Might be getting too into philosophy here but love, in Christianity, is generally regarded as being inherently pure and holy. Its the greatest virtue. Typically angels are made from love, and demons are angels who have lost God's love. Going off of Paradise Lost, (which was an influence for GO) angels CAN experience love, but not quite in the same way humans do, and demons can't experience it at all. Eros is essential for humans but angels don't need it, and for demons it's twisted and corrupted into lust, a sin. That's generally the agreement. I think when Crowley thinks of love his first thought is about God. Demons have lost God's love and are unforgivable, forgiveness is an act of love, he rejects love the way he refuses to be forgiven. Romantic love might be like imagination; something he unknowingly picked up from his time among humans.

see, im a little conflicted on this - not at all to invalidate any of what you've said, not at all - but im firmly in the camp of not devoutly referring to any texts that inspired GO to actually analyse or parse out GO themes and narratives, if that makes sense. ie, for me personally, if it's not explicit or even implicit in the GO canon, it's up to interpretation... if at all interested, might be worth checking this out which talks about inspiration for GO but not necessarily following it as the blueprint; it was worded far better than i could put it.

but you're right, paradise lost is obviously a significant inspiration for GO. now, ive only read PL once (at like 15? for school) so bear with me on this, ive had to reacquaint myself with it slightly. my recollection of the theme of love in PL is exactly as you've said; that the wider concept of love is what is experienced by angels, that it's virtuous and divine, directly gifted by god, and is embodied in the angels specifically, but also represented through the eventuality of jesus' self-sacrifice. but the element of romantic love, or at least a more human love, is explored with adam and eve. whilst milton put forward a framing of their romantic love that wasn't considered sinful because it was borne of something pure, ultimately it led to their own respective original sins in disobeying god, and facing the repercussions of knowledge.

so i don't disagree with you that crowley possibly first thinks of love as being linked to god which, as far as we know, he isn't, and lost that when he fell. the last time he would have felt anything akin to that kind of love was when he was an angel. this is what i was getting at in my last ask; that he may have once felt it in the abstract and from god, but no longer does. but we know that he must feel something somewhat like love, if not love itself or love of a different kind, in how he views and treats humanity, and aziraphale - because whilst the latter specifically may not be identified as romantic love until ep5, he has certainly cared for him beyond mere fondness for at least a couple of centuries, give or take.

so unless otherwise countered by anything directly from GO (again, happy to be corrected but i don't recall this being directly discussed in the book), my personal thought is that crowley can evidently feel love and has on average always been able to - and possibly by extension so can other demons. but, a) he doesn't inherently experience it the same way angels do (demonstrated in s1 in the Bentley with aziraphale), and b) as you say, he's had the experience of being on earth, so that love has by all accounts been 'kept alive' through them, an experience unique only to him.

but my thought is also that other demons, however, whatever love they can feel, can't put it anywhere like crowley can, and so it dwindles down into being dormant. that's my interpretation anyway, because lest we forget - we have seen that beelzebub was able to feel (as we understand it anyway) love come the end of ep6, and they didn't have the same experience on earth as crowley... so in eventual conclusion to that thought, i think GO demons still can love, but it doesn't have anywhere to go - until it does - and so the ability has withered away over the millennia.

"I can't help myself, you're just so easy!" Seungmin snickered, his voice right in your ear from where he was spooning you on your couch. You whined and squirmed some more, before you ended up moving around so much that you fell off the couch.

"Ow!" You exclaimed, having hit your elbow on the ground on the way down. Seungmin began to laugh at you and went to help you up off the ground. You pouted at him and swatted him away, instead pushing him back into the couch and digging your hands into his hips.

"AHH!" Seungmin howled, laughter immediately bubbling up from his chest. "NAHAA!! Nohot theheheree!!" His laughter mixed into his words seamlessly, and you almost wondered if he should never not be laughing like this.

"Not here?" You asked, changing from rough tickles to lighter scratching and smiling when his giggles jumped an octave. "Is it bad?"

"Yehehes! AHH! Ihihit's bahad!! Noho mohohore!" Seungmin was whining and pulling at your hands, clearly feeling too lazy to properly fight back. You cooed at him for a second, but eventually let him go.

