Don't Look Her In The Eyes Older Brother Sukuna AU HFBU
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You’re sitting at the front desk of the tattoo parlour, playing a lively game of Monopoly with Yuji and Megumi. The boys are engrossed in the game, laughing and teasing each other as they buy properties and collect rent. You’re enjoying the rare moment of downtime in the otherwise bustling shop.
Suddenly, the door swings open, and an unfamiliar yet irritatingly familiar figure strides in. It’s Yorozu, Sukuna’s ex-girlfriend. She has a haughty expression, and her eyes scan the room with disdain. You immediately feel a tension in the air as she approaches.
“I’m Yorozu,” she announces, her voice dripping with arrogance. “Heard of me?”
You glance up from the game, giving her a once-over. “I’d tell you what I’ve been told, but I don’t want you to start crying. Sukuna said your crying face was awful to look at.”
Sukuna, who’s been tattooing a client nearby, looks over with a smirk and pulls an exaggeratedly ugly crying face, making everyone in the room chuckle.
Yorozu’s face reddens with anger, but before she can retort, Gojo steps in with a mischievous grin. “Remember, guys, don’t look her in the eyes.”
Toji raises an eyebrow. “Why? Because we’ll turn to stone?”
Gojo shakes his head, still grinning. “No, her eyes are just really ugly.”
Geto snorts, unable to hide his laughter, while you bite back a smile. The atmosphere in the room shifts to one of amusement, the tension dissipating with each joke.
Yorozu tries to maintain her composure, but her irritation is evident. “He’ll come crawling back to me, you know.”
Toji lets out a loud laugh. “No, he won’t. You ain’t got tits like Y/N.”
Gojo jumps in, winking at you. “They’re the shop’s mascots, so they’re not going anywhere.”
Yorozu glares at you, her fists clenched at her sides. “You think you’re so special, don’t you?”
Sukuna, finishing up with his client, saunters over and wraps an arm around your shoulders. “Special? Y/N's got you beat in every department. Especially in the bedroom. You should see how she looks bent over—”
You quickly cover Yuji’s ears while Gojo covers Megumi’s, both of you laughing despite the situation. “Kuna!” you exclaim, playfully scolding him.
Yuji pulls away from your hand, wrinkling his nose. “Your perfume smells bad,” he tells Yorozu bluntly, pinching his nose for emphasis.
Megumi nods in agreement. “Yeah, you’re stinky.”
Gojo doubles over with laughter. “Looks like even the kids know what’s up.”
Yuji reaches into the Monopoly bank and hands Yorozu some fake money. “Here, for new perfume,” he says, his innocence making the gesture even funnier.
The room erupts in laughter, the adults barely able to contain themselves. Yorozu’s face twists with rage and embarrassment as she watches you laugh in her face. “You—”
Before she can finish, Toji steps forward, his expression serious. “I’d be careful. I’ve had to restrain Y/N when she hopped a counter and started beating up a man three times her size.”
You nod, crossing your arms with a grin. “And I don’t think you’d fare any better.”
Geto grins, leaning back in his chair. “Honestly, Yorozu, you’re just not worth the trouble.”
Yorozu’s eyes narrow, and she sneers at you. “You’re nothing special. Just another pretty face. Sukuna will get bored of you eventually.”
You roll your eyes, smirking. “You keep telling yourself that. Meanwhile, I’m the one he’s coming home to every night.”
“And coming in,” Sukuna adds with a wicked grin. The parlour erupts into raucous laughter at Sukuna’s comment, and even you can’t help but blush a little, nudging him playfully.
“Kuna!” you exclaim, trying to hide your embarrassment while covering Yuji’s ears. “You’re terrible!”
Gojo laughs uproariously, leaning against the counter for support. “Seriously, it’s like a soundtrack to our workday. At this rate, we should start charging admission.”
Toji, not wanting to be left out, chimes in. “Yeah, I mean, who needs a podcast when we've got live audio porn next door?”
You groan, covering your face with one hand while keeping Yuji's ears covered with the other, pressing his left ear against your leg as your hand covers his right ear. "Can we not?"
Toji shakes his head, chuckling. "I've walked in on them so many times, I might as well be part of the relationship."
Sukuna grins wickedly. "We could always use an extra set of hands, Toji."
Toji smirks, looking Sukuna up and down. “I might consider it.”
Gojo turns to Yorozu, who looks utterly flabbergasted. “We're all really close here,” he says with a grin that’s anything but innocent.
The room erupts in another round of laughter. Yorozu, clearly flustered and defeated, huffs and turns to leave. "You’re all disgusting," she snaps over her shoulder.
"Don’t let the door hit you on the way out!" Toji calls after her, still laughing.
As the door swings shut behind her, the laughter slowly subsides. Sukuna pulls you into a warm embrace, kissing the top of your head. “You handled that well, babe.”
You lean into him, smiling. “Couldn’t have done it without all of you.”
Yuji, now free from your hands, looks up at you with a grin. “We won, Y/N/N!”
Megumi nods enthusiastically. “Yeah, we beat the bad lady!”
You laugh, ruffling both boys’ hair. “Yes, we did. And we’ll always stick together, no matter what.”
Sukuna tightens his hold on you, his voice low and affectionate. “Always, baby.”
Gojo, never one to miss a beat, winks at you. “So, who’s up for another round of Monopoly?”
You shake your head, smiling. “Only if you promise to keep the jokes PG this time.”
“To be fair, they’re always PG,” Gojo says with a wink. “Pretty Good.”
Everyone groans at the bad pun, but the laughter and warmth in the room are undeniable. In the end, it’s clear that no matter what challenges come your way, you have an unbreakable bond with the people who matter most.

Tumblr media
secrets we keep c.f
plot: your sister kyra adopts a dog and you look after it only to find caitlin in your sisters house one day
warnings: none really cooney cross reader!
Tumblr media
You remember when your sister sent you a photo of her new dog Bentley you knew that you would be taking care of it most of the time.
"Kyra you do not have time for a dog!" You scolded her, using your older sister privileges "Why are you acting like you don't love him already" she fired back, pointing at the puppy who was now sleeping in your lap.
"shut up".
Now here you sat in your sister's apartment playing fetch with Bentley too busy cooing over his cuteness to hear the jingle of keys at the door.
"C'mon you little shit!" a voice emerged and you widened your eyes, that wasn't Kyra's voice but it was Australian.
Bentley ran over as your quick plan of hiding and pretending nobody was home was ruined by his small yaps.
"Bentley no!" you discouraged him, following him to the voice.
Caitlin dropped to her knees to pat the dog "fuck" she heard a mutter and she popped her head up to meet eyes with you.
"Oh I'm sorry I didn't know Kyra had any friends over" she stood up quickly "Uhm no" you chuckled out of nerves
"Sorry," you said quickly after "I'm Y/n Kyra's sister" You introduced yourself and Caitlin stepped back "I didn't know Kyra had a sister" she stated
"She doesn't want people meeting the best Cooney-Cross" you joked and the blue-eyed girl laughed.
"I'm Caitlin" she introduced herself and you smiled "I knew that, you kind of play in my sister's team both league and internationally" you smiled.
Caitlin looked around to hide her blush "So is Kyra here?" she asked and you crossed your head "She's gone to watch Charli play" you told her "So I'm on dog sitting duty"
"I was wondering how she was dealing so well with a puppy" Caitlin smirked as she remembered Kyra taking credit for the good behavior of her dog.
"What brings you about, I can message her" you said and the brunette waved you off "she accidently double booked herself, me her and Steph were supposed to go out for ice-cream but then Steph dropped out" she explained and you rolled your eyes at your sisters lack of organization.
"She does have the worst memory, she got the sports and I got the brains and our younger sister got the looks" you explained and Caitlin smiled
"I think you got some of the looks but Kyra didn't get any of it" she joked and you looked down, hiding the red on your cheeks "uh- uhm thankyou Caitlin" you smiled and laughed.
Bentley started barking at the door with his leash on the floor "I think he's ready for a walk" you explained as you both turned to him.
"during the night?" Caitlin asked and you shamelessly nodded your head "Not ideal I know but nothing ever happened to me yet so I should be fine" you explained but you could tell by the girl's furrowed brows she didn't think it was a good idea.
"Do you-" she started, shuffling on her feet "Do you want to walk him with me to the ice cream place?, not too far and he'll probably have a good sleep after" she explained and you hesitated
"Or not" Caitlin said and you smiled "No I think that's a good idea" you said and Caitlin couldn't help the smile that grew on her face.
"that's good because I had a small lunch so I could binge an ice cream" she admitted "Kyra has barely any food so an Ice cream wouldn't be so bad" you laughed and walked towards the eager puppy who started jumping on your leg in anticipation.
"Hey is okay if you grab his doggy bags from the counter?" you called out to the Australian who was stood still watching you.
"You mean 'poo' bags?"
"Doggy bags are classier" you defended as you two laughed at each other "ready?" you asked and Bentley barked as a 'yes'.
"I wasn't talking to you".
On the walk you caught yourself laughing at all the Australians jokes, even when she was called by Allana, her and your sisters teammate who was equally shocked that Kyra had a sister.
"Well have fun you two," she said before hanging up.
"So how come you live in London?" Caitlin asked and you smiled "I actually moved here about three years ago to run my own business, I always loved the atmosphere" you explained and she smiled
"How much do you miss the Australian weather?"
You groaned "so much, I can't deal with all this rain, and the snow I remember as a kid I hoped it would snow so bad but now" you stopped "that is a whole different story".
Caitlin laughed, your hands brushing together to open the ice cream door causing you both to flush red and you felt butterfly's in your stomach.
'God what am I? A teenager again' you thought to yourself.
"They have a Tim Tam flavour here" Caitlin stated and you gasped "no way" "yes way" she smirked "Well I have to get that it would be illegal if not"
"You're funnier than Kyra" she told you and you smirked "I'll be sure to tell her you said that" and she rolled her head back "she'll probably kick me with her boot"
"I give you permission to tell on her to Kim, I'll be stuck with her whining but it will be fine"
"You would do that for me" Caitlin exaggerated as you both walked out with your ice-creams, Bentley looking up at you both, wanting to sniff what was in your hands.
You laughed, bumping her shoulder lightly with yours "I think I had a better time with you than I would've with Kyra, she would've tried to eat my ice cream before I had a chance to even try it"
You smiled at the compliment "to be fair I did want to try your flavour" you told her "and if I had hung out with you as much as Kyra I possibly would have done the same thing" you smiled, slightly defending your sister.
But Caitlin smiled "Wanna swap? You can try mine and I try yours?" she asked and you nodded "yeah" you nodded and you swapped, almost being near to Kyra's apartment.
You both finished your ice-creams, taking a photo of the view you had, Caitlin even took one of you and Bentley in front of a random street name with your name on it.
After asking for your permission she posted it on her story.
When you arrived back you both stood in front of Kyra's door "that was fun" you started and the girl nodded "yeah I wouldn't mind doing that again" she said and you smiled "me too".
"Can I uhm-" Caitlin started, shuffling her feet same as she did when she asked for you too walk with her "Can I have your number?" she asked and you nodded "yes" you nodded and took her phone from her hand.
"I'm always free Thursday nights" you told her with a slight smirk "me too" she smiled
"Cool, It's a date".

It was little past five on a Tuesday afternoon, a soft breeze of the incoming sunset passed by the crowded streets of Tokyo, offering everyone a small relief after such a hot day. You were in your usual spot; behind the counter, with your back against it, fanning yourself with one of the menus, trying to get some relief from the hot weather inside the café you work at. Your friend, Nobara, stood in front of you, drying some glasses that had just been washed by you.
The bell on the entry door rang, announcing new customers, making your eyes roll, without even bothering enough to see who it was, your shift would end in an hour and you just wanted to leave soon.
You were just about to ask Nobara to take their orders when she spoke up.
"Your guy is here" a smirk appeared on her lips.
Turning around just in time to see him passing through the door, pink hair and dark tattoos catching the attention of many customers around him. He smirked at you, like he usually did. His black t-shirt did nothing to hide the toned muscles he had underneath it, making a smirk form on your lips as well.
Forgetting completely about your previous annoyance, you stretched your pink 60s inspired uniform dress and picked your small notepad, walking towards his table.
He was here with his friends, all of them talking loudly about something that had happened on their way to the café. He looked so cool with his silver chain and knuckle rings along with his black jeans. Smoking hot, you would dare to say.
He looked like the type of guy you should avoid, the type of guy you can’t take home to meet your parents and that is going to cause a lot of damage in your life. All the red flags were there, but you just didn’t mind them, after all, red was your favorite color.
"Welcome to Shibuya’s café, what can I get you?"
You wrote down their orders as the white-haired started telling you, but you couldn't help but notice the way the pink haired guy looked you up and down, like a wolf eyeing his prey.
"Alright, I'll be right back."
You felt his burning gaze on your back the entire way back to the counter and you more than quickly made sure to get their orders done.
"Anything else you might want?" A bright smile left your lips.
"That's all for today, princess." The pink haired answered with a grin.
It was always like this. They started coming to the café a few months ago, every time the guy would call you a nickname or smirk at you. You would smirk back, or ask if they wanted something else, looking right into his eyes, just for the pleasure to see the lust that spackled on them.
The sexual tension between the two of you was so thick you could almost cut it with a knife. Sometimes you wanted to bluntly ask for his number, or write yours and hand it to him, but you never got the guts, since all his friends were around.
You went back to work, attending other tables, making coffee, cleaning the counter, but at every chance you got, you would look in his direction and sure enough, he would be looking at you.
"You're gonna keep this mouse and cat game 'till when?" Nobara spoke up, making you jump startled.
"What do you mean?"
"Why don't you just ask him for his number?"
"Because I'm working! If Yaga sees me doing that, he’s gonna scold me for good. Second, his friends are there, what if he says no and all of them start laughing at me!?"
"You're just overthinking it!" She said, rolling her eyes. "If work’s the problem, why don't you meet him somewhere else?"
"As if it were easy to find him amongst all the people in Tokyo."
"I actually might know where he's gonna be on Friday…." She said with a smirk, leaning against the counter and raising her brows.
----
You stared at yourself in the mirror, admiring the job Nobara had done on you, your hair and makeup were flawless and the outfit she picked highlighted the best parts of your body. The short black dress hugged all your curves and the black high heels gave you an elegant posture.
“If you don’t get that guy tonight, you surely will get someone hotter.” She giggled, looking at you through the mirror. “Damn, we look fucking hot! I did an excellent job” A proud smirk appearing on her lips.
“You sure did!” You giggled a little, checking the time on your cell phone. “Shit, we gotta get going.”
Entering the club wasn’t hard at all, just flashing the bodyguard a wink and a cute smile and the two of you were in. Going straight to the bar you ordered two Sex On The Beach, waiting for the barman to make them.
"Woah! I know you two!" You heard a man saying from beside you. It was the tall white-haired guy from the café.
"Hey there!" Nobara said smiling.
"Are you girls having fun?" His smile was so bright it almost put the club’s light to shame.
"We just got here, actually!" She shouted through the music.
"Wanna sit with us? We got a table." He shouted back.
You two exchanged looks before nodding in his direction.
“I’ll have four beers, and put those drinks on us too.” He told the bartender, pointing to your drinks that he had just finished.
"Look who I found at the bar!" He caught the attention from the other men at the table, while putting the beers on it. "Girls, I'm Gojo, this is Geto, that dude’s Sukuna and the grumpy one here is Nanami." He said pointing to each one of them, receiving an eye roll from Nanami in response.
So his name is Sukuna huh? It fits him. You thought to yourself.
"I'm y/n and this is Nobara!"
They greeted you two loudly and then asked you girls to take a seat. Watching as Sukuna and Geto opened up some space for you girls to sit. You sat beside Sukuna while Nobara and Gojo sat beside Geto.
"I've never seen you here." Sukuna’s voice reached you, his lips so close to your ears that you felt goosebumps on your arms. His voice making you lose your focus on Nobara’s conversation with Gojo and turn your head towards him
"It's actually my first time here."
He nodded, looking you up and down. "It's nice seeing you without that pink dress on."
You smiled in his direction, taking his beer bottle for a sip when he offered you.
After a good thirty minutes, Gojo came back with vodka shots, which made you all engage in conversation easier, talking about work and old stories from the high school era.
Sukuna put his arm around your shoulder, looking at you, to see if you would ask him not to do so. But after seeing your smile, he knew it would be a great night. An hour passed by, and another three shots of vodka with it. Doja Cat blasted through the speakers and you and Nobara decided to go dance.
You moved your body with the beat, swaying your hips and singing out loud. Your body started to get hot, and you looked at the table seeing Sukuna's predator gaze on you, making your core start heating as well.
Another song started playing, and that's when you saw the guys approaching you. You all started dancing together as good friends would, but after a few minutes, you found yourself dancing suggestively around Sukuna, loving the way his eyes watched your hips.
You decided to make a move and turned around, pressing yourself on him while still dancing, rubbing yourself against his body. His hands found your hips as you two swayed to the song together, making it impossible for you not to feel his bulge against you, a smirk crepting your lips.
Suddenly his hands moved to your waist and he turned you around; your faces inches apart as one of your hands found the back of his neck, pulling him closer to give him a hungry kiss.
His tongue asked for permission, which you gladly allowed, feeling his muscle explore every inch of your mouth. The kiss was heated and hungry as his hand soon found your ass, bringing you impossibly closer to him.
Leaning down near your ear his lips brushed against your earlobe as he spoke. “What about we go to the bathroom?”
"Why not?" You looked up at him with innocent eyes and he just knew he couldn’t wait any longer.
Grabbing your hand he led you towards the bathroom, opening the door for you to enter first, before attacking your lips again. This kiss was even faster, the two of you desperate for more as he guided you towards one of the bathroom’s booths, closing the door behind him, trying to lock it between hair tugs and muffled moans.
Finally locking it, he pushed your back against it, allowing you a few seconds of breath before his lips found yours again. His hands went to the back of your thighs, giving them a little slap, silently asking you to jump, which you gladly did, wrapping your legs around his waist as his hands found your butt again, this time to support you.
His mouth traveled from your lips to your jaw, before finally stopping at your neck. Applying you sloppy wet kisses as he lowered the top part of your dress to play with your nipples.
He squeezed one of them harshly, earning a gasp from you as you tug at his hair.  His lips attacked your other nipple, sucking and biting on it until you were a panting mess.
Moving one of your hands down to his pants, you pressed your palm on his bulge through the fabric, making a gasp leave his lips as Sukuna grabbed your hand and pushed it inside his pants, demanding for more.
You gladly opened his jeans, pulling his member out of his tight black boxers and giving it a few gentle strokes, wanting to tease him. Your delicate fingers going up and down him gently as you used your thumb to spread some of his precum on his delicate pink tip.
A low growl left his lips as his hands squeezed your waist tight enough to make you moan slightly. One of Sukuna’s hands went down to your core, circling your pulsating clit through the fabric of your panties, smirking as he felt your wetness reach his fingers.
“Already this wet for me, princess?”
Sukuna hungrily kissed your jaw as he put your panties to the side, and his middle finger traveled between your folds, getting wet with your liquids before entering you slowly.
You moaned as he entered another finger inside of you, scissoring your insides and curling them to reach that specific spot he knew would have you trembling.
“So tight… can’t wait to feel this pussy around my cock”
His dirty words made you moan again as you clenched around his fingers.
“You like it when I talk like this to you? Uh? Like it when I talk to you like a whore?”
He finally found your spot, sending you to a state of bliss as you could feel your orgasm approaching you. You got so caught in the moment, that you had to take your hand out of his pants to put it on his shoulder for support, not sure if you could trust your legs anymore.
Sukuna increased his movements,  watching intently as your eyes rolled back and your legs started to tremble around him. A wave of ecstasy hitting you completely as your wall clamped around his fingers.
The pink-haired removed his fingers from you, making you whine at the loss of sensation. You watched as he took his fingers to his lips, sucking them without breaking eye contact with you.
His red eyes were almost brown now, and his pupils were dilated with lust. He kissed you one more time, letting you taste yourself on his tongue before he pushed your dress up to your waist and unbolted his pants entirely, moving his hands up and down his length a few times.
"You sure?" He asked, gaze burning your eyes.
"Yes!" You kissed him again, wrapping your arms around his neck to pull him closer to you.
That's when you felt his member collecting some of your juices before sliding slowly inside of you, making you moan slightly. He waited for a while after bottoming out, letting you get adjusted to his size, before he started to thrust at a slow pace in and out of you.
Both of your moans could be heard in the entire bathroom. Your hands were lost in his locks, pulling them making him groan like a feral beast. One of his hands supported him against the door behind you, while the other  found your clit, applying circular and precise motions on it.
“Sukuna… more, please!”
His once calm thrusts became fast and hard and you were sure anyone in the bathroom would be able to hear the sound of his balls slapping against your ass. Sukuna straightened up a little, which gave him a whole new angle that hit your sweet spot instantly, making you let go of a loud moan.
"Yes! Right there" you managed to say between moans, as he promptly obeyed, hitting your core even harder.
At this point your bodies were sweating and your moans were louder than ever, his thrusts were becoming sloppier and his constant abuse to your sweet spot made your wall start to clench around him one more time as Sukuna groaned hungrily.
"I'm gonna- I’m gonna cum!" You announced, feeling the pleasure take control of your body. Your eyes closed and your head fell back, hitting the door, while a series of moans and incoherent words left your mouth.
"Yes, baby, cum for me!" Sukuna applied more pressure to his thumb on your clit, making the loudest moan to leave your throat. "Come on, doll, cum for me!"
His thrusts became faster and you felt a wave of pure pleasure take over your body as you hit your climax a second time that night, moaning out his name. He thrust inside of you a couple more times before he came too, biting hard on your shoulder to muffle his loud groan. Shots of his cum filling you up to the brum, while you moan with the sensibility of your core after your orgasm.
Sukuna held you for a few more seconds before he placed you gently on the floor, your hands still on his shoulders, to make sure you weren't gonna fall.
"Fuck" you said, adjusting your hair.
"Yeah, fuck!" He said, laughing a little, while he adjusted his pants again.
You two opened the door, glad to see that there wasn't anyone else in the bathroom.
You moved towards the sink, looking at your reflection in the mirror. Your hair was a mess, your makeup all smudged, your neck full of red marks that you were sure would become bruises soon. You quickly fixed your dress and your hair, trying to fix your makeup in the best way you could, while he fixed his hair too.
"So…" He cleared his throat. "Will I see you again?... Out of the cafe, I mean."
You smiled at him a little, before looking for a pen in your purse. "Maybe…" you smiled suggestively now. "Why don't you call me someday and we find out?"
You grabbed his hand, writing down your number on it.
"You can be sure I'll call you, princess." He whispered against your ear. “Are you ready?"
You nodded and so the two of you left the bathroom and went back to your previous table, laughing at the shouts and whistling coming from your friends.

imagine, little boatem vampires Pearl ends up wandering outside, whoever was watching her looked away just for a second and when they turned back around she was just, gone. of course everyone immediately all starts freaking out and frantically searching for her. she turns up of course, perfectly fine but hours later, just outside the house.
You didn't ask for writing but I wanted to write anyway.
vampires!au rambles
“She's gone,” the first words that leave Grian's mouth after he rushes– breathless and terrified, paler than Mumbo– into the house make Impulse immediately snap to attention, nearly dropping the book he was reading. He jumps to his feet, eyes wide as he quickly sets the book down and crosses the room to Grian. “I just– I looked away, for one second I swear–!”
“Calm down,” Impulse soothes, reaching out and resting a hand on Grian's arm. “Take a deep breath. Tell me what happened.”
Grian leans against the counter, chest heaving. “Pearl and I were outside, and she was playing like normal, and I decided to just look away for a second and now she's gone and I can't find her anywhere and her scent just–” He throws up his hands to run them through his hair angrily– “gone! Somehow she's just disappeared!”
Impulse swallows, taking in the information as he nods. “Okay. Okay. Go get Scar and Mumbo, we're going to go look for her.”
With an urgency the vampires hadn't felt since the time Pearl got sick for the first time, they split up and began to search through their house, yard, and then the surrounding territory. The full moon lit their way as they searched the forest, a soft glow illuminating the leaves a silvery green. Light wasn't necessary, given that they were all able to see in the dark, but it certainly did help.
The moon was high in the sky by the time the vampires regrouped, still without Pearl and no clue as to where she went or how she disappeared.
Grian bites back tears as he leans against Mumbo, who gazes down at him anxiously. “This is all my fault,” he whimpers, sniffling softly.
Scar frowns, brow creasing as he wraps an arm around Grian's shoulders. “It's okay, Gri. We'll find her. She can't have gone far. We might've just missed her.” He doesn't sound convinced. He wants to be, though.
Impulse slowly nods. “We should keep looking. She has to be around here somewhere.”
Hours pass as they continue their search, ending unsuccessfully back at the house as the moon begins to set. Grian is sobbing openly, gasping out apologies as Mumbo tries to comfort him, and Impulse and Scar begin quietly discussing calling Gem to see if she could help find their lost daughter.
The sun begins to peak over the horizon, and with it an excited giggle rings out over the yard. The vampires jump, looking up to see Pearl, looking none the worse for the wear and bouncing on her feet.
Grian runs to her so quickly he's just a blur, scooping her up with a shout. “Pearlie! Oh, oh, Pearl, don't you ever do that again!” he scolds through tears, holding her close.
Pearl whines softly and leans her head against Grian's shoulder as the rest of the vampires join him, looking up at her family with big eyes. She seems to understand that something is wrong, and her happiness turns to sorrow and remorse. “...sorry,” she mumbles, before pressing her face into Grian's shoulder.
Impulse sighs fondly, gently ruffling her short hair. “Oh man. It's okay, Pearl,” he reassures her, not wanting her to get too upset, “you went on a big adventure, huh? Are you a little sleepy, then?”
Pearl nods, kicking her feet slightly. “Yeah...” she mumbles, snuggling further against Grian. “Wanna nap.”
Impulse nods and looks up at Grian. “Do you want me to take her, or do you wanna get her to bed?”
Grian gently bounces Pearl in his arms, rocking from side to side. “I'll do it,” he murmurs, his eyes never leaving Pearl.
Impulse shares looks with Scar and Mumbo before nodding once more. “Alright. Thanks, G.”
Pearl doesn't ever do that again, but the vampires never forget the scare they had that night.

quick story sorry for the errors.
"Jack you should confess to her...I've finally come to terms with knowing you don't love me. I was being delusional the entire time." Mina said to Jack with tears threatening to spill. She knew that you were always on his mind. A month after she worked for him. She noticed he always made sure he had what looked like a special card in his jacket. She thought it was a special duel card that was very special to him until he had left his coat on the couch. When she lifted the coat the photo of you slipped out. She picked it up and so many questions went through her mind.
Who's she?
Is that one of his childhood friends no one knows of?
Should I research her?
Could that be his sister? (no different colored hair.)
Maybe she lives here in Domino city?
His girlfriend? definitely not otherwise he would've asked Goodwin for the approval to bring you to Domino City secretly.
"Don't touch my things! I don't want to have to tell you again." Jack scolded her. He was very angry. "Yes sir...Is she family?" Mina asked hoping you were. He looked out the window, towards where Domino City is located. " No she's not family," he replied. That made her upset yet motivated to keep her game on.
"I am. It's about time. I can't lose her to anyone else. She's mine and always will be." he replied grabbing his helmet, and leaving his penthouse. He drove to your house and on the way he stopped to pick up your favorite food with a nice scarf. He parked and knocked on your door. Shuffling was heard. The door opened revealing no other than Yusei. The last person he wants to see at your house before confessing to you. "Is y/n here? I need to see her." you popped up out of nowhere. "Hey, I'm right here. What's up?" you said. Your eyes were sparkling and your cheeks were rosy as always. Jack gave Yusei a look that said leave us alone. He did. "I've been wanting to talk to you about something very important and I can't wait," he said. You walked into the kitchen with him. "Talk to me." you were nervous. Praying that it's nothing horrible. You grabbed your stool to get on the counter and sit down. "I..well...We grew up together and we've many special memories. Even after we separated there wasn't a day I didn't think of you. You are my past my present and hopefully my future. I'm blessed to know such a kind and beautiful human being. I love you y/n. I'm so in love with you." he confessed holding your hands with a grip. You felt your tears slip. Crying. This is all you've ever wanted, for Jack to love you. He held you as you jumped into his arms off the counter. You were trembling softly as you wrapped your legs around his waist .Overwhelmed with love and all the memories you've made coming back to you. "I'm in love with you too Jack." He smiled finally being able to say that he was yours. " Mine. All mine. My Jack Atlas." you commented playing with his hair as you stared into each other's eyes. "Yes, y/n. I'm all yours. Forever and Always." he said. Tears slipped as you made out passionately. Yusei caught a glimpse and decided it was best for him to leave. He knew you needed privacy. He was happy his Best friend finally found happiness.
'I'm so lucky to have you y/n." Jack said. You giggled and said, "I'm lucky to have you as well Jack. Who knows maybe I'll get even more luck one day to be called Mrs. Atlas." you replied. He blushed. HE BLUSHED. JACK ATLAS BLUSHED. "Yeah. I plan on giving you my last name. y/n Atlas. Its perfect." he replied.
Please leave a like if you enjoyed the story. Theres more to come.
I take requests.

