."
"Clearly I'm not if he went off with her!" She spat, lifting her head and catching Clint's gaze. "I just-" she let out a sound that was somewhere between a groan and a roar and Isla winced as it was right by her ear.
Maria suddenly turned her head, eyes bulging out of her head. "Hey Y/n, let's go to the bathroom. More privacy there." The redhead was still crying but protested, not feeling like she wanted to go anywhere.
"I can't. If I see him, I-," her breath hitched as she spoke, crying making it hard to breathe. "I don't know where it went wrong. He kissed me this morning! He told me he loved me, he promised to take me on a date later and now-" that was enough to cut her off from talking and her bottom lip trembled, breaking everyone's hearts around her.
Surrounding tables had turned to look away from Y/n towards the double doors at the far end of the room, everyone watching one thing.
Bucky.
He was strolling through the tables with his backpack on one strap on his shoulder, unsure as to why everyone was staring at him. But his determined steps were soon halted by Steve, who placed his hand on Bucky's chest to stop him.
But it was too late. Y/n had looked up and locked her eyes on him, seeing the boy she loved having forceful words with Steve, his brow furrowed.
She completely froze. Maria was trying to get her attention, as was Isla and the rest of the group, but she was glued to the ground. Her body wanted to run but her brain was in overdrive, emotions clouding every function and blocking out the rest of the world.
She could just see Bucky and she hated it. She didn't want to do it, but she retreated into Natasha's bad habits, ones she'd picked up when she was younger and watching her mother struggle on her bad days.
She hauled the wall up in her mind and blocked everything else out. She shrugged off her sister's hands, Maria's too, and adjusted her bag on her shoulder.
"I'm gonna go find Miss Potts. I need to talk to her about the English assignment." This time she didn't wait for a response, storming off down the cafeteria as far away as possible from Bucky as she could be. Students started whispering amongst each other as she passed, but she didn't hear. She didn't care. Not anymore. She didn't care about anything.
She had 20 minutes until the end of lunch, so she kept walking with no true destination in mind. The football fields were pretty empty so she climbed up onto the bleachers and settled with her arms crossed over her knees, resting her chin on her forearms.
She wanted to process, to think everything over but her mind was empty. She had made herself numb in an alarmingly short space of time. It was dangerous but she didn't know what else to do. She'd never been through a breakup before. Or been cheated on. Had never even opened her heart up to anyone like she had to Bucky. And there wasn't a doubt that she would ever do that again either.
She spaced out and time flew really quickly. Science as last period. A boring class but her friends were in it, so it wasn't too bad. Except now she didn't want to talk to anyone. But she didn't have to. She just needed to get through the day and then she could have her whole night.
Technically it was a dance night for Y/n, but she didn't even want to dance anymore. So she wasn't going to. Not tonight.
She made her way slowly to the science laboratories and saw the bright red hair of her sister in amongst the crowd. She didn't bother walking up to them, knowing they'd come to her. And they did, checking over her to see if she was ok. But Y/n just shrugged which frustrated Isla.
"Stop trying to play it off Y/n," she exclaimed, trying to get through to her twin. "I know what you're doing. And mom won't be happy at all." She leaned down to whisper that in her ear, which made Y/n's eyes suddenly lock on hers. "Don't give me that look. You know as well as I do."
"Then don't tell her." Her voice was dull and flat, a total change from her usual bright and cheery tone.
"Y/n don't be stupid, you know I have to do that." Isla looked at her sister for a longer moment, her eyes softening. "Don't shut it out. You know what happened-"
She was interrupted by their teacher calling everyone into class. Isla didn't finish her sentence, only squeezing her sister's hand before disappearing into her seat on the other side of the room.
Maria sank into her chair, trying to act as normal as she could. She showed Y/n a funny video and made a joke about their teacher's bright green shirt. Y/n smiled but it was clearly fake. She felt bad for acting like this around Maria, but she understood why.
Her final classes went by quickly. She wasn't paying attention and her paper stayed empty from the beginning to the end. Maria slipped her an extra set of notes after watching how her pen wasn't even retrieved from her pencil case. As they walked out of class, Maria pulled Y/n into a tiny hug, not wanting to exchange any words.
Y/n knew the meaning of her affection and she secretly welcomed it, even if she wanted to push Maria aside.
"Text me if you need me, okay? And if I see that douchebag I'll..." she mimed a boxing action which made the redhead smile slightly.
"Y/n I'll give you a lift to dance." Usually Bucky took her, but there was no way she was even stepping foot anywhere near his car.
"I'm not going," she replied shortly, making Isla and Maria share a look. "I just want to go home."
"But Y/n-"
"I want to go home Isla. You can either drive or I'll walk." She adjusted her bag straps on her shoulder and turned away, marching down the hallway with her green eyes ice cold. Even the freshmen she usually smiled at were ignored and people skirted nervously around her.
"Fuck fuck fuck," Isla muttered, watching her sister walk away.
Maria placed a hand on her shoulder and nodded encouragingly. "Go. She needs you."
Isla hesitated, checking her phone. "Can you find Val? I said I would meet her-"
"I will. She'll understand." Isla smiled and then took off, her track history coming in handy as she sprinted off down the hallway.
- ⧗ -
"Y/n! Get in the car!" Isla had spotted the black hood of her sister walking down the sidewalk and she pulled over, driving along side her. But Y/n ignored her, keeping her head down. "Fucks sake Y/n! Get in the car!"
"Just leave me alone Isla."
"No. You can push everyone else away but you don't get to push me away." She checked the cars around her and shoved her own into park, jumping out and running over. "What happened to sticking together?"
"I don't care." That was the wrong thing to say and she knew it.
"Okay that's it." Isla grabbed her sister's arm and dragged her all the way back to the car, opening the door and lifting her onto the seat despite Y/n's protests to get away. It looked funny from the outside but neither of them were laughing. They were both pissed.
"Look, I get that you're mad," Isla began as she pulled onto their street, "but you cannot and will not get over this if you push everyone away." Y/n stayed silent, staring out of the window. "So talk to me."
"Please don't." Y/n really wasn't in the mood for talking; she thought that was evident. But her twin's persistent nature carried through strong, even if Y/n didn't break.
Isla had really tried to push to get information, at least something. But as she rolled into their driveway and Y/n had only sunk further into her seat with tears trickling down her face, she felt dejected.
"You won't be able to avoid it with Mom or Mama, you know. They're gonna ask- or I'm gonna tell them."
"Okay," was all that came as a reply before Y/n slammed her door shut and walked up the front steps. Isla watched her as a few spots of rain fell onto her windscreen. She puffed out her cheeks and let out a sigh before following the hunched figure, making sure to lock her car.
Wanda was in the middle of changing the bedsheets when she heard the front door close. She knew it was Isla and so didn't rush to greet her as a pair of feet sounded up the stairs. But they didn't come towards her, which wasn't unusual as the bathroom was in the opposite direction.
As she was replacing the pillowcases, a bright ringtone came from her dresser and Natasha's contact came into view. Wanda frowned but answered all the same, knowing she was calling from the middle of Y/n's private lesson.
"Hey Nat, is everything okay?"
"Is Isla home?" Nat asked as she chewed her lip, a rather annoying habit.
"Yeah I heard the front door go a few minutes ago. Why?"
There was a moment of silence before Natasha spoke again. "Is Y/n with her?"
Wanda frowned. Why would Y/n be with her? "I- well, I don't know. I haven't been down to check. But doesn't Y/n have dance tonight?"
"She does. But there's been no sign of her and Bucky's car hasn't pulled up either. And that girl won't answer her phone." She sounded worried and Wanda felt helpless. There wasn't much she could do to comfort Nat through the phone.
"Stay on the line, I'll go check." She opened the door and peered down the hallway, not seeing any of her girls. But footsteps up the stairs caught her attention and she spun around quickly.
But it was Isla. Not out of the ordinary.
"Hey sweetheart. Is your sister home?" Isla stared at her, eyes wide.
"Uh, yeah. I think she's in her room." Wanda eyed her suspiciously but turned towards Y/n's door. "Wait, I wouldn't disturb her yet. She's um-"
"What's going on?" Natasha asked as she heard Isla's quiet voice. The teenager grimaced and glanced at her sister's bedroom door before dragging Wanda back to her own room.
"Bucky cheated on her today," Isla said straight out, watching the colour drain from her mother's face and a string of curses came flowing from the phone's speaker. "But please, give her some space. She shut me out and if we push her she's only going to hide it more."
