Do you have an idea for your own Darkwing Duck arc?

I love your artwork especially the one with Drake and LP fishing! It looks straight out of a watercolor graphic novel. You’ve got the facial expressions of Drake’s grumpy but endearing personality down to a T.

As for the question, that's interesting to think about. I don't often think about more potential stories for the Darkwing universe, aside little bits and pieces here and there (mainly a long overdue holiday for the mallard family that doesn't result in fighting crime–they deserve a little break, I think about that cruise Dw wanted to take Lp on in 'All's Fahrenheit in love and war' all the time )

BUT.

There is ONE potential thing I wish was explored and that's a final/ third showdown with Taurus Bulba. I've rambled on about it in a previous post, but Bulba is such an important villain in the show–having a genuine impact on the cast. Not to mention at the end of 'The Steerminator', Bulba says something along the lines of 'This isn't the last you'll see of me', INTENDING we'd get to see more, but that never happened.

I think it would've been very interesting to conclude the story of Taurus Bulba, especially with how 'The Steerminator' ended. We were shown that both Darkwing and Gosalyn struggled with his return, both having a moment of panic when seeing him (which is sososo interesting)

BUT ALSO. Before he became part robot, he was a lot more rational and calculated–which in some way made him a lot more dangerous than let's say megavolt. He's already a lot more threatening than any other villain of the show. But in 'The Steerminator', he's lost parts of himself, being a lot easier to anger, he acts more on impulse. But he's a lot stronger physically. Pairing that with Darkwing's fear of getting Gosalyn hurt or worse, (and kind of dying himself) + Gosalyn's trauma regarding him–it would be incredibly interesting to see just how'd they'd deal with him for a third time. To deal with Taurus Bulba whose only goal is to get to Darkwing and potentially succeed because of how much he knows about them; their fears and weaknesses.

I really do think it could have been such a cool way to end the show, or just have an episode regarding Bulba's final arc and explore Dw's and Gosalyn's characters further. (I know Bulba appears in the comics, but I'm not really counting those here.)

Not much else, though I do wonder what the transition period looked like for Drake after the Darkly Dawns the Duck. He'd spent so long alone, lowk isolating himself (man didn't even have a house 😮‍💨) and suddenly he lived in a neighborhood with a family? I believe that would've been difficult, ESPECIALLY for him. He's shown throughout the show that he finds people to be difficult to be around, not to mention his tendencies to overwork and disconnectment from the identity of 'Drake Mallard' (a clash reunion reference to where he lost his mask. He doesn't particularly value himself without the costume due to years of being unimportant and hardly acknowledged) and in 'Water Way to Go' he claimed to "get manically depressed on the weekends" (do what u will with that)

I know cartoon wise, they wouldn't explore that aspect of Drake re-adjusting to civilian life again, but I still like to imagine it. I think Drake's character is soso interesting and that little period specifically could have been intriguing. I don't think I've come across any fic delving into that yet either 😞.

(bonus detail: Drake actually didn't have his temper as a child. In his backstory episodes, he doesn't really possess it. In clash reunion he is kinda full of himself, but he's not angry to the point of lashing out at someone. This flaw only develops after he'd become an adult and lived in the tower alone for who knows how long 💀)

For the headcanons game, perhaps an AU where when Eobard goes to kidnap Eddie in s1, Barry gets to that bridge just a teeny bit quicker and saves Eddie (by Eobard kidnapping him instead)

YES. WHUMP. This is absolutely not something I really really hoped would happen when first watching the episode at the ripe age of 9. Nope. I was a completely normal child.

Ah. Remember when Eobard took a blood sample from Farooq, saying he’d love to know how he was able to steal the Flash’s speed. And that plotline went nowhere? Whelp, that would not be the case in this universe. Because of this, Eo wouldn’t need to keep Barry in Star labs which —alongside simply not having a speedster to search— will make rescue a lot more difficult. He also knows what he's doing, knows how to hack and deactivate all the trackers and tech in Barry's suit to ensure he won't be found.

