Landmann Fryton 4.1 Gas BBQ -Review
Regardless of the unpredictable weather we have suffered in the UK, in 2023, cooking outdoors is continuing to grow in popularity.  Whenever I give BBQ MasterClasses, I try to get my audience to broaden the range of dishes they cook but of course that also depends on the equipment they have in their backyard. I’ve been sent a Fryton 4.1 gas barbecue to review by the company that makes them…

Alright I’ll bite, the hell is Malevolent actually about? Been meaning to dive into it but still need a bit of a push!
Ohhhhh! I’m glad you ask!
Malevolent is a horror podcast based off of Lovecraftian horror about a private investigator named Arthur Lester who wakes up in his office with no memories of how he got there, and a voice in his head that claims to now have control of his eyes. The both of them, now on the run from cops, monsters, and cultists alike, search for the answers to what circumstances brought the both of them together in the first place.
It’s a really good show with awesome writing, well rounded characters, and amazing sound design, even if John’s voice takes a bit to get used to- though probably too good sound design because Malevolent gets extremely gorey and violent and also has a lot of body horror (individual episodes unfortunately don’t have trigger warnings, a couple of episodes have big misophonia and vomit warnings, so be warned!) but if you can stomach that, then I highly recommend it! Season 3 just ended (with 28 episodes + 1 inbetween seasons episode) and episodes come out monthly, though there are weekly chapters on the Patreon!
Generally, if you’re rarely bothered by the horror in some shows like The Magnus Archives, The Silt Verses, and Old Gods of Appalachia, then you should be fine, but Malevolent can get more intense than these ones do, but it is really well put together and I enjoy every minute of the show!

It always sucks when I'm watching a male reviewer go over something that centers on a woman that has themes of femininity and sexism but they just mention that aspect of it briefly and move on

I think my favorite part of dungeon meshi so far is when the orc leader says humans find orcs ugly and asks Laius what he thinks of orc beauty then Laius gives a genuine indepth review that basically sums up 'yeah i think your wives are pretty hot actually' and you can see it in both their faces when Laius realizes that was not the right answer. Certainly not the one the chief was expecting but still wrong. There was no winning it honestly.

OKAY; We need to talk about this TyZula scene:
this scene has been talked about a LOT. specifically by anti-tyzula/azula fans. but for this "rant" im looking at it through the lens of just azulas character.
it is DETRIMENTAL to azula as a character. this will be a slightly indepth review i guess. im sure someone already talked about this and what im going to say, but i just want to bring it to light considering some of the anti-azula/tyzula stuff i've been seeing recently
Part 1: Azulas reaction to the way Ty Lee approaches her
the way ty lee approached azula is really important here. you might just think, "oh leo it's just Azula being jealous!" but when ty lee walks up to azula saying, "thank goodness you're here!" (i didn't get this part in the clip cuz im a fool and didn't record it on time but whatever go watch the clip on youtube) this qoute is really impactful. it possibly made azula feel less than ty lee. here is the qoute again, "Thank goodness you're here", i feel like azula would take this very personally.
even just the single first sentence. "Thank goodness" is obviously ty lee thanking azula, but for what? you might say, "well yeah for being there" but i genuinely believe azula would interpret this along the lines of, "she only wants me when she needs me" or something like that.
Part 2: Azula's jealously towards Ty Lee
i think a lot of people solely think she's jealous over the boys liking ty lee more than her. but it's not just that. i genuinely find that azula is not only jealous of the boys, but also social interaction in general. specifically with ty lee having that skill and her not.
we don't have much information as to mai, ty lee, and azulas experience in the Royal Fire Academy for Girls, but im assuming azula didn't need much social skills to succeed there. she had two close friends to deal with people speaking to her, and was literally a crown princess of the FIRE NATION. if she couldn't get what she wanted whether mai or ty lee were there- she could always use her royalty as her advantage. i also can see her threatening those in school who opposed her (without using her royalty as a reason). there is a key moment we see during a flashback where azula and ty lee are playing. azula did her best to preform a cartwheel and failed while ty lee succeeded. because of this azula actually pushes ty lee down!
Tumblr media
keep in mind that this is one of azulas closest friends other than mai. we can only IMAGINE what azula would do to a student who got in the way of something she wanted.
so yes; azula is jealous of ty lee getting attention from boys, but it's not solely that. it's her social skills that she's also jealous of.
Part 3: The Conflict
azula gets defensive after her reaction to the previous plot point. she verbally attacks ty lee because of it. azula says to ty lee, "those boys only like you because you make it so easy for them! you're not a challenge, you're a tease."
yes azula is "critiquing" the "way" ty lee attracts men. azula is saying she'd do the exact opposite. but the opposite is all she knows. she grew up learning the power of being the best, being perfect, and fear mongering. she genuinely sees that as the way to handle ANY social situation.
as far as, "it's not like they actually care who you are." qoute goes; azula sees this as another flaw in her interactions with men.
example is when she tries to convince chan to to maybe (?) have a relationship or farther; she uses (not exactly royality) but her skills as a skilled bender for a reason to stay with her. considering she has no social skills, her only option (in her mind) is to use her higher power. ty lee doesn't use her high rank in nobility (along with her chi blocking abilities) to what azula would call an advantage.
im not defending azulas verbal assault on ty lee. im solely explaining (imo) the feelings behind it.
Part 4: Ty Lee's reaction
This one is simple. ty lee is hurt by azulas words. obviously.
Part 5: Azula's redemption for this scene
it already baffles me when people say azula is (pure evil) just based on her actions between others. but this scene shows a side of azula we haven't been able to see so far through the series. an apology. not only did she apologize to ty lee but admitted her mistake and explained why she said what she did. i think it's insane that people solely walk past this scene and only see it as azula bullying ty lee. if anything it's the opposite. yes she makes a rude remark, but after seeing ty lee's reaction she IMMEDIATELY takes her comment back an apologizes.
this is so human and shows a side we hardly ever got to see. especially when it's specifically between her and ty lee. their relationship is so important as far as azulas character goes. (not to get too deep into it but,) even in "Azula and the Spirit Temple" ty lee is one of the illusions that the spirit attempts to make her happy with. azula obviously has a strong connection to ty lee in a loving and caring way that most people look past. whether it's from these scene or that specific comic. obviously their relationship has unhealthy flaws but what relationship doesn't?
Part 6: A quick resolution
so there you go. basically an essay on a single 36 second clip i just wanted to give azula some light because people ALWAYS paint her as "crazy" or "evil" but that's simply not true. same goes for TyZula. yes there is a power imbalance, but azula does admit her mistakes and apologizes for hurting ty lee's feelings.
Anyway thanks for reading!!