Hi, i've been thinking about this prompt for a while, would you be able to write a story with Tara disappearing because something happened (you choose) and sam finding her at her favourite hiding spot that only she knew.
i love all of your works, and if you don't like this- or just don't feel like writing it, feel free to ignore it.
“June”
——————————————————-
Sam dumped her keys into the counter and threw her purse onto the floor. What a long fucking day.
First, she gets fryer oil all over her work shirt, so she smells like a fucking big Mac all day.
Second, she gets rear-ended by some asshole who couldn’t wait two fucking minutes for her to pull out of her parking spot.
And finally, therapy got canceled. Again. Her therapist was having a baby or something. Whatever.
So here she was, greasy and rageful, just wanting a cold shower and some time with her sister.
Sam padded down the hallway, peeking into the sisters’ bedroom. They had a two-bedroom apartment, but after New York, they both slept in the same room. The spare bedroom was for the twins when they wanted to sleep over. It all worked out nicely.
Expecting to find Tara on her computer in bed, Sam mindlessly jumped onto the mattress. She popped her head up in confusion when she was not met with scolding or a pillow to the face. Patting the bed, she noticed it was cold—no sign of her sister.
“Tara?” she said, puzzled at the emptiness that met her voice. It was the afternoon. Tara’s online class ended a half-hour ago. She should be around here somewhere.
Tampering down the anxiety in her stomach, Sam got up and started looking. She wasn’t in the closets, which was a relief- they had finally broken her random sleep locations. There was no sign of her in the bathroom, or the shower, or the bathroom cabinets. Tara wasn’t even in the living room or spare bedroom. Everything was cold. Untouched. As if she hadn’t been there before.
With her hands shaking, Sam dialed the twins, hoping Tara had just decided to see them. She would chastise her sister for not texting or calling, or leaving a note, but overwhelming relief will take over first.
“Hey. Yeah. Hi Mindy. Have you seen- yes, Hi Chad. No, I don't have money for the arcade. Yes, I'm sure. Like I was saying, have you seen Tara? No? No reason. She just is taking forever at the store. Yeah, I’ll call when she gets back. I love you guys. Bye,” she mumbled, hanging up the phone in defeat.
Deep down, she was ready to call the national guard. The marines. The navy seals. Reaching into her pockets, she had one hand on her taser and the other on her knife. Ready to kill.
But before she got ready to change into an outfit that was okay to get blood on it, she remembered.
The spot.
Tara was drifting lately, and Sam could tell. Each time her sister disappeared, Sam could track her down to the spot. They nicknamed it that because she always ends up finding Tara there.
Padding down the hallway, Sam gently made her way to the kitchen.
Bending down, she opened the cupboard underneath the sink. Sure enough, there was Tara. All curled up in a ball and sleeping deeply.
Sighing, she gently maneuvered her sister out, careful not to bump her head. Tara hid under the kitchen cupboard when she was drifting away. She had once mentioned that it made her feel secure and contained.
Lucky that she told Sam; otherwise, she was sure she would be on a carnal rampage.
Carrying Tara back to their room, Sam gently sat her on the bed. While Tara lay asleep, Sam quickly changed out of her work clothes and into pajamas.
Through trial and error, Sam found out that the best way to wake up Tara was to fall asleep next to her; both waking up as if they had just fallen asleep together. She figured that Tara deserved to wake up in a safe and warm place in Sam’s eyes.
As she moved Tara into a more comfortable place, she shifted into her own. The girls were nose-to-nose, one sleeping and the other watching her closely. Sam reached out and tucked Tara's hair behind her baby sister’s ear.
She would wait for Tara for a thousand years. She would wait for her sister until the world ended. Anything for her baby sister. Anything for the love of her life.
Closing her eyes, Sam drifted off, excited to wake up next to Tara.

Her Song (Florence Pugh)
I bop my head along to the song playing over the shop's sound system. My best friend, Ash, watches amusedly as I jam out to "Gimme Shelter" by the Rolling Stones while washing the counter.
"Stop staring and get back to work, Ashlynn," I instruct in a sing-song voice.
"I am working," she retorts, gesturing to the espresso machine she's cleaning. "Maybe you should get back to work."
"I'm multitasking. Besides, I own the place; I don't have to work if I don't want to."
She sticks her tongue out at me and I flip her off, ending our playful banter. Ash was the first friend I made when I moved to New York City, and we've practically been inseparable ever since. Despite her technically being my employee, she's more like a co-owner of the shop. We're partners in crime. Well, if selling records, books, and beverages counts as crime.
The gentle patter of rain on the roof relaxes me as I work. To most people, a day full of clouds and rain is automatically a bad one, but I love the rain. There's just something about sitting inside with a book in a candle-lit room while it rains; it feels like home. That's exactly the atmosphere I try to create in the shop; on days like this, I always dim the lights, light some candles, and lower the volume of the music.
My regulars love it, I love it, Ash loves it, and Syd loves it. Speaking of Syd: "Syd, honey, where are you?" I call out.
The five-year-old girl peaks her head around one of the bookshelves and says, "Right here, Momma. I like this book." I squint my eyes to read the cover. War and Peace.
"Syd, put that book back. You're a smart kid, but you aren't nearly old enough to read that. At least wait until you're ten," I tell her. I know she won't be reading War and Peace when she's ten, but a little childhood false hope never hurt anybody.
"Fine," she grumbles, putting the large book back where she found it.
"Thank you."
"Momma, can I watch Shrek on the big TV?"
"Sure, just keep the volume low." There's an area with a TV and a couple of bean bag chairs, and that's usually where she likes to hang out. I don't mind as long as she doesn't disturb the customers.
She quickly gets lost in the movie and a smile at her Shrek impression as she quotes the movie.
"Y/N, can you go out back and grab more napkins to fill the dispenser?" Ash asks from behind the cafe counter.
I nod and make my way through the employees-only door that leads out back. As I'm opening a box of napkins, I can hear the bell that signals the front door opening, followed by a faint conversation that I can't really hear through the walls. I'm a bit surprised that we have a customer, considering the light rain had passed and now it's pouring outside.
I grab a package of napkins and walk back out. I don't pay much attention to my surroundings as I fill the dispenser. But when I'm finished, my jaw drops at the customer standing in an aisle of records. Is that Florence Pugh?
I clear my throat and quickly regain my composure, although I'm still freaking out on the inside. She's just a person, I think to myself. No need to freak out or anything.
The song ends and "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac comes on. I smile and mouth along to the lyrics as I busy myself with organizing the book section of the store.
I risk a glance at the woman and see her singing softly with a small smile. I bite my lip to contain a laugh at the way she subtly dances to the music.
"Whatcha doin?"
"Oh Jesus!" I jump, covering my racing heart with my hand as I recover from the scare. "Don't do that, Ash," I scold with a slap to her shoulder.
"Are you stalking the customer?" she whispers. "I mean, she's hot and you should definitely go for it, but this is kinda creepy."
"I'm not stalking her!" I whisper-yell. "I'm...reorganizing the books."
"Uh-huh. Reorganizing the books while watching her sing along to one of your favorite songs with a dumbass smile on your face," she deadpans.
"Shut up."
"You're just mad 'cause you know I'm right," she says before walking away. I roll my eyes at her childish antics.
"Excuse me, I was wondering if you have anything by Paramore? All of my American friends are telling me that I need to listen to their music and I was just walking by and I thought 'well, why not' so here I am," she rambles, her accent shining through each of her words.
"Oh, uh, yeah, of course! We've got tons of Paramore," I stutter out, leading her to the section I've dubbed the 'emo corner.'
"So, we've got Riot, Brand New Eyes, and Paramore. If you want any of their other albums, I can order 'em and have them in by the end of the week," I tell her.
"Well, what would you recommend? I'm not very familiar with this genre, and I've no idea where to start," she inquires with a sweet half-smile.
"Oh, jeez, well I grew up on this stuff, so...I think I would recommend Riot. It's got a lot of my personal favorites."
I gently pull the vinyl off the shelf and hand it to her. She looks it over and nods her head. "Then this is the one I'll get. Thank you very much."
"It's my pleasure. Will that be all today?"
"Yes. Actually, maybe some Yorkshire tea if you have it?"
"We most certainly do," I confirm as I lead her to the checkout counter, which is a few feet away from the cafe counter. "Ash, Yorkshire tea," I call out. She doesn't respond and I look over to see her smiling down at her phone. I love that girl, but sometimes I want to smack her upside the head.
"Ashlynn! Éteigne ton téléphone et fais du thé pour cette femme!" I yell at her (translation: turn off your phone and make tea for this woman). Her head snaps up at the angry French and she gives me a sheepish smile before getting Florence's tea started.
I look back over to Florence, who is looking at me with raised eyebrows and laughing silently. I shake my head with a smirk and ring her up. Ash brings the tea over and gives it to Florence. While she's distracted, I flip over the receipt and write "'For a Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic' is my favorite on this album :)"
I hand her the receipt and we exchange a quick goodbye before she walks out of the store. I sigh with a small smile, convincing myself that actually just happened.
"Did you write your number on the receipt?" Ash asks excitedly.
"What? No," I deny. "I wrote a song recommendation."
"Well that's boring. You had the perfect opportunity," she complains.
I shrug my shoulders and laugh at her displeasure with my lack of flirting.
"Momma, was that your girlfriend?" Syd yells from her spot in a beanbag chair.
"No, Sydney, she's not my girlfriend. I don't even know her. Go back to your movie."
She turns back around and resumes the movie with little enthusiasm. Kids.

Can I just say, fuck this piece of writing. It took me too long. I wrote and then deleted paragraph after paragraph. I love Gojo. But I think he & I might need some time apart.
Also, NOTHING about this bastard of a story turned out like I said it would. That being said, I'm sorry people... please don't lose faith in me 😆. I'm trying!

In Stitches
You were his favorite seamstress. And it was no secret. Once, when you were out, the store owner told the man that his husband could stitch up the thrashed garment. "Sir, I assure you, my husband is the finest in his entire family. 6 generations of tailors, and he is the best yet." The tall man laughed a short but hearty chuckle, "First, 'sir' sucks. You know my name is Gojo. I'm in here all the time. Secondly, I don't give a shit if your husband makes the Lord Baby Jesus robes. I only want y/n to work on my uniforms. Yeah? When will she be back?" The owner knew this man was quite taken with you, but now he could see this for what it really was. "Y/n," the owner cleared his throat." Y/n will be back in 3 minutes. She's on her lunch break."
●Exactly 3 minutes later, because you were timely if you were anything, you tapped the owner on his shoulder and smiled sweetly, "I'm back now. Thank you."
●You recognized the man's voice as you clocked back in. Of course, you did. You always prayed to the old gods and the new that he'd have some terrible clothing mishap and fall at your feet, grabbing at the fullest part of your ass, burying his face where your thighs meet, begging for you to sew him back together. *His clothes back together. You had to correct yourself a lot.
● His bright eyes bore down on you, shrouded behind dark glasses. He was watching you before you realized it. Finally, you were able to raise your eyes to meet his. As you picked through the shreds of cloth, you breathed in his cologne. What you wouldn't give to press your face to his bare chest.
● You looked out the wide storefront window, sighing heavily. "Fuck. I bet it's soft. Soft and hard. And warm," you said in a whisper. Gojo looked at you and smiled. "What was that, sweetheart?"
● "OH! I, I, I was just, uhm. H-how did your clothes get so torn this time?" You asked with the confidence of a scared church mouse. He bent over and placed his elbow on the counter, and put his chin in the palm of his hand. He flashed you a cheeky smile. One look from him, and that's all it takes to turn you to mush as you're waiting to hear the backstory. "Or should I ask who got on your bad side?" You want to get on his bad side.
● His sudden laugh shook you from your hallucinations about what his chest would feel like against your cheek. Ok, really, it was your mouth. Your *tongue* and your mouth. You jumped back a little. "Oh, oh shit. Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you ..." He shifted his eyes to the pile of clothes your hands rested on, "Well, I just ... I gotta go. Fight someone ... or ... something."
"Why did I jump like that! Now he thinks I'm this jumpy idiot," you thought , scolding yourself.
● He put his large hand over yours and leaned over the counter close to your face. "KISS ME. MARRY ME. FUCK ME." You thought. Damn it, you're blushing. "Have a great day, sweetheart. I'll be back in a few days to pick these up. Unless I happen to run into you sooner?" He squeezed your hand, and the doorbell rang and brought you back to this stupid reality from the one where his hand was touching yours. Just in time to see that he'd already disappeared into the world.
● It was 5:58 pm. and time to close the shop. You could wait until 6:00 exactly. But you were in a hurry to get home, lock yourself up, close the shades, and plow through the clothes that he brought you. You could afford a discrepancy or two. Or three.
● Driving into the rainy night headed for home you hit a red light right off the bat. And usually, you hate them. All they do is hold you up. But, the bag. Gojo's bag. The bag of his clothes sitting in the passenger seat keeps calling to you. Pleading its case to be picked up and stuffed against your body. It wants you to sniff at it. You reached your hand over to open it up but a car honked behind you. Once again, bringing you back around to this side of reality. "Bahhh! Fuck. Sor-sorry!" You wave, "Im goin', I'm goin'. Jesus."
● You got home around 6:15. Parked in your spot and made a run for it. The rain was coming down so hard. Sliding your key into the doorknob and letting yourself inside, you drop everything you're carrying but the bag of clothes. "Now, where were we when we were so rudely interrupted?" You poured yourself a glass of peach moscato, grabbed the bottle, the bag, and set to work in your sewing area in the spare bedroom.
● "Shirt. Ok. Let's, let's get this ... Oh my god." You sank down in your chair, feeling 10 times more drunk from the smell. His scent was emanating from the bag. It was so strong that you wondered if he purposely sprayed extra cologne on the uniform before bringing it in to you.
● His scent hit you like a fucking semi and he weighed heavily on your mind. You considered going back to work to look through the old receipts for his phone number to lure him to you like one of those crocodiles that hides just under the surface of the water and waits for their prey to start drinking. Then they snap their jaws around the unsuspecting creatures neck. You wanted to snap your mouth around Gojo's cock. Gently, of course.
● You realized you'd probably be better off staying home. You finished his shirt, the last of the bottle, and took another hefty whiff. "Iiii-ahhh ... I want to shower. You're coming with me, though," You said to the shirt. Surely, you could just hang it over the door and smell it without getting it wet.
● In your bedroom, you slipped out of your clothes. On your way to the shower, you stopped in front of your full-length mirror and looked at yourself. "Something ... missing." You slipped Gojo's shirt over your arms and pulled it, as closed as it would go, around your tits. The fabric was softer than it looked. "Oh OH HI. I'm Gojo and I'll be your fuck toy for the night." Shaking your head you continued to check yourself out.
● It was a little snug on you, but still cute. It hung just above the round curve on the bottom of your ass. The sleeves were floppy on your shorter arms. "Fuck. I wish he was here." You felt the slick gather between your legs as you walked to the shower. Your desire for him was becoming bothersome.
● Before you started the shower water, you went to make sure your door was locked. You were in such a hurry to get inside and start pawing through his clothes that you didn't pay much attention. Halfway to the door, there was a quiet knock. You stopped in your tracks. "Who the fuck?" You whispered. "What, what time is it?" A glance at the clock. It was 1:28 a.m. and everyone you know doesn't come by your place unannounced because they know it pisses you off to have drop-in visitors.
● Another series of knocks. "Y/n?" The familiar voice whispered up against the heavy door. GOJO. "It's, it's Goj– Satoru Gojo. Are you awake? You, you remember me from–" You were awake, a little drunk, very horny for the white-haired man on the other side of your door, and a lot naked, save for his shirt. You could've changed into a robe. But the wine gave you false confidence. So, you decided to do the only thing there was to do; you were going to open the door.
● How many times have you prayed for this. Begged any God or anything, really, to grant you this one fucking wish. You took a breath for courage and walked toward the door.
● "Gojo? What are you doing here?" You hung your head laughing at this person you've become. You heard him laughing, too. "Fantastic." You said quietly. "Can I help you with something?"
● "Yes, yeah, you can. I was going home, and I tore my favorite pair of pants on a fence when I was running from a vicious dog. And then I climbed it, and boom. Torn. I was hoping you could repair them? They're my favorite pair. Did you hear that ‐"
● You opened the door. His lurid eyes peeked over the top of his dark sunglasses and burned into you. "That part." He finished his sentence. "Well, well, well. What have we here? Is that my shirt you're wearing?" You blushed and opened your mouth to say something. "No need to talk, doll. You told me everything I needed to know." Just seeing you in his uniform got him halfway hard. "I wasn't going to explain myself. I was going to ask why you had to climb a fence to outrun a vicious dog." You looked at him suspiciously and he just smirked.
● "Can I come in thanks." He stepped around you and into your apartment and looked around. "Would you mind telling me why this couldn't wait until Monday? Y'know. When I was at work?" He began undoing his belt. "Whoa there ... what the hell are you doing?" You asked almost breathlessly. You both knew you wanted him to continue to take his pants off. He just smiled at you and proceeded to unbutton and unzip his them. Stepping out of them, he bunched them up into his large hand and tossed them to you. "Here."
● "Yep. Got it. I'll fix 'em right up. Tomorrow. "You said more loudly than you had intended. "Goodnight, Satoru Go–" You had the resolve of a goldfish when you were trying to uproot the words to ask him to leave. But you didn't want him to go. "No, no, no, sweetheart. I think ... yes. I want you to put them on." Gojo gestured to the pants twisted around in your fingers.
● "Sorry, you what? You want me to put your pants on? Am I understanding this correctly?" He looked at you like he couldn't understand why it was such a hard pill to swallow. "Yes, y/n. Put. The. Pants. On." You shook them out in front of you to have a look at the legs. They smelled exactly like his shirt you had, only better because they were still warm from his body. "These won't fit me. This isn't that traveling pants movie where the girl with the biggest ass of her friends group miraculously squeezed into them." You laughed way too hard at your comparison.
● He cocked his head and you stopped giggling at yourself. "Wha– traveling pants? What the fuck are you talking about? My pants are homebodies. Just put the damn things on, y/n." You sat down on the arm of your couch to help balance you, laughing at the fact he called his pants homebodies. "Ok, ok." You were still a little tipsy.
●Slipping the pants over your left foot first, he watched you push it out of the leg opening. "Next foot." You stuck your right leg through and steadied your feet on the floor to pull them up to your waist.
● He smiled at you in his clothing. Your arms and legs drowning in the sea of cloth. The thread holding the buttons over your chest forced to give a little. The waist of the pants is not big enough to cover your curves. But you looked so sexy to him struggling like this. Only Gojo would think you struggling like this was sexy.
● "See? I told you. My fat ass wont fit–" Gojo was at you in a split second and stuck his hands into the shirt on either side of your hips, burying his face in your neck. He took a slow, deep breath and melted into your warm skin. He shuddered as he pulled his face around to rub his nose to yours. "Your fat ass is fucking sexy." His eyes are more blue right now than you've ever seen them. You pulled your face back to look at him. He was so fucking beautiful.
● He held your chin in his hand and brought his lips down to yours. Kissing him back rendered you void of all oxygen as you breathed into his grasp. His kiss was deep and overwhelming. Just like you'd always imagined it would be. He hung over you as you fought to keep your knees from buckling under you. Even though the couch was right there, you wanted to stay exactly where you were, pressed to him. As close as two semi clothed people could get.
● For a moment you forgot you were donning his uniform and that he was in a shirt and his boxer briefs. "You taste like the rain." He said, licking his lips and taking a small step back.
● You stood there with one hand on your hip and the other one holding the shirt together. Though you didn't know why you bothered. If he wanted to see your tits, he would see your tits.
● He stared back at you, looking you up and down in his ridiculously long yet narrow clothing. You notice how his cock is stretching out his boxer briefs. Precum beginning to leave a darkened, wet spot.
● Gojo followed your gaze down at the bulge. "This? You want this? Well, all y'gotta do is ask, sweetheart." He pulled the waistband down to the base of his cock and then started palming himself through the slightly stained fabric.
● Gojo saunteted over to you and reached ran his hand down the side of your face, looking at you so, so sweetly. A moment later he stuck his middle and fourth finger in your mouth. How that didn't catch you off guard and how it felt so natural, you'll never understand. You instinctively knew to start sucking on them. "Good girl," he purred your praises in a deep voice while his other hand came up to pull the bunched fabric of his shirt from your clutches.
● "You. Dirty. Little. Freak. I mean, I could smell it on you from the other side of the state. But damn. I'm, I'm impressed, y/n. Were you going to fuck yourself while you wore this?" He flicked your protruding nipple and then pulled the shirt open to kiss it. "Or were you going to lay it over a pillow and rub your wet little cunt all over it and then give it back to me so I could smell you deep in these threads?"
● You tried to talk around his fingers over your tongue. "Mmmughnn ... ughhh!" He laughed and pushed his fingers back, his other hand now cupping your pussy. He pushed you backward to the couch cushion. "Sit. Leave the shirt and pants on." You turned into your spot, purposely brushing your ass in his face.
● He let out a low rumble of a sound as he grabbed your hips to hold you there, pussy up. "Don't play games you don't know the rules to, sweetheart." His hand came down hard just before he nipped and kissed at the covered flesh. You settled back down on the brushed sued couch cover. "Open your legs." You did as you were told and lay there against the plush surface. Still a little sore from the mild reprimand.
● The same two fingers he had in your mouth made a wet trail from your lips to the hole in the inseam of his pants. You shuttered at how easy it was for him to govern your actions. How easily you gave into him. You wanted to be his good girl.
● He pushed the waistband aside and licked circles across your hips, nosing at your thighs and hovering over your wetness, breathing it in. He stayed there for what seemed like an eternity. You felt every layer of your skin start to heat up. It was no wonder, though. You felt like you were going to combust under his touch.
● You're almost whimpering and all this asshole has done is gag you, and cup your pussy. Once.
● He grabbed both sides of where the zipper was sewn into his pants and ripped them from your body. He pulled them down to your ankles and he slammed his face into your cunt. "Oh!!" You cried out. His mouth kissed around your rosy folds as his finger explored the edges of your hole. He turned his wrist and slid his finger into your warm, sticky walls. Rubbing your clit with his palm and his fingertip inside making the "come here" motion until you started to shift around him. How were you this wet already, you thought. "I feel you tightening up at my finger. So desperate for some part of me to fuck into you. You don't care if it's my hand."
● "Yes. Go‐ God. Fuck me with your hand, Gojo." He tutted at how cheaply you retailed yourself for his touch. "You don't care if it's myyy ...." He positioned his lips to encircle your clit as he still teased his finger just outside of you. "MMMMM" he lifted his face from you to finish saying the word. "My mmmouth."
● Your legs instinctually tried to slam closed at the sudden hard vibrations of his words on this sensitive bundle of nerves. But Gojo wouldn't allow it. For months, your fuck me energy flowed to him. He knew what you wanted. He knew when your hormones were heightened. When your body was at its apex of arousal. When you fucked yourself on your lunch break and came back to work to show him how you repaired his clothes with the same hand that, possibly moments before, was frantically rubbing at your cunt. He liked it. He craved it.
● Gojo dragged his open mouth over your abdomen to your chest and took your breasts, sucking and tonguing your nipple. Switching from one to the other when he was satisfied with the marks he'd left on your soft skin.
● He let his arms rest on either side of your legs and rubbed the fullest part of your thighs. It would look rough to any outsider, what he was doing. But there was more pressure than hurt in his approach.
● Your eyes went straight back into your skull. His touch felt better than you could ever fathom. "You have goosebumps." He said, so quietly. For a moment, you forgot where you were. "My fucking god." You whispered shakily as your body twitched. Your hips raise off of the couch without realizing it.
● He shifted down so his face was flush with your drenched cunt and he sunk his hands between your ass and the couch. Pulling you to the edge so he had complete access to you. "Mmhm. Just like I imagined it'd be. So fucking hot, sweetheart."
● His ripped his pants the rest of the way from your ankles and lifted your legs over his shoulders. He sunk two fingers into you. He said in a hushed tone. "Oh, jackpot, baby." Gojo slipped them in and out of you until he felt you begin to clench around him. Your hips rocked down to make up for the distance there was between you and his long fingers. You were doing everything to try and get him to increase the friction and depth. Making just slightly audible noises. Your wine buzz an afterthought by now. You were drunk on him. But you had a feeling you were still going to get loud.
● He was too careful not to administer any direct contact with the most needy part of you. "Gojo please! Pleasepleaseplease. You gotta do something. Anything!"
● "You think you deserve that? Now?" You were becoming increasingly frustrated as he continued to delay your gratification.
● He paused, feigning consideration thoughtfully, and he stood to remove the last of his remaining clothes. You sunk back, hoping your frustration wouldn't backpedal what little progress you've made with him.
● He sat next to you and reached over, filling his hands with the collar of his shirt. "Up." He shifted you from the sunken in space and sat you on top of him. He tore the shirt down from your shoulders and wrapped it around your waist.
● "Ooh!" You said in surprise. He moved so quickly now, comparatively. You began to roll your hips. The noises escaping from between your bodies were delicious. Spurring you on. You were so wet now. It was mixing with his own juices. It was so easy to let him make you feel good.
● His thick cock fit perfectly between your folds. You were stuck somewhere between heaven and hell. There was no way you could loosen his grip on you to raise yourself up somehow and bury him inside of you.
● You picked up your movements on him, essentially, giving him a hand-job with your pussy. "Ahh sweetheart. Careful ..." It was working. You only needed to move up his body a little more and "OH fffuh!" You got him to slide right into you.
● "Fffuck." He was inside of you and he seemed caught off guard as you tucked him away. You leaned away from him, arching your back and putting your hands behind you on his knees and you bounced so hard on him your tits slapped against your skin.
● "Swee– sweethar-tuh. Oh, God." Gojo snaked his arms around your waist to hold you while he slammed back into you with equal force."
● You pressed your chest into his face. He bit at your jumping flesh and lavished you with his tongue to ease the sharpness of his teeth against you.
● "Ok, ok, doll. That's e‐, that's, fuck ..." You leaned fully over him and grabbed the back of the couch to support your efforts. "You, you wan'ta keep driving us both crazy and go down on me all night?" He considered it but switched places with you instead.
● He spun you over so you were on your back against the seat. "No." He admitted, his cock sliding into you at such a fast pace your head was slamming into the armrest. "No, I'm going to fuck you now."
● He focused as he went balls deep into you, watching closely to see how you swallowed him up with every thrust.
● "Such, ah, such a sweet pussy, sweet-hah-heart." You had been driven half mad by him. And finally, finally, you were where you'd imagined being for so long; under him. Tangled around him.
● Your insides were on fire as he drove into your covetous cunt. You felt that familiar tension building, like you had so many times before when Gojo was just a figment of your imagination. His weight on you was marvelous. It erased the emptiness you'd feel when you would open your eyes to see he wasn't there. No matter how hard you worked to convince yourself it was real. That he was real.
● "Y‐ya feel s'fuckin' good, Gojo. Fuck ..." He leaned over to kiss your contorted mouth. You were going to cum. Your insides tightened up all at once and you wrapped your body around him.
● "Fffuck Gojo! Oh my god – ah!" He watched you come apart like you were a long-lost friend. Your body undulating beneath him was so pretty to him. You were a mess. A hot mess and he was here for it.
● He felt your legs slacken as you rode out the euphoric high. The most miniscule drops of saliva hanging onto the corners of your lips.
● You felt like a little doll beneath him now. Laying there almost innocently. Tears running down either side of your face. Sweat at your relaxed brow. So cute, he thought.
● His pace quickened and your eyes opened wide as he felt his impending release tear at his willpower. "Oh, fuck, sweetheart. I'm g'na cum. Where do you want – tchh, ah – where should I – aw, fuck."
● He was too slow. He came a white shower inside of your warmth. "I," he wiped his brow. "Well, I'm sure you know." He laughed and kissed you.
"Gojo, I want to ask you something."
"Ok, what?"
"Did you really come over here in the middle of the rainy night to ask me to fix your pants?"
"I, uh, no. I fucking hate those pants. I just wanted to wear you.