"Scoot over, I'm big spoon this time. You can't be trusted." You told him, and Seungmin agreed without any argument, clearly too tired to fight you anymore. Small miracles.

so overpowering him isn't a question a lot of the time

he kind of just turns to putty as soon as you start teasing him

"Innie! Fight me!" You exclaimed, jumping onto your boyfriend's back where he's laying on your bed. He let out a loud "oof" when you landed and groaned, burying his head in one of the pillows near him. "Hey! I said fight me!"

Jeongin groaned yet again, turning his head to the side so he could glance up at you. "You're so annoying." He said, completely deadpan.

You gasped dramatically. "How dare you! I'm annoying? I'll show you annoying!"

He seemed to realize what you were up to before you did anything. "Yah, baby, dohOHN'T-," You cut him off with his own giggles when you started to squeeze at his sides. Jeongin buried his head in the pillow once again, body shaking with barely concealed laughter as you tortured his poor sides.

"Innie, why are you hiding? Don't hide from me!" You insisted, tweaking an extra sensitive spot on his left side that had him throwing his head back and letting out a scream of ticklish agony.

"AHH!! NOHOHO!! Staha- stAHAP!!" Jeongin's ears and neck were completely red as he begged for mercy. That's always how you knew you were getting him good.

"Should I stop? Do you deserve that?"

"Yehe-," You tweaked that spot again. "YAH! YEHES! ENOHOHOUGH!!" His laughter was getting breathy, and you knew it was probably time to let him go. You rolled off of him and Jeongin curled up into a ball on the bed beside you, lost in a fit of residual giggles.

"That was... heh... so unnecessary..." He panted, and you reached over to rub his hair comfortingly.

"Yeah it was, I just can't help it sometimes..." You explained, which had Jeongin glaring at you playfully. "C'mere!" You wrestled him into a hug which had him complaining yet again, but deep down, you knew he secretly loved it.

You loved Kirishima you TRULY did with all your heart, but he never knows how to turn down a bet. Especially when it came from Kaminari.

You had been peacefully enjoying your day off from your agency, you couldn't remember the last day you had off just one of the wonderful things about being a pro hero.

The only thing that could've made your day better was your boyfriend here with you. You and Kirishima rarely had days off together so you couldn't help but be irritated that he wasn't there with you.

It seemed like you too barely spent time together anymore. However, he would be home soon and that made things a little better.

You found yourself searching in the kitchen for something to cook for dinner when you heard the door click. Your head turned embarrassingly fast towards the door as you smiled.

“You're home!” you said happily as you hurried to the door and hugged kirishima tightly. “Woah! Hey baby” he said as he caught you. “I missed you” you sighed as you looked up at him.

“I missed you too,” Kirishima said as he leaned down to kiss you on the forehead before taking off his gear by the doorway. “So how was your day?”

You asked as you walked back over to the kitchen, Kirishima following after you as he got his boots off.

“pretty slow honestly” he hummed as he stretched his arms over his head.

"Sorry to hear that…I was just about to start dinner” you said with a smirk as you approached him, taking his hands in your own, “and maybe afterwards we can made the day a little more…interesting”

You purred as you leaned in close but noticed his guilty face and a lack of response. “ah…about that baby..” kirishima said as he rubbed the back of his neck.

You sat back up as you looked at him wondering if you did something wrong. But judging by his mannerisms you realized he was the one who fucked up.

“What did you do?” you asked with a groan. “Kaminari and I made a bet…” he said after a moment. “About what?” You asked as you stood and crossed your arms.

“Well we were just talking, then he got an idea that we should see how long we can last without uhm” he paused as he grabbed your hips “indulging y'know?” You stared blankly at him.

“So we can't fuck because of a bet with kaminari?” You asked, slight frustration in your tone. “He said if I won he'd do my paperwork for 2 weeks and if I lost I'd do his” He said quickly in a meek tone sensing your irritation.

You groaned as you pinched the bridge of your nose with your fingers “fine whatever” you said as you walked back to the kitchen.

“Babyyyy” he said as he walked after you “I'm sorry” he said as he leaned against the counter.

“It's fine dear” you said softly, his blood running cold. “I'll break you within a week” you said calmly as you smiled at him as you got ready to cook dinner.