So before I make an indepth review on both Hazbin episodes that I have watched, i want to talk about how stupidly convenient this image is.
Tumblr media
So SOMEHOW an Exorcist died for the first time after a recent cleanse. The head was decapitated, and Lute exclaims that this has never happened before. So.. how has this never happened before?
I'm assuming that the yearly cleansing has been going on for many years, and no Exorcist has died before up until now, which is pretty stupid.
So this happened one of two ways. Either there's a demon or some force out there that's so powerful that it managed to kill an Exorcist without Adam or Lute knowing, or the Exorcist died by a weapon.
Both of these are honestly dumb because if there is a Demon strong enough to kill an Exorcist, you'd assume Lucifer would know about it. Secondly if there are weapons capable of killing Exorcists..uh what are they?
It wouldn't make sense if someone killed an Exorcist with a regular sword because Hell has all sorts of weapons, some more technologically advanced than Earth. If it was an Exorcist weapon, then it makes the Exorcists look dumb.
We might know who caused it later on, we might not, don't know but overall, this revelation is very bad in terms of writing.

For some reason I can really imagine Tori having a letterboxd account, though she doesn't tell anyone about it (obviously) and is under the same username as her blog, so no one actually knows who she is on there. She would log every film she watched even if she does it days after she actually watched it, sometimes give reviews (which are probably unhinged in some way or really indepth or extremely concise and to the point), constantly change her ratings of films because she would end up thinking about one she watched in the past and end up realising how it wasn't so great as she initially thought it was (like what she said about Garden State in Solitaire) and her top 5 films would change all the time. She would have had this account for years and because of that she would end up having a fair amount of followers from obscurely named lists and random reviews she's made over the years.
And then one day, Tao goes to log a film he just watched and sees her review though he doesn't know it's Tori and vice versa. They then realise they like a lot of the same films and have a similar opinion about loads of them and sometimes watch films they see the other just logged and maybe Tao starts debates in reviews with Tori. (I know in the 2023 Q&A Alice showed Tao's Letterboxd and his username is his actual name, but in this he doesn't haha)

I know that this might be considered impolite, but there's like six days left to reach the milestone and I'm excited and desperate.
Go subscribe to Quinton Reviews on YouTube so that we get videos analyzing Zoey101 and Drake and Josh
The numbers will be rounded up or down to the nearest half
If you don't know who this is, you mightve heard someone mention an 8 hour long video about victorious or iCarly, and he's that guy.
He's made a four hour video about the popularity and fall of Fred Figglehorn, he's made two videos about iCarly at 5 hours and 3.5 hours respectively, he's made two Victorious videos at 5.5 hours and 8 hours each, and three Sam and Cat videos at 5, 6.5, and 9.5 each.
If he reaches a million (I believe by the end of 2023), he will make videos about Drake and Josh and Zoey101.
So if you will... please.
He makes more than just that btw, he has other stuff. I really liked his videos about the bee movie and slenderman. He just gets and deserves a lot of credit for his nickelodeon projects
I'm tagging Starkid stuff because guess what? He's talking about Henry Danger in the newest Sam and Cat video. And as you might know, there's a character named Tim Jerkowski played by Joey Richter in it. And Quinton has mentioned him, so I'm now legally allowed to tag starkid stuff.
Please don't get mad at me for tagging that stuff because of such a small mention, I'm just very excited about all this stuff, and it already seems like starkid fans would enjoy his videos. They're very indepth and interesting and I love even learning about the shows that I've never watched, like Henry Danger or Game Shakers. I've never watched anything Fred Figglehorn related, but his video The Reign of Fred Figglehorn is probably one of my favourites. So, even if you haven't seen Victorious or iCarly or Sam and Cat, you can still enjoy his Nickelodeon series.
I will say, as a side note, I think that the nerds from npmd would enjoy these videos and offhandedly suggest them to Steph, and she'd always be like '9 hours? Nah fam.' And then she'd watch them and run to Pete, Richie and Ruth and say that they were really good and interesting.

You know The Cake someone on here made by letting people choose ingredients from a poll and it turned into a mostly vanilla extract cake imagine that but its Armand creating his weird blender concoctions, the ingredients just consist of really odd things a witch wouldn't even put into a potion ; he posts a part two which is a really really indepth review with photos, tries to get Daniels comments on it but he won't even go near it with a 10ft poll