Wanda sank down onto her freshly made bed and placed her phone on her pillow, Nat still on speaker so her angry rant continued.
"- and I'll be home in 20 minutes. Yelena can sort the classes out and I'll cancel my privates for today-"
"Nat, no, you can't just leave the studio. They need you-"
"I'm a mom first Wanda. Our girls come first, you know that. And I don't like how Y/n is handling this so I will be coming home. And that's final." There was a jangle of keys before Nat hung up and Isla felt a fuzzy feeling in her stomach.
The twins really were lucky to have moms who would drop everything to go to them whenever they needed. Nat loved dance but she would give it all up for her family in a heartbeat.
"When did it happen?" Wanda asked, patting the bed beside her for Isla to take a seat.
The teenager pulled out her phone and got up the picture that made her stomach churn, holding it out for her mother to see. "She found out at lunch. But she did what Mama used to do and that scared me more than if she had been crying none stop."
Wanda placed the phone down with an unreadable expression and wrapped her arm around her eldest daughter's shoulders, kissing the top of her head. "She had you, even if she shut you out, you're her rock. I think just knowing you were there helped her more than you could know." Wanda's voice was gentle and definitely one of Isla's favourite sounds. Somehow she always knew what to say.
"She cried at first and it made me so angry I just wanted to protect her even more," Isla admitted, leaning into her mother. "And then he strutted in like the king of the school and I swear I could have punched him." Her mind flashed back to Y/n crying on her shoulder and Bucky's cocky face and her fist subconsciously clenched into a fist. Wanda noticed this and placed her hand on top, relaxing the tension straight away.
"She's lucky to have you," Wanda said with a smile as she kissed her daughter's head. "What do you say to ordering those cookies Y/n loves? To cheer her up?"
Isla smiled, nodding. "I think she'd love that."
Twenty minutes later Natasha walked through the front door with a box of cookies under her arm. She had intercepted them from the shy delivery guy who was more than happy to accept the large tip she gave him, accompanied by her terrifying scowl. Hearing Isla's news had put her in a foul mood and Yelena didn't dare argue when asked to cover the senior classes later on in the evening.
"Where is she?" She asked as she entered the kitchen, following the sounds of hushed chatting. Wanda stood up to retrieve the box and took Natasha's work bag from her shoulder, guiding her to a chair. Isla smiled and kissed her on the cheek which soften her glare slightly.
"She's still upstairs, my love," Wanda spoke softly and slipped behind her wife, rubbing her hands up and down the tense shoulders that Natasha wore. Her whole body was tense so Wanda's gentle massage made her let out a deep sigh. "We wanted to wait for you."
"She's less likely to bite your head off," Isla joked with a small smile. "I basically kidnapped her off the sidewalk so she's not too happy with me." Both women shot her a strange and look and Isla realised how weird her comment sounded. "She wouldn't get in the car... stubborn, you know?"
"And I know where she gets that from." Nat would have protested against her wife's comment but she was too into the massage for it to stop.
"I'll take her a cookie and see how she is. Being alone isn't good for that girl."
With a plate of three cookies in hand and a bottle of water in the other, Nat climbed the stairs to her room, her mind racing with different scenarios. Best case would be that Y/n would be crying on her bed. Worst case would be emotionless.
And there she was. Natasha's heart sank as she watched the shell of her daughter return to her bed after unlocking her door. Her cheeks weren't tear stained and she hadn't changed out of her school outfit yet. Her knees were pulled up to her chest as she leaned against the headboard and stared at a spot on the wall.
The framed picture of her and Bucky which usually sat on her nightstand was now tossed face down in a corner.
"Hey sweetheart," Natasha said softly, taking a seat on the edge of the bed. "Your mom ordered your favourite cookies." Y/n didn't move.
Nat scanned her entire body, the silence growing larger in the enclosed space. It unnerved her because this behaviour was such a contrast to Y/n's usual bubbly nature. There was always music playing whenever Nat came in her room, but now there was just a deathly silence.
"I heard what happened. How are you feeling?" No reply. "Y/n, don't shut me out please."
"I'm fine."
Nat let out a laugh. "Yeah, I can tell," she said sarcastically. "Talk to me lenya, it's okay."
Y/n gritted her teeth, digging the pads of her fingers into her knees. She didn't want to break, but the wall in her mind was growing weaker and Natasha knew exactly how to get through it. She'd learned her coping mechanisms from the best of course.
Nat could see it working. "Mama's here, you're okay. You can talk to me baby. Just let it out. What's going on inside that head of yours?"
That was the final straw. Y/n pulled her eyes away from the wall and found her mama's caring green ones staring back at her with love and compassion, and she cracked. Just one look at her mama and Y/N couldn't hold back anymore. She burst into tears and dropped her head to her knees, hiding herself.
Natasha moved quickly, sliding onto the bed beside her and and pulling her close to her chest, cradling her close. Y/n smooth hair was tangled but Nat ignored it and stroked her hand over it like she had done when her girls were babies. Three or seventeen, they were always her babies.
"I've got you, it's okay," were the words that Natasha murmured over and over. They didn't need to discuss what had happened yet. It was too soon. Y/N just needed her mama and a place to let it all out. Not that she couldn't do that with Wanda, but her connection with Nat was stronger. Wanda was Isla's rock, Natasha was Y/n's.
Nat couldn't help but let a tear slip down her cheek as she listened to Y/n's heartbreaking sobs. She could do nothing but let her cry, knowing that's what she needed. Blocking out emotions was Natasha's unhealthy habit and she kicked herself for letting Y/n learn it too. She encouraged her girls to let out their emotions, helping them do that if they needed.
Y/n choked out a sob and shuffled so she was hugging her mama's torso, looking for more comfort. "Aren't you supposed to be at the studio?" Always more worried about others, Y/n was selfless to the core.
"Nope. I'm supposed to be with my daughter who had a shitty day." Y/n smiled a watery smile and wiped her tears from her cheeks. "I left Yelena to oversee everything."
"That's a bold decision," Y/n said, her voice still shaky from crying. "But thank you."
"Oh my sweet girl, you don't need to thank me." She gently wiped a stray tear that had escaped down Y/n's left cheek. "You wanna tell me what happened?"
Y/n averted her gaze and looked at the dance company logo on Natasha's team jacket. "I got cheated on. It's stupid."
"You're right, he is stupid."
"She was really pretty too," Y/n cried, her tears appearing once more as the image replayed in her mind. "She's blonde and tall and probably everything he could ever want. I was dumb to think he'd be happy dating me when there are girls out there that look like her."
Natasha saw red. She hated negative self talk, but hearing it come from her daughter who was one of the most beautiful things she had ever seen made her furious.
Without saying a word, she got up from the bed and tugged Y/n to her feet, holding her steady as her head spun from crying. She walked over to the full length mirror on the wall and held her daughter in front of it, hands on her shoulders.
"You see that?" Natasha pointed in the mirror at Y/n's reflection. "That girl right there is perfect. She's so much better than any blonde girl who looks like a supermodel. You are beautiful, smart, thoughtful, funny, talented, this list would never end. Y/n Romanoff is perfect and you better remember that."
Y/n could barely see her reflection through the tears that had once again made another reappearance after her mama's speech. She tugged the hands on her shoulders so Nat's arms slipped in front of her and she had something to hold onto. Y/n pressed her cheek to Nat's forearm and leaned on it, feeling her mother hug her from behind.
"If I'm everything you say I am, why did he cheat?" She turned away from the mirror and looked up at her mother who's gaze softened as she cupped her daughter's face.
"Because men are shit," she stated bluntly. "Why do you think I married a woman? Why do you think Isla is dating one? Men are shit and he didn't deserve you one bit. You, my girl, deserve the very best. Not some immature high school boy who didn't realise what he had with you."
"I really thought he was the one," she said dejectedly. Nat kissed her forehead and brought her back to the bed. "How did he change so fast?"
"I don't know honey. But you don't need him anymore. My girl can find someone miles better than him."
"I don't think I want to date."
Natasha stroked her hand over Y/n's hair and reached for the bottle of water laying on the blanket. "Even better. Means I get you all to myself." She pulled Y/n into her side and held up the bottle for her to take. "Crying makes you dehydrated, so drink up."
Y/n took a few sips, feeling the cool liquid soothe her raw throat. She made sure the lid was on tightly before placing it on her nightstand. "Every time I see him in the hallway I won't know what to do."