“Set the table for me?” You said sweetly with deceiving doe eyes. He gulped with a nod “of course”

Over the next 2 days you were relentless. You tease him through the house, and while on patrols. Any opening you had you took it. Yet somehow it wasn't enough, 5 days passed and you had gotten nothing from him.

Miraculously for the first time in 2 months the both of you happened to get a saturday off together and you'd be damned if you were gonna waste it.

When you woke up Saturday morning you rolled over and leaned in close to pepper kisses on Kirishima's neck. you hummed softly as your hand trailed across his chest.

He stirred in his sleep before his eyes opened slowly, a grin grew on his face as he grabbed you hand gently off his chest before kissing the back of your hand followed by one on your forehead before he whispered, “nice try sweetheart”

He teased as he sat up, “how bout I make us breakfast” he said as he got out of bed, his muscles teasing you as he stretched before walking to the doorway before looking back at you.

“Don't worry, kaminari will crack any day now, I know it” he said with a nod as he walked away. You watched him disappear down the hall before huffing in frustration as you fell back on the bed.

“Kaminari’s dead when I catch him” you muttered to yourself as you got out of bed as well.

After a whole day of your usual teasing, you reached a point of giving up, kirishima sat on the couch to turn it on a movie for the two of you as you shut the dishwasher from dinner “What do you wanna watch baby?”

He asked as he grabbed the remote. “I don't know..I kinda just want to go to bed” you mumbled as you walked up behind the couch as you trailed your nails along the back of his neck.

“Oh..” He said quietly as he followed you with his eyes as you stood in front of him. “I'll probably take care of myself tonight..seeing as you don't want to.” you said as you looked at him pathetically.

His eyes went wide “of course I do!” He said quickly. “doesn't feel like it,” you said softly as you got closer to him before climbing into his lap. “you've been ignoring me all week…” you cooed as you leaned in close, your lips centimeters away from his.

He hesitated for a moment, seemingly leaning in to return the kiss before turning away at the last moment.

You leaned in close to his ear. “and that's not very manly of you..” you whispered in his ear. All restraint snapped in him as he perked his head back to face you.

He leaned in before grazing his teeth along your neck, making you shiver. “You know just how to rile me up…” he murmured.

he quickly kissed you, his hands cradling your head as nipped you bottom lip between his teeth before kissing you again desperately.

His arm swiftly grabbed under you thigh before pulling you into his lap. “Eiji~..” you said softly as he pulled away.

Safe to say, kaminari won the bet for once.

The whole Prema garage filled with cheers when Ollie crossed the line first place. His first win for the team, his first win in F2.

Madelyn was stood by Charles behind the barrier to see with three cars pull up. Arthur had got P3, when he got out the car he instantly ran to his siblings.

“First podium! Proud of you!” Madelyn told him as Arthur hugged her tightly. “Thank you Mads, I’m sure you are proud of Ollie as well” Arthur added.

Madelyn saw Ollie running to his team and family and started to celebrate his first win in F2 with them. Ollie took off his helmet and locked eyes with his girlfriend.

The Prema driver had a big smile on his face when he ran over to her and they hugged tightly. “I’m so proud of you, your first win baby!!” Madelyn exclaimed as they kissed.

“I love you,” Ollie mumbled and kissed her forehead. “I love you too Oll, I’ll catch up with you later okay? Now go and collect that trophy and celebrate” Madelyn told him.

“I sure will!” Ollie added as he walked away towards the podium. Madelyn smile brightly seeing her boyfriend and brother on the podium together.

Madelyn hid behind Charles as Arthur and Ollie sprayed a bit of their champagne over them. “Hey! I’m not a shield!” Charles told her.

“Well, you are now” Madelyn said as Charles rolled his eyes at his sister. Madelyn made a hear shape with her hands to Ollie, he replied with a wink.

“Awh look at you two, disgusting” Charles mumbled. “Shut up, this is why I like your girlfriend better than you” Madelyn added which made Charles nudged her slightly.

“Rude” Charles replied. “Just the truth, Charlie” Madelyn told him.

—the rookie driver Madelyn Leclerc finishes P3!! What a result for her and what a way to make her name in Formula 1! First podium for the rookie, we can’t wait to see what’s in the future for her!” Crofty exclaimed.

“P3 Mads!! What a drive, congratulations, you deserve this so much. Zhou P5, a brilliant result for the team!” Her race engineer called as he could hear the team celebrating in the background.

