The twine release for the prologue is done!
Play it here and a full disclaimer under the cut!
While it doesn’t include new content, I shall now work on updating the game there instead of following my original dashingdon plans.
Please note that I’m very new at this and there’s a high chance (read 99%) that something won’t work properly. In fact, the main reason as to why I decided to publish the prologue without waiting for chapter one was exactly to receive some feedback/fix any bugs early (which helps me understand coding better, that’s my learning process.)
As of now the game has a light interface, but I plan to add a toggle switch for a dark theme as soon as a figure out how to do that (somebody save me orz) and some side menus are empty, since I really need to work on the text before doing anything else.
The game is better played on desktop, sadly I need to figure out how the mobile interface looks. Coding wizards, save me. orz

SINFUL SUNDAY UPDATE AS OF 3/12/23
Firstly, on the Sundays of December 24th and 31st, I won't be posting anything for Sinful Sunday. Given that it's the Christmas season and I'll be with my family, I've decided that the last Sinful Sunday of the year 2023 will be on Sunday, the 17th.
Due to the high volume of requests every Sunday, it's become physically challenging to complete all of them in a single day. To address this, I'm implementing a new rule – I'll be posting approximately 5 pieces for every Sinful Sunday. Any requests remaining in my inbox will be automatically scheduled for the following weekend.
I'll be adjusting the priority for Sinful Sunday requests, giving top priority to those that come in off-anon. While anonymous questions are still welcomed, I'll be initially focusing on non-anonymous requests.
I'm aware many of you enjoy the Hantengu Clones, but I kindly request not to ask for similar scenarios with different clones once a scenario has already been published with one of them.
I'm open to delving into darker content, so feel free to share your more intense thoughts/thirsts with me without hesitation! 🔥
Tumblr media
SINFUL SUNDAY UPDATE AS OF 31/12/23
In light of the recent poll results, I'm thrilled to share that Sinful Sunday is set to unfold bi-monthly, taking place every two weeks, starting January 14th, 2024
Any requests submitted from now on will be posted on the specified day (in the event of a substantial number of requests, they will be posted based on the order of reception in my inbox. Just a gentle reminder: I'm featuring only 4-5 pieces each Sunday!)
Tumblr media
SINFUL SUNDAY UPDATE AS OF 15/02/24
As I'm heading to Japan on March 1st, there will be some changes to Sinful Sunday.
the upcoming Sinful Sunday by the end of February will be the last one before my Japan trip. Sinful Sunday will resume on April 27th, and I'll remind you about it in a post
Tumblr media
SINFUL SUNDAY UPDATE AS OF 23/04/24 - TOTAL CHANGE IN FORMAT
due to the large number of 5k celebration requests, Sinful Sunday will be postponed to May 11th
I've decided to change things up for this recurring event. Since Sinful Sunday happens every two weeks, in the first week - I'll collect your requests. Then, a week before the event - I'll post a poll with all the submitted requests, so you can vote for your favourites. I think this will be the healthiest approach, especially since the last few Sinful Sundays have been overwhelming due to the influx of requests in a single day
the two works with the most votes will be posted every Sinful Sunday
all unused requests will either be deleted or saved for separate stories (only if I really like specific requests)
repeated or similar requests to stories I've already posted will be deleted
you can submit requests for Sunful Sunday starting now, and the first poll will be posted on May 4th
fandoms I write for: My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Honkai Star Rail, Genshin Impact, Jujutsu Kaisen, Wind Breaker, Bucchigiri!?, Obey Me, Haikyuu

The names of the Gods
I vaguely promised an essay on my thoughts on the names of the Gods about a week ago or so, and thus I shall deliver :)
A few months ago when I was scrolling on TikTok (as one does), I came across a video by @olympianbutch talking about invocations in traditional Hellenic Polytheist prayers. The whole video was good, so I'll link the video (for the invocation): [here], and you can watch it all for yourselves. (And you should watch the two videos before it, they were equally good and educational). In it, he explained why we start prayers by saying the Gods' names: "This is because the ancient Greeks believed that when you said a God's name, They went: [insert action of dramatically turning around here]." Now, this was definitely funny, but once the full implications of that statement sunk in, it permanently changed how I viewed my own praying (in a good way, of course, otherwise I wouldn't be writing this thing based off of the video).
Now, the idea that your speech can call a God to you is something incredibly amazing, incredibly beautiful, and incredibly powerful. It means that the very second you state Their name, They can see your whole situation, and respond accordingly. I think this is something good to keep in mind, especially as the influence of 2020 witchtok/pagantok fades out (I was deep in this back then, so I'm speaking from that perspective [at some point in the future I'm doing a ramble on this as well, and how it impacted my early worship + relationships with the Gods {no hate if you were there too, I think it lowkey sucked for all of us}]). I used to feel really nervous that I didn't have a Real Connection with the Gods because I wasn't constantly hearing Their voices in my head, or having some kind of miraculous encounter with Them on a daily basis, and I used to base a lot of the idea of a "successful prayer life" around those encounters. However, since hearing of the concept of the Gods seeing you when their names are called, I've found my worries about that trickling away. When I pray, whichever God I'm praying to is there, and I can simply revel in the knowledge that I am standing (or sitting, or kneeling) in the presence of the God(s). The Gods are ever-present to begin with, but by calling upon Them in prayer, I am able to be face-to-face with Them in a more meaningful way, even if it's not something immediately sensible.
Beyond my prayer life, I've also found myself a lot more thoughtful about when I say the Gods' names. For deities that I worship frequently like Hermes or Dionysos, I'll be a bit more lax. I'll call upon Them for little things, like seeing a little crystal phallus in a metaphysical shop, or praying for safe travels. For deities that I once worshiped closely, like Artemis, I'll call upon Her in praise of the beauty of nature, especially if it's getting Real Beautiful or Real Cool. And even for deities that I rarely worship except on feasts, like Zeus, I'll call upon Him in praise of good things that fall under His domain, as a "I know it was You doing this!" kind of thing.
Anyways, this ended up a bit more rambly than I initially intended it to be, but I hope that somewhere within this ADHD-addled writing there was something of substance that's useful to you in your practice :) The Gods are always there, something something, always good, something something, I love Them.

Dragon's Dogma Primer + Tips
I've been spending tons of time with Dragon's Dogma 2. I loved the first game and was shocked they chose to make a sequel. Legitimately Dragon's Dogma is like, the only franchise that actually has the power to make me genuinely enjoy video games again like when I was a kid.
I also noticed that a lot of people new to the franchise have picked it up this time around and are bumping their heads against it, which is great! Now I'll actually have people to talk to about Dragon's Dogma :')
I wanted to write a little primer and 'beginners tips' to help people learn how to approach the series. Here's some pointers:
Dragon's Dogma gets a lot of comparisons to Dark Souls. I wouldn't say it's because it's a hard game, but it does expect you to approach it on its own terms and won't make many concessions to you if you try to fight it.
DD is a management game masquerading as an open-world RPG. What it expects of you is to move slowly and take your time. It wants you to plan your journey, anticipate challenges, pace yourself, and prepare accordingly. You'll find much less friction if you keep this in mind.
'Fast Travel' as a concept is hard to come by in DD, and you will find yourself walking most places. The ability to instantly teleport yourself anywhere is limited to Ferrystones and Portcrystals, which are both in very limited supply. DD2 has Oxcarts from major settlements, but these are also imperfect by-design as they are time-dependent and prone to attacks, which may leave you stranded. Remember: DD is by and large about preparation and long journeys. Try shortening your routes by exploring for shortcuts, or treating every trip like an opportunity to explore a new area on the way.
DD LOVES rare and consumable items. Some of the best and most useful items in the game are often unique and can only be used once or in a limited capacity. This helps make the items feel more exclusive, while also encouraging you to be doubly sure of your intention before using them. If an item seems like it could be rare, it probably is.
Explore everywhere. In my opinion, DD's level design is unmatched in terms of open-world games. There are things hidden absolutely everywhere in every nook and cranny. If you comb every location you will constantly find new things, and it goes out of its way to ensure exploration is rewarded. I don't think any video game does open world exploration quite as good as DD does.
The quest design is cryptic (and often questionable) and likes to challenge you. The game will say 'find [x] item' and not tell you where it is. Sometimes pawn knowledge may help, but expect to find it through exploring the world and digging around hidden corners. While some quests let you know where to go, don't always expect it.
Some side quests are gated by story progression and will become locked off when advancing the story. Make sure you finish all your side quests before advancing the story!
