JK Day 2021
...and what a day it was. I know we’re a bit late with this when looking at KST but in our time zone it’s still September 1st so it counts, right? Besides I wanted to wait until the day was over for them so I could have everything the members would post for JK so I could put it in this post as memory for us to look back on in the future.
Furthermore, as extension for the celebrations, I want to finally sit down, write and post our post about JK and his bonds with the hyung line since it’s been so long since two anons asked us about that so what better time than the weekend after JK day, right?
Anyway, let’s get into it, shall we?
The day before JKs birthday he came onto Weverse and posted three different things, including a cute selca:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Everyone of course turned up their creativity to post something for JK and also wondered among themselves what he planned on using those lyric comments for, and if he would use them for anything at all.
Sometime later before the new RUN episode aired, Seokjin appeared on Weverse and, for whatever reason, commented birthday wishes for JK under the Weverse post about the upcoming RUN episode. Because of course he did.
Tumblr media
More than an hour before midnight KST everyone got a notification from vlive that JK had gone live:
Tumblr media
And truly, considering it was about to be his birthday, I love how it felt more like it was ours with the gift that kept on giving that this vlive turned out to be.
Lots more below the cut:
Remember those posts that JK made in the morning on Weverse? As many, including myself, had guessed, JK gathered some of the lyric comments he liked most, or thought would work best, and proceeded to turn them into an actual song right before our eyes. The instrumental was gorgeous with a acoustic guitar and ballad like melody and it was truly fascinating watching him figuring out how to sing the lines, record them, redo them whenever he felt he could do it better, add adlibs in some places, and slowly but surely a song was created with lyrics in both English and Korean.
This really was the content I’ve always craved and I’m so, so happy we got to watch JK do this instead of him just showing us the final thing. You could see him having fun, even when he got a little frustrated at times or he wasn’t quite sure how he wanted to continue or how he wanted the words to sound like, and that he really knows what he’s doing. So many claim that Bangtan have no idea about producing and recording songs, which truly is such a stupid argument to make considering Yoongi is literally Producer SUGA and we know that, if the members want to make mixtapes they have to do them themselves, which we know Namjoon, Yoongi and Hobi have done. So JK doing all of that in the vlive? Checkmate against those idiots. Especially since it also isn’t the first time we’ve seen members work on tracks, like the behind the scenes of rap line working on DDAENG or Hobi working on songs, or even JK with Stay, even if we didn’t know it’s Stay at the time.
Once the song was finished JK went on to show us several more instrumentals he could’ve worked with, each one with a different vibe, before switching to singing a song by Justin Bieber saying he really loves his songs a lot. And then it was nearing midnight so he unpacked the cake he got, white icing/fondant with purple lettering spelling out STILL WITH YOU JK, very cute.
Right as midnight hit someone started to bang on the door so JK got up to see who’d come and, surprise, it was a very excited Hobi wishing him a happy birthday including singing the birthday song for him upon JKs request while JK lit up his golden heart shaped candle.
Hobi again returned two minutes after he’d left (between when at 1:18h JK mentioned that, for the first time that night, he’d do one more song to finish off the vlive, ha) to give him an ice cream cake he’d prepared, but also to get his phone which he’d accidentally forgotten in the room JK was in.
Tumblr media
Once Hobi really left and JK got a taste of his ice cream cake, as well as the white cake which turned out to be chocolate flavored, the vlive concert began and, at the time, none of us knew what we were in for since we all thought he’d really do one or two more songs and that would be it. And yet that very much is not what happened, at all, and I’m so grateful for it.
This might just be the funniest screenshot in existence (please take note of the time stamps):
Tumblr media
No wonder that, eventually, Seokjin decided to come onto Weverse to post wishes for JK a second time while also saying this (the picture is from their unit photoshoot for Winter Package):
Tumblr media
The imagine of Seokjin just sitting in bed or whatever watching JKs vlive and hearing him say last song every like ten minutes and every time he just kept going...and going...and going while Seokjin is just waiting...and waiting...and waiting? Hilarious. But it’s also really cute how he’d wanted to wait until JK was done to not interrupt him or pull ARMYs attention away from the vlive. Truly I adore their bond, it’s adorable and chaotic and so wonderfully them.
Yoongi also posted his wishes for JK while the vlive was still going.
Tumblr media
The one who waited until it was over was actually Namjoon who, with what he said in his tweet, actually revealed that he’d watched JKs vlive as well. In his vlive JK said that at the end of their concerts Namjoon used to always give his speech like a (school) principal, as in his long ending ment speeches, and that’s why Namjoon ‘signed’ his tweet with principal as well.
Tumblr media
Truly I love how JK was just having fun singing their songs, taking requests from ARMY, rediscovering songs, like him wondering if they really have a song called Paradise (since the Korean title is different) and finally fulfilling ARMYs wish of hearing BTS sing it live, as well as being surprised and confused by requests for Heartbeat asking himself if them really have a song like that. But since ARMY kept asking for it, he finally looked it up and his reaction to realizing that, yes, it is a real song of theirs and also that that’s the song we were talking about which he’d completely forgotten about? Hilarious but also kind of heartbreaking for all the Heartbeat enthusiasts.
Here is the full list of all the songs he sang, some for longer, some shorter:
Tumblr media
One thing that this vlive showed really well was just how amazing of a singer JK really is. It’s easy for people to dismiss his talent during concerts or performances, since they could always argue that him and the others get help due to the backing track etc., but here we had his raw voice singing along to their songs much the way any of us do. And he sounded stunning beginning to end. He’s such a talented singer and he’s worked so hard on his technique and voice and it’s really showing. Thinking back to what he said in his BE comeback Weverse interview about how he’d like to one day he brave enough to do a three hour concert on his own, I’d say this vlive shows that really shouldn’t be any kind of problem at all. If ARMY can listen to him essentially do karaoke for one and a half hours, then attending and enjoying a full on JK concert would be no issue whatsoever. It’d actually be amazing, I’m certain, and I’d totally be down to seeing that potentially become a reality one day in the future.
After two and a half hours, the vlive ultimately came to a close and JK said his goodbyes.
Hours later Hobi appeared on Weverse wondering what pictures of JK he could/should post for his traditional picture “spam” and everyone was immediately super excited. Hobi’s gallery holds some wonderful treasures so we all looked forward to what he would end up posting, though it would take a few hours until it would happen.
Tumblr media
The funny thing is that he posted the first twt twice since the picture with Namjoon in it had Hobi’s iPhone in it which, as good Samsung representative, was a no, no, so he deleted the twt and posted it again with some stickers covering the phone. So cute. And his picture choices are wonderful. I particularly love that picture of JK in the white room dressed in black from back in 2019 when they performed Boy with Luv. And also their picture from a dinner the two of them went on together back in 2018.
Tumblr media
In the meantime before Hobi posted his pictures, as requested in the picture that BH had posted for JKs birthday on the staff BTS account at midnight, one of the members posted his meal though it’s unclear which one of them it might’ve been. Looks super yummy though, wow.
Tumblr media
And eventually the final member to come and wish JK a happy birthday was Jimin (and yes, I know Jimin’s twt came before Hobi’s but considering Hobi already wished him a happy birthday at midnight, that makes Jimin the last one):
Tumblr media
Trans (cr. haruharu_w_bts):
our maknae happy birthday  i wish <you a happy birthday> a lot and a lot #KkookieHappyBirthday #JIMIN #HAPPYJKDAY
Taehyung didn’t post anything but considering his track record of doing something for the members off social media for their birthday, like giving Namjoon a forehead kiss, sending birthday wish videos to Seokjin (including roping others into doing it as well), or wishing Jimin a happy birthday as part of the MOTS ON:E exhibition, I wasn’t all that surprised by this.
And with that JK day 2021 came to a close. It started with a surprise (as in both the song based on ARMY comments and also the concert afterward) and ended with one as well, as in the In The SOOP Season Two announcement.
I hope JK had a wonderful day, celebrated happily with his members, friends and family however much that’s possible in these times, as well as with their busy schedule, and that this new year will be a happy one for him full of success, personal but also career wise. I’m curious and excited to see what will happen.

BNHA/MHA First Watch-Through Notes
1x01
these are... stupid... and... a mess. bc I am stupid and a mess. you have had your warning. I didn’t even go back and skim through this when I was done I’m just releasing these little bastard thoughts into the void they’re not my problem now
I’m watching dubbed btw
I know, I know... it’s the only one I have access to rn tho
I... do not know how to feel about funimation’s new intro?
well I guess it’s not really new but
listen I haven’t watched anything of funimation’s since the og fruits basket ok I’m used to the DUN-DUN *funimation* ((....you should be watching))
he is. babie. green babie.
but also why do these small children have such wild hair colors
I mean I’m here for it
I just wasn’t expecting it
oH SHIT THEY GOT POWERS POWERS
so this is the famous deku
I’m guessing this is like a flashback or memory or something?
I missed the bully’s name
speaking of the bullies, they changed order? It was wings, fire, stretchy hands, but now it’s fire, stretchy hands, wings. I know that they probably wanted to show the “leader” closest and that’s why but,,
also wtf?? these are kids. like bullies should not be a thing, I think we can all agree on that, but yeah, it’s gonna happen. but these kids are, what? eight? nine? maybe their powers (’quirks,’ whatever) aren’t super powerful yet, but this blonde kid has fire powers. has nobody talked to them about just how dangerous this is? forget roughing the other two up or intimidating them or giving them a hard time, this could genuinely escalate and get way out of hand super fast, and someone could get seriously injured.
oof. boy is dead.
this eight year old (purple hair) sounds like he’s a thirty yo new teacher trying to sound hip and cool but also wise and knowing to his class who Does Not Care
OH
that wasn’t purple kid?? that was current deku???
wack
then this fourteen year old sounds like he’s a thirty yo new teacher trying to sound hip and cool but also wise and knowing to his class who Does Not Care
also they were four?
jeepers heckin criminey who starts beating people up at four years old
have to say though, I loved that sky-to-puddle transition
jiminey fucking crickets I’m not even a minute into the episode these notes are going to be stupidly long I’m sorry
!! I love his little skipping-dance thing when he’s impatient at the crosswalk!
alright... I’ll admit it... his character design is pretty adorable
also tf is that thing
it looks half shark half poorly drawn dog
I mean I get it’s probably a person and that’s their quirk or whatever but
did this kid just run all the way across the city just to watch this guy start shit at the station so he could see the heroes take him down??
I mean respect tbh but also priorities kid
also I really appreciate that the cops are just kind of calmly directing everyone and everyone else is just kind of chillin like “oh. another villain. that’s too bad.” like tbh that’s one of the things that always kind of annoys me about movies and shows like this where there’s like repeatedly villain attacks because yes they are scary, especially when you’re caught up in them, but if you’re just kind of there and not directly in the action or being directly threatened, then why are you freaking out? you’ve lived in this city for how long? there’s an attack every, what, two days? this isn’t routine for you by now?
I started this like 15 min ago and am only like a minute and a half into the ep smh
ngl this intro kinda pops off
that hero guy seemed... kind of evil lookin tho
love the animation oml
also the lyrics to this are great???
OH IS THAT A NARRATIVE FOIL I SEE IMPLIED THERE
I THINK IT IS
“and they were narrative foils” “oh my god they were narrative foils”
k ngl rewinding real quick bc I missed some of the intro and there’s always so much fun stuff to see and unpack in those
also I wanna read all the lyrics
k so I was wondering this before but I’m just gonna say it... why does the hero guy have rabbit ears
alright character designs lookin p fire so far
last guy I keep missing but he kind of looks like steven universe?? idk I still have to watch that show too tbh so,,,
does the big hero guy turn into a giant bird?
oh that intro got me excited for this
these characters look so lit!!