Henry Danger Reader Insert | Captain Man x Reader: SEASON 3
Episode 14: License to Fly
*hint of spice, can't help myself, so watch out for it*
~A back alley in Downtown Swellview~
Tumblr media
It was light at night and the city was asleep, but even so, crime never stops. Therefore, Captain Man and his faithful sidekicks were skulking around the backstreets of Swellview looking for some good-for-nothing scum; the Ballerino Brothers. They were fairly certain that they were gonna find them and of course, looking for criminals required a good amount of stealth and quietness, but all the waiting was making Henry impatient and he desperately wanted to Ray let him do one particular thing. Something that he'd never been allowed to do in all his time as Kid Danger.
"Come on, man..." He whined as they crept around, but Ray wasn't too happy about all the noise. It was hard enough concentrating with (y/n) and the scent of her perfume following him around, he didn't need a teenager bothering him too. "Shhhhh!"
"Will you please just say yes?" Henry kept begging. He was sixteen now, surely, he should at least be given a lesson. Y'know, for emergencies.
"Kid, will you please just shhhhh?!" (y/n) whacked his chest as she stood on her tiptoes and peered over her boyfriend's shoulder. Ever her noble protector, he insisted that stayed behind him, just in case one of these criminal brothers jumped out in an ambush.
"I'll shhhh if one of you teaches me how to fly the Man-Copter." The boy countered, saying that damn phrase for the hundredth time that day. It wasn't like the couple didn't trust him, far from it, it was just that the Man-Copter represented a huge investment, approximately one-hundred thousand dollars, to be exact. It's not stupid to ban a teenage boy from flying around in your ridiculously expensive machine, especially when he sometimes tended to show off.
Henry sighed as Ray's phone began to ring, effectively ending the argument there as he brought his girl close to his chest so she could pick up on what was being said. "It's Charlotte. Go for me."
"Okay, it's confirmed. You're looking for the Ballerino Brothers." The teen girl stated, checking out all the info she was getting on the supercomputer.
"I hate those guys," Ray growled, wrinkling his nose up at the thought of having to deal with those jerks. He didn't like any criminal, but the Ballerino Brothers took the biscuit.
"You know, they're they're not even brothers." (y/n) grumbled too, folding her arms grumpily,  which made Ray smile at her cute, frowning face. She always made him feel so much better.
"I don't get why you won't just--" Henry tried to butt in on their little moment, in an attempt to persuade them/badger them into giving him flying lessons, but interrupting Ray when he was admiring his girlfriend wasn't a recipe for success.
"Do you get that I'm on the phone?!" He retorted, (y/n) trying to calm him down when she felt the hand on her waist squeeze at her flesh even harder. The constant mithering was getting to her lovely boyfriend, but they had to remember where they were and who they were trying to capture; a back alley was not the place for a fistfight, something someone should've told Henry.
The boy grabbed Ray's phone from his hand in the blink of an eye, making the superhero gasp when he realised that his sidekick was using his hypermotility against him. That little shit.
"Uh! You do not snatch my phone like that!" Ray snapped, becoming caught up in their arguing and with (y/n) stood with her eyes gazing up at his handsome face, no one noticed how the thugs they were searching for were prancing and pirouetting towards them.
"Will you please just teach me to fly the Man-Copter? Or get (y/n) to teach me?" Henry asked again, but Ray still wasn't happy about the whole Henry-stealing-his-phone thing.
"What have I told you about using your lightning-fast reflexes to snatch our stuff?" The young woman scolded him, not liking how he was so tall now that he could easily overpower her if he wanted to. Paired with his new superpower and his teenage arrogance, Henry Hart was becoming quite a handful.
"You both promised me that you would. When you weren't busy doing gross things." Henry grumbled and didn't care if he embarrassed them or not. Judging by Ray's pink ears and how (y/n) buried her face into her boyfriend's chest it worked, but the man didn't want to discuss it in the dingy alley.
"We'll talk about it later." Ray snapped, his angry tone sparking a furious debate between the two males that (y/n) tried to contain, but to no avail. The shouting meant that they didn't notice the Ballerino Brother pick up a trash can each and just when Henry tried to yell back, they cracked them over the head with the heavy metal.
The superheroes fell to the floor in agony as the ballet-dancing criminals floated around and waited for Captain Man and Miss Danger to get up from the ground since they recovered much sooner than the boy. Ray was fuming at whoever attacked him and his girl, not to mention Henry, so unexpectedly and he stumbled around only to see the brothers' smug faces.
"Captain Man, Miss Danger and Kid Danger."
"Nice tutu see you." They greeted, bringing the ballet puns thick and fast. All the Swellviewian criminals loved an evil pun, something (y/n) could never wrap her head around as it seemed so silly and unthreatening.
"Well, if it isn't the Ballerino Brothers." Captain Man growled as Henry rubbed his sore head. Luckily, the blow wasn't serious and he was able to blink away the fuzziness in his eyes to see the odd ballet costumes worn by the Ballerinos. Orange and purple definitely don't go together.
"Right. And our favourite dance is The Nutcracker...sweet." The criminals beat the fists together and glared at the superhero squad, both sides psyching themselves up for a fight, but it seemed like Henry wasn't ready to their quarrel go.
"Okay, what about Saturday morning? Your girlfriend could teach me before work." Henry proposed, forgetting about the brothers and turning to his boss with pleading eyes. He'd hoped that mentioning (y/n) would sweeten the deal, but honestly, (y/n) was always busy on Saturday mornings. Always.
"You're too young to fly the Man-Copter. And Miss Danger will be busy that morning." Ray dismissed his sidekick's words. He couldn't let (y/n) get out of bed early, not when she usually gave all her attention to him. The thought of waking up alone and unloved sounded horrible.
"Ohhhh, so I'm old enough to help you beat up vicious ballet dancers, but I'm not old enough to fly the Man-Copter?" Henry spat, prodding the man's chest with an accusing finger. The only sensible one amongst them tried to wiggle her way between them and push the boys apart, but Ray just wanted her glued to his side so he could protect her from Henry and his need for flying lessons.
"It's not a question of age, it's a question of experience and training and---" Captain Man started to list everything he expected from a responsible pilot, but the men waiting for a fight were getting impatient.
"Uhhhh, 'scuse me? Are we gonna fight or do you two need to see a couple's therapist?" One Ballerino brother asked harshly, making the heroes look at them offendedly. To be fair, Henry and Ray did squabble like an old married couple sometimes, leaving (y/n) to giggle at their arguing.
"Perhaps both." She agreed with a sour smile, not willing to be too friendly with the brothers since they were enemies. Still, Ray wasn't too happy at the sass from the men, particularly since it was obvious that he already had a girlfriend. "You dancing punks."
"Punks?! We went to Juilliard!" One Ballerino replied and they stiffened their posture so they could stand elegantly to show their dancing prowess.
"How could you say I'm too young?" Henry hissed to his boss, making the couple groan. Not this shit again, it was like they were just going back and forth, back and forth.
"You're not ready, you're just a sidekick!" Ray exclaimed, not realising that his words were quite upsetting for the boy. He longed to be more than just the sidekick and even though he loved him like a brother, he sometimes grew tired of being in Captain Man's shadow.
"Oh. Oh, really?" He asked, trying not to appear as hurt as he felt, but (y/n) could see the grimace that passed over his features. Her dumb boyfriend needed to think before he spoke.
"Oh. Oh, really?" Ray copied him, not seeing how his petulant way of dealing with the situation was irritating (y/n), who was starting to move onto Henry's side.
"Okay, stop! Captain Man, you're being unfair and unkind. Kid Danger, can't this wait until after--" The young woman sighed, but the cocky glint in her boyfriend's eye pissed Henry off to the point where he was going to do something drastic.
"Then let's make a deal." He interrupted, dismissing his wisdom in favour of wiping that smirk off of the man's face by proving that he wasn't too young or just a sidekick. He was powerful and smart, he could handle anything.
"Aw, what kind of deal?" Ray scoffed tiredly, feeling fed up with going around in circles of some dumb helicopter. This was supposed to be a quick mission, yet they were still waiting on the action.
"If I knock out both these Ballerinos, by myself...then you, not Miss Danger, have to teach me how to fly the Man-Copter." Well, it was a fair deal, stupid and hilarious for Ray to hear, but fair nonetheless.
"Kid, you..." Ray sighed, not wanting to see him get hurt just to win some bet, but a shrug from (y/n) told him that she was all for it. If Henry thought he could beat the Ballerinos (who were once again getting bored of waiting and were looking for things they could use as weapons), then why couldn't he go solo? Maybe it would take his ego down a peg or two.
"Okay, tell you what...I'm gonna take my girl and we're gonna sit over here. You fight these guys by yourself." Captain Man clutched Miss Danger's hand and led her over to a ledge where she could snuggle into his side and watch the fight. Front row seats.
"I will." Henry puffed his chest out cockily and sneered at the retreating pair, but it was a mistake to turn his back on two criminals known for loving sneak-attacks.
"Good luck." (y/n) told him sweetly, smiling at the boy since she knew he'd need every scrap of fortune on his side. The kid was outnumbered and overly confident, a dangerous combination when he was gearing up for a fight.
"I don't need luck, you know why? Arghhh!---" Oh, poor Henry, not even two seconds after the adults had taken a seat, a Ballerino whacked him over the head with a piece of junk. The old microwave colliding with his skull was agonisingly painful and even if it did make him wince, Ray refused to help.
"Wow, kid. Way to block that..." He commented sarcastically whilst wrapping an arm around his girlfriend's shoulders and bringing her closer into his embrace until she was almost in his lap. Her leg folded over his as her head lolled against his peck, a position that looked way too comfortable to say they were in some filthy alley with two of Swelllview's most dangerous lawbreakers.
"With your head as well. Very impressive." (y/n) chuckled at Henry's unimpressed face, ignoring it so she could focus on drawing mindless patterns on Ray's knee and thigh.
"Okay, Ballerinos...let's dance." Kid Danger quipped and swung and struck at one brother after doing a pirouette kick. He took a punch to the face when the other Ballerino retaliated with fury in his eyes and all the while, Ray had uncurled his right arm from (y/n) and was digging through his little bag for some snacks. Not fighting bad guys really worked up his appetite.
A flick on his nose snapped Henry into reality and he suddenly remembered that he had an advantage over these bastards: stupidly fast reflexes.
A few swift blows to the orange guy's face made him stagger out of the way, just in time for the sidekick to block the purple dude's jabs, seize him and throw his body into his brother's arms.
"Ah, dang it!" Ray cursed as he took out a jar of jelly, followed by a jar of smooth peanut butter, which wasn't his favourite kind of PB. How was he supposed to make a sandwich without some crunchy goodness?
"What's wrong, doofus?" (y/n) frowned at his sudden, sharp tone, but it soften when she saw that his anger was directed towards some peanut butter, not the Ballerino Brothers, her or Henry.
"I told Schwoz to pack crunchy peanut butter." He hissed, mentally cursing the handyman for messing up the simplest of instructions. Now, his sandwich was going to be smooth and boring. As Ray fretted about his food situation, the Ballerinos were getting fancy with their footwork. After dodging a weirdly beautiful flying kick, Henry took up a trash can lid to use as a shield and weapon. He smashed one guy in the face with it before blocking a punch, leaving the purple Ballerino to clutch his broken fingers for a few seconds before the metal was smashed against his jaw in an uppercut.
"Can I have a sandwich too?" (y/n) asked her boyfriend in a sweetly innocent voice, fluttering her eyelashes so she could share his food. The problem was, Ray had only packed enough for one person, but with so much temptation, he couldn't say no, not to his sweet girl.
"Sure, sweet girl. Wanna go halfsies?" He smirked at her, leaning in close to brush his lips against hers for a taste of something much sweeter than his grape jelly, but Henry didn't want them to kiss, he wanted them to pay attention.
"You watchin' this?" He shouted at the couple after tossing the lid into one guy's face, making (y/n) break away shyly. Ray clenched his teeth in annoyance. First, the kid wanted his girl to leave early on Saturday morning before they even got a chance to enjoy each other's company and now, he was stopping him from feeling those honeyed lips against his? What a jerk.
"Yeah. Hey, Ballerino, try using this." The disgruntled superhero threw a crowbar to a brother, much to Henry's and (y/n)'s horror. Their shocked faces grew as the Ballerino used the metal to beat Henry to the ground, which the superhero enjoyed more than he should've.
"Why would you give that to them, doof?" The woman hissed at her boyfriend as he began to smear some jelly across their sandwich and he ignored her question so he could watch the fight. "Bravissimo!"
"Hey! You can't help them beat me up!" Kid Danger panted as he recovered from the whack on his knee and seized the crowbar so he could give the Ballerinos a taste of their own medicine, meaning he gave them a good hiding in return.
"Nah. Never said that." Ray was technically right. They'd made no rule about not helping the criminals, but you'd think that Captain Man would be against that.
"Juilliard!" The orange Ballerino cried before spinning crazily to Henry with a roundhouse kick. The boy was too quick for him though and ducked before he could get hurt and swiftly punched the thug in the nose several times, knocking him into a dumpster. Well, that was one taken care of.
The purple Ballerino came hurtling towards Henry, full of revenge for his beaten brother. Every one of his swings was expertly blocked by the boy, who kneed him in the stomach before hoisting him over his shoulder and tossing him in with his partner. Victory was Henry's.
"Now, you have to teach me how to fly the Man-Copter." He bragged, sauntering over to Ray and stealing his sandwich with a smirk. The superhero spluttered when the boy took a bite of his PB and J and (y/n) wasn't happy about it either.
"Hey, half of that is mine." She told him but then again, if Henry was the one eating it, she wasn't sure if she wanted what was hers. She only stole Ray's food, no one else's.
"No, no, no." Ray waggled his finger, thinking he'd found a loophole that would save both his extremely expensive helicopter and his morning fun with his girlfriend.
"We had a deal." Henry gasped, shocked that Captain man was going back on his word. He never broke a promise, well, he tried his best not to.
"Ray, you did say that you had a deal. I was a witness." (y/n) hated disagreeing with her boyfriend, especially when it involved something that broke the bank when they bought it, but to be fair to the kid, Ray had agreed.
"Yeah, I know, sweet girl! The deal was you had to knock out both Ballerinos!" The large man smirked, resting his hand casually on his girl's inner thigh so he could stroke the soft skin there.
"I did!" Henry argued. Was he so busy fondling his girlfriend and the sandwich that he missed the entire fight?
"No, you didn't, look! There's one getting out of the dumpster, right now!" The superhero pointed to the open dumpster where a Ballerino was trying to get to his feet so he could keep on fighting. His associate was out for the count, so it would be too hard to deal with just one ballet dancer.
Taking half of his/Ray's/(y/n)'s sandwich, Henry tossed the peanut buttered side at the criminal, making him shriek when it splattered across his face. "Ahhh! I'm allergic to peanuts!" He shrieked, causing the superheroes to laugh at his dramatic reaction.
"Come on, you. Fair's fair." (y/n) smiled at Ray, who had to admit, his youngest sidekick had done extremely well. His training had really paid off.
"All right, kid. You win." Ray conceded, wrapping his arms around his girl's waist as he admired the boy's work. Two more criminals off the street, he couldn't ask for more.
"I know," Henry smirked at his admittance, but mostly because he knew that this time tomorrow, he'd be cruising over skyscrapers in a goddamn helicopter.
~Saturday Morning~
Well, it was 7 AM, a disgustingly early time for those who liked to sleep in on Saturdays, namely (y/n), Ray and even Henry. However, the boy didn't care about his principles, not when a helicopter ride was up for grabs, so he was already up and rushing to Junk-N-Stuff when the couple's alarm went off.
"Rayyyy..." (y/n) grumbled in a sleep-laced voice at the sudden noise filling their bedroom and blinked through the darkness to see her boyfriend with his arm covering his eyes. Clearly, he didn't fancy leaving the warm comfort of her and the blankets, but in the back of his mind, he knew that Henry would be arriving soon and breaking down the door for his lesson.
"Five more minutes." He mumbled and rolled onto his side so he could bury his nose into her neck and pull her body close. God, he felt like shit, but the feeling of her softness underneath him was something that could make him overlook that...and also make him late for Henry.
"You promised H-Henry...shit..." (y/n) replied in a breathless voice, her skin heating up when she felt him roll on top of her with a groan. He didn't have time for sleep or this, but it felt so right. Just a few minutes...
"But I've been dreaming about you all night, sweet girl. S'only fair that I get to have you before I go." He whined, trailing a hand up her ribcage and smirking when he felt her shudder through the thin pyjamas she always wore, only for them to be ripped off.
"Stop destroying my pyjamas. I only have, like, three sets left." She whined, smacking his shoulder when he chuckled against her collarbone. It was no secret that he loved tearing her clothing and uncovering her soft, feminine curves, the thrill it gave him, it was too good to stop just for the sake of a few dollars.
"Maybe you'll just have to wear my t-shirts to bed. Just my t-shirts, nothing else." He teased flirtatiously, growling lowly at the thought of her wearing something that belonged to him. God, that used be nothing but a fantasy born from long, lonely nights and pent-up desire, but now, he had her, she was here in his arms, quivering as he watched the marks he left on her breasts fade away instantly.
"I'll wear anything you like if you put that mouth of yours to good use." (y/n) smirked, threading her fingers through his silky hair as he kissed his way down her body. That cocky smile, she could feel it hovering over her navel and her core clenched when he deliberately stopped before he reached where she needed him most.
"I'll take that as a promise sweet girl." He mumbled, implanting the thought into her memory as he moved down and began to worship her like her hips were an altar. Early mornings weren't always a bad thing, sometimes, they were a blessing.
~One hour later~
After a rather vigorous start to the day, Ray practically dragged his complaining girlfriend all the way up Mount Swellview, the couple trailing after Henry who was way too excited for a spot of early-morning hiking. Y'see, Ray figured that rather than using his precious Man-Copter as the guinea pig in the kid's flying lessons, it would be better to hire someone else's and let him crash that one. There was one slight problem though, the nearest helicopter rental place was on top of a mountain and after two hours of rolling around the sheets, (y/n) was pooped before she'd even started.
"Come on, sweet girl. It's not that bad." Ray told her, barely feeling any tiredness since he had his superhero stamina. The young woman clenched his hand, hoping he'd take pity on her and just carry her up, but he was certain that she wasn't tired, just cranky about her legs feeling like jelly (insert his smug face here).
"Every step I take feels sore." She grumbled, trying to ignore the ache between her legs and how the glinting morning sun was being a pain in the ass and shining directly into her eyes. Hiking wasn't all that bad, to be honest, having super-regeneration was a hidden blessing; endless energy from her muscles that kept her powering on with a slight limp that was easing speedily.
"You and I both know that it'll be gone in five minutes. Ten if we screwed as loud as your screaming suggested." He teased, laughing loudly when he watched her mouth drop open and the faux-anger built up behind her eyes. She was cute when she wrinkled her nose in anger.
"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up. I'll be the one laughing when we get home and I change into that grey shirt you own, you know, the one you got from Mississippi. Nothing else. Just your shirt, on your bed, my fingers, who knows where they'll end up." Oh, it was on. Ray's head snapped to her direction, his eyes softening when he saw how the early morning light streaked around her like she was an angel, his angel.
"We could go home right now...you and me."  He suggested, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively, but they'd walked up there and Henry was already sat in the pilot's seat of their rental, feeling up the joystick and buttons like a curious child. They were gonna do this.
"Give Henry his lesson and then I'll wear your damn shirt. If you don't crash and burn, that is." She shrugged, giggling when he realised her hand in favour of marching faster up the hill to the plateau with the landing pad.
"Move." He ordered Henry, who was going "pew, pew, pew!" like he was a helicopter pilot in a computer game. No way was Ray gonna let him take off, he valued his life; no, first, they were just gonna get airborne and a feel for how the craft worked.
"What? Dude!" The kid whined as he was shoved into the passenger seat and forced to watch as his boss buckled up. No fair, he was having fun...
"Beautiful morning, eh?" Ray smiled at him, silently admitting to himself that whilst he originally thought that this Saturday was going to be crap, it was shaping up to be pretty damn good.
"You're supposed to let me fly," Henry complained, internally grumbling at the man's blatant refusal to let him be in control. How was he supposed to learn if he wasn't in the pilot's seat?
"Well, I assume you know the first rule of flying a helicopter." Ray proposed as he strapped his seatbelt across his chest and buckled up. Now, where was (y/n), oh and Charlotte, who was also climbing Mount Swellview, just much more slowly and sweatily.
"What?" Henry asked, thinking it was probably about pre-flight checks or checking the fuel levels or something sensible, but he soon got a rude answer.
"Shutting up. Now, flying a helicopter isn't for babies." Ray stated as Henry also fastened his belt and rolled his eyes at his arrogance. Oh, how he wondered at how (y/n) loved him so much.
"What's your point?" The boy grumbled, not loving the whole "passenger seat driving/flying" he found himself in.
"That you should read this manual, cover to cover," Ray answered and helped up a worn copy of an old flying guide he'd made his sweet girl dig out of storage just so he could annoy Henry and delay him taking the controls.
"Okay. I'll read that manual if you swear on (y/n)'s life that you read that manual before you flew a helicopter." Henry smirked at his smart comeback because he knew that he'd caught his boss out. Using his girlfriend against him was a bit mean, but effective.
"Okay, you don't have to read the manual." The superhero answered after quickly flicking through the pages. It was just Henry being sassy, but just the mere thought of losing his girl over a dumb lie made him go pale. Better safe than truly, utterly sorry. He tossed the book out of the opened door, not realising that the girls were reaching the summit of the mountain.
"Owwww!" They heard a cry that sounded awfully like Charlotte, probably because it was indeed the teen, who'd just taken a flying guide to the face.
"Raymond...who threw this manual?" (y/n) demanded to know as she stormed up to her handsome boyfriend sitting in the cockpit, Charlotte strolling up behind her, rubbing her bruised temple.
"Uh, som-so--some guy." He stuttered an answer, trying not to let his words dry up as he faced her fury. Shit, she was hot when she was mad and her glowing eyes made him squirm in his seat.
"Charlotte, (y/n), will you please finish up this diagnostic test so we can get this thing up in the air? Thank you..." Henry asked them politely, but there was a sense of authority in his tone that reminded the girls of Captain Ego next to him.
"Oh, sure, we're sorry. We didn't mean to waste your guys' time while (y/n) was pulling this manual out of my eye." Charlotte snapped at his demanding tone, not appreciating how she and (y/n) were busting their asses so early in the morning, on a goddamn mountain, yet they were still being ordered around like slaves.
"Apology accepted."
"It's okay." The boys didn't pick up on her anger, making Charlotte cooly look at her friend, who also wasn't impressed.
"My dear boyfriend...here's your manual." (y/n) smiled in a sugary voice and slammed the heavy book down onto Ray's crotch before briskly following the younger girl to finish up the tests. His squeal of pain made her heart clench, but at least he'd learn his lesson.
"Hey, why are we taking this helicopter. I thought we were gonna take the Man-Copter." Henry questioned as he ignored his boss's discomfort.
"Because...before you get to fly my super-cool Man-Copter, which does exist. You first need to learn on this rental helicopter. (y/n) doesn't want you to literally crash and burn all of our money." Ray replied, curling his fingers around the controls and smiling at the thought of his girlfriend. Even when she was mad, he couldn't help but want her close.
"Okay, fine, whatever. I'll listen to your girlfriend, let's just start this thing, okay? I just wanna fly." The kid said impatiently, getting all fidgety in his chair as his adrenaline began to pick up. Here came the skies, baby...
"Hey, hey, hey, it's not that easy." Ray quietened down his enthusiasm, wanting to take as much fun out of this experience as he could since he thought that if Henry hated his lesson, he'd never ask again. "Oh, it's not?"
"No, it's not. I mean, for example, starting a helicopter, nothing like starting a car. 'Cause, as you can see, there's literally dozens of buttons, levers and lights all over the dashboard and it takes time and experience..." The man tried to sound so cool and wise, like his sweet girl when she was explaining a technical, scientific term he could never understand, but Henry being Henry, got bored halfway through and just flicked a switch that looked like the on button and hey, presto, it worked. The helicopter's blades began to whir to life and the girls working on the back of the fuselage got the fright of their lives when they nearly met a sticky, Indiana Jones-esque end.
"AHHHHHH, TURN IT OFF!"
"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, FLICK THE SWITCH! FLICK THE SWITCH!" Ray's heart leapt into his mouth when he heard Charlotte and (y/n)'s screams of terror and quickly killed the motor before he had a devastating mess on his hands.
"Don't do that." He told Henry sternly, giving him a stern, serious gaze at how his show-off attitude nearly killed the most important person in his life; his darling, sweet girl. Oh, and Charlotte too.
"But it started." The boy argued, thinking that since no one had their heads chopped off and he was right with his guess, everything was fine.
"I know but don't do that. You can't slice up my girlfriend." He replied in a dangerously calm voice, not that his sidekick was too concerned. He was still right...
"Okay."
"Thank you." You'd think that they'd just leave it there and see if the late-minute tests were complete, but oh, no. Smart-ass Henry just had to open his mouth yet again.
"But it started." He repeated, unable to let go of the fact that he'd bested an experienced pilot from just his common sense and a dash of luck.
"Mmm? What?" Ray immediately asked for an answer, but the kid merely feigned ignorance, acting as though nothing had happened. Charlotte and (y/n), on the other hand, begged to differ.
"Okay, who started the helicopter? Come on, fess up!" The young woman shouted angrily and she and the girl marched around the cockpit. Charlotte's hair was windswept and slightly hilarious, whilst (y/n)'s cheek was stained red from where she'd accidentally smeared the blood when feeling the nick of the helicopter blades lightly slicing her skin. It had stitched back together instantly, but the scarlet evidence was plain to see and a stark reminder of how messing with heavy machinery was never a good idea.
"It was Henry." Ray swiftly answered, but his reaction to cup her marred cheek was even quicker. (y/n) couldn't help but lean into his touch as his thumb swept the blood away and Henry just groaned at the snitching and how lovey-dovey they were.
"Well, we're not really sure---" He tried to cover his tracks, but Ray couldn't lie to his girl, not when she was resting her hand tenderly on his thigh and she was leaning up to him as best she could.
"We're sure that it was Henry." The large man butted in, making his sidekick look out of his window in annoyance.
"Well, Henry did you start the helicopter?" Charlotte questioned indignantly, looking around (y/n) and her gooey stare so she could glare at her friend.
"Uh, maybe. I think so. I'm pretty sure, yeah! Why does it matter? I didn't mean to, I'm sorry." Henry rambled, shrinking under the anger of not one, but two disgruntled girls, both of whom had fearsome tempers when roused.
"Well, the next time you wanna start a helicopter, we'd appreciate if you'd tell us first, so we can move our heads away from the spinning blades of doom! That goes for you too, mister!" (y/n) scolded him and then her bashful boyfriend, who was suddenly quite eager to leave before her hand could slide any place where it could do some serious harm or leave him in a puddle of melted pleasure.
"Dude, your girlfriend's mad with us."
"Just hit the thing and lift off." The superhero duo scrambled to flee the scene, hoping that when they returned, calmness would be back with their friends, but for now, they just wanted to get the hell out of there without the girls.
"Oh, no, bye!"
"See you later, babe!" They shouted above the noise of the engine and rotating blades, Ray ignoring the furious look in (y/n)'s eyes as they began to ascend into the sky. Boy, he'd be in for it tonight when he finally stumbled into their bedroom.
"Raymond! Don't you dare go without me!" She screeched at the helicopter as it hovered above the ground, but they were too far gone to drop back down and pick them up, even if her experience would help his learning.
"Back in a few!" Henry yelled back as Ray piloted them away from the massive obstacle that was the mountain and into the clear skies over Swellview, missing his girl already. Oh, well. Absence makes the heart grow fonder and the punishment all the more sweeter.
  ~
"Now, as you can see, one of the most important things about flying a helicopter is keeping the helicopter high off the ground, or, in more technical terms---" Ray began to explain as they reached a safe cruising altitude where he could bullshit his way through teaching. Maybe Henry should've brought (y/n) along, after all, at least she'd actually give him a decent lesson.
"Dude! Dude! You said I could fly!" Henry stated over the noise, making Ray falter as he tried to think of an excuse. he didn't mind Henry flying, he was just worried about Henry crashing and subsequently dying. He'd never get over that.
"Well, yeah, but first, I gotta teach you." He replied, not realising that a person only learns when their hand is guided under the expertise of a master.
"Then teach me while I'm flying! Or, maybe we should just go back and get (y/n) so she can do it!" The boy insisted, twisting Ray's arm by the mere mention of the young woman. She was his only true pressure point, one that worked every time.
"Ahhh, all right, you think you're ready to fly this thing?" Ray sighed, knowing that this was inevitable. Henry was his tutee, his apprentice, his sidekick, one day, he'd be flying around on his own so he had to learn, even if the stakes were high. "I really do."
"All right, then let's switch places." With Henry's agreement, Ray unclipped his belt and began to shuffle his but of the button and switches between the chairs so he and the kid could swap seats. It was a massive kerfuffle; not only did they have to worry about falling out of the open doors or knocking the stick and crashing, but more importantly, they had to think about Henry's banana. Unsurprisingly, the two, who weren't known for their gracefulness, rocked the helicopter from side to side as they crawled around the cockpit, nearly rocking Ray out of the door and making Henry drop his beloved fruit. They lost a valiant soldier that day.
"Wooo! Yeah! This isn't so hard!" Henry bragged as he gently wobbled the joystick around and steered the helicopter through the clouds. He couldn't understand what all the fuss had been about, piloting was just like a videogame.
"Yeah, just be careful," Ray warned him, knowing all too well about pilots getting too cocky and losing control. He did not want to spend his day scraping chunks of teenager off the pavement.
"Yeah, no problem--hey, that's my soda." The teen lost concentration as he noticed his boss pick up a bottle of strawberry soda that (y/n) packed and began to pop the cap off. No fair, he wanted the strawberry one.
"Yeah, well, (y/n) packed it, she's my girl, so I'm drinkin' it." Ray shrugged, believing that since he was now the passenger, he should get first dibs on choosing a beverage.
"No, no, you better not!" Henry ordered, his knuckles turning white as he grasped the stick tightly. Stupid Ray, always stealing his stuff, how the hell did (y/n) put up with him?
"Don't tell me what I can and cannot drink, Henry--whoaaaa! Dang, it!" The superhero cursed when his devious sidekick jerked the controls, causing the helicopter to roll violently and Ray to drop the soda so he didn't fall. He mourned the loss of his drink as Henry cackled in laughter, but on the ground, it was a different story.
"Schwoz, just come pick us up." Charlotte sighed as she and (y/n) sat moodily on a rock and tried to convince the handyman to come to rescue them from the mountain top. No way were they gonna trek back down when Schowx could readily come and take them back to the Man Cave, but the little guy was a little apprehensive.
"Because Ray and Henry left us here and I don't know when my dickhead boyfriend is coming--what the hell is that?"(y/n) groaned into the speaker as Charlotte held it between their heads, but she trailed off when she saw a red sparkle descending from the heavens.
"SODA!!!" Charlotte exclaimed in fear as she recognised the label and tugged the young woman away before they could get hit. They dodged the drink just in time, watching with wide eyes as it shattered on the rock they were sitting on moments before.
"I'll kill him, I'll actually kill him when I'll get hold of him. Don't know how, but I will!" (y/n) growled as she glanced up and saw a black speck soar over their heads and she knew it could only be one pair. Next time, she'd remember to never let a teen boy and a child trapped in a man's body rent a helicopter, it only ensued chaos.
~Junk-N-Stuff~
So, Schwoz refused to come to collect them, so the girls were forced to stumble back down the mountain and then call a cab once they were back on the road. Yeah, Ray was definitely dead when he got back, but for now, at least they were back at the store, where they could flop on the couch and not move for the next ten hours. If only things were that simple.
Upon entering Junk-N-Stuff, (y/n) and Charlotte were greeted by a scene of utter pandemonium and Jasper was its orchestrator. The entire floor was flooded with cotton candy? The hell? And by the looks of it, Jasper and apparently, Piper, had no way of controlling the machine that was creating the flow.
"Why is my life never simple?" (y/n) moaned in anguish as she went to close the door and leave the problem with the kids in the hopes that she could come back from the ice cream parlour in an hour and the mess would've sorted itself out, but no.
"(y/n)! Charlotte! Help us!" Jasper cried as he wrangled with the cotton candy machine, trying. desperately in vain to try and turn it off. Piper, however, was perfectly content, or at least, she made herself out to be. "Don't help me, I'm fine."
"What happened in here?" Charlotte screamed as she led a dazed (y/n) into the pink, fluffy mess. Just when they thought Jasper could be left on his own he floods the place out, typical.
"We turned on the cotton candy machine and now, we can't turn it off!" Jasper explained in a panicked voice, causing the young woman to look at him with exasperated, annoyed eyes.
"Well, how much sugar did you put in there?" She asked, praying to god that for once, the curly-haired boy had read the instructions and only added a small amount, but no. "These two jugs...and about eight more." Yeah, Jasper Dunlop doesn't know "sensible", not at all.
"Why--wha--I don't--ugh!" Charlotte spluttered at his stupidity, unable to comprehend how he had thought that was a good idea, but (y/n) was trying not to freak out too much. She just hoped Ray didn't come back early.
"Okay, okay, let's not worry about this." She told the teens, glancing over to look at Piper, who had filled a cone with candy floss and was now munching away. Well, that was one way of getting rid of it.
"Why don't worry?" Jasper yelled over the machine's noise and even Charlotte couldn't see her logic. This was a worrying thing, why the hell couldn't they panic?
"Because it's got to stop eventually, unless you've created the world's first endless cotton candy machine, in which case, may I congratulate you on your success?" (y/n) answered sarcastically, watching as Piper played in the fluffiness. Why would she be worried? This wasn't her livelihood or part of it going down the drain.
"Ooo, what then?" Jasper grinned, slightly hoping that he had created a marvellous invention that he could sell to the masses. No, focus.
"Then...we'll gather up all the cotton candy, put it outside the door, then we get the hose and spray it so all the cotton candy washes away," Charlotte replied, knowing that the sugar would just dissolve under the water, leaving Ray none the wiser as to what had gone down in his shop.
"Hey! You know what we can do in the meantime?" Piper excitedly asked them, looking like she was experiencing a massive sugar rush, probably from all the cotton candy she'd eaten.
"What can we do?" Jasper asked, finding Piper's sudden enthusiasm a little unnerving. The three watched in amazement as Piper dumped Jasper's backpack that she'd been hoarding and belly-flopped into the sea of cotton candy, which, to be fair, looked quite fun.
"You know, she makes a good point." (y/n) shrugged, enjoying seeing the little girl have so much since she'd be the one taking it away once the machine packed in. Piper could have her fun, for now...
~In the helicopter~
"WOOOO! YEAH! Yo! Helicopters are heli-fun! Y'know what I'm saying?" Henry yelled to Ray as he piloted them through the air and the incessant swaying and rocking was starting to make the man feel a bit sick. "Yeah."
"You know what I'm saying?" Henry asked again like Ray hadn't heard him. He just wanted some energy for flying, 'cause it was hella cool.
"I know what you're saying, yes!" Ray exclaimed, debating whether they should wrap up the lesson before he puked. Henry was undoubtedly comfortable at the controls and the thought of non-moving, steady ground sounded quite nice.
"Hey, hey! Look,  look, look! We're not that far from Junk-N-Stuff!" Henry pointed out as he recognised the streets below them. Maybe he could drop by and see how his friends were doing and maybe Ray could kiss (y/n) long enough to get back into a good mood.
"Yeah, so?" Ray asked, wondering why that was relevant since it wasn't like he could get out and just stroll in to see how his girl was, assuming that she and Charlotte had left the mountain.
"So, c'mon, let's fly over the shop so Charlotte, (y/n), Schwoz and Jasper can see us!" The kid suggested, wanting to have another chance of doing some aerial tricks to impress. people on the ground. However, Ray's tummy heavily disagreed with that notion.
"No, no, no, no. The answer is no." He stated firmly, wanting to keep the contents of his stomach inside him, particularly because he didn't want to spend all night puking when he had been promised something much better.
"Ah, yeah, of course, the answer is no," Henry smirked, setting the trap for Ray's ego. The superhero hated being accused of cowardice or being a stick in the mud, he was Captain Man, for Christ's sake, he could handle anything. Hopefully.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Ray asked in confusion, wondering what his sidekick was on about.
"That you're against fun," Henry answered simply, shocking Ray in indignance. "What?"
"You hate fun. You're a fun-killer." The boy went on, knowing that the man wouldn't be able to resist, not when he prided himself on being a fun, chilled-out guy.
"What? I love fun." Ray corrected him, thinking about all the times they'd had a good time and he was the instigator. This boy was chatting shit.
"Then let's fly over Junk-N-Stuff. You might see (y/n)..." Henry grinned, dealing the final blow and Ray couldn't help but agree. "No, 'cause I think we should fly over Junk-N-Stuff."
"No, 'cause that's what I wanted to do," Henry argued back, not realising that Ray's fun side stemmed and often coincided with his childishness, so as usual, the two fell into an argument.
"Yeah, after I wanted to."
"What?"
"J-just be quiet and fly over Junk-N-Stuff, so we can have some fun, okay? I'm just trying to have fun, okay? I mean unless you're against fun." Ray ranted, making Henry look at him weirdly. What had gotten into him?
"Nah, I'm pro-fun." The boy replied. wondering why his boss was getting so irate.
"Oh, sure, sure. 'Cause--'Cause I'm pro-fun." Ray had no idea where he was going with this, he just wanted this helicopter flying lesson from hell to be over, not that Henry would agree; he was having way too much fun.
"What?"
"Just fly."
~Back in the store~
The cleanup operation had begun. As soon as that damn cotton candy machine fell silent, Jasper, (y/n) and Charlotte got to work scraping up armfuls of pink fluff and dumping out outside, where there was now a mountain of the sweet treat.
"Ugh, moving a thousand pounds of cotton candy is hard work." Jasper groaned as he picked some of the stickiness from his sweater and panted for air. His arms were tired, but they weren't finished yet. The shop was still a mess.
"Well, y'know what'll make it easier next time?" Charlotte asked him in her "I think you're dumb" voice, but Jasper being Jasper, didn't pick up on it.
"What?" He responded, hoping that they would get a digger or something to scoop up the cotton candy so they wouldn't have to do it manually.
"If you don't dump ten entire jugs of cotton sugar into the machine all at once. Just a thought." (y/n) answered as she dropped another load of cotton candy onto the pile and picked a wisp of it from her hair. There was no doubt - they'd be finding this shit for months to come.
"You know, anyone can criticise." Jasper disregarded their comments, preferring to think that he was an undiscovered genius or something.
"Yeah, but we're really good at it," Charlotte replied, smiling sweetly at Jasper, who pouted at her words.
"Okay, you two, come on. I'll get that cotton candy over there and you guys can grab that pile." (y/n) rolled her eyes and gestured for them to follow her into the shop. She and Charlotte each took a heap of cotton candy and began to ball it into lumps that they could carry, but when Jasper tried to work on his, he screamed in fear. "AHHH!"
"What?" Charlotte asked in worry, wondering what had spooked him. Was it another mouse? 'Cause, she was not going to be the one to trap it this time.
"I--I felt something! There's an animal in there!" He whispered, not wanting to rouse the beast that slept in its pink, fluffy lair. he must've forgotten who was candy-swimming earlier.
"An animal?" Charlotte looked at him tiredly, knowing that he had the wrong end of the stick as usual.
"Or, maybe it's just..." (y/n) sighed and walked over to the pile and parted it until she revealed...
"Piper?"
"Oh my god!" The teens gasped at the sight of the little girl. Her eyes were glazed over and she had a sickly pick-coloured stickiness around her lips that told the coworkers that she'd eaten way too much sugar for a child her size.
"What's wrong with her?" Jasper asked (y/n), who knelt next to the girl and felt her pulse under her jaw. Yep, just as she suspected, it was rocketing under the influence of the pure sugar flowing through her bloodstream.
"Well, how do I put this?... I think...she's in a cotton candy coma. She's eaten so much sugar, she's pickled herself." The young woman answered, getting a little freaked out when Piper smiled through her pain at the thought of more of the delicious sweetness.
"Ohhh. I love it." Okay, that was creepy. What were they gonna tell Henry? He was flying over their heads at that very moment and if he came in...oh, god. He'd see his sister as a sugar zombie. Shit.
~In the helicopter!
"All right, this is officially the most fun I've ever had." Henry giggled as he and Ray continued on their course for the store, still unaware of the fiasco that was going on there. They were just enjoying the moment, well, one of them was.
"Yeah, just keep flying towards Junk-N-Stuff. I'm trying to make a list. for the supermarket." Ray told the kid as he stared at his PearPad. He was trying to remember everything (y/n) had asked him to buy, but with all the noise and an excitable teenager, that was easy said than done.
"Oh, sorry." Henry quickly said and fell silent, giving his boss some much needed time to gather his thoughts.
"'Kay, I need meat...I need peanut butter, crunchy. Assorted crackers..." Ray thought aloud as he typed everything down, but something had caught his sidekick's eye. Ray looked up in confusion, only to realise that because of Henry's absentmindedness, they were banking harshly.
"Henry!" He cried and grabbed the joystick before they could spiral to the ground. Geez, he turns away for one minute and it all goes to pot.
"What?!" The boy exclaimed, wondering what all the fuss was about. He wanted to look out of the window and he had everything under control, no biggie.
"You don't look through binoculars while you're flying a helicopter!" Ray told him, feeling his heart pounding in his chest. Concentration was everything up here, one wrong move and it was game over.
"Oh...but I saw some cheerleaders down there!" Henry grinned at the sight of the cute girls on the ground, wishing he could go and impress them.
"I don't care about---cheerleaders?" Ray asked in confusion, wondering why on earth his sidekick was so distracted, so he decided he need to see for himself. "Gimme those."
"What? Oh." Henry blinked in surprise as Ray tore the binoculars out of his hands and began to search the football field below, groaning when he saw the pretty teenagers rehearsing for the next game.
"Yeah, that is one cheerful group of young ladies." The man could understand why Henry was interested but he wasn't. First of all, he had a girlfriend and he was more than happy with her and secondly, he wasn't the kind of guy who flirted with freshman college students. That would be weird.
"Hey! Hey! Hey! I bet those cheerleaders would love to take a selfie with Captain Man and Kid Danger." Henry grinned, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively to try and convince Ray to let him pick up a few girls so he could get to work flirting. However, Ray wasn't too sure...
"Henry, you know, I'd like to stay in my relationship and picking up cheerleaders won't help that." He smiled sarcastically and patted the boy on the shoulder so they could just fly past.
"Please, Ray! If (y/n) finds out, I promise I'll tell her that I wanted the selfie, not you! Please, please, please!" Henry begged, desperate to do this since it had been ages since any girl had paid attention to him. He knew that (y/n) wasn't always completely secure in her and Ray's relationship and he'd hate to make that worse, but, this was on him. Ray had nothing to do with it.
"You promise? 'Cause I'm not interested in a bunch of giggling teenage girls." The man told him sternly, already shuddering at the thought of hurting his sweet girl again because he'd been stupid. He was trying to be a better man for her, but Henry wasn't making it easy. "I promise."
"All right, fine," Ray grumbled and they both swiftly popped a gumball and transformed into their heroic alter-egos. The sooner this was over, the better.
"Lookin' good, Captain Man." Henry grinned at his boss in the hope that buttering up to him would make this go smoother, but Ray was still a little nasty. What if (y/n) found out?
"Let's just get down there, Kid Danger." He grumbled, wanting to just snap a quick selfie with the girls and leave Henry to whatever he wished to do.
"All right, all right. I'll take us down and land by the cheerleaders." Henry agreed, sensing the man's annoyance, but the thought of him doing his first landing, near some very hurtable people, didn't sound good.
"Uh, no, no, no, no. Let--let me land." Ray tried to order him and grabbed the joystick, but Henry batted his hand away. He could do this, it was just a matter of slowing down the thrust and touching down gently. Easy-peasy, squeeze the lemon. "I can land."
"Have you ever landed a helicopter?" Ray questioned, knowing full-well that he hadn't. To be honest, the landing was the hardest part and not something he wanted the kid to experiment with so close to a bunch of civilians, (y/n) really would kick his ass then.
"Uh, well, no, but..." The kid stuttered, admitting the truth, but. he didn't think it mattered, He had to learn somehow, right? And cheerleaders seemed like the perfect reward for not dying.
"Okay, so you've never landed a helicopter, but somehow, you know exactly how to land a helicopter." Ray mocked him, making Henry roll his eye at his dramatics.
"Uh...I don't think it's that hard to land a helicopter." He bit back, making the superhero on his left scoff. There was that arrogance again.
"Well, it's very hard to land a helicopter," Ray told him, wanting to just grab the controls and fly them home before they got into trouble, 'cause it was gonna happen. Trouble was always one step behind them.
"And that's why I'm gonna do it," Henry replied, flicking a few buttons so he could begin the descent, but Ray could see straight through him.
"You just want to land so you can show off in front of those cheerleaders!" He argued, knowing that it was exactly what Henry wanted to do because it's what the old Ray would've wanted too. But he wasn't that guy anymore, he didn't need to turn to subpar placebos to nurse his aching heart, because he had his dream girl and he'd learnt his lesson. No more play-boy lifestyle for him.
"Hey, guess what? You're right, I helped you get your girlfriend, now help me get one." Henry said firmly, not budging from his seat even when Ray unbuckled his seatbelt and gave him a stern look.
"Yeah and I'd like her to stay my girlfriend, now switch places with me so I can land this thing safely." The man ordered, drawing a disbelieving laugh from his sidekick. Yeah, right, like (y/n) would ever leave him over something this dumb.
"What? No! No!" Henry growled and wiggled his butt so he was firmly wedged into the padded chair. He wasn't moving an inch.
"Hello, this is your Captain speaking, now get out of that seat!" Ray yelled over the tannoy, trying to use his status as the leader of the Man-Cave team to get the kid to shift, but he just wouldn't.
"No! I wanna land it myself!" The teen snapped, making Ray shout and yank at his arm to try and move him. Henry yelped as an extremely heavy man crawled over his body and tried to force him out of the seat, but he wasn't going without a fight.
Meanwhile, down on the ground, Charlotte, Jasper and (y/n) were cleaning up the last of the cotton candy and the huge mountain was ready for dousing with the hose.
"Hey...I think that's the helicopter Ray rented." Charlotte gasped when she saw the familiar aircraft hovering above their heads. She recognised the stickers on the fuselage, it was definitely them.
"Oh, yeah, I wonder if he's come back so I can kill him." (y/n) mumbled, still not over the fact that her boyfriend had left them on top of Mount Swellview. He'd regret that decision tonight when she dragged out every movement of her hips and secured his wrists in the super-handcuffs she'd designed. Not even Captain Man could break out of them...perfect.
"Let's wave!" Jasper suggested, hoping they be able to see them on the ground, so he, Charlotte and a reluctant (y/n) began to signal the helicopter excitedly.
"Hey, guys!"
"Hiiiii! Look at us!"
"Oi! Down here!" No luck, Ray and Henry were still too busy fighting over who got to land and it was getting out of control. The helicopter was swaying and. dipping. from Ray's jerky movements, worrying those watching on the ground.
"Outta that seat! I am the man, you are the child! Do you understand?!" Ray bellowed as he tried to unclip Henry's belt, but the boy reacted on instinct and shoved his boss away from his body, failing to remember that there was a massive open door next to him. Ray screamed in fear as he fell through the clouds, leaving Henry to panic about how he just assaulted his boss.
"It's okay, it's okay. It's okay, it's all good. He's indestructible...so it's not a problem that he flew outta the helicopter...(y/n) will make him feel better...gross." He panted to himself, trying not to go into a panic attack as he left his boss behind and headed for the football field.
"Hey, did Henry and Ray throw something out of the helicopter?" Charlotte asked as the three on the ground frowned at the speck leaving the craft. It was tiny, but rapidly getting bigger and they couldn't for the life of them work out what it was.
"Yeah...looks like a...a Captain Man action figure." Jasper guessed, not taking into account perspective or anything. (y/n), however, suddenly had a very bad feeling in her gut as the figure got closer and closer.
"Oh, yeah. It does." Charlotte nodded happily, just as their ears began to pick up on Ray's faint screaming. "Do you guys hear something?"
"Uh, yeah, sounds like...that's not an action figure!" Jasper yelled as he realised that the thing he thought was a toy was actually his boss, hurtling towards solid concrete.
"Holy shit, it's Ray!" (y/n) swallowed in fear as her boyfriend's face started to become clearer. Shit, he'd be fine, of course, if he hit the ground, but that didn't mean it wouldn't hurt like a bitch. "We have to help him!"
"Uhhhh..." Jasper tried to think of something useful: a jetpack, no, a mattress, no, giant swimming pool, no! Nothing was helping but they only had a few seconds to think before Ray went splat.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Charlotte suddenly snapped her fingers as she thought of something brilliant and they could do with a bit of brilliance.
"What? What? What?!" (y/n) asked her urgently, needing to save her handsome doofus before she had to watch him groan in pain on the sidewalk. She wasn't sure if she could take that.
"He's gonna land on the cotton candy!" She smiled, making (y/n) breathe a sigh of relief. Sure, it seemed crazy, but they had enough of it and it was soft and springy the perfect landing target.
"Oh, yeah! This is perfect!" Jasper grinned at the idea as he and the girls took shelter in the doorway of Junk-N-Stuff. They didn't want to be in the way of the superhero, a collision could be fatal.
"This is so serendipitous!" (y/n) bit her lip happily, using her fanciest words since she felt so elated. Ray was seconds away from landing now and heading straight for them.
"Oooh, he's about to land! Right here!" Jasper yelled and pointed to the unmissable cotton candy pile next to him as (y/n) and Charlotte began to yell at the superhero encouragingly.
"Come on, Ray!"
"You'll be fine, sweetheart, I swear!"
"Right into that big pile of--" Shit. Even their directions and kind words couldn't make Ray move through the air, he had no propulsion. They cringed as they watched him land directly next to the soft mountain and (y/n) choked up at his pained groan.
"So close," Charlotte said awkwardly as the young woman rushed to her boyfriend's side and gently put her hands on his shoulders.
"Raymond, are you all right?" She asked softly, not knowing how to help him since the damage was already done. He clutched a handful of cotton candy and looked up into her worried eyes, feeling like every inch of his body was on fire.
"Owwwwwww! I'm okay, sweet girl..." He mumbled drunkenly, gazing at her like he'd drank ten rounds and gone back for another five. Her poor baby, he looked so done.
"Are you sure? You don't look okay..." She told him shakily, watching as he crawled over to the cotton candy pile and flopped down into it,  letting the softness take his weight. This felt nice like he was floating on a cloud and when she leaned over him to see if he had a concussion, it was like he'd died and gone to heaven.
"You look like an angel, sweet gir---" He trailed off, very very tired suddenly as the pain faded, leaving his muscles twitching and exhausted. She stopped at his words, recalling how he'd uttered them the last time he'd taken a strain, back when he'd nearly frozen to death in Alaska. Maybe he always saw he like that when his brain didn't want to work.
"You need to get in bed, doofus. Your body needs to rest after falling from the helicopter." She sighed, admittedly loving the flattery, but she couldn't let him sleep outside, not when anyone could walk past and see that he was Captain Man.
"I'll move if you give me a kiss, angel." He smiled dreamily, making her roll her eyes and press her lips to his as Jasper and Charlotte wandered off to find a wheelbarrow or wheelchair for the man. They had to move him somehow.
"Happy now?" (y/n) asked Ray as she pulled away, giggling when he stuck out his lips for another kiss. No fair, he wasn't done with the first one.
"I'm always happy with you, my sweet girl---" His head flopped back into the fluff, making her pleased that he couldn't see her flushed cheeks. It was weird after nine years together he could still make her blush like a teenager, make the butterflies in her stomach go crazy, but that was just them.
Ray and (y/n), the sweet girl and the doofus, together forever.

