tma is a tragedy etc etc but that doesn't stop Episode 198 (two episodes before the end) from having the funniest bits of the whole show. Forget "there's a door in the way" I live for Jon Martin and Basira so-over-the-apocalypse-at-this-point just complaining to each other on a giant ladder off an impossible cliff.

I've seen a lot of people who write Muichiro as someone who sort of forgets he's not dating you in the crush stage, but my take is that Muichiro actually forgets he's dating you and thinks he's in his crush era.
Tumblr media
🌸He'll approach you suddenly, a couple times a month, with a serious expression and red cheeks, to confess his not-so-secret crush on you from since the day you both met, having forgotten he had already done so and you both were already together
🌸You usually just go along with it until he gets to the "I hope you feel the same but I'll understand if you don't" part; then you break it to him with a shy laugh that he had already confessed and you both were going out
🌸It's not tiring at all to keep repeating the same scenario, not at all! Muichiro is so cute when he does it, unconsciously pulling an innocent puppy expression and staring at you hopefully. And when he remembers you both are a couple he'll immediately light up ever so excitedly, attack you in a hug, press his forehead against you and apologize in a flurry of "Sorry" and compliments
("How did I manage to pull someone like you?" He wonders out loud. You laugh - he's too cute for his own good.)
🌸Not only that it's honestly become a guessing game with you to see what method Muichiro would confess to you again this time. You both have approximately cycled through confession by love letter, gifts (he might've stolen it forgetting it belonged to someone else, but it's the thought that counts, right?), cloud-gazing date, outright declaration, jealous blurt...yeah, you've gone through every single trope there was possible
🌸Your favorite one was when he threw an airplane across the room to you and when you unfolded it he wrote a little sweet confession. You still have it, along with the rest he started throwing to you to 1. get your attention 2. annoy you 3. ask you to join him for training or cloud-gazing
🌸 You've told him multiple times it's okay if he wants to stare at you anytime he likes after catching him doing it one day, like he did when he was in his crush phase, but he forgot and acts like he just got caught performing the most atrocious crime on earth: looks away immediately and vehemently denies it
🌸Everyone around you guys thinks it's super funny and adorable how Muichiro would start talking about you and abruptly end it with something like "Is this what people mean by having a crush?" or "I would really like to be her boyfriend someday if I manage to confess and she accepts." As said above he gets really puppy-dog excited when he's told "Aren't you guys dating already?"
("We are?" Muichiro frowned. "I don't remember..." His eyes widen. "So that's who left me that daikon today..." Then he runs off forgetting he's in the middle of conversation to go find you.)
🌸Sometimes it's a little awkward when it comes to dates though. Say there's a festival happening in a nearby town or White Day and you've been planning to spend the day having fun with him - Muichiro's going to forget you're both together and be too shy to ask you out despite that's all he's thinking about. Then you have to remind him, or someone else triggers it.
("I'm so sorry I didn't ask you!" Muichiro pushed a small box of chocolates towards you. "I got you this as an apology if it makes up for it? We'll do anything you want for tonight if you want?)
🌸It's always funny when Muichiro gets sulky or starts moping around when he hears about your boyfriend and how you're gushing over him because he forgot it was him. You like to tease him about it by listing out all the qualities you like about him and the usual praise until Muichiro asks who it is, his jealousy quite obvious.
("You, dummy!"
Muichiro blinked, then groaned, grabbing onto your side and looking up at you pathetically. "Don't play with me like that!")
🌸Of course it's not all fun and games. If this is before he met Tanjiro and regained his memories he can be pretty cold to you when he doesn't remember about your relationship, leading to a lot of things you both have to talk through after a fight.
🌸Worse case scenario is that he still remembers you as a crush, but decides that instead of confessing like before he ought to push you away before you became a weakness, a distraction...someone he'd lose.
🌸After he gets back his memories and becomes more like his old self however, he doesn't forget your relationship anymore, meaning to make up for all the times he did. In fact he flexes it, wanting to tell everyone about the both of you all the time to the point your default face is now "extremely flustered".
🌸Especially when he's jealous, actually.
("I heard that (y/n) has a crush though, do you really think you still stand a chance?"
Muichiro whipped his head around at the sound of the two slayers gossiping in the corner during a break from his training. A slight crease forms between his eyebrows and he decides to go a little harder on them later.
"Nah, it's fine! I'm a hundred per cent confident she'll say yes as long as she isn't dating anyone!"
"But I heard she is," a third slayer joined in, leaning closer conspiratorially. "A Hashira, actually."
The guy in question bursts out laughing. Scumbag. "As if! Don't be so stupid. She's already lucky she could get MY attention."
"Who would want a stupid mizunoto like you?" Muichiro smacked the slayer with the flat of his blade expressionlessly. The other two yelped and scrambled back. "For your information (y/n) got my attention - and now you have mine: go run ten laps around the Estate and if I hear you defile her name again I'll make it a hundred."
He blew a raspberry at the poor wretch as he ran past.)

Timothee was never a very popular kid. He was always the kid that everyone either hated or liked. He was at the top of his class and on the chess team. Worst of all, he was made fun of for being gay. The jocks always thought it was funny to pick on him. He hated them so much. He was absolutely revolted by the thought of ever even being friends with one.
One day Timothee was sitting is in the gym locker room when the most annoying of the jocks came in, Jake. "Yo wassup bro" Jake said. Timothee had just made a B+ on his math exam and wasn't happy about it. "Go away" he said. "Oh we got a hero, now do we? We'll see how long that lasts." And with that, Jake whistled for his bros.
Timothee tried to make a run for it but one of Jake's friends grabbed him. "Where do ya think you're going, nerd?" He was forcefully sat down and the jock put leather restraints on his legs while another put them on his hands. Finally, a strap was put on his neck and with that, Timothee couldn't move.
He could hear the other jocks laughing. Jake turned the lights off and said "Night, bro." "Why would he say br-" and with that, he heard a loud hissing sound and when he looked up, he saw it. A gas pouring out from the ceiling. He started to get dizzy and right before he passed out, he felt a sharp jab in his neck.
When he woke up, he wasn't in the locker room, but in what looked like the Janitors closet. "What the fuck? Where am I? Wait, why did I say that, I know where I a- I- uhh I kno- I don't know".
Timothee went home and continued his night like normal. He got a shower the next day and while getting ready for a wedding, something weird happened. "Bro I don't know what to wear." Normally Timothee always picked out the perfect outfits, not to mention the night before. "Whatever, must have forgot." He put on his clothes and thought nothing more of it.
Tumblr media
The next day. Timothy was at school and he had a quiz in Alegebra. He knew everything super well. "Ima fucking ace this shit. Huh? Why di- uhh whatever, I'm ready for this shit." Except when he finished, he got a C-. "Wait what!? I always get a- wait, I got a C. That's fucking good."
When Timothy went to gym something felt weird. Normally, he would sit in there all period but for some reason he wanted to get dressed, so he did. He took all of his clothes off and before he could put anything on, "Yooo dude wassgood?" said Jake. Normally, Timothy would've been disgusted to hear his voice but for some reason, he wasn't.
"Wassup bro. Bro? Why would I say that? What's happening to me? Wh- ats up?" Timothy had completely disregarded the fact that he said bro to Jake for the first time in his life.
"Come workout with me bruh" Jake said. Timothy had never worked out in his life but that didn't stop him from going. Timothy got in the weight room and suddenly all the lights went out and there were spinning spirals all around him, followed by the same hissing noise. He feinted.
Tumblr media
When Timothy woke up, he was surrounded by all the jocks he once hated. "You're name is Tommy" said Jake, followed by a snap. Tommy didn't know why the fuck Jake would try to tell him something he already fucking knew.
Tommy didn't remember anything after that...
"You're iq is lower than anyone else's. You're straight as fuck bro. You love football, wrestling, and baseball, cause you play them all dude. Your dick is so long bro. You fucking hate school. We know what's best for you. You love to get sweaty as hell like real men. Your pecs are so fucking big. We're your bros. You got the tightest bubble butt ever dude. You only wear compressions clothing bro." Said all the jocks and followed by multiple snaps, that was it.
Tumblr media
"Yo bro, what happened?" Tommy asked. "Nothing bruh, don't worry about it." Jake said. "Wow, you really need a haircut dude." Suddenly, Tommy wanted, no, Tommy needed to get a haircut, so he did.
Tumblr media
From that day forward, everything about Tommy would change. The walls in his room went from being filled with posters of superhero's and books and science and math to posters of football, baseball, wrestling, and nude women. His interest shifted from school and chess to working out, getting sweaty, hanging out with his bros, and doing what coach said.
Tommy would never be the same.

Thoughts on Beetlejuice Beetlejuice *SPOILERS*
The Good:
The reveal that Astrid could see ghosts this whole time and that Jeremy was actually a ghost was genuinely really good - I didn't see it coming but in hindsight it was so obvious. The whole bit about him trying to trick Astrid into giving her life for his was so fun.
Michael Keaton was a treat to watch as usual - all the actors seemed to be having the times of their lives, especially him, Willem Dafoe and Monica Bellucci. I was actually laughing out loud at some of the scenes he was in and I appreciate that they used him sparingly. I also thought the gag of Willem Dafoe's character being a former actor who liked pretending to be a cop and his secretary kept fetching him coffees and feeding him his lines was genuinely funny.
I was on the fence about Astrid because from what I got from the promotional material she seemed pretty bratty and whiny, but I think her frustrations with Lydia and her life in general were generally fairly understandable and I think she and Winona Ryder had great chemistry. Also I want Astrid's wardrobe, that sweater-dress with the bike shorts and boots? An absolute serve.
It's cool that Tim Burton and Michael Keaton both insisted on building sets instead of relying on CGI to do everything, I think that one of the charming things about the first movie was the handmade feel of the sets and they managed to capture a lot of it in this one. I mean, they do use SOME CGI, especially where Beetlejuice is involved, but I think it's good they didn't just rely on greenscreens.
Banger soundtrack, as usual, thanks to Danny Elfman.
Killing off Charles and Delia was surprising but I thought it was handled in a good way. I thought the actor who played Charles had died or something and when I googled why he wasn't in the sequel I think they did the best they could with the character. Catherine O'Hara sort of held together the Lydia/Astrid subplot for me, especially when she says to Lydia, "What happened to the angsty goth girl who gave me so much trouble? I think you need to find her!" The Bad: - This movie really made me appreciate the Maitlands more. The whole thing with the first movie is that Adam and Barbara ground it and give it a sense of normalcy - they have random, sudden, unfair deaths and as the audience we're thrown into the confusing world and rules of the afterlife as much as they are. In this movie I feel like everyone is too busy trying to be different flavours of wacky to feel real, which is fine for people like Beetlejuice or Delores but the human characters didn't feel like that had substance like the Maitlands.
Am I the only one who felt like this film felt kind of like a character assassination of Lydia?? I love Winona Ryder to death (pun unintended), but I feel like all she did in this movie is make that pop-eyed shocked face and say exposition. I'm sorry but am I meant to believe that Lydia Deetz, the only person in the first movie who could communicate with Adam and Barbara, called Otho, Lydia and her dad out on their shit multiple times and had the balls to make a deal with Beetlejuice to save the former, would seriously let some creepy man pressgang her into marriage? Not to mention I can't remember a single line of dialogue from Lydia, she's kind of been demoted to just being a depressed goth mom and that's kind of it. Also I felt like the way she was using her power for a TV show felt OOC when she was the only one who opposed the haunted house idea in the original. (Also Winona Ryder's hair looked terrible in the movie, it made sense for teenaged Lydia to have those gel spikes but on a Lydia who's hit fifty they look ridiculous. Like what, did her fashion sense never evolve past age fifteen?)
There were WAY too many subplots. I genuinely really liked the subplot with Astrid and Jeremy, and I think Beetlejuice and his ex-wife had a lot of potential, but the end of the movie was like Tim Burton forgot to keep track of every subplot he had going on and wrapped them up really unsatisfyingly.
Monica Bellucci's character was WAY underused. Like. I absolutely loved her design and stuff but she was walking around the whole movie attacking random people we don't give a shit about, and then in the climax she just stands there and lets herself get eaten. (That staple-face look would make a fire Halloween costume though.) I feel like the subplot with Lydia's creepy boyfriend/producer should have been cut so she had more time to shine.
The dialogue. Some of it was fine but other times phrases showed up that are so obviously going to become dated in a couple of years, it sounded like adults trying way too hard to be edgy and relatable to Gen Z viewers, like when Astrid goes "the afterlife is so random!" or that one woman describing something as "non-triggering". I don't remember the dialogue in the first movie feeling so buzzword-heavy.
Beetlejuice felt less like a threat this time. In the first movie he's more of a clear-cut antagonist but this time he's very clearly on Lydia's side and even dispatches all the other bad guys, so I think some of his more sinister energy was lost here.
The ending was really dumb ngl. It feels like it's setting up for a third one but Tim Burton was like "lol not gonna happen" so I have no idea why he chose to ending it like that.

Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Word count: 5,438
Warnings: Angst, unspecified legal age gap. This is pretty much about Natasha being mourned over and remembered as she deserves. What better day to post than on her birthday?
On December 3rd, you recalled all the wonderful memories you had created with your partner.
Tumblr media
June 18th, 2019
Half of humanity was gone.
Each day, you woke up to a world where the sun shone as brightly as ever, permitting the shadow of loss to darken every corner of the souls of the survivors of the Thanos blip. The familiar warmth faded, replaced by only a deep melancholy at the memory of what everyday life used to be. In the blink of an eye, your loved ones vanished, leaving you with the agony of their absence.
You were lost and desolate. You longed deeply to experience just a glimpse of everything you once took for granted, like calling your mother after a long day, hearing the murmurs of people at the coffee shop, or receiving a funny video from your best friend. Just something...
But nothing.
Word of mouth, you heard about a support group that Steve Rogers was leading. The world had become so vast, that breathing the same air as Captain America, with the Black Widow at your side, was no longer an unthinkable madness that would happen only in the most delusional mind. It was a reality.
There you were, realizing that you also had something in common with heroes of international stature. When they weren't all over the news, fighting right-handed in their intimidating suits, they were simply human beings who also wanted to be heard from time to time. They too had a right to break down.
"I..." you looked up, once it was your turn to speak. All eyes were looking at you expectantly, and Natasha Romanoff's eyes on you made your task more difficult. "Well, the barista at the coffee shop I go to informed me about this, uhm.... I'm (Y/N)."
"Hi, (Y/N)," those present responded in unison. The raspy voice of the woman next to you somehow resonated more in your ears than any other. What a woman. Not for nothing had you become interested in the news, only to see her fight so bravely. You always considered her a beautiful woman, and above all, a powerful one.
The only three friends you had always teased you about your crush on the Black Widow. And this alone made you feel worse. They would have loved to see you all flushed and nervous like you were at that moment.
"I remember hating crowds. People rushing around at all hours, often pushing and shoving," you began, looking down at the ground as you fiddled with your hands. "I hated the voices. Sometimes it was so loud that, between them all, they sounded like a swarm of angry bees," some had the strength to only half-smile at your silly analogy, others were unfazed.
Natasha's resilience turned out to be greater than you imagined, she demonstrated it on multiple occasions, but you experienced it live and in full color when she specifically let out a distinguished laugh. It echoed throughout the room, you could hear it loud and clear.
"I know, it was annoying." you said softly, directing your first words specifically towards the redhead, who by the way had a bit of blonde on the ends of her hair, indicating that the dye was fading. It looked beautiful on her. "Anyway," you redirected your attention to the others again. "I know a lot of people here hated that noise. We'd put on headphones so we didn't have to listen to anyone," you continued, and earned a nod of agreement from everyone present. "Well, now, I put my headphones on and play audio of people talking. I never thought I'd miss this, or that I'd miss being constantly pushed around, the voice of an annoying customer I have to deal with at work. Besides, everything is slowing down, nobody lives in a hurry anymore, and... well, I think you understand," you let out a nervous chuckle. You had no intention of rambling on too much about it, or you were never going to stop.
"Thanks for sharing," Steve said, giving you a small smile, that smile where he pursed his lips and raised his eyebrows.
Once the meeting was over, you let out a small sigh, grabbed your stuff and headed for the exit.
A voice stopped you as you stood on the other side of the door, causing you to turn and meet again those green eyes that looked so much more beautiful in person. Neither magazine pictures nor news cameras could capture that wonderful pair.
"I just wanted to ask you, if it's not too invasive," she spoke, as soon as you turned around. "Do you have anyone to talk to? Outside of this group, I mean."
"Anyone close? No," you answered honestly. It was the truth. Being highly selective had its consequences, as you were unlucky enough to lose your very few close loved ones; your three best friends, your mother, your aunt and your grandfather. Some family members, previous friends and even exes with whom you cut ties tried to reconnect, but the phrase 'better alone than in bad company' never applied better than in this case. "But if you're talking in general terms, even the person in line at the supermarket can be your confidant and support. You can imagine what it's like."
"I know," she agreed, and thought for a moment before adding, "In supermarkets, products expire before anyone buys them, but it's a good thing, it's an excuse to buy more snacks so they don't go to waste."
You let out a laugh. A full, genuine laugh, and wow... it was the first time in the last year that someone had made you laugh like that. It was a silly joke, yes, but in the midst of so much monotony, the spontaneity was a gift she gave you.
December 3rd, 2023
"You were in fact the only person who made me laugh," you barely managed to formulate the last words before you burst into tears for the fifth time.
Natasha would be turning 39. You both knew that aging was anything but a bad thing, yet she enjoyed ironically saying that she was getting old, even if it was far from the truth. She had no childhood, no adolescence. The concept of old age seemed the most comforting to her.
You forced yourself to take a deep breath, and to swallow your tears. You were talking to a piece of marble with her name carved on it, and you knew that meters underneath there wasn't even a body to mourn over, but you had to let it all out one way or another.
"Happy 39th birthday, my love," you whispered, smiling faintly. "I guess your wish came true. You stayed 38 forever."
December 3rd, 2020
"Oh, my wish is to stay 36 forever!" Natasha exclaimed, with a broad smile, and then blew out the candles on the mini cake you had bought her.
You laughed along with her.
Laughing seemed impossible until she showed up a year and a half ago in your life at that support group. Now laughing seemed as easy as breathing.
You wondered if, somehow, you would have met Natasha. She was a very famous woman, unattainable to everyone including you. The possibility of having lived a life without her terrified you, so much so that it was the first time you were actually grateful that the blip had happened, because it made it possible for her to be sitting on the couch next to you, spending her birthday morning with you after making her her favorite breakfast.
"Oh, come on, Nat," you laughed, as you placed the cake on the coffee table, and started pouring the wine. "You age like this fine wine. I imagine how divine you'll look in your 40s, in your 50s... don't take that away from me," you spoke seriously, as if the candles really did have the power to fulfill her wishes.
She laughed loudly, and took the glass of wine you gave her, "38 is the most I'm willing to age. It is my final offer."
You rolled your eyes playfully, and raised your glass, "Very well. To your penultimate year of aging. Cheers!"
The rest of the morning, and part of the afternoon was spent lazying on the couch, marathoning romantic comedies from the 90s and early 2000s.
Until the clock struck 5:00 p.m., it was one hour before Natasha's adoptive parents arrived, and the nervousness was starting to hit you.
"My love, it's time to get off the couch and get ready," you spoke, pausing the Julia Roberts movie 'Eat, Pray, Love'.
"Ughhhh!" She protested, covering herself up to her head with the blanket resting on top of you both. Said blanket was perhaps twice the size of the two of you, and perhaps three times as heavy. It was the best weapon against the December cold.
"Nat, I don't want your parents to find us in penguin pajamas and ugly sweaters," you laughed, shaking her gently. "I want to make a good first impression. Come on!"
"You're overthinking," she replied, resting her head in your lap, under the blanket. "They won't mind your outfit, and believe me, they'll love you."
You sighed lightly.
"I hope so," you replied, scratching her hair with your fingertips. "I'm much younger than you, and I don't want them to think I'm immature, or..."
"Alexei still insists on wearing his superhero costume, even though it looks tiny on him," Natasha interrupted you, before your head wandered. "Maturity is something that doesn't exist in my family, you take it easy."
You laughed a little, and that little anecdote was enough to give you significant relief. If Natasha said you'd be fine, then it was true.
The redhead was somewhat reserved when it came to her family.
You understood that she wanted to be sure that it was going to be something long and meaningful before she let you into that sacred side of her life, so it wasn't a year and a half after you met her that you finally would get to know the famous Melina and Alexei. You felt more than privileged to know that your relationship with her had already reached that point.
She also always mentioned her little sister Yelena, whom she had lost to the blip. You wished you could have met that other brave soul who destroyed Dreykov and his entire twisted organization, saving thousands of girls and women around the world.
"Well..." she said, suddenly getting up from your lap, as she pulled back the blanket. Afterwards, she planted a quick kiss on your lips. "I need a few minutes to mentally prepare myself and get out of here. Get in the shower and then I'll join you."
Within forty-five minutes, both of you were fully dressed and ready to welcome Melina and Alexei to Natasha's apartment.
The table was set with a white tablecloth, four plates with their respective cutlery and glasses. In the middle was the previously started wine and a bottle of soda that was a little wet, as it had just been taken out of the fridge five minutes before. The older woman's parents would bring takeout dinner and cake, so the table was ready just to serve the food and eat.
Punctually, at 6:00 p.m., you heard the doorbell ring.
You took a deep breath, and together with Natasha, you headed for the door.
Naturally, she was the first to greet them and pull them into a heartwarming embrace, which was somewhat clumsy because it was obstaclized by the bags of food in Melina's hands and the box of cake in Alexei's right arm. You stood there, watching the scene feeling both tenderness and nervousness, because your girlfriend's parents were finally standing in front of you.
The redhead took the cake and a bag of food, and with her head pointed in your direction, "This is (Y/N), (Y/N), this is Melina and Alexei."
With a gentle smile, you waved at them, "It's very nice to meet you, Miss Vostokoff, and Mister Shostakov."
"Oh, let's drop the formalities, c'mere!" Alexei exclaimed, and held out his arms to wrap you in a tight embrace.
You let out a giggle, and accepted his offer. He squeezed you and you let out a playful groan of complaint. Melina, laughing as you did, hugged you once the man released you, however, she was gentler and briefer, concluding it with a rub on your back.
"Please call us by our names," she spoke. "Natasha has talked so much about you that you're not even a stranger. So we don't want to be strangers to you either."
You looked at Natasha, and she smiled broadly, having also enjoyed the scene at your first meeting with her parents.
"Very well," you chuckled. "Please, let me help you with this," you offered, pointing to the single bag she was carrying.
"Oh, thank you," she agreed, passing you the bag.
You and Natasha placed the two bags on the table, and the cake on the kitchen counter.
"Beer?" Natasha offered to Alexei.
"Oh, please!" he exclaimed, sitting down on one of the chairs next to Melina. Across from both of them, Natasha and you would sit.
You heard the sound of two bottles being uncorked, and Natasha was the last to join the table, handing one bottle to Alexei and both of them toasting and then taking a big sip.
The dinner went wonderfully.
Natasha was right, her parents were easy-going and funny, each in their own way. Alexei always had a joke on the tip of his tongue, and Melina, though calmer than him, laughed lightly and added to the joke just to make you all laugh. At the end of the evening, when they bid their fond farewells, you completely forgot how nervous you felt a few hours earlier. They were enchanted with you and the feeling was mutual.
A small meow was heard about a minute after Natasha's parents left, and she stepped forward, opening the window to reveal the black cat sitting on the stairs. Liho always wandered around her building, but Natasha's floor was her favorite due to the redhead always giving her food and treats. She was a very easy cat to love, and it didn't take long for her to grow on Natasha, so she was unofficially adopted by her.
"Sorry, Liho," she said, caressing behind her ears. "You were late. There will be no food for the unpunctual."
"Hey, don't be mean," you teased, reaching up to stroke the cat's cheek. She happily bowed her head, receiving your affection.
"I'm kidding," she let out a giggle, and headed for the kitchen. From there, she pulled out one of the cans of cat tuna she always bought for the feline. Once she placed it in a plate on the floor, the cat ran in her direction and didn't hesitate to devour the dish, making you both laugh. "Oh, thank you so much for coming to visit me for my birthday, little one. You're adorable."
You walked in Natasha's direction, and wrapped your arms around her waist. One thing you loved about her was that, no matter by what kind of physical contact you manifested your love for her, the older woman always seemed to melt at your touch.
"Stay another night," she whispered, entwining your hands in hers and then kissing them.
It was the fifth night in a row she had said that to you. No problem, though, it wasn't the first time it had happened, so you prepared yourself beforehand and packed more clothes to stay with her as long as you both wanted.
"Yes, I have another change of clothes..." you replied. "I think at this point, I'll have more clothes here than at home."
She turned to meet your gaze, and glanced at your lips briefly to lean in and kiss you gently. You, likewise, melted at any action of your girlfriend, and the taste of her lips never failed to delight you immensely.
"Move in with me," she was quick to say, resting her forehead against yours. "Let's find a nice house, let's officially adopt Liho, hell, let's adopt a kid when we're ready. I want everything with you."
December 3rd, 2023
"Did you enjoy your time with Grandma Melina?" You asked the little girl walking beside you in the direction of the car.
"Very much! She taught me some fighting techniques, and then we tried them on Grandpa Alexei," she replied, and you laughed at her statement. "He went down like a sack of potatoes."
Alissa Grace Romanoff.
A girl you and Natasha adopted when she was four years old. Now, at six, you were increasingly amazed at how smart, strong and determined she was, showing an interest in being like her mother but also possessing an artistic sensitive side.
"Did you leave my drawing with mom?" She asked, once you placed her in the back seat of the car and buckled her in.
The little girl remembered Natasha fondly, and longed for her with all her heart. Fortunately, she was at an age where she was more likely to remember more, and you would keep her memory alive in her mind.
You and Natasha worked hard to give her the best memories, so that her childhood was something she looked back on with fondness and happiness, unlike your girlfriend, who couldn't do the same and always avoided to think in the slighest about the matter.
"Of course I did, I left her your drawing and the beautiful flowers you suggested," you confirmed, kissing her small forehead and then heading to the driver's seat.
You needed some time alone in the cemetery every time you visited your girlfriend, even more so on this day. On the one visit where you took your daughter, you broke down to such an extent that she ended up crying a lot more than she initially was.
Knowing that holding back wasn't the best way to go, you preferred to go alone and vent properly. It hadn't even been two months since October 16th, so there were still times when you cried to the point where you couldn't get up from the floor. And when you finally did, your eyes were so swollen that you had to go home and wash your face so that they would look better so as not to worry the little girl.
Melina and Alexei insisted that you visit Natasha first, and as always, they were more than happy to spend time with their granddaughter. Since you got up early, knowing that you would take your sweet time, you returned early as well, so that they would also have their space on this day to visit their beloved daughter.
The day passed quietly.
You bought some lunch, and both of you ate while watching 'Tangled' for the thousandth time, but this movie ended up being background noise, as your daughter continued to tell you about how Merlina did her combat technique demonstrations and Alexei was the 'brave volunteer' who would attack her, even if he wasn't volunteering or brave at all.
At 5 p.m., you sat next to Alissa at the coffee table in the living room, and opened her maths book. She had an assignment to complete a page of two-digit addition problems, and although it was due on Friday, she was always allowed to do it on Sunday afternoons.
You preferred her to do it as soon as possible so she could spent the whole weekend freely with no pending homework, but well, the habit of leaving it until last minute stuck with you because Natasha was a little bit of a softie.
October 30th, 2022
You heard the loud sound of falling metal, causing you to startle and wake up in alarm.
Natasha was not in your bed, and that increased your concern. Maybe it was a thief, a spy, an enemy of Natasha's who broke into the house...
But when you ran to see the source of the sound, you found Natasha in the kitchen, and Alissa sitting at the counter. They both looked in your direction, and smiled innocently.
"We didn't mean to wake you, detka," Natasha spoke, and you noticed the silver bowl in the dishwasher, the one that previously fell and woke you up, nearly giving you a heart attack.
"Oh, what's wrong?" You asked, your eyes half open. The clock on the microwave read one in the morning.
"I went to get a glass of water, and mom was reading in the living room," Alissa explained. "I couldn't sleep, and neither could she."
"So we made Halloween-themed cupcakes," Natasha concluded, pointing with her head towards the oven, whose dim light gave you a view of the cupcakes baking inside it.
You laughed at Natasha's solution, and were deeply touched as well. Any other parent would have made their kid a glass of milk, read a story, or accompanied their child until they fell back asleep, but your girlfriend decided to keep her awake and make Halloween cupcakes.
"I suppose you'll write a note saying that Alissa won't be going to school," you deduced, knowing the redhead very well.
She nodded.
Your daughter didn't even have to pretend to be sick to miss school, she just had to say she didn't want to go and Natasha would melt at her puppy eyes and let her stay home. As much as you hated to be the boring one, you had to set certain boundaries, however, your efficient communication with both of them always led to an agreement without making you look like the bad one. So, if Alissa went to school, on the way home you would stop for ice cream or go to the park.
But of course, this was an occasion where there was no choice but to agree to skip school, otherwise Alissa would be sleepy all day.
"All right, let's start working on the toppings, shall we?" You said with a wide smile.
December 3rd, 2023
"These crayons that Aunt Yelena gave me have very good pigmentation," Alissa commented, as she ran the brownish-red crayon over the white sheet of paper.
You laughed at the use of words. Somehow, she always managed to learn new words and use them appropriately. Little things you noticed and loved about your daughter.
"Oh, the 500 color box she brought from her last mission's trip? What are you drawing?" You asked, looking up from your book to pay attention to her. However, she was quick to cover her work with her arms.
"You can see when I'm done," she established.
Whenever she did the tedious math homework, Alissa redirected her attention to her drawings. She always knew that after working hard, she deserved to do something she enjoyed afterwards. No one told her, she just knew it was the right thing to do, and you were going to fight to death with anyone who dared make her believe otherwise.
Yelena could be considered the world-traveling aunt, except for the fact that it wasn't for fun and more for the purposes of freeing brainwashed Black Widows.
And when she was in town, your daughter would always come back with her sugar at 110% because her Aunt Yelena spoiled her with exaggerated doses of sweets, after taking her to the amusement park or the movies. You had difficulty putting her to sleep, because it was 9 p.m. and Alissa kept running around the house even though you begged her in every possible way that it was time to go to sleep.
So, while she was at the coffee table drawing, you were on the couch with Liho lounging in the other single recliner, taking her fifth nap of the day. The little black cat was no exception when it came to missing Natasha, constantly climbing on the bed on the side that used to be where she slept, meowing as if she was wondering where that nice redhead she used to visit in her apartment had gone.
Cats were transcendental beings, and you wondered if during her naps, she really did have astral travels where she could meet your girlfriend without worrying about the planes of existence that she could easily visit with zero effort.
You had your legs covered by the same blanket that once also kept your girlfriend warm on these cold days, and how she used to sneak under it to lie on your lap or to tease you by placing her cold hands under your shirt.
"I'm done," Alissa said after a few minutes. "It's mom."
You took the drawing delicately, as if it were a work that required the touch of cautious hands only, almost as if a very abrupt movement would fade the work captured on paper.
You watched carefully.
It was Natasha, but she did not have her reddish hair with blonde ends as your daughter had known her, but was from years ago, and you wondered if the girl had come across more pictures besides the ones hanging on the wall.
"Ah, here she has long curly hair. You portrayed her beautifully, honey," you complimented her, a nostalgic smile plastered on your face. "There was a time when her hair was like that, actually."
"I know," she admitted. "Mom told me she was just working for S.H.I.E.L.D back then and that's how she met Iron Man, pretending to be Natalie Rushman, a new assistant. That was the start of this whole Avengers adventure."
"Oh, yes..." you let out a chuckle. "Who told you that? Aunt Yelena?"
"No, mom told me."
"Ah, mom told you... when?"
"Last night, last night I dreamed about her," Alissa replied, so casually that it seemed to surprise her no longer. At first, she woke up crying, saying she hated the reality, and wished it wasn't a dream. However, over the days she began to relate it as if it were a regular occurrence. "We were in my room, and she saw my drawing wall. She asked me to draw her this way too, because she misses her long hair," she added. "Oh, and she also told me that birthday candles actually grant wishes. Because she once wished she was 36 forever, but she negotiated with you and it ended up being 38."
You tensed your jaw, and you mewed all the way in while making a superhuman effort not to burst into tears right there.
You had these recurring dreams of Natasha, mostly where she would tell you how proud she was of how you kept going for yourself and your daughter every day. In another, which was the day you met Yelena, the same night, you dreamed she asked you about how you liked her. In all the dreams she told you that she loved you and Alissa, and that sooner or later, she would find a way to get back to you.
"I'll find a way back," she said. "In the meantime, remember that love transcends time and space. We love each other, that's all we need to stay together more than ever."
Your daughter had similar dreams, with the difference being that many of them were just about the two of them spending time together like they used to.
You knew that Natasha healed her inner child through activities with Alissa. She might have looked mature and tough on the outside, but on the inside, she loved spending time with her little girl and at the same time giving the little Natasha living inside her all those experiences she was deprived of.
You thought you were going crazy and delusional, and that these dreams were just your subconscious going to great lengths to offer comfort and protect you and Alissa from pain.
But, it was not possible for Alissa to know that, as it happened long before she was adopted. That little anecdote you never mentioned it to a single soul, and neither did Natasha, otherwise it would have been brought up long before. Besides, your daughter wasn't a liar. And there was no way for her to know this.
There was just no way for her to know.
"You know, mom told me that, as long as we love her, she can transcend space and time, and be here, even if it's not on the physical plane like we are," you spoke finally, your voice failing to sound steady. Still, you didn't try harder. Natasha taught you in that support group when you first met her that even the strongest heroes had a right to break.
"Like she does when she visits me," Alissa concluded, smiling excitedly. "I know it's not my head or my imagination. I know it's her."
March 2nd, 2023
"I know it's you, mom!"
"No, who's your mom? I'm Rapunzel," Natasha said, in a high-pitched voice, far from her raspy tone.
She looked adorable in that blonde wig that came down to her heels, the purple dress and the makeup you did before your daughter arrived at the park where she would be having her very first surprise birthday party. Natasha insisted on dressing up instead of hiring an impersonator, because that way it would be more special and a nicer memory that her daughter would look back on in a few years.
"And I am, Flynn Ryder!" Steve came out from behind a tree, with his hair styled like said character, and a costume that also closely resembled, he even had that cross-body bag around his torso.
"That is you, Uncle Steve," she paused. "Oh, but I don't need a princess when my mom is a hero!" The little girl ran from her seat, and hugged Natasha's legs, who with a pout and teary eyes, lifted her off the floor and hugged her tightly.
That scene caused your eyes to glaze over as well, and as you looked around at everyone present, you realized you weren't the only one.
Steve, Clint, Melina, Alexei... everyone was touched. Everyone close to Natasha knew very well what it meant to her to have been given the opportunity to be a mother despite her past and unavailability to get pregnant, and watching the amazing job she was doing would warm up even the coldest heart.
"Hey! What about me?" Steve exclaimed, feigning offense at Alissa's exclusion.
"You too!" The little girl extended her arm in his direction, inviting him to join in the embrace.
Natasha then extended her free arm in your direction, and you didn't know how or at what point, but suddenly everyone present was enveloped in a group hug. Even Alexei ended up joining despite his previous rivalry with Steve. It was something everyone definitely needed.
"Okay, darling, let's pretend you don't know it's us and let us perform the act we prepared," Natasha spoke, and the little girl laughed at the silly impression of Rapunzel and Flynn Ryder your girlfriend and Steve had prepared for this special ocassion.
December 3rd, 2023
"We will be here when you come back, my love," you whispered with your forehead leaning against Natasha's, after pulling stay from a passionate kiss.
"Don't worry yourself. Clint and I will go to another planet, collect one of the Infinity Stones and be back in literally a minute," was the last sentence Natasha directed towards you, very confident that those words would be the truth.
"Damn you, Natalia!" You exclaimed, throwing your phone towards the floor of your room, so hard that you wouldn't be surprised if it broke.
It wasn't the best idea to end this day looking at old pictures; of your first dates with Natasha, of when you moved in together with Liho, and of the day you adopted Alissa, among thousands of other memories frozen through photograph.
You were drowning in your own tears again like every night, after Alissa was already sound asleep in her room to hear you.
It was a routine where you fell asleep after draining it all away, so you would have the strength to face another day without her.
You missed her caresses, her kisses, hearing her laugh, her jokes and her raspy voice in the mornings.
All physical aspects that ultimately were a form in which her eternal essence manifested itself, but you knew now more than ever that you were only used to her physical form, but that her essence would live on until the end of time.
Until she would return to us again.

