Advanced Placement Credit Given to…

☾☼✧☽ summary: the ap classes these different characters would take
☾☼✧☽ type: headcannons, modern au
☾☼✧☽ warnings: n/a
☾☼✧☽ a/n: my ap classes are killing me-
▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢
✧ albedo
chemistry and art history
I think the chemistry part is obvious, as an alchemist he would find this kind of thing fascinating. Obviously he would enjoy the rigor and fast paced layout of the class. CB requires 16 labs to be done throughout the year in ap chem and he would adore this as well. Definitely thinking he’s pulling an A in this class, actually an A+
Albedo’s an artist and a curious individual. I imagine he would find himself interested in the history of art and the different pieces. As a chemist he is always chasing after whys and hows; it only makes sense for him to look for this in art as well. He would also pull a high A I feel in this class due to his commitment to his studies
✧ amber
human geography
Amber isn’t much of an academic, but she appreciates geography I imagine. As an outrider who is exploring and navigating, she would find the history of places and maps fascinating. Amber also, or at least I seem to think, would have a hard time taking an intense ap class. This one is one of the easiest out of the ones CB offers. I think Amber would get an A in this class and I am firm believer that she unfortunately is the one who reminds the teacher when homework is due :/
✧ diluc
macroeconomics, microeconomics, and statistics
Macroeconomics covers the economic of wider areas like regions and nations. Diluc being someone who has a business that is known worldwide would I feel find value in knowing about the economics of not only his country but others as well.
Microeconomics is more focused on the economics of an individual thing like companies. This is a class that would give the insight on the business side of economics.
Business requires a lot of data. Most of the time when analyzing data statistics is involved. Diluc would use statistics I feel to see what kinds of wine tend to sell on what regions and what happens when prices increase and decrease.
Diluc I see passing all of these classes, I think the economic ones with an A and stats with a high B.
✧ jean
comparative government and politics and psychology
Government and politics I feel is self explanatory because of how Jean pretty much runs Mondstadt. She has to contact diplomats from all nations and make negotiations. I think she would also find it kind of interesting about different types of government and how things are ran.
Jean would have to on some level be a people person. To some degree she would have to know how people think and feel. She would find the makeup of the human brain fascinating I think.
Jean is not letting herself get anything less than an A, let’s be real-
✧ lisa
english language and composition, english literature and composition, and latin (or teyvat’s equivalent, maybe Khaenri’ah’s language..)
Tumblr deleted Lisa’s part like 3 TIMES kill me :/. Anyways, I think the language composition and literature composition are obvious. I mean…..she’s a librarian.
The language thing I feel would stem from her wanting to be able to read more books. Therefor she wanted to learn a new language to broaden her selection of books
She wanted to take ap chem but decide to just do general instead. I definitely think Lisa could get an A in all three classes. I just think she gets distracted easily and would need someone to help her focus.
✧ sucrose
chemistry, biology, and computer science a
Obviously she would take chem with Albedo. I think it would take her a bit longer to grasp some of the concepts and Albedo might have to help her out some but she does overall well in the class, I say an A-
She flies through biology without a problem due to her interest in life forms. Is definitely earning an A+
OKAY HEAR ME OUT! So Sucrose wants to study how to manipulate life to make it better and brighter. I think she would be all over the idea of being a bioengineer. Thus, she would learn how to code.
Sucrose would do well in the comp sci a course I believe. I could see her being a really good problem solver and understanding Java well (the programming language you learn in comp sci a)
✧ venti
music theory
Don’t come for my throat, I love Venti I swear. However, I do not think he would preform well in this class. Music theory isn’t really so much about composing music as it is about the rules of composing music. I think Venti would do wonderfully with dictation (where you hear notes/chords and have to identify and write them). As well as sight singing (where you are given a sheet of music and have a certain amount of time to practice and sing it).
We all know Venti is great at composing music…but he doesn’t really like playing by the rules (aka all the figured bass line shit), so I don’t think he’d do so good. Venti can read sheet music sure but he didn’t take the time to memorize all the special symbols when he just knows music.
I’m going to be generous and give him a C considering he can do the dictation and sight singing. Anything where he’s having to analyze and determine cadences or other conceptual stuff he’s kind of screwed
▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢
kaeya does not take any ap classes however he relentlessly bothers albedo while he is trying to study. Also totally tries to convince lisa at least once to bail on writing a paper and come to some party or whatever.
▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢▢
thank you so much for reading !
stay hydrated and safe !