Don't jump in and accept every quest you see, as some quests are timed and some quests require a lot of preparation. For example, in DD1 escort quests involved escorting someone across the whole world. Read a quest carefully and know the terms before accepting it.
Timed quests are a thing, and usually act as a way to keep you on your toes and force you to prove your ability to adapt to changing circumstances. Expect to receive timed quests at any given moment, and adapt accordingly. They can be stressful.
New Game + is a major part of the game in the DD franchise. Things will happen in the game that will block you out of content. You will fail quests, make choices that block future content, consume items you didn't mean to, etc. NG+ is where you get to experience these all again, so don't worry too much if you weren't able to do it the first time around.
Per above, I personally avoid Googling stuff about the game or quests before doing them. Usually there are things you are going to miss, and reading about them sometimes feels worse than just discovering them later does!
There are two types of saves: "Hard" saves which occur when sleeping at an inn, and "Soft" saves done manually or via auto-save. Sometimes it's prudent to rest at an Inn before attempting major quest beats in case something goes awry.
DD loves consequences for your actions, and while every NPC in the game can be killed it is rarely ever worth it. In DD1, killing an NPC means they're gone forever, which can lock you out of new quests or progression and rewards related to that character. In DD2 there are resources costs to resurrect someone, which mitigates it slightly but still makes it not worth it.
'Forgeries' are a very cool mechanic that allow you to pay an NPC to make a copy of an item. The copy usually just looks identical, but this often allows you to keep quest items for yourself and turn in the forgery to a quest NPC. As with anything else, sometimes this may have future consequences!
Without spoiling anything: DD loves to radically change the open world. Watch out!
The Vocation system is worth exploring. For a cheap fee you can try out every class and find what works best for you, so if you start as a Fighter and hate being a Fighter you're never locked into it.
Levelling a vocation allows you to unlock passive abilities called 'augments' that can carry over between classes, and can help build your favourite vocation further.
Some Vocations have mobility skills (Levitate and Double-Vault). If you like exploring everywhere these are absolutely essential because they let you reach places some classes cannot.
Combining materials makes new items. Experiment to find new recipes.
In DD1 combining items often makes them heavier. In DD2 combining items often makes them lighter.
Every character in the game has an 'affinity' towards you, that changes with how you treat them. This has implications.
Anyway I'm just glad people are finally playing and talking about the franchise. Hope you have fun! :)

Get to know my TWST OCs pt. 2
"What Nicknames Do They Have?"
💫💫💫
Figured maybe doing a series of posts like this would help friends and mutuals get to know my OCs better!
Part 1: What Are They Twisted From? | Part 3: Copper's Backstory
While this will pertain to Floyd's and Rook's nicknaming conventions, there's also going to be a second part to this that will be a separate post for additional nicknames from other characters, both canon and others' OCs that have formed a significant relationship with my characters! That'll come later tho.
Copper Benoit:
"Sea Dog" (Floyd) - Initially, since Copper's origin and heritage are rather unknown until later plot developments, Floyd picked this nickname because the wind magic Copper utilizes often has a salty sea tang to it, and because there's a certain irony to it, given Copper has grown up under captivity in a bayou and cannot swim. When it's later revealed he's descended from a legendary pirate captain, Floyd feels vindicated and doubles down on the nickname.
"Petit Brigand | Roi des Brigands" (Rook) - when Copper first visits NRC, Rook pretty quickly clocks that the boy's got no small skill as a thief at the behest of his master forcing Copper to become one. Copper is understandably freaked out when he hears Rook call him "little robber" (how did he figure that out, Copper has looked for every excuse to not actually follow Mr. Stone's demands) and Rook reads him like an open book. When Copper's heritage is revealed, Rook delightedly changes the nickname on impulse.
Mr. Stone and Mr. Lurk:
"Rockfish and Chromium" (Floyd) - according to him, they're placeholder names. Hey, they can't all be perfect right away! However, as time goes on, he sticks with these nicknames for them, deeming both men not worthy of the effort.
Likewise, Rook doesn't believe either of them worth the effort or honor of nicknames.
(Floyd does nickname Augustus and Octavian "the Allibros", just a little portmanteau of "alligator brothers", and it's entirely possible that they might each get individual nicknames in the future if he gets to play with the alligators more after Copper officially keeps them. Same goes for Rook, he's more likely to refer to them with nicknames after Copper makes it clear he's keeping the alligators around in order to free them from Mr. Stone's abusive ownership.)
Wei Renqiao:
"Orca" (Floyd) - people assume that due to WRQ's size and intimidating stature but seemingly amicable nature that this is why Floyd chose the nickname. Sure, that can apply, but early on in their freshman year, Floyd overhead WRQ talking with Riddle about his culture, and the fact that his people used to be nomadic and the way they trace their heritage is matrilineal. This made Floyd say "oh, so like an orca pod" and he's called WRQ "Orca" ever since.
"Grand Génie" (Rook) - credit has to go to my close friend @inmateofthemind for coming up with this one, as a respectful title Rook would use for WRQ. (iirc it means "great genius", though I'm sure it would take a hot second for anyone to puzzle that out)
Wei Xinyi:
"Ribbon Eel" (Floyd) - picked on a whim when hearing WRQ talking about his cousin being genderfluid. Turns out it fits better than Floyd expected when he first sees Wei Xinyi and realizes they're definitely as colorful as a ribbon eel too.
"Monsieur beauté mortelle" (Rook) - Listen. Wei Xinyi is an extremely, breathtakingly beautiful person. Like preternaturally beautiful, and people are often left speechless when they first see him. Rook was no exception and decided to pick a nickname accordingly.
Wei Gang:
"King Salmon" (Floyd)
"Monsieur tradition culturelle" (Rook)
Still working on figuring out how to explain the Watsonian explanation for these ones, as I'm being a little picky; I'll update later as needed.
Chrysanthos Shroud:
"Axolotl" (Floyd) - Chrys makes quite a stark impression when the Octotrio first meets him, but that hardly means that Floyd doesn't take notice of Chrys's limp after he leaves with a flourish. Floyd figures it could be either the result of an old injury that never healed correctly or the sign of an artificial limb. When he later learns the latter guess was correct and Chrys has a prosthetic leg, Floyd delightedly equates him to an axolotl and thus the nickname sticks.
Rook currently has no set nickname for Chrys! He tries to pick one a few different times, though Chrys gently shoots down a number of them with reasonable explanations as to why they might best fit others. The big thing however, is that Rook also winds up getting one of Chrysanthos's lectures and reads where Chrys points out Rook's weaknesses and shortcomings, and tries to offer some advice on what Rook can do to improve. Unlike most other students, who usually take Chrys's call-outs as an attack, Rook appreciates hearing the truth laid out to him, even if it does sting with that delivery. As such, this actually earns Chrys a lot of respect from Rook, so he is undecided on what to actually nickname him as a result (the nickname must be a perfect fit!) so for now, he just calls him "Monsieur Shroud".
Taglist: @blithesharem (thank you for prompting me to do this post in the first place!) @ramshacklerumble @inmateofthemind @tixdixl @simons-twsted-children @thehollowwriter @theleechyskrunkly @rainesol (let me know if you want to be added to the taglist for stuff about my OCs!)
Also if anyone has any better understanding of French and is willing to (kindly) correct any awkwardness in my selection of Rook's nicknames, please DM me!

Honestly, I’m starting to wonder if Sonetto rejecting Vertin’s gifts didn’t affect her a ton. Like, obviously it did, but I mean in a lasting way. Their dynamic changed completely, from Vertin constantly seeking out Sonetto to Sonetto constantly wanting to spend more time with Vertin.
Obviously, Vertin doesn’t reject her, but she doesn’t actively reach out anymore… Could she still be hurt by Sonetto’s rejection, and too scared of it happening again to try again? Or worried that despite Sonetto’s change of attitude, she would still choose her loyalty to the Foundation over everything else?
And I wonder how much of this is an organic development, VS the writers working within the specific constraints of a mobile game story. They can’t do anything that would change their dynamic too drastically for a ton of reasons: it could make Sonetto’s voicelines obsolete, confuse new players checking out new events without past context, upset the playerbase (if they prefer other Vertin ships)… It’s possible they’re saving any major developments for future main story chapters too, leaving Vertin and Sonetto in a status quo for the moment. Or maybe Sonetto’s crush is truly one-sided and I’m coping hard.
