NOW INTRODUCING.... THE CRITTERS !!!

Technically Corvid is still a part of an au, i really like everyone's designs so i guess its just like a weird little au that are also kinda ocs?? Idk. Im still tagging it as the animatronicfication au and using the other ccs names but im completely separating wilbur from Corvid.

The one that probably changed the most is simp LMAO i just went back to his old design that was inspired by Luna (@starrixle's transfem simpbur turned oc) and Spencer is such a fitting name in my mind i literally can not imagine him with a different name *bwomp*

Also I'm working on refs for the other characters associated with the respective critters! I wanna finish them all and dump them into one post and I'll link it here when I'm done.

ANYWAY INFODUMP TIME

Before we go into individual characters i want to say that this is absolutely Minecraft. Like. The world is built off of Minecraft lore yk !!!! The overworld will still be called the overworld but it's basically just earth, with more magic and humanoid species! Along with supernatural creatures and cryptids n stuff :D also with more advanced tech considering Corvid exists pFF

Spencer for the most part kinda was like he is in canon or whatever. She used to lean more towards incel ideology because she was REALLY insecure and uncomfortable with herself for the longest time. Despite that, Spencer and Adrianne (egirl) started dating when they were 17, his unhealthy obsession with her was only fueled by her unhealthy attachment to him. They needed each other and it wasn't good for either of them. Spencer had developed horrible separation anxiety which only made things worse. Over time Adrianne became suffocated by his constant neediness, overwhelming insecurity, short temper and lack of contribution to household chores. It pained her to leave, but things needed to change. It wasn't until the breakup that Spencer met Shepard, who was his first irl friend in a long time. They met when they were around 22/23, at first Spencer just used Shepard as a distraction from Adrianne, especially since he was surprised that they wanted to even be his friend in the first place. But after a while he genuinely started to enjoy their company, plus they offered him really good advice and helped him through a gender/sexuality crisis. Eventually they became partners! Maybe not romantically, as they're both aromantic, but life partners nonetheless.

OH and i did make Spencer white/Salvadoran. Her mom is the first generation from immigrant parents while her dad is British; And her dad's younger brother is Adam's dad! He's also an ex-christian, he left due to religious trauma and moved to America to escape his family hA

Spencer's also a no sabo kid LMAO (he knows some words/phrases but other than that he cant speak Spanish to save his life)

ALSO ALSO. Oh my god i could talk about Spence all day LMAO but i made him a werewolf !!!! Hes SOO jealous of Adam because she wanted the cat genes but instead got bitten and turned into a werewolf as a teenager. She's done a pretty good job at hiding it from her family so Shepard's the only one who knows.

I already dumped everything about Adam into that other post, so I don't really have much else to add. HOWEVER !! Him and Spence are cousins now :3 Adam doesn't get to meet Spencer in person until he moves to America with Charlie & co, but he does follow her socials with his secret accounts that his parents don't know about. The only reason they know they're cousins is because Spencer's dad told her so and she reached out! Much to the dismay of Adam's parents but they've secretly kept in touch online.

Keith's pretty much stayed the same apart from a slight design revamp. Although I've made him a little older since originally i made him look young. But then I decided hes a dad so i started drawing him older for the asks pFF he also has a hooked nose now! In case it's not obvious. Keith got married to Jean VERY young, they were maybe 17/18 in human years. It was an arranged marriage and their only goal was to have an heir to the throne. Well they did, they had two kids, the eldest being a boy named Lune and the youngest being a girl named Sunny, who's the would be heir. Until Jean took both the kids and left. It was completely unprompted and left everyone in the kingdom confused, especially Keith. Sure, they had a loveless marriage and maybe he was insufferable at times, but he wanted to make it work if not for the kids then for the kingdom! But its been almost a year since she left, he's lost hope in ever finding her. Keith desperately wants his kids back, not because Sunny is the rightful heir— though that is part of it—but he loves them both dearly. He misses them the most.

Wilfred has pretty much stayed the same as well! I did give him a grey tshirt and darker hair to further distance his design from wilbur though. Hes just as unhinged and immoral as he used to be !!!! Nothing has changed aside from appearance actually.

Tobi also pretty much stayed the same except for its now got an orange jumper and lighter brown hair pFF although i do now have a story for him! Tobi was found by Alejandro in a storage auction, he managed to sell a lot of pretty valuable things from there but Tobi stood out, obviously, so he kept it. Alejandro is a travel vlogger and lives in an RV with his friends: Tomas, Philip and Charles. His friends just call him Alex. Anyway, they go from town to town trying local food, visiting tourists traps and vlogging the journey! While doing that they also try to find out how to get Tobi's memories back and possibly turn him human again, if they even can. So far they haven't had much luck but maybe one day...

Corvid was created as the backup singer and lead guitarist of the first all animatronic band! Brought to you by Beloved Entertainment! The other members include lead singer Ranboo Beloved, keytarist Tommy Raccoon, and bassist James Tomcat. Located in Ranboo's Mega Pizzaplex, the only location in the world (so far). Corvid adopts a showman personality while on stage, hes charismatic and such a heartthrob, very popular with the ladies. Off stage he's very calm and soft spoken, he's rather shy but still manages to be a flirt and a tease. Lightly poking fun at his bandmates, coworkers and even guests at times. He's definitely a fan favorite for a reason!

