In my language, we don't call our beloved "babe/baby." Instead, we use the term "Meri jaan," which roughly translates to, my soul, my life or the very bane of my existence and I think that is beautiful :)

PS: "Meri jaan" can also be used for platonic friends but is more popular among lovers.

It was cold outside, and your boyfriend had a game today, out of all days. You didn't even realize how cold it was until it was too late.

"Hey Jaan!" You arrived just in time to be able to say hi to him. He ran up to you, warm body embracing you tightly. You didn't want to let go, especially not in this weather.

"Y/n, hi," He mumbled, head buried in the crook of your neck. "You feel really cold."

"Oh, I do..?" You asked. You were trying not to start shivering. The last thing you wanted to do was make Jaan worry.

His hands made their way to your arms. He grimaced as he rubbed your arms. "Yeah, you're really cold. I'll be right back, okay? I still have some time before the game starts."

You watched as Jaan ran to the lockers.

He swiftly came back a minute later with his sweater. "Arms out," He ordered. Jaan helped you put on the sweater, something you could've easily done yourself, but he loves to pamper you.

"Jaan! Stop being so lovey-dovey and get on the field!" Jino yelled.

"Bye, y/n," Jaan waved. He was about to leave until you tugged on his arm. "Y/n, wh-"

You didn't let him finish, pressing a kiss to his soft lips. "For good luck. You got this, baby." Jaan grinned widely, sprinting to his position. "I'll give you more if you win!" You call out.