Aaah I’m just starving for Vertin and Sonetto content that focuses more on Vertin’s perspective. Sonetto’s side is so obvious, but Vertin’s is kind of a mystery to me. Sorry for rambling in your ask box, I hope this gives you some food for thought at least.
I won't turn down a free meal so no need to be sorry 😎
When it comes to shipping culture, shippers are going to sail no matter how strong the current is. Unless the fans get toxic and we have another Voltron on our hands (it's better if you don't know).
I understand your frustration. It's really the large gaps in their childhood that make this so hard to figure out. Why is Sonetto suffering from puppy love? We see Vertin is comfortable teasing her too so they are closer but how did we get here?
Something is missing.
Also, I wouldn't say that Vertin isn't reaching out to her, but rather she changed the way she interacts with everyone.
Smoltin: Look at what I found!
Vertin: Are you interested in___?
Vertin treats most of the people she meets like this. What are your motives? Dreams? Wishes? What do you want to do? And then she acts accordingly.
With Regulus, it was freedom.
With Druvis, it was a moving forward to a new future.
With Schneieder it was a shelter.
Even when fighting her enemies, she reaches out offering what she can and tells them she can be what they need if they come with her. Vertin isn't lying either, unlike Manus or the Foundation. She reveals her limitations as well as what she can do for you. If you played through Green Lake, you'd have the perfect example of this but the previous chapters do a great job establishing this too.
Present day Sonetto expressed a desire to see the world. (Also she likes riding stuff like trains and buses. Vertin should take her on a hayride during pumpkin season. She'd love it. ) ANYWAY, Vertin spends more time asking what other people want to do than bringing up her own story.
And that could be because she's seen the end of so many stories cut short by the Storm. She has changed.
This is also why it's hard to pinpoint what love is for Vertin. She's the one giving most of the time but we don't know what she wants aside from the truth and peace. You could say she needs a place to belong, but that could extend to everyone in her Suitcase living under her protection and protecting her in return (found family is best family).
So what can a “lover” give Vertin anyway? What is it that Vertin wants? What does she need? (No one say milf if I hear one more mother joke I'll eat my phone.)
I have a hot take. If nothing about this girl I is conventional, then I don't think her love life would be either if she had one. But…I have no idea what that would look like.
Notice how you asked about wanting to see into Vertin’s head and I made it more confusing. This ended up with more questions. 😅
But if can find Vertin's "void", we can figure out how she works in a dynamic with other characters and what they provide to fill it. In this case, what is it Sonetto does for Vertin?

Hi, I'd like to ask something about dlcs. I apologize in advance if this turns out to be a stupid question but I really have no idea about how game industry works. So... do software houses usually decide the plot of the dlcs together with the main game (or at least before the main game is released on the market) or they tend to wait for the audience's feedback and then start planning accordingly? Like, when the game is out, a certain character ends up being very popular in the fandom. So... will they decide to focus the dlc on this popular character in order to give ppl what they want or they're still gonna stick to their original plans? In a few words, could fandom popularity influence the plot of future content of a game?
Tumblr media
Generally speaking, the ease of making changes to the game, its narrative/characters/content is inversely proportional to how close that content is to release. The closer the patch/DLC/update is to release, the more locked-down and set-in-stone it is. This is because these kind of changes will often affect other systems, narratives, characters, systems, etc. and that kind of propagation through the system gets more expensive the more changes need to be made later on. I'll use my current project as my example.
Tumblr media
My current project is getting close to launch. We already have the first several seasons of content for this game scheduled - we plan on adding several significant boss fights and content updates over the course of the next year. The first new boss scheduled to go live in the first post-launch update is the closest to being done. That boss already has all of its mechanics locked down, all of the art done, all of the voice over recorded, all of the features designed, and so on. At this point, we're just tuning the fight because it's so close to release that we don't want to risk breaking anything. No matter what the community reception is for this particular character in the narrative, they're getting this fight because we've already locked in those plans months before launch and it's too late to change them now.
Tumblr media
The further into the future we go, however, the more malleable things become. A good rule of thumb is to assume we on the dev team are working two or three patches ahead of whatever you're currently seeing in game. Content patches are often quarterly releases, which means that the thing I am working on today probably won't be seen by players for at least 3-6 months down the line. If supporting character Neelo turns into a huge fan favorite, we can pivot to add more content to feature Neelo - and sometimes we do! However, even if Neelo becomes super popular right at launch, that likely means the fastest we will be able to add more Neelo to the content updates (if we didn't plan to do so before) is in around six months post-launch. The patches before that are already in the process of being locked down and getting ready for certification and launch, it's too late to change them.

So I'm *still* thinking about the most recent FnF chapter, specifically that line Silco gives Jinx about making a kill and doing it right - because it almost reads as...merciful? coming from him, in that moment? Or like a deeper glimpse into how violence plays a part in his own actions and identity, and the standards he weighs that violence against. Idk it just gave me lots of food for thought, and I'm curious how you see the relationship between his rage/violence and himself, and what all's feeding into the reaction that scene got out of him?
Heeee I'm so glad you liked that part, and that it gave food for thought. It's absolutely something I'll be exploring in future chapters, and throughout the fic<333
"It's a little crude, I'll admit - the base violence necessary for change."
I go back to this line whenever addressing Silco's relationship with violence in FnF. Fundamentally, I write his character as - at least on the surface - an ideologue wrapped in the ruthlessly pragmatic skin of a hatchet man.
He wasn't born the strongest, or fastest, or smartest. But he's lasted as long as he has because he does what needs to be done, no matter how high the moral cost or how messy the consequences.
That doesn't mean he revels in the violence itself. If anything, by describing it as 'base', he acknowledges that he's corrupting the purity of his vision. But as he also states, "Topside won't listen to anything else."
His ends (Zaun) justify his means (drugs, gang violence, manipulation, murder). And yet the irony is that in his struggle to achieve freedom for the Undercity, he proves Marx and Du Bois' theory of how man is the product of his social conditions, and therefore cannot be the maker of his own freedom, much less his own happiness.
Silco is an extremely intuitive and self-aware character. I have little doubt he's cognizant of his own hypocrisy - or the limitations of his gamble. But he forges ahead anyway, because he's utterly possessed by his ideals even as he is the very antithesis of the idealism itself.
The man truly is a walking paradox - on the one hand willing to minimize mess by staging a coup against Topside through scare tactics, but on the other hand ready to kill his rival's children just to make a point; to give his underlings second chances to prove themselves, but ready to kick a man to death just to regain control over himself; to let his chem-barons, like Renni, live despite them conspiring against him, but to make plain that he'd kept her son as a hostage in his factory just in case she overstepped.
In FnF, his ethos is repeatedly described as "Cost and reward." I wanted to focus on that facet because he's undergone extreme violence himself at other's hands (psychologically, emotionally, institutionally). Yet each setback, despite scarring him, has also pared down his softer sensibilities, and made him sharper, colder, crueler.
He's a survivor, who has clawed his way to power from nothing. But he also understands that power comes with a price, and that its processes must be respected. There are aspects of it he enjoys, but also aspects that he recognizes as possessing both gravity and consequence - and which must be treated accordingly.
In FnF, we see that in his approach with the chem-barons: they speak violence as a crass language, and make a show of the power they've attained, because it's a means in itself rather than a tool employed for a greater end. His riposte each time is to drag them down to earth, humble them, humiliate them.
In making a spectacle, he imparts the message, "You have no real power and disrespect the cost of achieving it. Therefore you don't deserve it."
I also have an upcoming flashback scene of Jinx's initiation into his gang - her first kill. She is thirteen, and Silco quite literally looks her in the eye and orders her to put a bullet in a traitor's skull.
Do it, Silco thought.
It was but one of the hundred steps to forging her into polished perfection. To peeling away the moony-eyed child to expose that tungsten chilliness that Silco knew was at her center. Power was a commodity in their world. By dint of its nature, supply was limited. All scarcity came with cost—be it a rival chem-boss painting a bullseye between your eyes, or an ally sticking a knife in your back, or an underling seeking to steal your throne from under your feet.
They all wanted to own what you possessed.
They all took without paying the price.
Silco had taught Jinx the language of knives. He'd showed her the intimacy of violence, not just as a display of force but a measure of skill.  Now she needed to master the final lesson. Anyone in the Undercity could wield a weapon. Anything in the Undercity could become a weapon. But at its core, a weapon was neither a toy for showy enjoyment nor a tool for sanctified self-defense. It was the purest and most absolute means of death.