my peter | peter parker
takes place during no way home, tw: cursing maybe, mentions of suicide
i dont i remember the movie, and i couldn't pull it up so enjoy this made up script that loosely follows that plot with multiple time gaps :)
ghostspider!reader (yall the ghostspider was researched for like 15 minutes and i have the most vague understanding of it)
summary: you end up in peter's world... just not your peter's. (takes place during no way home.)
word count: 2.0k-ish words
i didn't know how i ended up here. on second i was there... and then... i wasn't.
i remember falling, i think. from something tall? a building. yeah, a building. no. we were- we were on a clock tower? at the top. and the last thing i remember is a gunshot. shot directly at my webs-wings...?
i was falling, and then i wasn't.
i pulled myself up against the wall of the dark alleyway, shivering as the cold air wrapped itself around me, sending goosebumps down my skin. i simply couldn't remember how i'd gotten here, and it was killing me. i staggered out, my vision blurry. i hovered my hand in the air, faint blue sparks crackling.
my eyes widened when i heard loud honking, and bright lights seared into my line of sight. i opened my mouth to scream, but suddenly a blur of blue and red swung by me, and then my feet weren't in the ground. i buried my nose into the neck of whoever it was, and it only took one thing to figure out who it was.
his smell. he smelled like love and pinewood and all the sweet things. and as creepy as it probably sounded, he smelled distinct, like home. he was home.
he was peter.
even after he'd set me down somewhere, i still let my arms linger for a moment longer. or two.
"uh, ma'am? i-"
my eyes glazed over, because here he was. here was peter. but how? wasn't he dead? my peter was dead, right?
"peter, love, is- is that you? how-... oh my god. i- i thought you were dead- you have no idea how happy i am to see you. i'm actually going crazy, aren't i? you wouldn't believe it. because one second, i'm on the clock tower and then you're here and i'm in an alley. what happened?"
he was stuttering, and clearly struggling to piece together a sentence. "w-who's peter? i'm not- i'm not peter," peter said, laughing nervously.
"can you not, babe? i'm in a dilemma. like, dilemma dilemma. no joking right now. like... you're here. right now. in front of me... but... you're dead."
"i'm not peter, and not dead." he added.
"hon, we've literally been over this. i know you're spider-man. remember when i walked into you changing out of the suit? because, like, not to brag, i knew something was up."
"look, lady, i've got no idea who you are, but you need to chill. i don't know who you think i am, but i'm certainly not him. please let me take you home, or to your asylum, or wherever it is that you live."
"pete, this isn't funny."
"yeah, i get that. and i'm not peter."
"yes, you are. you're peter parker, age nineteen, you live with your aunt, and you swing around in speedos all day for fun. i think i know who my fucking boyfriend is, all right? now tell me what's going on, like, right now."
he was speechless, and i took that as an opportunity to rip his mask off his face, causing him to yelp in shock. i could see anger knitted onto his eyebrows, and tucked fiercely behind his eyes. "what the hell-!"
in every way possible, he was peter benjamin parker. except one.
i ran my thumb over his left cheekbone, brushing the spot gently.
my peter parker had a scar across that part of his skin, and i knew that because i kissed him there every morning. right? ...right?
so what on earth was going on?
"you- you don't..." i took a half step back, and i knew he said something, but i couldn't hear him. my heart was thudding so loudly in my chest, i could hear it in my ears. when i turned around, i saw a large building, and on it was a giant "a", lit up and shining like a christmas tree.
since when was that there? since when was...?
and the more i looked, the more i could pick things out. many, many things. like the fact that there was a delmar's? as far as i knew, that didn't exist. it didn't... it wouldn't- but then what was i looking at? what was happening?
my head was aching, and it felt like the migraine i had would kill me.
fuzzy images swirled around in my brain, pressed towards the back of my head.
"-under arrest."
"she can't-"
screaming.
"-murdered harry-"
"he tried to-"
"-killed peter.
"peter-... suicide-"
"no-"
fuzzy again.
more screaming.
"-doesn't justify her actions-"
"she-"
god, the screaming. it was drilling itself into my head, burning into my memory. and it wouldn't stop. it wouldn't- wouldn't stop.
peter was dead. harry was dead. and i was wanted for- no. no, no, no, this couldn't be happening. i was- i-
i took another step forward and i felt the the floor behind me disappear. only then did it hit me that i was on the high piller of a big bridge. i heard a thwip behind me. and i was pulled back, my back hitting something. tilting my head up, i saw peter's (was it even him?) confused expression, before it morphed into something of understanding. like he knew somthing i didn't.
"you're right. i am peter parker. but i'm not your peter parker. i, uh, i'm not really sure how to explain it, but this isn't your universe."
"i- i don't-"
"i know, i know. i can help you, but only if you trust me. can you do that?"
i didn't even comprehend the fact i was nodding, because not even a second later, i was holding onto him for dear life and swinging.
-
things had happened (not many) since i'd met him. met? was that the right word? because i'd met him before, and god, i'd done a little more than just love him. but i think this was different. maybe because i... i was in a different universe? multiverse? he tried to explain it to me, but my brain still hadn't caught up.
also, i cried.
a lot.
and then i stopped. because my tear ducts were dead, and it didn't feel real. so i ignored anything that had already happened, and focused on what was about to happen.
everything was hazy, and i couldn't figure it out.
for some reason, being near this peter made me feel safe. because he looked the same, talked the same, and acted the same. i pulled his hands to me, holding them in mine. my lips were pressed in a thin line, and my eyes were watering, briming with tears.
he could tell i was scared. i think he was, too, because he didn't let go. he stayed by me.
when would i go home? go back to peter? not any peter, my peter. was i even going to get to go home?
i wasn't alone here. we were in some... basement? it doesn't matter. anyways, there were other people. three were in some weird cell thing, and there was a boy, maybe around peter's age, talking to another man.
he was tall and had a fancy looking cape around him that i could only wish i had. he was awesome, i decided.
"hey, uh, girl," he nodded towards me, and on instict i sat up a little straighter. "do me a favor, yeah?" he asked me, but i got the sense that it was rhetorical, so i didn't answer. "go- go stand over there," the man squinted and pointed his finger toward a small corner, secluded slightly."
"dr. strange?" peter inquired, "what are you-"
"uh-bup-bup-bup. no talking, spiderling."
i made brief contact with the curly hair boy and dropped my hands, standing up to do what he was saying. at this point, i'd figured that it was better not to question cape guy. but the second i got there, i hear a whoosh of air behind me. turning around, i saw that they were trapped in the same translucent cage.
"hey!" peter yelled, "what the fuck did you do? does it look like she's of any harm at all?"
i paused. they weren't in it. i was. sucking in a breath, i stumbled backwards, hitting the wall. i just wanted to go home. i didn't ask for this. i didn't ask for any of this. i just wanted to go home. to peter. to my peter.
"what's the point, anyways?" strange retorted. "she can't go home, now can she? and she sure as hell can't stay here."
peter didn't say anything, so strange continued. "she's gonna die, peter, and there's nothing we can do." he looked at me, "i'm sorry."
"no," i murmured, so quietly i was suprised to hear myself. "you aren't sorry. don't shit yourself. you don't care. and why would you? this doesn't concern you, you selfish bastard."
"she can stay here," ned piped up. "with us. s-she can help us- an-and..."
"yeah!" peter exclaimed. my heart beat a little faster then.
strange sighed and shook his head, "i don't think you understand the consequences-"
"so what do i do then? go ahead, enlighten me. take her home to die? because, yeah, that makes me a great hero."
"kid, it's not about-"
"she's staying. she's helping us send them home... and then- and then she can stay." he looked over at me, "you do want to stay, right?"
i shrugged. what was left at home for me anyways? death row? maybe i could have a fresh start. here, with... peter. could he be my peter?
"yes. i do."
"then it's settled, let her out," ned declared.
-
pete and i were outside, on the roof. we weren't talking, but the silence between us was enough. i lit small blue sparks in my hand, playing with them. it was nice. it was comforting.
"so, uh- woah. that- that's awesome!"
i looked over at him. "huh? oh. yeah. i'm like you, but not."
he looked confused, so i took it upon myself to elaborate.
"well, you're spider-man. i'm- i'm ghost spider. long story. don't wanna go into it."
"it's okay. i can't do that. i can stick to walls," he grinned, making me snicker.
"oh, what a skill."
"how'd you get here?" peter asker, once the giggles died down.
i sucked in a breath, "harry osborne? i don't think you have one. he was my peter's best friend. got into an argument because harry was sick and he needed peter's blood to... i dunno, heal? get better? anyways, peter wouldn't give it to him because of the possible effects his blood could have, because of the spider bite."
he nodded, signaling me to continue, "harry pulled some crazy shit, turned into a crazy flying green man... and... he killed my peter." my voice cracked towards the end.
"i- i'm so sorry."
"it's okay. harry made it look like a suicide, but i knew. i knew and that was enough. harry owed oscorp, which is like the stark industries. who's gonna pin it on a rich white man? no one. i guess i had enough... and i killed him. the world found out and they all wanted ghost-spider dead. so... yeah. i don't really remember how exactly, but i fell from a clock tower. i know that if i tried, i could've saved myself. but i- i didn't want to."
"i'm sorry." he said again, because what else was there to say? "i lost my... you."
"what?"
"my mj. strange says there's a version of every person in every alternate universe. mj was you. i couldn't save her."
"that's the worst part of this job. you can't save the ones that matter the most."
"yeah," he murmured solemnly.
"i'm glad that if i'm stuck here, i'm stuck here with you."
he smiled, dropping his head onto my lap, and i quietly played with his hair.
-
"oh my god. we did it. we- we did it!"
"yeah," he said quietly.
"oh, peter, i'm so, so, so sorry. about- about all this. about may, and about the whole world, well, except me, forgett-"
"it's okay," peter smiled softly, pulling me close to him. "because... at least i got something good out of it," and with that, i'm proud to say, he kissed me.
yes, we were still grieving. but it would be okay. because we'd do it together.
my peter.