How to Self-Study Any AP Course

If you're a high school student, chances are you are taking or planning to take an AP course. AP courses are a fantastic way gain college credit, as well as adding an impressive aspect to your school resume. But what do you do if your school doesn't offer any AP's??? The answer is to self-study!!!
What is Self-Study
Self-study is the process of independently preparing got an Advanced Placement (AP) exam without taking the corresponding AP course offered at the high school. This approach is often chosen by students who:
Have a strong interest in a subject not offered as an AP course at their school.
Want to earn a college credit or demonstrate academic rigor in areas outside their formal coursework.
Feel confident in their ability to learn independently and manage their own study schedule.
If you fit any of those three listed reasons, self-study may be the right path for you!
How to Sign up for Self- Study
Step 1: Figure out what you would like to study. Visit the College Board website and look under APs to see all the exams that are offered. Here you can also find unit break downs of the course that you would like to take, as well as the exam date, and much more information regarding the exam.
https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/courses
Step 2: Email your Guidance counselor or AP coordinator. This is how you will officially register for your exam. Once you get in contact with one of them, you will pay your registration fee that will arrive via mail.
Step 3: Begin studying!! I would like to add that when you sign up for an AP exam, you gain access to the AP Classroom tool from College Board. Although this is useful, when you self-study, there is a chance that you will not be assigned any coursework. Therefore, you will only have access to the rather short AP Daily videos. I find that these videos do not cover everything that you need to know for your exam. Which is why it is crucial that you have the resources listed below to be successful.
How to Successfully Self Study
Online courses. Online courses are the best and most useful resource for self-study. There are tons of websites with free tools that can be used to learn course content. In my opinion, the best being Khan Academy. Khan Academy is the official practice partner for AP and has in depth course lessons for a plethora of AP courses, including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, AP US History, AP Physics 1, AP Physics 2, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Microeconomics. Learn more with this link:
https://blog.khanacademy.org/khan-academy-is-the-official-practice-partner-for/
Another website that I personally love is IITian Academy. IITian Academy offers exam style questions and high-quality resources that are for the most part free. Under the AP tab of their website, you can find exam style question banks with solutions, concise summary notes, mock exams and past exam papers for the following courses: AP Physics 1 Algebra-Based, AP Physics 2 Algebra-Based, AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism, AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Biology, AP Chemistry, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, and AP Statistics. In my opinion, the most useful tool is the concise summary notes. They may be a summary but are by no means undetailed. Copying down notes from IITian Academy allows you to not have to scramble to figure out what you should right down and what you should just keep in your memory. Learn more with this link:
https://www.iitianacademy.com/ap-exam/
Dedicate Time to Study. It is important to find time to properly learn the material. In my opinion, it is best to have a time during the day where there is nothing going on to just copy notes. Whether that be a study hall/ study period, after school, or even a less rigorous class where you can be off doing your own thing. If your afternoon schedule is packed with extracurriculars or work, try to find time during the school day. In my case, I have plenty of afternoon time to dedicate to self-study. One way I like to make studying feel less like studying, is to put on a show while I study. the material does not have to be the forefront of your focus when you are writing notes initially. For me, it's best to put the material into my passive memory until I am finished note taking so I can go back in later to thoroughly read them. But until then, I have my show on, or TikTok open.
Actively review material. Actively reviewing ensures that you are keeping the information that you are learning fresh. Practice questions can help you figure out how well you can recall a specific unit or subject, and what you need to work on. From there, you can take note of what you need to review and go back to that topic. The websites listed in the Online resources section have topic specific practice questions available.
Practice Exams. When you finish learning the course material, take practice exams to assess what topics you need to work on overall as well as getting used to the time restrictions of the exam. these can be found in physical review books as well as online. My personal favorite website for practice exams is Barron's. Once you sign up for free, you will have access to Barrons Online Learning Hub, where you can register and gain free access to timed and untimed practice exams.
https://www.barronseduc.com
Another website that has full practice exams is CrackAP.com. Keep in mind that this website only offers the pdf version of past exams, which means you will have to manually grade the exam, as well as time yourself with a manual timer.
https://www.crackap.com/index.html
Prep Books. Prep books give great targeted exercise for your upcoming exam. Depending on the prep book that you get, it may have key concepts that show up in the exam, and what material is more important than others. That way you can make it a point to pay attention. I recommend the Pearson Education Test Prep Series. Pearson Education Prep books offer detailed explanations of what is most crucial to know for your upcoming exam.
YouTube videos. You can find almost anything on YouTube. That includes unit summaries for each unit of your subject. It is also helpful for breaking down the most complex of topics. I recommend this for when no matter how hard you try, you just cannot understand a particular topic and need it to be thoroughly explained.
Conclusion
It is important to be aware of the opportunities that are available to you in order to succeed. Even if your school does not offer AP courses or does not offer the particular course that you would like to take, or simply because you feel that you would learn better independently, self-study is a viable option not matter where you are or what circumstances.