He wasn't making Jinx a killer. He was teaching her the cost of survival.
About its winners—and losers.
This is also why I write his network as vaguely militaristic in its jargon, hierarchy and general efficiency. The men and women serving his cause are professionals: they execute a strategy, minimize waste and don't cause more damage than is necessary. Combat isn't a game to them; it's all in a day's work because in the end, violence isn't a glorified game, or a gory hobby.
It's a tool like anything else.
It's also why Sevika and the crew dislike Jinx - because she isn't driven by cool competence but rather her own demons: showily blasting Enforcers just to get the Hex-gem, turning a drug shipping operation into a massacre because she has a flashback, going into meltdown mode if something overwhelms her etc...
She's a wildcard.
No hierarchy is tolerant of those.
It's also ironic, because Silco is himself a wildcard, and at his core powered by the same unhinged instinct and unresolved trauma as Jinx. It comes out in his thirst for retribution against Topside - a thirst that shapes much of FnF's plot - and also in his antagonism towards Vi, whom he refuses to leave alone (although to be fair, FnF Vi is as violent as him and as volatile as Jinx).
In the scene with the raven, seeing Jinx torturing the bird (except she wasn't really - she just ended up hurting it because she misjudged her own strength when she grabbed it) reminds him of the conflict for Zaun's independence, and how he devolved into pure feral survival instinct - as well as the toll it took on him, his child, his crew, his city.
"Quick and clean - if you make a kill, do it right."
And yet inwardly, he questions if he did anything right. His child is unstable, his city is gutted, his brother is dead, his comrades are gone, and now he must confront the cost each morning in the ugly light of day.
Nothing has been quick and clean.
Nothing turned out right.
And he must live on regardless.

The Future of Support on Patreon
I've been doing a lot of consideration about how to proceed with Patreon due to their new community guidelines...
I'm planning to proceed with business as usual for April because honestly they didn't really give us much time to plan for this or anything. Just "you're suddenly breaking our rules"... but I don't want to do that to y'all so assuming I don't get the boot sometime this month, things should be relatively the same. Going forward however (post April) I will no longer be able to post exclusive content to Patreon. I'll still be working of course, and I'll still need support but my work will just be posted publicly to my socials. My Patreon will still remain active (assuming I don't get kicked off or something like that) so I can still collect earnings there but I won't be posting work or polls there. I'm hoping despite my art and polls being open publicly that y'all will still consider supporting me so I can continue to draw cute tummies and such. I appreciate all the support you've been giving me all these years!
There will be some changes on my creator page, reward tiers will be coming down (including monthly commissions) so this will be the final month for those rewards. Please plan accordingly and make any adjustments to your pledges that you need to this month! Especially monthly commission rewards since I know those are a bit pricey.
My work will be posted to my Twitter, Tumblr, Blue Sky, Furaffinity and Pixiv accounts as well as the Choose Your Own Adventure polls and I will be opening commissions periodically so if you want one please keep an eye out for announcements on those sites! It really sucks to have to make this decision, I won't blame any of y'all for deleting your pledges without exclusive rewards/content. As of right now I don't really have any better options (open to suggestions though).
I'm just so tired of companies riding the backs of sex workers and kink artists until they no longer need us and throw us under the bus. When I stop to think about the really popular kink artists on that platform and how much money Patreon has made off them it makes me sick, honestly.
But I digress...
I hope everyone is having a good day regardless. I will keep fighting the good fight and keeping the love alive for cute tummies. <3

Forced Retirement AU- Prologue
As promised, I'm working on writing my AU! I'll continue to post arts and chapters here. I've decided to write the AU in a way that avoids direct manga spoilers, though the AU is inspired by a manga spoiler. Read at your own risk! Summary: After recovering from an accident, Katsuki learns to deal with the aftermath both physically and mentally. After spending his life assured of his future, he needs to find his place in the world when that's no longer possible. This is a BKDK fic, featuring an established relationship.
WARNINGS: Panic attacks, mental health talk, depression, self loathing. May have sexual themes in the future but will be marked accordingly. Teeth rotting fluff to balance it all out. I'll edit to post links to future parts here. Enjoy!
Ringing pierced his ears as he watched a muted mouth move as it spoke to him. The sound of his heart pounding silenced the world around him as his body began to panic. His breathing felt erratic as his throat threatened to collapse in on itself. He could see it in her eyes, the nurses’ speech pausing as she scrambled to his side as shock trembled his entire body. He remembered staring down at his hands, vision blurred, convinced he was going to die in the moment - because what was left worth living for? _________________________ Shrugging on his coat, Katsuki pushed aside the memory that prodded at his mind. He’d never forget that feeling of his blood running cold, losing the ability to hear. He wished he could forget. It’d be easier. He cursed under his breath as he felt his chest tighten. He wasn’t doing this, not today. He slid his hands down his coat slowly, smoothing the soft cotton. His suit was a stylish maroon, with a dark blue t-shirt underneath. It was a bit fancier than he’d prefer, but for the occasion he was willing to make an exception. He met his gaze in the glass reflection, scanning over himself. His throat tightened, eyes wrenching shut to wish away the negative emotions. Fuck, fuck, he could not do this today. “Kacchan?” Katsuki’s eyes snapped open to meet the bright, green ones in the reflection. Turning his body he met them directly, Izuku’s disquiet look making his stomach flip. The last thing he wanted was to ruin this day, ruin it with his stupid fucking thoughts. “I’m almost ready, sorry.”
Katsuki managed to keep his tone flat, lips tightening into a line as he willed himself back to composure. Izuku returned a small smile, reaching to take the blond's hand firmly. He looked down at their hands, taking a deep breath as he squeezed, running his thumb over the changing textures of the scarred hands. Katsuki stiffened from a sudden contact to his face, looking up to meet pools of verdant green as a warm hand rested against his jaw. “You know I can tell when you’re lying,” he teased, tone soft. A warmth spread through Katsuki’s face as he averted his gaze, a frown pulling at his lips. Intimacy was hard - impossible, even - at the best of times. It’d taken years of consistency from Izuku to not perceive his own vulnerability as weakness, and still he tried his best to hide his weakness.
Anything to not feel like a failure. “Pft, bullshit, I have the best poker face in the damn country,” he scoffed, giving a gentle smile as he met Izuku’s gaze once more, causing them both to chuckle warmly. The moment hung as the silence started to grow uncomfortable with each second. Katsuki’s pulse raised as he swallowed thickly. He hated this. What could he even say? “You know..” Izuku trailed, looking down at their hands. He dropped the one from Katsuki’s face to grab his other hand. “You don’t need to come,” he said plainly, attempting to hide what would be disappointment. Afterall, he wanted Katsuki by his side for everything and anything. Katsuki’s brow knit together as he scowled.  “Like hell I’m missing this,” he growled. “You’ve worked your fucking ass off for this! No way in hell I’m not going.” Izuku smiled warmly, squeezing Katsuki’s hands. “You mean, we’ve worked hard for this. I couldn’t have done it without you, Kacchan.”
With a roll of his eyes Katsuki leaned down, roughly pulling Izuku against him as their lips met. It was firm, chest heaving slightly with a sigh as he released the tension building inside of him. Pulling away, Katsuki leaned his head against Deku’s. “Always so fuck’n modest,” he whispered. Untangling their hands he wrapped his arms around the other tightly, Izuku bringing a hand to his hair as the other rubbed down his back. Izuku listened as Katsuki swallowed thickly against his ear, a shaky breath leaving his lungs as Katsuki clung to the smaller man. “Listen,” he spoke carefully, praying his voice would not betray his last scrap of dignity. “I’m not gonna lie, this is hard. I want this for you, more than anything, but I still- fuck.”
Katsuki grit his teeth, a tear rolling down his cheek as he buried his face into Izuku’s neck. “Kacchan, it’s ok to feel this way, you don’t have to explain yourself,” Izuku reassured. “I can’t imagine what you’re feeling.” He ran a hand through Katsuki’s hair, pulling back to hold his head in his hands, smoothing bangs away from his eyes. “I love you, you know. Nothing will ever make you less of a hero to me.” With a scoff Katsuki smiled softly, moving one of Izuku’s hands from his face so he could rub tears from his eyes. “Fucking sop,” he teased. “Always gotta be the fucking hero, whether its a big bad villain or my fucked up self confidence issues.”
Izuku pouted. “Kacchan-” “Yeah yeah, I love you too, nerd,” he huffed, leaning down to kiss his forehead. “Sorry, just got in my own head.”