"Unfortunately that will just fade with time honey. But you've got Isla and Maria who will be beside you at all times. They'll keep him away, you know your sister."
"Im scared she's gonna punch him."
Nat paused for a moment. "Part of me wants to let her, but I guess I have to be a responsible adult and talk her out of it." Her joke worked and Y/n laughed, smiling properly for the first time since lunch.
"Unless you want to be called to a meeting with the principal, then yeah I think so."
Natasha tightened her arms around her daughter and hugged her hard, breathing in the remains of her floral perfume. "You think you're ready to see Isla and Mom yet? They're worried about you."
As much as Y/n wanted to stay in that blissful moment with her mama, she knew she needed to see the others too. And also apologise to Isla who was only trying to help.
"If you'll help me talk to them?"
"Of course sweetheart. Of course."

A heavy sigh falls from your lips as you punch in your employee badge number, your head falling against the corresponding wall while you search for the energy to take yourself to the car for the insufferable drive home. This week, or better yet this year has been nothing short of treacherous, everything you once knew turned out to be a lie, and now everyday is a chore.
——I hate the readmore bs——
——I hate the readmore bs——
All you ever wanted was to be loved, and for the longest time you thought you were, but it turned out you were just an entity she was using to pass the time until something far more worthy of her love came along, and that hurt. To know you weren't ever going to be enough for the girl you were willing to move mountains for didn't really leave you in a great headspace. Add onto that the shitty nine to five, a family that's only purpose is to wreak chaos over your life, and best friends who are constantly out of town doing big dream things, and it's like the misery finds its home perfectly in your heart.
As they say, misery loves company, so here you are in the snack section of the local superstore, but the longer you stare at the selection of food the idea of eating starts to feel like a turn off.  So you instead make your way over to the adult toy section in search of a turn on, finding a new device to hopefully bring meaning into your life once again, it even has little beads that rotate—the first exciting thing to enter your life in ages honestly, and if you were to let yourself think about that for too long it's a bit pathetic.
You settled your bags into the passenger seat of your junky car, a few miscellaneous candy bars that caught your eyes at the checkout floating around the bags will have to suffice for dinner tonight, then you drove off with thoughts of hijacking your cats peace with stories of your day, and forced cuddles... It's no wonder the poor little tabby has been staring longingly at the front door when you leave every morning.
Florence was across the world filming for Marvel when she got the good news that you were finally single again, she absolutely hated Lacy with her entire being, and was happy to see her go. Still, even though she hated her, she loved you too much to be that excited, and she did her very best over the past year to reach out to you from the unfavorable miles away, but it was never enough for her, or for you either.
Deep down the Brit knew you weren't doing well—she always did have a knack for that; your replies were far too short, the daily photos you used to send her of your good day stopped, then when your mutual friends recently told her they hadn't seen you in actual months she knew it was bad. She's used to your depressive patterns, having been around all this time, but that's just it, normally she'd be there for you, and it shatters her soul to know she wasn't.
Then last week she saw you'd actually shown up to Hailee's party via posted photos on Insta, and she cursed her agent for double booking her because when she saw your smile she knew it was simply masking a world of hurt. It was only confirmed when Hailee called her later with her own list of observed concerns, and she knew it was imperative that she fly back to you.
When she had entered your apartment this morning after watching you drive off she gasped, and shot her leg out to stop Toby from making his great escape., "You little bugger.," she'd muttered as she scooped the feline up., "I'm aware these aren't exactly ideal living situations, but let's not pretend you don't live a lavish life.," she continues while motioning to the actual palace structure you've set up for him in the corner of your apartment.
The space you've been occupying held none of your usual luster, it was instead tainted by what could only be described as absolute filth. Inches of dust covered every surface, and Flo just knew you couldn't be faring well with those pesky allergies of yours. Clothing was strewn about the front room as if you never even made it passed the couch, and it seemed to be the case too as there was a person sized indent in the cushions. The messes didn't stop there either, they were all over the place, it was a stark contrast to your usual put togetherness.
It took her three hours to deep clean the entire space, but once it was inhabitable she began to brainstorm., "Oh Tobes, what am I to do with the place, hm?," the cat snuggled into her chest, purring like crazy., "You're right little guy, just give me a few minutes to rest.," and within the minute she was out, dreaming of your beautiful, smiling face coming home.
After a well deserved afternoon nap Florence set out on the city to pull together a miracle. It was Fall, the both of yours favorite season, so when she arrived to the supermarket to see it decked out in displays full of reds and oranges she was excitedly filling her cart to the brim. Candles that smell of cinnamon and apples to set the mood, various gourds and faux leaves, and even some of those silly "Fall" plaques. Meticulously selected ingredients for a stew were added to the cart as well, as she has now seen your kitchen full of only fruits, and candy. Still, she also added the ingredients for an apple pie to the mix, a pint of vanilla ice cream to accompany it, oh, and a whole lot of booze.
Tonight will be a night for the taking!
When you tiredly settled the key into your knob you immediately froze, beneath your feet there was a "Welcome Home, Pumpkin." mat, and a sweet medley of music was faintly audible just beyond the closed door. After triple checking this was indeed your building your mind knew exactly what to expect behind the door.
Florence is here...
A few tears fell down your face, shame fueled your body for all of one minute before apathy took over; she'd seen this before, most likely expected it, and you knew she'd never judge. More tears fell though when you realized just how dearly you'd missed your friend from across the pond. It had been exactly three hundred and eighty nine days since you last saw her, but who's counting, certainly not you.
When you finally went to turn the knob the door flew open, so hard actually you don't know how it didn't fly off the hinges, or why Florence was cast as Yelena and not She-Hulk. The short haired blonde pulled your now sobbing form right on into the apartment, and then right into her embrace, you wrapped your arms around her waist, settled your head to her shoulder and sighed in relief at the contact.
"Flo...," she shushed you, not all that interested in talking, all she wanted was to hold you close. "I missed you.," you slur, your cheek having been pressed to her chest a bit too tightly., "God, missed is such an understatement.," she admits, and tightens her arms hold on you, you melt even further into the offered comfort.
Against her hearts pull Flo pulls back from you, "Okay, now you're going to take a shower, then meet me back in the living room for dinner and an array of Halloween themed movies!" She cheerily instructs, her hands now on your shoulders as she lightly shakes you to get you pumped up., "Okay, damn, had no clue I smelled that bad.," you teased before running off to freshen up, and her belly laughter from behind made you genuinely beam.
Of course your bedroom was in pristine condition when you entered, you choked back further sobs at the sight of the care basket. "Sweater Weather" was the themed fragrance of all the new bath products, and Flo certainly had good taste because the smell was divine. Memories of the both of you picking apples, and frolicking through forests leaves you feeling incredibly warm as the fragrance seeped into your pores, her choice making even more sense now that it clouded the bathroom.
When you arrived in the living room in just a tank, and sleep shorts with dripping hair Flo literally choked on her wine, turning her head away in the hopes that you didn't catch it, but to her misfortune you surely did., "What?," Truth be told she was incredibly distracted by your glimmering thighs, and pert nipples, but in an attempt not to make you uncomfortable she manages another thought., "Did your mother never teach you how to dry your hair?,"
"Nah, she was a bit busy being a menace.," you jest while plopping down beside her, giggling maniacally when she gasps, droplets of water from your hair having splattered onto her, and if only to add insult to injury you stole the wine right from her hand., "Yeah, I'm starting to see the resemblance.," she lightly jokes, and your knowing smirk over the glass has her rolling her eyes and leaving the room.
Though you'd protested, Florence refused to start Practical Magic until your hair was dry, fearful that the chill seeping through the walls would make you sick if she didn't do it for you. So now your head was being haphazardly thrashed around as the blonde handled you. Florence chuckled when you still tried to drink, but the shaking only spilled the wine on your legs., "Y/N, the wine's going nowhere, calm yourself.," you huffed, slumping into the couch when she relinquished her hold on you, and Flo found your little pout beyond adorable as your—her—empty glass was promptly lifted up in a silent plea for more.
She topped you off, filled her own up, then she passed you over a bowl of soup, watching you dip your spoon in without any hesitation made her feel rather accomplished., "Mmm, Flo.," she turned towards the TV to hide her blushing cheeks, cursing the world for how easily she finds herself affected by your innocent moans. With every passing minute your body slowly moved closer to hers; empty bowls on the coffee table, and your head in her lap, she ran her hand through your hair mindlessly while splitting her attention between your face and the movie she couldn't really keep up with.
