Hcs about shadowpeach reconnecting?

i like to think of it being very slow. to me, shadowpeach is the slowest of all slow burns both when they’re developing a relationship and trying to reconnect.

while i am a sucker for shadowpeach fluff and them being all clingy and cuddley, i still don’t think the two would even get that close for some time (and i mean some time).

lemme see if i can do a little rundown (i fucking lied) of my idea of a shadowpeach reconnection post-s4:

after the scroll and after their battle with the Brotherhood, both are in an agreement of a truce. as in, both acknowledged that neither of them wish to really fight or stay upset with the other because both understand that they never really could

so there’s a truce, a renewed exchange of peaches, that informs the other that while nothing will ever be like before….maybe that’s for the best, maybe they deserve something different and new between them

it doesn’t immediately take away from all their hurt feelings and pettiness. Wukong’s teasing will never hit the same and Macky’s guard is still at full defense

MK will still find them arguing up to the sky about something as trivial as which path leads to which waterfall and “shut up and just follow me, you idiot, this mountain has been my home for over a millennia”

but there are baby steps in the right direction (Pigsy would call it the “babiest of steps” but nobody asked him)

it takes them a year to come to terms that their petty arguing is just petty to be petty (tho they hold out a little longer because neither want to admit that to each other because it could meaning losing the game. what game? neither are exactly sure of what)

but it’s after both take the time to really refrain from that itch to bitch that both actually have a chance to talk with some substance (there may have been an external force that led to this conversation; a curse trapping them in a void space, being separated from the group so it’s just them two, the works)

but then that arguing loses its teeth and resembles something like banter. Wukong and Macky never truly did banter much in the past. not like this. it’s a little freeing. to be able to push and pull against each other without any reserve or need to

and this was their relationship for quite some time after. no physical hugs or touches like Wukong was privy to before or that Macky used to indulge in. you had the occasional glance here and there but not enough for the other to notice (everyone else, of course, noticed)

ironically, it’s Macky who initiates their first hug in ages.

Wukong, over the years, has slowly been building up to it with shoulder bumps, a light punch in the shoulder, and sometimes a bump to the hip.

when asked, Wukong would explain that he’s a physically affectionate guy but knows Mac has his limits and does his best to respect that as much as he can

on his own tho, Wukong personally feels like those touches are the most he will ever be granted to give. that is, until after a fierce battle, skirmish, whatever new daring thing that almost costs the Monkie Kid team, Macky actually pulls Wukong in for a hug

it’s nothing big or grand. well, nothing big for anymore normal since it’s a very short side hug, but it was something big for the both of them.

suffice to say, that was enough permission for Wukong to initiate more physical affection towards Macky

neither of them are really ready to put anything that they’re doing to name. makes it more definite and breakable

hell, they don’t even acknowledge that they’re past the point of tolerable acquaintances until a couple years later

but yeah, a shadowpeach reconnection, in my eyes, will takes years (centuries even) to truly rekindle their relationship. like i said, it’s a slow burn and one both want to tread carefully even if it’s agonizing to watch from the outside (see MK and friends)

They got used to them quickly and just accepted that your wings were a part of you like an arm or leg

When you both lived together, he learned how to move around them while working with you

Helping you clean and groom them was one of your favorite ways to bond

Post Plague, your wings were in poor condition, but Asra could no longer help you groom them; it would send you straight into a catatonic state, to relive such tender and intimate moments; you’d remember too much and you’d be in agony

He had to painstakingly teach you how to care for your wings, how to stretch them out and exercise them because like any muscle they could atrophy

After the whole mess with Lucio and The Devil was done, he was overjoyed to be able to care for your wings again

This man is so touch starved. After screaming with @amara-among-the-stars a while back about Aether being a passionate knitter, I finally gathered enough spoons to finish this.

First of all, he definitely makes blankets for all the newborn babies in the ministry. The parents also get a little plushie along with it.

Heads up: There are some spicy pics at the end.

Newly summoned band Ghouls get a welcome blanket according to their elemental assignment. He has a couple of them ready and if they get a knitted, sewn, or crocheted blanket, depends on what vibes the day leading up to the summoning gives him.

After a year or so, on their summoning day, if he manages to finish them until then, they'll be gifted temperature blankets. For those unfamiliar with the term: The idea of a temperature blanket is to crochet or knit several rows for that blanket each day for a full calendar year. The colors used each day correspond with the temperature outside on those days.

They all have an embroidered name tag (courtesy of Mist), removable to accommodate any change the owner might go through.

On both occasions, he infuses them with quintessence and weaves sigils into them. General ones (like protection) for the newly summoned, for the personalized ones based on whatever his observations tell him the receiver needs. *

A project that started as shits and giggles was the "plant pot sweaters". One time, while Aether and Mountain got high on tour, the earth ghoul lamented about his plants getting cold. Aether took that way too seriously in his state and made these the same night. Mountain thanked him in a very satisfying way.

When did this all start you ask? Almost right after his summoning. He learned it from no other than Sister Imperator. Knitting that is. Crochet came after he had quickly mastered the latter. Halfway through that came the quilting*.Alpha had started the tradition of giving a blanket to each new summon and Aether ran with it. He started with just scraps that the costume ghouls gave him, bits cut off in making habits and uniforms. Then he begged Copia to let him stop in all the small town quilt shops at all their stops and added in some bits of t-shirts Dew buys for him at gas stations.

Quilting escalated to patchworking, the latter being something that Dew kicked off with his old band shirts and Aether's frugal trait. Now he collects the old t-shirts and hoodies from every band ghoul and works them onto an enormous pack blanket that lives in the ghoul common room and is perfect for ghoul piles.

On tour, he occasionally took it upon himself to fix small rips or holes in his or his fellow ghoul's costumes and give the professionals more time to work on the important things like the Papa robes.

Now that he's not touring anymore, Mountain has made it his personal task to bring back ungodly amounts of (rare) wool for Aether. Dew, and Swiss rummage through the quilt shops for him, and Aeon has proven himself to be a great assistant for novelty t-shirt finding.

When he's not making beautiful things for the enjoyment of others, Aether knits thigh highs for Dewdrop to wear when he lounges around in winter. (Aether knows Rain is dying to own a pair too but wants him to ask for it) He loves how they look on him, especially with only one of his, for Dew, oversized hoodies. Easy access, if you catch his drift. Dew may or may not have developed a Pavlovian reaction to certain yarn types.

Cumulus caught a peek at some point and she designed some "loungewear" for the ghoulettes.

Swiss took that opportunity to be a menace and requested something as well. He even presented Aether with sketches of his vision and everything. The pack still isn't sure how they feel about it.

In his perfect world, he’d have two daughters. They’d be equal parts him and you, and they’d be quiet and curious and lovely and life would be good. He’d spend his days with you and his two tiny daughters, raising his little family and doing all he could for his favorite girls.

Your last kid is another girl, and, yeah she’s just a baby no older than a few months, but Levi can’t help but think she’s especially tiny, and he can’t help but to look at her and hold her whenever possible. Your baby girl also leaves Levi a little dumbstruck because she manages to look like a combination of you and his mother.

As she grows, it becomes apparent that you’ve got another daddy’s girl on your hands. Doesn’t matter if you’re literally breast feeding her, Aria will throw a tantrum if she’s separated from Levi for more than an hour.