Pt. 1
"Hey Leo?" Jason started and Leo looked away from his food he was stabbing multiple times. "Yeah?"
"Whens your birthday?" It's a normal question. A question anyone who didn't grow up running around cared about.
"Yeah. I think you're the only persons birthday we haven't celebrated." Piper added and Leo answered honestly, going back to eating his eggs.
"Oh. I don't know." Saying they were speechless was an understatement.
"You don't... know?" Percy asked as if it's the most unbelievable thing in the world and Leo stopped eating to look at them with a raised a brow.
"Yeah? I don't know, as in, I don't remember."
"Who doesn't remember their birthday?" Annabeth asked and Leo shrugged.
"Lots of people."
"You know lots of people who don't remember their birthday?" She pushed.
"Not personally but yeah. Met lots of them. Orphanages don't really care for that kind of stuff. So many kids we'd have a party every other week."
"What about foster homes? They had to have done something right?" Frank wondered out of pure curiosity.
"What is this? An intervention? Look, it doesn't matter. I forgot, I forgot, not a big deal."
"Dude, of course it is. That's the day you were born!" Percy exclaimed but Leo just shrugged.
"So?" Everything froze. It was such a simple word but held so much meaning. Oh...
When he realized what he said he just got up and left, not wanting to be questioned anymore.
"I'll be back." Nico said Shadow Traveling away.
------
"Oh, hello. What can I help you with?"
"Hi so I'm one of your sons friends and I was wondering when his birthday is?"
"You know my son?"
"Yes?"
"Is-is he okay? Is he safe?"
"Yes, yes, he's safe. He's at Camp."
"Camp?! But what about outside of it?! Does he have somewhere to stay when he gets out?! I..." He admired how much she loved him. Her voice was like applesauce, a little scratchy but mostly smooth and calming.
"Woah hey. It's okay. He's safe. Camp is a year-round place. He has a plan."
"He does?"
"Yes." He assured and she nodded wiping her tears.
"Lo siento, I've just been so worried."
"I completely understand ma'am. But we do only have ten minutes."
"Alright. Now what was the question?"
"When his birthday is."
"It's July, 7th. But why couldn't you ask him?" He told her what happened and she fell to her knees.
"Oh cariño, lo siento mucho. Debería haber estado allí."
"Ms. Valdez, you have nothing to be sorry for. You couldn't help it, people die."
"Oh, lo sé, lo sé. I just... was he at least safe? After I died?"
"Wish I could say yes." He said sadly and she sobbed. He held her.
"But he's safe now. We're taking care of him. I promise." He couldn't imagine being in her shoes. Being dead, hearing that your son is alive after all these years and finding out he hasn't been safe since, in any means.
"And he is such a wonderful guy. He's so funny, and kind, and selfless, and smart." She pulled away to wipe her tears.
"He was always the charmer." She said with a knowing smirk and he blushed.
"You know?"
"The whole underworld knows about you liking boys. I never thought it'd be with my son but if he's your type..." She said wiggling her eyebrows.
"Oh! No, we're not a thing. I just... really like him. Ugh..." He said covering his face and she laughed. Loud and unpredictable. Just like Leo.
"Well. I think you should tell him." She suggested and he shrugged. "Maybe one day."
"Gracias. I haven't felt this relaxed in forever. I should really take Emily up for that spa one day." She said and Nico smiled.
"Aye, I apologize. You should probably get back."
"Um... yeah..."
"Before you do, could you tell him something?"
"Yes, of course."
"Tell him it's not his fault. And I love him. More than he could ever know." Nico nodded with a small smile.
"Of course." Then she did something unexpected. She kissed his forehead.
"You're an angel." She disappeared and he stood there in stunned silence before smiling again. Now to talk to Leo.