This situation forces Eddie or Joe to tell Iris Barry’s the Flash (hell, Eddie may just yell “Barry!” When he’s taken and that gives it away) and she's going to be pissed. Like canon, they don't/can't report Barry as missing, and with him out of commission; Thawne doesn’t need to send Grodd, which means they can just focus on finding him. It would be even more tense for everyone because Wells/Thawne taking Barry actually makes sense which is somehow scarier than the alternative of the kidnapping being random. They’re just hoping they can find Barry before a man who hates him enough to kill his mom when he was 11— kills him too.

Meanwhile, Barry is not doing great because Thawne isn’t particularly worried about meeting his food calorie needs; just making sure he doesn’t die of starvation. Plus, Thawne isn’t keen on giving him information about, well, anything. “Why the hell am I here?" "What’s happening with my friends?" "What are you working on over there, I can’t turn my head enough to see it—" etc. These questions, of course came after empty threats, a lot of shouting, and probably the threat of a gag if he wasn’t quieter. The cherry on top, Thawne was acting weird towards him, lingering a little too close for a little too long. Rescue really couldn't come sooner.

Eobard figured out a way to replicate Farooq's powers to not just deprive Barry of his speed-- but transfer it to himself so he can run home. Luckily for him, Barry's compliance isn't needed, unluckily for him; it will take a few days to a week for Barry to be completely drained. Luckily for Barry, that gives his friends time to find him, unluckily for him... the process is extremely exhausting and painful.

Cisco doesn't even realize what was happening, just that one second, his hand was on the mannequin where Barry's suit would normally sit, and the next second-- the world had gone blue and Barry was there in front of him; tied to a chair with his eyes squinted shut and watering. He wouldn't normally trust whatever that was, but with no other leads and days flying past far too quickly; he decides to tell the team what he saw.

Two possible timelines: 1. Cisco is able to hone his powers enough to get Barry's location and they arrive just in time... or 2. just too late.

I know you like the Marauders and Snape and that's really reliving since I like them both too and I really do want to talk about the Marauders with someone but there's few people I feel comfortable talking about them because not everyone wants to talk about their complicated (not fluff) sides.

So some Marauders headcanons I have:

I don't believe the whole "Sirius was good inside and therefore he knew his family was wrong" stuff somehow, so I think it's more likely that Sirius originally wasn't opposed but then he got sorted into Gryffindor, ostracized, but then James took him under his wing.

Sirius and Remus seriously idealize James, because he did a lot of good for them and their lives started seriously sucking after he died.

Remus probably started being a people pleaser after the werewolf prank, because it was shown that the Marauders don't actually care about him and are willing to hurt him and they won't face consequences and Sirius didn't regret it, so he molded himself so that Sirius never felt motivated to do that again.

Sirius involved Remus in the prank as a form of punishment for something Remus did.

I think when 11 year old Sirius first came to Hogwarts, his relationship with his fam wasn’t the greatest but he still loved them and felt sort of indebted to them (this might also explain the quote: [Sirius’s response to James insulting Slytherin] “Sirius did not smile. ‘My whole family have been in Slytherin’ he said”). But as the years went by and Sirius became more extreme in his hatred of Slytherin House and his family’s beliefs, the drift in his relationship with his brother and parents became much bigger.

I disagree. He has always been a people pleaser, due to his self-hatred and his need to be accepted. He felt like he owed James and Sirius something, hence why he kept quiet about the pranks they pulled that he didn’t always agree with. Pottermore says this as well.

I disagree with this too. I think it was, to an extent, the total opposite of that. He completely dismissed Remus’s feelings and used Remus’s darkest secret for his own amusement, he put Remus in a terrifying position without considering how Remus might’ve felt if the prank had actually succeeded. I think that was what made the prank truly hurt — the fact that Sirius genuinely did not care about Remus’s wellbeing at all. I personally think that was possibly the most hurt Remus had ever been. It wasn’t just about Snape and Sirius wanting to pull a mean prank on him, it was about Remus. Not only did Sirius have no problem almost getting someone murdered (Snape), but he also didn’t even think twice to consider what he was putting Remus through and what would’ve happened to him if he actually killed Snape. And the fact that Sirius went on to say “I wish it was the full moon again” when he was bored (aka “I wish it was that night of the month where one of my best friends has to go through an extreme amount of pain just so I can run around in my little doggie form and have fun while my friend isn’t in his right mind and could kill anyone that crosses his path”) in front of Remus mere months after literally exploiting his condition further shows how little Sirius actually cared about what he had done. (I ain’t even gonna mention how adult!Sirius talked about the situation.)

