Teenage Exocolonist Kids: How would they be as Jedi?

Sol: Our nonbinary icon is THE Jedi, especially after Transcendence. Goes on a long multi-lifetime journey to learn to accept there are things they cannot change and tragedies they cannot avoid is PEAK Jedi story. Definetly Master/Councilor material

Tangent/Tang: Eh, Tangent would probably not be a very good Jedi when it comes to active duty. She struggles with empathy which is a core Jedi value, but I think Jedi training would help her come to terms with her identity in a very helpful way. Definitely a more "stays at the Temple and researches/debates" type Jedi than one who goes out on active field work.

Cal/Recalcitrance: My gentle, plant-loving pacifist husband is PRIME Jedi material! Definitely head of the AgriCorps and teaches the younglings about cool plants from across the Galaxy on his off days. Man is literally great for the role of a Jedi. He's a Master, but probably not on the Council as he has no patience for politics.

Nem/Anemone: Eh... I do not think Nem would be a very good Jedi. Too angry, too attached to the memories of her loved ones. Relaly I see her more as a nat-born soldier or a light-aligned Bounty Hunter who works with the Jedi, but doesn't really get them. Not to say she's bad, but if she were trained as a Jedi she'd probably Fall at some point. However, I do think she'd make her way back to the Light eventually, with help. But, I don't see my girl as a very good Jedi.

Dys/Dysthymia: Dys would be a good Jedi... but only in certain circumstances. Definitely a Jedi Shadow, but with how he fails to get along with others I can't see him doing traditional Jedi things. However, he does have an instinctive knowledge of letting go. But, I do see his inability to feel fear as a detriment. Jedi train to overcome their fear and at in spite of it, but since Dys can't feel fear, i feel he would be missing a key piece of Jedi education. Not good.

Marz/Marzipan: Marz, actually would be a GREAT Jedi! Granted, not a very conventional one, with her love of the spotlight and drive to succeed, I see her as the Jedi's Liason to the Senate, as one of the few of the Order with a head for Politics. This lady would have the Senate and the Media eating out of her hand, giving the Jedi a sterling reputation. While she struggles with passion in some cases, I think she could easily overcome it!

Tammy/Aspartame: Did someone say Creche MasteR? Because this lovely lady is a Creche-Master! She would not only be great at caring for the Younglings, she's treasure every moment of working with them and readying them for the journeys ahead. And is Definetly secretly a Master and a badass, she actively chooses not to kick people's asses. Peace and love, baby.

Vace/Olivaceous: Not a good Jedi. At all. Too proud, too full of ambition and vainglory to hack it as one of the Servants of the Republic. Probably a Mandalorian, honestly, and a neutrally aligned one. If he were to become a Jedi he would fall. Period. He's too much like Anakin, too focused on his own glory and power to understand the Jedi Way.

Nomi-Nomi/Nomination: I'm...honestly at a loss, here. I think Nomi would make a very... weird Jedi? But a good one, probably? They're definitely kind and compassionate enough to be a Jedi, but they struggle with attachment so... probably a mid-ranked Knight who's a Smash Hit with the Younglings. Probably the first Jedi Twitch Streamer.

Rex/Basorexia: Honestly? Rex'd be a good Jedi. No in-depth explanations here, just vibes. Definitely Jedi material

Shouta

Acts of service but like in a way no one would never notice.

It’s Hizashi’s preferred tea always being in the cabinets. It’s a pillow always in the exact place Nemuri likes to sprawl when she gets stressed out, exactly where she lays her head every time. It’s Oboro’s shrine being meticulously cared for even though no one ever sees someone do it. Not even on the cameras.

It’s compression gloves on Izuku’s desk and microfiber cloths tucked in the exact place he knows Tenya will look. It’s two dozen of the fluffiest blankets he could find stashed in every nook and cranny in the dorms that his kids could possibly look in. It’s a thousand little things that no one would ever notice but all of them appreciate.

Hizashi

Quality time. For all that Hizashi doesn’t shut up his love language is quality time. With three jobs Hizahsi is always being pulled in one direction or another but he always has time to gossip with Nem about whatever idiot confessed his love to her Thai week. Always is around for Shouta to lean against when he needs a quick nap. Always, without fail, visits Oboro’s shrine in UA on his birthday and the anniversary of his death to tell him about the things he’s missed just in case there is an afterlife so his friend won’t have to feel so alone.

He doesn’t have set office hours if the kids have questions because they are always welcome to come to him if he’s at the school and ask. He spends hours helping Kyoka balance her love for heroic and her love of music to lesson a bit of her guilt. He has open study sessions where he helps Denki with not just English but with whatever subject he’s having problems with. He’s there for when Ochako finally breaks, so tired of being alone before the dorms and having the same schedule as her parents so she can’t just call them. Whenever someone needs him he’s there with open arms and his signature smile.

Nemuri

Words of affirmation. even before she was a teacher she was the older sister of the group. ‘I love you’ of course has always fallen so easily from her lips for the smallest of things. But it was always more than that.