Meeting their child in the future except you're afraid/hateful of children Or you don't wanna have children in general lmao

I just had this idea bc I've read those "When twst boys meet their children from the future" except I'm trying to insert myself but I'm the kind of person who would not like to puke children, I'd be shocked as hell when I meet my future children knowing damn well I hate them. Basically, me inserting how I'd react in a way that it's so angsty LMAOOO

Shoes quietly walk towards the door of the VIP room in Mostro Lounge. That was where you'd usually meet them. A surprise was what you were about to give them, however, a surprise is also awaiting you.

Floyd's route

Once you enter the room, you were met with an Azul who is slowly going insane, a smiling Jade by his side, and two people running around, more like Floyd and a kid.

"Oh, they're here." Azul slams his head on the table, great. Jade just calmly smiles at you, waiting for things to unfold. The two stop running and look at you with a huge grin.

"AAAHHH!!!" The child lounges at you with a big smile that you think it will rip apart his face. It was about to hug you, but you quickly avoided it. However, the kid was persistent and kept chasing you to hug you. "----- Are we playing tag?" The kid giggles, as well as Floyd who is watching the both of you.

Your face was scrunched up into... disgust? Like you were seeing someone being murdered in front of you.

"Who is this kid? Why is he calling me like that?" You turn to Floyd first, then the two who are watching. You were jolted backward when something latched onto you. "I caught you ----!" The kid was playful.

"What the hell kid, get off me." You state coldly as you pushed the kid off of you without a second thought. The kid moves back, completely off guard by what you've done. The kid was quite shaken, moving back with his hands to his chest while he looks at you with teary eyes and trembling lips.

"Shrimpy, that's not nice!" You look at Floyd who was approaching you and the kid. "Why? Is that your cousin?" You look back at notice the boy's features. He had Floyd's hair color though something else doesn't add up... You squint your eyes, but nothing clicks.

Just what is the meaning of this? Floyd picks up the kid and walks to you. "This is Alex!" "Oh, ok- "Our child"

"What, Floyd, have you gone insane?" You laugh. It started as a normal laugh until it died down into a concerned one. "What do you mean..." You narrow your eyes at him and the kid.

"Well, this happened at Alchemy class, we made a portal, then this dude came out of it. Prof said he'll be gone naturally, cuz he doesn't exist in this timeline."

"So he's from the future..."

"Yup"

"Okay, as long as that kid stays away from me, I'm fine with it." "But you're the other parent!" "Then I don't wanna take responsibility for it." You cross your arms.

Floyd stares at you, then looks at Alex, who he's carrying.

"Do you wanna go to -----?" He smiles. "Yes please, papa!" The two looks at you with a smile. Except Floyd has ill intent and the kid is pure joy.

"Oh no. Oh NO, YOU DON'T." You quickly move back, to behind one of the couches. You hold the armrest of the sofa. Floyd and the kid are on the opposite side.

Azul and Jade look at you with interest. "Oh? What is this, not willing to hold your child?" Azul asks with a smirk. "AZUL SHUT UP RIGHT NOW." You stare at the kid, concentrating on getting out of here without the kid.

"Shrimpy, this could be much easier if you take Alex." "HEEL NAH." Without warning, Floyd lounges to chase you, but your senses warned you of impending danger, so you move away to the other side of the sofa, but Floyd quickly changed directions. Now he was gaining on you.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" "NOT UNTIL YOU TAKE ALEX, SHRIMPY." "AAAAAAAAHHH" You didn't know what was scarier, Floyd chasing you or a child about to hog all your time.

"BANANA 😭😭😭😭" Out of desperation you just said some random words.

It was until you tripped, that both of them stopped running. "Hehehe" Floyd places Alex on top of you.

Everybody seemed to stare at you with weirded-out faces, no, not because of the child you're holding and an eel following you. It was because of the unusual scowl on your face that you rarely had. Ace and Deuce who went passed you didn't even say anything. Not Ace who usually would say something teasing about this exact scenario. But nothing. Nobody would really save you now, huh.

It was lucky how it was free time. So you went outside to get some fresh air. You sit down on a bench, ignoring the two.

"-----, I want a hug!" The kid opened his arms towards you and leaned in closer.

"No." As the kid leans in, you move away. But the kid doesn't seem to listen to you and hugs you by your shoulder.

"I SAID NO!" You harshly push him to Floyd who was sitting next to the kid. The kid tumbles back to Floyd, who grabbed him just in time.

You were clearly annoyed at this bratty child. While the child was clearly hurt, seeing how he wanted a hug from his parent.

"Oh, stop whining! I never asked for hugs when I was a child!" That was it. That's how Floyd knew. That was why you hated children in the first place. It was because you were never a child in the first place.

The kid started sniffling and covers his face. Floyd picked up the kid and shushed him, it was a... rare sight to see this.

Until the kid wandered off somewhere, running away.

"He'll be fine," Floyd said and looks at you. But you only rolled your eyes. "So, care to explain what ya did?"

"What?"

"C'mon Shrimpy, is that why you never liked it when I hug you?" He teasingly smiled at you.

"..."

