My Rayman x Rabbid Peach Playlist 💖🧡
+ Notes from Animatics I’ll probably never make! (Sorry.. I don’t know how at the moment lmao). Maybe someday!! 😆
This silly playlist has been so fun to make! I hope you guys enjoy these. Feel free to leave any more songs in the comments, reblogs, or asks! I’d love to hear them!!!
“Give Her Love”, by Frank Sinatra
Rayman falling for Rabbid Peach when they’re friends. Mostly I picture this song when I imagine Rayman looking at her with this loving, goofy grin as she’s laughing. I totally need to draw that look sometime.
“so american”, by Olivia Rodrigo
Rabbid Peach being super in love with Rayman, just absolutely adorable stuff. Very cute song!
“Nonsense”, by Sabrina Carpenter
Rabbid Peach pining for Rayman. Nothing else to really say besides her being giddy with joy when she thinks about him.
“Girl Crush”, by Little Big Town
Rayman craving for Rabbid Peach’s company, trying to digest his feelings for her. He wants her so badly, to be near her, to be hers. He’s unsure why, yet indulges in romantic daydreams about her and him together. Plus hints of jealousy for Rabbid Mario, wondering if he’ll confess to Rabbid Peach now that Rayman’s gone. At the end, he realizes his feelings are romantic for her. The animation ends upon this realization, he meets Rabbid Peach again after his visit to the Glade, now knowing that he wants to act on his feelings. Phantom Roommates AU context. This one’s a favorite of mine. I think about it a lot.
“Paper Bag”, by Fiona Apple
Rayman yearning for Rabbid Peach while staying at the Glade… unsure if she feels the same and going into a spiral about it. Phantom Roommates AU context.
“I Think That He Likes Me”, by Kooman & Dimond, Kerry Butler
I’ve described this one before! Here’s the link to the post. :D
“Espresso”, by Sabrina Carpenter
Rabbid Peach being flirty with and teasing Rayman, knowing he likes her back. Just her feeling confident in her romantic feelings for him and expressing them openly. He’d just be flustered the whole time. Phantom Roommates AU context.
🚨⚠️ Content Warnings for Upcoming Descriptions: Suggestive Text/Songs + Drug Use Mention Ahead! You have been warned. Be careful. ⚠️ 🚨
“Red Wine Supernova”, by Chappell Roan
Just Rabbid Peach having fun trying to seduce Rayman. Yep! That’s it. It works lmao.
“Sexbomb”, by Tom Jones, Mousse T.
I HAD to pick this one for obvious reasons. Just picturing Rayman trying to serenade Rabbid Peach. Maybe subtly through Karaoke? ;)
“Naughty Girl”, by Beyoncé
Same thing, but for Rabbid Peach. Maybe she’s preforming her Just Dance routine for him? Or maybe she’s preforming it, but makes direct eye contact with him in the crowd! He’s just sitting there, blushing red hot, wondering if she’s implying something with him….the potential… 😳
“Anytime You Smile”, by JT Music, Andrea Storm Kaden
Captain Laserhawk themed animatic!! Basically Rayman dreaming of his reality of the Phantom Show where he becomes friends and lover to Rabbid Peach on a drug trip. Throughout the song, he slowly becomes aware that this reality isn’t real, but desperately tries to hang onto this escape, continuing to indulge in his drug habits. This idea arose from thinking about Rayman dreaming of a reality where he made friends with a friendlier version of the Rabbids to cope with the Rabbid Kaiju destroying his home. It makes me kinda sad thinking about it. Once I can make animations, this is one I would definitely love to do.
And that’s it!! I’ll probably update this later. Maybe it’ll be a master post? Idk. I’ll put it on my pin eventually! I hope you guys enjoyed! 🧡💖

I primarily use the “For You” Tumblr page a lot to discover artists, (I am on Mobile and it’s very easy to switch between the Dashboard and For You pages here) the more posts of a specific artist I like, the more likely it is for that artist to show up on my For You page multiple times until I follow them, as well as other people who post for certain fandoms, I actually found you through the For You page (You were talking about the Liking vs Reblog situation)
The posts I tend to see on the For You page usually have more than a hundred notes, and I tend to enjoy going through the For You page more than my Dashboard.
Why?
Well, I have a bad habit of everything and everyone, this is my fourth tumblr blog, on every Tumblr I have had before this, I followed over 3,000 people, most of whom would get lost in my Dash. Most of these people are artists and writers, on YouTube I have been subscribed to so many people that I think I hit the subscription limit on an account I mainly used to follow animators and YouTube would unsubscribe me by oldest subscription.
Why am I saying all of this?
Well, put this into perspective, I am a blog with less than 10 followers, I am following a lot of artists and if I were to reblog every piece of art that came into my eyesight, I’d honestly be off Tumblr within 10 minutes due to how strict I am with tagging stuff, and for some reason tagging things drains me, I get frustrated every time a tag doesn’t show up in the auto options as I’m typing it, and it doesn’t help that I’m constantly exhausted due to various factors, including depression.
I like things so people know I’ve seen it and enjoyed it. Do I reblog art? Yes, I do, but that’s like, a very small percentage of what I see on my dash weekly. And usually when I reblog stuff in bulk, its me documenting something that is going on, a fandom or tumblr’s reaction to something, or a cool concept I may like to play around with in the future or something that I want to comment on (Or an animatic or animation, those are high on my reblog priority list), other I just reblog because I feel I’m able to in that moment.
I understand that a lot of people on tumblr say “Just reblog it! You need to add tags!!” I can’t just not add tags, I view the contents of my blog as a history thing, if I don’t tag things and I want to look back on something, I won’t be able to find it. At all. Especially not if I want to show someone something.
The worst part to me is when people threaten to block people like me because “I like too much but don’t engage enough”, bro, I physically don’t have enough spoons to reblog every single thing you do, you are punishing me for saying I like your art, there is a possibility for me to reblog your art sometimes, but don’t get mad at me for not reblogging your thing when my depression and exhaustion is telling me that reblogging and tagging everything is just, too much work. I want to relax for a bit, and liking thing is how I say “Great job!”
I do try to reblog smaller artists, but me reblogging isn’t gonna get your post anywhere buddy. If I had more than 15 followers I’d make an bigger effort to reblog art with less notes all the time because there is a higher chance that one of them will be on and see it, but as it stands I believe most of my followers are bots, I barely have the energy to write, and in my opinion getting Likes shows that your post is reaching people and you should be proud of that.
Social media has made a post reaching 5 or 50 people seem like a failure, but if you put that into perspective that’s enough people to fill a room, and how many people do you know who would willingly go to the same place to see the work of a random stranger completely willingly and tell someone they liked it?
Stop comparing posts with hundreds or thousands of notes or views to your own numbers, the fact people saw it and cared enough to leave a sign that they like it is impressive, there have been times when I posted something, hoping it’d gain traction, only for no one to even bother looking twice, I have had so many posts and art pieces that never got a single note in the last 10 years I’ve been on tumblr, less than 50 posts broke 10 notes, I’ve only had 3 posts break 100 notes, and only 1 post go past 500 notes. This is across multiple blogs.
Yes, it can be disappointing when things aren’t reblogged, but it’s a sign people see you, and that’s a good thing, because most people don’t even get that. Engagement of any kind is a sign you’ve done something right, especially when it comes to art. Sure, only getting likes can be a frustrating thing, but don’t let it ruin your day, it’s still valuable, people are looking at you, and if they had decided to not leave those likes, you wouldn’t know they saw you in the first place, because there would no sign anyone even knows you’re there.
hey anon i just wanted to thank you for reaching out and i appreciate your perspective. There's a lot of nuance to the discussion you brought up so i just was replying to your ask to let you know that i read it and appreciate you sending this to me.
I hope youre having a good day!

tommy's character gets far too much shit.
hi tumblr. i'm gonna need a few bitches to spread this post everywhere, essentially because i want someone, or just tommy really, to see it. so if you really want, you can screenshot it and post it on twitter, reddit, link it everywhere - go absolutely buck wild. i know he reads the VODS comments a lot, but they're chock full of people just insulting him, his character, his writing and everything about his story in the dream smp simply because they don't understand it and because they refuse to acknowledge his character's perspective (mainly because they only care about the pig). reading that many critical comments on something you've created can only make you feel worse about it eventually, and in light of all the awful techno apologist takes on his character, i wanted to basically just word vomit about how wonderfully crafted c!tommy is, as well as compile some other tumblr posts about his character.
there is a massive fuckin community of people who enjoy the character of tommy, because the character is incredible. i myself have made post after post after post commenting on and analysing tommy's character because i find that there's so much to pick apart. but that enthusiasm for his character only seems to be found on tumblr. reddit and twitter seem to hate his character, the VODS seem to be filled with comments from people who only care about techno's perspective (and treat techno as a reliable narrator, which, is the furthest thing from the truth - that guy lies through his teeth all the time), and the smp wiki is a hellscape of godawful takes and mistruths, not even on just tommy's character.
c!tommy is brilliantly acted and brilliantly written, and almost everything he does is either justifiable or has been rectified or admitted as a mistake. you can clearly make connections as to where he got his conclusions from. you feel what his character experiences, as a member of the audience, vividly.
if you look in the more objective sense, c!tommy, and this is especially in the context of him being the youngest character, is a scapegoat. people claim he's awful and destructive when in reality he's a lot less destructive than most characters on the server. a moment that comes to mind is where he diverts schlatt and quackity's attention from pogtopia by breaking part of the flag in manberg, and then replacing it so as to buy tubbo some time - he literally monologues after it about how he doesn't want to destroy but instead rebuild, and how he feels as if nobody else seems to understand that.
his arc in season two was incredible. it was very character driven, and it gave a spotlight to his motivations. at the start we see him in new l'manberg, and he's enjoying his time there, he's skeptical of his friend's presidency, but his main goal is to get back the discs so that he can stop dream and eliminate that threat. he made one screw up that didn't even matter to george, and he paid for it tenfold, even after dream had spent a while with puffy griefing the server and framing it on tommy - what tommy and ranboo did was convinient. then, in exile, we see c!tommy straight up get abused. he's gaslit and conditioned into being c!dream's friend, and in his brain he teaches himself that those acts of abuse are moments of bonding, and it eventually brings him to the point of wanting to end his own life - he's been torn away from his friends and his support system, and nobody will visit him consistently anymore because they only showed him pity, and all he had left was dream, who had hurt him.
but he doesn't die there, because while he didn't understand the full gravity of it back then like he does now, he recognises that dying isn't an escape, and he can beat dream, even if he doesn't know how. so this is where he goes to techno's place, and here's where the fandom starts to misinterpret the situation wildly.