Any Fan's Dream, Part 2
Tumblr media
Any Fan's Dream Masterlist
Synopsis:
When you look around and see Avengers Tower in front of you and Peter Parker beside you, you wonder how the hell you managed to get into the MCU.
"Are you sure you're alright?" Peter asked, unlocking the door to his home. He opened the door, you followed him inside.
"For the hundredth time Peter, I'm fine." you said, smiling at him to try to reassure him. "Promise. In fact, I've never been better!"
And you meant it. After all, you got to meet the Avengers and you were close to Peter Parker and you're pretty sure your heart stopped beating multiple times today out of excitement.
"You were kidnapped." Peter said, how were you this happy?
"I know!" You nodded, you got to get kidnapped by Loki! And he kissed your hand! Your hand! You remembered that people weren't supposed to be this excited after getting snatched. You tried to cover it up, and grinned when you thought of a way to distract him. "I'm just excited because I got to meet Spider-Man! He picked me up and swung me to the Tower, it was so awesome!"
You had the time of your life while swinging through the city with Peter, it was so exciting and you couldn't help but enjoy the rush. You were still unsure about whether you were dreaming or hallucinating or you actually somehow got transported to the MCU. But you had started to lean toward the latter explanation. You'd never had a dream this vivid and detailed, so either you were actually there in the apartment with Peter or you were on drugs.
"You met Spider-Man?" Peter asked, trying to look shocked.
You laughed at his bad acting, although he just assumed it was a happy laugh. "Yep! It was so cool!"
"Peter? Who is this young lady you’re standing in the dark hallway with?" a familiar woman asked, a smile on her face.
You had to clap a hand over your mouth to not scream. HOLY SHIT IT'S AUNT MAY!! You realized how weird that must've looked and forced a cough to try to explain the strange action.
"Oh uh May, this is (n/n)-I mean (y/n). (y/n), this is my Aunt May." Peter said, tripping over his words.
May's smile grew. "Ah, (n/n)? Nice to meet you, I've heard a lot about you."
Peter flushed, sending her a look.
You couldn't help the laugh that escaped you, finding their relationship wholesome. "Nice to meet you too, Ms. Parker. Glad to hear that Peter talks about me as much as he talks about you."
"I like her," May laughed, "be nice to her, Peter." Peter, whose face was still red, just nodded. May let loose another laugh, but left the two of you with an, "I'm going to bed. Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"
You laughed at the expression on Peter's face, collapsing into breathless chuckles. He rubbed the nape of his neck, the tips of his ears red. He glanced at your expression and laughed along with you until the two of you were laying on the floor giggling like five-year-olds.
The two of you spent the next half hour laying on the floor, one of you laughing randomly and then the other giggling at the laugh that came out of nowhere. The two of you played 'would you rather?' and multiple times had to hold in laughter so you wouldn't be too loud and wake up May.
At one point, Peter's answer surprised you so much, you had to slap both hands over your mouth to keep from howling with laughter. You were focused on trying not to release the laugh and didn't notice the way your face had scrunched up like an angry chipmunk. Peter noticed and had to copy your movements so he wouldn't be the one to wake up May. And then you looked like an angry chipmunk and he looked like a constipated duck.
The two of you couldn't hold your laughter after that and you both dissolved into raucous laughter.
"May definitely heard that," Peter choked out between giggles.
You knew he hadn't said anything particularly funny, but for some reason that comment killed you and you joined him in breathless laughter.
May did wake up. She walked out of her room to find the two of you rolling around on the floor and laughing like hyenas.
Her expression of 'wtf is going on?' only caused the two of you to laugh even harder.
~~
"I'm telling you Peter, you didn't need to walk me home." you said, which was a complete lie. You had absolutely no clue where you lived, you had just like spawned into this world and had no idea where you lived.
"It's no problem, (y/n)." He smiled at you. "You live pretty close."
The two of you continued down the hall. Peter had to grasp your wrist to keep you from walking past the apartment.
"Whoops," you laughed nervously. "Do you wanna come in?"
Peter looked shocked, "uh-into your house?"
"No, into the sewers. Yes, Peter. Into my house." you reaffirmed.
He glanced at his phone and deflated when he saw the time. "Sorry, I can't. It's late and I have to get back."
You nodded in understanding. "That's fine. Maybe another time?"
He grinned. "Sounds good."
"Bye, Peter."
"Bye, (n/n)."
The two of you stood there. Peter was waiting for you to get into your apartment then he would leave, and you were just standing there.
You remembered that you had to knock on the door. You rapped your knuckles against the off-white door, alerting your family to your presence at the door.
The two of you continued standing there staring at each other until your mom answered the door.
"Bye again, Peter."
"Bye again, (y/n)."
~~
You closed the door behind you, following your mother-was she your mother? She looked the exact same. Well, except for the warm smile she had when she opened the door. It wasn't that your mom from back home didn't smile, just that her smiles always seemed forced. Your relationship with your parents from your world wasn't horrible, you just didn't really have a relationship. Both of them were workaholics so you barely even saw them. They weren't mean or abusive, they just weren't there.
"That Tony Stank had you at work so late-"
She said it!! She said it!!
You snorted at the name. "It's Stark, mom. Not 'Stank'."
You were surprised by how easy it was to call her 'mom', but you guessed it was the whole "you're-my-mom-but-not-really" thing.
"Stank, Stark, either way he had you home way too late. What is he doing? Child labor?" She shook her head.
You smiled. "Technically not child labor, I'm 18."
Your mom rolled her eyes. "You and your technicalities. Now, who was that young boy at the door?"
"That's Peter, he went to the same school as me."
You hoped you were right, but truthfully you had no clue how the other you and Peter had met. You could see a picture of you in a blue gown with your parents on the wall behind your mom. You assumed you had just graduated, and based on the sunny-ness outside earlier, it was either summer or just a very bright day.
Your mom raised an eyebrow at the grin on your face, but decided not to press you for it. "So, did you at least eat?"
Your stomach growled in response, answering your mother's question. You smiled at her sheepishly, and she sighed in exasperation. In your defense, you were too occupied by the fact that you were kidnapped by LOKI and you met the mfing AVENGERS so excuse your forgetfulness but goddamn you wanted to simp and fangirl over them.
"When you move out you're going to starve," your mother said. "Come on, I'll heat you up some leftovers."
~~
After eating(which was take-out from this Thai place that was positively heavenly), you went to "your" room. It was a pretty nice room, a fluffy gray rug in the middle with a messy bed shoved into the right corner at the opposite end of the room from the entrance. A desk was against the wall to your left, and a TV was hooked on the wall across from your bed, presumably so "you" could watch TV in bed. The rest of the wall space was occupied by bookshelves and posters.
You threw yourself on "your" bed, marveling at the way the bedroom showed so much about the person that lived there. Your actual room back home was somewhat empty, your parents had never taken the time to buy you anything and you had been too busy trying to graduate high school with high marks so you could go somewhere far away for college.
You had one friend, and they were more of just a person who took the same classes as you so you helped each other out a lot. But even that was pretty impersonal, neither of you knew much about each other.
You shook thoughts about your world from your head, not wanting to dwell on your rather pathetic life back there.
"Hey! Go take a shower and go to bed!"
"Better listen to mumsy, I guess." you muttered.
~~
You sipped the beverage, praising Peter as you did so. "You're so awesome, Peter. I mean it." you said, drinking your favorite beverage.
"It really wasn't a problem," Peter protested, cheeks flushed at your constant compliments.
You knew that people probably didn't normally get this happy about a drink, but he brought you your favorite drink! Peter Parker got you your favorite drink! So you didn't really care that your praise might've seemed excessive, to you, it was the bare minimum. How else were you supposed to react? What? Say 'thank you' and leave it at that? But then you wouldn't get to see the adorable blush that was slowly turning Peter's face red. You couldn't miss the chance, that would be a crime against Marvel fans everywhere.
"So, uh, what're you gonna do at Mr. Stark's today?" Peter asked nervously, trying to get the subject off of him before he exploded.
You side-eyed Peter, knowing exactly what he was doing. You allowed it though, acknowledging that if his face got any more red it might be mistaken for a stoplight. "Building a cannon that shoots pears."
"You're-what?"
"Yeah, then I'm gonna go assault Flash with the fruits." You snickered at the thought that popped into your head of Flash trying to dodge pears.
Peter laughed. "Can you make me a cannon too?"
You turned serious. "Bold of you to assume you're worthy of the mighty pear launcher."
"My mistake, my mistake.” Peter apologized. “Might I have the honor of shooting a pear at Flash?"
You hummed, thinking about it. "I suppose."
~~
"Thanks for walking with me, wouldn't want to be kidnapped twice in a row."
Actually if it was Loki then you probably wouldn't mind-
Peter frowned. "You shouldn't joke about that."
"I promise, Peter, I am like 99%." you assured him. "But if you really wanna help, can I have a hug?"
Peter fought to keep the frown on his face but couldn't, "I guess. After all, we're gonna go shoot Flash with pears later. You need to be at 100."
You nodded, "I know. Which is why we should hug."
He laughed and wrapped his arms around you, you returning the embrace. You didn't think you'd ever get used to that. Everyone there gave such great hugs. You did not know how you had gone this long without a hug from Peter Parker. Someone cleared their throat behind the two of you and you were about ready to beat a bitch, but you let go and-
You squealed.
You honest to god, squealed.
But who could blame you?
Wanda Maximoff was standing there, giving the two of you apologetic smiles as she tried to go through the doorway the two of you were blocking.
"I'm sorry if I interrupted anything, but I have to get through." Wanda apologized, stepping through the doorway.
You could only stare as she walked away, frozen while she left.
"What was that?" Tony's voice interrupted your stupor, he had just arrived in the room to take you back to his lab. "You okay, kid?"
You could only nod dumbly and follow Tony to wherever the two of you worked, waving at Peter mindlessly, mind still on the fact that YOU JUST MET WANDA MAXIMOFF AND DIDN'T SAY ANYTHING!!
You were ashamed of yourself.
The two of you entered a workroom, countless screens glowing, displaying different inventions on them. You looked around in awe, you were in Tony Stark's workshop!
You remembered, "can we make a pear shooter?"
Tony shook his head. "Sorry kid. Today we're making you an iron man suit."
You screamed.
"Holy shit! What was that?!" Tony looked at you, concerned.
"ThisisamazingicandiehappyholywhattheactualfuckYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!"
Tony could only stare at you as you hopped around, giggling like a gorilla on drugs.
"You are so amazing Mr. Iron-Man-Boss-Sir."
~~
"Okay, I think that's enough for today." Tony dusted his hands off, "Capsicle and Triple Imposter are waiting for you. They're in the training room."
You nodded, the grin you had had been there for hours and Tony was beginning to get concerned that your face was going to freeze like that. You left the room to go to the training room then remembered-
You had no clue where the fuck the training room was.
So you wandered, seeing a lot of interesting rooms and then remembered-
"Hey, uh FRIDAY? Could you tell me where the training room is?"
"Of course, Miss (l/n). Continue going down the hall until there's another hallway, then turn right and the training room is the third door on your left."
"Thanks, FRIDAY."
"You're welcome."
You followed the directions, eventually arriving at the door FRIDAY had instructed and you pushed it open.
Your jaw dropped as you stepped into the colossal room. It was a large rectangular room, workout equipment to one side, mats to another, and a variety of different weapons on the back wall. Your eyes caught on a sword, an actual sword? Wait a minute, why is there a sword? None of them use swords. Well, Clint does but that's later. Speaking of which, where is Clint? Oh he's proba-
"You took your time getting here," Natasha was wrapping her knuckles. She was dressed in a simple tank top and leggings, classic workout attire.
"I got lost," you admitted. Natasha had cut off your train of thought, causing your mind to blank for a second.
Steve laughed. "How? You've basically lived with us since you graduated."
You took a mental note of that. "You can't say anything, you need help to unlock  your phone."
Natasha laughed. "She got you there, Stevie-o."
Steve cracked a smile, not taking offense. "Alright, alright. We should begin your training now."

