I'm so confused about all the people that have been insulting targaryen!readers and ocs as "boring" lately.

You expect me to believe that a reader/oc that has a fucked up family and can ride a dragon is somehow uninteresting...? This is a big fandom. There's room for everyone to write what they want. There's no reason for some people to be so judgemental. Fic writers are providing us with free content about our favorite characters. They are taking time out of their day to write us stories. You aren't expected to like every fic. This entitlement in fandom is ridiculous. Fanfiction writers owe you nothing. If you don't like what they write then that's your problem not theirs.

Most of these characters have hundreds of fics written for them, there is no point in dwelling on the fics you don't like. The Aemond/ofc tag on ao3 has over 2000 fics, the Aemond/reader tag has over 1000 fics, but yet I'll still see people whining in the fanfiction tags on tumblr about how a writer dared to write a reader/oc or plot they personally didn't like. Again, you are reading free content, we don't need to hear your criticisms. Not liking a fic is not some crisis we need to urgently address. You can keep your thoughts to yourself and move on to something else. My rant is over. Be kind to fic writers. Life would be miserable without them.

Also I'll be very honest some of the people on the d4dj fandom are so fucking dumb. Yes aoi presents masculine however it sometimes sounds like people haven't read any of the aoi focus stories at ALL. aoi is learning to appreciate her androgyny by herself step by step, yes, however we shouldn't forget that for years she felt forced into this role by having people say she looked masculine and didn't fit a girly appearance. Seeing aoi looking "girly" with her short hair still is something so so dear and that means so much to me and she literally looks so good. People complaining about how "they're making aoi feminine!" Literally don't care about the way her character is written and I doubt even knew she felt forced into it. Seeing aoi allowing herself to look cute and feminine shows her development and it isn't the end of the world that she's doing it once in a blue moon. Grow up and start actually reading about characters

after seeing the 40,000th video of lolitas ordering from sites like devilinspired and my-lolita-dress and seething/coping/fuming/etc, i’ve decided to make a post giving resources for better alternatives if you want to purchase from brands on taobao and receive better pricing and customer service while doing so!

they’re not necessarily evil sites that need to be boycotted per se, but they don’t exactly have a high standard for quality control (including selling design and print replicas), price gouge pretty badly, and have had less than stellar customer service, so i thought it would be better to give people resources for smarter purchasing!