it's the problem similar to when your parents tell you that they're owed something back because you put a roof over their head, despite that being Not How It Works. techno took tommy in and severely mistreated him emotionally. sure, and i understand this, c!techno is a bad communicator who isn't really that empathetic to anyone who isn't phil or wilbur, but that doesn't excuse the blatant lying to c!tommy's face, the guilt tripping, the friendship buying and the degrading. the day before the festival, tommy finally does something violent in his interrogation of fundy, and only then does techno tell him,,,,
that tommy's not equal to him, that techno doesn't respect him all that much, and that they're not friends.
from techno's perspective, and at the time, this was viewed as a positive development in their relationship. oh, he's starting to warm up to tommy! this friendship could really blossom!
no. from a more objective standpoint, what techno has just said to tommy is : 'i respect you only a little bit more now, because while you're starting to act more like me, you're still annoying and a burden.'
and i haven't even touched on the whole 'erasing the words 'Destroy L'manberg' from techno's to-do list' thing, because that instantly refutes the point of 'techno was upfront with his intentions the whole time' - because he wasn't! he may have said it the first time, but you also know what else he did? he repeatedly told tommy that they'd 'air the details out later' whenever the discs were brought up, and from a tommy viewer's perspective at the time, it was framed as if techno was no longer going to do that.
and i also haven't dared touch the 'i would have fought them all for you', because that's major guilt tripping if ever i've seen it.
so, the day of the festival comes, and here's where c!techno and his apologists completely misread c!tommy's thought process, and why he makes the decision he does.
tommy instantly regrets valuing the discs over tubbo, and it's framed as the culmination of tommy having become all the people he said he would never want to be like. and what does he immediately do? he tells tubbo to give up the disc, and he sides with tubbo. he puts his value in his friends, and, by proxy, l'manberg. and when he betrays techno, he tells him 'i'm sorry'.
from a more objective standpoint, tommy's time with techno is him valuing the discs over almost anything else. so, in leaving techno to be with tubbo again, he is valuing people above the discs. so when, on doomsday, techno says his 'discs aren't people' line, what he doesn't realise is that he himself fueled tommy's valuing of discs above people when attempting to fuel tommy's vengeance against tubbo and l'manberg. techno doesn't realise that he was an unhealthy presence for tommy, and an even worse influence.
what techno also doesn't seem to understand is that tommy never hated tubbo or l'manberg - tommy recognises, now at least, that his exile wasn't a product of tubbo, but a product of dream's manipulation, likely in part because at the time, especially with dream lying about tommy blowing up the community house, tommy was the only one who could see it because he had experienced it firsthand. so when techno sides with dream, it's like kicking tommy in the teeth.
and i want to mention that betraying someone doesn't necessarily make the person who was betrayed good, or in the right, or even justified, because tommy was entirely justified to leave techno. you know who else was betrayed? schlatt. but i don't see many schlatt apologists around angry at quackity for joining the rebellion.
tommy stole the axe of peace? good. it was a moment of tommy defining his self-worth, instead of having it defined by others. gone is the age of c!techno belittling him and deciding how much c!tommy should be respected. NEXT!
here's a moment i wanted to talk about that will forever be funny to me.
'i am a person.'
techno's very famous line from doomsday. techno says to tommy that discs aren't people, and that tommy should value people, despite not understanding that by leaving techno, he did just that. and what does tommy say in return, which has been omitted from every c!tommy-critical analysis, and every animatic?
'yes you are, but so are we.'
an acknowledgement of techno's hurt, to which tommy has already apologised for. a statement that says 'your hurt does not excuse, nor justify, the hurt you have inflicted onto us.' an acknowledgement that tommy has already learnt the lesson techno seems to be trying to 'teach' him. but you can't teach him anything by destroying.
c!tommy has had almost everything he has ever owned or built either taken from him or destroyed. ranboo even points out that the only two things of tommy's left standing are his house and his hotel, and if i'm honest, his house is dissheveled. it's a labyrinth of terror due only to how many times it's been torn apart. l'manberg being blown up didn't teach anyone anything about anarchy, or about valuing people over possessions. logstedshire being blown up didn't teach tommy to be obedient.
i could honestly ramble for ages about how nuanced tommy's character is and how much depth and complexity there is to his character's process and his relationship with others, but more than that, c!tommy is forgiving. he invites almost everyone who hates him to the grand opening of his hotel - if that isn't an indicator that he just wants friends, and not to be treated like the embodiment of evil, then i don't know what is. he holds grudges, but he doesn't really actively hate anyone, other than c!dream. but, we'll let him. c!dream deserves nothing but to be pummeled into the floor.
tommy doesn't spoonfeed his character nuance, and he doesn't really spell it out for his audience. he'll mention things like trauma and triggers in passing, but a lot of analysis on his motivations has to be picked up from what is said in passing or from what can be seen in between the lines.
i'd be here for hours if i were to talk about everything i love about c!tommy, because honestly he's one of my favourite characters, and there are so many angles you can look at his character from in terms of his age, his relationships with others, his motivations, his personality, his character arcs etc etc. so instead of doing that, i'm going to compile some much more specific analysis posts below to skim through because they highlight so many good aspects of his character.
^^ A thread about the 'yes you are, but so are we' line.
^^ About how shit the VODS comments are.
^^ A comment on how c!Tommy is actually pretty peaceful, and is actually less destructive than most characters on the server.
^^ Possibly the best c!Tommy analysis thread I've ever seen in relation to his trauma, which gives multiple perspectives.
^^ About how c!Tommy is treated as a scapegoat, and how, from an objective standpoint, he is no more violent than any other character, it's just that the little violence that is committed is blown far out of proportion.
^^ Tumblr user flypaw being a bad bitch, as per usual.
^^ c!Tommy being incredibly intelligent, and talking about wanting to rebuild and not destroy. A very underrated monologue of his.
^^ Something short about c!Tommy and c!Wilbur's relationship in Pogtopia.
^^ Less about c!Tommy, more a meta on L'Manberg. Really interesting to think about.
^^ A take on Doomsday.
I'll add some more posts in a reblog in the notes, but if anyone's post(s) is on this and they want me to take it off, let me know and I'll do that for you! Feel free to add your own banger c!Tommy takes or ones that you've found.

i was sincerely hoping i would finally be able to put to rest my way of moonlighting as the mildly-threatening passerine-scarred anon. after my last villain monologue, i desired to turn a new leaf. i intended to leave behind my resentment in search for something healing - something fulfilling. i was going to disappear, peacefully. and for good. i was ready for my retirement arc. but no. never am i allowed tranquility, am i? and neither will you be. not after your influence being the reason i read it.
after the initial uproar in popularity of passerine, i thought: oh. this is the worst it can get. i figured, it’s okay, everyone will sob over this 70k-word masterpiece, and then it’ll die down. i won’t have to keep on seeing fan content of it every morning when i open twitter, and have it feel like a knife was plunged into my heart each and every time. (that wording was very intentional.) i won’t have to be reminded of my heartbreak every moment of every day.
i had no intention of returning, for i thought....... this chapter of my life was closing. i’m leaving behind my hurt and anger. the pain from the most emotional fic i’ve ever read was fading, at last. of course the road to recovery is never linear - it has its ups-and-downs, its bumps in the pavement.
but..................
the news that sad-ist is working on a passerine animatic? .......... never did i anticipate this. my car has driven straight off the road to recovery and off the edge of a cliff. it is up in flames. i am back at square one. i am techno in retirement, and you and kyle and sad-ist are the butcher army. the minute i see even a frame from her animatic? to dust i return. i am simply going to cry so hard i die. and my death will be on your hands, zanna my beloathed. so i am going to become worse, on purpose.
anon ily and i need you to know i absolutely keeled over laughing at being put in a group with kyle and sad-ist this is simply priceless.
do you not think i’m going to be just as obliterated by this animatic as you are? did you forget i suffered just as much as you when reading passerine, if not more because of all the ways kyle delights in tormenting her friends and by extension, me? you do not suffer alone, o passerine anon. we’re all going down in this hell together.
“my death will be on your hands” i mean i’ve probably done worse, according to the comments on my fics. you’ll be fondly remembered, if nothing else. please continue to be worse on purpose, we all enjoy the spectacle you put on.

