Upgrades 👀
I have a new site. I ran out of room on carrd! You can only have 50 elements and while I thought I would just pay for more, when faced with that option I realized I really didn't want to, so I decided to just move to wix.
Right now it contains much of the same info the carrd had, but I plan to add more. If you're interested in the Webs Archival Project, I have an ever updating list of sites to be archived on it.

so this is a blast from the past.
anyone from kugyay on here still? Cat, wolf, neko.. I was on a site before kugyay.. that I really loved but I can't remember the name of it then I moved to bryniel. On neko I was ciley rae and havic rose.. ciley had a bf who irl ( so he said) was in the hospital.. I only seen him random late hours of the night or for a little while here and there on weekends.. to be honest I think about him a lot.
I was a ton of wolves HAHA!
Then on cat kugyay/bryniel I was known as Driftingsmoke, cinderclaw, smokecloud (deputy of windclan) frozenblaze, icebreath, shadow of a dangerous eagle and I also have prCinderella,
Honestly went down a rabbit hole tonight of nostalgia and I miss my friends 😅 what a time it was. I would relive it if I could.

Ever since I started doing data entry 8 hours a day, my typing has improved IMMENSELY.
Like I was already a lightning-fast typist. Last time I checked before I started this job, sometime around 2015, I typed 180 words in a minute 30 seconds. (Granted, they were words I knew by heart because I was typing the lyrics to my favorite Evanescence song, but that also included a lot of pressing Enter.)
So typing speed: 120wpm. I can Sustain that, too.
(It came from writing long-form fanfiction and typing it up to post online, and writing long comments on my favorite fanfictions by others, and writing essays and character analysis on fan forums and FreeWebs pages, and writing essay-length comments on deviantArt and rping and-- I have done a Lot of typing since I was 11 years old, okay.)
But I used to have to look for certain letters, like Q and Y and X. Just the ones I didn't use often.
But now I know where they are by touch-typing! I type a bit differently from how you're taught in school, especially on punctuation. But my typing is a lot more fluid and smooth now because I KNOW where they are! I don't have to Glance Down to Find Them anymore! I know by heart that N is to left of M!
(The expense for this knowledge is tendonitis in four of my fingers. :S But it probably doesn't help that I have to Click A Lot, too, because despite the whole Section 508 thing, the DOL internal websites don't always have great keyboard navigation...)

Maybe I'm talking out my ass here, but I think the way websites work these days feel oppressive towards neurodivergent folk.
All these ads surrounding every bit of text that make it hard to read, not to mention how it can lead to sensory overload, making important articles inaccessible to people with autism, ADHD, OCD, psychosis, etc.
There's also fake links and scams that neurodivergent folk can fall for easily, especially scam GoFundMe campaigns that target empathetic people, we know people with autism, down syndrome, OCD etc are more likely to feel the injustices of the world, making us more empathetic and more willing to donate to a good cause, the fact that it's hard for us to know when someone's lying makes it harder too.
Web 2.0 got rid of forums, easy website builders Geocities and freewebs, search engines are almost completely useless to anyone even if you're not neurodivergent but we might click the top sponsored results more than neurotypical folk.
We've been kicked out of the homes we built for ourselves, and it all comes down to people making money from us, with ads, with mobile games that give us a dopamine rush and make sure we pay to keep playing, even things like buying a domain name is so much more expensive now because sites like GoDaddy have a monopoly, my domain for my art blog is something like $40 a year, it was nowhere near that much when I bought it, and I remember an old domain I had as a teen that only cost around $7 a year through Yahoo.
I know the topic of web 2.0 being bad is ancient now, but I haven't seen many people talk about it's affects on neurodivergent folk, so, yeah.
Thanks for coming to my TED talk.

Nonnie, "back in the old days" (old woman yells at cloud) email was THE way to rp! You'd make a junk email because back then, they didn't want your phone number or a backup email or a DNA sample, and then you'd post it on whatever site you were using to find your partners. A lot of us used freewebs because it was easy to customize our own sites with rules, plots, etc. (The fun part was getting traffic to your freewebs site. I learned to roleplay on Neopets, and they did NOT like you directing anyone offsite, so we had to get creative with telling people where to find our information.)
There were also occasional mass emails that would go out. Someone compiled a lot of roleplay emails somewhere and started emailing ads out that way, and you'd either respond or you'd delete the email. If you sent one out yourself, you were part of the chain forever. 😂 If I had access to any of those old emails, I'm sure there are still some mass emails sitting in the box.

just curious about p-shifting. if you don’t mind me asking, how would one go about beginning the p-shifting journey?
Ah, my first ask! Alright, this might be a tad bit long, so sorry if it's missing something important.
To begin your p-shifting journey, most shapeshifters recommend finishing mental shifting, which is basically the ability to shift your mindset into one of an animals. I haven't even p-shifted yet, but I've had a few experiences getting close to doing it, with the help of a forced guided meditation.
If you arent aware yet, shapeshifting is similar to avians and mermaids - it is a lifelong dedication, and can take years to complete. The most important part of ever starting out is learning more about the topic at hand (so you will have to do your research!) And figuring out what you are. When I first started I believed I was a fox with wings because of a spell my sister found. As I learned more, more options became available to me and I eventually settled on a cougar, which has been something I've stuck to for about three years now.
The main method most people who want to p-shift into an animal use PhmP, or mental, phantom, and physical.
To p-shift, you have to shift everything - mental, phantom, astral, metaphysical, etc. And the method that has been used by people from the past has been proven to work, which is why it is still taught to younger members.
I emphasize the fact in learning as much as you can about shapeshifting, the different methods available to you, theories, databases, and more so that you have a good understanding of what you are getting into.
In the end p-shifting is a goal that most shapeshifters and others alike want, and some of us may decide we are happy not to p-shift at all, or find out we are actually humans, or are just therians instead. During this time it will be a huge learning curve for many, and be honest with yourself. Ask yourself hard questions and try new things if you can.
I can't promise you your journey will be short, for some it can be as short as a year, and some it can be over 5 years. It all depends on your dedication, persistence, and really just experimenting.
A lot of places that are good for finding information is on sites that are hosted from FreeWebs, (now known as Webs), the old google sites, old pack sites, amino, and maybe some other places if you can find any. You may find a bit just from looking up "how to become a werewolf", or some old pack names.
Thank you for the question anon! I'll try my best to answer anything else if you have any other questions. Cheers!