“the first incident?” so this isn’t just like a natural factor of their world? it hasn’t always been going on? there was, like, a definitive start to it all? was that kid really the first incident or the first one they noticed? was that actually the first incident or is it just like the commonly told first incident, like an old myth/legend/folktale/old wive’s tale?
interesting that it started with a baby and then moved to people of all ages?
oh they don’t know the cause of the quirks? interesting
((why do I feel like finding out the answer to that is gonna be like A Big Thing™ at some point in the series))
I really like the visuals they put with this exposition?? idk why it’s just,,, very appealing
also his voice is very nice to listen to tbh, so that’s a definite plus
I hate it when the main character’s voice is super annoying
but like how long ago was it that this started? he just said “before long”
I like that in this universe they actually acknowledge that hey comic books are a thing and this whole superheroes/villains/powers thing is kind of ridiculous bc it’s legit like playing out scenes straight from those comic books but also this is real life and it’s actually happening and really does pose a lot of danger and complications to a lot of people, so we’re going to treat it as something real and serious and affecting us
I might’ve spoken too soon but I really hope they don’t blow that mindset
I feel like too often superhero shows/movies just either completely gloss over the effects this stuff has on society as a whole, or it’s like a completely new thing for them, like there’s never been the concept of a fictional superhero or a comic book there before.
“was an age of heroes”??? oh no what happens
k but why is this guy dressed like the ‘do not cross’ lines
kind of a lame hero costume tbh :/
why. does he have. sleeves. but no shirt.
edna mode would never do you like that honey go see her
“Death Arms”?? what kind of alias is that?? also wouldn’t it make more sense for arms to be uncovered than his chest, then??
“The Punching Hero”
I’m sorry I Cannot take this guy seriously
waterbending??
asdkfdls idk why but this firehose guy really reminds me of that one alchemist from fmab with the top hat and the monocle and the peg leg that spun like a top and Scar murked
“rescue specialist” see?? that makes sense!! it makes me so happy that they’re actually thinking more about the worldbuilding and how dangerous scenarios would work if 80% of the population had powers of different kinds, beyond “big bad guy meet big good guy. punch punch good guy wins”
also dear god thank you for putting someone on crowd control I know I was just saying it was great these people weren’t really treating this like the end of the world and it is good that they were mostly staying back by themselves but. they were still standing very close to an ongoing fight. priorities, people. self preservation. they are things. that I do not believe most people in superhero universes have in the slightest.
aww he’s too short
(but is he shorter than edward elric)
((do we know))
(((somebody please tell me if this information is available)))
alsdfkj l;a that guy calling in late bc the train got held up by the villain... do you think that’s another equivalent of “oh...I’m...sick... yeah, totally, I’m sick” and “my dog ate my homework” to them? “there was a villain attack” or “some idiot on my block decided to show off their quirk and it got out of hand”
ope Big Hero™ is here
...why am I surprised that they have fans?? I mean I guess that makes sense they’re basically celebrities and public figures right?
okay Big Hero™ is Kamui got it
wait no that is not the Big Hero™
but they are another hero and their name is Kamui got it
“Kamui Woods” ok that’s actually helpful I was gonna ask what his skin was supposed to be bc I didn’t think it was scales and it does look kind of like bark... Now going to take that as permission to assume it’s the latter
kamui kind of reminds me of some pokemon but I’m not sure which one?? I’m sorry idk pokemon v well but thy def remind me of one of them
“...a fAnBOY” he looks and sounds like he just tricked someone into confessing to murder why is he so smug about that smh
you know what. speaking of. I don’t get why everyone views being a fan of something/someone as something to be embarrassed or ashamed about?? why do people make fun of other people for it? why do we treat it like some big dark secret we try to hide? when did liking something become a bad thing? like?? sorry I have hobbies and interests and you don’t? sorry I think this person is talented? sorry I thought this book was life-changing? sorry I listen to this album so much because it’s good? sorry this show made me laugh during a really rough time? like goddamn it’s nobody’s business what you like unless you’re trying to force it on you when you’ve asked them to stop or it’s hurting someone? if they’re being safe and respectful about it for everyone involved then there shouldn’t be a problem? stop making people feel like freaks or be scared to enjoy something just a little too much? just let people have good things in life and consume the media that makes them happy? it has little to no effect on you? I don’t get why it’s you’re problem?? sorry to get all soapboxy this is something that’s always really annoyed me
does kamui have flowers on their belt
icon
k but isn’t wood like... really easy to break tho
I mean... comparatively speaking?
“illegal use of powers during rush hour traffic” alsfjsadlkf
wait so he’s listing charges for the guy, does that mean heroes are officially licensed here and can actually arrest people? and... actually work with law enforcement?? gasp no wait but I thought that was impossible except for The One Officer On The Inside That The Hero Has Convinced Of Their Cause™
hold up... “assault, robbery, and illegal use of powers during rush hour traffic... you are the incarnation of evil” ...bro chill lmao
I mean those aren’t good things but,,,, buddy “evil” can get so much worse holy shit sunflower child has no idea what’s in store for them
the show can do a hell of a lot even if they decide not to go that dark
well deku did say he was new
also off topic but I just looked it up and DEKU IS HALF A FOOT TALLER THAN ED
I’M SORRY BUT THAT’S HILARIOUS
CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS EXCITED GREEN CHILD MEETING ED THE GREMLIN ELRIC AND JUST TOWERING OVER HIM
he’d probably get along well w al though so ed would have to like him anyways
ok but back to bnha
ope kamui just got upstaged
but honestly?? he was actin a lil cocky and she seems like a queen so I ain’t mad about it
oh great creeps are everywhere apparently
YES THANK YOU THEY NEED TO INCLUDE SUPERPOWERS IN LEGISLATION SOMEHOW OTHERWISE PEOPLE CAN GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING GEEZ
just. more worldbuilding that I appreciate.
jfc they muzzled him?
ok i wasn’t that mad about kamui being upstaged (idk why I kinda like the guy) but now she’s acting a little too cocky for me and I feel kind of bad for Death Arms and Backdraft (?) because they definitely do deserve at least a little credit
yes. official. overseen by the government. I’m not saying it’s necessarily a good idea bc I’m not getting into the whole mess the MCU basically did regarding that, but it really does add to the worldbuilding and making it seem more realistic/draw you in a little more because you can bet that would be a thing that would actually happen in some capacity if such a large percentage of the population had superpowers, and crime was at an all-time high at the same time, with normal methods without powers likely not doing much to combat that, and it being even harder because everyone’s is different
wow so they really do have roles similar to celebrities huh?
I actually love how he’s analyzing the new hero
that’s!! the good!!! nerdery!!!!
ngl thought that guy was gonna be like “well that’s never gonna happen” lmao glad he didn’t turn out to be an asshole
this guy’s hair and his sweater need an upgrade
I’m sorry honey it’s just not a Look™
I mean ngl I’d probably wear it but also I am the absolute last person to look to for a good idea of fashion so
wow we hate asshole teachers
this kid’s hair grows wtf
they seriously just break out their quirks when they get annoyed?? I mean me too probably but
oh wait he’s not totally an asshole
but that still is kind of a dick move because even if it seems really really likely that most of them do, a lot of them probably feel like that’s just what’s expected of them or that that’s their best bet at an ok life, or they don’t think they’ll actually be able to get a career as a hero, and he has to know that there are kids (or at least one) in his class who don’t have powers and who will probably be shut down at every turn on that career track??
also what is it with the absurd number of people whose hair grows/flys/whatever and whose hands change chape and/or elongate
the girl who just throws up the rock n roll sign is my favorite
also why does this teacher remind me of gilderoy lockhart
I get that his eye thing is part of his quirk... but does he face no consequences health-wise from putting his grubby fingers all over his eyeballs?? you don’t know where your hands have been
ah
the famed bakugo
we finally meet
you seem like a cocky asshole and if I remember correctly you have firepowers
you know who else seemed like cocky assholes and one point or another and had firepowers??
roy mustang and zuko
and one of those guys is an awkward, angry turtleduck, and the other one is a rightly smug bastard who succeeded in pulling a coup on the government who was surveilling him and holding half his team hostage
so yeah I have a feeling I’m gonna like this guy
probably
at some point
eventually
it might take a while
“the only place worthy of me” oh dear
All Might!! Big Hero™ has a name!!
oh being a hero solely bc you want to be rich and popular? lame
aklsdfsjaslkfd teach just callin deku out in front of everyone
r.i.p.
it was nice having you as a main character for eight whole minutes I’m sorry you have to face death-by-embarrassment you deserved better
ope
bakugo doesn’t want anyone stealin his thunder
lemme guess deku is also his Main Rival™ or at least will be
awwwww poor guy
how much you wanna bet he gets the highest scores in all the exams bc he studies the heroes so much and that’s how he gets in
that lady got forcefields for her quirk? damn she lucked out
“this cash is mine” *drops cash*
are all the heroes like fine mt. lady can deal w the guy she keeps stealing all our credit anyway so there’s no point??
....is that all might?
k but... y’all should be taking notes on the heroes too if you want a better chance at that career and better schools for it? I know they’re probably making fun of it bc he doesn’t have a quirk but still
also I find it really interesting that the kids all act like the quirks are absolutely everything but at that scene on the street earlier people were complaining about missing the days they didn’t have to worry about “every rando w a quirk” or something... like maybe it’s because the kids grew up w it? Idk just the difference in mindset between (presumably) generations seems cool to look into
wow we love bullies so much
no we don’t pls stop you’re not as cool as you think you are
DESTROYING SOMEONE’S NOTEBOOK/JOURNAL/SKETCHBOOK IS ONE OF THE MOST DICK MOVES SOMEONE CAN MAKE CHANGE MY MIND
alright bakugo you’ve definitely moved onto my shitlist for the moment
don’t stay there
well you know what they say about greatness... some people are destined for it, yeah, but some become it, and some have it thrust upon them
cliches are there for a reason buddy
and either way... I could be wrong but... there doesn’t seem like anything great or heroic about bullying people... I mean idk that’s just my opinion but
god I hope they eat bakugo alive at ua
deku I know you’re a sunshine child but you have to get in now. you have to. out of pure spite. please.
yeah, friend 1b is right buddy...
destroy him deku
DESTROY THEM DEKU
oh suicide jokes huh
bakugo you’re on thin fucking ice you’ve just moved way up in my shit list
wow I hate him <3
EXACTLY
THANK YOU DEKU
I hate it when shows have someone make a suicide joke like that and just? no one addresses it?? or the characters don’t seem to realize that it needs addressing, at least to themselves??? so this is refreshing
voiced my thoughts exactly
he really is an idiot
NO BUDDY YOUR DREAMS ARE STILL POSSIBLE AND VALID
YOUR NOTES ARE SALVAGEABLE
he really is a jerk deku you’re right
awww little deku is so cute
alright I’m gonna make a prediction
this is his mom right
is this gonna be
another
dead anime mom?
and lemme guess she always told him she was sure he’d be a hero/she knew he’d become one, and then she died, and that’s why he’s so set on it
probably not
but just... placing my bets now
w h a t  is this child doing
he’s a hair’s breadth away from head-desking
are we... just gonna... ignore that robbery that was happening on the street a few minutes ago
OKAY WE GET IT YOU’RE HERE CAN YOU GO BACK TO SAVING PEOPLE THEY’RE STILL IN DANGER
HIS CACKLES I CAN’T
alsdkjf;lsjk I feel bad for him but also,,, that transition was gold
but also the face his mom made before he started laughing... she knew he probably wouldn’t get one didn’t she
but why do they assume it won’t happen if they don’t get it by a certain age? they said after that baby people all around the world were getting powers, and showed people of all different ages when they said so. that implies that they got those powers at those ages, after the baby was born but not when they were children themselves? like yeah there’s probably some point where you’d consider them “aged out” and therefore less likely to get a quirk but... she just said he’s in kindergarten.
fourth generation? so the appearance of quirks isn’t a super recent thing then
they can tell if someone is going to manifest a quirk or is starting to by looking at x-rays?
also I know I’m seriously overusing the word “interesting” but
maybe I’m reading too far into this but it’s also kind of interesting that his father and his (current) main antagonist have such similar powers?