"Well, I dunno what happened to ya, but even I wouldn't do that" He laughs, leaning on the bench.

"Well, the kid was being noisy, I don't like it." You lean on the bench too.

"Were you close with your parents, shrimpy?" He suddenly asks.

"Well, no- but-"

"Oh, so that's why."

"Hah?!"

"The kid, ya threw him when he was asking for a hug." He looks at you, side-eyed.

"..." You couldn't say anything. You just realized that. All of the things that you did, were a reflection of how your parents treated you.

You put your knees near your chest and cover your face, muffling your voice. "What have I done."

You've been such a jerk to a kid who wanted affection from their parent. Then you remember why you didn't want kids. It was because you thought; that you might pass down the lack of love and affection.

"I've been a jerk."

"Yah, you kinda did."

"Well thanks anyways."

"What happened between you and ya parents anyways?"

"Well... Whenever I wanted affection from my parents, they'd always push me aside, if I wanted a hug, they'd tell me it was too hot. If I kept doing it again and again, they'd say that I was too old for hugs." You've realized how much you lacked it. A family's affection.

"This wasn-" Floyd hugs you from the side, but you didn't hear him move towards you. "This is what you needed the most."

Floyd's hugs were usually tight, but this one... this one was comfort. The comfort you needed as a child. Reassurance.

Floyd heard soft sniffles from you, but nevertheless, he never stopped.

"Let's go... find that kid." You perk up and gave him a closed-eyed smile, with tears on the side of your face.

"Babe, why is William in timeout?"

Tanya huffs out a laugh as she makes her way to Mike over at the door, greeting him with a kiss to his mouth and taking the grocery bags out of his hands. "That's Lila, honey," she says, moving aside so he can step inside the apartment and shut the door behind him.

"Ah. That makes more sense," he says, turning his gaze to the girl currently pouting in the corner of the kitchen. "Hi, sweetheart. What have you done this time?"

Lila turns to him, her arms crossed over her chest and her cheeks puffed out adorably. One leg is crossed over the other, giving her the air of an offended little lady, and Mike has to bite back a laugh. Her and William are both so cute—equally so, of course, given the fact they share a body, but they both have their own unique little quirks in the way they carry themselves that are absolutely precious in their own little ways.

"You can tell him if you want to, honey," Tanya says, putting away the groceries Mike had brought home. "I won't add time to your timeout."

Lila huffs, pout increasing somehow. "Mama's being unfair," she says, shooting a withering glare in Tanya's direction. "It was an accident."

"Ohohoho, no it was not," Tanya says, shaking her head with a click of her tongue. "You wanna actually tell him what you did?"

Lila glares at her for another moment, before turning back to the wall. Mike actually laughs at that, taking a few steps further to stroke her hair lightly.

"Well, now I'm curious," he says. "What'd you do to earn the timeout chair?"

Lila huffs, hunching in on herself a little. "You're on her side," she accuses, her cheeks reddening.

"Well, honey, I can't be on your side if I don't know what you did," he says, shaking his head slightly.

Lila stays silent, her eyes fixed on the ground. She almost looks embarrassed, an expression that's very rare for her. Mike ruffles her hair, before moving his hand to squeeze her shoulder lightly.

"I guess she doesn't want to tell me," Mike says, shaking his head. "What'd she do, Mama Bird?"

Tanya turns to him, her eyes alight with amusement and irritation. "Well, she almost burnt the fucking house down," she says, shooting a half-smile in Lila's direction.

Mike's eyebrows raise. "Oh? How the fuck did she do that?" he asks, absentmindedly rubbing circles against Lila's shoulder with his fingertips.

"Put a fork in the microwave," Tanya says, shaking her head. "She's very lucky I caught it before it started sparking."

"It was—it was an accident!" Lila protests suddenly. She looks up at Mike with pleading eyes, leaning against him all cutely in that way she does when she wants something. "This isn't fair!"

Mike hums, turning his eyes toward Tanya. "If she just left her fork in her food, I don't think it's fair to—”

Tanya shoots him a pointed look. "It was just a fork in there," she says, turning her eyes to Lila and adding, "and I'd just told her about how putting metal in the microwave is dangerous."

"Oh. Hmm." Mike looks back down at Lila, giving her shoulder a light pat. "Yeah, I don't think I can defend you, sweetheart."

"Not fair," Lila mumbles, kicking at the air helplessly. "It was—I just wanted to see what happened."

"I told you what happens," Tanya says, pulling out a pot from the drawer. "There was no reason to try it out, my sweet girl.”

“What if I didn’t believe you?” Lila protests, looking up at Mike pleadingly again, as though he’ll somehow be able to help her.

“Well, then we have a bigger problem then,” Tanya says, shaking her head. She turns around then, holding the pot out in front of her and turning her attention toward Mike. “How do we feel about spaghetti for dinner?”

“I brought the meatballs,” he says, shrugging lightly and moving his hand to rub Lila’s back soothingly. “I say go for it.”

“Dada—” Lila starts pitifully, presumably to plead for help or mercy.

Before she can finish, or Mike can say anything, however, Tanya interrupts. “Ah ah ah. No talking rule is back in effect.” She looks over at her, her eyes softening sympathetically. “Only a minute left, little one.”