Your Phenomenal Dramaturgy DSMP Animatic
Was gonna post a YouTube comment, but then I realized I didn’t want to get eviscerated by the dsmp fandom for having a different opinion, so submitting my interpretation of the lyrics/animatic in regards to c!Dream here instead :P
“But I don’t know a thing, love or losing, see?” I believe references how before Wilbur and L'manburg these kinds of conflicts/wars were never a thing on the server and Dream had no idea how he should deal with it. “So I threw to the side any human in me.” Implies Dream believed he had to make harsh choices to end the conflict, he couldn’t be soft, “No mercy” right? “If I live a lie of shallow words and empty replies, then what am I?” implying Dream keeps his word, but the people of L'Manburg don’t. It’s framed as a response from Dream to Wilbur during the declaration of independence, and makes sense if you consider the fact that Wilbur was scamming everyone out of their own potions supplies and made L'Manburg in part as an excuse to get away with it when the other members of the server got mad (Dream was uninvolved at this point, but he likely heard about it from Sapnap, who was one of the people that had confronted Wilbur and Tommy about their theft). “Then it stuck in my head, gotta run away” Dream and Sapnap getting carried away with burning down the forest surrounding L'manburg. “Playing out like a scene, posing every lead Near the end of the show, waiting in the wing, see?” Not sure about the first line, aside from referencing how everything’s a play and Dream’s the lead actor, but the second line refers to Eret’s role as the hidden traitor “Waiting in the wings”. “Run to front stage, you’re all actors anyway, no one to watch, You’re all part of the play” Dream having to make tough decisions as the de facto leader of the Greater Dream SMP faction during war. He’s planning out strategies with George and Sapnap, but the map turns into a chess game and he hates how he has to consider using them like pawns in the game to win this war. “There’s no one inside me There’s no one that’s hiding Always been me, empty, a body but nobody here to see” Montage of Dream prepping for the battle, there’s a scene in which he’s stepping into an argument between George and Sapnap. He’s steeling himself for the battle ahead. From a meta standpoint, these are all the scenes we as viewers never got to see, but they still happened, and it was still Dream who had done all this for his faction. “And knowing that those eyes are watching…” From the animatic implies that Dream seems to think things aren’t quite over yet, so he’s keeping an eye on things. “Til before we could see, we were monsters in skin ” Dream and his relationship with being called a monster/tyrant/villain continuously by the other members of the server, in particular those that are a part of L'Manburg. Could also be how he hadn’t noticed himself slipping into that role until far too late. “But even if I had tried to move on, why can’t I leave my past?” Same as above, but this time with the bonus of Pogtopia Wilbur manipulating him and convincing him he’ll be nothing more than a tyrant, a villain despite his clear attempts to amend that opinion of him and change by siding with Tommy (and Wilbur), who he thought were the “good guys”. ““Considering it’s you, better give up soon” “Cuz no matter what you do, you will always lose”” Dream talking in reference to Tommy and Wilbur (?). “And then I was alone way before I knew Blocking every little thought that I couldn’t sit through” George leaving the conflict (and Dream) alone to build his own thing. Dream realizing he’s alone/his friends don’t seem to care about him as much as he does them, and trying not to think about it. “All they want now is safety from what’s around Waiting for help but never learning how” Dream constantly covering for George and Sapnap during conflicts they got themselves into without asking for anything in return, and George and Sapnap never learning how to stop causing conflicts/resolve them by themselves. (taking advantage of Dream’s help) “I don’t wanna think now” Doesn’t want to remember the good times he’s had with everyone/his friends. Him swiping away the pieces like he wants to stop this stupid game of chess. “I’ll play dumb anyhow” Reference to Dream losing his godly powers because of the exorcism and being split into 2 (as explained by creator of the animatic) and pretending everything was fine afterwards. “Always been me, empty, a body but nobody here to see” Realization he’s lost his powers and can’t rely on XD to help resolve the Manberg/Pogtopia conflict. Here his mask goes from covering the top of half of his face to covering his entire face, a “loss of humanity”/“empty” (from a circle to being fully molded onto his face covering), and is also when the strings motif starts. Trading chessboards for puppet strings. Very obviously, you can see him slipping and his mental state deteriorating. “So standing at the front line and maybe this time I’ll be there with a flag high” Reference to the Manburg shield hinting at his allegiance and how he’s leading the Manburg “army” during the battle. “Outmatched but easygoing "Never gonna need a script with me”“ Dream surrendering and playing along with their expectations (Pogtopia winning against Manberg). "Oh you too yes yes so take a deep breath "Swear that you’ll see me again” One chance is all I have now And so I better make it count Climatic ending, come see The final act, I’m shaken to my knees" Speaking to Tommy about meeting him for the final confrontation, Tommy realizing this is his chance to take down Dream for good, “climatic ending” the finale Dream’s planned out for them. Dream is determined to see things through to the bitter end. “Yet crying and lonely” But what has he lost to get to this point? (also the juxtaposition of Doomsday Dream with his armor and cloak staring at the sunset atop his obsidian grid, framed by destruction being swapped out for an image of the old Dream, still with strings tied to his hands, but staring up at the softer night sky being framed by trees, is just, so good) “The world that I locked out is nowhere to find The people who mocked me are gone from my sight Emotions and feelings are useless to keep The tears that had fallen were not mine to weep” Hardening his heart against George/the rest of his friends (who later in turn abandoned him/left him), beating down those who had wronged him in the past, letting go of Spirit and the attachment associated with them so they’ll never be used against him again (representing him cutting off the rest of his attachments to do the same thing) despite it being very obviously painful and hurting to do so. (choosing to let go, but finding that doing so hurts anyways. Crying for something you think you shouldn’t cry for.) “The kindness and warmth, I can’t feel them at all The hands that are offered, I’m scared that I’ll fall The hole dug inside me can’t hold any love Instead, you can see me break down from above” Unable or unwilling to form healthy emotional attachments/connections with other people. He’s scared that if he does he’ll just be hurt again, and so he pushes them away, even those who’d offer him their help. He’s lost so much that he’s grown emotionally repressed (his past as Cornelius and how he lost his entire family in a week) and has trouble feeling things like “love”, and starts collapsing under the lose. (his mental health spiraling hard) “Hey, remember when you saw that they were nearing their end? And you looked like you were laughing at the pain they were in But what did you see? Oh really what could it be Well, take a breath ‘cuz you’ll need it, so c’mon saying” Something more happening with Dream behind the front of “big bad villain” that he puts on for the rest of the server, what was he really feeling? What was he really planning? We don’t know. “We’re pulling at the boundary, unseen A curtain dyed in black soon came to be And knowing that those eyes are watching…” The end of a season/the “show”, Dream’s put in prison and the curtains appear to be closing, but there’s still some loose ends that haven’t been tied with the other characters, and Dream’s presence can still be felt all around the server despite him being locked up in a literal torture box with no real power (power that could get him out of said torture box). (also, just loved how you incorporated the chorus! I’ve known about Dramaturgy for a long time but hadn’t realized how well the lyrics just fit with the DSMP plotline XD)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow, thanks for such a detailed response to my animatic :D I’m really glad you enjoyed it enough to type so much out!
I really like your interpretation, you basically got most of the things I was going for. While I yearn to type out something longer, I don’t really want to tell people how to interpret something lol
Thanks again <3

Cool thing: I'm (kind of) half way through my new animatic. I've got all the drawings down, just need to colour them, the music is poggers and i think it fits well. It's like a tommy pov taking place from december through may to Wilbur's revival. I excluded some things like the egg cus it is kind of a side thing, tommy wasn't that relevant to it beside being immune and doing some lighthearted streams so yeah, maybe I'll do something with that when im antsy and want a change of pace (soon probably). I included things like end of exile, his stay at techno's, doomsday, the disc finale, prison arc and the revivals. Other stuff as well. It kind of works as a recap/summary of all my other animatics (with updated designs and a better timeline) and it ties together the story better, cus even in those i had to leave out some events. It'll be around 2 minutes and a half.
Soon I may want to make an animatic just for the time between the end of the disc saga and now, just to have another recap and try new stuff. I haven't animated anything yet relating to the last like four months of lore, even if it's been slower there's still a lot.
I'm really enjoying animating the dream smp and the lore, unfortunately I'll probably slow down a little cus I'm starting school in a couple of days. But at least once or twice a month I'll get something out. And of course I'll be making regular pieces of art not just animatics. Much love, thank you all btw, I'm near 700 subscribers on youtube 💗✨
(Throwing this out there also: I'm considering making a special animatic for when i hit 1k on youtube, high probability of something similar to the style of sad-ist and toKtopus's animatics, cus they're REALLY cool and putting actual lines from ccs streams in the animatics makes it really badass)
Anyways, here's my YouTube channel for anyone who would like to subscribe, watch my videos and maybe leave a like and a comment 💖

@cinn-a-mom here’s my part of the trade!! I hope you enjoy it!! (And thank you again for that beautiful Letter to the Refuge animatic!)
Broken Pieces
“Hairstripe! Hurry up, you slow poke!”
Hugo runs through Old Corona village, Varian trailing behind him carrying as much glassware as he possible can.
He tediously walks, one step at a time, trying his hardest not to drop any.
“Well...may-maybe you could give me a hand instead of, you know, yelling at me!” The glassware pile says from behind Hugo.
Oh wait, that’s Varian.
The beakers and vials begin to teeter over in the alchemist’s hands and almost hit the ground before Hugo swoops in and grabs half of the pile.
“Oh. There you are Hairstripe! You’re so short I couldn’t even see you behind all this stuff!” Hugo jokes with a smug smile.
Varian rolls his eyes, “Shut up, heh.”
He looks at the situation they had gotten themselves into with a small frown.
“Heh. Note to self...next-next time we definitely have to bring dad’s wheelbarrow when we buy glassware, heh.”
He almost drops a vial but steadies himself and continues walking.
“Yeah, no kidding. Though we wouldn’t need so much if someone didn’t blow everything up every two minutes,” Hugo remarks snidely.
“Hey! The last time was with your compound!” Varian fires back.
Hugo opens his mouth briefly, but remembers Varian is indeed correct.
“Touché...” he grumbles.
The two continue walking until they finally pass the marketplace. It’s only a couple more blocks to their house. They can make it without breaking any beakers, right?
Suddenly, a loud crash resulting from a broken flask causes Varian to whip his head around to face Hugo.
“Heh, now who’s-“
The alchemist immediately cuts himself off when he sees the boys’ biggest nemeses walking towards them: Hunter and Curtis.
Hunter is taller than Varian, but a lot shorter than Hugo. His brunette bangs swoop in front of his eyes on the left side of his face, covering one of his hazel eyes. Hunter’s father is a close friend of Quirin, and Varian has known the boy since they were kids. Only recently did he team up with Curtis when Varian exploded the town yet again. Curtis, a fiery red-head with a temper to match acts as the brains of the team while Hunter acts as the brawn. The two have been tormenting the brothers for about a month now, practically every time they leave the house.
“Right on cue...” Hugo whispers as he kicks away the glass.
Hunter is the cause of broken flask, and he stands there blocking the Hugo’s path along with his partner in crime.
“If it isn’t the Old Corona Menace and his assistant...” Curtis mocks, moving to block Varian’s path directly.
Hugo isn’t one for conflict, but he doesn’t like anyone insulting Varian either. And he especially hates that nickname that the village generously bestowed on his brother. He’d gladly take the fall for that one. He shakily delivers a snide comment.
“Oh, come-come on, fellas! You really need to step up your game on the insulting nicknames! I mean, Hairstripe may not look like much at first glance but he’s no assistant-“
Hunter laughs cynically and steps closer to Hugo. The brunette boy is significantly shorter than the blond, but he still intimidates Hugo enough to make him back up.
“You’re the assistant.”
Hugo stiffens slightly and gulps as Hunter gives him a shove, shaking him up and causing another test tube to crash to the ground.
Varian narrows his eyes at Hunter and grits his teeth. He’s heard the “Old Corona Menace” nickname multiple times before. He deserves it, but Hugo? Hugo should be allowed to have a better reputation.
“Sorry, what-what did you say to him?” Varian asks slowly.
Hunter starts to walk away from Hugo but Curtis stops him, enclosing in further on Varian.
“You heard him. That weakling orphan you call a ‘brother’ is just adding to our problem.”
“Yeah and that’s you Vari-jerk!” Hunter speaks up.
Hugo rolls his eyes and scoffs.
“Oh come on, that’s not even clever,” he voices under his breath.
“Shut it, Huge-o!” Hunter yells, trying to regain his ego.
Hugo resists the urge to roll his eyes again in fear of being beat up. Hunter may be shorter than him, but he and Curtis together can do a lot of damage. Especially considering the heaps of fragile and dangerous glassware that the alchemists were carrying.
“Listen, guys, we have a lot on our hands right now, literally,” Hugo puns. “So, maybe we can move our weekly bullying session over a day?”
He starts sweating nervously and backs up more when Hunter smirks at him, drawing even closer than before.
“Uh, or-or a month?”
A cynical laugh on Varian’s side causes Hugo to shift his focus away from Hunter.
“No this is a great time,” Curtis replies mockingly as he snatches up one of the flasks on top of Varian’s pile.