Especially not when she felt your tears rolling down her knee as the movie came to an end, it seemed to be a happy one, but your pained expression made her think she might've missed something., "Hey, what's wrong baby girl?," you abruptly moved about until your arms were around her shoulders, and your face was pressed to her chest as the tears failed to dry., "I-I, I'm so tired of being alone Flossie, am I really that unlovable?," her heart instantly shattered at your pained words, the same one that secretly belonged to you, then thoughts of ringing Lacy's neck flooded her troubled mind.
"Y/N, hey, look at me please!," she lifted her hand up to cup the left side of your face, her thumb tenderly ushered away the tears that threatened to stain your cheeks, and even in your most vulnerable state she thought you looked stunning., "You are not unlovable!!," she softly smiled down at your skeptical face., "In fact, I happen to know many people who love you.," you shook your head in disbelief., "Well, Hail's loves you, and goodness me my family loves you more than me.," your muffled giggles made her heart swell., "Billie girl is obsessed, and I have to tell you—so am I."
Something in her glistening green eyes told you there was a bit more to her words than that of a friendly means., "Fuck anyone whoever made you think otherwise. You're perfect, anyone would be more than lucky to have you Y/N.," You knew how pathetic you probably looked, but fuck, you wanted that anyone to be her. "Help me forget.," the slight buzz encouraged you to push for her., "Please Flo.," if only for tonight you were hoping to feel what it was like to be truly loved., "I need you so bad."
Every ounce of her self control went right out the window when you expressed your need to her with not only words but those pleading eyes. Her lips briefly trembled before she gently pressed them to yours as she tested the waters out, the momentum picking right up when you parted your lips for her without any prompting. Every dream she'd ever had of this moment could never compare to the real thing, your lips fit perfectly to hers—like two pieces of a corresponding locket, they might be forced to be apart from time to time, but it's undeniable that they belong together.
When her tongue slipped over yours, there was a collective set of moans, you tasted just how she expected—sweet as can be, but with the wine from before there was a bitter overlap that really just enhanced your natural essence. Hands freely roamed over your incredibly thin cami, thumbs harshly digging into your hips when you began to grind down against her. She's not sure when it happened but you were now straddling her lap, not that she was complaining when her strong arms hoisted you up, her lips never once parting from yours as she expertly made her way to your room with you, gently laying you down on the mattress, and only then did your bodies lose contact. Paying your whimpers no mind she takes in a shaky breath., "Y/N, baby, are you sure?," her eyes were near black so you knew it was taking everything in her to stop to ensure you were in.
"Flo, I've never been more sure in my entire life. Please, show me what love really is.," clothing was immediately discarded, Flo taking in a sharp breath when met with your body in all of its naked glory, her eyes took their sweet ass time drinking you in too. No inch of your skin was spared, starting at your shoulders she slowly trailed her eyes down over the swell of your breasts, to the skin of your stomach that looked like the prime canvas for her markings. Once she lands on your thighs she's a goner, perfectly plush and absolutely glistening with your arousal, and she doesn't care to hold back anymore as she climbs to hover over you.
"You're a masterpiece baby.," she genuinely relays before her lips press to yours gently, and her fingers delicately trace down your sides until her hands settle over your hips firmly., "I've been waiting so long to have you, promise to be gentle baby, going to love you so well.," she whispers as her lips ghost over yours, the tender look in her eyes has you near to crying her sudden revelation leaves your mind dizzy, and her lips on your neck has you whimpering.
Flo travels down your body, her lips sparing no expanse of skin, taking extra care to mark up your breasts, her thumbs flicking over your sensitive nipples that were desperate for the touch, but her mouth pays them no mind on its hasty journey towards your lower region. Tasting you being one of her wildest dreams come true, and the hint of your essence on your delectable thighs has her bordering feral as her hands move from your hips to grip at the soft, pliable flesh to keep yours perfectly spread.
She breathes you in; long, deep breaths to aide her in smelling your delicious essence, the release of the hot breathe against your folds has you squirming impatiently, and though she'd love nothing more than to tease you, to make you beg for it, that's not tonights goal., "Sweetest, I love you so...," she groans, eyes on your hooded set but you're not entirely sure she isn't talking directly to your exposed cunt.
Then she dives in, her tongue working you over embarrassingly fast, within only a minute you are already teetering over the edge, all of her previous building you up clearly paying off. Many times you'd tried to close your legs, the pleasure she's provided you almost too much, but you were no match for her strong hold. Florence was in absolute heaven; the way you tasted a true blessing, your moans that never stopped leaving her in a state herself, and how strongly your walls tried to hold to her tongue.
Her thumb pressing into, and rubbing tight circles against your clit was what sent you over, walls fluttered around her wet muscle like crazy, and she went absolutely insane when your arousal coated her tongue in abundance., “You taste heavenly baby.,” she panted in between lapping at your folds, the way she hummed in satisfaction against you sent a new wave of arousal straight to your core.
The blonde smirked against your thigh when she witnessed you clench around nothing, two of her fingers slipped into you to remedy the situation, and you moaned at the unexpected but absolutely welcome intrusion. Her lips traveled back up your body, leaving behind new marks over the skin that was previously spared on her journey back up to your lips as if they’d been magnetized to hers.
She kisses you with passion as her fingers are relentless with their movements to bring you over, she’s gentle with you while also making sure to give your greedy cunt the pounding it needs, the woman is a skilled love maker, and your inability to keep up with her kiss is proof of that. Your head lolled to the side, cheek to the mattress while you did your best to pull in any air you could, the pressure within your abdomen was blinding, but that mattered little to Florence., “No pretty girl, look at me...," she hotly whispers as she guides your face back to hers, eyes fluttering open to see the intense way hers observe your face all the while her fingers are working you over the edge of bliss; it's almost all too much for you to bare.
"I want to see you coming undone baby.," and just like that with a precise curve of her fingers against your innermost sensitive spots you're thrown into a far more exhausting orgasm than the one prior, your body shakes with pleasure as you're cumming unbelievably hard, your arousal spreading out all over her palm and coating her slender fingers., "Fuck, such a perfect girl for me, my perfect, sweet girl."
Too lost in the moment you don't hear the way she seeks to claim you, not that you'd protest when she has the power to make you feel so many things you'd never known possible. Watching the way she slips your digits into her mouth to clean off your sticky arousal, with eyes that never for a second leave yours, you feel like all the air around you'd been removed. You swear you could come again right there without her even having to make another move to touch you, but that's not something you have to ponder long as she leaves you alone in bed.
"Oh baby girl, shh, I'm right here.," she calls out as she hears you sniffle, the fear of being left in such a vulnerable place lent you to cry at the sudden loss of her body heat, but her words then following smiling face settled you just as fast., "Not to be a snoop, but I saw what you brought home from the store honey, and I thought we could try it out on you together."
The toy slips beyond your entrance with no resistance, your previous orgasms remnants more than enough to help it pass through. Florence gives you a moment to get used to feeling full before she's pulling out and softly slamming it back into you, your back arching off the bed at the teasing sensation of the raised, beaded tip rubbing against your walls. Flo smirked when she saw you with your mouth agape, the way your body reacted to the simplest of sensations honestly amused her.
"Doing so good for me pretty girl.," she coo'd, chuckling when your walls clenched so tightly around the toy at the praise. She turned the toy on, and your eyes slammed shut as the balls in the tip began to pulsate and spin around, the constant vibrations leaving you an absolute mess, and fuck you looked absolutely perfect. Chest heaving as breathing was becoming hard, all your moans coming out strangled, your hands were balled up into fists around the mussed up sheets, and your legs were shaking., "You're so beautiful baby, I really meant it when I said you're a masterpiece, belong in the Louvre honey—you're certainly my muse."
Florence stared at you wide eyed, your body thrashing about uncontrollably as what she deemed to be your final high of the night washed over you, the evidence spraying across her forearm, your thighs and the sheets below., “Shit, that was so incredibly hot baby girl.,” she groaned, the sight of you so blissed out and squirting had her drenching her own panties and clenching her thighs together for relief.
Your body didn’t stop quivering though, so she shook herself free from her own needy state to lay atop of your body, using her weight to ground you in place, and laying her head over your rapidly beating heart. The thumping was calming for her, regardless of how irregular it was it brought her to a state of total serenity. Her mind no longer clouded with lust was now wondering what this whole ordeal meant.