Hi!!! omg thank you for the question, and people like you make posting art worth it! This is gonna be a long rambling answer so I'll tuck it under the cut. ❤

BEGINNING:

When I think of Emrys and Solas' relationship at the start of Inquisition (like Haven times), her view of him started off pretty neutrally. She saw him as an equal in intellect and magic know-how, and it comforted her to know that she wasn't the only elf in the party. I can imagine her developing a bit of a crush during their discussions about history, magic, or the Fade, but she kept her feelings on a short leash. His opinions about the Dalish made her more reserved about her own feelings, as she wanted someone who would accept all of her, rather than just the parts he liked. I think she saw through his harmless old man persona quite early, even if only in the sense that he was hiding something that he wasn't comfortable sharing. She liked the parts that he thought no one could see, like his quiet kindness. They would clash a few times (both being prideful), and after their intense debates, she would think they were finally going to do something about this weird energy, but he would just walk away. So in short, their dynamic was "nerds arguing but with sexual tension".

SKYHOLD:

This is where whatever icy barriers they had against each other melted and became real love :'). Though aware that he's still holding her at arm's length, she thought their love would get through whatever came their way. I think they have a lot of conversations about this subject, but he always finds some way to steer the conversation elsewhere.

I think she was caught completely unaware when he ended things at Crestwood. She was mad, confused, heartbroken, literally everything and more. The dialogue option "Tell me I was some casual dalliance..." gets me every single time!!!! It's the perfect mix between hurt and anger, and it fits Emrys' character SO well. After the break up, she tries to be professional (AKA too stoic & serious around him) but her inner circle (and Solas) can see how much she's imploding inside. She still works with him as a colleague but she can't stand looking at him without feeling like there's a gaping hole in her chest.

TRESPASSER - VEILGUARD:

After two years, the gaping hole heals into an ugly, knotted scar. When she hears the rumour that Solas is around, it feels bittersweet, cause how can you get over a relationship that ended like that? When she learns he's Fen'harel, it puts a lot of things into perspective. She feels toyed with, she hates him, but she still loves him. Like... two years of "healing" is undone with a short meeting, and a part of her will always wonder what could have been if he just talked to her about it. In the end I chose the "I will redeem you!" ending.

Honestly, I imagine that a lot of solavellan post-romance is just a lot of healing and breaking on both ends (Solas and Emrys). With every new piece of information they learn, their hearts need to learn how to mend all over again. And I'm not saying that Emrys is going to be a husk in all those years between DAI and DATV, but a part of her will feel rubbed raw during that time. It's hard to say right now but I picture her on a relentless search for the Dread Wolf, always inquisitive. As for Veilguard, I can see Emrys as bone-tired when she finally catches up to him. I'd like to imagine a sad embrace between the two, some tears, but a terse meeting is just as likely. Between the two of them, there's gonna be a lot of quiet yearning and sadness, and maybe even a small bit of hope? She'd still love him and we all know/like to think that Solas is still so down bad, but they'd put duty over talking about their feelings for now. I think when they finally have a truly private moment, they make up somehow. I truly hope they have some kind of happy ending, whatever it may be!

What's your favorite thing about Samsie (Susie x Sammy) • ♡

The best thing about Samsie to me is how I imagine they work off each other! Both have very different personalities. Which can be helpful sometimes.

