This affects the built-in Markup app for all models from Pixel 3 through Pixel 7.

Images uploaded to Discord before January 2023 have not been sanitized against this.

psa for pixel phone users...

if you're on a pixel phone and have the march 2024 update, you may be receiving delayed calls/texts. for calls, the person calling you will go straight to voicemail. for texts, you may not receive them for hours or days.

some users report that rebooting fixes the issue for a few hours. at the very least, text messages seem to get through on reboot.

as of writing (2024-04-17) there is no official fix for this issue.