I watched Disney's Robin Hood tonight, and here are some of my highlights:
This movie is so FUN. Even as an adult who has seen this movie so many times I laugh out loud multiple times when watching it
Prince John being fooled by The cross-dressing Robin Hood and little John because he cannot fathom the idea of Female robbers
Tumblr media
Everything about their heist is fun- but especially kissing away the ring jewels, the entire conversation between Robin and prince John, Prince John's reflection in the ball, sir Hiss being stuck in a basket and the thieves colliding when running out with their bounty
Tumblr media
We're really shown how wicked the sheriff is, stealing coins out of the cast of a cripple, the birthday gift from a kid and a beggar
Robin is very good with kids and gives the birthday boy a bow, arrow and even his own hat
Turns out both Marian and her Lady in waiting Kluck are also terrific with children and their little playing with the children is absolutely adorable
Marian having a wanted poster of her beloved in her room is so funny to me, I cannot get over it.
Tumblr media
Robin being a horrible cook because he is thinking about his lady love 😍
The cartwheels he does when he hears that the winner of the archery competition will get a kiss from lady Marian!❤❤👌
Tumblr media
Also he has zero chill during the competition. Someone with brain cells might think that he should mess up a couple of the shots to be more inconspicuous, but not him.
Cleaving the sheriff's arrow with his own is a Legendary TM moment though
Tumblr media
The little turtle cheering for his dad was adorable. I really enjoyed the looks of all the contestants too!
Robin and Marian's love confessions when he's been found out 😭
Little John is literally saving the day multiple times during the aftermath of the contest while wearing a crop top. Also him just vibing with the prince, or "PJ", is a testament to his acting skills.
After the fight breaks out Robin and Marin agree to marry, where to go for their honeymoon and discuss their future number of children (robin:"We'll have six children". Marian: "no, a dozen at least") They both have zero chill and are so hot for each other, it would be sickening if i didn't love it so much
Lady Kluck literally being Player of the Game during the fight, every single thing she does is a win
The entire fighting sequence is a joy from start to finnish
The song "Love" while Robin and Marian just walk around in the forrest talking and being well ... in love 😭😍❤
The scene with the warerlillies, fireflies and the flower-ring while they gaze into each others eyes is the textbook definition of Romance
Tumblr media
Much of the animation in A Phoney king of England is borrowed from earlier movies, but I like the little game I make of trying to remember wich animations are from which movie
I also like Friar Tuck's little theatre setup and Robin using his bow as a, well, bow when playing the violin
The song becoming such a hit in the town that Prince John raises the taxes even more, resulting in several people being put in jail (The jail part is not a favourite but the song being a hit is)
Friar Tuck absolutely losing it when the sheriff steals from the box for the Poor in his church.👏👏
The double take Robin does when he hears his friend is to be hanged on the morrow, first out of character then in character as the beggar.
(In the swedish version Trigger, who is suspicious of the beggar remarks that "han har en räv bakom örat" lit. trans ="he has a fox behind his ear" which means that he is up to something. I thought it was a fun pun considering Robin is a fox)
I view the whole breaking into the castle sequence each Christmas (as is tradition) but I always forget how much from the movie they cut out of the Christmas show
(The whole sequence with Robin masquerading as Nutsy, John freeing the prisoners and about half the fight/flight when they escape is cut from the Christmas show)
Trigger being unable to properly secure his crossbow is a great running gag. He calls his crossbow "gamla Bettan" in Swedish- probably translated: "Old Betsy". I wonder what he calls it in other languages?
Tumblr media
And each time I watch I lament that Robin gets too greedy, just leave that last money sack that the prince is cradling in his arms!!
Tumblr media
Robin (and little John) turning around to fetch the little bunny is so in character and kinda heartbreaking because Robin almost dies
Robin is really fearing for his life - especially in the burning tower
Robin's face after his escape and Skippy claims that he could've swum double the distance
Tumblr media
Was the ending rushed? Yes. Do I care? No.

GUYS NERDY PRUDES MUST DIE IS GREAT
Just wanna ramble some initial thoughts:
- it was really funny, i laughed out loud multiple times even though I don't really do that when watching shows alone
- pacing was fine, definitely better than black friday
- speaking of black friday, npmd is now my 2. Fav hatchetfield musical, bc i still think tgwdlm was better
- although npmd is definitely the weakest in the music category. Tgwdlm has virtually no skips, and bf has some really strong and catchy songs, but in this one I don't really remember any of the music except...
- THE LORDS IN BLACK SONG OH MY GOD THAT WAS AN AMAZING SCENE I LOVE STARKID THAT SCENE WAS SO FUCKING COOL
- I loved all the characters, Max was an effective villain. I think they could've leaned into explaining why he never had to face any repercussions for his actions (rich white star athlete guy who only wants grace bc she's "forbidden fruit" etc etc) and contrast it with his ghost self not being all that different in terms of responsibility (although i do like the "you're a nerd because i say so" stuff and then him telling solomon lauter he's a nerd bc he's a politician, it's a good show of his logic, or well lack thereof)
- steph is like if a himbo was a girl. To me <3
("pete get behind me i have a gun!!"
"Steph he's a ghost") <33333
- GRACE FUCKING CHASITY I LOVE HER. KILL AND MURDER YOU GO GIRL
- I thought they may go overboard with the anime jokes with Richie but they didn't. I love Richie also <3
- The set was great!!! And the lighting too!!!
- I would've really appreciated if there were subtitles bc i soooo couldn't understand 50% of the lyrics
- all the actors put their whole pussy in it, love the unhinged energy
- corey dorris as solomon lauter i love you so
- also love the continuation of in my mind the most important thing: the joey richter getting shot by his love interest cinematic universe (even if this doesn't exactly count)

Lovely to see a blog dedicated to one of my favourite Disney movies!
No idea if you've been asked this before, but instead of asking about the comedy I'll ask something harder to pin down: what's your favourite emotional moment from the movie? (Mine is probably the apology that doesn't need to be said scene at the grass meadow)
Oh, and if that isn't a stupid question, what are your thoughts on Kronk's New Groove and Emperor's New School?
hey, glad you like my blog!! i only made it this year, sort of on impulse because i was going through yet another emperor's new groove obsession and there's multiple blogs out there like this for my other favorite disney movies, but any similar blogs for ENG i could find hadn't been active in years. so i thought it'd be fun to start one myself. warning that i tend to ramble so this might get a little long.
this might be a bit of an obvious answer, but i think my favorite emotional moment might just be the scene toward the end when kuzco tells pacha he's decided not to destroy the village! i love how it manages to be both emotional and funny at the same time, with kuzco feeling the need to apologize in this snarky, indirect way and pacha knowing exactly what's up and going along with it, and then indirectly inviting kuzco to be his neighbor for the summer. it's so sweet.
no such thing as a stupid question! it's been a while since i saw kronk's new groove and i probably need to rewatch it. i do remember thinking last time i watched it that it was one of the better disney sequels, but also that kronk didn't need to have a love interest tbh? just because of the setup of kronk's papi wanting him to settle down with a wife and kids and a large house, and him being uninterested in those things and determined to stay true to his own groove. though i do love kronk and remember thinking it was cool how they expanded on his character. and i loved it whenever kuzco interrupted the movie and when he pretended to be kronk's fake wife, lol.
as for the emperor's new school... i actually have a lot more thoughts on it but i don't want to reply with a massive wall of text so i'll try to be as concise as i can here LOL. i'll also say that this is all just my own personal opinion and if anyone disagrees then that's totally cool! but the show kiiind of frustrates me and gives me a lot of mixed feelings because i don't like how kuzco is written in it. i get that people don't completely change overnight, but a lot of the time in the show he's just so mean and selfish and his development often gets reset so he can learn the same lesson again in another episode. he'll also have really sweet moments with malina but then go back to mistreating her. it just bugs me because i love him in the movie and i feel like the show could've handled him better while still having him be flawed.
but, on the other hand, the show is often laugh-out-loud funny and i'm really glad eartha kitt and patrick warburton returned to voice yzma and kronk in it, because they're the source of a lot of great comedy. i also think malina is a great character (she's surprisingly well-developed especially for a 2000s spin-off cartoon imo) and there are certain parts of her romance with kuzco that i find really endearing, plus she's headstrong and takes no shit from him, so i still ship them even though i dislike how he treats her sometimes. i also love the fact that kuzco moves in with pacha and chicha and pretty much becomes a part of their family. some of my favorite episodes of the whole show are the ones that center on that wholesome found family dynamic. i've been thinking of possibly making some gifs of my favorite moments from the series!

Everything I Watched This Year
I have watched the most movies this year of my life, which is still so few that I can fit them all into one tumblr post, so here they are in approximately chronological order (along with TV shows). I almost exclusively watch visual media with other people, and they're often the ones picking. Favorites get an asterisk (*), and this does not include rewatches.
*Fallen Angels (Wong Kar-Wai): Five loosely connected lonely people chase imagined versions of each other around the Hong Kong nightscape. I didn't go into a plotless arthouse film expecting it to be extremely funny, but it is. He Zhiwu (my new tumblr icon!) deserves to be up there among the deranged autistic blorbos of all time.
What We Do in the Shadows (Showrun by Paul Simms and Stefani Robinson) [First half of S4]: If you're on tumblr you probably know the premise already. I was disappointed that after S3, which felt like a build to huge shifts in the characters and status quo, S4 felt like a walkback. Don't remember much else about it other than crying laughing at the sequence where they try to get baby Colin Robinson into private school.
Brokeback Mountain (Ang Lee): Everyone knows what this movie is already. It's well-made and solid, but it wasn't anything that exciting for me. I expected it to be more striking. Love the 70s home production design in that one scene though, and that kiss truly is good.
*Velvet Goldmine (Todd Haynes): A reporter tracks down the truth of a rock star gay affair that sparked his own queer coming of age. Dreamy, gorgeous, and I could not describe the plot scene to scene if you paid me. Just a really lovely film to experience for me, someone who had latent and unnamed transgay feelings as a teenager about the concept of "emo boys kissing."
Phantom of the Paradise (Brian De Palma): Phantom of the Opera-inspired drama about a songwriter getting revenge on the predatory producer that ruined his life. Total delight of a campy melodrama.
Kamikaze Girls (Tetsuya Nakashima): A delinquent and fashion-obsessed scam artist strike up a lesbian-tinged unlikely friendship. This movie is bananas. Way more stylistically experimental than I'd expected--there's a sequence of the protagonist's birth, people just float offscreen sometimes, the townspeople constantly turn to the camera and advertise for the megamart they buy all their clothes from, etc. A really really surprisingly fun watch.
*Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury (Hiroshi Kobayashi and Ryō Andō) [First 6 episodes only]: Optimistic young pilot of a war machine that she may have an illegal psionic connection with goes to space high school and is promptly drawn into political plotting via accidentally getting gay engaged to a corporate heiress. Highly enjoyed the parts of it I saw - great action sequences, fun character drama, and just enough political substance. Not as weird as Utena, which it's inspired by, but can be brutal where necessary. I should watch more!
*In the Mood for Love (Wong Kar Wai): Two Shanghainese emigrants in Hong Kong discover their spouses are cheating and embark on a tragic affair of their own. God, this movie deserves every bit of praise it gets. I gasped out loud multiple times at the gorgeousness of shot compositions. Top notch acting, gorgeous colors. This tends to be a movie pitched as being about a repressed love affair, but it's also a movie about the positionality about being middle class colonial subjects and the relationships they have with the world. This gave me so much to chew on after I watched it.
Happy Together (Wong Kar-Wai): Two Hong Kong expats living in Argentina have a toxic gay relationship trapped in a tiny apartment. This one felt very opaque to me, and it is allegedly an allegory for Hong Kong being returned to Chinese rule after British colonialism, which I absolutely do not have enough background to really get. Wong is a great director though, and I constantly think about the sequence of the main character seeing the abusive ex walk into the club, beat while he finishes his drink, and then he breaks his bottle off and goes in to screams.
Bound (The Wachowskis): A lesbian handyman falls for a woman married to an abusive mobster that they plot to rob. The first 45 minutes were very enjoyable as a lesbian heist film. Unfortunately, once the gunshots started the torture scenes became so stressful for me to watch that I sweated through my shirt. (I also had Covid).