OH!!!! lore drop!! kind of!!! that’s a really interesting (wow there it is again) thing they chose to be an indicator for that kind of thing in this universe
*cue izuku contemplating chopping off his pinky toes*
I feel like... all might’s... not gonna be that great....
DEAR LORD HOW MANY TEARS CAN THIS CHILD HOLD IN HIS EYES
also ngl when little deku’s eyes are wide and he doesn’t move he looks really creepy and kind of like a child-sized doll
like pinocchio
how sure are we that deku isn’t made of wood
hmmmmmmmmm I do love this animation
ah Internal Angst™
the fuck is that laughter??
skin suit? no thanks
but guess we aren’t ignoring that earlier scene
yeah all might’s in the city alright
he’s gonna break this up isn’t he
yepppppp that’s him
idk I think alex louise armstrong did it better sorry bud :/
“texas smash”??
he just... punched liquid apart
this kid’s still gonna go flying and hit the ground hard buddy thanks for your help
oh he stuck around
and he’s not hurt too bad
“justicing”
he’s using the city’s sewer system being difficult to navigate as his excuse for why he wasn’t paying attention to keeping bystanders safe like he “usually” does?
the armstrongs do the sparkle better
a;ldkfsdlfls this is really funny to watch ngl
“that’s... a pretty good point.” yeah no shit lmao
I love how he’s just. awkwardly patting deku.
yeah he’s gonna end up accidentally adopting this kid isn’t he
is he hurt?? or did the other guy actually take him over while deku was unconscious??
nah I think he’s just hurt I’m p sure he really did get the guy
but still
that was... a big boom.... that’s not good
he’s just.... abandoning this kid on the rooftop??
but also he probably really does have to go if blood is coming out of his mouth
do heroes in this universe have secret identities?
I feel like yes but also no??
watch as this guy’s like “I don’t have a quirk either” and he’s just. like. an armstrong or something
that or he’s gonna crush this kid’s dreams and be like “no, it’s not possible” and I will be forced to ensure deku becomes the most successful hero ever out of Even More Pure Spite™ even if he idolizes the guy
oh yeah he’s gonna get his dreams crushed
IS ALL MIGHT GONNA VOUCH FOR HIM AND GET HIM AN OPPORTUNITY AT UA BC HE FEELS BAD FOR HIM
hmm this outro kinda slaps too
overall feelin good, like it so far, definitely think I won’t have trouble continuing watching at least for now

The Environment of TLOU2
So, during my lunch today I was reflecting on jacksepticeye’s playthrough of TLOU2 and some of the comments about if the world really would look like that after 20+ years (or something to that extent). When I heard some of this pondering in the video I was like “yeah probably not” but I’ve been turning it in my head as I work on my new property and honestly...I think I’ve changed my mind. So, buckle in, and let’s talk about the West Coast.
Tumblr media
First we have to look at West Coast weather. One of the most amazing depictions in game of West Coast weather was the nonstop rain during the game. Not only was it thematic and symbolism, but it’s also pretty accurate for the West Coast. Most areas of the world have four seasons, but its a pretty popular sentiment that the west coast has two: Wet and Dust. This can vary in higher Washington where they might even consistently see snow, or down south where it is less dust and more straight desert. During the winter months, most of the west coast rains pretty non-stop. During the summer, you’re lucky to get the occasional rain fall. Usually this summer rainfall is very little and spaced out. So, what that means for plant life here on the west coast of the US is that during winter, our plants gets a crap ton of water. However, I’ve noticed that this rarely results in super growth for plants. No, no. That’s Summer’s domain there. If you’re one of those unlucky souls that like me has a yard that breaks every lawn cutting device anytime you so much as look at the grass, then you know this pain very well. During the summer, even if it’s just a sprinkle of rain, the plant life here springs back with a force. Usually, my yard can be up above my shoulders before I even know it. And that’s JUST the grass.
Tumblr media
The biggest offenders of huge growth are trees, blackberries, grape vines, and ivy. I’ve watched our yard the past few years look somewhat similar to the environments in the game due to overgrowth. The blackberries and grape vines devour everything and can even scale up trees and grow into huge hedges if left unchecked for even a few days. In a world where there’s less concern for cutting back nature, I can easily imagine how fast everything would be overtaken. Trees too are tricky fast bastards. In less than a year, I’ve suddenly got an apple bush that’s rooted and grown underneath our sugargum tree. It’s a bush because it has no ability to grow upwards because it, like me, had no foresight. I’ve seen several trees in the last year grow even though we had no hand in planting them (because of the blackberries keeping us away.) For me, its really easy to imagine forest like areas, parks, and open fields completely overgrown. Oh, and wildfires. TLOU2 doesn’t show fires so I’m going to assume it was wet season. Wildfires give the ground a crap ton of nutrients and areas that have burned grow back often times pretty healthy, vibrant, and uh...big.
Tumblr media
So about the conditions of the roads...
Tumblr media
This to me is also believable because of two things: one reality, but also, two, the events that are talked about in game. I don’t know about the entire West Coast, but I do know that during most of the year Oregon roads are basically in a permanent state of constantly being worked on and repaired. This is because of the large amounts of rain and other factors but I can honestly see a campaign propping up something like: THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ORANGE BARRELS GO. In the game, we hear about the military bombing areas where the outbreak was in order to control it, and then the bombings between militant groups and FEDRA in the QZs. A few years of water erosion, west coast rain, and explosions would definitely do it for places. Roads for sure would collapse.
Tumblr media
Also, keep in mind that the west coast gets some gnarly earthquakes and tsunamis. Flooded areas would get worse from the damages to long maintained structures and natural phenomenon and the human element (bombs).
Tumblr media
In short, I think that TLOU2′s environments are believable and beautiful all at once. Nature can take over so quickly once humans aren’t the main force keeping it back. Buildings, roads, and other structures would eventually crumble from lack of maintenance. I think it was brilliant of Naughty Dog to set the series on the West Coast because of this. It’s very believable to me, and probably strikes people from other areas differently because our environments act differently. If the series was set in other places I’m used to (such as the Northern Kentucky area), I don’t think the plant life would be so obviously taken over. It’d be different, for sure. The grass doesn’t get as tall, plants actually occasionally die off from winter, and trees aren’t as abundant and grow nowhere near as fast or as tall. (Though, Cincinnati would be an interesting urban apocalypse area to explore if we followed the same narrative of TLOU with bombs and resistance groups fighting it out. Buildings collapsing from age and human consequences? Sign me up.). I think other apocalypse medias set elsewhere have also skewed our expectations of how long it would take for the world to grow back over. After all, the environment on the eastern side of the US is far more urban, has shorter grasses, more seasons...It was a good choice.
Anyways, hope you enjoyed my dumb ramblings about stuff no one is really discussing because everyone is too busy either being immature or avoiding the game all together. I won’t say much more on that topic, but yeah. Enjoy!

Tumblr media
Oh Anon! I don’t know how old this because Tumblr doesn’t notify me at all when I get an ask but here is a little tutorial!  [Assuming you talk about my gifs but the final few steps of my gif making and image editing are quite the same!]
Program used: Photoshop CC 2019 (Though the steps are probably the same in every version of Photoshop) Also I use a MacBook but since I wrote this tutorial without keyboard shortcuts it should be the same on Windows.
Without further ado; how to make a gif that doesn’t become blurry, under the cut!
Tumblr media
Step 1: Import video frames from layers! Depending on how big your video is, this may take a while, let it do it’s thing!
Tumblr media
[Step 1.5: Especially when I’m giffing big videos, like say movies, I like to cut the clips I plan on using. You can use iMovie or VLC, which I can make a tutorial for if you guys like! I find this makes the whole giffing process a little easier because I already cut all content I don’t plan on using)
Step 2: Pick a part of the clip you want to gif, frames ize is limited to 500 and can make your laptop / computer fans go buckwild so make sure they have some room to vent!, This step can take a while, so just let Photoshop do it’s thing.]
Tumblr media
Step 3: Make sure you have a video time line. If it’s missing you can go to Window > Video time line.
Tumblr media
Step 4: This will open up! And now the magic happens!  First of all click select all frames. This is. important because if you have different delays your gif will look wild and not in a good fun way,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Step 5: Time to find what works! With all the fames selected click one of the down pointing arrows. Which one you pick doesn’t matter!
Tumblr media
Step 6: Now I always select other, and set the settings to 0,06. I find it works best! Look how it looks with 1:
Tumblr media
I mean that’s just way to slow?
This is with 0,01 but it’s still not what I want, so 0,06 it is. Honesty with this is just trial and error on what works for you and your source media, Sometimes slowing it down is actually what you want. The gif above this, for example can be used to look at the animation frame by frame.
Tumblr media
Step 7: Now that we know how fast our gif is going to be we need to edit it. First pic is the same as before, I know, we just need it again but this time click ‘convert to video timeline’
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Step 8: Now select all layers, right click on them and select ‘Convert to smart object’
Tumblr media
Step 9: HARD PART’S OVER!  Your window should look like this, you can drag the edges to make your gifs shorter! But there is still much to be done!
Tumblr media
Step 10: Resize your image. I go with 700 by whatever, so make sure the size lock is ON. This way the width and height will match no matter what you do. You can do other sizes as well but since I usually make big gifs, 700 is my go to.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Step 11: And I guess this is why your images come up blurry, anon, this took me a while to learn but add a sharpen filter. It goes from meh.. to crispyyyyy. This step is important because that image went to hell and back so far and needs a little TLC, sharpen usually does the trick but be careful NOT to oven sharpen it as it will look.. well.. ugly.
Tumblr media
Step 12: Now the fun part, and this is a free for all, adjustment layers, for my gifs, and images as well, I use two; Brightness and Contrast and a Curves layers. NOW PLEASE KEEP IN MIND; that this step will change the color of the image, so be smart and do not overuse this, always keep skin color in mind and stay as close to the original as possible. Don’t whitewash your gifs.
You can play around with the settings and judge what you like best based on your source material.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
BEFORE ADJUSTMENT LAYERS:
Not bad but we can do much better.
Tumblr media
AFTER ADJUSTMENT LAYERS:
Tumblr media
 WOAH, SO VIBRANT, SO COLORFUL!
Step 13: YOU. ARE. DONE! Time to save! You HAVE to do it like I did... Otherwise you get a static image.
Tumblr media
Step 14: This screen will open, there are some things you need to keep in mind;
1. The size. The new limit for Tumblr is 7MB, but sometimes gifs bigger than 5MB will not move on mobile or desktop. It will either have a blank space or just shows the first frame. To see if your gif works, make a new post on Tumblr and select ‘preview on blog’ if it moves on your preview, it will move on people’s dashes! If it’s too big you can go back to the editing phase and shorten it.
2. The looping options. Set this one to FOREVER. If you do not do this, it will play once and then stop, unless people refresh the page!
Tumblr media
AND YOU’RE DONE! ENJOY, CLICK SAVE AND GIF TILL YOU CAN’T GIF NO MORE!
I have never written an tutorial before so i hope you can read everything and understand, I like this method because it makes editing so easy! You can easily go back and forth between steps and it also makes it SUPER easy to crop your gif:
If you have any questions let me know!

Grand Titans Rewatch: 1.02
Grand Titans Rewatch: 1.02
it’s been literal months since i started this project and neither this nor the fic series that’s supposed to go alongside it has garnered much attention, if any, but damn it, i made a commitment and this time, i’m going to follow through.
for reference, episode 1’s recap here, and its corresponding fic tag is here.
SPOILERS ahead for pretty much the entire series.
1. the recap portion of the episode leans very heavily on the type of horror genre that rachel’s character brings to the show, and honestly, i love it. the superhero genre can feel very… sterile at times, with bright, clean colours and costumes and standard team-ups ending in a climactic punch-fest. the insidious horror of rachel discovering something huge and dangerous inside of her and trying—and largely failing—to control it bleeds into the rest of the show; each of the team has an inner demon to battle, but the lesson isn’t triumph over the beast as much as it is acceptance. it’s unfortunate that the dc live action universe in general has developed a reputation for being gratuitously grimdark; i love the thematic consistency that the tone brings to the show, and it is honestly the freshest take on these characters that i’ve seen so far.