To her this was absolutely everything—you are everything, but she wondered if this was just a means to forget for you like you’d said.
Did she really allow you to use her for something like that when she knew her feelings for you were beyond and then some?
When your heart had returned to normal, your chest no longer heaving uncontrollably beneath her head, she knew it was now or never for her. Either she told you how she felt, and you turn her down, or she tells you and it all works out., "Come home with me.," she desperately pleads as she hovers above you, her eyes brimming with tears effectively breaking your resolve., "Flo…," she shakes her head., "No, don't say it." Her swift dismissal had shocked you, the fear in her tone doubling that uneasy feeling, and you could tell she had so much more left to say, so you shut right up.
"I've watched you give everything to a world of people who never deserved you.," a shaky breath fanned across your skin as she briefly paused, but then her eyes were peering into yours with the intensity of a thousand suns., "I just wish to be the one you'd give it all to Y/N, because I know without a shadow of a doubt that I'd give you all of me if you'd accept that.,” the way her voice shook physically pained you.
"I've loved you through every phase of my life, and this moment we have shared, it'll never be enough for me Y/N, I want all of you always.," The way Flo stared at you had the power to make you feel like you always belonged, even when so many others told you much to the contrary. Whether you were in a room full of your mutual peers, or her big leagued actor friends all she ever saw was you, and she never really understood how you didn't see that. It was far from a secret; the entire friend group always joked that you two would be perfect together in the hopes that you'd finally see her, but you always giggled away what you believed to be an unobtainable dream.
There was no plausible way Flo wanted you...
Up until now you just didn't get it, you had Lacy in your ear with her lies of forever, and you curse yourself for that very thing. So many years spent with someone giving you the bare minimum when you had someone who was ready to give you it all with no questions asked. While you reached your epiphany, Florence herself was on the verge of a breakdown when you remained stoically silent; your eyes full of unreadable emotions staring into hers full of pure love made her feel uneasy, and even far more exposed than her currently bare form.
"I-I'm going to go, I have an early flight to catch.," she rambles off, her hand quick to wipe the tears away before she shimmies down the bed and off your body. It takes a minute for you to register what she'd said, and just before she could reach the door you were blocking her., "Flo, my sweetest girl.," you coo'd while lifting her face by her chin, then shifting to cup her cheeks., "Please don't need to go...," you settled soft kisses to the tears tracks that covered her cheeks., "Not without me that is.," you flash her the sweetest smile, and she feels a warmth blossoming through her body.
There was a hesitation in her features, like she couldn't believe that you were being serious, and that alone amplified the guilt in your heart., "I mean, we could just stay in my bed too, because my home is wherever you are.," Her deep throaty laughter settled you, the same way it always had, and you admired the way her puffy eyes crinkled, a true show of how quickly you'd been able to turn her mood., "Really, it's a comfy bed, lots of blankets...,"
"An abundance of pillows, you sure I'll fit?," you chuckled at her teasing commentary, "Yeah, I'll always make the room for you.," Florence buried her face into the crook of your neck as she let your words truly sink in, the deeper meaning far from lost on her., "You've always been my home Y/N/N, I've loved you in secret for years, and I never want to again."
"I'm sorry I never believed it, seemed crazy to think you'd ever love me back, but had I just opened my eyes I'd have seen the blatant truth." Flo pulled back to narrow her eyes at you., "Excuse me?! Back as in you could've been mine all along had I just grown a pair?," you nod sheepishly under her intense stare.
"Well ain't that some serious shit." She curses, and you giggle at her annoyed expression., "Yeah, but hey, it's the perfect season for this revelation.," with her hands on your hips and a quirked brow she silently urges you to go on., "Florence, there's no need to fall in love with you, because I'm already irrevocably there.," Flo eyes you with the upmost suspicion when you pause to lean your forehead onto hers., "Care to continue falling with me though?,"
"You goof, I'm already there too! But yes, how about you fall with me into this comfy bed.," Florence slaps your chest playfully then drags you over to the bed, but before she could pull you down you pushed her, then you climbed to hover over her, and the smirk you flashed had her body shivering., "Thought it was only fair that I returned the favor darling.," you husked, and Florence whimpered when your cold hands slid underneath her shirt, lips now hovering over hers., "Probably going to miss your flight though...," you teased before softly kissing her.
Plans to make the night last at the front of your mind as your hands did the job of wandering., "Can always rebook for a later date my love, we have our whole lives to figure it all out now.," your tone was soft and sweet, but Florence saw right through you, your dark eyes more honest. The both of you groaned in tandem when the fingers you effortlessly slid into her wet heat were welcomed without question by her warm, velvety smooth walls.
Yeah, you were definitely right at home...

Recipe #1: Reem's Muhammara
Photo Credit: Jung Fitzpatrick Photography and Ricarius Photography
"Muhammara is my homecoming. I discovered this addicting dip as an adult and fell in love with it when I went back to Syria in 2010. At the time, I was soul-searching in my father's homeland and started to open my eyes to all the richness of my Syrian identity, particularly through the food and hospitality. Up until then I was only exposed to my mother's Lebanese and Palestinian cooking and wasn't well-versed in Syrian food. In every home in Syria, my family would serve multiple mezze dips with dinner and muhammara was always a centerpiece. It has the perfect combination of tangy, nutty, and spicy flavors. And it looks beautiful on a dinner spread. I began to feature it at my farmers' markets and catering, and it became an instant hit. Now it is a staple in my restaurant and represents my Syrian pride. Look for Aleppo pepper and pomegranate molasses in Middle Eastern or specialty grocery stores, and you can easily halve or double this recipe to suit your needs. Serve with your favorite bread."
Makes 4 cups (2 lb / 1 kg)
Ingredients:
2 1/2 lb (1.2 kg) red bell peppers (7 large)
2 1/2 cups (9 oz / 250 g) walnut halves
1 cup (2 oz / 60 g) panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons pomegranate molasses
1 tablespoon lemon juice
3-4 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon cumin
1 tablespoon Aleppo pepper flakes
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup (75 ml) extra virgin olive oil
Pomegranate seeds, walnuts, or chopped parsley, to garnish optional)
Directions:
Preheat your oven to 400F (200C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place the peppers on it. Roast until the skins are charred, about 30 minutes, turning them over once or twice. Transfer to a sealable bag, or a bowl covered with plastic wrap, and set aside until cool enough to handle. Tear them open, remove the stem and seeds, and peel the skins.
Working in batches, if necessary, combine the walnuts and breadcrumbs in a food processor, and process to a cornmeal-like texture. Add the roasted peppers, pomegranate molasses, lemon juice, garlic, cumin, Aleppo pepper, and salt, and pulse until smooth, turning off the machine and scraping down the sides of the bowl from time to time.
With the processor running, slowly add the olive oil, and blend until the oil is completely incorporated. Taste and add salt, if needed.
Garnish as desired and serve chilled or at room temperature.
"Reem Assil is the chef and founder of Reem's in Oakland, California. Reem's was founded with a passion for the flavors of Arab street-corner bakeries and the vibrant communities where they're located. Growing up in a Palestinian-Syrian household, Reem was surrounded by the aromas and tastes of food from her homeland and the connections they evoked of her heritage, family, and community. Before dedicating herself to a culinary career, Reem worked for a decade as a community and labor organizer, and brings the warmth of community to all her events. In 2017, she graduated from La Cocina, a competitive food business incubator program focusing on immigrant women."
Recipe #2: Gazan Hot Tomato And Dill Salad
Dagga (Salata Ghazawiyya)
"This is the most frequently served salad in Gaza, with a hot ite that makes it a fantastic accompaniment to meaty stews or rice dishes. Dagga, which is a variation of the work meaning "pounded" in Arabic, is commonly scooped up with Arabic bread, and has a consistency similar to that of a Mexican salsa. This dish must be made in a mortar and pestle with a rough interior (in Gaza, a zibdiya). Don't bother using a food processor!
Though she herself was of mixed Circassian and Kurdish-Damascene ancestry, my late maternal grandmother, il-Sitt Laila, as she was endearingly known, was fond of this classic, and used to refer to it as "the centerpiece of the Gazan table." It was probably the first recipe I learned from my mother, who often tasked us young children with the rhythmic exercise of mashing garlic.
