i just want to emphasise how crazy it is that samdean don’t need or even really want (at times) any external relationship outside of each other. developing different kinds of human relationships with different people is a huge part of growing as a person. and they just-don’t. even when they have the choice and chance to do so-they just choose not to. they really fulfill each other’s every need and that is so. it’s so sick how insular they are and even more so, in some ways, how content they are in that.

#zachariah got it right #psychotically irrationally erotically codependent #i do think that dean likes having friends #he’s social in that he knows how to read and play people #and he thrives on that #he is also #hmm idk how to word it properly #but he forms connections very easily because he’s good at understanding emotions #even if he doesn’t always be considerate of them #i think fandom doesn’t give him enough credit for his awareness #whether it’s about emotions or customs (i can’t remember the proper word rn so this will have to do)#they always mistake his lack of acknowledging them (outwardly) as ignorance #or worse simply forget (willfully?) when he does #anyway this got long #my original point was that sam doesn’t really need to have a lot of connections to be comfortable/content #not in the later seasons at least #earlier seasons he wanted connections specifically outside of his family because he was suffocating (they all were tbh)#and ofc he wanted to be understood #but like i said i don’t think he needs other humans around the way dean does #supernatural #sam and dean #samdean #.txt

btw todd’s reluctance to join the dps because he doesn’t want to read (which is then accommodated for) and is scared to put himself out there (which is also worked through) being read as todd not wanting to go AT ALL, and thus neil making the proper accommodations (“todd anderson, who prefers not to read, will keep the minutes of the meetings”) and encouraging him to step out of the box that stifles him being seen as ‘forceful’ or like he can’t take no for an answer makes me insane with rage

And no it's not cuz I'm obsessed with lmk and a "I told you" person it's literally in the character sheet and hidden details you have to look closer at (because writing and the way the episodes are made makes it obvious that its gonna be relevant or explained later if lego would just give them the time or opportunity to do it later AND ITS IN THE TOY-) and also basic information on the og book description of macaque or something

Has 6 ears ESPECIALLY ON HIS MECH HE MADE so they didn't ignore or cut it out technically idk about his hearing the past or present magic tho tbh I don't think they've hinted at it cuz I'm pretty sure we would know of it by now

Season 3 “benched” white tail is not an animation error it’s tangs (and/or piggsy's?) magic kinda fucked up macaque's glamour (caught him off guard I think is the wording?)

And season 4 “a lifetime of mistakes” the broken portal thing sun wukong caused kinda has this thing around macaque possibly showing the 6 ears existence finally (kinda sounds like a stretch but it's rly weird when you think about the animation looking closer fr)

Was soooooo happy with this phase 1 which is what made it so much funnier that I was immediately clapped by his phase 2 😂

#romina is still my fave boss but messmer is a solid second #almost every other boss I would describe as “would’ve been good if their damage wasn’t so overtuned”#my stance if that if I’m consistently losing to a boss with 10/14 flasks left the damage is overtuned #vs me losing to sword saint isshin with no gourds or pellets left bc he was tough enough to whittle me down #fromsoft bros will say get good but think high numbers is big difficulty #an actually difficult boss doesn’t need big damage output if the mechanics are the challenge #I don’t actually mind how relentless the bosses are in ER but I mind how HARD they hit on top of that #dodging a 12 hit uninterruptible combo where each move does like 1/10th of your health? that’s fine.#if I properly time 3 of those dodges I can still make it and it’s honestly my bad if I’m getting killed by that #dodging a 12 hit uninterruptible combo where each hit takes out 1/2 of ur health bar & has a 50% chance for an additional retaliation combo?#I *can* do it but Jesus Christ what a waste of my time lmao #how am I supposed to learn a boss when I can’t get into a flow state bc a single mistake can end a run smh #I just beat gaius and I didn’t even feel accomplished I was just like ugh finally #I feel like 95% of his moves are fine once you work out the delays and positioning #but I kept getting clipped by his charge attack like I would dodge out of the way but once the i frames were finished I’d still get hit #bc I guess I wasn’t dodging a perfect 90 degrees to him and the hitbox for that attack is long as hell #which would be whatever if that move didn’t take out like 2/3 of my health and come out nigh instantly #I don’t even really know the tell for the move bc I beat him before I learned it bc I lucked out on a run where he didn’t charge me a lot #luckily the game is absolute DELIGHT to look at and explore that I can forgive the absolute bullshittery of the bosses #like I just got to the summit of dragon peak and I’m blown away by the design of that mountain #if we’re talking verisimilitude in games how about that whole shebang #no obvious well worn path up to the top of the mountain bc it’s just for dragons who’s gonna be walking up there?#having the player follow a trail of increasingly dense dragon corpses is SUCH a great tone setter #which means I’m probably going to hate bayle but whatever I’m already invested let’s gooooo #tsuchi plays games