Lila whines, her eyes dropping to her feet. Mike smiles at her, also sympathetically, and he presses a kiss to the top of her head.

“Sounds like you’ll be free soon,” he says, giving her a light pat. “Hang in there, sweetheart.”

Lila huffs, kicking her feet frantically. Mike steps away from her, then, making his way over to Tanya’s side, watching her as she puts a pot of water on.

“Once you get that on, can we talk for a minute in the other room? Real quick before little one gets free?” he asks lowly. Then, not wanting to worry her, he adds, “Nothing bad, just…caregiver stuff.”

Tanya nods, a slight look of relief falling across her face, before flicking the stove on and taking a step back. “Lila, we’ll be back soon, okay?” she calls in her direction. “We’re just gonna be in the other room for a minute, we’re not leaving, sweet pea.”

Lila turns to look at them, her eyes round and brow furrowed. She opens her mouth as if to speak, but then realizing she can’t, she huffs, turning back to the wall.

Mike snorts softly at the sight, shaking his head slightly and leading Tanya out to the living room. He looks through the doorway, and once he’s certain Lila’s not trying to snoop, he turns back to Tanya with a curious expression.

“How long you put her in for?”

Tanya shrugs. “Just ten minutes,” she says, running her fingers loosely through her hair. “She got it bumped up to thirteen, though, as she usually does.”

Mike hums, nodding thoughtfully. “Kind of a short time for almost burning the house down,” he remarks with mild amusement.

Tanya laughs quietly, shrugging a little. “Yeah, maybe…I don’t know,” she says, letting out a soft sigh. “I think she was just acting out for attention rather than trying to get on my nerves like she usually does. I mean, I was kind of distracted today…I feel bad about it, so I didn’t want to punish her too harshly.”

“Hmm, alright…it does sound like she didn’t add as much time as she usually does, huh?”

Tanya snorts. “Yeah, I think she’s feeling neglected, poor girl.”

Mike coos sympathetically, shaking his head slightly in the direction of the kitchen. “Yeah…poor girl.” He tilts his head then, regarding Tanya with a soft gaze. “What about you? You said you were distracted, are you alright?”

“Oh, yeah, I’m just…” Tanya frowns, waving her hand lightly. “Looking for a job has been…stressful. But it’s not anything more than that.”

Mike nods and reaches out, wrapping his arm around her and giving her a comforting squeeze. “Alright, I get that,” he says gently, rubbing her arm soothingly. “Hey, you’re gonna be okay. It’ll happen eventually.”

“Yeah…I just…I feel bad that you and Will are the ones supporting us, especially with the baby expenses, and—”

Suddenly, Tanya’s phone goes off, the sound ringing out through the apartment. She blinks in surprise, and she fishes her phone out of her pocket, turning it off quickly.

“Oh. Lila’s free,” she says, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips.

Mike smiles as well, despite his lingering concern. “You think she heard it?”

In answer to his question, they’re suddenly greeted with a shout, and the sound of little feet rushing in their direction. They turn to see Lila pausing just in the doorway, her eyes wide and round.

“Mama? Can I…” she starts, rocking back and forth on her heels.

Tanya chuckles softly, giving Mike a squeeze before pulling away from him to go to her. “Yes, baby, you’re out of timeout,” she says affectionately, reaching up to cradle her face. “Is the water boiling, honey?”

“Ummm…” Lila tilts her head, or at least, as best she can while still pressing her face into Tanya’s palms, anyway. “Yeah, I think so.”

“Okay. I’m gonna go continue making dinner,” Tanya says, squishing her cheeks gently and earning a squawk of indignation in return. She chuckles, kissing her forehead gently and asking, “You wanna hang out with Mike while I do that?”

Lila looks at Mike over her shoulder, her brow furrowed and lips drooping. “Um…okay,” she says, her voice sounding hollow.

Tanya frowns, regarding her with concern. “What’s wrong, sweetie?”

“I mean…Mike usually makes dinner,” she says, huffing lightly. “And ‘m not allowed in the kitchen when you guys cook.”

“Ohhh…” Tanya says, shooting a frown in Mike’s direction. “You wanna be with me?”

Lila shrugs, and then, hesitantly, she nods. She’s very pointedly avoiding looking at both of them—the embarrassed look is back on her face, too. “Somethin’ like that,” she mumbles.

“I can take over dinner if she wants to be with her mama,” Mike says, shrugging a little.

Lila’s face turns even redder, a pout coming across her face. “You’re making it sound so—I just have somethin’ I need to say to her, okay?”

"Awww, baby, it's okay if you wanna be with me sometimes," Tanya coos, thumbs rubbing lightly at her cheeks. "There's nothing wrong with needing that."

Lila huffs, squirming out of her palms and crossing her arms over her chest. "It's not like—" she starts, before her eyes dart from the floor to Tanya's face. She flushes harder, somehow, her whole face pink, and suddenly races away from Tanya to throw herself onto the couch, curling into herself against one of the arms, making herself small in that way William usually does.

Tanya's eyebrows raise at the sight, and she turns to Mike, shooting him a look that's equal parts amused and concerned. He shoots her a matching look in return, pointing toward the kitchen.

"I'll go take care of the boiling water now," he says, voice wavering somewhere between light and uncertain.