1.5. there’s something to be said, too, about this muddy-window perspective we get into these established superheroes’ lives—the intriguing, sometimes downright opaque scenes of them trying to re-build from wreckage. i love that this is how they choose to distinguish themselves in a very, very crowded arena: the origin story here is not for the superheroes or even the team themselves, but the bonds they form and the family that they become.
2. i kinda love the clash between the goofy costume and the grimdark torture scene. it’s never immediately obvious, but this show is remarkably committed to its comic book roots—so much so that it’s kind of jarring. usually in the journey from the comic to the screen there is an ironing-out of genre and tone, but this show will show you its spandex clad hero with the plastic-feather cape being threatened with torture and castration because that’s how it goes in the comics, goddammit!
2.25. it’s pretty impressive that they’re able to afford such a big place in washington dc
2.5. hank and dawn’s easy intimacy is lovely to watch. i remember not being fond of this long detour to introduce these two relatively obscure characters right after all that juicy set-up in the first episode the first time i watched this, but now i can enjoy the languid way their story unravels, the little glimpses we get into the life they’ve led and the marks that it has left behind.
2.8. a delightfully cheesy moment with the giant bird cage immediately followed by a quietly devastating depiction of sexual impotence and a possible addiction to multiple painkillers! see what i mean?
oh! and before i forget:
MIRRORS, MIRRORS, EVERYWHERE: 9
3. flashback time! can’t say that i’m terribly impressed with the fight choreography; there appears to be hardly any contact between the heroes’ kicks and lunges and the thugs they’re supposed to be fighting, and a lot of slow-motion and editing trickery needs to be employed to make this look kinetic. i don’t really blame them much, though—those capes look awfully cumbersome to be just walking around in, leave alone fight. and i’m glad that the show is making a point of showing that robin’s style of fighting in flippier and more acrobatic than the others’.
3.65. aaaand we get our first hint of History between dick and dawn. to be honest, given what i remember of the rest of s1 and what we know of s2, it does seem like they’re making it so that the original titans did exist, swapping out roy and wally for hank and dawn. i’m not super-enthusiastic about this decision, but we’ll see how it plays out.
4. dick and rachel!
I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS INTERACTION:
a) rachel desperately trying to hide how scared and vulnerable she feels behind brittle defiance
b) dick bemused and concerned and casting around for ways to connect with her but giving up too easily
c) “for the lady” – oh, dick. i love you.
d) rachel warily checking her reflection
e) dick making false promises of safety to rachel in order to get her to come with him to washington—a manipulative little ploy that i’m sure was par-for-the-course during his time with batman
f) “but sometimes there’s no time to be scared” is that what kid!dick told himself when he was starting out as robin oh my heart hurts
g) dick just dropping out of his job for an indefinite time without notice because why in the world would bruce wayne’s ward ever have to worry about keeping down a steady job? he’s utterly unconscious of this, which makes it hilarious
MIRRORS, MIRRORS EVERYWHERE: 10
5. i’m already really fond of rohrbach and charlie the m.e. i know s2’s slate is already really crowded, but i wouldn’t mind seeing a resurrected rohrbach make an appearance, and for bit more of a spotlight on dick’s day job.
6. OH MAN i honestly didn’t remember that dick phoned alfred this episode! and that he considered—for a second—calling bruce! poor guy’s genuinely scared. for all his ‘fuck batman’s, dick’s anger and fear is more internally directed than he realises. this boy needs therapy.
6.5. dick going “… obviously” at rachel telling him not to get pineapple on their pizza makes me think he was definitely setting out to get pineapple on their pizza at that moment.
6.75. oh fuck. i knew it was coming, but that dead guy screaming at rachel through the photo was still terrifying. man i wish they’d stuck a little longer with the horror/mystery vibe they’ve got going here.
MIRRORS, MIRRORS EVERYWHERE: 11
6.8. dick immediately reaching out to hold rachel and comfort her as she sobs, terrified, in the bathtub shouldn’t feel particularly special or heartwarming—it’s a very natural, human instinct, after all—but for this particular version of dick grayson to automatically show this compassion when he’s half convinced himself that his lifetime as a vigilante has left him an amoral husk of his previous self… is significant.
7. it’s an interesting choice to go with the nuclear family as the first major villains featured on this show, but fits totally with the tone so far—the dark, despairing and dank things that hide underneath a cracking veneer of cheery suburban normality. pretty standard horror genre stuff—with an added twist that these people aren’t actually androids, but regular people horrifically tortured and brainwashed to act as murder machines.
7.5. aside from that, it’s a neat contrast to the found family that’s actually starting to evolve, with all of its rough edges and imperfect but raw displays of love.
8. i really like that, for all that rachel and dick have in common, their interaction is weird, start-stop in nature, each dancing around answering the others’ questions with any kind of honesty. rachel has clearly picked up on dick’s caginess around her and dick, for all that he’s been trained in subterfuge and basically been living a lie to most of his friends and co-workers, is unable to keep acting like he knows what he’s doing. he hasn’t had to really live a double life in a while—and he’s rusty when it comes to doing anything that’s not detective or vigilante work.
8.5. dick’s interactions in general through the series contrast with the easy and intimate ways the others talk with each other; he’s just so isolated and so friggin rusty at this.
9. you’d think rachel would’ve figured out by now not to shake random people’s hands.
9.25. i’m so happy about this show’s commitment to showing just how much of a hot mess dick is.
9.35. i’ve certainly warmed up to the icy, washed-out way this show looks, and the general sense of… space, both in terms of physical space as well as the way each scene is allowed to unfold and just breathe. you don’t get that a lot in superhero media these days.
9.45. an update to the dick grayson timeline! dawn says she hasn’t seen dick in four years and seems genuinely surprised to learn that he’s working with the police now. so how do you go from zero to detective in just four years? is that even possible? the timeframe becomes even shorter if you assume that he only decided to join law enforcement after leaving batman. maybe that’s just another thing that dick kept hidden from his friends, even when they were, you know, friends.
anyway, dick continues to be a hot mess, and i am glad that is consistent over every on-screen iteration.
9.5. i am genuinely unsure why this dick/dawn history exists other than to create some weird conflict between hank and dick. i’d much rather that conflict come from dick being an asshole generally and dropping all contact with his friends when it all became just Too Much To Deal With.
10. OH MAN so him contacting alfred was to arrange a big sum of money to pay off hank and dawn?? yep, dick is 100 percent bruce wayne’s protégé. i’m sure he also thinks of this as a way to help hank recover and for hank and dawn to rebuild their post-vigilantism life. this is a terrible way to deal with your guilt, my friend.
and i love that all of this—the mistakes he’s making with rachel despite his genuine concern for and desire to help her, the way he’s unable to really talk to her instead of at her, his false platitudes when he thinks he has nothing to say—is a plausible reflection of the ways bruce floundered with him when he first took dick in. dick has spent so, so long as bruce’s sole heir; though i’m sure they learned to communicate better, the core dysfunction of his relationship with bruce is embedded in his bones.
but the show is clearly setting up the dick-rachel relationship to evolve—and in doing so, have dick come to terms with his own relationship with bruce, instead of spinning increasingly bitter and dark memories of it in his head.
all said, tho: what a dick move. in every sense of the word.
11. aaand here’s why i never understand criticism of this show that says dick is too dark: it’s just so typical of him to hold himself to insane standards and just cut loose and run whenever he feels he’s failed those standards. it’s why he’s always among the first choices to lead a team but his leadership almost never sustains very long. it’s why he’s everybody’s friend but so desperately, desperately alone, especially when it’s his turn to spiral and need help. it’s why when he is spiralling, he adopts spectacularly self-destructive methods to do so. standing aside while zucco died is essentially his (infamous) blockbuster moment, when he so egregiously compromised his moral code that he was forced to re-evaluate the very core of what he’d identified as for decades. he hates himself, but he splits the blame, recognising the very real damage being robin did to him but pinning everything that’s wrong with him on it.
this tracks with every version of dick grayson that i can think of, bar the golden age/silver age comics, more contemporary nightwing runs—especially after his stint as batman with damian as robin—where he’s matured a bit and more level-headed, and, of course, fanon.
11.5. but while dick is wrestling with himself, actual people do get hurt and lost on the wayside. i’m glad that this show is not shying away from showing that.
12. maaan you really, really didn’t have to do this to anyone, leave alone someone as prominent in nightwing’s history as amy rohrbach. still holding out hope that she’ll return somehow next season.
13. rachel using dick’s own words to get him to help hank and dawn… oh fuck yes.
13.5. to be perfectly honest, i quite enjoyed robin as this menace in the shadows, taking thugs down brutally when they can’t even see him. you never see hyper-competent robin on-screen anymore.
13.75. also? hank and dawn’s genuine horror at his brutality is another giant indicator that this is not a dick grayson who’s functioning optimally, by any standard. he needs a place to start growing from, and this is it.
14. dick getting called out on his bullshit is pretty satisfying to watch, no lie.
14.5. i’d forgotten just how brutally the nuclear family defeat hank, dawn, and dick. yikes.
14.8. that last shot of dick desperately trying to save dawn’s life while having flashbacks to his own parents falling to their deaths is so fucking haunting, holy shit.
15. that was… honestly so good, you guys! i remember seeing this episode for the first time and feeling a little irritated with the languid pacing and the way it seemed sort of like filler. but there’s so much great stuff that stands out to me on re-watch—this show genuinely rewards multiple viewings, even when you know what’s coming next.

Why is Bare: A Pop Opera not as super popular as Dear Evan Hansen or Be More Chill? The fandom loves LGBT rep (which Bare has) and the songs are amazing and I think B:APO is actually superior to both of those. Thoughts? I mean the musical fandom tends to try to find LGBT characters even when they aren't stated, so why do you think Bare is not as popular?
this is a very interesting question and I am hopefully going to do it justice by analyzing Fandom, Musical Writing, and Many Other Things I’m Super Passionate About
the short: many factors and a lot of luck
the unnecessarily long:
(opening disclaimer: I love dear evan hansen and be more chill, and I’m not upset that they’re popular musicals because I feel that they’re popular for a reason. anything that sounds like an insult in the following response isn’t such because I truly enjoy both of those musicals a lot)
(another disclaimer: spoilers for bare, DEH, and BMC, also mentions of homophobia)
on paper, bare seems like the exact sort of musical that would be popular. bare the musical (cursed as it is) has a cast of super popular actors like Barrett Wilbert Weed, Gerard Canonico, Taylor Trensch, Alice Lee, Alex Wyse, a high quality bootleg exists of the 2013 LA cast, it’s got LGBT+ rep, complex women characters… and yet it’s got a tiny fan base. Why?
first let’s look at why dear evan hansen and be more chill are popular. I’m more well versed in bmc, so let’s look at its history (disclaimer: I’m estimating dates but this is roughly the timeline)
the original bmc run was in 2015 I believe. they recorded a soundtrack, everything was fine, and they closed. in 2017, people began discovering the soundtrack in hoards. specifically, they were discovering one song: Michael in the bathroom. that’s even how I learned about the show- I heard that song and had to look up the rest of the soundtrack. and in February of 2019, they’ll start previews on broadway because the fandom was revived
why this song? I think a ton of fame comes from talent, yes, but also from luck. I think bmc was lucky that Michael in the bathroom, a great song, was discovered as the great song that it is. I also think the fame came because that song is super relatable. as someone with pretty bad anxiety, that song really touched me because I’ve definitely spent parties hiding in the bathroom and avoiding everyone and wishing I was dead because I’m so overwhelmed with anxiety. it’s relatable, so people flocked to it.