#keese draws #eternal gales #decided to finally try my hand at drawing au fydd #and decided to also draw the two I’ve already designed #I kinda chickened out hard with this au fydd design but that’s mostly because I don’t know how I’d go about implementing the big thing I cut #I wanted to include a nod at my old tazian (the species I recycled for fydd) worldbuilding by giving him some rainbow ‘hair’#but I definitely am not capable of drawing my vision well enough for my standards rn so maybe one day I’ll go for it but not rn #but long story short in the original version of the species those who were more middling height would have strands of or even entirely #rainbow hair which was like 90% me bullshitting but I have thought of a retroactive excuse #long story short most tazians would either be super tiny or like stupid tall and more middling height ones were rare #but one thing I realized lately is that all my tall ones had white hair and all my short ones had black hair #so the retroactive excuse is that the rainbow is a transitional period that usually indicates young age but can sometimes be permanent if #they don’t end up becoming properly tall #and I wanted to nod at that concept with au fydd since he’s 15 and is what would be considered pretty middling height #but that would mean figuring out how I’d wanna go about coloring that and that would make me lose it #for context fydd’s hair is supposed to be a smidge feathery #and also I like to keep my characters having somewhat manageable color pallets #not that I’m particularly good at that but I try #oh also second biggest failure of this drawing I made it so I couldn’t draw his other eye rip #he’s missing his other eye due to basically completely destroying it in the process of blowing up his original universe #the other two aren’t missing any major design elements that I can think fo fortunately #these three are all favorites of mine amongst the au antags they’re so silly #and by that I mean one of them is a grown ass adult torturing teenagers and the other two are heavily traumatized teenagers that are #helping said grown ass adult torture teenagers #well only one of them is properly helping owl is just here to meet her crush #she genuinely did not think the others would get as far and go as hard as they did #au fydd was the first member of the squad au bloom recruited and he is easily the most loyal to her #he’s also the only one au bloom even mildly gives an actual shit abt #au fydd went through a Lot in his original universe and is very ‘let’s burn it all down’ with his approach to helping #owl also went through a lot but she came out the other end just desperately wanting to stop fighting

no, dragon age 2 is not the best dragon age game. but it’s also not the worst. and most importantly, it is my favorite.

#sorry for continuing to obsess over the cast of da2 13 years later. i just adore them #they’re messy and terrible but god do they compel me. the thing about da2 is that a surprising about of the bad writing CAN enhance it #if you really lean into it and make it work. it makes the characters worse people yes. it makes them very contradictory people #but the longer i sit on it the more i can make it work. the ending choice is still bad and lacking and doesn’t allow for genuine roleplay #and i lament that the world states don’t let me properly convey that my hawke THOUGHT they ‘did the wrong thing for the right reasons’#and that you can’t really play as the kind of selfish coward my hawke is to me you know. someone who pays lip service but doesn’t follow up #whose allegiances come with conditions and at the end of the day always looks out for individuals rather than entire demographics #i think that’s why i love varric so much too bc that’s how he is! he loves merrill and anders (tho he won’t admit it) BUT #he doesn’t really ‘get’ mage stuff. he wants them to give it up. anders even more so. varric doesn’t believe #there’s a gap of lived understanding between them he NEVER really tries to breech and that’s why his love is conditional #for as much as varric went to bat for anders year after year and would never have sold him out during their time in kirkwall…#he still resents anders in inquisition. bc anders had goals and ambition and wouldn’t settle for varric’s friendship #such a conditional allegiance would never satisfy anders. he wasn’t the type to forsake all mages just to live comfortably hidden by others #oh my god i need to play dragon age 2 again