Dagga is one of those recipes you are likely to find Gazan Palestinians making the world over, probably in a zibdiya they've inherited, a great source of pride. The original mortars are extremely hard to come by due to constant closures. They are fashioned from the rich, red clay in Gaza, and a constant reminder that though we may be thousands of miles (and often an unattainable reality) away, we have a part of that earth with us, and we can taste home wherever we go.
You can substitute 1 tablespoon dill seeds for the fresh dill and 2 tablespoons finely chopped onions for the garlic. The dill seeds should be ground in the mortar thoroughly in a circular motion along with some of the salt, before adding the onions and proceeding with the recipe."
Serves 4
Ingredients:
2 garlic cloves, peeled
1/2 teaspoon salt
2-3 hot green chili peppers, such as jalapeno or serrano
1/4 cup (1/2 oz / 15 g) finely chopped dill
3 ripe medium tomatoes, coarsely chiopped
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Extra virgin olive oil
Arabic flatbread or pita, to serve
Directions:
Using a large mortar and pestle, mash garlic and salt to a paste. Coarsely chop up the chili peppers, removing some of the membranes if you prefer less heat. Add the peppers to the mortar and crush until tender. Stir in the dill. Using circular motion, grind the dill until fragrant.
Add the tomatoes and pound until salad reaches a thick salsa-like consistency. Transfer to a serving dish, stir in the lemon juice, and then mix the entire salad well and even out the top with the back of a spoon. Drench the top with a rich olive oil, but don't stir it in.
Serve with Arabic flatbread on the side for scooping it up.

Recipe #3: Baked Fish Kibbeh
Kibbet Samak
"Growing up in Nazareth, we seldom ate red meat on Friday. The cafeteria at my elementary school would frequently serve mujaddara (lentil pilaf), which grew monotonous week after week. After school, my cousin Aida would take me to her house where my aunt Um Sami would feed us her delicious fish kibbeh. Hers was the only other cooking my mother really respected. And since Um Sami was on a first-name basis with the local fisherman, she always used the freshest catch.
A few summers ago, my family and I were on our annual deep-sea fishing trip to Montauk Point, New York, and as is our custom, we caught and enormous amount of fish. When I was trying to figure out creative ways to use it all, my aunt's recipe came to mind. It is a wonderful dish for a party, and this recipe can be easily doubled. It it best served with fattoush."
Serves 6 to 8
Ingredients:
SEASONING
1 tablespoon saly
1 1/2 tablespoon allspice
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
1 1/2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Pinch nutmeg
3/4 teaspoon dried marjoram
Zest of 1/2 lemon
Zest of 1/2 lime
Zest of 1/2 orange
SHELL
1 1/2 cups (8 oz / 225 g) extra-fine bulgur (size 0)
1/2 small white onion, coarsely chopped
1 1/2 lb (700 g) skinless grouper fillet or other firm white fish, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon hot pepper paste (optional)
STUFFING
1 1/2 (700 g) skinless striped bass fillet or other flaky white fish cut into 1 inch (2 cm) pieces
Salt
1/2 cup (120 ml) vegetable oil
1/4 cup (60 ml) olive oil, plus more for oiling
2 medium white onions, diced
2 shallots, diced
1/2 cup (1 oz / 30 g) chopped cilantro, plus more to garnish
1 tablespoon pomegranate or grape molasses or citrus juice
1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 cup (1 3/4 oz / 50 g) slivered almonds, toasted or fried, plus a few more to garnish
1/4 cup (1 1/2 oz / 40 g) pine nuts, toasted or fried
Directions:
Combine the spices and zest for the seasoning. Divide the mixture in half; half will be for your shell, and half for the stuffing.
Next, make the shell: Place the bulgur in a large bowl and add enough water to cover the bulgur by 1/4 inch (6 mm). Set aside until it absorbs the water, about 30 minutes.
Place the onions in the bowl of a food processor and process until very finely chopped. Remove and set aside. Place the grouper in the food processor and process to the consistency of a paste. In a large bowl, combine the onion, fish, and plumped bulgur. Mix in the hot pepper paste, and the spice-zest mixture you set aside for the shell.
Prepare a bowl of ice water. Dipping your hands in the ice water to prevent sticking, knead the mixture between your palms until it becomes dough-like. Cover and refrigerate.
Next, make the stuffing: Sprinkle 1/4 teaspoon of the spice mixture onto the fish with a small pinch of salt. Heat the vegetable oil in a large, heavy-bottomed saucepan over high heat. Fry the fish in batches, gently turning occasionally, until lightly browned on all sides, approximately 8 minutes. Transfer the cooked fish to a plate lined with paper towels.
Pour out the vegetable oil. In the same pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Saute the onions and shallots, stirring, until they are translucent and lightly browned, about 15 minutes. Add the cilantro and cook, stirring, for 2 to 3 more minutes. Add the fried fish, molasses, lemon juice, toasted nuts, and remaining spice mixture. Stir well, remove from the heat, and taste, adding salt, if needed. Allow to cool to room temperature.
Preheat the oven to 350F (180C). Coat a 13 inch by 9 inch (33 cm by 23 cm) glass or ceramic oven fish with 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil. Remove the shell from the refrigerator and divide into halves. Use one batch to evenly line the bottom and sides of the baking dish. Evenly spread the stuffing on top of the shell. Spread the remaining shell paste over the top, pressing it with cold damp hands to level and seal the edges. Use a knife to score just the top layer into portions. Additional designed can be carved into each portion (usually rectangles or triangles).
Bake until cooked through and golden brown, 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool for 15 minutes before serving, so the portions hold their shape. Garnish with chopped cilantro and almonds, if desired.

Ushijima early childhood Headcanons?? IDFK this started as like one sentence and now it's this LMAO
Ushijima was the CHONKIEST baby. Like I'm talking rolls upon rolls, a whole double decker biscuit. He had to be over ten pounds when he was born.
He had a very strong grip as a kid, like I know FOR A FACT that if he grabbed onto his mother's hair, she knew she was not prying that hand away without about 10 strands gone.
He had that 'I'm judging you' look that so many babies have. Like he'd look at you. closely. just staring into your SOUL. and then he'd just continue doing whatever the fuck babies do (like chewing on his hands or smth idk).
I also know for a fact that as SOON as he could crawl, Ushijima would almost disappear every time. This man was on a MISSION, and no one was going to stop him (except his parents, who had to scoop him up before he knocked something over and died or some shit). His parents set him down for two seconds and suddenly he's halfway across the house, he was FAST.
I think that he also was very, self sufficient?? I think?? Or at least he tried to be. When he was a toddler, anytime he was hungry, he tried to make himself his own food. Or if he was thirsty, he tried to get himself his own water. And although he was pretty big for his age, he still couldn't reach anything above the counter. So he would constantly try to wiggle his tiny body onto the counter with his tiny baby muscles and cook something. He never actually got to making anything, though. Since his parents always caught him before he could severely hurt himself.

AND you did it again, life interrupted is now my favorite AU thank you so much for writing more of it!! Gil is so sweet and Druig just wants whats best for his big sister 🥹 would love love love to see something where Thena is having a Bad Day and Gil is just being extra kind and gentle and soft w her, maybe even it gets to the point where Thena explains what happened to her and why she’s lost her way a bit. Sorry I cannot stop thinking about this AU but as usual anything you write will make me lose my mind with its perfection!!!
Thena sniffed, sitting at Gil's kitchen as he poured her a glass of water. Her hands still had a slight shake to them, even though it had taken them fifteen minutes to walk to his place.
Gil still didn't know exactly what had happened. Just that one minute she was fine and the next she was trembling with her arms wrapped around herself. He had thrown his coat around her shoulders and gotten her home without further incident. He hadn't asked about it yet, either.
From the moment they walked in, all he'd done was whisper sweet nothings and reassurances and been nice and gentle with her. All he'd done was be perfect.
"Hey," Gil whispered as she took a sip without the glass shaking too badly. He leaned his head down to get a look at her, eyes searching for anything wrong and what he might be able to do about it. "Better?"
Thena gulped, nodding. How did she ever find such a perfect soul as Gilgamesh?
"I'm gonna name off a few things," Gil said softly, hovering close but not too close. "You tell me what sounds good, okay?"
Thena nodded again. Maybe she wanted to tell him he didn't have to coddle her. Maybe she wanted to pretend everything was fine. Maybe she wanted to lie down on his floor and sob until Druig came to pick her up.
"Something to eat?" God, no, she couldn't bear the thought of food (not even Gil's). "Nap?...couch?"
Gil smiled as she nodded. He tilted his brows up at her, "want me to carry you?"