Izuku shook his head. “Hey, it’s alright. You know you don’t like asking for help, but I’m always happy to uh, rescue a damsel in distress. I mean, it’s sort of my job,” he teased, Katsuki feigning a frown, trying to hold back a laugh. He playfully pushed Izuku off him, crossing his arms. “Fuck you, I may not be a hero but I ain’t no damsel.” Izuku’s laughter filled the room, Katsuki feeling the warmth spread throughout his body as he watched tears prickle at the side of the other’s eyes. He’d felt this a few times in his life, the realization of why Izuku would someday be #1 - and this was one of those times. His panic attacks had been nothing new. His head often too loud, void of silence, but he’d learned to live with it. It was different with Izuku, though. There were never long, hollow hours after crying, no zombie-like days of feeling numb. There was light. In fact, the deeper the darkness grew, the more dazzling the light shined. And that light to him was Izuku. He was still picking himself back up every day, learning to exist in a world where his dream was a barred, closed off possibility. But with Izuku there it felt less bleak, less exhausting. He had a reason to keep fighting for a day where he felt adrenaline for life once more. Katsuki smiled, letting out a small huff as he watched Izuku regain his composure. “I swear to god, no one deserves that damn spot more than you.” Izuku met his eyes, the sincerity gleaming behind the statement left Izuku nearly on the brink of tears. “I’ll fucking kill them if they even think of putting you back in #2,” he growled. Izuku held back a smile. “Kacchan!” he chuckled. “What? Name one hero who worked fucking harder than you? I still think it’s unfair they didn’t place you there after all that All For One crap,” he scoffed. “Kacchan, you know they can’t just put a 16-year old under that much responsibility,” he laughed. “Does it look like I fucking care? That place is yours,” he smirked, shifting to place both hands on Izuku’s waist, and placing another soft kiss to his lips. Slow, intimate. A letter to the other for his gratefulness, for pulling him from his mind once more. “Let’s go get you that #1 spot.” Izuku smiled widely. Eyes determined, he nodded.

Chapter I: Game
PAIRING: Vegeta/Reader RATING: PG CONTENTS: Lots of teasing, explicit sexual content in the following chapters. WARNINGS: Alcohol drinking, but not too much. WORDCOUNT: 5424
Summary: An AU in which Earth was destroyed, and you are one of the few humans left alive. The plot is meaningless once the smut comes up.
Notes: I have two disclamers:
The plot is there cause I wanted a different context that the usual domestic stuff. But I'm putting this out there now, the story actually goes nowhere and I apologize. In my head, the full story would have taken 20 chapters or so in being resolved but I know I won't be writing all that. So I settled with this little plot, particularly in the first chapter. The next two chapters will be smut.
Lastly, this is my first time writing for the dbz fandom and my first time writing Vegeta. I gotta be honest, I'm not sure if I did him justice. He was hard for me to write, especially in this context but I did my best. Hopefully I'll get better in the future.
I crossposted this on AO3, you can read it here too. This will have three chapters total, and I'll post them during the week. Thank you!
You slowly opened your eyes, blinking a few times, as you woke up from the induced sleep you were in. The pod was incredibly uncomfortable to sleep in, luckily it had only been a few days, and you were a couple of minutes away to land. Out the window, you could see a planet whose name you didn’t even bother to learn. Every planet belonging to Frieza was named after him and were numbered accordingly anyway.
Most planets started to look the same the minute you started working under Frieza. Though working wasn’t the right word, you were mostly in it for convenience and survival, it still made you sick to your stomach thinking about it. Fortunately you weren’t that important to him to even meet him, and your job was just as a mechanic, and sometimes just simple monitoring. You were just a mere pawn, strong enough to be in his army, but weak enough to be unknown. Which was fine, you simply followed orders until you could find the moment to get away.
After getting out of the pod once you landed, you quickly made your way to your room at the base. The mission you were assigned this time was unclear, but the order was to board one of the larger ships, departing later that day. You were wary as to why your presence was required, but it wasn’t like you could even question it. Since it was one of the bigger units, you figured they might need a mechanic, just in case something happened. For a second you contemplated not going, but considering you were at Frieza’s base planet, it wouldn’t have been wise.
After taking a shower and changing your clothes, putting on a brand new armor, you packed a couple of clothes and other personal items, and left to board the ship.
Once you stepped into the spacecraft, you were thankful there was a bar in there. Space alcohol wasn’t like Earth’s, but it was better than nothing. It’s been a while since you even had a drink.
After Earth was destroyed, and only a couple of earthlings were saved, no one prepared you for how lonely it was to be a survivor. You missed your friends, your parents, your pet. You realized what it actually meant to be human when you learnt most people working for Frieza didn’t do much in the time when they didnt have to work. Drinking was granted, for sure, but there wasn't even a variety of culture within the army. Music wasn’t common, let alone dancing. Food tasted all the same. Humans couldn’t be the only ones who enjoyed those things. You figured Frieza not only discouraged those practices, he also expected his soldiers not only to get rid of the inhabitants of the planets he desired, but also their culture.
Shaking your head, trying to get rid of the thoughts in your mind, you washed your face in the bathroom, once you were settled in your room. Wearing makeup was also something you missed, you thought while looking in the mirror. Not like aliens even cared about that.
Once on board, it surprised you how similar the bar on the ship looked like bars on Earth. Pubs and bars were so different on every planet you have visited. But this one had neon lights flashing, in an otherwise dark room. The lack of music was the only thing giving it away. And the people, who weren’t even people, but creatures that didn’t resemble humans, except maybe for a few aliens, whose skin was colored in bright pinks, purples or greens.
“What are the drinks here?” You asked the bartender, as you sat by the counter.
“For tonight’s special, we have fish liquor with purpberry,” The squid-looking creature who tended the bar answered, far more politely than you’d expected. “And a mix of gin, ron and vodka, with blue tint and dragonfruit.”
You must have pulled a face, because he smiled at you while handing you the menu. Knowing what the specials had certainly made you want to get out of there fast.
When you looked at the menu, you realized not bringing your scouter was a bad idea. You haven’t really memorized the universal language yet, you had no idea what most of those drinks even had. You were about to ask the bartender for help again, when you heard someone talk beside you.
“I’ll buy you a drink.”
The man who talked was standing right beside you, smirking and imposing. He was tall, with long hair, and for a second you thought he was human, until you noticed the tail wrapped around his waist. A Saiyan, huh?
You considered turning down his offer, but you haven’t interacted with anyone who looked so close to a human in a long time. Might as well, you didn’t even know what the drinks in that place had.
“Well, my mother told me never to accept anything from a stranger,” You smiled, as charmingly as you could. “Especially if they are an alien.”
“Good thing she is not here.”
He grinned, smug, as he leaned closer to you. You could swear he was sniffing you.
You kept your smile, as you handed him the menu.
“You pay, you choose.”
“Two Fire Missions.” The man said to the bartender, without even looking at the list of drinks. “What’s your name?”
You introduced yourself before asking for his.
“Raditz,” He answered, letting his tail unwrap from his waist and move around. You eyed it, curiously, while he spoke. “I’m surprised to see someone who looks so much like my race here.”
“I could say the same, haven’t talked to anyone that even looks like me.”
“Care to sit with us, then?” Raditz asked, signaling to a table near a window.
Two men were sitting by. They indeed looked human, but you knew they must have had tails, just like Raditz did.
Had this been a situation occurring on Earth, you would have declined in an instant. But you were in a spaceship, with people who weren’t even people. And you were very intentionally hiding how strong you were, your ki being under control at all times. Saiyans were tough, you knew that much, but you could stand up to yourself, if needed.
“Alright,” You agreed, trying not to give it too much thought.
Raditz grabbed the drinks when the bartender handed them to you, as you stood up, walking over the table where the two other men were sitting.
By human standards, these guys were attractive. You gazed at them as Raditz introduced them to you; the man named Nappa was bald and sporting a mustache, and he was even bigger than Raditz; the one named Vegeta had a stern look, with hair spiking upwards. He was glaring at you though, and it unnerved you a bit. Nappa, on the other hand, unashamedly looked at your behind.
“I can see you guys know how to treat women,” You commented after Raditz had introduced you all, looking daggers at him, suppressing the urge to kick him in the face.
“She doesn’t have a tail,” Raditz commented, putting your drink in front of you.
“So what are you?” Nappa asked, grinning.
“I’m human,” You answered.
“A weakling, then.” Vegeta commented with a scorn.
