I cut my own hair for the first time tonight. Before, I'd been adventurous enough to let friends cut it in the past (with a variety of "success" in outcome), but lacked the courage to try myself.

I'm glad I tried now. I'm happy with the results, and I think it's practical for how I deal with my hair (low ass effort).

I will be thrilled with not having it fall in my FACE every time I muck.

#my art #minecraft #minecraft fanart #minecraft ancient cities #they named it the warden because they were its prisoners i will die on this hill #see fellas when i said i was brainrotting about ancient cities i meant like advanced stages of decay #Bad Syndrome: instead of a brain there is sculk #i'm still pondering additional designs for like guards/soldiers and redstone specialists etc #also yeah i was like ok time to design generic ancient city residents for outfit concepts #and bc i'm me they immediately became Characters and now it's a whole thing #their names are echo and felix and they hate each other <3 #echo was actually a temple kid like felix growing up but he fled to the outer city due to irreconcilable differences w the sculk worshippers #felix keeps trying to convince him to come back bc he was one of their most talented alchemists #they don't quite have echo's talent for magic but they make up for it in charisma and violent tendencies #neither of which have yet proved effective in convincing echo to come work for them #these days he mostly dedicates his potion skills to making life a bit more bearable for outer city residents #he got the nickname 'echo' due to his knack for inducing realistic auditory hallucinations of dead loved ones #...i TOLD you it turned into a whole thing #i also have a pet theory that ancient cities invented skeleton horses bc they needed horses but also leather and meat #but that's mostly bc i think the phrase 'have your horse and eat it too' is rly funny

#australia adventure #i also watched the jurassic world movie for the first time AFTER going to the exhibit #it feels like it Could have been a good movie but the writing is so sexist and i spent too much time yelling EVACUATE THE GUESTS OH MY GOD #chris pratt sucks but they should've made him a horse girl for dinosaurs. that would've fixed it a bit #claire as a character is done so horribly dirty like. she's extremely competent and professional #but the entire narrative is like... portraying her as in the wrong for... being professional? for not being maternal enough?#what kind of moral is 'omggg u just need to let loose' in a movie where a SUPERMURDER DINOSAUR IS OUT OF ITS ENCLOSURE #SHE SHOULD'VE STUCK TO PROTOCOL AND EVACUATED THE PARK IMMEDIATELY!!!!!! went to the state fair yesterday and tried so so much good food !!! my favorite things were the pickle lemonade (literally my favorite drink ever since i first tried it a couple weeks ago) and the fried pickles and the roasted corn. feeling like a true midwesterner after that :-)

#although i will say the pickle lemonade i tried by the lake by our house was a lot better #it was punchier #the ones at the fair were watered down a bit i think just from the ice melting in the heat #but it’s just SO refreshing #genuinely something my dr would prescribe for one of my health conditions is a shot of pickle juice #so it was so rejuvenating LOL #it was rly fun !! my home state doesn’t have a state fair like THAT #but it took me back to my 4H days :#when i competed agility w my childhood dog as a kid and camped out to do some horse riding events and archery #and pigs and chickens and such #rly nostalgic haha #i only did pigs one year bc it was too sad #but i was a chicken girl through and through #4H is what started me down the dog trainer career path and sparked that interest as a hobby #i didn’t pursue it seriously until a long time later and have since taken a hiatus bc of burnout but #it did remind me why i fell so head over heels in love w it #something abt being so in tune w another creature like that is just #so special #we didn’t get to watch the stunt dogs tho we missed the show :((#i kinda want to go back again to see them perform #kinda feeling like it might reignite something in me and maybe i’ll start making steps to be a trainer again #i’ve been missing it #personal

Oh shit it’s finally done

This is fanart for the incredible, amazing, heart-warming-and-wrenching (it has range) Coattails by @pain-in-the-butler which you can read here. It’s one of the best fanfics I’ve read ever, every chapter is an absolute delight, all the characters are so in-character and also so well and interestingly utilised, and if you haven’t read it you absolutely should. It will recover the years of your life that the season 2 rewatch everyone was doing at one point took off you.

So, I am a horse girl, I love horses, and I actually don’t mind drawing them, so obviously I had to do fanart of Ciel with the Irish and Avalon in chapter 23. The horses are truly one of the highlights of this fic: Ciel’s interactions with them are so sweet, and Sebastian’s are usually quite amusing.

Also this did take me literally forever because I took up cross-stitch and then life kept happening and also I struggled with horse shading for some reason