The day finally came, Keonhee was standing upfront at the center, eyes glued to the aisle, in which he would finally see you become his.
Although everyone eyes were looking forward, he was looking to the side, all anxiety leaving from his body, just as he saw the curtains to the aisle start to open, he shut his eyes and remembered everything you guys went through.
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
“Pardon me?”
Keonhee’s eyes met everywhere but yours, looking around at your scenery to make sure nobody was watching.
“Would you please go out with me?”
Guys had asked you out multiple times, but you rejected almost all because they were jerks to others and probably only wanted to date you for you looks, not for who you were
But Keonhee was different in a way…
Keonhee wasn't the most quiet human being, but he wasn't popular nor did he bully anyone. Anyone who knew him would tell you he was just loud and very funny.
You and Keonhee weren't strangers either, you guys definitely did talk once in a while, but you surely didn't know too much about him.
“As a date?”
The boy nodded to your question.
“I really like you, but we don't know much about each other, so maybe we could go out as a type of friendly date and get to know each other?”
Your mind immediately told you green flag, it was already a big deal that he actually wanted to know you before taking things to any extreme.
“Yeah, I get that. What day?”
The boy looked up at you with excitement.
“Wait... what!?”
“When do we meet up?”
He looked around to see if anyone was pressuring you, among not seeing anyone, he looked back at you.
“Saturday?”
“This Saturday?”
“Mmhm.” He responded in agreement.
“At?”
“You choose, I wanna make this a fun friendly meet up.”
“Let's just go to some restaurant for lunch.”
“Like..?”
“Maybe that Chinese restaurant? I really wanna try it.”
“Okay, at 3:00?”
“Mmm, I'll be there.”
Just then you heard the bells to lunch break end, you turned around and saw people going back inside from eating lunch with their partner and friends. You looked back at Keonhee, who was also looking at the others.
“We should get going, I'll see you later.”
You nodded and brought yourself back to inside to continue your classes.
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
“I think it's been enough time… don't you think?”
“What are you talking about?”
Both of you sat at a small hill that sat above the city, watching all the lights and cars that passed by, it was such a peaceful setting that made you feel safe, especially while being with Keonhee.
“Let's date.”
“What-?”
“It's been a few years… since my confession… we've been best friends... So let's date.”
“I thought you forgot..” you said letting out a small chuckle.
“I would never forget that.”
You nodded in agreement.
“Let's date.”
“Wait… seriously?”
“Yeah! Why not?” You again said letting out a small chuckle which Keonhee joined you in on.
“You didn't rush things with me, and took the time to get to know me. We became best friends, so yeah, it's time. Let's date!”
Keonhee grabbed his head in a playful way.
“I guess I didn't expect that answer “
“So are we gonna date or was that a joke..?”
“At first it was… but not really anymore.”
Keonhee leaned in a gave you a small kiss, which made you lean back in shock.
“First kiss already?”
“I don't see why not…” Keonhee teased as you hit him lightly..
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
“What did you get me this time?”
“Just open it.”
“Wae!? You're scaring me”
You lightly pushed your boyfriend away from you, you always knew that these small tiny gifts on random days were always something that went overboard, you both laughed as you put the box down and made a dramatic suspense between you and the small tiny box.
“Now you're making me nervous…”
You giggled a bit and then turned to face him.
“Why would you be nervous.”
You turned back as you lifted the top off of the box, a saw a ring, a beautiful ring for sure, you looked over at Keonhee in surprise.
“How much did this cost?”
“You'll never know” Keonhee said in his regular teasing pitch.
“It's so pretty…”
You didn't take it out, as you were scared to break or dirty it.
“You should wear it.”
You glanced at him and took the ring out of the box, while exploring your new piece of jewelry, you suddenly noticed the small carvings on the inside
A PROMISE
Turning you body to face Keonhee's you questioned
“A promise?”
“Mmhm… I wanna make a promise to you today.”
It didn't change a thing, you were still very confused on what he meant.
“What type of promise?”
“I wanna promise you that one day I will make you mine… permanently.”
“What…?”
“This is my promise ring to you… do you accept it?”
“Are you joking!? Of course I accept it! I love you so much… it's so pretty, but you didn't have to buy this much of an exclusive ring, you could've just shaped a stick and I would've been happy"
Saying jokingly and letting yourself fall onto your boyfriend, hugging him tightly and allowing him to kiss you multiple times
“Thank you so much.”
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
One thing slowly led to another, and eventually, one of those things was Keonhee being down on one knee in front of you, your mouth covered and tears begining to form in your eyes.
“Yn… you're one of the best people I've ever met in my life, you helped me overcome my insecurities and brought me into the light of your world. I am so lucky that I was able to find someone like you and bring you into my life… I'm sorry if I wasn't able to fufill the role I promised to take as your boyfriend, but I swear with all of my heart, that this entire time, my love for you hasn't vanished, because it's still as strong as the same day I met eyes with you. I wanna make you mine, protect you every moment I get, be the first one to support you when you need someone to cry on… I wanna be that person who you can rely on, and tell all your problems to, so will you please allow me to take care of you for the rest of your life..? Will you marry me?”
✧ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✦✧✦ ▬▭▬ ▬▭▬ ✧
Now… you're here, walking down the aisle in that white dress that drags across the floor, walking over to you fiance who you had dated for so many years…. waiting for the moment that you never thought would become a reality.
You walked slowly, smiling your entire way to your future husband, the man who promised to take care of you, and you swore to protect.
“You're gorgeous… you get more beautiful everyday..”
“I would say the same to you ...”
Keonhee held his tears inside as he heard the pastor say the words. Tension building as he asked you
“Do you wish to stay with Lee Keonhee for the rest of your life until death brings you apart?”
Not a single person moving, as the only noise came from the screaming silence. People watched you in excitement and anxiety, as you opened your mouth and said the words.
“Yes…”

I wanted to reply to some of the stuff from my ask, but didn't know whether to reblog it or send it as an ask, I thought it might be easier this way?
silly straws page - i read in 'dipper and mabel's guide to mystery and nonstop fun' that bill likes silly straws and thought it was a silly random tidbit, imagine how surprised i was when i realized there was LORE behind it.. im still figuring out some codes bc i dont wanna look them up and im having so much fun !!
YEAH the silly staws page! I'm so mad that Bill said "I cut the page where I was gonna talk about Shermie Pines" stop teasing mee
I know there are some really cool codes on that page, I haven't decoded most of the book for myself yet but I intend to. There's another code on that page which is a super cool and fun one to decipher (though i've already seen what it says online but I want to replicate it myself). The one that starts with "215 858 117 450 110 628.." etc.
stanford trying to keep me from reading the book page - "you cant hear the disappointed sigh im making rn, but i assure you it's devastating" i mean he failed to stop me from reading the entire thing in one sitting but i was just very happy to see ford's cursive again. It was really funny seeing him trying to guess what the reader would be convinced by (i saw the moth picture and thought 'whats that called, a goth moth?' I laughed out loud when it turned out that was actually its name)
Sameee I got to that page and i was thinking "hiiii!". I loved his attempt to stop us from reading by showing his cool moth, and it was even better when Bill says something later on along the lines of "if he tries to show you his moth collection, throw yourself off a cliff"
Also the photo of him looks cool, but the context of it is so funny. I've seen some posts on tumblr about Ford dragging Stan into the woods and getting him to take a picture of him looking angry and mysterious. Why else does he have a photo like that. It's so silly.
urban legends page - as a long time fan of creepypasta the references in this page absolutely delighted me. Also the art is so realistically horrifying, whoever drew these i love you
YEAH that page and the Mirror Realm one and others look so cool. The new artists brought on to work on this book did a wonderful job. It fits in perfectly with Bill's weirdness.
the one true intelligence test - idk this page just made me laugh a lot
So freaking stupid i loved it so much. I think my favourite was the "divide this number in half" bit.
Entire anti-cipher society part - i love how instead of telling the story in just plain text, they made us follow the story with newspapers and journal pages. What was that called. I swear there was a name for that kind of storytelling if anyone knows pls pls tell me
That whole bit was so interesting. It was a really fun way of telling the story!
every page with ford and fiddleford - BEAUTIFUL. SUBLIME. BEST THING TO EVER EXIST IN THE WORLD. I HECKING LOVE FRIENDS BEING WHOLESOME TOGETHER AND I LOVE IT MORE WHEN THEYRE MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS FROM MY FAVORITE SHOW. THEY MAD SNOWMEN OF EACH OTHER THATS SO CUTE
Imma be honest i never really... cared for Fiddleford before. Like, I think the show is better with him in it, and I like that Ford had someone good in his life aside from Stan back in the past, but I didn't know enough about Fiddleford to care. Granted, I haven't reread Journal 3 in a while so I likely would have liked him more if I could remember what was said there, but the stuff presented in the lost Journal 3 pages here were such a treat and I understand now. I really really like him now.
Fiddleford and Ford were so wonderful together! Fiddleford was so, so nice to Ford. I'm never going to get over how Fidds made Ford TWO christmas presents, one which had multiple prototypes to get right, then forgot to get a present for his own wife. Stanford means so much to him it's crazy.
Then Ford decorating the portal room with pretty lights and played Fidds' favourite song and they made snowmen???? That's adorable omg.
And ik this is about the book, not the website, but the stuff on there as well, like the college photo and it describing how they met. AND THE AXOLOTL. Fidds getting one for Ford because it reminded him of him. And i don't think it was even a holiday of any kind. BILL WHEN I GET YOU-
"but my aim is getting better" - do i need to explain this one
I CHEERED at that bit. I showed it to my friend and they didn't get it. I forgot that they're a casual fan who's watched the show like, once, and not like me where Gravity Falls has just permanently taken up some space in my brain.
whatever this page is called;
Tumblr media
I hated reading this (i loved reading this). i kinda got spoiled before i bought the book with an analysis post, had to literally put my phone down and think about what id just read. i think this page really puts bill and ford's relationship into perspective. ford's a person and bill's a multidimensional semi-god creature, bill will do and say anything in his power to get ford to do what he wants. this relationship cannot even begin to resemble normal. and also the forgetting your own name part horrified me, thats some good horror right there.. love it when books make me have a visceral reaction to tiny words on paper
I don't think I have anything extra to add I agree completely. I just love how much of a threat it shows Bill as. I think it works especially well because most of the book has been Silly Bill Shenanigans, you kinda forget what he's capable of. Brilliant stuff. i hated it.
call transcript from the police - OH the LORE and CHARACTER ANALYSIS FOOD RIGHT HERE. i could talk for hours about how bill straight up sucks at relationships and he's SO unwilling to admit he was upset about falling out with ford that he's lying to himself MULTIPLE TIMES OVER AND OVER and how a lack of genuine connection with people is eating him up - but if i talked about all that this post would spiral into insanity real quick. Also drunk bill talking into the phone was very very sad and very very on character and i could hear hirsch's bill voice inside my head it was really good aghjgnkhhh
LITERALLY YEA. And that kinda links up with the end of the book, where Bill is convinced someone will free him at some point. But he has no positive connections. He has no one that cares about him. And he did that all himself. Please, anytime, i will listen to your rambles. (just might not respond to it straight away but I WILL)
stan's page - I ALMOST CRIED AND I KNOW THATS KIND OF A WEIRD REACTION BUT I SAW THE STAN PAGE IN THISISNOTAWEBSITEDOTCOM OKAY AND IT WAS MAKING ME VERY UNWELL I WAS EXTREMELY RELIEVED TO JUST HEAR THIS MAN SO HAPPY AGAIN STANLEY PINES I LOVE YOU YOU DESERVE EVERYTHING
The messages from Dipper, Mabel and Stan were so lovely to see at the end. Stan is so happy now, and I'm happy for him. And it's just all really funny. "I only met him once and he cried like a baby then I punched him to death." Yeah that is basically what happened.
AH GOD YOU REPLIED TO EVERYTHING ????? THAMK YOU
YEAH the silly staws page! I'm so mad that Bill said "I cut the page where I was gonna talk about Shermie Pines" stop teasing mee
>:( he knows us too well he knows we'd give anything for more info about shermie...
Ive been stuck on the numbers one, im gonna give it one more try today but i think it's gonna take a brain bigger than mine jfbsjdkskfs im STEAMING aleeeeex why are you making this so hard for me/silly
Sameee I got to that page and i was thinking "hiiii!". I loved his attempt to stop us from reading by showing his cool moth, and it was even better when Bill says something later on along the lines of "if he tries to show you his moth collection, throw yourself off a cliff"
does that imply ford tried to show bill his moth collection at some point ????? imagine jdbshfjsnf
Also the photo of him looks cool, but the context of it is so funny. I've seen some posts on tumblr about Ford dragging Stan into the woods and getting him to take a picture of him looking angry and mysterious. Why else does he have a photo like that. It's so silly.
I WHEEZED WHILE READING THIS ID NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT??? but like. it's definitely on character i fully believe it happened. i mean this man backflips out of windows why not hnskdkdshd thanks for putting that image in my head
YEAH that page and the Mirror Realm one and others look so cool. The new artists brought on to work on this book did a wonderful job. It fits in perfectly with Bill's weirdness.
YEE!!!!! I think they were allowed to take more creative liberty than in the actual show, being a book and all, and i think thats really cool.
WELCOME TO THE FIDDLEFORD FANCLUB MY FRIEND. ive been a fan of him since the legend of the gobblewonker tbh.. i tend to latch onto very random silly side characters that fill the specifically shaped holes in my brain. Loved him more when i found out he had lore, love him even more after reading the book. Yay fiddleford 🎊
Then Ford decorating the portal room with pretty lights and played Fidds' favourite song and they made snowmen???? That's adorable omg. / And ik this is about the book, not the website, but the stuff on there as well, like the college photo and it describing how they met. AND THE AXOLOTL. Fidds getting one for Ford because it reminded him of him. And i don't think it was even a holiday of any kind. BILL WHEN I GET YOU-
i swear these two are absolutely adorable and that is an objective fact i will not take criticism. the page where ford was rummaging thru fiddleford's desk and found the glove prototypes broke me.
and also yeah the college photo ! i mean like. augh. how do i put this. theyre so friends. ford believed fiddleford was right even tho they barely knew each other and worked together and came up with an entire theory. idk it's so wholesome. AND FRILLIAM !!!!! FIDDLEFORD GOT FORD A LITTLE GUY AND FORD NAMED HIM FRILLIAM AND I AM GOING TO PERSONALLY SPRAY HAND SANITIZER IN BILL'S EYE FOR RUINING THIS. these two are dear to my heart im so so frickin glad they made up and are somewhat keeping in touch now..
I CHEERED at that bit. I showed it to my friend and they didn't get it. I forgot that they're a casual fan who's watched the show like, once, and not like me where Gravity Falls has just permanently taken up some space in my brain.
I KNOW THE PAIN SO SO WELL NO ONE AROUND ME EVEN KNOWS THIS BOOK EXISTS. ILL CHEER WITH YOU WHO CARES IF WE'RE NOT ON THE SAME CONTINENT. FORD MY GUY SLAYYYYYY🎊🎉🎊🎉🎊👏👏🎊🎉🎉👏👏👏
I don't think I have anything extra to add I agree completely. I just love how much of a threat it shows Bill as. I think it works especially well because most of the book has been Silly Bill Shenanigans, you kinda forget what he's capable of. Brilliant stuff. i hated it.
exactly.. bill is a Scary Silly Guy™️ thank you tbob for reminding us. it was very on character and we appreciate it a lot. but like did you HAVE to make ford suffer for it :'(
LITERALLY YEA. And that kinda links up with the end of the book, where Bill is convinced someone will free him at some point. But he has no positive connections. He has no one that cares about him. And he did that all himself. Please, anytime, i will listen to your rambles. (just might not respond to it straight away but I WILL)
Guy had it comin for him tbh. rest in therapieces bill ciphor reincarnate as a vole (also YOU WANT TO HEAR MY RAMBLES🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺???? dont mind me if i raid your asks sometime. or discord dms. whichever you prefer !)
The messages from Dipper, Mabel and Stan were so lovely to see at the end. Stan is so happy now, and I'm happy for him. And it's just all really funny. "I only met him once and he cried like a baby then I punched him to death." Yeah that is basically what happened.

