And now for one of my favorite tropes: A not so masculine boy & a not so feminine girl. It is quite literally perfect. Screw societal gender roles these fuckers do what they want!!! Nikki’s tomboyish and adventurous and fucking loves getting dirty. Preston on the other hand is damn near the opposite!! Okay, maybe I’m biased, which I could very well be, I know (don’t really care though lol), but imo Andy is such a flawless li without being boring. You know how there’s a tendency for “perfect” characters to just be boring because that’s literally their whole personality? Well, it’s not like that with him.

He is kind and sweet and will literally kiss the ground you step on, yes, but you also get to know how he learns to be like that. He is snarky and mischievous and loves to have a little laugh. He has a naughty side to him, yet is so respectful about everything. It doesn’t make him boring that he doesn’t want to get into fights over you, he just genuinely doesn’t see the point in getting into drama for the sake of drama because he believes you can decide for yourself what you want. And that doesn’t mean he loves you any less because he absolutely worships you, and everything that you say, and completely has your back every time, and cheers you on by your side, but doesn’t butt into your own arguments. (This is how you become a feminist, Eddie, it’s not just about putting it into your insta bio - watch and learn!)

Idk, there’s just something so human about him, maybe because I’m surrounded by a lot of people like that irl, so I just immediately feel very safe and comfortable - like a familiar environment?
