March 26, 2023 - Sunday | Ramadan Challenge 🌙 4/30

Ramadan is the month of the qur'an. What is an ayah from the Qur'an that has changed your view of things or impacted you deeply?

Definitely it’s ‘Verily with hardship there is ease’ I have gotten through the most difficult moments of my life looking for the ease within my difficulty since it’s promised by Allah and Allah doesn’t break His promises. And I’ve always found it. Always. I think scientifically that would be similar to the effects of gratefulness/optimism and fighting negativity bias (which tbh are very difficult to do from scratch so I’m very happy to have had Islam to give me a head start)

Another verse that holds a similar place in my heart actually is Surah Ad-Duha. It also reminds the Prophet ﷺ of his blessings as a way through difficulty. Actually before a really big hardship in my life I ‘coincidentally’ had to explain this surah at our weekly masjid halaqa. And then when the hardship came that surah was the one thing that kept me going and I remember feeling so seen because I really felt like Allah had given me a review sheet lol before the test so I could get thru it easier 😭 like He was like you will explain surah duha this week cuz you’ll need it in a few days trust me 😭 Alhamdulillah 💗✨