Just read a post about how you shouldn’t trust a doctor who rushes you and like, yes I fully understand the frustration, so here’s what you can do to stop yourself being rushed:

-ask for a double appointment

-ask for a triple appointment

-fuck it ask for an hour long appointment if you think it’ll help

-be outright about what you want/need from an appointment. If you need more time to process information, say that. If you need the doctor to write out all information, say that. If you have a complex case/long history, say that!

-list all the reasons why you want to see the doctor/vet that day and please don’t sugar coat it. “Been vomiting” is a ten minute fix. “Been vomiting after every meal for the past two years” is not. It needs a double appointment and possibly a referral too.

Doctors and vets are overworked to fuck and exploited to hell. Help us out a little, please

#I get the frustration I really really fucking do #But I cannot stress this enough: we do not get overtime #We don’t! If you are booked in for a fifteen minute time slot and it takes 45 minutes we run late. We lose our lunch or we go home late and #We never get that time back. We already work long hours for frankly less pay than you’d expect for someone saving lives #If I run even just fifteen minutes late after one appointment it knocks on to everything and suddenly I cannot HALT #which is the acronym to encourage medical professionals to take care of themselves to reduce human error #(Basically take a break if you’re Hungry Angry Lonely/Late or Tired)#I have known other new grads who have to stay back at work unpaid for 1-2 hours every DAY #Do you know how much that wears you out?#All I’m saying is properly booked appointments are a godsend.#Also don’t sugar coat the reason for bringing a pet into the vets.#‘I want him checked over he’s old’ and ‘I want him euthanised he’s really struggling’ are two VERY different consults #I do get people’s frustrations with doctors but this website has a tendency to forget that they’re still human #If you were forced to do unpaid labour every day because you’ve got an understaffed over exploited work force you’d probably be annoyed too #And I know a lot of people are!!! But people don’t realise medical professionals are too!!!#We’re all in the hell of late stage capitalism together and that means you pay too much for a vet/doctor who does not have #The time or resources they fucking need

i feel like everyone is going to eventually get annoyed at me for still being sad about simba or still talking about it but posting abt it is easier than telling someone because i don’t know how to do that and i’d rather be annoying here where people can scroll past and ignore it and not feel obligated to reply

#i don’t even have anything to say i’m just sad #i keep being fine for a while because it doesn’t feel real #and then i remember i never get to take another picture of him or play with him again #i wish i’d gotten a video of him meowing he had such a funny meow i wish you could hear it #i get so sad thinking about him when he was a baby and how he didn’t know it would end up like this #and then thinking that’s dumb because cats do not understand their own mortality anyway #i hope he wasn’t in pain when he died i hope he didn’t feel alone or scared #i wish more than anything that someone had been with him when he died. he was all alone #he should’ve been inside he should’ve been safe he should’ve been looked after properly #there’s no point getting angry at the people who neglected him. they can’t hurt him anymore anyway #but i just wish he got what he deserved he deserved so much better. i hope he knows how much everyone loves him #and that i won’t stop loving him just because he’s not here #he was only a baby he was only two. he should’ve lived for so much longer #again i am sorry for being annoying but i am not coping with this and i feel rlly fucking stupid for being this sad #simba