Seeing Stars Part 14 | Eddie Munson
An emotional, fluffy, vulnerable start to the holiday season! Star reacts brashly when Dustin gets in a fight. Star in her anger reveals details about her ex to both Eddie and Steve. The odd couple try to stop her from making bad decisions and fail. It leads to a deep discussion with Eddie where they both realize Star is experiencing some exciting and confusing changes in her behavior and their dynamic. Star fits right in with the Munson men, inviting them over for Thanksgiving where she indulges openly in her domestic goddess fantasy. It awakens something in Eddie, and Star is so caught up in her own perfect homemaker fantasy that she doesn't see how she's already got an adoring husband in real life. Wayne talks to Eddie about making a move. Edddie knows. He knows. He will. Eventually.
TW/CW: Use of gay slur that starts with an f. A bully uses it. Talk of past SA. Not in detail. But a small revenge fantasy was fulfilled. We've got Steve, Hopper, Robin, Dustin, Robbie, and Wayne. Lots of FLUFF. A discussion about dom/sub power plays and how they fit into Eddie and Star's dynamic. No sexual content in terms of action, but sexual themes are discussed.
Part 1 if you missed it!
Tumblr media
The mid-November wind was sharp the moment you walked outside. The elements now required layers of protection. Luckily for Eddie, he had a best friend who knits. He was the warmest he’d been in years. She’d experimented with patterns and made ones with stars for herself and ones with flames for him. He had more than one scarf now, that first time in his life he could say that about himself. He’d wrapped the black and red striped one around his neck as he exited his van in front of Family Video. Star had her own in yellow, matching the back and yellow sweater she wore over her layers which included a turtleneck. Since she’d let Eddie give her a hickey, he had been very persuasive in giving her more.
“Let me dig through the poster bin first,” Star announced before making a straight line to the back corner where the posters that had been hanging in the store window were now for sale.
Robin was alone, it was early and no one else was in the store. Eddie sauntered up to the desk to talk while Star wandered.
“Are you wearing matching sweaters now? Aw, when’s the wedding.” She snorted out a laugh, not being able to keep serious.
“They don’t match. She’s got stars on hers, I’ve got the DM on mine.”
“She made you a sweater. AND you’re wearing it. That’s… well aren’t you precious.”
“It's a D and D sweater, of course, I’m wearing it. It’s also warm as hell. And soft. She’s made you shit too, you don’t have to ride my dick about it.”
“Touchy.” She rolled her eyes. “I have to make fun when my favorite dorks come in in matching sweaters. It’s like when moms make their kids match with their little outfits.”
“Ew. Let's not make us sound like siblings please.”
“Why? Because wanting to f-?”
“I DON'T CARE WHAT HE SAID, HENDERSON!” Steve’s enraged voice boomed into the store making the three bystanders jump. Dustin with his hat low was fast behind one of his best friends, his voice screeching in the way only a pubescent boy could.
“I had to, Steve! You told me not to take shit from anyone! I was NOT gonna take shit from fucking CARL??” He held his hands out following Steve in.
“When the person being an asshole is 2 feet taller and a hundred pounds heavier than you… you can take a little bit of shit!” Steve stood at the side of the square counter in the center of the store. He hit his hand on the scratched top, reminding all the onlookers of a father scolding their kid.
Dustin looked up bravely into Steve’s face, showing everyone the now swollen and purple battle scars the conversation was about.
“No! If I had let him walk all over me you would’ve said I should have stood up to him. You have to call bullies out or they’ll never stop.” He mocked Steve’s delivery, running his hand through his hair.
“Out of line, Henderson.” Steve barked back.
“Dusty?” Everyone turned to see Star with horror on her face, heading straight for the young man with increasing speed. She moved Steve out of the way with a hand and ripped Dustin’s hat off, sitting it on the counter before taking his face into her hands. “Baby what happened?! Who did this??” She demanded. Everyone but the object of her focus quirked up a brow at the motherly energy that surged out of her. “I’ll fucking kill them, look at you. My beautiful boy.” She cooed so sweetly and gently.
Robin looked at Eddie with a smirk. Are you jealous? Her head tilt asked. The purse of his lips and arrows eyes was her ambiguous answer.
“Carl Girdner,” Dustin answered through mushed-together lips. “He was talking shit and I had to stand up for myself.”
“Of course you did!” She said wholeheartedly.
“No! No, we are not enabling this!” Steve grabbed Star's shoulder to pull her away from Dustin. “This kid is HUGE. I don’t know that I could even take him!”
“You couldn’t.” Robin and Dustin both answer. Eddie covers his mouth to hide his laugh.
“Good to know I have your support!” He groaned and touched his temple. “You goddamn kids are gonna be the end of me.” His brow creased hard and he held his forehead. Star's attention immediately shifted to Steve.
“You okay?” She put her hand on his back.
“Yeah, these… damn headaches again. Whenever my blood pressure gets up because I have to deal with Dustin playing David and Goliath with the corn-fed strong man of 9th graders!”
“Are they bothering you again?” Her voice was quiet as she took him by the wrists and lowered them from his face. Everyone was watching with extreme interest. Eddie knew this side of Star, it didn’t fully surprise him.
“No, I’m fine. Really they’re just-“ he hissed and inhaled and grabbed the left side of his face again. “It’s got the halos and shit you were talking about.”
“Yeah, those suck. You need to calm down.” Steve scoffed loudly.
“Calm? Calm down?”
“YES!” Everyone shouted at him.
“Here.” Star dug into her purse and pulled out a joint. Steve went total narc and started looking around the store like a SWAT team would come out of the ceiling. “Go out back in the cold, breathe, smoke some of this. Then put this on your pulse points.” She handed him a small dark glass bottle. You remember where?”
“Yeah, yeah. I remember.” He grumped.
“Now go or it’ll get worse.” She softly ordered him and he met eyes with everyone watching.
“Shut up.” He said loudly before disappearing into the back.
“What the hell was that?”
“She’s like a horse whisperer but for… Steve.” Robin added.
“You know about Steve’s head injuries. Well, you don’t.” She looked at Eddie.
“That explains a lot.” He joked.
“Normally funny yes but he had the same stuff that happened to me happen to him. With the concussions and stuff, I told you about?”
“Oh.” Eddie winced. He mouthed ‘sorry’.
“You got the shit beat out of you like Steve did?” Dustin asked, never shy with his questions.
“I think the brick did most of the damage.” Star uneasily joked.
“Shit,” Robin whispered.
“A fucking brick? Jesus Christ.”
“I noticed Steve suffering the same way I did before I figured out what helped so… I’ve tried to help him out.”
“He doesn’t like it when people do that,” Robin smirked. “He gets all antsy then he gets real sappy.”
“Oh, I know.” Star chuckled. “Poor thing needs some glasses or something probably. But getting stressed out makes it worse. Which brings me back to you, young man.” Star pressed a finger to Dustin’s shoulder. “You need some doctoring up too.”
“Did this just happen?” Eddie made his way over to check out the damage.
“Yeah.” He grumbled as she looked him over. “At the gas station. Steve went in to get lunch before we came here and next thing you know!” Dustin threw his hands up.
“Did you start it?” She had a scolding tone.
“No!” He squawked.
“Okay, then what'd he say?” She had a tissue in her purse she wiped the crusty blood away with.”
“The usual textbook I’m insecure and projecting because I’m miserable and I don’t have the emotional maturity to handle my anger when I see other people happy.”
Star and Eddie both beamed at him.
“I’ve taught you well young padawan.” Eddie ruffled his hair.
“I’m glad my psycho-babble is contagious.” Star shrugged and licked her thumb before smearing tot on Dustin’s cheek.
“Okay, mom let's let the man breathe.” Eddie took her fussing hands into his and lowered them.
“I got the new issue of Fangoria and was enjoying it and laughing and talking to myself. Which is normal! I’d gone in while Steve pumped so I was on the sidewalk waiting for him when he came up to me and grabbed it. Took it and ripped it apart.
“Aw, shit dude. Fangoria is expensive, my condolences.”
“Thank you! See! That’s one reason I was mad. I had to order it! You can’t get that shit around here!” He started pacing as he retold his story. “Then he was all, what are looking at this shit with monsters, magazines are for looking at chicks. What are you some faggot? Like the rest of your freaky little friends?” He mimicked him with a deep voice he couldn’t quite manage. All three of the not-straight people in attendance winced. It wasn’t the first time they’d heard it but it wasn’t fun to hear in any context. “Then he made a weirdly graphic description of what he thought we all did at the club meetings. He was talking shit about both of you. Then he said…” he stopped and huffed. “He said something I don’t wanna repeat about what he’d do to you.” He looked boldly into Star’s eyes. “He went on a weird tangent once he remembered a girl was in the group. Going on about how he’d brain Munson and show you what a real man was. The guy is 14! I don’t understand how the Neanderthal brain works!” He squealed again. Eddie and Star eyeballed each other.
“Kid sounds like he needs therapy.” Robin broke the silence.
“And some respect for women.” Star's lips formed a tight line.
“Yeah all that’s… really fucked. Who says that?” Eddie added.
“Exactly! I could just let him get away with it.”
“Of course, you couldn’t, hun.” Star Pat his cheek.
“Are we condoning violence in the face of certain obliteration?” Eddie clarified.
“Yes, we are.” Star nodded and Dustin smugly smiled at Eddie.
“She’s right.” Steve appeared with sleepy eyes now in his work vest from the back. “But so are you, Munson. I don’t want the kid hurt. But also this Carl guy needs his balls bashed in.” He looked a lot better, he didn’t have smoke coming out of his ears anymore. “Here you go.” He handed the bottle back to Star. “The joints under the loose brick out back if you want it.”
“No, you keep both.” She closed his hand and put hers over it.
“Nah this is a whole bottle of your own stuff, I know these oils aren’t cheap, take it.”
“No. You need it more. I can make more.”
“Star.” Steve sighed.
“Just take it, man.” Eddie gave him a knowing nod.
“Thanks.” He put the bottle of oils in his pocket. “You look better.” He nodded to Dustin weakly.
“And you look high.” Dustin giggled.
“That’d be because I am a little high.” Steve smacked his lips. “Helps with the…” he wiggled his finger at his head. “Stuff.”
“At least you aren’t lecturing me anymore.”
“I could but… ya know. No point. You were right and wrong and so was I. There’s no black and white to situations like this.”
Eddie tilted his head at Steve, considering how odd it was that he was agreeing with him. Things had changed so much in such a little amount of time.
“I think Dustin was in the right, personally,” Star said,
“We know you love enacting justice Batman but this is Hawkins. Not Gotham. You can’t swoop in and punish baddies and disappear unscathed into the night.” Eddie turned to Star.
“Was all of that English?” Steve quietly asked Robin.
“Comic books.” She explained. Steve gave a knowing nod.
“No, but I’m not going to let someone hurt my friend. Especially when it was over something nonsensical. And when it’s not a fair fight. Plus there’s the aspect of protecting my own name.”
“Star it doesn’t matter. The kid is talking out of his ass. That’s what dumbass little boys do. Talk big shit about girls. It means nothing.”
“Someone saying they want to force themselves on me is nothing?” She solidly squared up to Eddie and everyone took a step back.
“Oh shit,” Dustin murmured, moving back behind Steve.
“You KNOW that’s not what I meant.”
“It’s what he meant.” Star snapped back, her hands in fists, and Eddie’s up and opened in defense of himself. “What’s this fucker look like?” She turned on her toes to Dustin.
“Don’t,” Eddie said and she shoved him back with her ass, getting an OOF out of him.
“He’s as tall as Steve Star you can’t take him.”
“I’ve taken Steve down before. I’m not concerned.” Steve let out a dumb giggle before reading the room.
“You WHAT?” Dustin asked.
“What’s he look like? What was he wearing?” She asked for clarification.
“He’s a hundred pounds heavier than me Star, you can’t take that kid down.” Steve shook his head.
“Okay, he’s big. I’ve done big before. I’m a big girl. I can handle it.”
“In what world are you big?” Eddie exclaimed, standing taller and looking down at her. She put a hand on his chest to keep him at a distance. “Am I the crazy one here?”
“No, Star is very much average. I mean, you look at her and you’re like yeah she’s not tall, she’s not short. She’s not skinny, she’s not fat. She's just right there in the middle. Normal.” Steve said casually with a shrug.
“Steve!” Robin slapped his arm thinking he was out of bounds.
“What? It’s true!” He said defensively.
“I will go to that gas station and ask every guy there who they are until I find him. I can waste my time or you can let me do this and we can get on with our day.” Dustin sighed and stepped out from behind Steve.
“Red curly hair. Freckles. He was wearing a white striped shirt.”
“DUSTIN!” Eddie said with full lecture energy.
“She’s not going to stop. She’s serious. She has a right to defend her honor.”
“It’s not the goddamn Middle Ages!” Eddie screeched.
“Guy's right. We don’t want you hurt Star.”
“Or in JAIL for assaulting a MINOR? HELLO? Is anyone here seeing this but me??”
“Oh shit, he’s right. That’d be bad.” Steve’s eyes went a little wide.
“Well, my sugar daddy Steve can bail me out.” She said sarcastically as she turned and started out of the store.
“Heh.” Steve dumbly laughed. “She called me daddy.” He looked around to see no one else laughing. “C’mon no one else thinks that’s funny?” He complained.
Eddie stormed out after her.
“Steve, you don’t have any money. You can’t bail her out.”
“Oh shit,” Steve said slowly.
“Yeah. Oh shit,” Robin repeated.
“Yeah, I should go try to stop this.” He nodded and jogged after the two sped walking down the street.
“Guys! Wait up! Hell, how’d I get out of shape?” Steve groaned as he ran.
Star was digging through her purse.
“Unless you brought a gun nothing in there is gonna help you,” Eddie growled, hovering over her.
“I made it out of Chicago alive as a teenage girl who had to walk home alone at night. I lived after Bobby beat me to shit all those times. I will Be FINE! If I can handle a 26-year-old man I can handle a 14-year-old boy.” She shouted.
Eddie and Steve both stood shocked.
“Who the hell is Bobby?” Steve asked now angry on her behalf.
“Is that his name?”Eddie asked now conflicted with too many emotions at once. He towered over her, leaning in too close, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Yes!” She barked out. Her face was as red as a tomato from cold and anger. She was heaving as she breathed in big breaths. Eddie and Star held a long intense stare at each other and Steve felt entirely out of the loop.
“W-who is…. Bobby? What did I miss?”
“My piece of shit ex-boyfriend,” Star answered, her harsh face softening for a moment.
“Ohhh.” He nodded and bit his lip looking back and forth between them.
Star's mouth opened before she blinked and shut it; turning again to head around the corner.
“Star you can’t do this.”
“I can. And I will.”
“I know I drive a BMW and you give me a lot of shit about it but I don’t actually have any money. My parents do. I work at Family Video, I make less than you do probably at the diner, I can’t bail you out if this goes south.” Star huffed as both men followed her.
“I was joking, Steve. You’re not gonna have to bail me out. This will be quick and dirty.”
“What are you gonna do?”
“Make him sorry.” She said quietly which made it worse.
“You’re a little scary Star. Has anyone ever told you that?” Steve leaned past Eddie to get a closer look at her.
“Thank you.”
“Wasn’t a compliment!” Steve laughed nervously, running his hand through his hair.
The two men knocked into each when she stopped. Then they looked across the street.
“Shit.” They both said. There he was, in the same place as he was before.
“Star you’re gonna get hurt,” Eddie said with a break in his voice.
“No.” She insisted and revealed brass knuckles now on her hand. ”I won’t.”
“Fucking… shit. Man.” Steve said in surprise and fear. “Why the hell do you have brass knuckles??” He whispered harshly.
“For occasions such as these.” She nodded his way before turning to step off the curb and Eddie grabbed her arm.
“Star I can’t let you do this.” She turned with all the confidence in the world and grabbed Edie by the balls. Literally. He whimpered and his knees knocked. Steve immediately in reaction also covered his. “He’s a stupid kid. He probably doesn’t even remember what he said anymore. It’s not worth it.”
“Is it not?” She kept her firm tight and he grunted her name asking for mercy. “He said the same things to me. You know that? The same things this snot-nosed kid did. Because his whole life he went with no one having the balls to correct him. And he threatened me and I wasn’t strong enough to do anything about it. And guess what happened Eddie? He did exactly what he said he would. Because no one fucking stopped him.” She had tears in her eyes. Eddie’s eyes went wide, his face shifting into sadness from anger. “So you’re going to look me in the eye and tell me it’s not worth it?” Steve was confused, high, and trying to piece the puzzle together from their weirdly coded conversation.
“Star, sweetheart…” he sighed and slumped, chin jutting out to look up to her from his bent posture. “I don’t want you hurt, or worse, please.” He begged. Steve heard it in Eddie’s voice. He’d sounded like that before. Back when Nancy left him. Suddenly Steve had a clearer picture of what was going on here.
“If no one tells him this is wrong he’ll keep thinking it’s alright. And there will be a 16-year-old girl, just like I was, who isn’t brave enough to stand up for herself. And he’ll do to her exactly what was done to me. And I can save that girl the hell I went through.” She released him to wipe her tears off her face.
“Fine.” He grabbed his crotch and stepped back, taking a deep breath. He understood it, but he didn’t have to be happy about it.
“Don’t tell Dustin about anything you just heard, okay?” She looked up at Steve and sniffled.
“Yeah, no, of course.” He motioned, crossing his heart.
“Let him think this is about him. Because I’d knock this dumbass's block off for hurting him too.”
“I uh yeah I get it.” Hesitantly agreed. He’d done much crazier things for the kid.
They watched her walk across the street.
“You okay?” Steve asked his hand on Eddie's shoulder.
“I think so. Don’t think I’ll have to worry about ever having kids though.” He whistled in an exhale.
“I had to watch Nancy run off and do stupid shit and get herself hurt. I get it, man.”
Eddie ripped his eyes away from Star to look at Steve.
“What?”
“Nancy? Wheeler? We dated?”
“Yeah no, I got that.”
“It’s like you and Star. And don’t tell me it’s not you’re full of shit. I heard the same thing in your voice that was in line when I begged Nancy not to go. You can’t fool me, Munson.”
Eddie purses his lips and watches Star step into the parking lot.
“You know… you’re a lot smarter than people give you credit for,” Eddie muttered.
“Thanks, man.” He patted his new friend's back. He knew he was just as pathetic as he was now. There was solidarity in it for Steve. “I really appreciate that.”
“Don’t mention it.”
Steve smiled happily at the weirdly somber and intense situation.
“No seriously don’t mention it to anyone.”
Steve nodded enthusiastically to show he understood. Eddie smirked at his reaction but Steve had already seen the soft side of Eddie.
“Oh shit.” Steve’s face paled and Eddie’s eyes darted around. “Hoppers Bronco is here.”
“Oh fuck.” Eddie covered his mouth looking at Star. It happened quickly, as she said it would. The very not physically threatening Star stomped up to the overgrown bully. In handmade knits and a skirt, she didn’t look threatening with her, as Steve had said, average stature.
“God damn,” Steve said surprised, his hand still on Eddie’s back from comforting him earlier. They watch Star button hit the guy after a brief conversation. Right in the jaw. The guy went to his knees where she promptly kicked him in the balls. “Oof.” They both groaned. She was screaming at him and he was crying. It looked like the job was done. And it would have been if Star hadn’t been so triggered. But she was. So all she saw was her ex, so she kept kicking the kid in his body after he was down.
“HEY! HEY! WHAT THE HELL?! BREAK IT UP!” Hopper's booming voice hit everything within eyesight as he shouted, coming out of the gas station with a donut in one hand and coffee in the other. “Hey, kid!” He shouted as he chose to set the coffee mug on the cue machine and shove the donut in his mouth.
“We should-?” Steve pointed across the street and the two concerned protectors shared a glance.
“Yeah. Yeah, we should.”
-
Hopper has not expected to see such a young girl take on a kid almost as big as he was. She put up a hell of a fight getting her into cuffs when she wouldn’t calm down. He put her in the back of the bronco where she was still shouting as he walked away. It was always the little women that put up the biggest fight.
He saw an odd couple of Munson and Harrington trotting up to him.
“You two wouldn’t have anything to do with this would you?”
“Hey, Hopper.” Steve nervously waved.
“Yeah we uh, can explain. Chief. Sir.” Eddie added both pink-cheeked and breathing heavy.
“You know her?” He motioned to his bronco.
“Yeah. She’s my friend.” Steve nodded.
“Mine too,” Eddie added.
“More than a friend,” Steve smirked.
“Now Steve? Really?” Eddie raised his voice.
“Harrington. Here. Munson. Go check on your girlfriend. Doors unlocked.” He said calmly but loudly.
“Yes sir.” He scurried off.
“So… why is that tiny little chihuahua beating the hell out of this Saint Bernard?”
“Ugh, where do I even start.” Steve rubbed the bridge of his nose.
Star and Eddie watched as Steve animatedly talked to Hopper.
“Who knew he was in so good with the police?” Star mused.
“Well, they were all in that big mall fire together.”
“Mall fire?”
“Oh yeah, you weren’t here. People died it was a whole disaster.” Eddie said with concern on his face. Star knew it must’ve been bad.
“Steve mentioned it. With his head trauma.” Star quietly explained. “Didn’t know that many people were involved.”
“The government flew in and all kinds of weird shit.”
“So much for Hawkins being a town where nothing happens.”
“Only weird shit,” Eddie concluded as they both watched in silence for a moment.
“Do we have a token white boy now? Is that what Steve is?"
“I think if anyone is your token white enjoy it’s me.” Eddie raised a brow.
“Well you’d be mine, yeah but I said we. As in ours. A rich white boy to talk to the cops. We’re just trailer trash.” She chuckled.
“Then yeah you’re right. Never had one of these before.” He shrugged.
“Me either.”
“He didn’t hurt you with the cuffs did he?” Eddie moves to look at her wrists.
“No, I’m fine.” She dismissed his concern. “Didn't think the chief of police would put me in cuffs before you did.”
“Really Star? Is now the time?” He rolled his eyes.
“Just an observation.” She shrugged.
“Munson!” He shouted and they both jumped. He motioned for him to join him.
“Wish me luck.” He dipped down and approached the towering man.
Now Star got to be out of the loop. Eddie was there to close a few plot holes in what backstory Steve had pulled up about Star and the ex she’d mentioned. She watched Hoper sigh, taking off his massive hat and rubbing his head. He walked to the kid who was pouting against the wall. They talked for a bit, then she saw Hopper smack his cheek and wag his finger in his face. Then all three of the older guys walked her way.
“So… you’re the newest member of the group huh?”
“Group?” Star asked.
“Ya know, Harrington and his parade of brats. Henderson, Sinclair, the Wheelers.”
“Oh, yeah.”
“They told me what happened.”
“I assumed.” She muttered.
“As hard as it is to believe I’m going to tell you to listen to these morons okay? They care about you. They don’t want you getting hurt. Munson is right. You can’t beat up kids. Even if they deserve it.”
“So I can beat up anyone over 18?” Hopper laughed at her fire.
“Within reason.”
“What if it was a reason like the one I had for this today?”
“I’d say that’s acceptable.” Star nodded and looked at the ground. “Look kid, I’m sorry about what happened to you. I’m not taking you in or anything. That little shit has a big mouth, just like his brothers and his dad. So I see your point. But if some kid's parents decide to press charges, not even I can get you out of that. You’ll be tried as an adult.”
“I know. I was underage when I had to go through the court stuff with my ex.”
“And he wasn’t, I take it?”
“No, he was not. He was old enough to know better.” She looked to the ground again and took a big breath. She hadn’t thought about the whole legal ordeal since it’d happened. Hopper gave her a solemn, knowing nod. He’d seen it plenty of times. He took the cuffs off her and helped her out of the back.
“They might not look like much but you’ve made some good friends. Listen to them. They’ll keep you safe. Or at the least out of my sight.”
“Yes sir.” She nodded as Steve reached out to pat her back. “Sorry.”
“I get it. I do.” He gave her a nod back. “But I’m keeping these.” he held up her brass knuckles and shook them. She sighed but gave an acknowledging nod of acceptance. “Be careful little Miss badass. Go take up a sport to get your anger out or something.”
“I’ll… think about that. Thanks.”
He sauntered over to grab his coffee off the ice machine and went back into the gas station.
“So.” Star turned to her saviors. “No harm done.” She offered up an uneasy laugh.
“Let’s get you home before something else happens.” Eddie took her by the hand and it stayed there until he put her into his van.
The van ride was tense. Not much was said. Star was feeling better, having gotten her emotions out and being on the other side of the whole ordeal. But Eddie wasn’t past it.
They stepped into her trailer together, she took off her layers, down to her tank top which she promptly covered with her sweater before turning the space heater back on. Eddie was taking his time, one layer at a time.
“Alright. Let’s get this over with.” Star said, standing in leggings, fuzzy socks, and her giant sweater. She motioned her hands as if she were challenging him but her voice was tired and defensive.
He looked at her with just his eyes, turned sideways still, and took off his shoes. He exhaled loudly and peeled another layer off, only a soft long-sleeved shirt left over his jeans. His posture was tall, and an odd sort of power was held in him. He continued to answer her with silence. He moved to the cupboard, finally getting closer to her. He looked her way, meeting her eyes then looked away to get a glass from the cabinet and get himself some water.
“Nothing?” She asked as he stood against the counter, drinking.
“What do you want me to fucking say, Star?” He sounded agitated now.
“Something. You’re mad at me. I figured you wanted to yell at me now that we’re alone. Thank you for not yelling at me in front of everyone else.”
“I don’t want to yell at you.” He shook his head, disappointed.
“But you’re mad?”
“It’s not that simple.”
“Then… explain it.”
“I’m mad. But not in the way you seem to think.”
“Are you going to say I’m not mad I’m disappointed?” She slightly mocked.
“You know what? Yeah, I am. Because it’s true. Because to be so damn smart you do some dumb shit.”
Star blinked in surprise.
“I’m going to be painfully honest Star. I’m probably going to hurt your feelings and I’m sorry for that but I have to say my piece.”
He watched her physically brace herself. He watched her curiously.
“Fine. Bring it.” She said with a challenging posture while he still sat lax against the counter.
“I know that bad things have happened to you. But guess what? Bad things have happened to me too. They’ve happened to everyone. But people like us? We don’t get to act on it.” he finished his water and sat it in the sink, walking over to her. “You know bad things happen to people like us and you do things that raise that probability in the name of doing what’s right. But the world doesn’t work like that and you know it. What we see as justice someone else is going to see as an opportunity to bring us down. Do you think most cops… most people care if a mother steals to feed her kid? Or someone robs a bank to have money for medical bills? No. They don’t. They won’t care what’s happened to you.” his eyes weren’t mad, there were no snarling or building veins like Star expected. He was annoyed, sure, but he was still being considerate. She didn’t know how to process his body language. It was new. “If you keep acting on your emotions because bad things happened to you. Then more, worse things are going to happen to you." he slumped and his eyes were no longer mad, only sad. "And one day something I can’t stop will happen and then where will you be? Do you want to go to fucking prison? You want to ruin both of our lives because your ex was a piece of shit?” He leaned in closer, holding her rapt attention. She was an unreadable wall as he spoke to her.
“Both of our lives?” her voice was so tiny it made Eddie’s throat tight.
“You’re so used to being independent.” he had a brief smile. “Now you have people who care about you and depend on you and you can’t go be some vigilante. If something bad happens to you, it happens to me. Got it? If you went to prison it would kill me. Understand? Not just because I'd feel like I failed to keep you safe but because you’ve worked so hard to have a life. And you’d throw it away because of the past. I need you to understand that you can’t give in to all your emotions. Not like you did today. Not even if it’s justified. Not when real, life-ruining consequences can happen.” He put his hands on her shoulders but they were gentle. Only their weight was felt. There was no shaking or blows to take. “I want so badly for you to learn that lesson. That you can’t give in all your negative emotions the attention they crave. They’re there because of bad people. Not because of you. And feeding them gives the bad people power over you. I know you don’t like feeling like someone has power over you. But for all you’ve learned about yourself, you can’t seem to learn that. And it hurts to watch. And I think I’m the one that’s supposed to teach you because I had to learn it the hard way.” he looked her over, her face not how he expected. “What?”
“You said not to give in to emotions.” she broke the long, intense eye contact they’d been holding.
“No I said not to give in to negative ones,” he said with a slight shrug, still no anger to be seen. She felt her body tight still, ready to take a hit whether it was emotional or physical. She knew Eddie would never hit her, but the reaction was still built in. She was disappointed in herself now.
“I’ve never had someone do this before. You took the time to explain why you’re upset. You didn’t yell or call me names. Or worse.”
“Id never do that.” his brow lowered and he raised his hand to her cheek gently.
“I know. And it’s… making me feel weird.” she shook her head and frowned slightly.
“Can you explain?” he let his hands move to her arms, rubbing them in an attempt to console her. He could see she was struggling.
“It’s… I don’t know it’s not something I’m familiar with. I’m… I feel… safe?” She offered.
“You should with me. You know that right?” he leaned in close and kept his voice neutral.
“I don’t know that I do. I expected you to yell or throw things because of what I did. I did fuck up. I get blind and don’t see that at the moment. You’re right.” she hesitantly agreed, staring into his chest.
“I’m glad you can see that now. Even if it’s a bit late.” he pursed his lips.
“But you’re… you feel different.” She touched his chest and she shook her head. “You’re so calm and collected and.. correct. You’re so smart and experienced and it comes off you in waves.” She moved her hands along his shirt, fingers light like she might find the answers in brail. “Anytime someone has tried to tell me what to do I want to fight it.” She watched her hands move down his chest to his stomach before she pulled them away. “But I… don’t.” She looked confused by her tilted head and creased brow. Eddie let her work it out, getting mixed signals himself. She wasn’t the only one confused. “This will seem out of left field but hear me out.” She said. “Remember when we talked about power dynamics? On my birthday?”
“The… BDSM stuff?” He was confused.
“Yeah. That.” She nodded. “It feels like that. Like…. I’ve always wanted to be the one to be in control. But when you were talking to me just now. And I don’t mean to undermine what you were saying because it was right and important and I thank you for it but it made me feel…” she struggled to find her words. “New. Different, I believe you. I trust you. I pushed back and you just… corrected me. Without making me feel bad. You make me feel safe and I don’t think I’ve ever felt that around a man before. I don’t mean Robbie, he’s my brother this is… very much not something you feel about your brother.”
“Oh,” Eddie said it so simply she was annoyed. He looked smug for a moment with a passing smile. “I think what you’re feeling is… and I’m assuming you mean it’s somewhat sexual right?”
“Yeah, it’s not totally sexual. That’s just what I can relate it to that I know about. Like I’m not thinking wow I wanna fuck you, but I am?” she wrinkled her nose. “But it has more feelings involved and I wanna…” she held out her hands for the answer.
“You’ve never felt submissive before because you've had to fight to survive. You don't now. ” Star rapidly blinked. Her eyes darted about as he watched her thought process move across her face. It might be the cutest face she has. “No one’s ever been a positive dominating force before with you. The real kind, the one that cares about you. Takes care of you.” he further explained.
“Is that it?” She whispered. “Well shit. Okay.” She said mostly to herself. “Because yeah, I want to do what you said. Because of how you said it and how you made me feel telling me. Because you were right. I’m impressed by you. I…” she cracked a smile. “I want to act right for you.” She laughed. “I don’t want you mad or upset with me. And I agree with what you said so I want to do that. For you. Well for me too obviously but it benefits us both.”
“I knew you’d come around.” He gave her cheek a soft stroke to which her eyes shot to his, looking more frightened than she meant them to. “You’re so sensitive, Star. But I know you’re stronger than you are sensitive. You're so used to fighting everyone because you can't rely on them. You don't have to anymore. I'll look out for you. You can trust me, trust my advice. You can do it. It’ll take work but you can do it. I’ll help you.”
“See? Exactly like that.” She whispered, her eyes softening.
“I know.” He grinned. “ I get what you’re saying now.”
“I’m glad one of us does.”
“You don’t have to worry your pretty little head about it, sweetheart. I’ll think for you if you want.” His fingers rest on her chin, holding her face up to look at him.
Star's lashes flutter involuntarily before she scrunched her face up in surprise at herself.
“Oh.” she barely got out, her eyes going wide.
“Oh?” he gave her another smile, but it was the goofy sort she was used to seeing on Eddie’s face.
“That’s…” her voice was raspy. He could see her throat bob as she swallowed nervously. “That’s really doing something.” she made a nervous sound as she shuddered, staring at his lips. He licked them, letting her watch. A cocky look came across his face that she didn’t understand. “Sexual.”
“You want to talk about it? We can figure it out together.”
She nodded enthusiastically.
“Do I have permission to touch you?” Another fast nod. He wrapped his arm around her waist to pull her to him. “On the nonsexual side of things, I believe you’ve discovered today that you can trust me. That you can make a mistake and I won’t hurt you. And that seems to be something you’re new to. Would that be right?” his voice was warm and deep and soothing as he looked down at her, casually touching her to move her hair from her face and shoulders.
“Yeah.”
“And that awakened something in you, sexually. Because you’re sexually attracted to me. Because you're a very sexual person. It's how you relate to the world around you.
“Right.”
“I think what’s happening is that for the first time you’re in the position to be subservient to anyone. Willingly, I mean. You have the privilege to be able to relax, and trust. I think being dominant isn’t about what people think it is. I’ve read about power play. You can use it in everyday situations. What being dominant is about is taking care of someone. Giving them what they need whether they know what that is or not. And you’re feeling cared for.”
“That sounds so sad,” she whispered.
“It is,” he admitted. “However, that’s not you anymore is it?” He cupped her cheek.
“Right.” she gave a soft lopsided smile to him.
“You have people you can trust now. You have me. And we’re… sexually involved so it makes sense that that is bleeding over into sex for you. You are a very sexual person. I think my want to take care of you as a person, is related directly to how we are in bed. And now that something clicked in your head about me, it’s changed how to feel about us together in bed. So, that leads me to believe that you’d want to be taken care of. In a submissive way. Being told what to do, and wanting to do it. Trusting in my judgment that I’ll make the right decisions for you so you don’t have to overthink everything.”
“It does feel like my brain is quieter.”
“Perfect. Then we’re on the right track,” he said supportively.
“I’ve never done that before. You’ve called me a good girl and that’s the subbiest I’ve ever felt.” she bashfully admitted.
“That’s part of it. A small part. What I’m wondering is if you’re looking for the disciple aspect. You said you wanted to do what I said when I corrected you.”
“I did. I do. I don’t like upsetting you.”
“And I don’t like upsetting you.” he kissed her forehead and she felt her stomach whump. “Let’s apply what happened today to sex. We had a hard conversation. That’s over with. We talked it out. With power dynamics, things outside the bedroom can be involved in the bedroom. Would me correcting your behavior be something you’re into?”
“I’m not following.”
“I’ll let you know what I'm thinking. Say… I took my frustrations about you not listening and physically disciplined you over it. You like spanking right? Would you want me to do that to you because you were a bad girl? Because you need to make it up to me to be a good girl again?” Star’s knees knocked at the combination of words.
“I-” she let out a deep nervous laugh Eddie had never heard before. “You wanna- me and -” her eyes were wide and her heart started racing. Her mouth hung open, the beginnings of plenty of words happening but not coming to fruition. She shut her mouth and made a humming sound to collect herself. “Yes.” she nodded one single time. “From my reaction, I think that it’s obvious that I was taken aback by what that just did to me. It feels like a lot.” she blinked and stared away from him, she was trying to process. When she looked back at him, the smirk on his face made her embarrassed because she knew it was from how pathetic she was being.
“Maybe that’s why you’ve been into pain this whole time. You want to be punished.” Star gulped.
“I wanted pain because it’s what I was used to.” she realized. “I do like it though. It feels good.”
“Of course you do, sweetheart.” another caress of her cheek made her sigh deeply. “You know you’re a bad girl and you need me to show you how to be a good girl don’t you?”
“God dammit,” she whined and rubbed her face. “I don’t know if I can handle this. I’ve never had words do this to me before. It feels very complicated. I'm horny but also scared. ” she confessed.
“At first it will. It’s new. But I am… more than happy to explore this with you if you want.”
“Don’t take this the wrong way. But you seem so calm. And normally we’re both a mess.”
“When I can focus on something, it helps. And I can focus on things I like. In this instance, you.” he gave a flirty smile she immediately reciprocated. “And I happen to know a lot about this too. Maybe not as much in practice but I’ve read a lot so I feel like I know what I’m doing enough to not be as nervous about it as I should.” his transparency had always comforted her.
“Maybe right now isn’t right. I’m feeling overwhelmed.” she frowned. “I love the idea! It’s just been a hell of a day already and I don’t know if starting some new sex thing is the best idea. I need to read on it or something. I only pretend to be spontaneous. I’m not actually, I’m always scared.” she grumbled. “This feels like a therapy discussion. It’s all a little too on the nose with my issues with not having a dad. I think I should talk this out before we get into this.” she chewed her lip. “I’ve been told that I tend to use sex as an unhealthy coping mechanism. I don’t want this to be that.”
“That’s fine. You’re probably right. I forget it’s different for girls. The dad stuff. Or I forget your situation because we’re so similar I keep thinking your dad is in jail too.” he admitted with a laugh.
“To be fair he could be. I act a lot like my mom, but she wasn’t as…” she sighs. “Angry as I am. That could be pop's DNA dropping in to complicate things.”
“On the plus side, he could be a total lunatic and you’re actually doing really well to have his genes,” Eddie added with a laugh.
“I might go with that one. That one makes me feel better.”
“Good. That was the whole point anyway.” he squeezed her and she happily wrapped her arms around him, mushing her cheek to his chest. Eddie’s ability to make her feel good might be something she needed to talk about in therapy too. Or was she overthinking yet again? Could she let herself enjoy anything without psychoanalyzing it now? She closed her eyes and sighed, letting him hold her. It was hard to live inside her head sometimes.