this made me pause to think “what is bare’s hook song” my first thought was a quiet night at home if we want a song in the same vein as MITB, but that song isn’t as hype as MITB (and fandoms don’t care about fem characters as much as it cares about masc characters). my next thought was are you there because I think it’s a bop and a relatable “pls someone help” kind of song, but I don’t know which song everyone could relate to as much as everyone could relate to MITB
and speaking of relatable content- that’s where the DEH connection comes in. dear evan hansen is similarly relatable, although it takes that to an extreme given what Evan does as a result of his anxiety. Michael and Evan are relatable characters, even if you don’t condone everything they do (and if you condone everything Evan does, we have much to talk about)
but doesn’t bare have relatable characters?? absolutely !! there’s Peter, a closeted gay kid who wants to come out, and Jason, someone who acts tough but is secretly very insecure, and Nadia, with her body image issues, and Ivy, who people won’t take seriously because they’ve decided they already know her, and so many other complex characters. so why are they left behind?
let’s look at bare’s history:
bare was originally written in the 90s (I want to say 1999, but I could be wrong) the performance most people consider the quintessential bare performance was in 2004 with Michael Arden, John Hill, Jenna Leigh Green, etc.
if you compare this to DEH and BMC, the first issue is clear. DEH was hugely popular around 2016. BMC began to grow in popularity in 2017. these are very, very new shows. 20 years doesn’t sound like a lot, but in our current age where time seems to pass so quickly which each new fad, bare seems like an older musical, and a lot of people aren’t the biggest fan of older musicals. and they don’t have to be !! but it’s a personal preference of some people that could affect how they view bare as a potential musical to be a fan of
in terms of the music of bare, it’s definitely catchy, but it’s not like a pop song. (again, no shade at DEH and BMC because those aren’t jukebox musicals or anything). bare is simply not as easy to listen to as DEH and BMC are in my opinion (and it’s not the most complicated thing ever either, but holy cow its lyrics are smart and I have to throw that in here)
now let’s look at reasons why people may not want to watch bare. while it is great that it has canon gay characters, compelling women characters, and is very cleverly written it also has issues that can be turn-offs to people. this includes:
-bury your gays
-gay-guy-cheats-on-boyfriend-with-girl trope
-gay-guy-gets-outed trope
-and potentially other homophobic tropes
I’m not shaming bare for perpetuating these tropes because it was written 20 years ago, and lgbt+ people are allowed to enjoy media in spite of its perpetuation of negative tropes, but for some people these things are enough to turn them away. and I don’t blame them! I watched bare the musical before I watched bare a pop opera, and when Jason I died I closed out of YouTube without finishing the show because I was so Sick of bury your gays.
I am aware that there are reasons Jason died at the end of bare (they’re making a statement about how homophobia kills, particularly how homophobic religious people can have an awful affect on young religious gay people), but there comes a time when “reasons for a gay character to die” is just too much. sometimes, you just want the gay character to live, and I completely respect that notion because I felt the exact same way when I watched bare the musical. I remember when I first watched bare the musical I wrote a thread about how as a Romeo and Juliet adaptation, bare follows some things closely (like death at the end) while avoiding other extremes (Romeo running off to another country) and I thus felt the death was unnecessary. if someone else feels similarly about being sick of gay characters dying, they have every right to not want to watch bare
that’s enough on why someone might not want to watch bare. let’s get back to bare vs DEH and BMC
I also think a big aspect of fandoms is shipping. the fetishization of MLM (and consequently ignoring fem characters completely, along with focusing solely on white men for their shipping and ignoring men of color) is a huge problem in fandoms that I could talk about forever, but for the sake of this response, I’ll keep it a bit shorter
DEH and BMC profit heavily off of shipping in terms of gaining popularity. people love Evan x Connor (and other ships but that’s the main one I see), and people love Jeremy x Michael (and others). so why then do people not care about bare, a show with a canon relationship between 2 basic white men, which is their ultimate goal?
I think people like the idea of these mlm ships more than canon content. if there’s canon, it’s harder for them to make a variety of ships because it feels like everything else has to rotate around the canon without touching it (which is where the bare fandom gets Matt x Lucas because they’re the closest they have to 2 basic men- I can write my criticism of them another time though)
I’ve also seen posts saying that things with canon lgbt+ characters sometimes have smaller fandoms because there is no need for lgbt+ theorizing- it’s right there, and if you want lgbt+ content, watch the thing. I don’t necessarily agree with this for myself (I’ll reblog every pilgrim’s hands gifset I see) but I can definitely see how other people might think this way
failing to hype up stuff with lgbt+ characters can have a negative impact. BMC is the prime example of how a show can be revived by its passionate fan base. if people aren’t talking about bare, it’s not going to spread like other shows do
this is kind of all over the place but anyway- I want to talk about characters more. one thing DEH and BMC have are great, complex characters that are very easy to boil down to a fandom’s favorite stereotypes. I am absolutely not saying DEH and BMC have simple characters because I think all of them have layers; however, fandoms do love to go “this is precious cinnamon roll who can do no wrong and this is evil awful terrible irredeemable person” and it’s a bit difficult to do that with bare.
you can say Peter is your perfect son, but he does try to force Jason out before he’s ready. you can say Ivy is the evil seductress trying to tear apart your gay babies, but I will physically fight you. there aren’t any black-and-white good or bad bare characters (except Father Flynn- hate him), which doesn’t fit in line with the way fandoms function. sweeping generalizations about the current state of society based on the internet are exhausting and bad, but we do live in an age where everything must either be perfect or evil, and you can’t do that with bare. no one “did nothing wrong uwu” and that’s what fandoms Want
(note: they will excuse wrong actions, such as everything wrong Connor Murphy has ever done, if the character is played by a mildly attractive guy they want to ship with another mildly attractive guy)
another point that I don’t have fully fleshed out thoughts on enough to devote too much time to is the integration of parents into the shows. in both DEH and BMC, the parents get redemption arcs. in bare, Claire does say she love Peter at the end, but she’s much less of a sympathetic character than Mr. Heere or Heidi (that’s her name right- Evan’s mom) or the Murphys. when I was younger, I wasn’t allowed to watch anything that painted parents, or adults in general, in a negative light, but maybe that’s not a universal experience
this is getting way too long and it probably has more thought put into it than what was necessary, so I’ll try to close this quickly
I think, first off, that DEH and BMC completely deserve the hype that they have received. they’ve got compelling stories, interesting characters, and fantastic soundtracks. I also think that luck factors heavily into them getting what they deserve. there are plenty of great shows, like bare and the boy who danced on air and spies are forever and probably more that I’m not thinking of, that have great music and characters and story that, out of sheer chance, don’t get the chance they should have been given. there is no bulleted list someone can follow and at the end they’ll be on broadway with an armful of tonys; is the luck of the draw, and bare has not been afforded that chance
I’ll end with some reasons why anyone who happened to read this but might not be a bare fan should listen to or watch bare:
- it is an amazingly clever show; every time I watch it or listen to it, I realize another moment of foreshadowing or a line I originally brushed off was actually very significant or there’s another recurring motif/theme in the music
- it’s full of bops (go listen to you and I or are you there or portrait of a girl)
- canon gay characters in a canon gay relationship
- 3 dimensional fem characters that actively criticize stereotypes
- it’s about a religious gay boy who grapples with his religion and his sexuality and how those two things can coexist
- it is Very Very Good
in conclusion: bare is very good and deserves attention xx

Let me just review Resident Evil 8 here, gonna be a long one, gonna break this down section by section also spoilers of course.
INITIAL VILLAGE: I liked this section, the atmosphere was great, although I had played through the exact section in the demo, so there wasn't a huge challenge in figuring out what to do, nonetheless, really good
CASTLE DIMITRESCU: This section was really cool, I have not yet played the remake of RE2, so this was my first encounter with these long winding interconnected paths. The castle itself was really nice looking, if there weren't 4 insane blood eating monsters living there I would love to live in the castle. The daughters are also especially creepy, mostly because of how much they laugh and say creepy things. I do quite literally hate Lady Dimitrescu herself solely because of the internets response to her, like people wouldn't shut up about her.
SECOND VILLAGE: This part was a lot shorter, but the first encounter with that wolf like creature which I believe happens here, was a rather large surprise
HOUSE BENEVIENTO: Dear. God. This section was amazing, the tension of having no weapons but knowing you are able to hide in the closets, meaning something was bound to come after you was terrifying. Donna herself is quite a cool character too, I like the mystery surrounding her, probably my favorite lord, although closely followed by Heisenberg.
But the baby, dear God the baby is hands down the scariest part of the game, much scarier than anything in RE7 by a mile. And the boss was really cool. I've seen it get flak for being not a true bossfight, but the entire section of the game was not traditional.
THE WATERWAYS: This part was sort of underwhelming. Moreau himself was a sympathetic character in the sense that he is the least favorite of Mother Miranda. But, not to sound harsh, he sorta should be. He isn't super interesting like the other lords, Dimitrescu with the fact that she is actually quite scary when she starts chasing you, Beneviento with, well, everything, and Heisenberg with his overall awesomeness. Moreau is just sort of gross, I will say his boss form is cool. The one stand out moment for me is the first encounter with his boss form where you are dashing across the low bridges avoiding him, that was fun.
LYCAN DEN: This part was way too short, the lycans are my favorite general enemy of the entire franchise. They have a strange intelligence level higher than the zombies, they scout you out on roofs, they use weapons. As such it's incredibly underwhelming how short their designated section was so short. The boss at the end was a bit underwhelming too, should have been an enemy rush imo.
FACTORY: This section was cool, Heisenberg himself is awesome, and the things he was doing with the corpses of the townspeople, making the soldats, made for some cool enemies. And the level design is maze like and easy to get lost in, which I actually like.
The bossfight was a bit easy, like I played on standard, struggled with Dimitrescu and Moreau, beat Heisenberg first try, probably because of the self propelled artillery thing.
CHRIS' SECTION: I see this section get hated on because of how much it is like COD, but I feel like it was a nice release. I spent a lot of time in the factory running from the soldats because of the ammo requirement to kill them, so it felt nice to have a section where I didn't need to worry about ammo.
The rematch with the Lycan boss (because, let's face it, that's what it is) is cool, mostly the same thoughts as before but I like being able to use the artillery on him.
FINAL BOSS: Dude this was great, such a good final boss, it was rather tough too, granted I only died once, I still died. Miranda is such a cool character and all her forms looked amazing.
STORY: The story in this game was amazing, the two big reveals at the end were so shocking. Ethan being dead since Biohazard was something I could never have expected l. And then the reveal about the foundation of Umbrella was sick too.
And then the ending, it really made me sad, for some reason I don't cry during media, but when I read "The father's story is now done" it really made me sad. Makes me excited for RE9, whenever that happens.
OVERALL THOUGHTS: I really enjoyed Biohazard, and seeing the trailers for Village, it looked like Biohazard but better in every way, and I was correct. 9/10

Headcanon for drake and mc?
Dearest anon,
I was secretly hoping someone would ask me. Sure, let me just uh place this super long thing here.
How do they feel about people shorter/taller than them? Drake doesn’t feel particular about it either way; mostly because he doesn’t care about what most people think of him or care about most people in general. Robyn hates it when people are taller than her (she’s a bit above the average height), and the fact that Drake towers over her, only gets on her nerves when he teases her about it.
What are they like on social media? (What’s their username, profile pic, etc.): Robyn’s social media highlights what she loves about New York and Cordonia. Her favourite spots, her favourite people. It’d be cluttered with that. Her profile picture is a photo of her and Drake, both sharing a bottle of whiskey. Drake’s rare full-out grin would be present as they clink glasses. When anyone asks, she’ll say it’s his two biggest weaknesses all in one photo. All of Drake’s social media accounts are private and he rarely ever posts. If you’re on his friend-list you’ll see a post from him once every month, or even less. But he’s got a photo of a drunkenly flushed Robyn, sticking out her tongue at him as his profile picture.
Their sexuality? Based on Drake’s previous romance history, I HC him as heterosexual there’s a possibility he isn’t but unless otherwise stated by pb and Robyn is also attracted to the opposite sex.