Hello! I just wanted to say, I was browsing old Indeedsir posts as is my wont, and I came across your Meet the Family fic, and I really really love it and have read it multiple times. It's still open in a tab on my phone right now. I like Rebecca, she feels like a fleshed out real person and a believable Jeeves relative. I love outsider POV fics where you have to read between the lines, and I think you did that really well in that Rebecca doesn't have the information to understand straight away what she's seeing, but we understand perfectly what's going on between J and B. The contrast between her (understandable) assumptions about how a rich employer would be expected to treat her brother and what becomes clear is the actual reality is so !!!! The way she describes the way Reginald talks about Bertie makes me feral. She thinks Bertie is an idiot but we know he's just babbling because he's nervous about meeting Reg's family!! I adore the way Bertie and Reg are clearly communicating with each other nonverbally from the moment they get there. The moment where Jeeves looks at Bertie chidingly and Rebecca assumes there's no way Bertie could have picked up on it, but then she realizes he looks contrite made me want to scream!!! BEST moment (and there were a LOT of great moments). I love love love your characterization of Bertie, the way he's brilliant in his own way and shows hints of hidden vulnerabilities and is just INCANDESCENTLY in love with Jeeves. The way he tells the swan story oh my god!! (it's funny how we were just talking about that on that tumblr post recently!) Some of the dialogue made me laugh out loud.
There's so much more I want to say but I'm actually not sure how long asks are allowed to be, and I don't know if you even check LJ anymore and I honestly can't figure out how LJ works anyway, but if you ever saw your way to posting it on AO3 I would love to comment on it. I want to write a book report on it. I want to put it in a blender and drink it. I want to boil it down to a tincture and sprinkle drops of it on everything. It's SO GOOD.
Oh, wow. First of all, I am relatively new to tumblr and I don't know how to answer asks other than publicly, so hopefully this is all right! And no, I haven't logged into LJ in over a decade and I have no idea how to do it anymore!
Thank you so much. It's incredible to get any kind of feedback at all on a story I wrote fourteen years ago, but especially getting feedback like this is just incredible. I was (obviously) a much younger and less experienced person when I wrote my little smattering of Jeeves and Wooster fics, and though I have thought of them from time to time I didn't really have the courage to go back and read them again until you wrote to me.
Thank you for reaching out, for opening that door again. I spent last night rereading my Jooster stuff from when I was in my early twenties and it felt like reconnecting with a version of myself I'd almost forgotten. I never really thought about posting my old stuff on AO3, but I'm going to consider it. I will let you know if I do. I remember at the time I intended this particular story to be a part of a series, and I actually have half a chapter each of a story from the perspective of Bertie's sister (that mysterious person!), and Jeeves' uncle Charlie that I was going to add. Maybe I'll dust those off and try to finish them! I also happen to be a huge sucker for outsider POV, so it would be a lot of fun to play around with that series again.
Finally, I am so deeply pleased that you enjoyed it. I know anyone who produces art of any kind hopes that they can make some connection with someone or bring some joy into the world, and it absolutely delights me to know that something I wrote made you happy for a while. I appreciate your generosity in writing to me. Readers like you make writing so much better. People like you make life better.
And yes, it's so funny that we were talking about the swan thing like three days ago. I had forgotten I wrote that same sentiment in a fic a decade and a half ago. I guess none of us change as much as we think we do!
Thank you again. You've made my day, maybe week, maybe month.

I finally started reading Good Omens (NO SPOILERS! I've already spoiled myself enough.) and this is so far (59 pages) one of the best things I've read. It's so clever and fun, and I must have left a dozen "hehe" notes on the sides of my book (in pencil. I only just started writing in books and I would die before I used any sort of ink that could seep into or smudge on the pages.).
What I can't stop thinking about though, is that one woman who named her sons, I think twins?, Crowley and Aziraphale. Because, alright, my opinions may be a tad skewed bc I started being interested bc Tumblr and tiktok have bombarded me with details about these two from the show (Tumblr also some book stuff) that gave me some preconceptions but,,,,
Lady, how did you not notice that this could be interpreted as like, romantic? They have the most 'married couple' vibes on multiple occasions.
Spoilers under the cut! I go on a gush.
They are hilarious.
"Well I'll be damned"/"It's not too bad when you get used to it"
The start of this book, ugh, and yes, I'm back to the book now, this is my book rant and I'll take it to whatever direction my brain wants to, the fucking, the song choice for the Bentley to play!! It's so clever!!
"It wasn't a dark and stormy night. / It should have been, but that's the weather for you. For every mad scientist who's had a convenient thunderstorm just on the night his Great Work is finished and lying on the slab, there have been dozens who've sat around aimlessly under the peaceful stars while Igor clocks overtime."
And later on fucking BOHEMIAN PHAPSODY PLAYS- excellent music choice btw- AND IT'S SO GOOD
They it should've been a stormy night and just the EXACT PASSAGE OF THE SONG TALKING OF THUNDERBOLT AND LIGHTNING PLAYS OUT RIGHT AFTER STAN GETS OFF THE RADIO-
The pacing and detail work is just phenomenal in this book, PHENOMENAL
"For Americans and other aliens" (paraphrasing) had me chuckling out loud. Been identified an alien.
There's at least 3 doodles of snake Crowley I've drawn in the book so far.
Also the bit about this being the most repaired book? I would've died of that was any of my books, grieving, but I admire all of these people so much. The sheer DEDICATION!!
Really hoping I get this book signed at some point, even if I just about die of anxiety and embarrassment if I ever get the chance.
Also, it took me, honestly, way too long to recognize David Tennant played Crowley in the series/ the bits of the series I've been force-fed by tiktok and Tumblr. Not because I'm blind to faces (partially, maybe) but because it took a whole fucking slideshow with both Crowley and The Doctor from doctor who for me to realise it's the same DAMN ACTOR!! LIEK, I KNEW I NO GOOD AT RECOGNIZING ACTORS BETWEEN ROLES IF I HAVEN'T SEEN MULTIPLE THINGS THEY'VE BEEN ON AND REMEMBERED THEM AS THE CHARACTER THEY'VE PLAYED TO THEN MAYBE UPGRADE ONTO KNOWING THEIR NAMES LIKE CHRIS EVANS AND HUGH JACKMAN BUT COME ON! My brother was laughing at me for that. How do people just, recognize others without the set context they were in at the time?
Anyhow. Back to this BRILLIANT BOOK!!!
Crowley is like, so me coded.
Wasn't feeling Crawly, changed it to Crowley. Only man-shaped, not man.
I too, wasn't feeling my og name and changed it slightly while it's still based on the first one, and am only human-shaped.
There's too much going on in my brain and I forget my vessel is a human being at some points, purely because I don't see the vessel as who I am.
Anywho,
I have in fact just noted 'Transphobe' next to the bit where Crowley is handed the Antichrist and has to sign a damn thing like it's a post package and told "Not [Name you literally chose for yourself, A. J. Crowley], your real name." mostly for myself because I'm funny like that, and bc it's my book copy, not because I don't understand the significance of "true names" or whatever. Sigil names, now those are cool. I'd make me one if I didn't feel like it'd be more intricately connected to me and in turn more vulnerable.
This book. This book I swear-
I've had such a hard time reading printed books after so long reading only fanfics online and this? This is perfect. It reads like the most fun fanfic I've ever read.
Like that one dp x DC fic where Danny wanted a grimace shake and it was spilt on the road or sth even if he said it was mediocre.
The brilliance of Crowley's sinventions (hehe) are so good.
I have doodled 👀 over Hastur saying he tempted a priest. Because I somehow didn't expect it.
Tumblr media
This is comedy to me. I adore it.
The footnotes too. The one about the added verses where God asks Aziraphale where his sword is 😭 and that literally everyone recognized his handwriting as the one who added them in 😭😭😭😭
This is gold, man. Exactly what I needed to get back into physical reading. My eyes could for sure use a break from my phone.
Also, the little tongue my book has as a built in bookmark? Bring that back. Bring books with that feature back. I love this thing so much. Even my school books had it when I was younger, WHERE IS IT NOW?? HAVING MY OWN BOOKMARK IS ALL FINE AND DANDY BUT THIS IS ELEGANT, AND PRETTY, AND PRACTICAL, COME ON!
End rant uwu <3 I must sleep