Subjects I Have To Submit Assignments For:
AP Statistics
Applied Statistics with RStudio
Spanish III
Calculus
Creative Writing
Physics
AP Microeconomics
Physical Education
Law
Probably gonna do this list from the bottom up bc the last few are the easiest. I've already completed and presented my final presentation for law. Finished taking both AP exams as well so I just need to catch up on work at this point. I need to write my final short story for creative writing, which I'm going to enjoy any way so thats nice. Hopefully are calc teacher doesn't one shot us with an exam at the end of the year. I have alot of work for physics and Spanish sadly but ya know, I'm just here to pass.
Online school really has destroyed most of my motivation to do anything I swear. After the summer starts I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this blog. I might use it as study motivation for subjects over the summer if I decide to learn anything. I also have to tutor my brother so I may give updates on that. Or maybe I'll just post my rollerblading progress until school starts back up.

8.26.2022
i am doing good today. i had ap/hl1 literature this morning and we discussed the structures of poems, which included stanza structure and line structure. i enjoyed the poems we read, despite their sad nature. then, i went to ap research and i narrowed my topic down more and i ended up deciding i would focus on platelets rather than just the entire blood network. i still need quite a bit more focus on my question (obviously haha) but i’ll get there with time. at lunch today, one of the clubs went around selling food and i bought 2 cake pops for only 2 dollars. they were so good i do not regret it one bit. i also had some rice with green beans and shredded chicken, topped with teriyaki sauce. i forgot to get a picture of it, but i do have a picture of the snack i ate once i got home, which was large curdled cottage cheese smothered on a slice of sourdough bread, with some sliced tomatoes and ground black pepper on top. it was only around 278ish calories so i thought that was lovely. anyways, after lunch i had microeconomics and we talked about the concepts of opportunity cost as well as absolute and comparative advantage; it was very interesting. lastly, i went to my ap calculus bc class. this class is the one math class in my entire life that i could not understand very well, and as you can see in one of my pictures, i was watching tons of videos to try and understand what we were doing. we also did test corrections in class today and i felt terribly humbled haha. i’m also proud of myself for how well i did on my ap/hl1 biology test. i thought i could have done better but im thankful that my grade is still at a fairly high a. now, i’m about to continue my ap environmental system and societies (or apes) homework and get that done, so that over the weekend, i only have sl german and ap/hl1 chemistry homework to do. that’s it for now and thank you for your time :)
