you know 99.99% of the time when a character is "the attractive one" in american tv or movies it doesnt work bc every other person on screen is also extremely conventionally attractive so it always feels a little silly that the rest of the cast is pretending this one person is so much hotter than them and out of their league bc there's always at least 6 other people who are equally if not more attractive than "the attractive one". but in challengers it actually works because that's zendaya

people who complain about how "there are no straight people on tv anymore! it's all lgbt! that's not how it was back in my days!" have clearly never watched Torchwood cause i swear there's not one straight person in this show and it aired in 2006

Something that amuses me greatly is when an anime character with artichoke-like or some other gravity-defying, ridiculous looking hairdo is revealed to style the hair that way. Especially when the same series has other characters with similar gravity-defying hairstyles who are simply born looking that way. So you just assume some level of anime logic is going on, and don't question it until said guy comes out of the shower / bath with the flattest, longest and most normal hair you've ever seen, and for a sec it looks like a wholly new character until you realize it's artichoke dude with his hair down and ungelled. It's so funny. Gets me every time. Like, I can excuse shitty hairdos if it's just a character design choice, but to know a guy threw on half a bottle of hair gel to look like he stuck a fork in a electric socket? Instant loserboi energy. There's no coming back from that

i know that atsv and spiderverse in general is probably not including Gabe for various reasons and therefore when Mig took his alt selfs place he wasnt actually leaving anyone behind. he said something along the lines of “i found a universe where i was happy” which kinda screams that something was fucked up with his home one, i’d like to think more than usual because the other explanation is that he just left like all his family behind. Which is extremely messed up but also on the other hand a little funny
like imagine being gabe here. Imagine your older brother fucks off to another universe because of his depression and comes back with even worse depression ranting some shit about canon events. You have to be told where he went by his AI because god knows your brother has all the communication skills of a rusty spoon. Have to be told he fucking left with no intention of coming back

Jamie Jamphibian is such a good DM. like this last episode, and how the dream gives us like a bit of lore while also including a funky game dynamic?? so cool. Jamies ability to let us, the audience know more about the characters while also engaging the player is sos so good. Their worldbuilding, and just general storytelling capability is incredible. Cantripped is such a good dnd podcast and its in no short part thanks to how good a DM Jamie is.

You literally spent three hours having an ENTIRE SCHOOL (teachers included) slut-shaming a guy just for him to be a (spoiler).

there's this phenomenon i've seen talked about where a product is finally being created for a market that wasn't previously being served, and the first response to it being an expectation of moral perfection, especially when the market in question is marginalized in some way (as women are in general, but especially in the world of sports). the product is held to a higher standard than the counterpart that serves the non-marginalized because people are projecting a sense of morality onto the product that they don't with the counterpart because the counterpart is (wrongfully) seen as neutral or apolitical because it represents the non-marginalized.
i'm not by any means saying everyone should shut up and take what they can get, but the threats of specifically boycotting over things that wouldn't result in any comparable amount of pushback if they happened in the nhl (which can actually afford to withstand a boycott and where changes made by a boycott would have a much bigger impact) is worth examining to me. also i don’t know how productive it is toward making the world a better and more inclusive place. is an approach to punishing one single individual having a net positive benefit when the approach could also harm women's sports at large. sometimes it feels like people just want to have a strong reaction in the moment because it makes them feel like a good person

We know Kipperlilly hated the Bad Kids but how are we defining 'hate'? This is a longshot but what if she wasn't actually planning on targeting them personally for death etc. until that first meeting in the cafeteria? Because she approached them with serene grace then and for awhile after despite BLeeM's amazing acting it making it visibly clear she was struggling to not respond negatively to the bullying. Sure, she arranged for Frosty Fair to be held at the Thistlespring's, but we now know that wasn't about Gorgug at all and he may not have been personally in danger from what they were attempting. Maybe she even expected Kristen would be grateful for reuniting Cassandra with Ankarna.
Of course, I don't think Cassandra wanted to be reunited with Ankarna, Ankarna is obviously evil and all of this is evil, but what if the Rat Grinders have been hoodwinked this whole time, or at least up until a recent point of no return? Yolanda and the Loams could have died purely from Ankarna filling them with too much rage, it's possible the RGs had no intentional part in making that happen.
So like, what if Kipperlilly obsessively hated the Bad Kids, yes, but was on at least some level aware it was irrational? Because she'd gone all these years without blowing-up or striking out at them at all, maybe she knew to some extent that her hatred was disproportionate if only in regards to what they personally did wrong, right up until she finally had a face-to-face conversation with them and one of them literally entered the election just to keep her from winning?
The only crease to this is that for as much as Brennan has been desperately trying to signal to the IHs that Kipperlilly isn't Solace Hitler, and partly because of that, it's unlikely Euegnia is intended to be wrong when she speculates that Mazey only isn't dead for practical reasons and describes Kipperlilly finding her as holding her grave hostage.

The Dndads finale campaign was great and intense and i have ThoughtsTM but i have a personal subjective moral aversion to 'decades later epilogue where everything is great actually we promise' as a narrative device
therefore if i ever write anything post- Willy Death it will purpousefully and spitefully refute at least ONE thing from the epilogue because Anthony Burch will not All Was Well me