‘I’m believe in you’ she tells shouta every time he gets that haunted, desperate look in his eyes like he’s sixteen again and unsure of his place in the world. ‘I’m proud of you’ she breathes into Hizashi’s hair whenever he’s bitten his nails down to jagged nubs, a signal that he misses a smoke (one that he hasn’t touched since they were seventeen and Shouta pitched his last pack into a river). ‘you did your best’ she tells a picture not the one at his shrine. Never at the shine. He wouldn’t be there anyway. He would be following them on one of his clouds, laughing as they playacted at being responsible adults and teasing them for getting so old.

‘You’ve come so far’ she tells Yuuga, brushing his hair back out of his eyes. ‘You are enough’ she tells Momo, wiping tears from her cheeks. ‘I’m proud of you.’ She tells all of them, these children that have become soldiers. These kids holding their crumbling world together with bloodstained hands. These babies cracking under the pressure but trying so hard. She tells them all time and time again as many times as they need to hear.

Oboro

T O U C H. The cloud boy is a clingy one at all times. He flops on Shouta like a massive weighted blanket to keep him feeling warm and safe when he naps. He braids Hizashi’s hair, humming off key to whatever song they have playing and telling him how cool it would be to take his usual spiky style and made it way bigger like a calling card. He paints Nemuri’s nails, calloused hands from hours of practicing with his bo staff so gentle as he wipes away streaks of color until he gets them perfect.

And in the PYT AU

He kisses Inko’s face until she’s laughing, breathless and with tears in her eyes as she bats at his chest. He lifts an arm without thinking to accept Izuku flopping on him when they’re burnt out and need to recharge. He lets them both curl into his warmth on movie nights, resigning himself to tingling limbs after they fall asleep halfway through but unable to make himself move when they’re so content. Just feeling them breath, knowing they’re alive, knowing that if he was a little less lucky, a few inches in a different direction he could have never had this.

Nem what do you think of the movie scooby-doo ! Shaggy's showdown (2017)

i love it, definitely a favourite of mine!! it has its pacing issues and the animation is a little rougher than usual, but it more than makes up for those things with the story, setting, monster and character moments!!

i love both this film and the phantosaur for the focus & little character arcs they give to shaggy in terms of his confidence!! his instant bond with tawny is so sweet, and it's interesting to see how he grapples with the dapper jack legend. speaking of dapper jack, he's one of if not my favourite scooby movie monster. everything about him from his design to his backstory is so fascinating and well thought out!! the twist regarding him gets me every time!!!!

the side characters are also great fun - i especially love buddy g, his sister who is trans because i said so, their parents and the guy who does every job around the ranch. and the gang themselves have some super fun moments to boot - shaggy's natural talent at being a cowboy, fred's complete lack of talent at being a cowboy (press f for his sprained ankle), scooby letting buddy g ride on his back, daphne getting so excited over her cowgirl outfit, and velma's ICONIC hatred of el kabong.

just a super fun movie all around with a uniquely wholesome energy to it, helped by a strong cast and a great mystery with a fun twist!!

Remaining placement RR team thoughts. I finished the show yesterday but didn’t get to thoughts so I could let them settle

The Reality TV Pros are a good concept on paper but faiiiled. Noah was really mean this season and especially to Owen. Owen was also pretty helpless which didn’t help because I didn’t go in already wanting the best for Owen (he’s fine, I just don’t find him funny). I’m kinda bummed out we never got flashbacks to the boys on other shows, even if just stills when someone asked about an episode they were on. I could imagine Dwayne saying “say aren’t you those nice boys who were on [x]” and Junior wants to walk away sooo badly. his ship with Emma was cringey, I hate hypocrites in love, and I hate that Father and Son lost to Owen literally carrying Noah through a sadness coma. any other situation and I’d pity Noah. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE DATERS THAT EP. Sorry. For being out at the time they did, they got insane screentime.

Fuck the writers. Someone hold me back. WHY did they only get 7th. God I mean come ON. They were so funny, their relationship feels so REAL without relying on constant kissing or pda, and I kinda get their emotional issue with each other ungoth. I’ve seen people credit them as being “shallow”, but you have no idea what kind of dysphoria you can get from being in a subculture so long. The two also have insane transgender swag. Their normal attire and max goth outfits are literally so iconic I love them. BOTH of them btw. Only critique is Ennui should have known better than to attempt to jump into water holding Loki. Rabbits can’t be submerged in water! Regardless, they should have lasted longer and only lost because they were too good for a romance plotline.

