Anyway, today’s song of the day is Oh Woman, Oh Why. I’m just so fascinated by Paul’s choice of. shooting a gun as a sound effect. I mean sure, the lyrics mention a gun, but just. recording gunshots in the track. just like that. Truly insane behavior. And the whole thing is just such a banger in itself. My god. And also that picture of him holding the gun, with the headphones. What insanity. The whole album is just such pure unfiltered art and yeah I’m still so BAFFLED that it didn’t climb every chart worldwide and stayed there at least for months.

I really like the fact that Ruby’s mum is an ordinary human woman. I think it’s a lovely resolution for Ruby and a great example of Russell’s thesis statement for his Doctor Who. “Ordinary people can do incredible things” and all that.
I really don’t like the fact that Russell spent the last eight episodes making this reveal out to be the biggest most fantastical mystery box ever only to try and turn it on the audience like “aha! you made her important but actually she’s ordinary!’ No Russell, YOU made her important. You made her face obscured by seemingly magical means. You made her point at a street sign to name her daughter when nobody could possibly have seen that. You made Ruby have a Christmas carol in her heart and gave her the ability to conjure snow out of thin air. You made Maestro terrified of her and Sutekh obsessed with her. And then you chose not to explain any of that. What were we supposed to do? Not care? You can’t create a mystery box that can only be explained via something extraordinary and then reveal it to be mundane. You can’t have both.

It’s been a few hours since I listened to the Wisdom Saga and I’m feeling the overwhelming urge to make things about Odypendio
Thoughts below (revolves around a Diomedes going to Ithaca AU)
So let me just say that Diomedes would NOT have let Antinous say all that 🙌 In my ideal AU where Diomedes goes to Ithaca instead going to fucking Italy, he, Telemachus, and Penelope would probably have gotten close.
Diomedes acting as the kind of stand in king/husband since he knew Odysseus and was a king. Telling Telemachus stories of his dad, comforting Penelope because they both hope to see him again.
And what with Athena taking on a somewhat mentor role to Telemachus, I would like to think Diomedes would have furthered that since he was/is a favoured hero of Athena. Still on the fence on whether Telemachus would learn to fight from him, or Diomedes would be hesitant to tutor him into child warrior. BUT back to the main idea of the post, as one of the best warriors amongst the Achaians, he would absolutely not allow the suitors to push Telemachus or Penelope around.
And while I have no doubt Penelope handled things well on her own, and she still is the one running the show imo, the suitors would still be more hesitant to make remarks after Diomedes entered the picture. This is not only due to the fact that this is Diomedes, but also due to the fact that he’s kinda the stand in for Odysseus.
Anyways stan OdyPenDio and go listen to the Wisdom Saga if you haven’t already

the frozen ii ending makes me soooooo angry like the whole POINT of frozen i was that elsa learned that she could rule arendelle with her powers and with anna by her side!!! literally in the bway musical she sings ‘i know i’ll never see that sunny day / when this trial is finally through / and it can just be me and you’ like. elsa WANTS to stay with anna
and they try and explain this somewhat in into the unknown, with the ‘who knows deep down i’m not where i’m meant to be’ but. WHY isn’t she where she’s meant to be. all of the first film was her learning that she belonged in arendelle and her powers/herself wasn’t something to be afraid of. why isn’t she meant to be with her family? with her sister who’s been desperate to reconnect with her? why doesn’t she belong where people readily love her and accept her and want the best for her?
and then, what about anna? there is no mention of her wanting/being ready to be queen in either two films. we don’t even see the offer on screen; we don’t get the sisters’ quiet, vulnerable conversation where elsa admits to wanting to live with the rest of the nature spirits and anna offers to take her place as queen. we don’t see anna begging elsa to stay in the forest because she can rule if elsa’s happier there. we never see their dialogue. it’s just so sudden. is anna once again just going along with what her sister wants? is elsa isolating herself all over again? we just don’t know. they both seem happy, but there’s barely any indication that it’ll lead up to that point.
it just makes no sense for either of their arcs, or their previous wants/needs. if they were meant to stay together, why separate them again? they just got each other back. and now they’re alone again.

Woah Keefe is so emotionally manipulative.
Not like he got raised in a horrible household where being emotionally abused was the norm. Not like half of his ‘insulting’ things were just bad attempts to make people laugh because in his mind that’s one of the only things he’s good at. Not like he probably cries thinking about all the times he hurt people without even meaning to. Not like he says things that come across as manipulative without him meaning it to because again, saying things like that are normal to him. Not like he would do anything for his friends. Not like most of his decisions, in his mind at least, were to benefit everyone else. Not like he would probably rather die than be like his father. Of course not, that’s ridiculous!