As Eddie walked up the stairs to his trailer he could hear giggling. Specifically Stars happy giggle. He was flush with testosterone at the outlandish thoughts of her being with someone else or someone else having the ability to have her make that sound. It was too dramatic to think that way, he knew that, but he busted through the door anyway.
He was met by Star and his Uncle looking up at him surprised. Records were strewn out on the floor and they had an old portable player sitting in the living room. Eddie blinked fast and realized his worries were unfounded. He was just as surprised to see them as they were him.
“Everything okay?” Wayne asked with an amused look on his face. Eddie let out an embarrassed huff of a laugh as he gently closed the door behind him.
“I don’t know, you tell me? You trying to steal my girl?” he smirked. Star immediately let out the same happy giggle. All was right in the world again.
“I might.” he grinned. “She’s got better taste in music than you.”
“From my own blood.” he clutched his chest as he sat his bag against the kitchen bar. “What are you doing home?”
“The delivery trucks crashed into each other at the docking and in the parking lot. It’s a total mess.” he rolled his eyes.
“I didn’t see your truck out front.”
“Star’s brother Robbie brought me back actually. Good guy. My truck is on the bad side of the parking lot where it’s currently stuck until they get their heads out of their asses long enough to clean it all up. Can’t work without supplies, and the supplies are all in the parking lot.” he chuckled. “I came home to Star here looking at my records.”
“We figured out that one of my fav songs is actually from one of the guys that he used to listen to! It’s the same name, but the songs are so different and I guess the guy reinvented himself or something? “
“That’s cool. Which one?”
“Dion.” she held up an old record with a guy looking like a clean cut stuck up leaning on a fence. It was very 50’s.
“You know that song, The Wanderer.” Wayne insisted as Edie kneeled to sit on the floor with them. “Lemme find it,” he muttered. A very round-sounding 50’s bop about being a ladies' man began and Eddie recalled it.
“Yeah, I remember that one. What’s his new song?”
“I play it a lot. Only You Know?”
“I don’t know. That’s why I asked?” he tilted his head.
“That's the name of the song!” she snorted.
“Ohhh, right right.” Eddie played it cool and Wayne couldn’t hold back his chuckle as he watched them. “I can’t place it. It’s not something that I listen to without you if this guy wrote it.
“It’s a very 70’s soft rock love song.” her eyes were bright and both the men at her sides were giving her the same smile. “I can sing it but I don’t want your ears to bleed.”
“Oh go on, kid. You can’t be that bad.” Wayne nudged her arm and she perked up.
“Okay, the chorus then?” she cleared her throat and tapped a beat on her leg. “Cause I know that you’ve been waiting. Been such a long time that you’ve been waiting. And Only you know where you have been to.”
“And only you know what you have been through.” Eddie finished the line and she bounced excitedly.
“Yes!”
“Yeah, that ones not bad.”
“This pretty bird can sing too?” Wayne grinned at Eddie.
“Oh hush.” she snickered and blushed.
“You’ve got her blushing old man, I better get her away before she falls in love with you.” he smiled wide and hopped up.
“Eddie! We’re in the middle of this!” she squealed as he bent over behind her to lift her under her arms.
“I’ll put 'em up, darlin’, don’t worry about it. You do enough around here.” Eddie continued to drag Star who was cackling as she refused to stand, making Eddie walk back towards his room, her feet moving across the floor.
“Christ, Star,” Eddie grunted.
“You got yourself into this, Munson.” she giggled and Wayne felt a flutter of optimism in his chest. “Oh hold on!” she hopped up as he drug her past the kitchen. “I did want to ask if you had Thanksgiving off?”
“I usually work it. Get paid double time.”
“You sound like Robbie.” she grinned. “What about the Saturday after?”
“I’m off then, yeah.”
“Good Robbie is too. Would you wanna come over for dinner?” Eddies chin went into his neck in surprise.
“I think I’m a little old for you, sugar.” he laughed.
“I see where Eddie gets it from now,” she smirked and bumped him with her hip. “I wanted to invite you two over for Thanksgiving.”
“Really?” Eddie looked at her as she nodded with the perkiness of a cheerleader. He looked over to his uncle and shrugged.
“You sure? We wouldn’t wanna intrude.”
“No, don’t be silly. Eddie’s like family now and therefore you are too. I’ve never had a real Thanksgiving where I cook and all that stuff. I’d like to start though. I’d like you two there.”
“You’re as sweet as pie, Star.” Wayne put a hand to his chest. “Of course, we’ll be there.”
“I’ll even wear pants for the special occasion.” Eddie grinned like an idiot, his hands on his hips as Star snorted out a laugh and shoved him. Again Wayne felt that flicker in his chest. Maybe his boy would get the happy ending he deserved.