"Sounds good to me," Tanya says, lips twitching slightly. They settle on a smile as she passes Mike on her way to the couch, however, and she keeps her expression soft as she settles down on the cushions next to the now pouting little girl she calls her own, carefully reaching out to stroke her arm. "Hey, sweetie. You doing okay?"

Lila mumbles something unintelligible into the arm of the couch, her face smushed up against the fabric. Once again, Tanya can't help but think of it as a very William move—she can't help but wonder how many traits they have in common that she's just never seen because Lila tends to be less openly vulnerable around them.

"I didn't catch that, little girl. Can you repeat yourself?"

Lila huffs once again, sounding entirely put upon. She looks up at Tanya, her face still smudged with a pink blush, her eyes oddly sad, and murmurs, "I'm sorry I'm such a bad girl, Mama."

The concern already bubbling up in Tanya's stomach suddenly spills over in the form of a coo falling from her lips, a frown falling over her face. "Oh, Lila, honey...come here..."

When it comes to William and Lila, bad isn't nearly as strong a word as naughty—naughty, for both of them, is a sign they're in a very, very bad headspace, naughty means that something has set them off in a very real way, naughty means that they're thinking about their respective mothers again, and that's never a good thing—but it still isn't good to hear, either. Especially not from Lila, who most of the time, refuses to acknowledge that the thing she's done wrong is, in fact, wrong.

Tanya's worries are only further confirmed when Lila crawls all the way into her lap, wrapping her arms around her neck and clinging to her tightly, like she's terrified of being let go of. Sure, Lila's become a lot more comfortable with being touched or physically coddled as of late, even going so far as to enjoy it (which she had admitted to them one afternoon in a very roundabout way), but she's still not much of a cuddler, and she definitely doesn't cling like this unless she's in a mood. Not necessarily in a bad mood, sure, but, well...right now...

"You're not a bad girl, honey," Tanya murmurs, wrapping her arms around her tightly and kissing her on the top of her head. "I mean, sure, you do bad things sometimes, but we all do. I mean, I've fu—messed up things more often than I can count, especially with William and Dada. That doesn't make me a bad person, does it?"

Even as she says it, Tanya has to choke back the uncertainty rising in her throat. She's gotten better about not thinking of herself as the certified worst person in the whole entire fucking world, but god, it's hard not to fall back to hold habits sometimes.

Apparently, Lila knows that too. "But you still feel like a bad person sometimes," she mumbles into her collarbone, clinging a little tighter. "S’okay. I do too s’metimes. 'm sorry. Sorry I do bad things."

Tanya swallows thickly, unsure of what to make of all this. "It's okay, sweetheart. I forgive you," she murmurs. "What brought this on, little one...?"

Lila's quiet for a moment, playing with the fabric of her shirt. "You seemed mad at me today."

"Mad at you...?"

"Mhmm." Lila sniffles, and Tanya's heart breaks as she realizes she's holding back tears. "You didn'...didn' really look at me, or wanna play with me, an'—an' then when you were makin' your tea you told me 'bout the spoon, an'—an' I dunno, I was stupid, an' I wan'ed you t' look at me, 'nd you got mad at me—"

"Oh, honey, I only got upset cuz you were doing something dangerous, I wasn't upset with you before that, promise," Tanya soothes, running her hand up and down her spine lightly. "I...I was a bit distracted today, and I wasn't paying as much attention to you as I should have, and I'm sorry. Did it feel like I was ignoring you? Is that why you thought I was mad?"

Lila whines a little, nodding against her shoulder. Tanya hums comfortingly, pressing a kiss to her temple.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't mad, and I wasn't ignoring you. I was just spacey today. It had nothing to do with you, I promise I would never ignore you on purpose, okay?"

"...mmkay," Lila mumbles, and to Tanya's relief, she sounds less upset than she did before. She does, however, sound a bit embarrassed.

"My little girl. It's okay. You can want attention from me, there's nothing wrong with that."

Lila makes a grumpy noise in response (and oh, Tanya can't even pretend not to chuckle at that, it's just too adorable), lifting her face from Tanya's shoulder. Her flush has gone down a bit, but she is still visibly pink, which is just unbearably precious.

"Hi, sweetie," Tanya says, reaching up to stroke her hair lightly. "How're you feelin'?"

"...better," Lila mumbles, her eyes darting downward, one of her hands reaching up to play with the necklace Tanya's wearing. "I'm glad—glad you weren't mad at me. At least 'til I tried to burn the place down."

"Yeahhh, never do that again, little love," Tanya says with a laugh, still carding her hands absently through her hair. "I wasn't kidding about it burning down the place."

A tiny smile appears on Lila's face at that. "But I still wanna see that!"

"Oh, do not even think about it, little missy," Tanya scolds, but her tone is still more light than actually angry. "We look up videos of microwaves catching fire on Youtube if you want, but don't you dare even think about trying it at home or you'll be getting more than a ten minute time out."

"How much more?" Lila asks, her voice lightly curious. "An hour?"

"Lila," Tanya says, fond and exasperated.

"...two hours?" Lila prods, finally lifting her eyes. As soon as she meets Tanya's dryly amused gaze, she bursts into giggles, bonking their foreheads together. "Three hours!"

