the fire since shona's disappearance never stopped burning. sometimes the rage would dilute with the help of alcohol, and on other nights it would fuel it brighter. oz was constantly teetering on the edge of insanity, knowing if he ever did he'd lose control of himself and his emotions. that little voice inside of him begged to keep his head cool, he still needed to be sane to find her. standing behind the bar he was pouring what was probably his sixth shot of whiskey when he noticed zelda occupying one of the barstools. he downed it quickly, enjoying the burn as it went down. it was the only sensation worth having anymore. clearing his throat, running an anxious hand through his hair as he was already pouring another glass. "still no news?" he asked, wanting to sound hopeful but the defeat was evident in his tone.

So I'm bi and I'm writing a story where two characters are kicked out for being queer(one for being trans and the other for being a panromantic ace) and part of the plot is founding family. But think it may be perceived as profiting of trauma that I don't face

I’m going to preface this by saying that this is my personal opinion so there may be those that disagree with me. I can absolutely see and understand why you would worry about this and why you might have reservations about proceeding. However, I think that there are stories worth telling that can be important to read and if written right, they can benefit others regardless of who has written them and their own experiences. I would urge you to find and speak with people who have been in that situation if they’re willing to speak about it. You’ll be able to better understand the nuances, the trauma, and even the potential healing processes that your characters may go through. Writing about things which you don’t experience is difficult but not only does it make us better writers, it makes for stories that can connect with people when they need it most.

I hate when I say things like "oh I want an ipod classic but with bluetooth so I can use wireless headphones" and some peanut comes in and replies with "so a smartphone with spotify?" No. I want a 160GB+ rectangular monstrosity where I can download every version of every song I want to it and it does nothing except play music and I don't need a data connection and don't have to pay a subscription to not have ads and don't have popups suggesting terrible AI playlists all over the menus.