Robbie and Wayne sat in the living room watching football. They each had a cold beer and dinner was being made by their kids. It was a rather perfect picture for them.
The occasional loud noise of happiness would escape the kitchen. Where Star and Eddie were fixing dinner. It was certainly more of Eddie fetching things and Star sweating and using a chart she’d made to time all the food correctly. The table was starting to fill up, a modest 4-sided wood table in the corner of the kitchen they’d pulled out to accommodate two more people for dinner. Star had a cornucopia centerpiece she’d put together. Eddie had heard all about the myths surrounding it as she’d meticulously picked things from the produce aisle to decorate it. She had a lovely bouquet of autumn-colored flowers on the counter. A wreath she’d made with a little scarecrow she’d knitted adorned the front door. Star was making a home for herself for the first time. Eddie delighted in seeing her excitement over things he’d found completely trivial before. Like a tablecloth. She’d spent 10 minutes trying to decide what to get. He didn’t quite understand the joy she seemed to get from decorating the house. But he was supportive of it nonetheless.
Star let Eddie make his Munson Mac to go with the already too big and ambitious meal Star had planned. She cycled the last things into the oven, save the pie she’d already made in the fridge. She wiped her face and took a deep breath, taking off the frilly apron she’d been wearing over a burnt orange dress. She had tiny heels that looked like some victorian child's shoes Eddie thought. Brown shoes with brown tights matched her consistent 70s-themed clothing choices with the corduroy pinafore. She’d worn her hair up in curls. She’d made sure to beat Eddie off her neck the past week or so to make sure he wouldn’t ruin the outfit she had planned by putting a hickey on her. He’d pouted but of course, obliged her happily. She’d agreed he could give her one after Thanksgiving, anyway.
“Let them know we’re in the final countdown now. Less than half an hour and we eat.” She tossed the tea towel onto the counter and slouched against it.
“You got a little-“ Eddie laughed and whipped marshmallow fluff from the towel off her forehead. Without hesitation, he licked it off his finger.
“What was it? Was it good at least?” She asked with a tired smile.
“It’s all going to be great.” He says with loving eyes but a stern voice as he put his hands on her shoulders
“I’ve never done this before. What if I got the salt and sugar mixed up or something? Did we check?” She moves to look and he kept her in place.
“You didn’t. It’s all perfect Betty Crocker. You’re cooking for men who consider a turkey frozen dinner a full thanksgiving meal.”
“I just want you all to like it.” She said with a pout.
“We’re gonna love it. We love you. We love food. We love to eat. You can’t go wrong. Chill.”
As usual when it came to Stars' anxieties. Eddie was right. They were gonna love it.
“How much longer do you give ‘em?” Wayne tilts his head in the direction of the kitchen where Eddie standing with his hands on Star's shoulders could be partially seen.
“No idea. I told her the menu was too big but she was just so damn excited I couldn’t bring myself to tell her no.”
“I mean with them? Has she talked about him to you the way he’s talked about her to me?”
“Oh, that.” Robbie grinned. “She talks about him but she is in denial. Don’t tell her I told you this but Eddie’s family at this point so I feel like there’s a certain confidentiality we can have discussing those two love birds.”
“Of course.”
“We moved here to get her away from her ex-boyfriend. Total piece of shit. You name something bad he did it to her. That type. He turned some kids against her, as those older guys who hunt little girls do, and they hurt her and we moved to get her away. She’s got more baggage than O’Hare International. But she’s come a long long way. I’m proud of the little brat. Your boy Eddie has been a huge part of that. If you ever wondered if you’d raised a good man, you did.” Robbie cheered his beer to Wayne. “We know their nuts about each other right?”
“Nuttier than a couple of squirrel turds over each other.” Wayne chuckled.
“But she doesn’t realize it yet. She says she loves him but she does that silly thing where she’s all, oh not IN love I just love him to pieces and he’s the best and he’s so sweet and smart and funny.’ Like she’s trying to make me like the kid.” He laughed. “But it’ll happen. I think they’d be good together.”
“They’re good for each other. Eddie won’t shut up if I ask about it. Came to me for advice like he was young again. He’s ass over tea kettle for her.” He chuckled. “But he told me a little, I don’t know what she’s told him, mind you, but he knows she had a bad relationship and she’s been very open about how she doesn’t want to date. So he’s…struggling but keeping the faith.”
“She has never been happier than she has been since she met him. I can tell you that for a fact.” Robbie pointed his finger at the kitchen. As soon as fall hit? BAM she was little Susie homemaker in here with the wreaths and decorating. She’s never done that. And she’s been grinning like a moron. Buying throw pillows.” He chuckled. “She’s been nesting. It’s adorable.”
“Nesting?”
“You know how women get and they want to make a house a home. Give it a personal touch?”
“Yeah they usually do that before…” he leaned to whisper. “She’s not pregnant is she?” Robbie craned his neck to look at them in the kitchen.
“I like to think she would’ve told me if she was. But I get what you mean- nesting yeah. I don’t think it’s that kind. Plus I know she’s on the pill. If that eases your mind at all.”
“It does.” Wayne nodded and settled back in. “I know I tell him to be safe but you know young men.”
“If you think he’d be the problem you don’t know that young woman.” Robbie laughed louder.
“Especially when they’re in love.” Wayne mused.
Not much was said during the meal. Everyone was too hungry to do much besides eat. Star got her compliments in both words and seconds and thirds gotten.
Wayne and Robbie secured their places on the couch again. Many moans and groans were to be heard from the living room.
Star was vibrating with energy. She felt so content in the moment that she felt like she might explode out of her skin. Eddie stood beside her, still talking about the food because she would get so smiley and happy she’d get teary-eyed when he did. It wasn’t hard, it was the best Thanksgiving dinner he remembered having. They washed dishes and put up leftovers and packed away some for Eddie and Wayne to take home with them.
“Thanks for your help today.” She reaches out to put her hand over this as he sat down the last of the Tupperware.
“Don’t mention it. I got homemade food for days, we didn’t have to cook and we all got to spend time together for once. It was really nice.”
“It’s been perfect.” She took his other hand and he looked at her curiously. “I’ve never had a day like this before. Have you?”
“What do you mean?” He tucked a curl behind her ear. He got the feeling she needed him to be tender.
“The holidays. Like you see in movies. The people you love together. Big meal. Decorations.” Eddie understood her emotions a little better with her explanation. “I’ve never had it. And I always wanted it. Mom did what she could but she worked a lot and we were poor so a bucket of KFC was usually it. I’ve always been so jealous. I didn’t think I could ever get that, you know. And here I am. We still have Christmas!” She bounced on her knees while she looked the oddest combination of sad and happy.
“It never meant that much to me.” He answered honestly. “But getting to see it through your eyes and how much you love it makes me get it. It’s nice. It almost doesn’t feel real does it “
“Exactly!” She answered loudly. “It feels too good to be true. But it’s happening. And I’m living it. I’m doing it. I’m like the people in the movies.”
“That’d make you the too-gorgeous mom for the dumb dad who runs the house and has her husband wrapped around her little finger, huh?”
“It does.” She giggled. “Apron and all!”
“I guess that makes me the dopey husband?”
“You aren’t dumb though. I’d never marry someone dumb.”
“Good to know.” He looked at the freshly cleaned linoleum floor with a subtle grin and blush.
“Why? Are you wanting to play mommy and daddy?” She giggled with her tongue peaking behind a bright smile.
“Only always.” He gave her the smile the dopey husband does when he realizes his wife is perfect in a sitcom.
“Too bad this isn’t our little house then. Then we go off to our bedroom and no one could say a thing about it.” She whispered and put her arms around his neck. Putting his arms around her in response was something he did without even thinking.
“Maybe I can sneak back over later.”
“Maybe you should. I am feeling awfully domestic.” She tilted her head at him. “And if I recall, daddy is a role you’re interested in, correct?”
“Only in the terms discussed. Not interested in being an actual dad.” He chuckled nervously.
“You’re silly you know what I meant. I’m not going to be making you dad anytime soon don’t worry about it.”
“Hmmm, that’s interesting because that implies that eventually, you would be.”
“Do you even want kids?” She asked genuinely.
“No idea.” He answered just as honestly. “I figured that was a future me problem.” He nodded. “What about you?”
“I don’t know either. Maybe. It sounds cute sometimes. But others it makes me nauseous.”
“Well, I won’t be making you a mommy anytime soon so don’t worry that pretty head over it.”
“Good to know.” She chuckled.
“Doesn’t mean we can’t practice.” He wiggled his eyebrows at her and she went into a round of giggles. He kissed her neck playfully and she sighed into his touch.
“We would be SO good at it by the time we wanted kids.” She laughed.
“You saying we’re bad now? I disagree.” He was kissing along her collarbones with smooches.
“No that’s not what I meant.”
“Because I can remind you of how we don’t suck together.” He kissed her as she laughed.
“Oh, we most certainly do.” She cooed and kissed him back.
“Mmph yeah I’m sneaking over tonight. It’s the apron I’m telling you. Sexy as hell.” They spoke between kisses and laughter.
“I’ll only wear it then.”
“Ugh. This domestic mama. Mmm!” He took her face and kissed her again. “Don’t bend over to get the cookies out of the oven if you catch my drift.” He gave her a corny laugh and sucked his teeth.
“Oh! Speaking of I need to check those.” She moved to wiggle out of his arms but he held her tight.
“Pay the toll.” He said puckering his lips and she kissed him without hesitation. He swooned a bit as she walked away. He wish he could be as honest about this domestic energy as she was. Imagining himself having someone who did this kind of thing had never occurred to him. But the idea of it rapidly became a new fantasy for him.
“You go ahead and join the boys, I’m gonna rack these.” She turned to give him a nod.
“You sure?”
“Grab a beer and go sit on the couch, daddy. Mommy’s got the sweets handled.” She winked.
“Fuckin… don’t.” His smile said 'yes please more for the love of all things holy keep teasing me like this' but his pointed finger told her they couldn’t. He sneakily grabbed her ass and stole another kiss before doing as he was told.
Star stood at an angle to watch the three best men she’d ever known laugh together on her worn couch, in her humble little decorated house. Her eyes burned with tears. Eddie and Wayne with no awkwardness between them sat leg to leg while they made each laugh with one-liners. Robby sat in the recliner and joined in when Wayne would pick on Eddie. It was perfect, she thought. Star took a minute to herself, sneaking out the back door for a cigarette to feel the cold on her glistening skin from the heat of the oven in the small kitchen. The cool breeze made her moan at the relief. She saw Wayne's Truck, her car, and Robbie all in the driveway. It felt right. This should be how full it always is, she thought. She imagined the younger Hellfire members getting cars and parking them over. She thought of a Christmas party or a big New Years' bash to watch the ball drop and have cars lined out into the street to include everyone she now called her friend. Despite the biting cold Star felt a warmth inside she knew the chill couldn’t touch. She felt the love and she felt loved. Life had surprised her so much with her relatively short time in Hawkins. For the first time she could recall, she was excited about what the future would bring. What other changes, just like the ones that had passed already that she hadn’t seen coming would be coming her way? She wasn’t scared for the first time in a long time. She knew she’d have to pull cards about it later.
For now, she’d wipe off her happy tears and go snuggle in next to Eddie. She’d have a cocktail and they'd talk. She’d send him off with a kiss and he’d come back to repay the favor later tonight. She’d never dreamed of life this good for herself. She didn’t think it was possible. But here she was. She looked forward to proving herself wrong once again in the future.
Eddie was snoring in her bed behind her. He’d come back over and they’d gotten some good baby-making practice in. Her cards hadn't been far from her mind all night. She raised to her elbow, propping up to get them from her nightstand. Eddie’s arms pulled her back in, his head nuzzling against her back. She reached to rub his hand on her chest and it seemed to soothe him.
“What’s coming?” She whispered. "What does this next year hold for me?” She shuffled messily as she preferred.
She began her usual three-card spread. A high priestess appeared and she made an exaggerated thinking face at her appearance. This seemed like it directly aligned with what she’s been thinking about the significance of the day she’d had. Next, the ten of cups. A card she’d pulled for Eddie before. It was the happy ending of cards. She swallowed and hesitantly pulled another. The three of swords.
“There's the catch.” She whispered with a creased brow. It was a curious combination. All this promise and then a gray outlook on big emotion. And so specifically about love. She tucked the deck back into its belt bag and turned back to Eddie. She took him into her arms and let him make his happy puppy sounds as he kissed and cuddled her.
All this divine power within her will bring forth something in the darkness. A bright happy outlook that meant everything would be okay but then… What big emotion would end in hurt and lead to a better thing for her? The card was temporary, but that didn’t mean it wasn’t going to hurt. What an odd trio she thought. She fell asleep with her fingers playing with Eddie’s hair. A soothing habit she’d picked up. She hoped her dreams would grant her some clarity. But her conscious life was already giving her enough hints.
-
Wayne walked in after work to find something new. Eddie was fast asleep on the couch, the tv on and the remote on the floor. This in itself wasn’t unusual. The fact that Star was fast asleep on top of him was. Eddie’s arm was around her, hand in her hair. His other clutched tightly by her on his chest pressed against her mouth. He wished he had a camera. When he sat his lunch pail down on the counter Eddie awoke. He was flustered, hair sticking up on one side as he finally eyed Wayne.
“Oh hey. Wait. Shit. What time is it?”
“Shh. You’ll wake the baby.” Wayne smiled and nodded at Eddie. He looked at the sleeping woman on his chest.
“She tried to last through the movie but she couldn’t.” Eddie smiled and ran his hand through her hair, all wavy and wonky from being in a bun for work.
“This happen often?”
“No. She worked a double and came over. She’s exhausted.”
“They work that poor girl too hard.”
“I know. She keeps covering for people.” Eddie whispered to Wayne, his hand over Star's ear to not disturb her.
“There’s food?” Wayne asked as he opened the fridge.
“Yeah she came over and cooked and we studied. We’ve got that class together and we’ve got a test coming up.”
“Let me get this right. She worked a double. Covering for someone. Then came to YOU and then cooked for you after working all day?”
“I tried to stop her. I got her to stop studying and watch a movie with me. She agreed when I told her I’d rub her head. The bun she wears for work hurts her when she wears it too long.” He pressed a kiss to her hair and Wayne wanted to cry. He lazily ran his hand through her hair. “Don’t tell her I told you this but I rubbed her feet too so don’t lecture me about letting her do all that after working all day before I tried to stop her.”
“Then I won't.” He said leaning on the kitchen counter to face them. “But you know what else I’m gonna say.”
“I know. I’m waiting.” Eddie mumbled.
“On what exactly?”
“Graduation.”
“Really? Isn’t that a little far away?”
“Like five months?”
“That’s a long time to suffer in silence, Eddie.”
“I want to tell her, I do.” He sighed.
“Then do it.”
“I want to wait in case it goes bad. Then we won’t be in school anymore and it won’t ruin everything for everyone around us.”
“You’ve thought about this.” It wasn't a question, but a statement.
“A lot.” He muttered.
“Well, whenever you tell her. Or hell maybe she’ll do it first if you’re gonna wait that damn long. I know it’ll go well. Take it from an old man who’s seen some shit.”
“I hope you’re right.”
“And when I am right. I wanna remind you I’ve got some of your mom's old rings. If you end up needing them. Just saying. “ he held his hands up when Eddie gave him a sarcastic look. “ That girl is no more messed up than any of us lot. She’s an angel Eddie. You keep her or you’ll regret it.”
“I know.” He whispered, looking down at her and touching her hair. He touched her face, and it caused her to stir. “Hey hun, wake up. Wayne’s crashed the party.”
She blinked and looked completely out of her element. Her hair was lopsided and crinkled. She had fabric indents on her face from how long she’d been on Eddie’s chest asleep. A little drool sat in the corner of her mouth from how hard she’d been out.
“Huh?” She turned her head toward the light in the kitchen.
“Morning darlin'.” Wayne waved at her. “I’d ask if you slept well but you seem to have answered that for me.”
“Wayne?”
“Howdy.” He chuckled at her as she got her bearings.
“Food!” Said loudly, remembering and making Eddie jump. “The leftovers are in the fridge for you.”
“I found them thank you. You didn’t need to do that.”
“Needed to make sure you boys ate.” She rubbed her eyes and Wayne shot him a look. He pointed to the ring finger on his left hand and tapped it.
“How about we get in my bed? Let Wayne have the couch back. You don’t have to wake up yet.”
“Please.” She simply said. Groaning as she pushed herself into a seated position.
“C’mon sleeping beauty.” He hoisted her up and she giggled. She put her arms around him and plonked her face to his shoulder. Wayne gave him a thumbs up at the move.
“Sleep tight. Don’t let the bed bugs bite.” Wayne waved as they passed but Star was already half asleep again with her face buried in Eddie's hair. He heard the door click closed. Then a giggle. Yeah, those kids would be alright.