“Charming,” You commented, smiling but throwing a dirty look his way. “I might be human, but I wouldn’t trust your scouters that much.”
“Feisty,” Raditz commented, putting his own scouter on the table, gesturing that he wasn’t going to be using it. “We aren’t here to talk about power levels anyway.”
“Keep it in your pants, Raditz,” Vegeta scoffed.
You snorted at his comment, just as Nappa laughed at Raditz, who took a swig of his drink. Intrigued, you looked at your own glass; it steamed and had a bright red and pink hue. You closed your eyes before taking a sip.
“What the fuck is in this?” You asked, pulling a face. Something was incredibly acidic in it, as if it contained the juice of five lemons.
It was Vegeta's turn to snort at your reaction.
“Five different liquors,” Raditz smirked, drinking like half of his glass in one gulp. “And hydra fruit.”
“I guess that’s the sour taste I feel,” You commented, taking a very small sip this time.
“No wonder your race got extinct,” Vegeta said, mockingly, while looking your way. “You can’t even handle the juice of a common fruit.”
“Wow, you really got an attitude, buddy.”
“Hey, girl,” Nappa said, trying to reroute the conversation, and drinking from his own glass. “You’re from that planet called Earth, right?”
You nodded, side eyeing Vegeta, who glowered at you.
“What fun stuff was there to do on Earth?”
“Oh, lots of stuff!” You replied, content with reminiscing about your life before Frieza. “We had bars, just like this one in almost every corner. The only difference is that there was also loud music and dancing. You could dance all night!”
“We have places like those on most planets,” Raditz commented. “But it was only women dancing.”
“Ah, so those kinds of places exist even in space, huh?” You asked, drinking a little more from your glass. You were slightly over the strong flavor, but you wouldn’t order that drink again. “I guess men are the same all over the universe.”
Both Raditz and Nappa snickered, while Vegeta looked a lot more annoyed than he used to, taking a swig of his glass.
“If all human women looked like you,” Nappa said, eyeing you up and down. “I’m not surprised Earth was filled with places like those.”
You rolled your eyes, but didn’t reply.
The night passed by more amicably than you’d expected. And while you knew both Nappa and Raditz were leering at you, they didn’t really act on it, aside from the occasional comment, so it didn’t bother you.
It caught your attention, however, that at one point, after pulling your hair back over your shoulder to look over a table from the other side of the room (where a fight had just broken out), the look on their faces changed when you turned to them once more. It was like they were in a trance, however briefly; even Vegeta seemed affected. You registered the incident in your head, but didn’t comment on it.
After you finished your drink, you stood up to leave, not really up to finding out how strong the rest of the cocktails available were. You were positive that one glass was already making you a little bit tipsy.
“Leaving already?” Raditz asked, you could sense the disappointment in his voice.
“You should have bought me a lighter drink, maybe I would have stayed for a second round.” You simpered.
Raditz was about to stand up to probably talk you out of leaving, but Vegeta put a firm hand on his shoulder, keeping him in place.
“Let her go,” Vegeta said, with a cold voice. “So we can talk about what’s important.”
You glared at him. You may have had one drink, but the amount of alcohol it had probably affected you a bit, because, while you were annoyed, you couldn’t focus on anything else other than the fact that he was attractive. And he would be even more so if he lost that angry expression on his face.
“You should relax a little, you know?” You said, leaning over the table, feeling three intense pairs of eyes fixed on you. “If you lose that scowl, you’re actually really good looking.”
Both Nappa and Raditz looked completely taken aback by your words, but Vegeta looked confused, raising one eyebrow. You smiled, not really expecting him to reply to you.
“Talk to you guys later.” You said, as you walked out the room.
*
“Wow, that was something.” Raditz commented, watching you until you were out the door.
“She seems too feeble to have the guts to say that.” Nappa said, amused.
Vegeta grunted, irritated.
“Damn it, Raditz, why did you bring a female to our table?”
“You didn’t think she would say yes to sitting with us, did you?” Raditz grinned, a touch smug. “There aren’t many humans left after Earth was destroyed, she must be lonely too.”
Vegeta heard the two men going on and on about you, but he wasn’t paying attention. He wondered if you realized how your mere presence affected them. Your scent was still lingering in his nostrils, and he took a gulp of his drink, trying to get rid of it, and cursing under his breath when that didn’t work.
Something stirred inside him that he didn’t want to acknowledge. Both Nappa and Raditz could talk about whatever basic needs they had, but not Vegeta. He was beyond that, he wasn’t an animal. Not only that, he was royalty. It was pathetic that they were even thinking of fraternizing with a species so weak like yours. Whatever urge invaded him when your smell intruded on him, he would bury it deep within, so he wouldn’t feel the need to act on it. He could definitely control it.
Vegeta shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He was going to train twice as hard as he usually did tomorrow.
*
While Nappa and Raditz seemed completely bewitched by you, there was something about Vegeta that caught your eye.
You chuckled to yourself, thinking that a shrink might be able to tell you why you wanted the attention of someone who seemed like a total jackass, instead of other people who were clearly interested in you.
They just wanna get laid, that’s all.
But so did you, to be fair. There weren’t many options on space, and it’s been almost a year since Earth was destroyed. And even before that, you hadn’t been with anyone for months. Might as well be a virgin again.
Still, you had to go for what seemed like the most difficult prey out there.
You sighed loudly, working on fixing one of the tanks in the medical bay. The inside engine had somehow malfunctioned, causing a short circuit, leaving it inoperable. It was an easy thing to fix, or at least for you it was after what Bulma taught you some time ago.
As you adjusted the cables, putting them back in place to check if they worked, you set your mind to maybe try to get Vegeta’s attention. He might be indifferent, but he was still a man. Maybe you could stir something in him.
You left the medical bay after fixing the tank, walking to your room with resolve, after you set your mind on your new target.
You got to the bar earlier than the day before, just to see with your scouter what all the cocktails had, so you wouldn’t fall for whatever weird taste the saiyans had when it came to alcohol. You sat by the counter, meticulously reading the menu, when you felt a familiar presence approaching you.
“Raditz.” You acknowledged him without taking your eyes off the card.
“Hey, girl.” He greeted you, standing on your right side, leaning over the counter so he could see your face. “Up for another Fire Mission?”
“No way, I’m never having that again in my life.”
“Didn’t think you’d back out that easily.”
“One full glass yesterday was enough.” You looked up at him with a smile. “Don’t worry, I’ll still drink something.”
“How about I invite you something this time?” Nappa had taken a seat to your left, and you turned to look at him.
“I get to choose my drink.”
Nappa grinned, and you ordered a Cherry Lane. You found it nice that it had the name as one of the cocktails on Earth.
You felt a little awkward sitting in between Nappa and Raditz, who were very obviously ogling you. You also felt a little bad (but only a little), because you had no intention of giving them the time of day, even if they buy you drinks. At least not until Vegeta turned you down explicitly. But you hadn’t even made your move yet.
Standing a little farther away besides Raditz, you saw him from the corner of your eye.
“Hi, Vegeta.” You singsang, leaning over the counter to fully look at him.
Vegeta seemed a little taken aback by the tone of your voice, and furrowed his eyebrows when you beamed at him.
“Have you considered what I said yesterday? About relaxing?”
“Mind your business, woman.”
“Too bad,” You hummed, pouting. “I would have helped you with that.”
Vegeta was just about to drink from whatever he had ordered when you said that, and it was a priceless moment when you saw him splutter.
Nappa and Raditz had eyes like saucers, shocked at your unashamed attitude. You covered your mouth, trying to stifle the laugh that almost erupted. The comment wasn’t even that straightforward, you are surprised he was that flustered.
“Who do you think you are talking to, woman?!” Vegeta yelled, pink dust adorning his cheeks. “I’m a Prince, show some decorum!”
“Prince?” You asked, confused.
“The Prince of all Saiyans.”
You couldn’t deny you were surprised. The air of superiority around him made sense now.
“Now I get why you are so tense.” You said, smiling. “All the more reason why you should take up my offer.”
Vegeta was practically seething, his entire face red and up to his ears. You had to fight hard not to laugh. You knew he could snap his fingers and you would combust, completely ceasing to exist if he so desired. But if that was how you were going down, at least you got a good laugh.
You noticed Nappa and Raditz had taken a step back, probably bracing themselves in case Vegeta decided you were annoying enough to be killed at that moment.
“Relax,” You spoke up, holding the drink that was put in front of you. “I’m only joking.”