"It'll be more like forever, Lila," Tanya says with a huff of a laugh, rolling her eyes fondly. "I don't think we can afford a place other than this. Or to replace all our stuff."

"Mm...William would be mad if I destroyed his toys 'nyway," Lila agrees, rolling off of Tanya's lap to settle at her side instead, still cuddled up close with her head resting against her shoulder and one of Tanya's arms still wrapped around her. "Fine, I won't burn the house down."

"Thank you baby," Tanya says with a chuckle, rubbing her arm lightly. "That's what every Mama wants to hear from her little girl."

Lila giggles at that, nuzzling further into her shoulder. Then, she falls quiet for a long moment, aside from humming contentedly as Tanya strokes her hair. Tanya almost thinks she's gone nonverbal, before Lila suddenly speaks up again, her voice going soft.

"What were you distracted by, Mama?"

"Oh," Tanya says, swallowing back a wave of anxiety suddenly rising up in her. "It's just...adult stuff, honey. I don't want you to worry about it while you're small, okay?"

Lila looks up at her with a scrutinizing stare, as though Tanya's a puzzle she's trying to figure out. "Mmkay...if you say so..."

Tanya smiles at her comfortingly, rubbing her arm lightly. "If you're still worried about it later, we can talk about it when you're big, if you want. But right now you're just a baby, so don't worry about it, okay?"

"I'm not a baby. I'm not William," Lila says, a very adorable pout coming over her face. "But...okay...if you're sure..."

Tanya's smile widens a little, and she chuckles softly. "Are you worried about your mama, Lila?"

Lila flushes, her nose scrunching up a little and her cheeks once again turning pink. "I just don't want you to ignore me again," she mumbles, turning her face away so Tanya can't see her.

"Aww, honey..." Tanya reaches over with her other arm, wrapping it around Lila and giving her a tight squeeze. She presses a kiss to the back of her head, smiling a little at the lightly pleased huff she receives for it. "I can't promise I won't get spacey again, but I promise I'm gonna try to do better, okay? And sweetheart, if it does start to feel like I'm ignoring you again, it's okay to ask me for attention. In fact, please please please tell me if you feel ignored, and I'll make sure to give you the attention you need. I love you to death and I don't want you to feel unloved. Okay?"

"Mmph...okay. Okay, Mama, I will," Lila mumbles, squirming a little in Tanya's embrace. "Thank you. 'n...'nIloveyoutoo. Now get off me."

Tanya chuckles, pressing one last kiss to her curls before drawing back, finally freeing Lila from her lovingly crushing embrace. Lila straightens up as well, lingering close but no longer trying to squish up against her side like she was before, and that combined with the fact she doesn't seem actually seem very irritated about being snuggled makes Tanya figure that she probably was just starting to get a little overstimulated by all the touch. Probably best to give her a bit of a cool down on it—she'll have to let Mike know when they go in for dinner.

"Hey, girls, spaghetti's ready!"

In speaking of the man himself. Tanya smiles, turning to Lila and gesturing back toward the kitchen. "You ready to eat, baby?"

Lila turns in that direction, staring at the doorway with a scrutinizing expression. "Yeah," she says, surprisingly casually for what an intense look she was giving the kitchen, and hops up to her feet. She lingers, however, watching as Tanya gets to her feet, tilting her head a little once she's standing. "Um. Mama?"

Tanya looks at her, another wave of concern washing over her. "Yeah honey?"

Lila looks at her for a moment, rocking back and forth on her heels. "...after dinner, can we watch microwaves explode on Youtube?"

Well, that's not what Tanya had been expecting. She can't help but laugh a little, shaking her head in amusement. "Yeah, honey, of course we can. Just me and you, or do you want Dada there too?"

Lila shrugs noncommittally, her eyes already lighting up in excitement with the yes she's been given. "He can watch too. I don' care, 'long as you're there." She then grins broadly, before turning on her heels and sprinting toward the kitchen, where Tanya can hear her calling, "Dada! Guess what me and Mama are gonna watch!"

Tanya can't stop the fond smile that spreads across her lips at that. She follows after Lila, readying herself to explain to Mike why they're about to spend their evening on Youtube watching cutlery spark and set fire to appliances, and knowing damn well she wouldn't want it any other way.

you leave the room with a heavy weight sitting on your heart that is only amplified by the serious look on kenma’s face. you ignore it in favor of turning on the tv and going to disney+, queuing up the original mulan knowing how into the story hinata would get. still refusing to face your friend, you move to the kitchen digging around the cabinets to find snacks.

“yn,” the sound of your name jolts you out of your focus even though you were expecting it. “can we please talk?”

it feels like the air has been sucked out of the room, the only thing remaining being a heavy blanket of tension draping over the two of you. when you chance a look at kenma, you’re taken aback by the unreadable look on his face--it's overwhelming and you have to take a step back.

you turn away from him, unable to look for long without your mind racing and heart clenching with unknown guilt. a hand gently touches your shoulder, the feeling sending a shock of discomfort down your spine.

"we need to talk about kuroo," kenma starts, his golden eyes desperately searching for your own but you refuse to make eye contact, too afraid of what his expression might hold. when you don't move to face him, kenma sighs and moves somewhere behind you. the sound of a barstool scraping against the tiled floors alerts you that he's probably sitting down which signals a long and emotion-packed conversation.