Chapter 3- Seb
The fucks his problem? Seb fell back into his gamer chair, wheels sliding back until he hit the wall. Why would he just walk in like that? He was extremely flustered. Since I'm dressed now I guess I'll get breakfast. He got back up and walked upstairs, knowing he wouldn't be able to focus on work after that whole ordeal. Walking into the kitchen he opened the fridge, contemplating grabbing a beer before deciding it'd be best not to. Instead he opened the cupboard, grabbed two pieces of bread and threw them in the toaster.
He waited, leaning against the counter. Why would he do that? Does he know? No! He shook his head. There's no way. Unless…. Does he feel the same way? Seb pushed that thought to the back of his head. Just because I didn't feel good for one night he had to go and blow it out of proportion. The toaster ring brought him back to reality. He grabbed his toast, put some strawberry jam on it and walked toward his room. He was so deep in thought he barely noticed his mom trying to talk to him.
“Sebastian.”
“Oh, hey Rob- Mom.” He caught himself. She didn't like it when he called her Robin.
“Sam wasn't here long. Just rushed past me, didn't stop to make conversation or anything.” She said, “I hear you haven't been feeling good recently.” her voice wasn’t prying but concerned.
“I'm fine.” Seb took a bite of his toast; the crunch enveloped the silent room. He went to say more, then stopped and turned around. “I'll see you later mom.” He walked back to his room, sat at his computer and took a deep breath. I just have to finish this. I can do it.
He worked, thoughts often drifting to Sam, before he would scold himself and focus again on his work.
After a few hours had passed he looked at the clock. It's almost 6. Sam and Abby will be at the stardrop soon. He took a deep breath, preparing himself to go. He showered, then looked at his hair in the mirror. Double and triple checking that it looked good. As he walked out the door he stopped, and went back inside to his parents room. Maybe I should ask. No. That'd be embarrassing. He knocked, and after a few seconds passed with no response he went inside. He walked to the closet and grabbed some of his stepfather Darius’ cologne. He was reading the label.
Dior Perfume
For men
Pine and _____
“Is there a reason you're trying to smell good?”
FUCK! Sebastian practically jumped out of his skin. He turned to see his stepfather in the door. He stood there, staring at Darius, perfume in hand.
“I wasn't trying to scare you.” He looked Sebastian up and down. “You can use that, it's fine.”
“T-thank you.” Seb said, still in shock from the scare.
He went to spray the cologne before Darius interrupted. “Do you know how to put that on?”
“Is there a wrong way to do it?” Seb snarled.
“You spray it once on your wrist, then rub your wrists together. Then do it once on the side of your neck. That's all you need, otherwise it'll be too strong.” Darius smiled at Seb.
“Thanks.” He relaxed a little before spraying the perfume like Darius instructed. After he quickly set down the cologne, he thanked Daruis again and rushed out. He was wearing a black knit sweater, with tan slacks. Which he paired with the blue and gray snow boots his mom had bought him when he was 15.
He walked to the Stardrop. Checking his breath and reflection. I don't know why I’m like this. I check my breath as if there's even the slightest chance I'll get that straight boy to kiss me. He arrived, opened the door and walked to the billiards table nonchalantly.
“Sup.” He gave an awkward dudebro nod in the direction of Abby and Sam as he arrived.
Abby giggled.
Fuck that was embarrassing. Who says sup? And Whyd I nod?
“Hey bro, it's great to see you! I take it you're feeling better.” Sam smiled at him. Sam's smile always had a way of making Seb feel less alone, like he wasn't a social outcast no one wanted to talk to. “You feel good enough to beat me today?” Sam's smile turned into a triumphant grin.
“We’ll see.”
“Youre saying that like there's no chance I win.” Abby chimed in.
“You’ve never won before,” Seb shot back.
Abby looked at him, doing a double take. “Maybe todays the day.”
Seb walked toward the pool cues and as he passed Abby she whispered in his ear. “You look awfully dressed up today.” She said it in a taunting voice. Seb froze.
Abby sniffed and continued, “oh and is that cologne?” She gave him a look he could tell was meant to be playful, but it was hard to take it that way.
Shit, has she caught on? No it's fine, just act like normal and laugh it off. Seb gave a halfhearted laugh. “No silly.” He grabbed his pool cue and walked to the table. Abby followed suit then so did Sam.
“Who's gonna break it today?” Sam addressed the group.
They all stood there in silence, no one wanting to volunteer.
“Not me,” Abby said. “I'm terrible at it.”
“That's true.” Seb added.
“How bout I teach you how?” Sam said, looking at Abby.
“I guess that's fine.” Abby lined up the shot then Sam waved his hand to stop her.
“Let me help you.” Sam positioned himself behind Abby, wrapping his arms around her and grabbing her hands to guide her. Abby tensed up and Seb looked away. With a lump in his throat he said, “Imma get a beer.” And walked away avoiding looking at them. As he walked away he heard the clacking of balls.
“Can I get a beer please.” Seb said as he approached the counter.
“Sure thing buddy.” Gus said.
Seb looked back toward the two playing pool. He leaned against the table and watched as Sam lined up his shot.
Thump. Gus set the beer on the counter next to Seb.
“Thanks,'' Seb said as he picked the beer up and walked back, not even bothering to look at Gus. He walked back toward them, chugging the beer as he went. Drinking the entire thing then slamming it against the edge of the pool table. “I take it, it's my turn.” Seb said, with the added confidence of one beer under his belt. He picked up his pool cue and made his first shot. As they played and the alcohol set in Seb loosened up.
By the end of the game seb had drunk one too many beers. They were tied three ways. It was all up to whoever made this last shot, and it was Sebs turn. He drunkenly lined up his shot as the other two watched, but his hands were shaking. He took a deep breath then felt someone come behind him, grabbing his hands to stabilize them.
“Need some help bro?” Sam said.
Seb could feel Sam's body on his, and it felt incredible. “Thanks.” Seb stammered. Sam helped Seb as he sunk the final shot.
“YOU WON!!” Sam cheered.
But Seb was still in shock from the feeling of Sam's body on his. Suddenly Seb realized that he couldn't back away from the table or else he'd be very embarrassed.
Abby joined in on the cheering before Seb drunkenly said. “Of course I won, I've always been better at pool than you.” His words were a tad slurred but they could still understand him.
“What?” Sam laughed. “You're funny bro.”
“No, I'm serious. I only let you win because…” A wave of nausea hit Seb and he doubled over like he was about to vomit.
“You've had too much to drink, you should probably head home.” Abby came to his rescue.
“Oh I'll walk him.” Sam said.
“No, I got it.” Abby snapped. “Let's get you home pal.” She grabbed his shoulder and helped him to his feet. Leading him outside while he looked at Sam, ashamed.
They were now outside and Abby was leading Seb home. “But, Sam.” Sebastian said.
“What about Sam huh?” Abby prodded him.
“I… He is so cute the way worries about me, and how he plays and his banter.” His words were slurred but he looked at Abby, eyes pleading for someone, anyone to understand him. Suddenly a second wave of nausea hit him and he doubled over and vomited. “shit,” he looked down. Abby got him back up. “Abby.” Seb stopped and looked up at her. “I’m gay.” He looked at her, waiting for the shock to set it. He didn't expect rejection but in his head he knew it was possible. He didn't know any other gay people in pelican town. As far as he knew he was the only one.
Abby raised her eyebrows. “Wow, shocker.” She said with dry sarcasm.
He looked at her and began tearing up. “I don't know what to do.” His tears turned to sobs. “Is that all you have to say?”
“Man you're a mess.” she looked at him. “And I don't care if you're gay, it's pretty obvious to anyone you guys like each other.” He hated the way she said it as if it's not a big deal.
“It is?” Seb said, trying to hold back his sobs.
“Dude, the way you reacted when he put his arms around me.” Then she muttered under her breath, ”Though that did shock me too.” She gave him a look of sympathy. “What are you gonna do about it?”
“I dont know!” Seb cried.
“Well you're gonna have to figure it out. Sams not the brightest but he’ll understand.”
“Should I tell him?” He looked up at Abby, pleading for an answer.
“I don't know man, it's up to you.” That was not the reply he wanted to hear. “It's probably best if you do. I think you'd make a cute couple.”
“Ugh, I just wanna kiss his stupid face.” Seb whined.
They walked home in silence. Seb felt a weight lifted from his shoulders. Finally, he was able to share his feelings with someone other than himself.