“You are insane, girl.” Vegeta growled, still flushing a little.
You snickered, pleased with yourself.
The fact that you were alive afterwards made you ponder the idea that maybe he wasn’t as indifferent to you as you originally thought.
*
Vegeta should have obliterated you. At least that’s what he thought he should have done.
Something primal had awakened in him. A tingling feeling in the lower abdomen. He hated it. Vegeta loved to think he had every emotion in check, but if he was being honest with himself, he hadn’t felt like that in a long time, and feeling it because of someone who was so brash wasn’t something he wanted. Especially someone who was working under Frieza, just like himself. And even worse, a human.
In the past, if Vegeta had to let out the pent up energy that overwhelmed him, he did it anonymously. In some far off planet, where he wouldn’t even have to say who he was before fucking. If he were to cave this time, he would lose that. It was risky, he didn’t know your intentions. Could you really be as indecent as you presented yourself to be? And why just for him? Two other men were obviously trying to catch your eye, so why him?
New energy was flowing within him; he could feel his blood boil, and his muscles tensed with every minute he spent in the training room. The training room in the spaceship he shared with you. It made his routine both unbearable and convenient, which he thought would actually prove to be useful if he could achieve a new level of power. But sometimes the feeling in his gut distracted him, and his disturbance would show up on his body as a bruise, courtesy of Nappa or Raditz’ attacks. They never managed to actually bruise him until then.
Vegeta clenched and unclenched his fists, cursing under his breath as he left the training room after being in there for hours. His two henchmen must have probably hated him, since he was letting all his frustration out on them. Not that he cared. In any case, they deserved it for being so lecherous every time you were around.
He furrowed at the thought. It did bother him how unrefined they were around you, but their attitude hadn’t bothered him that much before this situation occurred.
With a grunt, Vegeta resolved to keep his training as intense for the rest of the trip.
*
You barely even saw Vegeta the next couple of days. Which you thought was odd, but then again, you weren’t going that much to the bar on the ship as much since they assigned you to monitor the radio for two days.
You still felt his ki in the middle of the ship, sometimes along with Raditz’s or Nappa’s. The man spent most of the day there. You wondered if he had a goal in mind or if he was simply insane. For what you knew, Saiyans were a warrior race; it made sense for him to be obsessed with getting stronger. Even so, he was the only one of the trio to spend so much time in the training room.
When you walked into the bar after a few days, you found Raditz, sitting by himself, and sporting a couple of bruises on his arms and legs.
“You look great,” You commented, sarcastically, sitting across from him and taking a gulp from your glass.
“Aren’t you a sweetheart,” Raditz smiled, as smug as always, but you noticed the tiredness in his expression.
“What happened to you?”
“Vegeta wants to train more than usual.” He said, flatly.
“Why?”
Raditz looked at you, hesitant to reply.
“Something must be bothering him.”
He leaned closer to you after a beat, putting the drink he was holding on the side.
“Maybe you should help me ease this ache.”
You looked at him for a second, letting the words settle in your brain, when you felt something soft and furry running along your thigh. You saw his tail sliding up your leg, and you didn’t get a chance to say anything when a gruff voice spoke behind you.
“Get lost, Raditz.”
Vegeta was standing right behind you when you looked over your shoulder, and you swore you heard him growl, however vague.
The two of them stared at each other for a moment until Raditz sighed loudly before getting up.
“See you later, doll.”
You watched him walk away, and Vegeta was sitting across from you in less than a second.
“I’m surprised you decided to sit with me.” You smiled, leaning into your hand.
He didn’t reply, only offering you a quick glance, before taking a hearty swig from whatever drink he had on his glass, and then crossing his arms over his chest.
“You’re spending too much time in the training room.”
This time, he fixed his eyes on you, brows furrowed.
“Raditz didn’t tell me, I figured it out on my own.”
“Don’t you have anything better to do with your time?”
“Not really, you’re far more interesting than anything else I could be doing.”
Even through the faint neon lights in the room, you noticed the faint pink color on his cheeks.
“Do you have no shame, woman?”
“I didn’t say anything inappropriate. You should loosen up a bit.”
“I do not need to ‘loosen up’, but you seem way too insistent that I do.” Vegeta cocked an eyebrow in your direction.
“You just seem like you have a lot in your mind, that’s all.” You grinned at him, absentmindedly running your fingers through your hair, and pulling it over your shoulder.
“Stop doing that.”
You eyed him, curiously. Vegeta’s eyes were closed, and his brows furrowed deeper than before. He looked at you then, almost wincing.
“What? Why?”
“You are basically letting every male in this ship know that you are available for breeding.”
You stared at him, confused.
“W-what?”
“Your smell. You are spreading it.”
You pondered on what he said for a minute before talking.
“Are you telling me that I’m practically attracting men by simply touching my hair? And that I smell?”
“Every single being has a smell,” Vegeta replied, contemptuous. “You just happen to be a fertile female.”
You were a bit spooked, but it didn’t sound too crazy considering the things you’ve witnessed in the last year. In retrospect, you understood the meaning of Vegeta, Nappa and Raditz’s expression back on the first night you met them. You affected them without even knowing.
You smiled at him, mischievously, and waited until he brought the glass to his lips.
“You’re lucky I’m just coming onto you then.”
Vegeta spluttered, for the second time in front of you, and you snickered. It was funny he emanated such a hostile aggressive aura, but at the same time could be so easily flustered.
“Do you have a death wish, woman?!”
“Maybe. But you haven’t really harmed me.”
He glowered at you, and you returned his stare, though much more softer.
“I’m not asking you to ‘breed’ me or whatever it was that you said.” You leaned in closer, smiling. “This is just for fun.”
Vegeta was practically growling at you. Your instincts were telling you it wasn’t wise for you to rile him up so much. You knew he could kill you. But he didn’t look nearly as angry as he could have been if the situation really pissed him off.
“And I think you want this, too.” You said softly, maintaining eye contact.
“Know your place, woman. I’m not easily swayed by a female, especially a human.”
“But you seem so affected every time I say something remotely suggestive.” You grinned.
“That- that’s because your indecency baffles me! Are all humans that shameless?” He snarled.
You shrugged, taking a swig of your own drink.
“What an odd species…” He muttered, before drinking from his glass.
You huffed, amused.
“We might look similar, but humans are not warriors per se.”
“Obviously.”
“We did spend a lot of our time on Earth fighting each other, though. But we enjoyed ourselves most of the time. The food was a lot better there than it is on any other planet I went to, that’s for sure.”
You smiled at him, taking a final gulp from your glass.
“If you are interested in what else we did ‘for fun’, I’m sure you know how to find me.”
Vegeta’s face remained stoic as you stood, strolling your way out.
Once you were out, you hummed, content that at least you had a somewhat normal conversation, at least as normal as you could expect with Vegeta.
You walked a few feets, until you barely could hear the voices coming from the bar, when you were pushed against the wall.
“Ve-Vegeta?” You gasped, bewildered.
His hand was on your throat, keeping you in place with a strong grip, but not hard enough to choke you. His gaze burned through you, and you suddenly felt very small.
“You don’t look so feisty now.” His voice was low, and his eyes darker than you remembered.
“Well, I… I wasn’t expecting to be attacked like this…” You stuttered, as Vegeta released your neck, placing his arms on either side of you, caging you against the wall.
“Pathetic.” He snorted.
“What do you want?” You glared at him when he insulted you, pursing your lips.
Inching closer to you, Vegeta remained silent.
You certainly weren’t ready to have him so close so suddenly, especially when you haven’t even felt him approaching you before he slammed you against the wall. Anyone could walk by and see you even if the hallway was poorly lit, though you didn’t feel anyone’s ki nearby; not that you trusted yourself much at the moment. But, surprisingly, you didn’t care. Especially when Vegeta was so close; you were positive he could feel that your heart was beating unusually fast.
His cheek brushed your own, as he made his way to the crook of your neck, and you never felt hotter. He runned the tip of his nose up your neck, inhaling deeply and making you shudder. Immediately you felt heat blooming in your lower abdomen, a sensation you haven’t felt in a while. You could feel his breath continuously hitting your skin, and his body so close but barely touching you, and after a beat you started feeling a little awkward, but still very much turned on.
“I thought you weren’t ‘easily swayed by a female’.” You managed to say, gulping.
“Shut up.” He was almost heaving when he replied, but it caught your attention.
Vegeta sounded like he was being restrained, like he was using everything in his willpower to not do something. It occurred to you that maybe he was far more interested in you than he let on.