"he texted me today." the relatively innocent statement is weighed down by the many implications behind it. your mind begins to race--what could that even mean? did he talk about you? your childhood? what he had done to you and more importantly, why? "what did you guys talk about?" the question is out of your mouth before you can stop it, desperation creeping into the edges of your voice.

you finally, finally, shift to face him, mentally steeling yourself for the upbringing of things you'd much rather forget.

"he's playing with you yn. you know it, i know it, he knows it. you need to separate yourself from him," kenma says, his voice monotone and soft. "i-i love you, you know that right?" you nod but remain tight-lipped, allowing your best friend to finish his piece.

"i know you think he's changed but some people never do. i just- i wouldn't be able to live with myself if i didn't say anything and let him hurt you like before." he lets out a deep breath and runs his hands through his almost entirely brown hair. something glints under the soft kitchen lights and you recognize it as the bracelet you'd bought him back in your first year of high school. you smile to yourself, not noticing the look of admiration in his eyes and the soft smile gracing his lips.

the sound of a door opening startles the both of you from your silent reverie, your eyes trailing to the hallway where hinata stands bundled up in four blankets and looking absolutely miserable. "oh shō," you whisper, his puffy eyes already welling up with tears.

kenma moves faster than you, kindly (well as kind as kenma can be) moving the hinata burrito to the couch with you following closely behind. you plop yourself down right next to the redhead, his body coming to rest in your lap. you can't help but lean down and press a kiss to his forehead, running your fingers through his orange locks.

"w-what were y-you guys talking a-about?" shōyō asks, his voice watery and thick with tears. you shake your head at his question, not wanting to bog him down with depressing tales about one of his friends. "nothing baby, nothing. how are you feeling? do you need anything? water, snacks?" your fingers never leave his head, even when he turns to look at you frustratedly, his cheeks puffing in annoyance.

"i want you to tell me what you guys were talking about," he orders, fumbling his body burrito until he's sitting upright between you and kenma. "i'm not a baby, y'know."

kenma barks out a laugh, leaning over to ruffle hinata's hair. "says the one who's been crying all day," hinata giggles at the contact before kenma adds, "baby." you grin as hinata tries to force a pout on his face but it doesn't work, a small smile worming its way there instead.

"we can talk about it later, hm?" you say as you stand before moving to the kitchen to get snacks. hinata nods and snuggles into kenma's arms while mulan begins to play in the background. you're quick to join them, handing a bag of chips to kenma while shō presses a kiss to your cheek before settling in to watch the movie.

turns out the later was much later--you'd gotten through all of mulan, frozen one and two, and half of moana before hinata tried to bring kuroo up again.

"shō, you really don't want to hear about it," you groan while cleaning up the kitchen, carefully evading hinata as he follows close behind. "but you promised," he whines, finally grabbing hold of you and resting his head on your shoulder. kenma pops his head from around the corner with a mouthful of pocky's and shakes his head before speaking up. "you should tell him--he deserves to know why you transfered to karasuno in our third year."

you roll your eyes before bopping hinata on the forehead, sending him to the ground with a moan. "fine but if i'm going to be forced to relive the hell that was my high school years, i'm gonna do it over text." with that, you playfully stomp back over to the couch, bringing out your phone and lying down, determined to get this conversation over with as fast as possible.

Cause I mean it's like one of the first stories I've written and while I do feel like I'd write it differently today I am satisfied with it. I mean it's all cute and wholesome and demonic bros is my shit and I wanna write them again ngl. Also it got so much more attention than my other fics but I did kinda write for like three fandoms at once so it's like no shit

Ok so like I could've done better but also it was supposed to be a oneshot based off some cool fanart I found anyway?? I'm not sure how I ended up wanting to make a series with but I'm gonna say it's cause I thought I could expand it into something more. I am kinda proud of it I mean I wrote it in like a day! Sometimes shit I don't even post takes me two weeks you know!

I'm gonna be honest I completely forgot why I wanted to write this fanfic but I think I did well enough with it. It reminds me that I need to write more xuexiao fluff one day for sure. But also I regret not adding some kind of kiss like I damn near baited readers lmao

See I know I could've done so much more with this if I took more time to flesh out some shit properly but I'm ok-ish with how it is. It feels awkward cause idk how much I got right like my memory from the novel mixed in with the drama and the donghua and then I just became really unsure of my writing with most of it. But I got it done and it's something worth reading I think! I do feel like if I was just a reader I'd probably come back to read it again cause I'm desperate for wen zhuliu content sometimes y'know

So like...I low-key winged this fic off the top of my head. I didn't know how far I was gonna go with it but I just kinda decided like the readers could fill in the gap between this and "Alive in a city of death" and then anything else I add on to it will just be progressing whatever I'm going for with them (this is why I wanted to try writing song lan in case I somehow wanted to insert him)

But I'm cool with how it turned out overall

Keeping Up A-fear-ance's Thoughts

This is such an old ask so thanks for waiting anon! I think it's related to this ask and the string of posts that had popped up on the main tag a while ago asking for an infertilty storyline for Kathony in S3 (those of you who wanted that are gross af - will explain more later)

When I first got these asks, I did agree these were compelling dramatic conflicts for S3 Kanthony but I just want happily married Kathony in S3. It's a least I deserve after Frannie's recasting and S3 leads.

