This is the Gaza Strip:
Tumblr media
You might remember how earlier on, Israel ordered everyone to evacuate to the south of Gaza, and however painfully and sometimes fatally, many did, to Khan Younis and Rafah.
There've been attacks in "safe" zones throughout these last months, but tonight all eyes turn to Khan Younis.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Please keep raising awareness about Palestine. However much possible, participate in Bisan's strike this week, follow the BDS list, talk to friends and family and colleagues. Applying pressure is the only way anything will change.

If you think these atrocities are new, you haven’t been paying attention.
On the 16th of July 2014, 4 boys from the Bakr family were playing on Gaza’s beach when the IOF shelled them. One was killed immediately, 3 boys ran. So the IOF shelled them too. A Decade later, we’re still seeing the same atrocities.

Truce ended. Genocide in Gaza unpaused on 7:11am Gaza time. They are telling the residents of Khan Yunis to relocate further south into Rafah
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(الملاجئ here doesn't mean shelters, Gaza doesn't have bomb shelters bcs the material for this construction is banned. This means refugee camp)
But the first house reported bombed was Adwan's family home in Rafah. The first reported martyrs after the resumption of genocide were 4 in Rafah and 2 in Maghazi Camp.
There is nowhere to go. They are trying to force Gazans into Sinai. They don't care how many they kill doing it, even if it is all of them. This is ethnic cleansing and genocide. They are already internally displacing Gazans into combat zones.
Don't stop talking about Palestine. Demand a permanent ceasefire.

The military wing of the Islamic Jihad publishes a video in which it claims to show exchanges of fire between its operatives and IDF forces in eastern Khan Yunis.
Note that all Islamic Jihad military operatives are dressed in civilian clothes so they can blend in well with the civilian population. If they are killed, the Palestinians will claim that Israel is killing civilians, when these are military operatives par excellence.
This is also what Hamas does.

In the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces has put the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis under a brutal siege, barring entry and exit to the facility, which has forced Palestinian families to bury their relatives in the hospital’s yards. The Nasser Hospital is the biggest and most vital health facility in south Gaza and has the highest number of beds, doctors, and operation rooms. It offers medical services to Palestinians as far as Rafah, the most southern town in Gaza. Gaza’s Ministry of Health spokesperson Dr. Asharf al-Qudra said on Tuesday that Israeli forces are besieging the hospital for the second consecutive week.
Currently, there are 150 medical staff, 450 injured patients, and 3,000 displaced Palestinians trapped in the facility, and they are at risk of Israeli fire if they attempt to leave. “Electrical generators at Nasser Medical Complex will stop within two days due to fuel shortages,” Dr. al-Qudra said in a statement on Telegram. “Waste accumulates in the sections and courtyards of the Nasser Medical Complex, and the occupation refuses to allow it to be transported out,” he added.
The ministry said that Israeli forces killed 114 Palestinians and injured 249 others in 13 massacres in Gaza in the past 24 hours.  “A number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads. The occupation prevents ambulance and civil defense crews from reaching them,” it added. The number of Palestinians killed in the Israeli aggression on Gaza now stands at 26,751 martyrs, and 65,636 were injured since October.

UPDATE - THANK YOU
I woke up this morning to find that close to 200 people had shared Bisan's Instagram posts! That was in addition to all the people I saw sharing it last night. Thank you so much, Tumblr friends!
Bisan's latest post tells us she managed to survive the night, thank Heaven, though of course many others didn't, and many more have been injured. She's putting out a call for a general strike next week in support of Palestinians and in protest at the Israeli Occupation's genocide.

Please do visit her post to find out more about how you can support this strike, whether you work or not, wherever you are.

The Biden White House has also said they want “answers”:
“We want answers,” National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters. “We want to see this thoroughly and transparently investigated.” A spokesperson for the US State Department also said Washington was continuing to press Israel for more information.
As with most things claimed by a Hamas-run organization, the problem here is that the mass grave was actually dug in January 2024 – but not by the IDF:
Analyses by Sky News and independent analysts of satellite imagery and footage published online found that claims spread by Hamas and Arabic media that the IDF had dug mass graves at the Nasser hospital in Gaza were false as the graves were made before the IDF entered the complex. Hamas, Al-Jazeera, and several news agencies claimed in recent days that the IDF had dug mass graves in order to “hide” the bodies of Palestinians after entering the Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis.
Here’s more from the Times of Israel:
The IDF, in its response, said that during its operation in the area of Nasser Hospital in recent months, troops examined corpses that had been buried by Palestinians on the medical center’s grounds, “as part of an effort to locate hostages.” The military said it operated in a “targeted manner,” only where it had intelligence that Israeli hostages may have been buried.
GeoConfirmed also has a lengthy thread that includes receipts that back up Shoshani’s statement. Make sure to click on the tweets to expand them for more detailed explanations:

- Israel succeeds in isolating Gaza little by little
- Israel is severely bombing northern Gaza, and confrontations continue in Khan Yunis and the vicinity of Nasser Hospital
- The number of martyrs is still increasing, blood is still flowing, the silence is increasing, communications are cut off, and news is not coming from Gaza.
Don't stop talking, these are dangerous times.
