funniest thing that ever happened was intelligent systems being like “alright we’re gonna give selena/severa a canonically love interest whos a rip off of her mom and also a daughter whos somehow even more of a ripoff of her mom” and then nobody moved. everyone saw it and was like “oh i guess” and then nobody gaf. selena/subaki was soooo common it somehow circled back into being a rarepair. fantastic. any selbaki shooters out there hmu i wanna know what thats like
#ann plays fates#im just not sure i know anyone that likes those two specifically as a couple and didnt just pair them cuz#‘well. canon hair color for daughter + extra paralogue and support lines for selena yahoo!’#and its like. the funniest part is that the selena subaki support chain isnt even bad#i dont think its fates’s best work by any means but its pretty good they mesh pretty well as people#but somehow in the attempt to make a semi canon couple they forgot the uh. the. romantic chemistry 😭#also the fucked up freudian stuff of selena marrying someone who looks like her mom is 😭😭😭#or maybe not looks like her mom. more just ‘reminds her of her mom’ which could be worse#i actually like the two together its nowhere near my favorite for either of them#but i too have paired them many times for the ‘canon’ness of it all#im just always shocked by how little content there is for it.#it does feel a little mean to selena tho. and kind of… not. helpful to her character arc? just a weird canon pick all around.#personally if i must pair subaki with a woman im pickin beruka or nyx tho#and if i gotta pair selena with a man she arrives with the other two stooges so. also leo i like her with leo.

#death note#l lawliet#trad art#got out the paint pens bc they’re so crisp#that black pen makes my shaky hands very noticeable but whatever#u get the scribbly guy since i cannot smooth my lines via procreate w/o a working pen#i have so many of these paint pens tho i don’t even think i used all of the blue ones#they all are very little tho#they’re the posca .7mm ones but i think i’d use them more if i got the 1.8 or thicker ones#my hands are shaky and my eyes are bad so it’d be easier if i could get bigger pens#i have a couple but they are all neon bc i like bright colors#and since i'm talking paint pens anyway i found an absolute beast of a pen#i literally have to fist it to hold it it's massive. i mean. i do have little hands but it's still massive#the ball in it literally clunks when i shake it rather than the little quiet noises of the other ones#its fucking massive i forgot i had it it is awesome i think i probably got it to color things in fast bc it's a massive wedge tip

#wondering how &/or why i made this? well because i needed to keep myself awake today and also wanted to practice using the sketchbook app on#my phone. as for how: i actually traced the original sprite#then colored in the hair by hand. in the middle of that though the quality suddenly got annihilated and i hadn't saved in a while#so i just decided screw it. i finished the pink highlights by hand then used the color picker/paint bucket tools to fill in the rest of the#coloring (which i was originally planning to do also by hand). then i opened a new sketch & drew the symbol on his shirt and layered that#on top (idk why but i thought that would be easier than trying to trace it and i...think i was right? either way i like how it turned out!)#then i just cleaned it up a bit- retraced some of the lines and such. and *then* right before i went to finally post it i realized i forgot#the red squares on the right side of his jacket. so i just spent the last hour or so adding those#i was also gonna add a bit of shading too but i'm fucking burnt out at this point so screw that lmao#honestly it doesn't really matter i'm very VERY happy with how this turned out :)#nagito komaeda#danganronpa#sdr2#🖌 tag#🍄 tag#send tweet