Something to be noted about this ask is that it was written before the S3 leads announcement 😤 so even if we did get any of these storylines, Pelican is going to overshadow everyone like they've done the last two seasons. That aside, the writing for this show has been objectively god awful and I wouldn't trust the writers to properly complete these arcs well at all.

That reality check aside, let's talk about these potential storylines in a hypothetical world we'd get them:

The Ton's Pushback of Kate:

Yes, it would be interesting to see how Kathony navigates it. And while we did see the Bridgertons' fall from grace last season, it's not going to stick next season. They are pretty untouchable and will bounce back for sure. In that vein, Kate would be protected and the Ton just has to suck up and be nice to her.

Violet Adjusting to Kate being The Viscountess

Okay I know this has mess potential for the conflict of it all and there was a time everyone was saying that Violet and Kate would butt heads running the household. But I can see Book!Violet doing that more than Show!Violet. The latter seems very welcoming and ready for Anthony to marry last season. Girlie was ready to retire is my personal headcanon and it would be more interesting to see Violet guide Kate into the role. Kinda like our version of The Princess Diaries but The Viscountess Diaries ahahha.

Writing this back, I'm realising I just want Kate to be happy in S3 lmao she's suffered too much in her own season already, I don't want anymore drama for my girl.

You're SO right about a potential infertilty sideplot for Kathony. It's so boring, tired and not to mention the optics are going to be shitty. Like let's add one more failure/insecurity for Kate - its like those people who propose these overly angsty canon situations for Kathony are fucked up. Why do yall wanna constantly see these character suffer? I think in fics it's fine but if you overly do it, you might wanna examine that. This isn't just about Kathony fics, across the board I have seen some authors just straight up abuse their so called 'fave' characters in the name of angst it's annoying. Like why do you hate them being happy??

If Shonda does that route with Kathony, she's just as bad and honestly I don't know what to say. She just constantly lets me down with the shows she produces, I have officially given up on her as a creator who champions for her community and characters of colour.

I'm just gonna talk about my gender issues on main like that's something I'm just gonna do. It's the new year it's my blog if I can't be myself on a blog online where nobody knows who I am (except my real life sister I love you sm) then what the fuck you know? Like what type of life am I living where I'm scared to post it out loud instead of just whispering it in the tags

I have so many gender thoughts and since the pandemic started I haven't really voiced them at all. Zero percent of my conversations have been about gender, in comparison to my weekly therapist meeting when I was on campus so it hasn't been easy and I guess it took the queer eye episode on the new season about the trans girl to make me realize that it is pointless to try and hide away from yourself and it's not even like a huge difference for me it's mostly just processing my day to day emotions and relations

In college I could just let it all out to a professional and they would give me like a cool little excersice that helped. Then they changed the head therapist to a guy that plainly did not get it I mean I didn't really give him the chance but you feel it when someone just won't click with you I wasn't comfortable telling him he didn't do anything it was just the vibe

I remember my first therapist Christopher. He got it. I could pour my heart out and he would make sense of it. He was so cool so badass he wore this long sleeve like sweater over his white collar shirts and one time I saw him near the library and he had the sleeves pull back and he had like tats in both arms oh he was just the coolest my 19 year old self was so in awe of this guy's vibe he was a serious person just like me but I could tell we had more than just that first impression in common becauseeee (I love telling this story) one time he was about to say something about the lgbt community (in reference to whatever I was going through at the time) and instead of saying they he said we and he stuttered like he stumbled with his words which NEVER happened before at all so for me that was a clear nod that the guy was fam I mean just his vibe in general told me anyways... where was I even going with this.... lmao

just that life can sometimes be so gender if you don't interact with your peers I mean not even that sometimes you just gotta change things up in my family I'm too much of myself but like the version they see of me and I'm so very tired of that version I want the cool version that had to do like errands and was called like mr and young man like that was so much funnnn I don't need a dick to experience that people around me just felt my energy my vibe and they said yes this is a gentleman right here than got all flustered when I spoke which was also fun kinda like a let down that they had to correct it because honestly getting called Mister is just such a huge booster and that's like the energy I miss and I need just going out having like a juice or something in a plaza feeling the sun in my face going in car with good music on laughing with my friends thinking about the strangers we could be meeting that night OH I just miss he whole thing

basically :  it’s just like how you might normally rp stuff 1x1 on a sideblog, or a normal blog !!! either you, or your rp partner , creates a ‘server’ using the normal sidebar on discord ( there should be a + symbol ! ) and you can call it whatever you want ( i usually just call it an emoji or smth but thats just me ! ) , and you can add a lil discord server photo as well if you want ! it also gives you the invite link straight away , or a chance to invite whoever u want to very quickly too ! 

then CATEGORIES ! right click on ‘ text channels ‘  and there’ll be an option to create a category . personally , if i’m doing multiple 1x1s, or if i like to keep ooc chat seperate , i’ll name the channel accordingly . e.g  ‘ ic stuff ‘ ‘ ooc stuff’  ‘character name x character name ‘. i do this just to keep things neat and organised !