“Heh, uh, please don’t touch that...” Varian asks, trying to bottle up and distract from the anger he feels.
Curtis looks it over and tosses it back in forth in his hands.
“What is this anyway? Some kind of jar for your magical spells?”
Varian corrects him, just like he does everyone else. Even if this time it’s a little more strained.
“Heh..technically it’s not magic, it’s alchemy, and-and that’s actually a-“
Curtis drops the flask on the ground before Varian can finish, and it shatters into a million pieces.
“Ugh you’re such a nerd. Both of you. Let me let you in on something: no one cares about your sorcery-“
“Alchemy.” Hugo speaks up under his breath, but unfortunately Hunter hears him. He rolls up his sleeve, jumps up, and punches Hugo straight in the face.
The blow is so unexpected and so forceful that it causes him to stagger back. He drops all the glassware and it shatters around his feet. Hugo holds his injured cheek which most likely contains a bruise.
“Just another one for the collection...” he whispers, trying to stay strong.
“Maybe that’ll teach you to keep your mouth shut, Huge-o. You should have just stayed an orphan. You’re more of a nothing now than you were before.”
Hugo tries to keep in his tears, but Curtis’s words cut deep. He simply looks up at the boy with hurt and angry eyes.
“Awe. You gonna cry?” Hunter taunts, glancing kicking some of the glass in Hugo’s direction.
Varian stays silent through this whole exchange...but livid. His eye begins to twitch as his grip on the glassware tightens, causing some of the beakers he’s holding start to crack from the pressure.
“Whatever you call it, we’re tired of you morons blowing up our town! And if we get all your magic stuff out of the way...” Hunter moves over to Varian and grabs two test tubes from his pile, smashing them both to the ground.
Curtis crosses over to Hugo who’s still holding his injured cheek. The red-head threateningly stalks closer and hits the inside of his hand with his fist.
Varian can’t hold it in anymore and he throws down all of the glassware he’s holding. The sound of the glass shattering causes both bullies to stare straight at him.
“Don’t you dare touch my brother again,” he warns between gritted teeth.
Curtis and Hunter glance at each other nervously for a moment. After all, this is the kid who blew up their entire village only a month prior. Both of their houses were damaged in the explosion. There’s no telling what the “dangerous wizard” could do to them.
“Hairstripe, don’t-“
The desperation in Hugo’s voice seems to push Curtis on, even though he’s still wary of Varian.
“Wha-what are you gonna do? Explode us?” Curtis asks with a nervous laugh.
His comment gives Varian an idea and he readies a smoke bomb from his pocket.
He glances to Hugo behind him and backs up.
“Come on, Vari-jerk! Show us what you got!” Hunter chimes in.
Curtis shoots him a look. As far as they knew, Varian could kill them if they weren’t careful. However, this doesn’t stop the bullies from cornering the alchemy brothers anyway, their fists dangerously close to the alchemists’ faces.
At the last second, Varian gives Hugo a short nod and throws his purple smoke bomb on the ground. Before it hits, the brothers sprint away as fast as they can, leaving their attackers coughing and surrounded in smoke.
The two run all the way back to their house, stopping right outside of the farm to catch their breaths.
“Varian...the glassware-“
The alchemist cuts him off, still angry at the bullies.
“Hugo, I could care less about the glassware. We can buy more...eventually...”
He trails off, knowing it won’t be any time soon. They were in danger every time they left their house. He sighs and continues voicing his grievances.
“But Curtis and Hunter have-have been tormenting us for too long. I couldn’t just stand there and do nothing!”
Hugo rubs his cheek, his fingers hitting an old bruise next to his fresh one. Varian sees him wince in pain, and furrows his own eyebrows.
“We-we’re telling dad what happened.” He states matter-of-factly as he marches towards the house. “He’s the village leader, for Demanitus sake! He-he can do something-“
Hugo catches up with Varian and stands in front of him. The last thing he wants right now is to cause more problems for his family...
“No, Hairstripe. I’ll just say it was another acid burn...if he asks.”
“But Hugo-“
The blond calmly cuts him off again.
“There’s no reason to get them into more trouble. I mean we already destroyed their houses, which they won’t let us live down...”
Varian starts to raise his voice, not understanding why Hugo doesn’t agree with him on this.
“Hugo, that-that was my invention. You had nothing to do with it. But Hunter hit you! Twice in the last week! And the things Curtis said were...were inexcusable! Don’t-don’t you think they deserve some form of punishment?”
Hugo notes Varian’s tone; he sounds actually...angry. And when Varian was angry, the only smart thing to do is to listen. Hugo carefully considers his brother’s words. Even though Quirin adopted him years ago, it still feels weird to have people standing up for him. Almost as if he didn’t deserve it.
“Maybe...” he trails off.
But what would happen after the boys were punished? The bullying wouldn’t stop, that’s for sure. Everyone in the town already hates them. If Curtis and Hunter were taken down, there would surely be others to take their place, most likely targeting Varian. Hugo couldn’t take that chance. He could deal with a couple dumb bullies for his brother’s sake.
Hugo takes a breath and shrugs, standing up straighter to show he’s okay.
“But it’s just a bruise! Plus Hunter’s punches are wimpy anyway. Same with his nicknames,” the blond jokes.
Varian’s intense glare softens and he chuckles slightly.
“Yeah those nicknames are pretty dumb, heh. I mean ‘Huge-o?’ Really?”
Hugo smiles, glad that he successfully changed the subject.
“And ‘Vari-jerk?’ That’s Vari-insulting to many other Vari-interesting words that flow seamlessly with your name.”
Varian rolls his eyes but ends up laughing. He can always count on Hugo to cheer him up. Even if it’s with dumb puns. But that doesn’t erase that matter at hand.
“Are you sure, though? About keeping it a secret again?” The alchemist asks, hoping for a different response.
Hugo’s face falls, Varian isn’t going to let this go so easily, but he can still try to avoid the subject as long as possible.
“Yeah. I’m sure.” Hugo stays serious for a moment before his tone flips back to joking.
“Plus I’m sure you already scared them silly with that smoke bomb stunt.” He elbows Varian in camaraderie and the alchemist returns the gesture.
“Well they literally asked for it! And you can’t say they didn’t deserve it, heh.”
Hugo shrugs in agreement and the two walk a bit further to the door. Varian starts to walk in when Hugo stops him by putting a hand on his shoulder.
“Hairstripe...Varian. I don’t say this enough but...thank you for sticking up for me. It means a lot,” he tells his brother sincerely with a slight smile between the pain of his bruise.
Varian is slightly surprised at this out of the blue gratitude from Hugo, but smiles back and shrugs nonchalantly.
“Of course, Hugo. That’s what brothers are for, you know? We stick together,” he tells him, bumping him on the arm.
Hugo rolls his eyes but still maintains his smile. This is getting a bit too sappy for him, even though he secretly enjoys the affection. He tries to change the subject again.
“Ha, yeah. So much so that I’m apparently your ‘assistant.’”
He smirks, elbowing Varian again.
“I thought that was Cassie’s job!”
Varian immediately turns red and elbows Hugo.
“GAH! H-hey-shut up!” He retorts.
Their little episode at the expo is not one to forget. And Hugo will never let him live down the “Cassandrium” incident. Luckily, they both know he’s joking. Hugo’s comments aren’t painful or cutting like Curtis’s, just mildly annoying. But Varian wouldn’t change it for the world.
The two stand in an awkward silence for a while in front of the door, when Varian decides to go for it. He suddenly wraps Hugo in a hug, causing the taller boy to tense.
After the initial shock, Hugo’s wary at first, but he hugs him back. Like it or not, he really needs this.
“I-I just wanted to say, even though you’re adopted, I still love you as my real brother, Hugo,” Varian tells him genuinely. “Nothing is ever going to change that.”
Hugo blushes nervously, but the corners of his mouth start to turn up in a smile.
“I...uh...”
He sighs, and finally gives in to the “sappy” moment.
“I love you too, Hairstripe.”
And he means it. Their glassware might be broken, and even their reputation is shattered into pieces, but they have each other and that’s all that really matters.
———————————————————————
I hope you all enjoyed this one! It hurt me to write those bullies...haha, but I actually loved writing the story!! Thank you so much Mom for asking for this!!! 💙

some musings on TCW season 7
One of the things that makes Tumblr difficult is that I really, REALLY don’t want to harsh anyone’s squee. I don’t want to be that person who sails in, sneers disdainfully at what people are enjoying, and then ambling out, having sucked as much joy out of the room as possible.
My brother used to do that about ANYTHING I was watching, and I still resent it. I don’t want to do that to anyone.
Meanwhile, I’ve reached my saturation point with Season 7 of clone wars, and in my own tired, perpetually exhausted way, I want to scream. Thus, kvetching under the cut. In all seriousness, if you’re enjoying Season 7, then please, PLEASE skip this rant. I sincerely hope you continue to enjoy and Season 7 continues to entertain.
I haven’t watched it: I’m practicing that much self care, at least. There’s been lots of meta and gifsets running around, so I’ve gotten enough second hand exposure – along with useful meandering through various wikis and such – that I feel able to comment about it.
It is indeed very cinematic, and I guess if you dig the art style, then it is a very good example of said art style. But from a broadstrokes perspective, the writing?
What an absolute screaming dumpsterfire.
The thing that finally pushed me from “meh” to “nope, gotta rant about this” was a fascinating piece of meta here, about how Maul is the prism character – the lens through which the story is told. Now, that’s my phrasing and not the OP’s, and again, I haven’t actually seen this so I’m taking a lot of things at face value.
It’s a fascinating approach, and makes the angst and despair that much sharper – especially if you apply this post about parallels to RotS, and let’s not forget the very impressive mocap for the lightsaber fight.
My question, however, is why the FUCK would you do that in the first place? (Not the mocap. That’s genuinely impressive.)
First off: you’re putting the audience in the same boat with the villain. Your lens character is the one who frames the story, who puts into perspective how one interprets events. In this case, that implies that what Ahsoka, Rex, and the rest of the clones are doing is in the antagonist's position, which might be part of the whole “nothing is true and nothing is false but everything is fucked” atmosphere that they seem to be trying to foster (see: Ahsoka’s arguments with Obi-Wan. GFFA has some good breakdowns as far as I can tell). So Maul is supposed to be the lynchpin of this story, either as the protagonist or the Sancho Panza to the protagonist.
That’s a damn weird take on this particular story. Is it about Mandalore? Is it about Ahsoka’s journey? Is it about Maul’s journey? Or are we trying for something meta about how it’s how Maul and Ahsoka’s journeys parallel each other’s, and how those contrast with Anakin’s?
Have you noticed yet who’s missing from this equation?
For a show that’s called “The Clone Wars,” there’s been astonishingly little clones involved in the broader plot. So let’s take a step back from this one issue and look at the season as a whole.