I knew The Surfer Bros elim was a fakeout so I wasn’t too invested in Vietnam ep. More on them later

The Daters started off okayish but I hated them by Hawaii. I really don’t know if the show wanted us to hate them, or if we were supposed to go “I’ve been there!” because I have NOT. Two elimination fakeouts is WAY too many. I’m willing to say there were plenty of times they finished early I would have axed them for. Perhaps Little Bull on the P- I’ll stop. Lord of the Ring Toss was a really fun episode until The Daters took over. God. Even their real elim was silly

I haaaate most “childhood friends to lovers” things because I have zero touch with my childhood friends and I feel a lot of it involves comphet and “love makes you dumb” type shit. Anyways I had no grand opinions on The Best Friends, both at the beginning of the show and the late parts. Of all the unisex duos (Goths, Daters, Ice Dancers, Fashion Bloggers, LARPers) they’re the most cishet with very rigid gender norms. Since Carrie was so excited to do magic I was certain she’d be the magician and Devin would be the assistant, but no. Same with Hawaii, even if all the unisex couples did it. Jacques also wore a skirt in Hawaii! Get Devin in a skirt! Also Carrie manipulating Devin to make him go through the stages faster was a bit... um.

The Sisters did not grow on me. Quite the opposite! While I don’t think they outstayed their welcome, they are good competitors, I just think their interactions with others SUCK. I already mentioned I do not ship Nem/ma, but god. Makes you think of good Rajbow was establishing relationship boundaries where they’d pause while on the island so it didn’t get in the way of competition. Emma could have done that but didn’t. Can’t even argue emotional maturity since Bowie was younger in the show too. Kitty REALLY felt like a sidekick to Emma once Noah left. I loved her at first, but she felt so stagnant. No character arcs that weren’t dependent on Emma’s mood for the episode. Kitty rising to the occasion was always based off Emma... not rising to the occasion. Never because Kitty had a secret talent or skill she could show off. Fucking over the Adversity Twins was genuinely shitty and extra vile that like?? They already FINISHED and made rug, so they literally wandered back to mentally injure a contestant. If the Ice Dancers did that they’d be crucified.

The Ice Dancers rule honestly. I think all their plot beats (luck vs bad luck, issues with contestants no one else views as threats, pride vs success) were genuinely interesting to watch them explore. Obvious villains you should hate, but they’re interesting. Usually TD villains are laughable evil (Max, Justin) or vanity evil (Heather, Alejandro), but they manage to survive even with chipped nails and blemished faces. Because skaters get back up. And their weaknesses are so iconic. Josee is one of the million claustrophobic characters, but it’s way better here than with Gwen. Jacques hates fish. Based.

ACAB. I hate The Cadets. I assumed people hated them simply because cops suck, but WOW. MacArthur is THE WORST!? If I accidentally broke someone’s arm like that I’d be so forceful that we should just drop. No million is worth that. Plus they’re Canadian and healthcare so it’s not like they’d need it to pay for the cast lol. Very glad I didn’t watch the Netflix version that says they won. Ewwww. Imagine if the season came out today. People would probably hate them even more since no nostalgia glasses.

The Surfer Bros rule. They’re so nice, they’re so funny, they’re great. I’ve seen people say they made Geoff extra dumb thinking Komodo dragons are real dragons and breathe fire, but that’s a fair thought. You know how many people I know think turkens are turkey and chicken hybrids? They aren’t! They’re pure chicken but look like turkeys. Does that make anyone reading this who thought that stupid? Nope. There’s a lot of animals in the world. God. Brody’s crush on MacArthur felt like a comic sketch. You REALLY think a chillax man could date a crooked cop? Yeah no. Poly Surfers 4ever

Chapter 35 - "Day off, Gym on"

Oito horas e trinta e dois minutos, acordei... bem, para variar, consequência de todo um descarregar...

Descansei... i guess, o meu corpo agradeceu-me, fazendo-me acordar bem, motivada, e also...

É dia de folga, é dia de ir ao gym... Quero tanto...

Arranjo-me, e lá vou... se vou...

Cheguei lá, fui das primeiras, mas está lá ela... a PT atrevida, vem logo meter conversa, a fazer-se ao piso...

Mas hoje... estou numa de dar troco... e alinhar nas picardias, estou num bom mood, deixei-a orientar-me e fazer-me companhia nos exercicios... e ela fez questão de mostrar serviço...

Eu normalmente não gosto que me toquei, ou sejam muito proximas, levanto logo as auto-defesas todas, mas... quando dou essa abertura... embora atenta, admito que sou um pouco...

Os meus pontos sensiveis são bem obvios... e quem é mais atento...ou atenta... topa logo onde agradar-me...

E ela foi rapida a chegar lá, lá está... deixei, alinhei, faz parte...

Eu normalmente não tomo duche no gym, não me sinto confortavel, e hoje não foi diferente, eu tenho aquele mini medo que alguem me esteja a mirar ou a espreitar, ou que entrem subitamente... fritava na hora, faria uma cena digna de sketch....

Correu tão bem... fiquei pumped e motivada para o resto do dia...

E assim foi, chegada a casa, lavei-me...

E depois fui descansar até começar o cursito... hoje teria de fazer uma especie de infografico com icons que remetessem a sensibilizar aos atletas a entender os "metodos" e "processos" e afins... adientei ainda uma boa parte, mas como tenho OCD... vai ser giro organizar enquanto me tripo toda hehe...

E o fim do dia... no chill...

Chill, a bonança merecida depois da tempestade mental que tive...