“Wooo!! Let’s go!! First podium babyyyy!! What a result for the team, c’mon let’s keep it going!!” Madelyn said with a big smile on her face, even though no one could see it.

Madelyn parked her car in the P3 spot, she instantly got out and ran to her crew. She then took her helmet off and ran to her brothers.

“So proud of you Mads,” Lorenzo said after pulling away from the hug. “Thanks Enzo,” Madelyn replied as Arthur pulled her into a tight hug.

“First podium for both of us this weekend, so proud of you!” Arthur told her. “Thank you!!” Madelyn replied as she felt two arms pick her up from behind.

“P3 Mads?! So proud of you, sis!” Charles exclaimed as he put her down and kissed her forehead. “Thank you Char, congrats on P2” Madelyn added.

Madelyn went over and drank some water before she was lifted up once again. “Congrats lil sis!” Max exclaimed and put her down.

Madelyn turned around and hugged him. “Thank you Max” Madelyn said with a smile. “You deserve it so much!” Max added. “Maddie!!” Pierre called.

Madelyn ran over to him and they hugged tightly. “So proud of you!! P3 in your rookie year?!” Pierre added. “Thank you, it’s crazy” Madelyn said.

After the interview, Madelyn made her way into the cool-down room. Charles and Max were already there, the three started to talk about the car while watching the replays before they were called for the podium.

Madelyn had a big smile on her face as she lifted the trophy up, she pointed to her team who cheered for her loudly.

Once it was time for the champagne, Max and Charles had teamed up against Madelyn. The young girl was drenched but she didn’t care at that moment.

She had just gotten her podium in formula 1 in her rookie year.

Madelyn had changed into new clothes after all the celebrations had finished. There wasn’t many people left in the paddock, Madelyn got all her things and made her way out of the garage.

When she did that, she finally saw the one person she wanted to see as soon as she crossed the line. Madelyn ran and jumped in Ollie’s arms.

“I’m so proud of you, Lyn!! You got a fucking podium in your rookie year in f1!!” Ollie exclaimed as they were hugging tightly.

“Thank you Oll,” Madelyn added as they kissed. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there at the podium” Ollie replied as they pulled away. “It’s okay, you’re here now” Madelyn mumbled.

“What a weekend for us, eh?” Ollie added. “What a weekend, indeed..” Madelyn said with a smile. “I love you so much” Ollie told her.

“I love you too Ol, c’mon race you to the entrance!” Madelyn said as she took off running. “Lynnie! That isn’t fair!!” Ollie shouted and ran after her.

The couple laughs could be heard by everyone who was still in the paddock, many crew members smiled at the young pair.

Two drivers who were still in the paddock, was Madelyn’s brother and teammate. The two Ferrari drivers watched the couple as they were also making their way towards the entrance.

“They are made for each other, I’m glad we both told you and Arthur off that day” Carlos said. “Glad you guys did that, I can see how much they belong together” Charles added with a smile.

Tara Carpenter as your girlfriend headcannons (Part 21)

Sometimes you and Tara play soccer in the apartment against each other

You take out all the mayonnaise and put them on your side. If Tara scores past you and hits the mayonnaise she scores

And Tara will take out all the ketchup and if you score past Tara and hit the ketchup you score

So you won the soccer game 3-2

Which means Tara will have to pay for the movie ticket so you and her can see the strangers: Chapter 1 together

Tara loves photography she loves to take a picture of you cooking and one of you singing in the recoding studio and another picture directing a movie

Then Tara will make a small collection of photos in a photo book and give one to you for Valentine’s Day

“Happy Valentine’s Day baby!!” Tara said.

You smiled. “Oh baby. Thank you!” You opened the book and saw all of Tara’s favorite pictures of you. “Aww babyyyy!! This is amazing!!” You said.

Tara smiled. “I made this for you because everyday I see you, you get so much more prettier and beautiful I have a hard time keeping up”. Said Tara. “And this book of photos is my reminder of how lucky I am to have you as my girlfriend. I love you. Thank you for all that you do for me”. Said Tara.

You got up and gave Tara a hug and she hugged her back. You gave her a ginormous kiss on her lips. “I love it thank you again. And here is your Valentine’s Day present”.