There’s been ten episodes so far this season, out of twelve total. Six of them have centered around Ahsoka. The other four have been about Rex and the Bad Batch. Now, let’s set aside the whole very valid debate about having so many female centric characters and stories is grand, and we need lots more. That’s a damn good point, and Star Wars as a whole needs better diversity on all fronts. Not the particular lens I’m looking through at the moment.
There’s been four of ten episodes about clones. In the final season of The Clone Wars. Yes, they show up in other episodes, but that’s not the focus.
Why would you do that?? We got five seasons already where the clones are more background noise with the occasional highlight (The Deserter, the Umbara Arc), and the entire freakin’ war has been named after them. Ok, so maybe that’s to some degree social commentary about how the Republic was viewing them – background noise against which the weird mythical Jedi shit really stood out – and the sixth season was more a hodgepodge of “we have THESE episodes nearly in the can, rush to finish them because this is important shit to get out the door to bridge from this series to the movies.”
They didn’t expect to have the chance to make this season. They could’ve done pretty much anything, since they didn’t even default to just using the episodes that WERE 70% done (if not more) and had been released into the wild as animatics.
So why pick these stories to tell? And moreover, why this way? Why not make the last hurrah that the crew could not have expected be something coherent and about the actual people that the damned show is named for?
Let’s play with hypotheticals, since kvetching without reasonable alternatives is considered uncouth these days. Let’s say one wants the Bad Batch “rescuing Echo” arc (and that it’s not agony porn. To be fair, I’m not sure if it IS agony porn, thus the presumption that it’s an arc to be had). Since we already spent SIX ENTIRE SEASONS beating home the point that clones are individuals and to be respected as such, rather than introducing new clones who are “aberrations” just to drive home hey, they’re clone versions of TF2 characters clone versions of terrible action movie heroes individuals, how about this?
Cody calls in the Bad Batch, a squad that gets sent into the worst situations and honestly, isn’t ever really expected to come out alive. They’re bad clones, you see. Their leader is probably a man named Dogma – he’s a Jedi killer, but damn loyal to the Republic. His second in command – not that either of them are happy about that – is Slick, a Brother Killer and all around asshole. The other two members of the squad are two deserters: Cut Lawquane, who was found and brought back to the army, and Boil, who was caught trying to leave after Umbara. They have a civilian support member, Suu Lawquane (a damn good sniper, and she now has armor as well as actual clothes).
Bring so many of Rex’s issues home to roost. Make that poor man question all his life choices. He’s still reeling from the whole chip arc and Fives’ death. Let him see what the Grand Army does with its too loyal soldiers, how Dogma did the right thing against orders and is now leading others into the meat grinder on the daily. Let him see what the Grand Army does to traitors, like Slick whose hands are red with the blood of his brothers – just like Rex’s, after Umbara. Cut, who left after too much death, and built a life. Boil, who lost so much, who had enough and just wanted to go find the one remnant of good things that he’d ever encountered in his short life.
They’ve got slave explosive implants somewhere – three because they’re flight risks, Dogma because – well, no one can say why, but it’s so. Let Slick shove Anakin’s nose into the fact that the Jedi are still leading a slave army, have Anakin have to confront that it’s not hyperbole anymore, not when the clones have chips in their heads and now these have slave implants they literally don’t know where.
Hell, have Anakin blow up at Cody over this, and perhaps Cody has to pull rank – establish on screen that he’s running so much of this damn war. He doesn’t like what’s been done with the Bad Batch either, but he can only put out so many fires, and keeping this from raging out of control is the best he can manage.
Let the audience see consequences. Let there be fallout as they go searching for Echo, and the Bad Batch’s various past issues bounce against the experiences of Rex and whoever’s along with him.
(For that matter, if you still want to tackle Mandalore and all that, have one of the soldiers going along with be Vaughn – get to know the man for a little bit. See how Random!Clone reacts to all this, not just Jesse and Kix. Someone without the history with any of these men. While we’re at it, Dogma had Kix in the firing line against Jesse. GIVE ME THE REACTIONS, DAMMIT! AND! And does Rex ever have to say to Dogma “you did the right thing, that Jedi needed to die”? How much does that blow EITHER of their minds?)
Show us travel time. Show us what it’s like for a bunch of soldiers to be stuck in a tin can flying through space along with an entire penal squad of brothers who spit in the face of what the GAR stands for – for reasons both good and bad. Show us what the years have done to Dogma and Slick, how Cut and Suu have adjusted from a life of growing things to having to murder things. How Boil just is done, and wants to head to Ryloth (hey, maybe Numa is currently living with her new sibs/cousins/friends/arch-rivals Shaeeah and Jek).
Then add poor Echo into that mix. Echo, who doesn’t quite know what he’s doing anymore, who was in the Citadel, then stuck in a nightmare of battle sims, and now in this new nightmare of a war that dragged on even longer – and no Fives.
Let us grieve along with him. Fives got a four episode arc (gee, I wonder why this season wanted to start with a four episode arc dealing with the last Domino >_>) where he fell, let us watch Echo’s rise and how he deals with all this.
Let him decide he wants to leave some of the more painful memories behind, how he can’t stay with Rex because it hurts too much, but at least now he’s got some fellow exiles to watch over.
Let the last we see of him be Echo using his new abilities to dismantle both the insidious little buzzing chip inside his and his team’s heads, along with the explosives they also have to bear. Fives died because of the chip, let Echo help others to live in spite of it.
Then slide the camera focus from Rex to Vaughn. Perhaps he gets assigned to go find the former Commander Tano (did he know her at all? Or had he just heard about her?). We could follow him across Coruscant, meeting various civilians who had Strange Encounters with that nice young Togruta. Maybe we get a fun montage: Vaughn questioning people, their various reactions, possibly as a nice voiceover to What Really Happened – that also gives a grand opportunity to get people’s impressions of the Jedi and their clone lackeys.
Then off to Mandalore, still from Vaughn’s perspective. Let us watch this poor man’s rise, as he has to be the metaphorical third wheel to The Team’s reunion. He’s the poor uncomfortable bastard in the room, but he’s a good man, loyal and skilled.
(Also, why could we not get the clones receiving patches or decals of Ahsoka’s markings, and play with that? Emphasize the clones’ individuality – some have it on their shoulder bells, some did the helmets, some have the design down the arm, along the leg – just...diversify, dammit!)
Have Vaughn keep up with Ashoka all the way through to the fight with Maul. Have him be hit, have him be disarmed for the fight – all he can do is witness it (for that matter, you can echo the Duel of the Fates, with Vaughn being in Qui-Gon’s position of dying on the floor).
Then let us see Order 66 from the clones’ perspectives. Show us the sieges, show us Bly and his squad following Aayla into the woods; show us Wolffe and the pack separating from Plo; show us Fox patrolling the Senate.
We’ve seen the Jedi die already. Show us the other side, if you insist on breaking our hearts, and show us how the clones go from good men to good soldiers.
Let me see Cody, let me see the aftermath on Utapau. Let me see Rex breaking, or refusing to break, or whatever it is that happens.
Let this season be about clones.

Mean Girls(Guys?)
Warnings: Swearing, potential transphobia(it depends on how you see it), gossip, Deceit(tho I haven’t decided if he’s gonna be sympathetic or not in this yet). Tell me if there are any more I need to tag.
Ships: None here
Plot: I don’t really know what I’m thinking here. The only way I can think of how to explain without giving too much away is it is a reverse Mean Girls, but that doesn’t really fit it. I got my inspiration from this Animatic to ‘Meet the Plastics’ from Mean Girls.
A/N: I haven’t seen Mean Girls yet- even though I really should cause it looks good from what I’ve seen. But, anyway, don’t expect it to follow the plot of the movie cause I don’t know that. Also, the language translations are through Google, so please tell me if they’re wrong.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Logan set his lunch tray down at the table and took a seat beside at the table with two other students that had shown him around this morning.
“So, how's your first day been?” Patton- he thinks- asks in between bites of his sandwich. Logan shrugs.
“It could’ve been worse. I don’t understand the calculus teacher. And math is the subject I’m good at.” Logan explains as he pulls apart his sandwich and plucks out the ham to lay on the edge of his tray.
“Wait- who do you have?” Roman suddenly spoke as he nearly slammed his milk carton down on his tray after chugging the whole thing.
“Ms. Horton,” Logan says softly. Roman winces out of sympathy.
“Ouch. Enjoy. She never gives any student anything more than a B-. She looks over homework and tests for like a week straight just to find one little error in order to fail you.” Roman explains as he picked up his own sandwich. Logan nodded slowly as he put his sandwich back together after taking out all of the ham. He took a bite and glanced around the cafeteria as he chewed.
“Who’s that there?” Logan spoke up after a moment, gesturing across the cafeteria to a student kneeling on top of a table with two other students sitting on either side of him. He wore a black shirt with the words “Fuck Off” in white lettering under a ripped black jacket with skinny jeans and purple heeled boots. He had a choker around his neck, several piercings in each of his ears, a nose piercing, and chains hanging from his jeans. He was gorgeous. Almost too good to be real.
Patton glanced to where Logan was pointing before looking back at sighing.
“That’s Virgil Moore. He is the richest kid in this entire school-”
“His dad is a billionaire.” Roman cut in quickly. Logan looked confused.
“Then why is he in a school such as this one? It seems like they could afford a private school.” Logan says in disbelief.
“Virgil is too stupid to go anywhere else,” Roman states blatantly, causing another student behind them to snort and then try to hold back laughter.
“Don’t say that!” Patton hissed, reaching across the table to smack Roman’s arm. “Remi will hear you.” He warns, leaving Logan confused again.
“Remi..?” Logan questions. Patton sighs again and looks towards the clique across the cafeteria.
“See the kid to the left of Virgil? Sunglasses and bubblegum bubble?” Patton asks, pointing them out. Once Logan nods, Patton continues, “That is Remi Dormir. They are the gossip queen of the school. If you have a secret, they will know it.” Logan swallows hard as Patton said that. Oh no.
“And if you anger Remi, or really, any of the three of them, you can guarantee that the whole school will know everything about you the next day,” Roman spoke up. Logan nodded slowly. Double oh no.
“And.. you said there’s three of them?” Logan asks quietly. Just a little scared of them now.
“Duh. Can’t you see? To the right of Virgil. The one with the scar on his face. That is Dee. We literally don’t know any more of his name. The teachers are too scared to speak it and he never tells it to anyone. We only call him Dee because that’s what Virgil and Remi call him.” Roman explains as he points at the punk with a dyed yellow mohawk and snake bite piercings.
“They’re all rich and fake. Don’t talk to them.” Patton warns offhandedly as he picks up an apple slice from his tray.