(This is completely from my perspective of the characters btw): Susie is cheerful, laid-back, kind, and a sometimes self-doubtful of herself. While Sammy is more reserved, reclusive, uptight, and very much confidant (especially in his work). I can see their personalities complimenting each other. Susie knows how to bring out Sammy out his shell, help him loosen up and have fun. While Sammy can help Susie with her confidence and lift her up more when she's unsure about something or herself. The two are just so cute to me! Plus I mean musician x va/singer-- they be jamming to music in the recording studio together for sure💕❤🎶

hi love💝 so 'tartaglia' is the name he goes by in the fatui, that‘s what everyone knows him as while 'childe' is his code name (or title) also in the fatui.

you can see it like this, every harbinger has a name and a code name (or title) they get referred to as. see for example:

il dottore (name) while 'the doctor' his title or codename

scaramouche (name) while 'the balladeer' his title or codename

tartaglia (name) while 'childe' his title (or codename, whatever you want to call it)

though .. childe‘s real name is ajax, that‘s his government name👹👹👹👹👹👹 BAHAH so aside from everything, tartaglia and childe are both names given by the fatui to him while ajax is the name his parents gave him, so the real one💝

I'm so pleased you've asked this! 🥹 I know it's hard to commit to an event - especially when I can't make proper guidelines until the From is through 💀- so questions like this are invaluable.

The way I've decided is most manageable will be to put all our names in a randomiser. I will start by randomising those who will be OK going first or last and continue by taking the first and last person and putting them aside to randomise the rest of the names together.

This will create the event's "Timeline", as I've been referring to it as. I'll go in afterwards and add each person's estimated start date and end date and send out that list to everyone - however! I will not finalise the list until a few days later because I'll wait for those who may have conflicts to reach out to me - once I'm certain everyone is satisfied with their timeframes, I will share the list again. It shall stand as the event's official Timeline.

Now, on the very possible chance something may come up for a participant that leaves them unable to work within their selected timeframe, I'll reach out to all the remaining people and see if we can make a quick and painless swap. If this does not work, I'll check in with the final person and see if they won't mind moving their portion back to accommodate our wayward friend!

I will do everything in my power to make it so everyone who wants to participate can. But, if there does come a situation that can't be altered or adjusted, we will unfortunately have to continue on without them. The chain must go on!

But please don't fret! We can always host another exquisite tomarrymort corpse down the line 🥹

I saw from a post about how many asks you have and I was wondering why not just answer one ask then use that as your daily post? (I'm pretty sure you post daily from my memory)

I'm not a writer so apologies if I sound a bit rude or oblivious. But I think you don't do that because it might get tiring to write an in-character response each day.

I'm actually an Insane Person and ideally would be posting hourly/bi-hourly, if only I ever found enough content to queue up in such a manner,,

But, basically the delays can be summed up in three parts: tired or busy (lumping these together as one problem), no idea how to respond just yet (or respond in a way that satisfies me,) or I have ideas but they're art based and take more time.

I do have some wips for some art answers saved I think, but I've got, like, a single commission remaining on my docket and I refuse to let myself do other art until it's finished (barring one sketch I did for the sake of my sanity.... I cannot stress enough how much of a fight it is to get myself to do full shading and backgrounds 💀 mistakes were made.)

Now, admittedly, it's been a minute since I took a crack at writing out some more thoughtful or lengthy responses for some of the asks I've gotten- so far as I recall, at least- but the dissatisfaction problem is Extremely Real. No joke, I've had an ask sitting in my queue for several months now because I was like "yeah this is good enough," queued it, and then just before it could post I was overcome with an Intense distaste for it. I really liked the question and thought I could do better. (And still clearly have not done better....) Writing Kim honestly comes really naturally to me, and I could never really get tired of it, but sometimes an ask throws a curveball at me in a way that I just really cannot quite wrap my head around responding to. Other times, I get asks that I just can't let myself answer in a subpar manner- either the ask itself or the implications of the answer I concoct end up mattering too much to me, so I get super in my head about finalizing the reply.

And then me being tired is just a skill issue. (I'm joking; this only applies to like the last month or so, but I actually started taking some new medications recently that have been messing with me just a little in this respect. Sometimes I get tired, and when they DO give me the pep to do things, I've admittedly been trying to direct that energy into getting my life together lol)
