a/n: I had an awful day today and needed some comfort, so I decided to write some hurt/comfort headcanons with my comfort character Spencer Reid.

☆Spencer Reid, who doesn't judge you if he sees new self-inflicted wounds, the only thing he asks is: "Come to me next time you feel like this, please?" looking at you with his big brown puppy eyes.

☆Spencer Reid, who rambles about the benefits of oxytocin (the hug hormone) while you two lay cuddled up on the couch, knowing his voice helps you calm down and find yourself again in that hectic mind of yours.

☆Spencer Reid, who strokes your hair while you lay on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

Hey I challenge you, if you’ve been struggling with something physical, trouble at work, relationship complications etc, give yourself the night off. I’ve titled myself your friendly manager and this is your approved time off. You have the night to not think of or acknowledge those things. Just be you, be at peace, get some rest, eat some food. Have a night for just you and your thoughts

God acknowledges that we may experience seasons of great abundance or great loss. We can experience great joy or great pain. But the beautiful thing of all is this:

None of these seasons or experiences is wasted; God can use everything we experience and make it beautiful. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

No matter what season you're in; whether it is lack or abundance, remember that God is with you. He loves you and everything you experience is meant to grow you closer to Him.

Cling tight to Him, whatever your season. There is a time for everything.

When your day goes "wrong" how do you handle it?

A new day can bring on a new set of emotions, new set of troubles, or a new set of joy. And we shouldn't always expect for the new day to be like yesterday. We can’t expect it to go as smoothly as it did yesterday, and we can’t bask in yesterdays joy, because it is gone. Today is where we reside. Today is where we are currently at. If you wake up today and your morning or day doesn’t go as good as yesterday, that’s okay. That’s a part of life. Things change constantly. We can not force everything to stay the same because we do not have the power to do so. So instead of giving up on today, keep pushing through until the end and hope for better to come. The only thing we can control, is how we handle our emotions in regards to the day-to-day change. Will you cause yourself to continue to have a bad day just because it started that way or will you stop, pray, and tap into the strength that Christ has given you to keep your head up and to be hopeful for a good outcome. Everyday is a gift from God. He didn't have to wake us up this morning. At the end of the day, it’s up to you on how well your day will go. Ill be the first to admit when my day doesn’t start off that great, I mope around dang near for the whole day until I realize that my mopping is a form of complaining, and I don’t want to complain when God has given me the gift of a new day.