“I’ll even bet you fifty dollars that you can’t find something on Virgil that isn’t plastic or altered in some way,” Roman says, crossing his arms over his chest.
Logan nods slowly, though he couldn’t stop from glancing over at the beautiful boy across the cafeteria. Though, when Virgil looked over and made eye contact, Logan felt his cheeks heat up and he quickly turned to look away. He watched out of the corner of his eye as Virgil leaned over and whispered something to Remi, who responded without looking up from their phone. Logan swallowed before turning back to finish his lunch.
He wondered what Remi already knew about him.
~On the other side of the cafeteria~
Virgil gazed around the cafeteria as he picked at his lunch, his black fingernails picking apart his sandwich as he reminded himself not to eat too much. He noticed someone staring at him from across the cafeteria and stared back until they looked away. Well, that was a new face he hadn’t seen before.
“Hey, Rem. Who’s the new kid?” Virgil asks after leaning over to whisper to his friend.
“Logan Sanders. Just moved here from Germany-” Remi replied without looking up from their phone.
“Ew.” Dee cut in.
“Tais-toi.” Remi snaps back, making Virgil roll his eyes. (Translate: Shut up)
“English, please, French boy.” Virgil scolds, causing Remi to elbow him in the ribs.
“Tu es une salope,” Remi comments, causing Virgil to hit them right back. (Translate: You are a slut.)
“I know what that means, Remi.” Virgil scowls, making Dee laugh.
“Anyways-” Remi cuts back in, finally looking up from their phone. “-Looks like he’s already gone with the nerds. Which means he shouldn’t be too much of a problem for us.” Remi says and Virgil hums.
“Know anything about him just by looking,” Virgil asks.
“Nope, but I did look into his school file. He used to be Ava.” Remi explains and Virgil paused for a moment.
“Wait, you mean he’s-” Remi’s nod cut off what Virgil was about to say.
“Oh my god!” Virgil laughs loudly, attracting the attention of a few nearby tables.
~Back to the other side of the cafeteria~
Logan was just about finished with his lunch, looking up as Patton and Roman got up.
“We’ll be right back, kiddo,” Patton says as they both took their trays and walked off. Logan watched them before turning back to his lunch, which was almost gone.
Moments later, two trays nearly slam down on the table and a third was set down softly. Logan’s head shot up to stare at Virgil, Remi, and Dee.
Virgil leaned on the table as Remi pulled out their phone, which had just buzzed with a message.
“Alright. We don’t usually do this, but you’re the new kid, right?” Virgil asks, waiting for Logan to nod before continuing, “How would you like to sit with us for lunch for the rest of this week?”
“I- uh..” Logan stutters, glancing behind himself to try to find Patton or Roman.
“Hey, you don’t have to thank us. We’ll see you tomorrow.” Remi spoke, glancing up from their phone to look at Logan.
“On Fridays, we wear black,” Dee said now before he and the other two grabbed their trays and walked off.
Logan swallowed slowly. Well, this ought to be fun.

What Once Was, and What Now Is
hey so, like, i haven’t written fanfiction in forever but i was so inspired by everyone’s fics based on my animatic, so i decided to throw my own thoughts into the broil! sorry if it aint the best, seriously this thing tried to go in like, seven different directions. anyway, enjoy!
Virgil lands with a huff, groaning around the air rushing into his lungs to replace the breath just knocked out of them. His backside hurts from the impact and he can already feel bruises forming on his pale skin where he wasn’t quick enough to deflect the blows.
Sensing movement in front of him he cracks open his eyes, having previously squeezed them shut in anticipation for the fall. A sword glints just below his chin, the sharp tip inches from his throat, and he follows the blade up to glare at the one wielding it.
Roman smirks back, his normally impeccable chestnut hair and uniform awry. His chest heaves with exhaustion, a thin layer of sweat gleaming on his forehead, but his warm brown eyes are alight with mischief and amusement. Said amusement boils into chuckles as he lowers his sword, replacing it instead with an olive branch in the form of an offered hand.
“If it makes you feel better Ol’ Fearful, you almost posed a challenge this time around.”
Virgil scoffs bitterly, but allows the knight to pull him to his feet, “What an achievement, a knight beating a simple messenger boy. You must be so proud of yourself, Sir-Sucks-A-Lot.”
Roman just laughs louder at the venom dripping from his words, knowing full well there’s no actual heat behind them. Virgil busies himself with dusting the dirt from his clothes and retrieving his own sword- a duller practice sword that pales in comparison to Roman’s intricately crafted one- to hide the flush that usually comes to his cheeks upon hearing the knight’s laugh.
“Come now Virgil,” Roman says, sheathing his sword and approaching the other man with a hearty clap on the back, “to still think of yourself as a lowly messenger boy after all this time would be an insult to my excellent tutelage!”
Virgil allows himself a moment to soak in the physical contact before shrugging him off with a huff and an exaggerated eye roll, “You praise yourself as if you’re actually training me to be an knight. Sorry to burst your bubble Princey, but I’m no one’s squire, let alone yours. Remember, we agreed you’d teach me the bare minimum on how to defend myself, nothing more.”
He notices the way Roman usually preens at that particular nickname, but doesn’t comment on it as the knight quickly barrels the conversation forward, “Well of course I know you’re not an actual knight-in-training, but if you’d only apply yourself more I’m positive that would be a possibility for the future!”
Virgil’s catches the laugh in his throat, disguising it as another scoff, “Thanks, but I think I’ll save the heroics for the more-” he gives Roman a pointed look “brashful and annoying.”
“I’ll have you eating those words soon enough, my Dark and Stormy Knight!” Roman proclaims with his usual dramatic flare, drawing his sword again with a flourish and a set grin.
Virgil groans, but drops down into a defensive stance regardless. He’d really rather not go for another- what was it at this point? Forth? Fifth?- round, but he finds he has trouble saying no to the fanciful knight when he looks so eager and happy to just be around Virgil.
So when he rushes forward with a louder than necessary battle cry, Virgil just grins and raises his sword to prepare for the oncoming blow.
There’s a loud metallic echo of steel on steel followed quickly by the sounds of a sword scraping along tile. Virgil barely has the time to register his weapon being knocked from his hands before he’s being kicked to the ground, landing on his back with a sharp cry of pain.
He struggles to push himself up on his hands, his entire body aches and the blood dripping from the cut above his eye causes the cracked floor to blur below him. Or maybe it’s the pain in his broken ribs that’s causing his head to spin, it would certainly explain why it’s suddenly extremely difficult to breath.
Regardless of the cause, he does manage to sort through his scrambled thoughts enough to hear the click click click of heels on tile growing closer. He keeps his head bowed, still unable to look him in the eye, even after having spent what seemed like hours getting his ass kicked by him.
He chuckles above him, a dark and twisted sound that causes Virgil’s stomach to tie itself into knots for entirely different reasons then it used to. Virgil fights the urge to curl in on himself, partly because he doesn’t want to appear weak(or, well weaker) and partly cause he’s not sure he even can without passing out from the pain of moving.
He, however, sees through him and tsks almost in disappointment, “Giving up already, Virgil? I can’t say I’m surprised, you never were very good at sparring, despite my best efforts to teach you. It would seem even I can’t fix every failure.”
The words cut deep, deeper than any wound he’s been inflicted on this battlefield, and Virgil silently curses the burning behind his eyes. Virgil hadn’t ever realized how much the truth could truly hurt. In the end Virgil had failed. Failed to lead the people when they truly needed him, as evident by the cries of pain, for help, he can hear even from inside the deserted castle foyer. Failed to protect his friends, his king. He can almost see them now, Logan and Patton clinging desperately to each other as they navigate a crumbling palace in search for their monarch and friend.
Worst of all, as he finally looks up into the eyes of the man looming over him, he realizes he’s failed the one he loves the most.
Roman, his Roman with the perfect chestnut hair and white uniform and warm brown eyes, does not stare back. Instead it’s a creature who bares his face, which is covered in dirt and blood, and speaks in a broken, twisted version of his voice.
His usual white knightly attire has been replaced with a more regal uniform composed of blacks and greys, now coated in a thick layer of dust and ash. The scarf still secured around Virgil’s neck suddenly weighs ten times heavier.
A flower crown rests uptop his head, the petals of each rose a dark, consuming black. Thick thorns dig into into his scalp, thin dark veins branching out across his skin from the point of contact. Virgil notes that they seem longer and thicker than when he first saw them.
Apparently tired of his appraising, Roman raises the tip of his sword under Virgil’s chin -the cool metal causing him to flinch- and tilts his head up to finally meet his eyes, the one place Virgil was trying his best to avoid.
To starve off the inevitable, Virgil squeezes his eyes firmly shut and can practically feel Roman’s frustrated growl in his own chest, “Look at me Virgil.”
He refuses and for his disobedience is rewarded with a thin slit to the underside of his jaw as Roman slides the edge of his weapon along his skin, “Look at me, look at your king.”
Shaking and fearful of the sword inching dangerously closer to his throat, Virgil obeys. The tears he’s been trying so desperately to keep at bay rush down his cheeks, leaving tracks in the grime, as he looks into glowing yellow eyes. There’s nothing behind them, no warmth or chivalry or dumb pet names, and Virgil sobs.
The cold of the sword disappears, quickly being replaced by equally cold fingers as Roman kneels down to coo softly at him, those empty yellow eyes now unbearably close, “Now now my precious pet, there’s no need for that. I do so hate seeing you in pain.”
His fingers tighten into a vice like grip around his bruised cheek and Virgil screams at the white hot flash of pain that shoots through him. Roman laughs over his whimpers, wrenching his hand away and wiping it on his shirt as he stands back up with a flourish that, in any other situation, would have Virgil fondly rolling his eyes.
Now he just keeps his head bowed, defeated and completely broken. He had already failed, whatever came next he would deserve.
He hears as Roman drags his sword across the floor, feels rather than sees him settles the blade against the back of his neck briefly before raising it above his head, recognizes the sounds of it cutting through the air.
Virgil just closes his eyes and braces for the oncoming blow.

Weekly Summary - Week 22
Regarding my mystery box, for my first proper attempt at stop motion animation I feel that I did pretty sub-par as I am not overly impressed with what I was able to produce and I feel that I know and understand where the weak spots in my animation are and what needs working on when I undergo another stop motion project. positively however despite these flaws I feel that when I was able to portray exactly what I aimed for within a certain part of the sequence it showed through which was commented by some of my peers upon viewing what I had created. When compared to my first pass at this especially I know I have made noticeable improvements to my work. Continuing on from my 3rd iteration, I also completed my animatic this week, something that I feel also could do with another iteration. Despite the finished result doing it’s job on showing what I aimed to do in my actual animation, I feel that still looking back I could have included more key-frames. In conclusion to the project as a whole I’m satisfied with my progress with Stop-Motion as to me it is still a relatively new medium to work in for me. I feel that I’ve learnt more about the importance of timing and planning when it comes to setting out a Stop Motion animation to what I did before something that I wish to improve upon for the future.