All It Took Was One Look - Chapter 30
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
Aiden
Life couldn't get any better than this.
Even if our relationships a secret, it's still perfect in my book.
It's been a week since the movies and the full moon was on Saturday... three days away.
We didn't have school for a full three weeks after this one so Liam said he was going to visit his sister in NYC.
A precaution so he wouldn't accidently force me or something... which I am grateful for.
I don't want to lose my virginity like that.
Currently, I was in my family room, watching a marathon of one of my favorite supernatural T.V. shows on my couch.
It also had a werewolf to.
Liam was behind me wrapping me in his arms.
My parents have been super cool with him being over lately but they have had their embarrassing moments of course.
Like mom awing every damn time she sees us.
And dad giving Liam a 'stern talking to'.
If you didn't know, I just rolled my eyes.
My father was saying things like, what are your intentions with my son Liam?
If you break his heart I'm going to be representing my own case in court.
All this happened while I was holding my head in my hands shaking it with the mortification of how crazy weird my parents can be.
Being the good sport he always is Liam was laughing saying he loved them.
"I love this show," I said as Liam softly hummed in the side of my neck.
"Are you my werewolf, Liam?" I asked him playfully.
"I'll be whatever you want me to be," he replied lazily.
"Good."
I could hear him take a deep breath.
"I really hate to leave you," he whimpered, his hot breath causing shivers to wrack my body.
"I know but I don't what you in my pants just yet," I joked and I heard him growl.
"Well you have no idea how much I want to be in those pants of your right now," he said, his hand traveling to the hem of my shirt raising it a little till I slapped it away.
"No," I warned him like I was reprehending a small child.
I turned my head to see him pouting.
"No Liam, you know how this will end, just like the locker room, the movies and don't forget that time in my bedroom," I scolded.
From the mention of the bedroom I was flat on my back on the couch and Liam straddling me.
"Oh, I like that day. We should re-enact it, here, now," he purred as his eyes changed from those beautiful brownish green orbs to the intense mysterious yellow.
I almost got lost in them but when I realized getting lost in them gets me in naughty situations.
And with the full moon a matter of days away, it's way more dangerous with a horny werewolf ready to rip my butthole open any second now.
"Down boy," I scold, pushing him over to the side of the couch and I hopped to my feet.
"I'm going to grab a coke from the kitchen, you want anything?" I asked walking away.
"There is something I want but I'm not allowed to have it," he called.
I rolled my eyes while I opened the fridge grabbing a can off the top shelf.
Popping it open I took a swig, leaning back on the counter.
This full moon stuff was really crazy... I mean Liam would have to leave me every month because his horny wolf was ready to jump my bones.
But I can't complain much since the last week has been awesome.
Liam and I have been sneaking kisses every chance we got, going it in corners of the school during passing periods.
Once I was walking down the hall when I was suddenly dragged into the janitor's closet.
But that was last week, now Liam has been more 'handsie' his eyes changed more frequently he was constantly wearing his glasses now.
I have to say I love it when his wolf takes over like that, it's super-hot.
Liam told me Dom had to stay home this week under his dad's super visions, afraid of marking Jeanine because he hadn't told her the 'big' secret yet.
I understand but if it was anything like how me and Liam are and the feelings running through us when were around each other I doubt that she would freak that much... I didn't but what if she did?
"What are you thinking about?" Liam's voice brought out of my thoughts.
He leaned in front of me with his hands on either side of me resting on the counter. I blushed as he got closer to my face.
Yes I was still nervous around him.
"Nothing," I lied.
"Uh huh."
He tilted his head giving me a 'bullshit' expression.
"What will happen if Jay doesn't accept what Dom is?" I asked him with a frown and his face twisted into a sad grimace.
"Nothing good," he muttered.
"Like?" I pressed and sighing, he stepped back from me leaning against the fridge.
"You already know every wolf has a mate out there for them. Our mate is the reason we live. You can be fine all your life but you know that you're missing a huge part of yourself till you find her or in my case him."
My gaze dropped to the floor as my cheeks flooded.
He lifts my chin up to gaze back in my eyes.
"Don't, don't cast your eyes down with me or anybody for that matter. Hold you your head high Aiden," he told me his face set seriously and I nod, not truly understanding why.
"Having a mate means nothing else matters anymore, all those problems you thought were major turn petty and unimportant. Your mate is the only important one in your life. You live for them, you breathe for them. But to lose them would be the end of you and I'm not even exaggerating. I don't know the feeling personally but since I found you I know now that if I lost you nothing in this world would have the same meaning anymore. If I lost you, I would be lost forever."
He stepped closer to me cupping my cheek.
"I've heard of wolves who have been rejected, they turn crazed and become rogues. Some even die just from the heart ache."
My eyes were wide with awe and terror.
"Having a mate is that serious to you guys?" I asked and he laughed humorlessly.
"You have no idea."
His hand slipped from my face and down to my waist.
"W-what would you have done if I-I never accepted you?" I asked and his eyes darkened a bit and his hold on my waist tightened.
"I don't think you need to know that," he told me softly.
My heart was beating from the passionate look swirling in his eyes as he they glazed over.
Was he thinking of what he would have done?
Reaching up I trailed my finger across his lips, he snapped out of it his daze, a soft expression taking hold in his eyes.
"I'm here Liam and since I found you I don't want to let you go either. Now stop thinking of things that could hurt you. I'm sorry I brought it up."
He smiled under my finger before opening his mouth and taking it gently between his teeth.
Playfully glaring at him I snatched my finger back.
"Bad wolf," I scolded and he swept me in his arms burying his face in my neck.
"I'll show you bad," he growled, nuzzling, causing me to burst in a fit of giggles.
"Liam stop," I exclaimed wiggling in his arm trying my best to get away from him.
"Sister entering the kitchen."
We stopped as we turned to see Connie with her hand covering her eyes at the door way.
Snickering I shook my head.
"It's not like were naked Connie," I told her and she took her hand away with a relived sigh.
"Good because that would have scarred me for life," she said going straight for the cabinet and pulling out a bag of hot Cheetos.
The last bag, which were mine.
"Don't eat all of those," I warned her as Liam set me back on my feet but he wrapped his arms around me, resting his chin on my shoulder.
"I'm not, chill," she said looking back at us and a smile broke out on her face.
"Aww... isn't that just adorable," she cooed and my face flushed as I felt Liam shaking against my back.
"Shut up Connie," I huffed untangling Liam's arms and marched back to the couch.
Falling back with my arms crossed I glared at the T.V. as their laughter reached me, making my scowl deepen.
"Making fun of me," I muttered to myself.
"Oh come on Aiden she was playing around," Liam told me sitting back down holding out my coke.
"Uh huh." I replied, snatching my soda and took a big gulp, bad idea.
Soda came spewing out of my mouth as I started to choke like crazy, clutching my throat as it burned.
I could hear Connie's cackling somewhere behind me while Liam did his best to save my precious life by slapping my back.
Once I could breathe, Liam looking down at me with concern and I gave him an embarrassed smirk.
"Are you okay?" he asked and I nodded, then looked over to see Connie rolling around on the floor clutching her stomach, laughing her blonde little head off.
I growled at her.
"It wasn't that funny," I yelled at her and she was gulping for air as she calmed down.
"No... no it wasn't," she gasps between snickers pulling herself up on her hands.
"It was hilarious," she added and then she went back into fits of laughter.
"Ugh," I exclaimed.
I shot up from the couch and marched up the stairs... I knew Liam was behind me following quietly, good boy.
We walked in my bedroom Liam sat on the bed while I stuck my head out my door.
"You ruined my marathon, twerp."
And slammed the door.
I could still hear her as I leant my back against the door knowing Liam's eyes were on me.
"So what now?" he asked me and I met his gaze.
"I don't know," I said.
I shrugged as I strode across the room, kneeling on my bed over him; pushing him down on his back.
His lustful gaze made my body burn for his touch, begging to have him rip off... No, stop.
Bad Aiden no naughty thoughts.
"Aiden being behind closed doors is not a good idea. Only pleasure will come from it," he said huskily roaming his hands up and down my sides.
"I know, that's why we're going to continue to watch my show," I said reaching over him to my night stand grabbing my remote, like it was my plan all along.
Smiling I turned the TV on and flipping through the channels till I found it.
Liam groaned, still on his back at the end of the bed staring up at the ceiling.
I threw the remote somewhere on the bed and got comfortable on my stomach, my head facing the foot of the bed resting my chin on Liam's hard stomach.
I watched my show, it was at the point where the human changed in to his wolf form and I couldn't help but think Liam was prettier than him and much, much bigger.
I almost laughed out loud from it.
"Aiden, do you want to come and tell my parents about us?" he asked suddenly, his question stunned me.
I turned my head to look at him. I met them that one day.
They were nice but how would they react to this whole situation?
Liam raised up on his elbows and looked down at me.
"They're going to find out one day," he told me and I bit my lip, a nervous habit.
"I know that but I'm kind of scared," I confessed and Liam gave me a determined look.
"No one is going to hurt you Aiden, I won't let them," he reassured me sternly.
"I know but if we come out to your parents wouldn't that mean the whole pack will know?" I asked and sighing he nodded.
"Aiden you're my mate meaning you will be by my side. I'm the future Alpha making you Alpha as well."
My jaw dropped.
"W-wait, what?" I stuttered.
'Me? Alpha?'
"Yes, Aiden you will be ruling by my side," he said combing one of his hands through my hair. I scrambled up on my knees.
"Rule? No I can't rule people," I exclaimed and he furrowed his brows as he sat up.
"I thought you understood that."
I shook my head fiercely.
"No. I didn't and you didn't to tell me either."
I was freaking, how was I was supposed to rule a pack when I couldn't even face the bullies at school.
Plus I cower whenever I'm around Brent.
How the hell was I going to be strong enough to help Liam lead his pack?
"I don't mean to scare you but sooner or later we're going to have to face the fact that people will know about us. It will be hard but we can do it Aiden together."
I think I'm hyperventilating.
A frightened look came across his face as he lifted me on his lap.
"Shh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have just sprung that on you," he was soothing me by stroking the back of my hair.
Sighing in his chest my nerves calming immediately from his electric touch.
"We'll talk about this another time, Okay?"
I nodded.
I don't think I could do what he wanted from me.
I wasn't cut out for something like that.
"I don't want to lose you Aiden and if this is too much I will gladly reject the Alpha for you. We can go away together and live a normal life if that's what it takes to make you happy. I'm willing to do anything for you. Remember nothing in this world is as important as you"

The haunting

Chapter 9
Curious, Izuku tries to get off Bakugo's lap, but as soon as he makes the attempt, the werewolf growls and pulls him closer to his chest; lips on his neck make impossible for him to say anything at the moment.
The grip on his waist tightens as Bakugo's kisses become more desperate; Izuku closes his eyes for a moment and surrenders to the sensation, letting out an embarrassing moan as lips press against his throat and make their way up towards his lips.
A tongue makes its way inside Izuku's mouth and the human presses himself closer to his boyfriend's chest; Bakugo hums in approval and deepens their kiss as one of his hands slides inside Izuku's shirt.
That's when Izuku remembers the bite on his wrist and everything that happened afterwards; he finally moves away (this time ignoring Bakugo's frown and managing to escape from him before he can sit him on his lap again).
"I'm going back to the bar," he tells him right after looking through the window and realizing that there are no more vampires marching down the streets.
Bakugo pouts and Izuku tries not to smile at him fondly.
"Let's stay for a while longer," the werewolf mumbles, taking the human's hand. "We still don't know if it's completely safe for you outside."
"But Kacchan, the lockdown has been lifted," Izuku reminds him. "It means I can go back to work now."
"If you agreed to move in with me you wouldn't have to work again," the werewolf insists, prompting Izuku to look back at him in surprise.
"We just started dating..."
"We belong together," Bakugo says, looking absolutely certain. "You are my mate, I know, I'm just waiting for you to realize it."
Feeling his cheeks turning pink, Izuku leans to give Bakugo a quick kiss on the lips.
"I need to see Mina."
Rolling his eyes, Bakugo pulls him closer only to rest his forehead over the green haired human's shoulder.
"Fine, I'll take you."
"You don't need to–"
"If you think I'm going to leave you alone now, you're terribly mistaken, Deku."
Izuku can't help but chuckle; he still can't believe at first he thought Bakugo was just an ill-tempered werewolf when in reality he's really sweet and cares a lot about the people in his life.
He gives him another kiss on the lips, but moves away when Bakugo tries to chase after him.
"I thought you wanted to go, nerd."
"I do."
"Then stop kissing me or I'll carry you to your bedroom and keep you there all night."
Blushing to the tip of his ears, Izuku takes his keys and walks towards the door with a very smug werewolf behind him.
***
"Izuku!"
As soon as he's inside, he runs and jumps over the counter to hug his friend; it's not been that long since they saw each other and yet he was still worried about her.
"Careful or the grumpy werewolf is going to get jealous of me," Mina chuckles, taking a step back just as Bakugo growls in response. "See?"
Izuku rolls his eyes at the both of them.
"I was worried about you too," she finally admits and then adds with a grin: "What happened? I know you have information about this."
He tells her everything, trying to ignore Bakugo's scowl or the way he bares his teeth every time Izuku mentions Todoroki.
"A King?" Mina smiles. "That's interesting... You got to admit that vampire is even more attractive now... All that power–"
"Maybe you should try your luck, pinky," Bakugo cuts her off, getting irritated.
"We all know he only has eyes for Izuku," she mumbles, not even hiding her grin when the werewolf growls at her.
"Deku is taken..."
"Enough of that, you two," Izuku scolds them. "Mina, we have work to do."
"You're no fun, Izuku."
***
Izuku finds out a lot more about Todoroki's situation as the clients start walking in; at first it seems that everything has gone back to normal, but then as Izuku moves behind the bar to make different drinks, he starts noticing that vampires tend to gather in small groups and talk with each other a lot, even if they didn't arrive together.
"What are we going to do now?"
"What do you mean? It's all the same! Having one King or another is not going to change things for any of us!"
"Who knows... I've heard the son is a human lover, in fact it seems that this whole thing started because one of them."
"What? How?"
"They fought over a human."
"You mean the former King wanted the human and his son as well?"
"No, the King wanted to get rid of them because the son was obsessed; rumor says he wanted to have them as his partner."
"So all of this... Because of a human?"
"No human is that important! Seriously? They're the most fragile things in the world!"
"Maybe this one is not, or maybe they're really pretty... Or perhaps it's just their blood..."
"Shut up!" Finally, one of them realizes that Izuku has finished their drinks and is trying to hand them to them.
"We didn't really mean that, love!" The female vampire grins. "You're important too, of course."
"I bet you'd become really important to me if you let me take you home tonight," says the other vampire, trying to take his hand.
"I have to work, sorry," Izuku mumbles, trying not to look nervous; he knew some of what actually happened between Todoroki and his father, but he had no idea others vampires knew as well.
Is all of this his fault somehow?
"Would you let me taste your blood at least?" The vampire insists, managing to take of Izuku's hand that time.
"No, I'm sorry... I don't do that..."
"Come on! You smell good!"
"BACK OFF!" Bakugo growls, hitting the counter with his fist, startling the vampires around. "He's mine!"
Either the werewolf has a reputation or his glare alone is intimidating enough because the vampires take their drinks and walk away from the counter.
"Thank you, Kacchan!"
"Anytime, Deku," Bakugo grins before pulling Izuku over the counter to give him a kiss on the lips. "Besides, they need to know you're taken already."
***
Izuku wakes up in the afternoon the next day; he's back in his apartment and Bakugo had to go deal with a few minor problems that involved his clan. Sometimes he insists on taking Izuku with him, mentions it'd be better for the two if the human moved in with him, but Izuku is not sure about that...
They just started dating.
He's making himself something to eat when someone knocks at the door; thinking about his neighbor, Izuku rushes to answer, but when he opens it he gets surprised to see Todoroki right outside.
"Shoto? Is everything alright?"
"Yes, I just wanted to see you. Can I come inside?"
"I thought vampires only needed to be invited once," Izuku mumbles. He's pretty sure he's never invited Ochako again for her to be able to walk in his apartment freely.
"Yes," Todoroki says, scratching his left cheek, like he's suddenly feeling shy. "I just... I didn't want to be rude... I mean, even though I can come in now doesn't mean I should. It's up to you if you want my company or–"
Chuckling, Izuku cuts him off by pulling him inside.
"It's okay, of course I want you to keep me company, you're my friend!"
Suddenly, Todoroki is really close to him; he cradles Izuku's face in his hands.
"What if I don't want to be just your friend?"
Feeling his cheeks turning completely red, Izuku stares back at the vampire, not sure about what to say at the moment. Ashido had told him a couple of times that Todoroki didn't see him just as a friend, but this is still a surprise for him.
Many things have happened lately, Izuku doesn't know he can deal with them at the moment.

Tumblr media
❀ he's been watching you for a while now— his team's manager
❀ everyone knew you've recently became a new mom— as well as how your child's dad went MIA a few weeks after you gave birth, left a note breaking things off with you and saying he wasn't ready to be a dad
❀ you usually had your mom or a relative take care of your baby while you went to work, but this time no one was available so you had to bring your son with you
❀ standing by the corner of the crowded cafeteria, he kept on glancing at you obviously struggling to pacify your baby
❀ he didn't like the piercing cries of the child in your arms so he decided to help you, or so he convinced himself
❀ in reality, he couldn't take seeing you so panicked anymore— it agitates him so much
❀ he was trying to remember what komori taught him about babies as he walked over to where you stood
"have you tried feeding it?" he asked nonchalantly, standing a good foot away from you as he tried to peer over your shoulder
"him" you replied, exhaustion and frustration dripping from your tone, "and yeah, i just did"
you sighed
"give me"
it wasn't everyday that sakusa offered help so you jumped at the opportunity, supporting your child's neck and back as sakusa took him, doing the same
❀ he laid the baby on his chest, gently tapping at his back
❀ after a few moments he let out a small burp the baby not sakusa skdka
❀ he handed your child back to you, now silently chewing on his hand, saying he "just needed to burp"
❀ your face felt hot, embarrassed that you had no idea
❀ sakusa just placed a hand on your head and smiled behind his mask before leaving, he knows you needed all the help you can get right now and he, albeit wordlessly, made sure you're aware that he's willing to provide that help
❀ since then he regularly drops by your apartment and helps you clean and take care of your baby saying he's just making sure there weren't any germs near the kid
❀ lets you take naps as he watch your kid— but not before taking a bath, he has spare clothes in your closet
❀ the team notices how he's always over at your place
"omi-kun you're always over at y/n's, might as well move in with her"
"if she wants me to, i don't see any problem with it" he said so casually it made you whip your head to his direction
"do you... want to?" he looked away from you without an answer, avoiding your eyes, "omi-kun do you want to move in with us?"
"i said, if you wanted to" he replied, still avoiding your gaze and cheeks tinted red
Tumblr media
❀ you met him at the wet market; well, your daughter did
❀ you noticed her run off while you were buying ingredients for your lunch and stocking up your fridge, quickly trying to catch up to her
❀ she was giddily running around, little 3 year old legs not taking her too far before bumping into a stranger's leg
❀ falling to her bum, your daughter looked up to see brown eyes looking down at her
"i'm sorry, are you alright?"
he helped the child up, holding her steady as he dusted off her bottom
by the time you caught up with the both of them, he already had your daughter in his arms, asking her where her mom was with a smile
"there she is!" she said with a giggle
"baby, what did i tell you about running off on your own?" you scolded her with a tired smile as kita handed her over to you, thanking him kindly
❀ after that encounter, he started to notice you more and more; in the wet market, around the neighbourhood, and in the topics of local grannies
❀ you moved in recently, shortly after your daughter's dad bailed out on the both of you, leaving you to raise her alone; or so he's heard
❀ he would always give you a soft smile and an acknowledging nod whenever you two see each other
❀ it wasn't until his grandmother asked him to bring over some vegetables to your house that he had the chance to have an actual conversation with you
"gran wanted you to have this"
"oh thank you very much", you beamed at him while taking the basket, "do you maybe want to come inside? i'll prepare some tea"
he was about to decline the offer, but the joyful look on your child's face the moment she sees kita convinced him to do otherwise
❀ the two of you talked over tea and snacks while your daughter sat on his lap, playing with his large hand
❀ you couldn't help but smile at the both of them, your daughter never one to be this playful with others, kita didn't seem too bothered either
❀ time passed and kita needed to go back home, much to your daughter's dismay
❀ he didn't want to upset your kid too much so it was decided he'll come back soon to play with her
❀ it became a regular thing for kita to stop by your house on his way home from the fields— spending time with you and your daughter slowly becoming routine
❀ he adored your child's little giggles and the way she insisted having him wear the flower crown she made, glancing at you to see you laughing at the sight had him imagining what life would've been like with the two of you
❀ till he realized he was already living that life— looking forward to seeing you both after a hard day of work at the fields, being greeted by warm smiles and a hug, eating dinner together and sharing laughter
❀ it seems like granny wouldn't have to wait too long for a grandchild
Tumblr media
❀ he noticed your 2 year old boy looking—staring, at him from across the restaurant he was having lunch at
❀ so of course he decided to make faces in an attempt to make him laugh
❀ he wiggled his eyebrows at the toddler, waving his hands and cooing— though he wasn't sure if the baby even hears him
❀ the boy decided that tendō pulling at his ears and sticking his tongue out was a winner, letting out a short giggle
❀ you had your back to tendō so you were surprised to see your child laughing when you looked up from your meal
❀ turning around to see tendō making the silliest face, you couldn't help but laugh as well, your son finding it absolutely hilarious and is squealing in delight
❀ tendō's face heated up in embarrassment from being caught but he laughed along nonetheless, shaking his head as you waved your son's tiny hands at him and mouthing 'hello'
❀ he thought you two were adorable so he decided to come up to your table
"you babysitting your nephew? or is that your baby brother?"
you chuckled at him, "he's my son"
"oh"
the redhead's brain buffered for a few moments, "i should get going then, don't wanna offend someone" he laughed awkwardly, hand scratching at his nape
"oh no, it's fine. you're not offending anyone" his eyebrows raised at your reply's implication, "mind taking a seat? my baby seem to like you"
"your baby has great taste" tendō smirked as he slid to the seat opposite yours
"so it seems" you said with a tone that sent a blush straight to his cheeks
❀ the afternoon ended with your number saved on tendō's phone under the name cute baby('s) momma🥺
❀ he texts and calls All The Time; asking how your kid is doing and wanting to see the both of you
❀ after a while of talking and going out, you asked him if he wanted to come over to your place for a visit and he was simply ✨ecstatic✨
❀ spent the whole afternoon crawling around your living room chasing your son, squeals and giggles echoing throughout your house
❀ you've never seen your son be this comfortable with anyone that isn't you and you're just grateful that tendō adores your child as much as your child adores him
❀ when tendō walked up to you— your son in his arms, sleeping soundly on his shoulder, you offered to take the child but he refused and opted to pull you close with his free hand
❀ he leaned against the kitchen counter, both you and your son in his arms as you asked him in a whisper, "can you stay?"
❀ understanding what you meant was more than staying for the night, he answered with a definite "for as long as you want to, of course" before pressing a kiss on your temple

The Prenup: Part Three
Summary: After four years of being together and finally being engaged, Chris wants you to sign a prenup.
Tumblr media
Chris Evans x Reader
Warnings: angst, swearing, chris getting his ass handed to him, a lot of pain.
Part One Part Two
Tumblr media
After Chris' little sob moment, he got his shit together and went back to where his family was. There was no way he was going to get you back crying like a baby when he was at fault. He needed to fix this, but you had to be on board in order first
He sits back on the couch, his mother and siblings not even realizing he entered the room, for they were having their own squabble. Scott's voice being the loudest out of everyone of course.
He sees his phone and goes to grab it. Carly notices him and speaks up.
"Chris is there anywhere you think she could be? Any place you guys have gone that's sentimental or something?" She's trying her best, but it wasn't enough. For all Chris knew, you could've been in numerous places. Everywhere you went was special.
When you both aren't working, you're on an adventure after another. You both loved to explore and were the perfect partners for each other to do it. You guys had traveled everywhere.
"I have no idea. I really fucked up and I don't even know where to begin to fix this" he breathes out, voice wavering gradually at every word. "Why do I always do this?"
It's Lisa's turn to speak up. "Do what?"
"Why do I always sabotage everything good in my life? Specifically love. It's like whenever it gets too good to be true, I back away. This time, I decided to wait four years to mess this up."
"Chris," Shanna calls. "You have a good woman." She pauses. "A great woman. She has put up with your shit and gave up so much to be with you. That's exactly what you wanted. Someone to really prove their love for you and she did that. You cannot go back on that now."
"Look how that's going." Scott doesn't fail to add a snarky remark.
"Scott I'm not going to tell you again. Quit it." Lisa barks and pops the back of his head. Scott goes silent.
"Okay but what if I messed up for good this time?" He looks up and straight at Shanna. "I have never seen her like this. I don't think anyone has ever hurt her this bad before." And he was right. You'd never experienced this much emotional pain before and the love of your life is to blame.
"Well you don't know that unless you find out. You can't just sit around here and feel sorry for yourself because believe it or not, you have no reason to." Shanna is completely right. Now it was up to Chris. But first he needed to figure out where you were.
He grabs his phone and goes to your contact. He finds you and clicks. All your info pops up and he debates on whether he should call or message. As he's deciding, his eyes wander lower to the location box. He sees your icon on the map.
His mouth opens, but nothing leaves it. Your location was on. It had been on the entire freaking time.
"Chris what's wrong?" Lisa walks over and the kids perk up.
"Y/N's location has been on all this time. I can see where she is now!" He clicks your icon and waits for it to load. A little hope has risen inside of him. One step closer.
"Well this is good. Now you can go to her. I just hope she doesn't want to kill you when she sees you." Shanna scratches the back of her neck because she knows what you're capable of.
Last year, your sister's boyfriend was messing around with your cousin's girlfriend and it got exposed at the dinner table infront of everyone.
Chris and his family had been invited and everything was going great. But then one of your other cousins decided to start some mess and pointed out how it was so strange that they were so close and always hung out together. They weren't wrong either.
Turns out they've been hooking up behind their backs for a while and all hell broke loose. Your sister and cousin are both very sensitive people. Their feelings get hurt fast and this absolutely tore them to pieces. That pissed you off and you went straight for the girlfriend. Then you went for the boyfriend but only got a kick to the spleen before Chris snatched you up.
She went to the hospital with a broken nose and dislocated jaw. The boyfriend had pain in his spleen for weeks on end. You apologized to the Evans' for your riveting hospitality, but Scott backed you up and stated that 'you did what you had to do'.
From that day forward, they did not get on your bad side. But you'd never hurt them. You had a great relationship with all of them. Something rare with in-laws. But not the Evans'.
Your location finally loaded and you were pinned at the Liberty, almost an hour from where you guys lived. Chris didn't even need to ask himself why you were so far away. He knew why.
"Okay I found her. She's at a hotel about about an hour away. Who knows what she'll do next, so I need to go right now." He moves to get his jacket and shoes. Slipping them on he grabs his keys and heads out the door, yelling an 'I'll be back soon' just before closing it.
Tumblr media
Pregnant, tired, once again and alone. This should not be the case. You should be at home with your fianceé discussing how you'd break the news to your families about your new addition. But instead, there you are eating Domino's and binge watching the first and only season of a new show you found to get your mind off of things.
Its about a district attorney who's son had been found as a suspect for the murder of his schoolmate. What didn't help was the fact that the father, Andy Barber, looked almost identical to Chris. And the way Andy would interact with his son had you thinking about how he would react to your little surprise.
Would he be happy? Would it be too much for him? Seeing that you guys had just now got engaged after 4 years, you didn't see him too excited to add a baby in just yet. You hadn't even gotten married. Not to mention you just pushed that off the table.
You got your mind racing again, so you turned off the show and just sat quietly, succumbing to your thoughts. First, you guys needed to solve your problem before you tell him anything of the current events. Should you call him and tell him to come over? How were you gonna approach him?
Staying mad was off the table as soon as you saw the pregnancy results. You had to be mature for your new family. That meant pushing aside your anger and solving this prenup issue. Then you'd tell him about the baby. You just needed the chance.
And your chance had arrived when Chris pulled up to the parking lot of the hotel. Your icon was still at the location. He rushed to get out and inside, heading to the front desk.
"Hi! Is a Y/N Y/LN checked in here?" His fingers tap the counter in anticipation. The clerk is taken aback but checks the computer infront of him anyway.
"Uh, no sir there isn't anyone here by that name." The clerk shook his head and looked back up at him. Chris sighs and thinks. An idea comes to his head. It doesn't sound reasonable, but he had to at least try it.
"Okay um..how about a Y/N Evans?" The clerk looks back at the computer and types.
"Yes! There's a Y/N Evans in room 263 on the 3rd floor." Chris' heart leaped. You used his last name. After all that went down, you still went by his last name. He was gaining hope by the minute.
"She's my fianceé. Is there a way I could have a key to her room? It's super important" he begged.
"Well we're not allowed to give room keys out randomly. It's policy. But I could call up to confirm with Ms. Evans, if you'd like?" Chris accepted the offer, but not before correctly the clerk to calling you Mrs. Evans.
You jump slightly when you hear the phone ring. You stretch your arm and pick it up from the receiver.
"Hello?"
"Hi Mrs Evans! I have a-"
There was a pause before he continued,
"Mr. Evans down here at the lobby that wants to see you. Should I send him up?"
You swear in that exact moment all the saliva in your mouth dried up and your mouth was sealed shut. He had found you and and wanted to see you. But how? Anyways, you had to face him sooner or later. You freaking live together and you can't stay at that hotel forever.
"Mrs. Evans? Are you alright?" You snap out of your immobile state and clear your throat.
"Um..yes. You can send him up." You scold yourself for not putting up a bigger fight. But what for? It would only make shit worse than it already was.
"Alright ma'am. He'll be up shortly."
"Okay thank you." You quickly slam the phone on the receiver and let your body hit the mattress. Well, there's no turning back now.
You don't know how long you were laying there, but it couldn't have been long because you heard a knock at the door. You shoot up and stare at it.
Another knock.
"Y/N?"
You move your body towards the door taking a deep breath. You can do this Y/N. Get it together. This is Chris for goodness sake.
You turn the knob and pull the door back, Chris coming into view staring right back at you.
"Hi baby."
Tumblr media
pls- this dramatic ass ending 😭 this was gonna be the last part, but dialogue/ just kept coming at me as I was writing 🥴.