You gave Tara a new phone case, 2 gift cards to her favorite coffee shops, a captain marvel jacket, and chocolates and a small teddy bear. “Happy Valentine’s Day baby. Thank you for being my girlfriend. And for always being here for me. I love you”. You said.

”Awww thank you!!!” Said Tara.

When you and Tara were playing she held you up with her feet somehow and you yelled, “All aboard the Tara Carpenter train station!!” And she giggled

She’ll even rest her head on your back while she cuddles you. And when you want your cuddle time with Tara you got out of the shower with your hair wet and your Pajamas on. But she doesn’t mind your hair being wet

She will wrap an arm around you anyway and make sure you’re comfortable with her

~The one where Wilbur’s girlfriend likes Marvel and finds Tommy funny.~

      Wilbur had gotten sick and the perfect stream to do when he was sick was a ‘You Laugh You Lose’. And even more perfect his girlfriend had dropped by so of course his perfect idea came to mind. “Baby pleaseee~ Please stream with me! It’ll only take like an hour or two of your time!” His voice was whiny but gravelly due to his fever. You smiled and shook your head, “No hun that’s your time.” He whined, “Please, babyyyy. You’ll have fun!” You laughed softly. “I don’t doubt I will.” And so his whiny self won, you gave in to his begging. 

    So you sat in the chair. As he greeted his chat. “Hey chat! So today,” He was cut off by his own sniffle. “I’m sick, if it wasn’t obvious, and my sweetheart,” He motioned down to you seated in his chair as he sat beside you. “will be doing a ‘You Laugh You Lose’ for me.” He gets cut off by a video of Tommy, the infamous ‘That’s What I Like’ video and you burst out laughing. “That was not funny Y/n, do not laugh at them, you’re trying not to laugh.” He said with a joking pout. “Sorry sorry, I’m bad at not laughing.” You try to straighten your face as Wilbur talks to chat for a moment. “OBJECTS I’VE SHOVED UP MY ARSE!” Blares in your ears and you turn away. “Trying not to laugh dear?” You shook your head, “No, it hurt my ears.” And he laughed at you for a second. “Oh Wilbur lost a life! Goodbye Will!” He frantically shook his head. “No, this is you not laughing not me!” You sat back up, staring into the camera. “Should we kick him out chat? Chat says yes!”

     Wilbur whined, “Chat is mean to me Y/n, don’t encourage them.” You just looked at him, trying to keep your face straight. That one anime video he hated flashes across the screen and he quickly shut it. “No! Fuck you guys! No!” You bit your bottom lip as he glared at you, “Uh-huh, yeah, laugh...do it.” You held your breath. You turned back to the monitor, waiting for the next video while Wilbur continued to stare at you, leaning in. “Wilbur, I swear if you yell in my ear.” He just giggled and laid his head on your shoulder.

     Just then a stupid Marvel video came on and you laughed. Wilbur tilted his head up to yell at chat without realizing before he did and turned around to you. “Did you just fucking laugh at a Marvel meme?! Are you a fucking Marvel stan?!” He then turned to see who sent it. “I’m banning them.” He continued to chant it over your giggles and protests. “Oh my god, it was sent in by FUCKING TOMMY?!” He turned his head slowly, staring at you. “You just laughed at a Marvel stan video...sent in by Tommyinnit.” It made you giggle even more when he dropped his jaw. 

    Then Charlie’s corn skit came on and your giggling increased. “Y/n, you’re out. You laughed at unfunny videos, you’re done for, goodbye chat-” He began to bid farewell to chat when you jumped forward, pulling his arm away from his keyboard. “They say one more life, yes they said, one more life, baby pleasee!” He looked back at you as you pleaded, “Please?” He leaned in, “A kiss for a life.” You chuckled at his feverish state but obliged, kissing his cheek. “No, my lips!” You shook your head, “I’m not getting sick.” He whined and “That’s What I Like’ blasted in your ear followed by a dono from Tommy, “ISTG ONE MORE FUCKING TIME U PEOPLE SEND THAT VIDEO!” the dono yelled in your ear as you continued to laugh. “Alright, I’m done, goodbye chat!” And Wilbur shut off the stream giving you a kiss. “You aren’t allowed on my streams anymore, Rule #4. No Marvel Stans.”