Nothing much progressed with my industry research this week besides looking into a few behind the scenes videos from Laika the stop motion studio that made the likes of Paranorman and Coraline. I want to look into the budget of feature length films and the pricing of materials and set design.
I managed to make progress on my older CG workshop stuff this week finishing off my radio in Maya. I encountered and issue I had made duplicating a section I wasn’t supposed to. With a little bit of help from a classmate, I was able to finish the model; All I need to do with the radio now is colour it. Besides the radio, I also re-posted my alien cow abduction sequence from months back as the previous time I recorded the sequence from my phone instead of just uploading the mp4 file directly to Tumblr. I still have a few tasks left to do with this assignment which I aim to finish within the coming weeks.
This week I had the intro to a new project surrounding mythical creatures. The class was set into groups to draw out our individual ideas which I put my own results on my blog. Leaving the session I had a vague idea of what I wanted to do but since we have to have them all fit into an “eco-system” of characters it weighed my judgement on what initial ideas I wanted to develop. I also opted to switch over mediums opting to use cg for this project instead of cg like the mystery box project. I made this choice as I wanted to explore both outlets we were given. In addition to this, I also wanted to improve upon my 3D modelling skills and give both a try as I wasn’t entirely satisfied with my end result for the mystery box. Before this project I had done physical model making in the past which was something I did enjoy so when I found out we will be making physical models next week with a material called Super Sculpy, I thought it logical to move over to 3D. I feel confident moving into this project and i’m curious to see how I can improve my use of Maya.

Part Three
Also it’s midnight here and I really should be in bed (but sleep is for the weak) so sorry about the horrible writing! Okay. I’m done. Go read.
“So, what happened to your arm?”
Evan turned towards the sound of the voice and nearly had to squint at the sight. Through all the holographic hair clips and shining, colored streaks of hair, Evan somehow managed to figure out that the source was none other than Connor Murphy, the kid he pushed earlier that day. He scoffed and unconsciously scratched at the small amount of skin above his cast but beneath his elbow. “I fell out of a fucking tree,” Evan mumbled.
“You fell out of a tree?” Connor repeated. “That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever heard. I’m so sorry.”
Evan rolled his eyes. “Why are you sorry? It’s not like you pushed me out of the tree.”
Connor stood uncomfortable, shifting his weight from foot-to-foot. He gripped the paper in his hand a bit more tightly. “I see, uh, no one’s signed your cast.”
“Yeah. I know,” Evan said, tossing his bag over his shoulder. Why couldn’t Connor take the hint that he wasn’t one to make conversation with? Just let him grab his paper off the printer and leave for his next class. The sooner he got this school day over with, the sooner he could get into his moms medicine cabinet.
“Well, I’ll sign it,” Connor smiled, tucking a strand of pastel pink hair behind his ear.
“Oh.” How was Evan supposed to react to that? Connor—the kid who’s constantly picked on for his love of bright and colorful things. The kid who Evan had pushed earlier that day because he was so mad at some stupid offhand comment about his own looks that he had to take it out on someone else. The kid who just so happened to be the older brother of Zoe Murphy, Evan’s crush—wanted to sign his cast. “You don’t, um, you don’t have to.”
Connor shrugged. “You have a sharpie?” Evan dug into his coat pocket and pulled out the black sharpie his mom had gave him that morning. Connor grimaced at the marker. “Do you have one in blue?”
Evan frowned. “No I don’t have one in fucking blue.”
The taller boy smiled and set the paper he was holding down on the desk beside him. He swung his backpack off his shoulders, unzipped it, and pulled out his cotton candy covered pencil case. “I think Zoe gave mine back to me,” Connor said as he looked through the small case. Evan could see that the pencil case was filled with dozens of different colored sharpies. Some of the caps had small teeth marks from when Connor held them in his mouth while he was using the marker.
“Here it is!” Connor smiled and uncapped it. He carefully grabbed Evan’s cast and, in big, bold letters, spelled out “CONNOR” with a small smiley face at the end.
Evan raised an eyebrow at the size of the name. “Oh. Wow. Thanks?”
“Don’t mention it,” Connor said as he packed up his things. He gasped and grabbed the paper off the desk, handing it to the emo boy. “Here. I found this on the printer. I think it belongs to you? ‘Dear Evan Hansen,’ that’s you, right?”
Evan snatched the paper from his hands and stuffed it into his pocket. “Yeah. It’s just, um, it’s a shitty letter, paper I had to write for the, um, a class,” Evan managed to get out. He felt his palms start to sweat. Shit! Not here, not now! Please!
“Hey, are you okay?” Connor asked, putting a hand on Evan’s shoulder. “You look like you’re about to pass out.”
Evan pushed him away and stumbled out of the computer lab. Fuck, fuck, fuck! Why did you have to have a panic attack now? And for some shitty reason, non the less! Connor hadn’t even read the whole letter! Probably? He did see it was my name. Shit. He read it, didn’t he? These thoughts ran through Evans head as he headed for the second floor boys bathroom. It was almost always empty which was great because Evan could go there when his panic attacks set in. He stomped inside and went to the back stall, stuffing himself into the back corner and tucking his legs into his chest.
He was so focused on leaving that he didn’t remember to close the bathroom door.
“Evan? I don’t really know what’s going on, but I don’t think I’m supposed to just leave you here alone,” Connor said as he entered the small bathroom. He closed the door and went to the back stall, kneeling in front of the slightly shaking boy. “What do you need me to do?”
Evan couldn’t answer. He couldn’t talk. Heck, he couldn’t even move his mouth. He just sat there shivering, trying to control his breathing.
Connor pulled off his multicolored vest and tossed it over Evan’s shoulders. “I know you already have a jacket on, but you were still shivering so this might help,” he explained.
Connor bit his lip as he watched the emo boy take big, gulping breaths. An idea popped into his mind. Connor went into his bag and pulled out his cotton candy pencil case once again, grabbing a purple sharpie from inside. He gently grabbed Evan’s cast and set it in his lap. “Hey, try this, okay?” Connor drew a small square on the underside of the cast. “When I trace the line up, breath in. But don’t let go until I trace the line going down, okay?”
Evan silently nodded, squinting through newly-forming tears to watch Connors square. He followed Connors instructions and was surprised at how well it helped to control his breathing. After 43 fully completed squares, Evan was breathing normally again. He was surprised when he heard his own voice thank Connor for helping him.
Connor smiled and capped the marker. “Don’t mention it. Again.” He put the sharpie away and pulled out a light green one. He started to draw a small vine with leaves on his forearm.
Evan watched, entranced by the calming stroke of Connor’s sharpie. He felt like a complete fool when he said, “can you draw that on my cast?”
Connor stared at Evan for a few seconds before breaking out into a giant grin. “Of course!”
The rest of the school day was spent hiding in the second floor bathroom. When the bell rang indicating school was over, Evan’s cast was covered in pastel colored flowers, sweets, different shapes, and even a mini self portrait of himself. Evan gathered his things and gave Connor his vest back. He was ready to go home and…oh. Right. His moms medicine cabinet. Evan forgot about that. At least today was a good day to end on, right?
“Do you want me to bring you pink or blue cotton candy?”
Evan looked at Connor with questioning eyes. “What do you mean?”
“Zoe and I are gonna have a two a.m. cotton candy party and I was wondering if you’d want me to bring you some tomorrow?” Connor explained, putting away his things and standing up.
“Why would you want to bring me some?” Evan asked and walked out of the bathroom, the pastel boy in tow.
“Because you’re my friend!” Connor said happily. “So, pink or blue?”
Evan shrugged. “Surprise me.”
“Okay. Yeah. Sounds good.” Connor spotted Zoe in the crowded hallway. “I’ve gotta go. But I’ll see you tomorrow, Evan!” With one last smile, Connor walked away from Evan and towards his sister.
When Evan got home that afternoon, he tossed his bag on the couch and made a beeline for his moms bathroom. She wouldn’t be home till late that night which left Evan with more than enough time to do what he needed to do. He opened Heidi’s medicine cabinet and scanned the contents quickly before finding what he needed; his moms sleeping pills. Unfortunately, the few Xanax Evan had left wouldn’t be enough to do the job. So these pills would be doing the honors.
As Evan reached for the pills, he couldn’t help but notice he used his broken arm. Of course, the first thing that caught his eye was the giant “CONNOR” on it. That’s right. Connor was bringing him cotton candy tomorrow. Evan didn’t know if he was getting pink or blue. With a sigh, Evan closed the cabinet and shuffled back into the living room. He plopped onto the couch and flicked on the tv, playing whatever show just happened to be on there.
Evan would have to wait on those pills for another day. After all, he just had to know what colored cotton candy his friend was giving him. Who wouldn’t want to know something like that?

“Frozen" - Potential Past Plots
I know it’s been years, but something that still gets me about Frozen is the snippets I’ve gleaned of what the plot might have been, originally, based on the deleted songs and some old concept notes. It wouldn’t have been as iconic a kids’ movie, sure, and I get why Disney made the changes they did, but I love one of the potential past plots so much more.
For people who haven’t heard outtakes, here’s a summary of the songs:
“We Know Better” -  A glimpse into Elsa and Anna’s relationship from infancy through childhood, and how both of them rebelled against the idea of traditional, well-mannered princesses.
There’s a second half not on the official OST, which is on the piano sheet music for it, the lyrics for which are found here. People are afraid of Elsa and her powers, fearing her and calling her a freak. The King and Queen turn Anna into a kind of keeper for her sister. Anna grows into a more classical, romantically inclined princess as Elsa grows increasingly ostracized. While this is equally compelling, I didn’t know about this when I invented my interpretation of the outtakes, so I’m going to set this aside for now, aha.
This looks like it’ll get long, so I’ll put the rest under the cut:
“Spring Pageant” - The children of the kingdom are forced to rehearse for a spring pageant about how winter is terrible and to be despised, based on a prophecy that states a ruler with a frozen heart will bring eternal winter to the kingdom, only to be broken with “a sword sacrifice”. This is a pageant to be performed at Elsa’s coronation, so at the end, they break into adulation for Elsa, whom they love and admire. Now, I don’t know if this is from the same draft as “We Know Better,” but if we omit the second half of that song, it works out.