Thena's eyes watered, and it seemed as good as a 'yes' in Gil's eyes, because he didn't hesitate to scoop her up bridal style and carry her to his living room. She pressed her tears into his shirt. "I'm sorry."
"You have nothing to be sorry for," he said as sure as anything. He sat himself down, letting her curl up against him on his lap. He held her gently, but firmly.
"I didn't want..." Thena trailed off. There were a lot of things she didn't want, and having a panic attack in the middle of their date was definitely pretty high on that list.
"It's okay, Thena," Gil whispered, running his hand over her hair and holding her around the waist. "All that matters to me is that you're feeling better."
Thena sighed, burying her face against his shoulder again. He was perfect--too perfect. "Too good for me."
"No," he was quick to deny. He twisted her hair over her shoulder so he could bury his nose against the side of her neck. "You deserve to be taken care of, Thena."
She wished she felt that way.
"You are so important to me," Gil whispered against her cheek, leaving light kisses there. "I asked you out for the same reason I started saving lunch for you."
Thena pulled away now just to look at him curiously.
He smiled that same smile that had first stolen her heart back in the psych ward. It was warm, and gentle, and even when she'd been medicated to heaven and back, she'd been able to feel her heart beating faster at the sight of it. It was all the medicine she needed.
"I did it to see that smile," he said gently, running his thumb along her jaw line, as if to pull her lips into a smile like smoothing a crease out of a fitted sheet. Her smile did appear, and his doubled in size. "There it is!"
Thena let out a small, shaky, watery sounding laugh. But Gil pulled her closer, pressing a kiss to her forehead to express how pleased he was by it, no matter how fragile it was. She sighed, letting his warmth and the smell of his aftershave swim around in her head.
Gil let her take her time, happy to hold her--to have her safe in his arms. He nuzzled her gently, tapped his fingers against her leg, rubbed her back and petted her hair.
Thena pressed her forehead under his chin. "Druig asked me to go with him to tell our father and step-mother that he wanted--wants to propose."
Gil waited for her to go on at her own pace.
Thena resettled herself in his arms. He was so comfy. "I told him he shouldn't try to involve them, but I imagine he still has some slight desire to feel like a family."
"I agreed to go with him, but our father didn't take the news particularly well. He's always been hard on Druig, and this time his temper was just...I had never seen them like that."
Gil ran his fingers through her hair as her breath hitched.
"They were so angry, and they started shouting," she continued, voice pulled thinner until it was a whisper. "Ajak told them to stop, but it just made it worse. Druig isn't big enough to fight him."
Her sentences were becoming fractured again--something she hadn't been able to completely break herself of after being in the psych ward those three months.
"I was scared," she whimpered, and Gil responded by holding her tighter. "I thought they were going to kill each other."
"You got in between them?"
She nodded, and Gil's hand gripped her shoulder. It was just short of too tight, but she could imagine it wasn't pleasant to imagine for him. "I pulled our father off of Druig, clawing at him. He turned around and..."
Gil sucked in a breath through his nose and held it, but he said nothing. She had more to say, and he wasn't about to interrupt her.
"Ajak ended up calling the police," Thena regained some strength in her voice, deep, deep in the memory of the fateful night. "It was agreed that no charges would be pressed if Druig took some time off work, Father performed some community service, and I-"
"Got checked into the hospital?" Gil asked, sounding more baffled than when he'd guessed she had gotten involved in their fight. "Why were you the only one with that punishment?"
Thena shrugged. "I'm sure they were more likely to believe in my hysteria than their anger."
Gil scoffed.
"I suppose in fairness to them," Thena shrugged, "they did arrive to me telling our father I would kill him."
"Well," Gil shrugged as well to match her lighter tone, "it sounds like he deserved it."
Thena let out another - stronger - laugh. How as he so perfect.? She emerged from the memory to look at him properly. He brushed some hair back from her face and let the hand drift over her cheek. She leaned into his touch achingly. "I'm afraid it's not very pleasant. But that's how I ended up meeting you."
"Well, I hate to say anything good came of that," Gil mumbled, as if sharing a secret with her. "But...I'm still glad you ended up in my lunch line."
She laughed again, smiling through the last of her unshed tears.
"I guess that's pretty selfish of me," he whispered, still looking at her with those eyes and that smile--the only things that would bring her comfort when she was in that hellhole.
"It's okay," she whispered back, "you can be selfish."
Gil closed his eyes as she leaned forward to kiss his cheek.
"That wasn't the first time they'd ended up like that, just the worst of them," Thena continued, somewhat easier now. "I've always been spooked by shouting and loud noises ever since my father's first truly bad display of temper."
Gil just nodded, pulling her head against his again. There had been a scuffle in the crowd outside the cinema--that was what had triggered her. "I'm sorry."
Thena shook her head, pursing her lips. "Every time, I think I can move past it-"
"You don't have to," he gripped her shoulder. "I know you might not like it, but it's a part of you. And we don't have to like it all the time to accept it--that it comes with you as a package deal."
Thena wilted against him. "Are you sure you're not a therapist from the psych ward disguised as a cook?"
Gil laughed, his chest vibrating against her shoulder in a very comforting way. "Guess I've heard enough group sessions in the cafeteria to have picked up some things."
Thena stretched out in his embrace like a cat in front of a fire. She was positively worn out from all the events of the day. "You're perfect."
"No one's perfect," he corrected softly, "but I guess...I really want you to feel like you can be yourself around me."
Gil changed his position as well, lying on his side with her still curled up against him. He budged the throw pillow more under her head than his. "I know we didn't meet in a...traditional way."
What an understatement.
"But," he threaded their fingers together, his breath hitting her face as he whispered, "I want this to work, Thena. I want to be here to make you smile every single day--just once, if you don't want to too much."
Thena laughed, her forehead bumping against his in their proximity.
Gil inhaled, looking like her laughter was something that could be injected into his veins for energy. "Maybe a laugh once a day--it is the best medicine."
Thena, lying on her side, staring at this wonderful, perfect man, shook her head. He blinked at her denial, but she smiled so wide her cheeks hurt, "you."
Gil's eyes slid closed as she leaned forward, touching her lips to his ever so gently. He returned the kiss, soft and sweet as it was--nothing demanding or intense. Just a little exchange of affection. His eyes fluttered open and he had this dopey smile on his face.
Thena let her eyes drift down between them to their connected hands. She flexed them a little, to test if it was really real. But his fingers slid down to clasp around her hand more firmly.
Gil pressed a kiss to her forehead, "tired now?"
Thena nodded, shimmying to properly nestle herself into him.
Gil wrapped an arm around her, letting his hand spread over her back as if that alone could protect her from today and every one to come. "I'll be right here."
Thena smiled against his shirt, drinking in the scent of his detergent and the warmth of his arm around her. "Perfect."

Wellness Wednesday:
Blah...
Blah - that's how my week was and that's how I feel.
It's been a relatively chill week, but lack of sleep, muscle soreness in my neck, a change at work, and general hangriness has been tipping my scales slightly towards the negative.
Truly it wasn't a bad week - I had some PTO, ate some good pasta (a lot of pasta), did some fun reading, saw some family, played games, watched some great "television"... but something just feels off.
I've had muscle soreness before and the sleep thing been a thing for a while... but I feel out of sorts... I feel like I need to get out of my house and shake it up a bit, but do what, I don't know. See a movie? Play a game...?
I keep coming back to needing/wanting sleep.
Sleep... and Barbecue. I wanted burger and hotdog off the grill.
In other news I am on the hunt for movies and shows to stream. Received a few suggestions this week. Always looking for more.

So, I have no ideas to write yet, but I gotta post at least once to get requests. Here are my rules (and also just things to note before requesting) under 'keep reading'!
No smut. NSFW topics are allowed, and it can be slightly suggestive, but no actual sex.
If the request doesn't specify whether the relationship is supposed to be platonic or romantic, I'll leave it ambiguous.
If the request doesn't specify the reader's gender, I'll leave it ambiguous.
If the request doesn't specify whether they want headcanons or a fic, I'll write headcanons.
Romantic requests with the child food souls will be denied (Cold Rice Shrimp, Double Scoop, etc...). Platonic requests are allowed with them.
Anything I didn't mention here I will probably accept, but feel free to send an ask if you want to request something and you're still unsure!