Preferred weather? They both prefer hot and sunny weather. Robyn genuinely enjoys being outside for all sorts of different activities. Drake prefers long days but mostly for horseback riding, and spending the night by a familiar bar. But when the weather’s bad, he enjoys it too - just so he can spend time at home without having to make up an excuse.
What’s their sleeping schedule? Robyn’s sleep schedule is chaotic - sometimes she’ll only get 4 hours of sleep and other times she’ll get at least 6. Drake’s sleep schedule also fluctuates depending on the day of the week, and depending on how stressed he is. They only get a solid 8 hours if they fall asleep together.
Favorite music? Drake likes a little bit of everything. He listens to a lot of alternative country and rock. Robyn prefers old school r&b and hip hop. So, naturally they argue about who gets to pick the music at home and when they’re driving off somewhere.
How’s their cooking? Robyn’s cooking is awful. Everyone knows it. She often adds her own little ingredients instead of sticking strictly to the recipe, and usually underestimates the time it takes to finish something in the oven. She manages okay when Drake supervises, but he’s the chef in their home. He’s made cooking seem almost natural. Self preservation to be able to take care of himself.
It’s movie night, what movie do they pick? They alternate. Drake doesn’t have a preference, but does enjoy horrors when they aren’t terribly done (mostly because Robyn will cower and bury her face into his shoulder, and snuggle close when the movie gets really scary). Robyn is a sucker for romance, so she’ll often opt for a chick flick or something with heavy romantic subtext. Usually, they alternate between every other movie night. Except when Maxwell’s over to visit - he usually gets dibs.
How would they hold up in a pillow war? They’re both strong and often times it ends in a tie, with both of them surrendering. Mostly, it’s because they’ll get distracted and before long their pillow fight turns into Robyn straddling Drake. Then one thing leads to another and…
What’s their sleeping position? Robyn likes sleeping on her side, with a pillow tucked behind her head. Drake usually spoons behind her before resting his chin by the crook of her shoulder.
Who do they go to for comfort? Drake doesn’t really go to anyone for comfort except for Liam and Robyn. Although it takes awhile for him to open up; eventually he seeks out Robyn first (and that gesture alone means so much to her). Robyn doesn’t really seek anyone out. She’s always the person people go to comfort for, so very rarely does she allow herself to grieve. She feels everything, except it simmers inside and keeps herself busy and distracted until she can’t anymore. But in her worst moments, Drake has always been there to cradle her inside his arms and listen; whether or not she’s venting or crying.
Something small that they enjoy? Drake enjoys the time he gets to spend alone with his nephew. He cherishes that alone time with someone that gets to know him from the very beginning. That gets to see the softer side of himself which isn’t always easy for most people to see. Robyn enjoys photography alone. She does a lot of things with other people, so snapping pictures at something that catches her eye is her alone time. She still dances and does ballet on her own too, but it’s bittersweet instead of being for pure enjoyment.
How do they feel about physical contact by others? Drake doesn’t like it. He prefers his personal space, and the only people he allows to invade that are usually just his best friend, and Robyn. They’re the two people he trusts the most. Robyn’s the opposite; she enjoys even the simplest of gestures with friends and family - whether its hugging, holding hands with Drake or throwing her shoulder over Maxwell’s or Hana’s if they’re having a good night.
What is enough to bring them to tears? What Drake calls overly dramatic and romantic gestures in movies, Robyn calls a “good cry”. Nothing really brings Drake to tears because he makes a good show of shutting himself off before it comes to that. Very rarely has Robyn even seen him even cry.
Biggest pet peeve? Drake’s biggest pet peeve are messes and meeting people. Sometimes when Robyn leaves, behind her there’s a crazy mess - as if a tornado has struck their quaint home and usually Drake has to clean up because she forgets. He’s also very averse to meeting people without claiming terrible first impressions of them. (He’s working on it). Robyn’s biggest pet peeve are people that generally don’t seem to care about anything or anyone (ironically why she and Drake never got along well to begin with).
How well do they take care of themselves? They’re both pretty self-sufficient. Robyn learned to take care of herself from a young age and her mother. Drake’s spent his whole life looking out for his sister, and his mom. Now that he’s by himself, he’s had to slowly learn how to take better care of himself.
What’s something they like that may be surprising to others? Drake’s very friendly once he considers someone apart of his close circle of friends. He goes out of his way for them, just to make sure they’re okay. Robyn likes to have fun and drink - but she’s a light-weight, and drinks way too much if someone doesn’t stop her.
Do they consider others family? Drake doesn’t consider most people family. It takes years of building trust and a relationship before they can even come close to that title. Robyn’s circle of friends doesn’t extend by much, but she does consider most of the people in her life as family.
Any bad habits that they have? Robyn tends to leave messes everywhere she goes. It’s only because she gets caught up in one thing before moving to something else just as quickly - she knows it’s been tough on Drake, and promises him she’ll do better. Drake has a tendency to ignore most people and his first impression of them makes it difficult for someone to get in his good graces. The more Robyn rubs off on him, the more he’s trying to give people a second chance. Sometimes (very reluctantly) a third chance.
What’s their idea of a perfect vacation? Being somewhere where everyone else isn’t - renting a cabin away from the rest of the world, horseback riding everyday - camping off somewhere with only the two of them; would be some of Drake’s ideas as an ideal vacation. Traveling and seeing the world she’d always dreamed of before moving from New York has been Robyn’s idea of a perfect vacation for a long time. They settle for a compromise and rent places a little out of the way from tourist attractions, once they decide to explore the world together.
Do they get lost easily? Will they ask for directions if they are? Robyn’s terrible memory makes it easy for her to get lost. Although, she doesn’t mind asking for directions because she’s usually friendly. Drake rarely ever gets lost; before they’ve decided on going anywhere - he’s already gotten a map of the place and has memorized the closest things in walking distance.
The strangest thing they have ever seen? They both agree that it’s probably something that has to do with courtly life in Cordonia, even if they can never remember at the time.
How well do they accept advice? Robyn accepts advice in stride, because she’s earnest in trying to always be better at anything and everything. Drake doesn’t really care for it, but is open for advice.
How much do they swear? Robyn swears like a sailor when things are going badly in her life, or whenever she’s drunk - otherwise she doesn’t. Drake doesn’t make a habit of swearing but every now and then it happens.
How do they take advice given to them? Robyn takes advice well, because she’s always looking for ways to improve; especially when it comes to something she loves. It’s hard to tell if Drake accepts advice well, because he doesn’t make a habit of letting people know.
Do they like being in pictures? Drake hates being in pictures; he’s always trying to move intentionally instead of standing still or tackle Robyn whenever she picks up her camera. He’s also likely to hide his face unless she gets to sneak a picture of him. Robyn on the other hand, loves being in pictures.
Is there anything they’re bad at? Robyn likes to think she’s good at everything until Drake reminds her of her terrible cooking, and her overwhelmingly optimistic views. Drake knows he’s awkward at sometimes flirting and general romance but Robyn thinks these are adorable things about him.
What’s their morning schedule? They’re both up early in the morning. Drake likes to go for a run and sometimes Robyn joins him or paints/read instead, until he gets back home.
Any past injuries? Robyn has bad ankles that act up every now and then and bruises on her feet because of all those years she spent dancing. Drake doesn’t have any dire or very noticeable injuries apart from marks here and there from camping and getting into trouble with Liam when they were younger.
Something that disgusts them? Fancy finger food. They prefer “real” food.
Thank you so much for the ask anon! I’m always more than happy to write about these two. 😊

Meta
Character: (Supporting character) He is more mischievous than Aldora,(they often team up) radiates little brother energy despite the fact he is the oldest in the group. Often trolls the group, a huge trouble maker and an attention seeker. He is the type to never settle ,he moves around often and is a social butterfly. Although he is quite friendly and fun he never really is an open person.
Background:  He had a broken family, both his mother and father being abusive towards him and his sibling. They often come home drugged up. After he turned 18 he took it upon himself to leave the household with his little sister. He dropped out of high school and worked multiple part time jobs for 3 years of his life. He did his best to provide for his little sister until she could finish high school. His sister now works as a model and provides for him, she is working her way up so that she and her bother could live comfortably. After she rose as a super model, He continued to work for at least a year more, until she told him that she earned enough money for the both of them. His connections to people were endless, thus making him a good intel for mafia gangs. They took him, took advantage of his weak spots. He now works for the mafia in secret (sister doesn't know).
Canon
credits to @nothingbutprompts for the questions.
How do they feel about people shorter/taller than them? -Hes almost the same height as Aldora just a little taller. He doesnt really care about height unless its in combat. Since hes on the shorter side of the spectrum its really easy for him to slip away.
What are they like on social media? (What’s their username, profile pic, etc.) -Much like Baine, he trolls a ton of people on the internet but in a much more questionable way, he has scammed old men thinking they were talking to a young woman (as you should Meta), Scammed scammers and even caught online pedos for the heck of it, Stealing money from their bank too. This isnt even half of the things hes done, anymore info about it and he might end up in jail. He doesnt have a internet footprint, he does have a nokia, just cause he thinks its funny.
Their sexuality? -All of my characters are straight, I think it would really affect me if I made them anything other than straight. Hes very close with his roommate. He doesnt think much about sex (due to PTSD). Is ultimately “asexual” and basically doesnt believe that sex really does anything to a relationship.
Preferred weather? -Stormy, hes the weird dude you see laying in the middle of the park in the rain.
What’s their sleeping schedule? -Mostly Graveyard hours. You can tell he doesnt sleep at all though. He lives on monster drinks and red bull.
Favourite music? -He likes Pink Guy.
How’s their cooking? -Does making a mud pie count?
It’s movie night, what movie do they pick? -Probably some satanic movie just for shit and giggles.
How would they hold up in a pillow war? -Going ham on everyone constantly ripping pillows cause of how much hes been wacking em.
What’s their sleeping position? -He could occupy a king sized bed by the way he sleeps, he also gets night terrors, farts in his sleep and talks in his sleep.
Who do they go to for comfort? -His roommate.
Something small that they enjoy? -That moment where everyone just gets along and he feels as if no one isnt going to ruin it, until he thinks NO ONE IS GOING TO RUIN THISS???? and proceeds to make a "hilarious" joke.
How do they feel about physical contact by others? - He doesnt like being touched and only lets 3 specific people hug him/ touch him in a platonic way.
What is enough to bring them to tears? -Nothing hes emotionally numb thanks to trauma :(.
Biggest pet peeve? - People touching him even if its a poke, he would definitely pull a gun on you if you try.
How well do they take care of themselves? -Not so well, he sleeps in McDonalds when hes too lazy to go home. That says enough.
What’s something they like that may be surprising to others? -Making plushies, like actual well done plushies. He could sell em and people would be genuinely curious where you bought it.
Do they consider others family? -Only a few.
Any bad habits that they have? - Not eating for several days (only cause he was poor and is used to not eating most of the time)
What’s their idea of a perfect vacation? -Just laying in his house watching the office seems perfect to him.
Do they get lost easily? Will they ask for directions if they are? -He rarely gets lost, know every shortcut and where alleyways leads to "for no reason"
The strangest thing they have ever seen? - A huge ass pimple on his butt crack.
How well do they accept advice? -Only his Roommate gives him advice no one really cares enough to advice him.
How much do they swear? -Just as much as Aldora
Do they like being in pictures? -He hates it.
Is there anything they’re bad at? -Socialising properly.
What’s their morning schedule? -Chugging 5 cans of Monster drink and forgetting to put on pants.
Any past injuries? -Multiple fractures even broke his neck once.
Something that disgusts them? - Pooping in the shower.

Ducky Dollars Review and Bonuses by Oscar
Tumblr media
If a totally objective review of Ducky Dollars is just what the doctor ordered, you couldn't have stumbled upon a better review! My name is Oscar, and I run Internet Marketing Maestro. It's really awesome that you're here.If you're someone who is looking to live life on your own terms by making money online, then you should really find the following review quite helpful. It's now time to scrutinize the heck out of Dawud Islam's Ducky Dollars. It's time to find out if it's actually worth a damn. And if you'd be better off avoiding it, I'll absolutely say so! ;)So let's get started!...