Let’s say that the accident from the final version of the movie did happen. Elsa and Anna were having fun, and Elsa accidentally strikes and nearly kills Anna. This is when Elsa either first hears of or first starts to believe in the prophecy. Out of fear, she draws away from Anna (who has forgotten about Elsa’s powers) and determines to become the perfect princess, and by the time of the Spring Pageant, Elsa has fashioned herself into a perfect role model. To prove to herself that she’s not going to bring ruin to the kingdom, she’s become kind, gracious, responsible, educated, etc. so that she can be a great queen. However, this leads to:
“More Than Just the Spare” - As Elsa grew into the perfect princess, Anna feels abandoned and unneeded. “She’s the scholar, athlete, poet. I’m the screw-up... Don’t I know it.” They were rebellious princesses together, but one day Elsa grew distant, too focused on responsibilities to have spend time with her. The whole kingdom adores Elsa, who will be queen. But Anna doesn’t have a place in the kingdom. She isn’t as regal, as focused - she hears the townspeople refer to her as a ‘spare’. Of course this does a number on her self-esteem.
Someday I'll find my thing, a thing that's all my own That thing that makes me part of something Not just all alone If only all this feeling I have in my heart, could mean something to someone, how I'd love to play that part
This leaves her vulnerable to:
“You’re You” - Hans knows a vulnerable girl when he sees one, and he sweeps in, playing on her insecurities. He opens up by naming her flaws, but then follows it up with the chorus, saying, “You're you...you-you” - he helps her feel seen, feel loved for who she is, screw-up and all. It explains why she falls for him so quickly and completely, while also setting up some foreshadowing. He claims to love her for her naivety, and insists that she “stay that way a while.”
The coronation party goes similarly to the final film. One big difference from the Frozen we know is that this Elsa would have learned to mask her anxiety better. She overcompensates for it, is genuinely the perfect princess, adored by the populace. In any case, Elsa is feeling rattled from watching the Spring Pageant, feeling like a danger, feeling like a fraud, and then Anna shows up to announce her engagement to Hans. (Also, I don’t think it matters heavily whether the King and Queen are alive or dead - it could go either way.) Elsa disapproves and Anna confronts her about it, and Elsa accidentally reveals her powers.
Of course, because of the prophecy, everyone’s reactions are so much worse. They fear the ruin of their kingdom. There’s uproar and outrage. The children that so adored Elsa are terrified of her now, and it’s so much worse because they all loved Elsa, the perfect princess. Unable to face this, Elsa flees.
The story follows the final film’s plot, then. The eternal winter does rush in, and the people despair, thinking that it must be the prophecy. Anna is left conflicted, because her sister wouldn’t ruin the kingdom, she can’t be the prophecy - but her motivations in going to see Elsa would be a little more complex. Yes, she wants Elsa to undo the storm, but now she knows that Elsa isn’t the perfect princess. Elsa isn’t better than her in every way. Without knowing it herself, Anna is probably feeling something akin to a superiority complex. And like this, she goes after her sister with Kristoff’s help.
Meanwhile, Elsa has her “Let it Go” moment (enjoy this version without the instruments, which is really interesting!) and shoves off all those self-imposed shackles. She doesn’t force herself to be that perfect princess anymore, going back to some of that childlike mischief she used to have. She lets her powers loose, and hey, she can’t be the prophecy. Someone who can create such lovely things - a whole castle! - can’t be the prophecy... and she forces herself to believe this. And then Anna comes to see her.
“Life’s Too Short” - As you can see in the link, this song actually made it to the animatic stage of the production process. When Anna comes to see her, Elsa is momentarily delighted. She’s never forgotten the fun they had as children. She’s always wanted to reconnect with Anna, and now, she can, without the fearful facade. However, when Anna tells Elsa to come back, Elsa is angry, almost betrayed. Anna wants her to go back to that perfect princess she was before? After the freedom she’s found, Elsa can’t fathom that - she can’t handle that. She tries to kick Anna out.
And meanwhile, Anna, who all her life has been ignored and belittled, feels she’s being looked down upon again. Being disrespected again. And she can’t help herself - she brings out her trump card, the one thing that gives her an edge over Elsa.
Kick me out if you want, but I’m the only one who Is not one hundred percent convinced the prophecy’s you!
But Anna doesn’t realize just how deeply the prophecy’s hurt Elsa, who can’t control herself after this. She lashes out at Anna, and wants to do everything she can to get away from her, using her ice, but Anna - sick of being shut out - is relentless. Then we get to the climax, where Elsa accidentally freezes Anna’s heart. She’s immediately horrified, but Kristoff probably rushes in and sweeps Anna away. Elsa is left destroyed, more convinced than ever that she really is the prophecy, really is a monster.
“Life’s Too Short (Reprise)” - Now, it’s pretty obvious that this song wasn’t from the same draft as “We Know Better” because of the “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” riffs in it, but it occurs after Elsa’s been captured and Anna was abandoned by Hans to freeze to death. Both girls go through some heavy reflection and are filled with regrets.
Now, that’s the end of the relevant outtakes, but that’s not the end of my interpretation of them, aha.
After the iconic “if only there was someone who loved you” line, surely Hans throws in something about Anna being the spare - perhaps something about how he needs to be rid of the spare to make sure the kingdom comes to him. (Maybe he reveals something about himself - she thinks it’s terrible being the spare? Imagine being less than that. The spare of a spare of a spare of a spare. Completely unnecessary, unmissed... but it doesn’t matter, because Arendelle needs him now.) And then some flippant comment about how there needs to be a sword sacrifice to end this storm, and how Elsa is that sacrifice.
Everything else basically follows the ending of the final film, except with some more comments about the prophecy. Anna then throws herself in front of Hans’ sword, sacrificing herself for Elsa’s sake. Elsa then saves Anna with sisterly love, and the entire prophecy has come to pass. The end of the winter draws the people of Arendelle out, and they see from afar Anna and Elsa overjoyed that the other is safe and well.
And then this is long enough already and actually a giant synopsis instead of just a summary of songs, so invent your own happy epilogues people, okay, bye

currently watching punz’s mcc vod and have not gotten an ad so far so there is that
ikr??!? like their system is just so bad. I love learning, I love knowledge and knowing stuff but gosh. also half my lecturers are just not good. like all they do is read off the slides like I can do that myself :/ :(
oh god know I could never be an updates account. I don’t even know how they get half their information like how does one figure out that dream commented on some random tik tok??? I meant that I’ve been a person that has seen a tweet feom an updates account that dream is on some stream and gone to that stream. yeah I never know what’s going on cause I never have the energy to catch up with stuff I’ve missed but also I have this like need to know everything so I just have like half the information. I don’t even know how dts work on twt. like sometimes they tell people to off themselves in qrts/replies or like dm them probably too, which is so, so shitty. but yeah it’s kinda laughable how they have to censor all the words. but yeah no dts are not cool in the slightest. I’ve never gotten any of that because for the most part I have a very limited online presence and like I wouldn’t get to worried by it or anything but it’s such a shitty thing to do. god the kaveytfon thing was so ughh. and all I saw of it was clips and summary threads. yeah I get that. it’s a bit annoying cause some of my irls are gamer nerds that dislike dream cause “he cheated,” “he scripts manhunts,” “he’s bad at the game,” “he encourages his toxic stans,” and some other “anti” arguments. but what can you do. like I was just talking about minecraft once and one of them was like “oh but he so cheated” like yeah dude we’re well past that now these days we’re shitting on dream for making questionable sounds on a discord podcast /j. yeah like 100% I know dream can handle it and his friends will back him if needed I just feel really sad for him sometimes. maybe it’s just me cause I sometimes have annoyingly emotional reactions to things unnecessarily. bbh popped off with that one tweet on main.
nah we just say uni here and I didn’t know if you also said uni in america or just college. ohhh I see. we just say uni here. ohh that makes sense. and that’s pretty handy! here the only subjects I’m required to do are any that could be a possible prereqs for any major that I may choose to do. a friend of mine who is now going to college in america is doing spanish too! haha yeah my english language teacher once said something about it like two years ago and it’s never left my head ever since.
brooo no,, beets are good!! well not always but I like them in one specific sandwich that I used to have for lunch in school when I was in yr10. but they’re definitely a great plot point. ughhh I 100% agree with the silly lore stuff. it’s so fun and I love it but all the fandom does is whine. like first they’re like “oh I miss silly lore” and then they’ll get silly lore and be like oh not like that. I will never forgive people for writing of l’sandburg. I was asleep for most of it but it was still great. so true!! that was jack manifold right? smartness man ever. everything that ever happens on the dream smp is canon, there is not “semi lore” or “just a bit.” I add the “bit” argument because I’ve seen it used to excuse some c!actions recently. lmaoo yeha like I enjoy high production lore especially if they’re passionate about it but there’s just something about silly minecraft roleplay that I love. like when I first joined the fandom, it was through animatics and then watching the actual streams was so different but in a good way
no we haven’t!! it’s on the list of stuff we still don’t know about. glad to know you agree that enderwalk and c!dream and best friends. idk much about ballsmp but it looks fun and 3rd like looks cool tok like I’ve seen artwork and it interests me. and I really wanna get into hermit craft. if I do with any of them it’ll probably be hermitcraft. wait I do not know about that but that’s absolutely hilarious. I may just not remember cause I feel like I do know about it but my memory is unbelievably shoddy.
oh hahahaa I was asleep for that bit but I heard about it lol. ahahahah george and sapnap just there after dream just leaves is so funny. never fails to make me laugh/not laugh when dream just leaves that quickly. dreams been on a roll since like mcc like he’s done so much. liek today he was even on bads stream playing gartic phone !! I missed it live cause I was busy but imma watch the vod now!
alright I’ve just gotten through like the half of punz’s mcc vod that I had left and not a single ad so woooo for that!
Yooo pay to win actually wins!
Lectures are a bitch I keep falling asleep in them!! Which is bad because I always decide to try and sit up front to show dominance but I keep falling asleep
Oooh sorry I thought you meant that you ran one. Yeah no how tf to they do it??? Everything ccs do seems so fucking random??? Also my brother hates dream not because he cheated but because his fan base is bad? The only fan base you know ya little shit is me step up fucker. I am emotionally attached to dream so I understand
Calling it university isn’t super common here and I don’t think most americans even know the difference. Honesty it’s more about what the school calls itself, so like theres Harvard University & Bowdoin College but you mainly refer to them by their names anyways.
No all beets are bad and I will take 0 criticism on this they’re bad in real life and they’re bad in minecraft!!! Did I forget to add that jack manifold said that I was pretty tired when I wrote it and kinda gave up my b akjdkd. Animatics are banger but they’re just 3 times more banger when they have to be taken out of context. I just started watching 3rd life from grian’s pov and I’m enjoying it so much! The idea is super interesting also big fan of any game that has proximety chat
I miss the garlic phone thing! I had a busy day but I wanna watch it after jack & scott ylyl