“Do you want me?” You asked, in the softest voice you could muster.
You felt his body go completely stiff.
“I could kill you.”
Those words sounded like a threat, but something in his voice was telling you otherwise. Yet you couldn’t quite pinpoint what he meant.
“Why haven’t you then?”
He didn’t reply, and you took it as a sign to keep talking, exploring your brain and looking for the right words to say.
“This doesn’t have to mean anything. We would just… be letting out the energy we can’t release otherwise.”
“I am not an animal.”
You snorted, starting to feel a little more on the angry side.
“And yet you are practically panting by just smelling me.”
He pulled away, glaring at you through hooded lids. He was a little flushed down his neck, at least as far as the suit under his armor let you see.
“Are you toying with me, woman?”
“Vegeta,” You whispered, exasperated. “I’m explicitly telling you I want to sleep with you, and you’re being so dense about it.”
“Vu-vulgar woman, how dare you?” The flush on his neck had extended towards his face then, and it amused you. He certainly didn’t look as scandalized as you’d expected.
“I know you must be frustrated about a lot of things, why else would you be practically living in the training room? I am simply offering a way for you to let out any kind of energy you might have, I can see that you want to.”
You smiled at him, looking intensely into his eyes, as his face somehow softened, just a little, by your words.
“And I want the exact same thing.” You purred, with a voice as smooth as you could manage in that moment, so he wouldn’t have a doubt in his mind that you were serious.
No matter how bold you felt when you spoke those words (maybe an effect of the strong space alcohol you had earlier), you still felt very small, pressed in between the wall and Vegeta, as if the spaceship had somehow shrunk, encapsulating you two together.
However, looking into his eyes, you saw something much darker invade them, and you heard Vegeta’s breath hitch in his throat.
One of his hands tangled in your hair, pulling you closer, and he kissed you.
You gasped, taken aback. The way he pressed his lips against yours was rough, like he was starving for a taste of them. After the second it took you to fully understand that Vegeta was, in fact, kissing you, you returned it just as hungrily, resting your hands over his armor.
Tentatively, you flicked your tongue over his lips, moaning into his mouth when he parted his lips immediately, and you shuddered when he started roaming your mouth with his tongue, as if he wanted to devour you whole. Vegeta swiftly wrapped his other arm around your waist, his hand tugging at the shirt underneath your armor, pressing you against his body, at the same time you wrapped your arms around his neck, tangling one of your hands into his hair.
It was as if you were ravenous, eagerly sliding your lips wetly across each other’s. Your skin felt like it was burning when he slid his hand underneath your shirt, and you tugged at his hair, making him groan. You were very aware that he was hard, incredibly so, when he gripped your hip, pressing you flush against his body.
You gasped for air when he pulled back, licking and kissing at your jaw instead.
“Vegeta…” You moaned, breathless.
It took you a moment to realize he had completely stiffen after you whimpered his name, and immediately afterwards you felt cold.
Just like that, he was gone.

[Ref Sheet] Vinea Tehilah
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Height: 165cm / 5'5"
Pronouns: she/her
Bloodline Magic: [Foresight] Has the ability to look into the past, present and future. How much she can see scales with how often she uses the sight. Seeing more than what she can handle can lead to severe migraines or even loss of consciousness. She's step 1 into "ascension", hence the slit in her crystal eye.
Desc: A cupcake obsessed lady who is laid back and cheery. She prefers to keep a positive attitude while keeping her strictness, but even then, this mentality only developed at some point of her life. She mainly wears her veil around students and only takes it off around her family or her colleagues, so there can tend to be harmless gossip about what her face looks like among students. Some teachers even feed the gossips.
Likes:
- Baking and eating cupcakes - Tea (drinking tea and gossips) - Collecting whips
Dislikes:
- Overly up-tight people (which is ironic especially since she doesn't mind Kalego) - Smoke - Even the slightest mention of her past. She'll die of cringe
She mainly teaches ancient history and astrology to year 4, 5 and 6 students (yun's note: if internships exist in Babyls, which is highly likely, I'll be changing this accordingly) and on rare occasions, she subs in for torture classes. Students who know her address her as "cupcake sensei", and there's a tradition among them to watch any demon who makes use of her kindness to start slacking off of school work suffer under her hand. She is also in a polycule, but not disclosed to most, so some students think that she's the harem queen among staff members.

I did a lot of sewing in 2023, and spent more time on my sewing projects than on any of my other hobbies, even though I ended up with relatively few finished products. I drafted patterns, fitted mock-ups, and worked with specialty fabrics, several of them new to me. I'm pleased with how all of them came out, and feel like I improved my skills in both sewing and drafting. And most importantly, I had a ton of fun wearing each one of these projects!
The majority of the year was spent on my Rhaenyra Targaryen cosplay, starting last January with drafting a pattern from my measurements, sewing a mock-up, fitting the mock-up to achieve a more screen-accurate look, and adjusting the pattern accordingly. I worked with silk for the very first time, black silk organza for the underdress and red silk jacquard (woven by a small maker in India) for the main dress. I dyed lacing cords to match, hand-sewed several yards of trim, set a couple dozen grommets by hand, sewed on several different types of beads, and did a lot of handsewing to complete the whole thing. I worked on it continuously for just over seven months, in between work and alongside other sewing projects in the last month or so.
The other major sewing project last summer was the sequin shorts for my Harley Quinn/Taylor Swift mashup cosplay. I based them on the sequin shorts in the first Suicide Squad movie, but made them red and black to match both Harley's more typical color scheme and Taylor Swift's Red color scheme. I drafted a pattern by altering a swimsuit pattern I drafted in 2020, and made a lining out of swimsuit fabric to check the fit, then cut out the exterior sequin fabric. I'd worked with sequin fabric before, but never one with sequins attached in one continuous chain of stitches, which took a little while to figure out how to best handle to keep from unraveling when cut. I ended up handsewing extra sequins onto places of the shorts where the sequins had fallen off.
I purchased the Taylor Swift tshirt but added quite a lot of hand-sewn details, to make it look more like the Suicide Squad tshirt. In July and August I also finished a bunch of other small cosplay crafting items, everything from wig styling and jewelry making, to gluing rhinestones to a pair of bunny ears, repairing the beading on a purchased dress, and adding a hidden pocket to a purchased skirt, all in preparation for Dragon Con at the end of August.
After Dragon Con I needed a couple of months to recover, and while I did start (but not yet finish) a simple knitting project, I didn't do any sewing or pattern drafting again until late November. At that point I knew I wanted to make a cozy stay-at-home winter dress and get it finished just as soon as possible, so I could start wearing it as the weather turned colder.
I drafted a new dress pattern based on the pattern I drafted for Rhaenyra's dress, and a pair of funky wide legged pants from a pajama pant pattern I'd drafted in 2022. The whole project, from drafting the pattern and ordering a sample of the heavy fleece fabric I wanted to use, to the final hand stitching on the hem, took just under a month -- much faster than the Rhaenyra project, with much less fussy fabric and far fewer details. Now that I've gotten to wear it around the house over the last week and a half, there are a few small changes I may make to it in the future, but generally I'm very happy with it.
Currently I actually have two other sewing projects in process, too: hand-sewing/quilting the print from an old tshirt onto the back of a hoodie for Jack (slow going but getting close to done), and a surprise birthday gift for a family member. I'll post pictures of each once they're done, but probably won't post about the surprise project until the gift has been given.
After that, I have plans to start making some layering pieces to put over (and under) the fleece dress. I have some scrap fabric from older projects I'd like to turn into wearable things, and that bolt of cotton herringbone fabric I got a good deal on on Ebay arrived the other day, and needs to be washed and ironed and such before I start figuring out what I want to do with it.
I'm hoping to continue my streak of 2023 sewing into 2024, with that focus on more practical, everyday wearable items, rather than on cosplay. I don't know yet if I'm going to have any cosplay events to attend this year, and even if I do, I'd be quite happy bringing older projects, including those I finished in 2023, out to play again. As much as I love making those big show pieces for conventions, and pushing myself with new-to-me fabric types like silk and sequins, I'll get a lot more use out of everyday pieces, and feel better about my day to day wardrobe at the same time.
Thank you to everyone who liked and commented on my sewing posts throughout the year! I mostly post about my projects here as a way to document them for myself, but it's always so wonderful to hear that other people like my work, too. I hope 2024 treats all of us well, and to any of you out there with sewing projects you're working on, may your thread stay untangled and your scissors sharp!