Ducky Dollars - What Is It?
Dawud Islam created Ducky Dollars to help people make money online with social media. The ability to easy to set up using a top secret site is the big claim made on Ducky Dollars's sales page. Let's see if this type of achievement is realistic for you. But I digress...Ducky Dollars is a 10 over the shoulder videos that teaches you how to use a secret social media website to promote more multiple offers in a link instead of just one. You'll also get a handful of bonuses from Dawud, including live training with 7 figure super affiliate, reseller rights to 12 of Dawud's products, and a massive bundle of 35 products. I find these bonuses to be quite relevant, and they really seem to sweeten the pot. I also have some amazing bonuses of my own to offer you should you decide to buy Ducky Dollars through my link today. Before long, I'll be sharing those details with you. It's first time to take a closer look at Ducky Dollars itself...
How Much Will Ducky Dollars Cost Me?
Hey, it's a fair question. So why not just get it out of the way? I don't believe in prices being kept a mystery until the very end. As this review is being written, the price of Ducky Dollars is $14.95. This is the price as of this writing, anyway. I believe Dawud plans to raise it soon.
Will I Be Offered Upsells After Buying Ducky Dollars?
After purchasing Ducky Dollars, you will be presented with as many as 5 OTO's. Included among these are Ducky Dollars PRO Version for $37, Steal Our Traffic at $197, Reseller Rights at $37, DFY Campaigns at $197, and VIP Package at $37.These are "value-added" upsells, meaning that getting them should help you to enjoy even greater success with the main product. But I seriously doubt that you'll need ANY of them in order for Ducky Dollars to give you some good results. What I'm saying is, Dawud's main product SHOULD play an important role in your success right out of the box. The question is... is it actually GOING to?
Ducky Dollars Review... Will It Actually Work?
Straight to the point. Can you really expect Ducky Dollars to make you money? The truth is... it depends largely on you. I am pretty compelled by the proof that Dawud Islam shares on the sales page. The reality that I've personally seen is that more times than not, a system will totally work, provided you're able and willing to put in the effort for an adequate amount of time. The problem is, a lot of programs are seriously inefficient. They likely also require a ridiculous amount of effort from you. It's just so easy to walk away in the search for something "faster" and "easier" when so much is expected of you without any guarantee of a payoff.I actually really like that Ducky Dollars is that its a complete course and it's not a 3 step process like all the courses and software that has came out recenlty. This is not one of those courses. If you want something that is genuine then you need to pick up courses from my friend Dawud. .The reality is, as long as you're willing to give it all you've got, you should be making money very rapidly. As long as you're willing to put in some initial effort, you'll likely be rewarded. :)So what kind of time frame can you expect to start making money within? As stated on the official product page, money may just start pouring into your account in around has been using this system all the time. Seems about right to me, having gone through the course firsthand. If that's something that you can live with, then this may be a purchase worth making.Understand that there are no income guarantees being made here. Individual results come to individual people. And this variance can be pretty substantial. With that said, I really believe that you'll do great with Ducky Dollars if you follow it with everything you've got!Of course, as with any program, there are certainly bad points to go with the good. So at this time, let's go ahead and look at both the good AND the bad points regarding Ducky Dollars. When we're finished with that, I'll go ahead and unveil my bonuses, which can greatly enhance your success with Ducky Dollars. :)
Ducky Dollars - What's Good:
This is a content course there are no magic buttons to make money online
This is a very good course for beginners because it is explained very well and very slow.
Over the shoulder video is always good so that people can learn so this was great.
Ducky Dollars -WHAT'S NOT SO GOOD:
Aktar's voice is a little monotone but she doesn't leave any stone un-turned.
It's missing where you are going to get the traffic from, yes you can put it on your social sites but if you don't have a following then you won't get traffic
Even thought the videos are short I belive they could have been shorter if the presenter would have talked a little faster
Now, these bad points aren't really deal breakers, in my opinion. But even with that being the case, I've decided to add a few bonuses of my own to ensure that you get maximum benefit out of this training. Included among these are...
YT SUPREMACY:
Tumblr media
In this bonus you are going to learn how to build a YouTube Authority channel, this is an academy and it will teach you everything.
Social Media Explosion:
Tumblr media
In this bonus you are going to learn how to explode your traffic in Facebook, Instagram,Twitter, YouTube, Linkden, and Pinterest.
Paid Traffic :
Tumblr media
In this bonus you are going to learn how to run ads on 3 networks so that you can send them to your secret site. Facebook Google and Banner Ads.
Marketing Automation:
Tumblr media
In this bonus you are going to learn how you can automate some of the daily work that ou are doing in your business.
When it's all said and done, I absolutely want for you take Ducky Dollars and make a fortune with it! I've designed this next-level bonus offer for this very reason. I do my best to avoid offering "25,000 value bonus package" nonsense, as this would only insult your intelligence and not really help you. These high-ticket, "too-good-to-be-true" types of bonuses comprised primarily of rehashed, outdated master resell rights trash. More often than not, these aren't designed to get you closer to your goal of actually making money online. My awesome bonuses, on the other hand, are. So if Ducky Dollars sounds like something that you can use in your own online money-making endeavors, then I encourage you to purchase it through this link right away. As a friendly reminder, this offer isn't gonna be available forever, so take advantage while you still can.Between Ducky Dollars and my bonuses, you're really being given a genuine opportunity to create a new life. Honestly, I think you'd be very wise to get in on this opportunity while you still can. Thanks yet again for taking a look at my Ducky Dollars review. I hope you've gotten a lot out of this. Now go get paid! - Oscar

This is why you ought to interlink posts on your website. Adding a link to an old post during a new one not helps readers to get more content on your site but also makes it easy for Google to crawl your new content quickly.

When writing a post, include links to other websites which will improve the reading experience and validate a number of the points you’ve got made. Google likes it once you are linking to high-value resources because it shows you’re looking to assist the reader even further. The Proposal (USA, 2009)
Tumblr media
Predictions: We had both already seen this movie and knew that it was acceptable. We remembered that Alaska was extremely beautiful, that there was a very cute dog, and that Ryan Reynolds was at some point naked. We also remembered that Funny or Die video of Betty White and Sandra Bullock taunting him on set.
Plot: Sandra Bullock is a Canadian Miranda Priestley at a publishing company, and Ryan Reynolds is her American assistant, whom she terrorizes with every breath. One day, however, the news arrives that Sandra Bullock's visa application has been denied, and she is about to be deported. Naturally, she decides that, instead of being deported, she will just marry Ryan Reynolds. He is understandably like, WTF???? NO, but she convinces him that his professional wagon is hitched to hers, so he'd better.
They go to see the immigration people, and Ryan Reynolds discovers that there could, of course, be terrible criminal consequences if they go through with this fraud. He wants to back out, but then he and Sandra Bullock come to an agreement wherein she will promote him, etc. Also, to persuade their immigration interviewer that their relationship is genuine, Sandra Bullock blurts out that they are going to visit his family in Beautiful Alaska. Um. So they go.
In Beautiful Alaska, Sandra Bullock discovers that Ryan Reynolds is super rich and also that his family is super sweet. Lots of shenanigans ensue, and she begins to have a change of heart. They also begin to get to know each other as people, which leads to ~complicated feelings. It probably also doesn't hurt that they accidentally see each other naked. (They are both in extremely good shape, for two people who supposedly spend their days sitting in an office drinking lattes and reading books.) Ryan Reynolds has a difficult relationship with his dad, and, for some reason, as a way of making up for his dad's unsupportiveness, his family is like, you guys should get married tomorrow, in the barn!!!! ...Oh. Okay. That seems -- not at all contrived.
Meanwhile, their excessively determined immigration official contacts Ryan Reynolds's dad, and he and Dad try to persuade Ryan Reynolds to give Sandra Bullock up. But he refuses. The barn wedding goes forth. But what's this???? Sandra Bullock can't go through with it???? Her heart of ice has thawed and she cannot drag Ryan Reynolds and his family into her life of crime after all???? She confesses the truth to the entire barn-congregation, and gets on a plane to leave.
Naturally, as soon as she's out the door, Ryan Reynolds realizes that he actually does love her, possibly, now! and chases her to the airport. But (surprisingly, for a romcom) he doesn’t make it in time, and her plane takes off without his getting to declare his love on the tarmac. Instead, he winds up chasing her down in the office, where she's packing to move to Canada, and, in front of all his bewildered coworkers, asks her to marry him for real, so that she will not be deported and they can, like, maybe go on a date sometime. The end.
Best Scene: Well, we don't love this movie, but we do love this trope. So pretty much any time they're getting caught in their house of lies, we enjoy. We also deeply enjoy this adorable fluffy dog, the real star of this film. In terms of specific scenes… Maybe some of the scenes in the beginning where they are negotiating their blossoming “romance” (lolz), that one scene in the bedroom where they actually talk and enjoy each other for the first time, and poooossibly the last thirty seconds of their love confession (most of that part is unbearable).
Worst Scene: Oh god. Obviously the scene where Sandra Bullock, biking through the forest, stumbles upon Betty White doing a Native dance and chant. The second half of this scene, in which Sandra Bullock starts singing and dancing to "Get Low," is actually pretty funny, but the whole premise is just...not okay. NOT OKAY, GUYS. Although we later find out that Betty White supposedly has a tiny bit of Native heritage, it is still...not okay. It is terrible.
Best Line: The humor in this movie is mostly concentrated in a) the premise and b) certain scenes, and some of it (racist stuff, the idea that old people can't be salty) really isn't our fave, but Ryan Reynolds does have a couple of early zingers that we enjoyed. Like, "Pine nuts, and the full spectrum of human emotion." (When Sandra Bullock asks him if he knows what she's allergic to.) And, "I can pretend to be the doting fiancé; that's easy. But for you, that's going to require that you stop snacking on children while they dream." (Self-explanatory.)
Worst Line: "We know you're incredibly busy with a room full of gardeners and delivery boys." -- Sandra Bullock, being super racist at the immigration office. While we know that this is likely intended as an example of how she starts the movie as an awful person, so we don't feel like the movie endorses this comment, it's still not an example we would have chosen, because racism is not the kind of terribleness that a weekend in Beautiful Alaska can cure.
Highlights of the Watching Experience: THE DOG. THIS IS THE CUTEST FUCKING DOG. THEY GOT HIM FROM THE POUND???? WHO WOULD ABANDON THIS DOG???????? Also, why are the three women Sandra Bullock spends most of her Beautiful Alaskan time with Ryan Reynolds's mom, grandmother, and EX-GIRLFRIEND???? Why was Malin Akerman his ex-girlfriend???? Wouldn't it have been just as easy and less weird for her to be his sister, since she's pretty much always somebody's sister???? And finally, the fact that Beautiful Alaska was in fact Beautiful Rockport, Massachusetts.
How Many POC in the Film: A surprising number, although not great roles. Sandra Bullock's crappy second-in-command, and many other employees at the publishing company, where we spent very little time. Both workers and immigrants at the immigration office. In Beautiful Alaska, some friends of Ryan Reynolds's parents, and the local stripper/cater waiter/general store manager/wedding officiant, Oscar Nuñez, whose whole role was...questionable. :|
Alternate Scenes: Okay, so. This movie had a lot of Bad Stuff we did not remember from our previous viewing/s. The Native references and that terrible scene, general weird racism (especially around the idea of immigrants and immigration), and like...a lot of unnecessary sexism???? All of these things served no plot purpose and were really disconcerting. So our ideal alternate version of this movie would REMOVE all of those things and be a much shorter, more pleasant watch.
Was the Poster Better or Worse than the Film: Worse, despite all the things we did not like about the movie. The poster really looks like Sandra Bullock is forcing Ryan Reynolds into a BDSM relationship, and Ryan Reynolds is not a consenting adult. At least, in the movie, while so many unfortunate things happened around them, the actual relationship and balance of power between Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, and the degree to which they both entered into this situation willingly, was fine. (NOT FINE IN REAL LIFE, GUYS, MIND. THIS WOULD NOT BE FINE IF IT HAPPENED TO YOU. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME, KIDS, ONLY IN ROMCOMS.)