So what would you think of an AU where MA reincarnates into a food soul (correct me if I'm wrong, but I remember a translation a while back saying it was possible for Food Souls to originate from a human one). It'd be interesting to see how they'd fit in with certain food souls after coming back, especially if they appear a different age (Like a Childlike Foodsoul MA who idolizes Boston and Peking, or likes hanging out with Double Scoop and Jello)
Ooooh, this sounds pretty cool! I think it would be pretty neat to see how an MA reincarnated as a Food Soul would work, makes me wonder if the FS that the Attendant summoned would remember them or not, or if that FS feels really familiar, kind of like an old friend whom you haven’t seen in a while or something like that.
It would be neat to see how everyone would interact with a Food Soul MA especially with whatever form the MA takes on both age wise and food wise.

(OC Origin Fanfic) Devastation
Here’s the origin fanfic for Maikila, well, at least for an extremey major event that shaped her into who she is today ^^
Would reccomend listening to this while reading, as this inspired this part of her backstory ^^
youtube
Somehow, despite my absolutely pounding head among other things, I did manage to finish this today instead of the masterlist, which is coming along nicely, working on B-52′s section first and it’s not too shabby if I don’t say myself :3
Anyway, I hope you like this ^^
It was a peaceful day for Maikila as she gathered nearby ingredients in the woods with her Spaghetti, the two laughing and bantering with each other with the ease of longtime friends.
“Hehe, mom and dad are going to be so surprised I got the jump on gathering ingredients early today!” Maikila giggled as she brushed her long silver hair with three braids behind her shoulder, chocolate eyes sparkling in the light. She had a backpack slung over her shoulder that was full of various ingredients she gathered.
“That they are, my dear attendant.” Spaghetti agreed with a smile, he had a backpack as well on one shoulder, his giant fork was strapped to his back as they walked back home.
“Oooh, I wonder what we can cook tonight! Maybe some of mom's brownie and cookies...” Maikila trailed off as she squinted to see between the trees, not seeing what she was supposed to be seeing. “The heck? Did mom cast an invisibility spell on the house?”
The closer she got, the more the pit in her stomach grew and she eventually began running, crashing through the foliage as fast as she could while Spaghetti scrambled to keep up. She skid to a stop once she reached the clearing where her home was with a gasp.
It looked like the cottage had been run over by a stampede, it was just piles of rubble where her home once stood. And underneath some rubble were her parents, limp and motionless.
“No, nononono...” She gasped as she dropped her backpack and scrambled over to them, shoving the rubble off them as quickly as she could and then shaking them. “Mom, dad, please wake up! Dad, mom, please, please! Wake up! Mommy! Daddy!” She felt tears falling down her cheeks as Spaghetti who had joined her at some point pulled her into an embrace, letting her cry into his chest as he looked around.
“Only a fallen angel or a group of them could have done this...” He mumbled upon surveying the wreckage, spotting a moving pile and knowing exactly who it was. “Nessy's still alive, that's good at least..”
Maikila sniffled before pulling out of his grip, walking over on shaking legs to the rubble and shoving as much of it as she could away as the Jiuniang coughed harshly while Spaghetti pulled her out from under the rubble.
“They just appeared out of nowhere, we tried to fight them off...” Nessy coughed, her long hair was now extremely short and looked burned, her cape and hood were missing too. “Everyone just, fell one by one....”
Maikila sniffled, bowing her head as her silver hair hung around her face as she shook, mind racing to figure out what to even think or do, before she took a sharp breath in, letting it out as she suddenly stood and strode over to a certain pile of rubble, shoving and kicking it away as Spaghetti scrambled over and helped her clear the rubble completely, feeling his master attendant's resolve through their link.
On the ground underneath the rubble was the summoning sigil, to which she wasted no time in stepping into the middle. “I call upon six of you to heed my call and aid me!” She called out, resolve clear in her voice as powerful magic swirled through the air.
Nessy gasped, hands flying to cover her mouth. “S-Summoning six without crystals is extremely dangerous! Y-Your parents warned you of that!”
“If I want to save those in danger I must take risks like these so they don't suffer like I have!” Maikila responded back, voice tinged with fresh pain and loss even as she fought against the fatigue the summoning was causing.
Six, no, seven food souls' figures began to form from blue sparks of light, very distinct in appearance, around the teen who stood in the center of the sigil. The first to burst into view was a tan young man with his bushy brown hair pulled into a puffy ponytail and wore casual clothes.
He looked like he was going to cheerfully greet her, but the words died in his throat as he took in the surroundings, as well as his Master attendant's feelings through the link as she smiled weakly at him.
“It's very nice to meet you Hamburger, I'm Maikila.” She greeted him as he nodded before going to stand by Spaghetti, who quietly began to tell him what was going on.
The next food souls appeared one by one, Mooncake, Salty Tofu, Vodka, the Double Scoop twins Vanilla and Strawberry, and Cloud Tea, they were all silent after taking in what surrounded them and knew the pain their attendant was going through.
After greeting all of her new food souls, she strode over to her parents' bodies, where a dagger was discarded on the ground which she snatched up. She kneeled on the ground, grabbing her free hair unbound by braids, with a swift motion she cut her hair really short aside from her braids with the knife.
Letting the cut hair fall to the ground, she stood and motioned her food souls to follow her as she made her way over to the stable, the one building still standing.
Upon entering, the horses began to panic, no doubt still frightened by what had happened earlier. Maikila rushed over with Spaghetti right behind her as they began to calm the horses, Nessy joining in to calm them down soon after.
With the new food souls' help, all five horses were saddled up, bags full of supplies and what they could salvage from the wreckage and the food souls as well as their master mounted, Spaghetti and Nessy on the same horse Maikila was on as they could fit, Vodka rode with Strawberry, Cloud Tea with Vanilla, Hamburger with Mooncake, and Cloud Tea with Salty Tofu.
They had the horses walk out of the stable, Maikila looking out over what was once her home, more tears falling before she shook her head, expression hardening with determination, and made her horse start running, her other food souls' horses soon following and keeping pace.
No matter what lay ahead, she swore she'd save anyone she could from having the same tragedy befall them as it did to her.

Henlo! It’s me again [sorry if I’m disturbing you in anyway ;-;]
Imagine, Yuu hanging out with the twst boys but “coincidentally” the younger food souls (Eggett, Double scoops, Matcha, Lion’s head) snatch their attention either accidentally getting hurt or innocently wanting to show something but ends up hogging Yuu’s attention while Yuu is focused on the young food soul, meanwhile the young food souls are either glaring, Sticking there tongue out, or giving a thumbs down
Hello 👋! Don't worry you not disturbing me. I like it when many people spare their time to send me an ask. Even though I take forever to respond to it if I'm busy...
Young food souls? This gonna be fun 😂. Oh and I think Matcha is not a child. He only has this short feature similar to Riddle.
The Young Food Souls vs 1st Year group.
The group of Young Food souls spying at this nasty group that flock around their master attendant.
"*pout* Mou! Master Attendant never plays with us again after that group takes over! It's not fair!" Pout Lion Heads.
"YES! This is not fair! Master attendant is our first before they come in!" Said Eggnete.
"Maybe..." Vanilla smile sinisterly before signaling the group to gather closer.
Meanwhile, the first-year group is having fun together with Y/n. They having a picnic under the tree and laughing around.
"Yeah... Yeah... Laugh all you want." Said Epel while stabbing his apple.
"To think that Dorm Leader Vil will do something like that just to make sure you stay in shape." Laugh Ace making Epel get angrier.
"WHAT DID YOU-" A scream pierced through the forest alerting the whole group.
"What is that?" Y/n asks warily. Soon from the bush emerged Y/n food souls.
"Vanilla? Strawberry? Lion? Eggnete? What happens?" You ask worriedly while the boys hug your waist tightly.
"There's a monster!!" Vanilla said hiccuping. The bush soon moved again and there emerged.... The squirrel.
"AHAHAHA! ARE YOU GUYS AFRAID OF SQUIRRELS?!" Ace laughs loudly and this makes the boys cried more loudly. You throw Ace a glare.
"There... There... Here, let's go back to the dorm and I make you some desserts, okay?" You said while walking away from the 1st year group.
"But Y/n... What about our picnic?" Ask Deuce.
"I'm sorry guys. Maybe we can pick another day? I need to tend to my food souls first. Let's meet again later." Y/n turn around so they didn't see how the Young Food souls look at the 1st year with a smug smile.
After, they gone from the 1st year view. A scream can be heard.
"THAT LITTLE RASCAL!!!"