Score: 5.5 out of 10 deportation-dodging smooches. It's so unfortunate, guys. This movie could have scored a lot higher, given the fantastic trope, except there were so many offensive things.
Ranking: 34, out of the 86 movies we’ve seen so far. Awwww, come on, The Proposal. So much wasted potential! It’s like you were the class valedictorian but decided to major in media studies and now work in a coffeeshop in Williamsburg. Your mother and I are both angry and disappointed.

A beginner’s guide to posting fanfic
Before beginning, first of all, this is not a guide to writing fanfic, of course. This is merely a compilation of tips and things I’ve learned on how to post fic and let more people find your workds, that I either learned from other people, or in time, since I’ve been publishing fanfic for a long time now, and regularly for two years. I am not an expert on anything, these are just my tips, and this may not be new or useful to anyone, but I’m not losing by anything sharing this! ^^
And now, let’s begin!
· The timezones and days.
When you’re beginning to publish fanfic and you don’t have people subscribed to your AO3 or an established group of readers, you need to give your fic visibility. A very easy way to do this is simply estimate when you’re publishing the fic, and how many people could lay their eyes upon it when you do. First of all, the days: I found that I had way more readers when I published something on Friday than any other day. It may not be instant, since some people go out on Friday, but it’s also easier to have free time on the weekend, and so people will have around 3 days to read your fic/update, whereas during the weekdays people might be working or studying and by the time it’s Friday, the fanfic has been buried under many other fics.
The other issue is the timezones. Timezones are HELL, we all know that, but I did some research when I began posting fic regularly, and I found that there is an hour when I could aim for almost all time zones (not all, but as many as I could). Since the language I write in is English, I always try to aim for the European + USA’s time zones, and I found that at 6-8pm (ish) my time zone (CEST), I could reach Europe and both USA’s coasts (in the east coast it’s around 1pm, and in the west coast 10pm, sort of. Here is a very good time zone converter if you want to make your own estimation). It’s probably not the best time for other parts of the globe, and maybe if you already live in the USA and you don’t care about reaching other time zones, this isn’t very useful to you, but it’s up to you if you want to aim for more time zones than yours ;)
· The tags.
The tags in a fic are very important for two main reasons: the first is because people need and want those tags. Fanfiction is about sharing and having fun, so nobody wants to read a work and find something that may traumatize or trigger them. That’s why tags are always important whether it’s fluff, daddy kink or noncon (especially with the heaviest kinks or tags; even if you’re very used to them, have in mind that not everyone likes the same stuff! And that’s the beauty of fanfic, there is something for everyone!). Be polite and always try to tag everything, even if you think it’s a spoiler for the story; if the fanfic is good, people will read it despite a few spoilers in the tags (and people who don’t want to be spoiled at all and don’t mind reading without tags, can choose to skip them); however, people might not read your fics again if you leave a fanfic untagged for something that triggers them.
The other reason is that tags will help people find your fanfics. Some people search for specific tags like ‘hand holding’ or ‘first kiss’, so even if you think “well, this is very obvious”, tag it! Like lube, there are never too many tags, so use them! ;)
· Less is more when it comes to titles.
The titles are one of the enemies of a fic writer (or, at least, it is one of mine). Sometimes you decide the title before even beginning the fic (rarely), other times it comes to you while writing it, and other times you finish the fanfic, you’re super happy about it, and then when you’re about to publish you realize: “I don’t have the damn title...”
So as a person that usually gives her fanfics very simple titles: don’t stress too much over giving your fic an incredibly meaningful title. I used to do this, and I ended up giving my fics very simple titles (I mean... Sensates... xD) and being very nervous about it, but then I realized it doesn’t matter that much. The least thing I care about a fanfic when I’m reading it, is the title, and so do most people. Yes, sometimes it’s cool having a title with double meaning that makes you go “ooooh, I get it now!” when you’re halfway through the story, but again: don’t stress too much over it. Just write, and worry about the title later, or just decide a simple one and throw the fic out into the world for people to enjoy it.
· Chapters/Fanfic Length.
This is something I only learned with time, and after publishing a fanfic with +10k words per chapter (yes... xD). If you’re publishing a fanfic, the chapters length is very important, both for the readers and for you.
From your point of view, the writer, it may not seem as important, but if you’re publishing/are planning to publish your fic as you write and edit it, it ends up being much easier and not as tiring to edit shorter chapters than a 14k words chapter (talking from my own experience). It becomes a very hard task, and you may skip more errors and typos if you’re editing something THAT long (and if you have a beta, same goes to them) than if you’re editing a much shorter thing.
From the point of view of the reader is even more important. In time, I’ve learned that people, including me, prefer a chapter that is neither too long nor too short. A short chapter may leave the reader thinking “that’s it??”, whereas a too long chapter may become tiring for the reader. Think of it as a tv show’s episode. When a show has +50 minutes episodes, sometimes you can’t watch it because you don’t have enough time, sometimes your attention span won’t let you watch more than half the episode before you start losing your interest (and not because it’s not good), and in the end, you can’t even remember what the last chapter was about. Same goes for fics; if the chapter is too long, you may lose the reader halfway through it, they may have to stop reading and resume later, and not remember where they were, etc. After asking people and a bit of intuition as a writer, I’ve learned that the ideal length for a fic/chapter is around 3k-6k words.
This, though, doesn’t mean that you have to write your fics being scared of exceeding or not reaching the number of words, at all. Writing has to be, above all, something that flows naturally. So if the story asks you for the chapter to be longer or shorter, let it be! To me, it ended up being organic, and when I end a chapter, it’s usually around that scale, but I never cut or add something from a chapter because of the number of words: the story is always the priority.
· The AO3 spaces of hell!
If you’ve published something on AO3, you’ve probably encountered the problem that when pasting your fic on it to post it, it looks a bit too much spaced. If that’s happened to you and you don’t know how to fix this, I have a quick and easy guide to solve this HERE.
I believe other people have other methods, or they write differently on Word so they don’t have the same problem, but if someone writes as I do and has the same problem, that guide will be your friend.
· Advertise through social media!
This may sound way too obvious, but if you want people to find and read your works, a very good way to advertise them is through Tumblr and Twitter. I know some readers navigate through the fandom or pairing’s tag directly on AO3, but a lot of other people don’t (like me), and they just read what they find through Tumblr, Twitter or recs. That’s why it’s good to post summaries and links of the fics on social media, so more people can find it.
And exactly as I said in the above section, always use tags. The same applies to Tumblr; people can blacklist the tags they absolutely don’t want to see, and other people like to search through the tags of the show or pairing, so make sure you add them! (Though I think Tumblr only searches for the first 20 tags, so if you add more, your post may not show up in the Tumblr search with those that exceed the first 20 tags!)
Another tip is, try to add pictures to those posts or tweets! Things with an image are always always more attractive to people, so either add an edit from photoshop, or if you don’t know how to use photoshop, a simple photo edited (or not) on your phone will do.
· Participate in the fandom’s events.
This is an individual decision, of course, but participating in your fandom’s events is always a very good way to “find new readers” (and also for yourself to find new fics and writers!).
In the case of my fandom, Hannibal, we have lots of events every single month. You can find the ones I help organize at @hannibalcreative, but I know there are many more you can find and participate in ;)
That’s all for now, I think! As I said, these are just *my* tips, so you may have other methods that work way better than mine :)

A Long Way Process called Learning
To be involved in my student’s learning process is totally something interesting, especially in early years of education. Alhamdulillah, I got chance to plunged directly in early childhood education field. Having experience of teaching little kids was widely different with the adolescent. It’s like you need a longer and complex process of learning even for a simple concept or value. Meanwhile for adolescent, just like in secondary or high level of primary, they can absorb some concepts in shorter time even that is a complex one, especially for higher achiever. But when you teach a little kid, you need to extend your patience and energy, because the process would be ten or even twenty times longer than the adolescent.
I still remember, when I was teaching kinder A students who were very young. They still adapted with the new environment outside their home. Just to be stayed at class independently (without their mom) was a big achievement for them. One of my students even needs more than 3 months to split out from the parents. They meet their first social environment at school. Of course it would not easy for them and us as a teacher. So we start to teach everything from the simplest thing.
It is not the same like when I still be a pre-service teacher (PPL) in secondary level, I mustn’t prepare much or study deeper about the concepts. Most of my time spent for thinking creatively how to deliver the lesson and preparing the learning media or tools we need in order to make them constantly focus to the lesson. It would be impossible for them to sitting down and listen to teacher more than five minutes, hahah. Yeah, you have to be very creative for this one, or soon you’ll see your student blowing up just like a pop corn in the hot pan (literally lol).
There are lots of values, rules, simple knowledge that given to the early years students and mostly it is only the basics. I learn how to enjoy the long way journey of educating. I should appreciate every progress they shown, even for a small thing that people do not recognize. I would be very glad to know when my student just cry 30 minutes shorter than yesterday, and of course there will be a sticker for that as an appreciation. “Waaah good job, tomorrow you may cry if you miss your mom, but only five minutes ya? And for the next day you will not cry anymore because you have been a super boy, here is the sticker for you”. I also feel grateful when I know that they can open their own snack without teacher’s help, wearing the shoes by themselves, say sorry when they hurting friend, always say salam when they meet the teachers and friends, could recognize numbers from 1-5, could distinguish between pet and farm animal, and so many simple progresses every day that make you happy. Those thingies sounds so simple right? But it takes at least a week or even a whole year, and sometimes you did not see anything changed.
I always convincing to myself, it is okay you do not see any changing after you teach this and that, perhaps it will appear next year when they in KG B, or when they entering primary, or even when they just grown up. All you have to do is giving and giving, teach them all of the good values you know and enjoy the process. Don’t worry, this is their golden age period whereas everything they see, they look, they feel and experienced will be recorded in their subconscious.  This experience opens my mind that the “main menu” for teacher is our involving in each process. And I think every teacher should be firm to their own self and of course the kids, that the most important thing of learning is the process itself, not the result.
Those statements remind me when I was having my first experience facing the tantrum kid just because of saying Basmallah. Never cross in my mind saying Basmallah would be such a tough matter for kid. Let me begin the story. At that time I just told my students to begin everything with basmallah. And every student followed it. We lined up in the front of the door before we go to the play ground, and saying basmallah together. Then, just call one of my students as C. C was coming late, because he just finished his snack. He said “Miss I want to play at playground”. “Of course you may, but before we go let’s say basmallah first”, I told him. “No I just want to go now”, he started to be angry. “Sorry C, you may go after say basmallah, okay?”. And finally his tantrum awaked. He cries so hard, kick everything, and screaming out. I tried my best to stay calm and not to be panic, and of course I didn’t because it’s my first time hehe. I took my time for a while, asking for Allah’s refuge, and finally I could tell gently, saying basmallah is good for him. One thousand reasons I told while I hold his leg and arm to not raging. He seems not listens at all and still cried loudly, but I was pretty sure that he caught up my advice well. This happened the same way for almost a week. The difference is the frequency of each day. His tantrum got shorter and more lenient day by day. As a consequence, he never played at play ground along that week. However, that is his process to be better. In the end of the week, he just came to me and said “I know miss, I have to say Basmallah before playing right? Bismillahirrahmanirrahim”, “can I go now?”’. “Of course honey, good job”, I hug him tightly. I felt like I was the happiest teacher in the world. Is it sounds over? But yeah it is.
And since then, the result is never being a big matter for me except for my own evaluation. To be always in each process and progress is happiness, no matter how long it is. Till now, I taught a first grader, their having their real scores; then i always told them “Your score is not a big matter for me, as long as you do your best when you learn”. It is such my big proud of them, when they bravely shown their own project or quiz honestly, even the score is not high. They would say “Sorry miss I just got 50”. And I would say “Never mind, you are learning”, “You can learn harder next time”. :)
