I wanna start this post by saying that, as a bisexual woman, I do feel for my fellow women and LGBT people in the US, as well as for other minorities. I also fear for all of us around the world, as US politics have a direct impact in all countries.

However, please stop projecting your fears on the gods. If you think the gods suddenly became angry after the elections, after everything the world has gone through this year, that means you think the gods care more about you than they do about everyone else. And that's not okay.

1. You're the centre of the world. Please don't be entitled.

As I said, whatever the US does has an impact everywhere. That doesn't mean we need to extrapolate that into religion.

There are two things that have happened this year that would directly impact the gods. One was Mt Olympus burning in August. The other is an Israeli airstrike nearly hitting the Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek. I saw ZERO posts about the gods being angry about that. Or about the gods being angry at all. I understand you can't read the news about every country ever, but at least try to keep up with the country your religion comes from?

To those two things I said, I could add others that don't impact the gods directly like Palestine, Lebanon and Ukraine getting b0mbed; Argentina, Brazil, Greece, Poland, Austria, Spain and many other countries having deadly fires and floods; the rights of Italian LGBT people being set years back by their current PM, as well as LGBT people in some countries not having rights at all; conservative politicians being elected all over the world; WOMEN BEING BANNED FROM SPEAKING IN AFGHANISTAN; Pakistani Pagan tribes being targeted; the whole Gisèle Pelicot case... I could go on and on and on because there's just too much stuff going on in the world.

If you think none of these things would make the gods go angry, but the moment something happens in your country they're suddenly angry then that's an issue. And if you're trying to make this into a collective truth then you're making it everyone else's issue.

2. This is not an Abrahamic religion.

I understand many of you come from an Abrahamic background. I was raised in a deeply Catholic country. In the type of town where people get their favourite apparition or Mary tattooed. So I understand. But you have to somehow unlearn that when it comes to things like these.

The gods are not angry at you. Why would they be? Did you personally do something to offend them? Did you steal from their temple? Did you brag about being better than them in any way? I'm sure you didn't. So why would they be angry?

If you start saying things like “the gods are angry because of this!!” you sound just like the Christians who repeat Christ is coming soon everytime any type of natural catastrophe happens. Please stop. You're making all of us look crazy.

And also, what do you gain from this? Making other people upset? Especially those who just came into this religion and might think the gods are angry at them? It'd be fine if you posted something like “let's pray for our fellow Americans” but this doesn't make any sense. I just don't understand you people sometimes.

Also if you're gonna reply to this post by saying something along the lines of “people are allowed to talk about their feelings” then delete the comment because it shows you have little reading comprehension.

The Impala parked at the edge of an empty field outside Lebanon. The stars were bright and unapologetically bold, like Dean Winchester himself.

Alex leaned back on the hood of the car, a greasy burger in one hand, fries in the other. Dean sat next to her, sipping a cold soda, a smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.

"This is your idea of a romantic dinner?" she teased, bumping her shoulder into his. "Via cheeseburger?"

"Hey," he said, feigning offense. "This isn't just a cheeseburger. This is the 'Greasy Dan's Ultimate Double Stack'—only served after 10 PM. Limited edition."

She laughed, tossing a fry at him. "And the stars? Was that your plan or just coincidence?"

Dean tilted his head, watching her face glow in the moonlight. "Bit of both. Figured you deserved something quiet. Something real."

Alex went quiet. Sometimes Dean surprised her—not with gifts or gestures—but with presence. With the way he saw her when no one else really did.

"Thanks, Dean," she said softly.

He leaned in, bumping his knee against hers. "Happy Birthday."

Alex didn’t expect much when she walked through her front door. Maybe a quiet evening, maybe some takeout—definitely not a burst of confetti and a chorus of “SURPRISE!” that nearly made her drop her keys.

The house had been transformed—twinkling lights hung like vines from the ceiling, soft music played in the background, and the smell of warm cupcakes lingered in the air.

Beau Arlen stood in the middle of it all, looking proud and a little nervous in that charming cowboy way of his. He wore a button-up that had obviously been ironed with care, and in his hand, a birthday crown that looked like it belonged at a kid’s party.

“Happy Birthday, Sweetheart,” he said, stepping forward and placing the crown gently on her head.

Alex blinked, overwhelmed. “You did all this?”

He nodded. “Yes m'am. Wanted you to feel special. You’re always thinkin’ about everybody else. Figured someone oughta do the same for you.”

Her eyes shimmered as she took it all in—friends from town, a handmade banner that read *“Alex: One of a Kind”*, and in the corner, a photo booth with props Beau probably didn’t even understand but set up anyway.

Later, when most of the guests had gone, Beau handed her a cupcake topped with a single candle. Just the two of them now, in the quiet after the party.

“Make a wish, beautiful ” he said.

She looked at him, then the candle, and smiled.

The day after her birthday, Alex opened her front door to the smell of... something burning.

“Ben?” she called, cautiously stepping inside.

“In the kitchen!” his voice echoed back, followed by a *clang*, a muffled curse, and the sound of something definitely not supposed to sizzle.

She stepped in to find Ben, sleeves rolled up, and a proud (but sweaty) smile on his face—standing beside a table set for two. The centerpiece? A meal that looked like it had fought back.

“Happy... belated birthday?” he said, sheepishly.

Alex raised a brow, crossing her arms “You forgot.”

“I remembered—just, you know, twenty-four hours too late,” he admitted. “But I brought reinforcements.”

He reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out a velvet box. Inside, nestled in dark blue satin, was a vintage necklace—delicate gold with a small emerald center. Old, but timeless.

“Found it at an antique shop,” he said, voice softer. “Figured something with a little history deserved someone who’s got a hell of a story herself.”

Alex stared at it, touched in that deep, quiet way. “Ben... it’s beautiful.”

He shrugged, then motioned to the plate of whatever-he-tried-to-cook. “Now, the food—uh, don’t hold it against me. I was going for ‘modern man’—but I think we better not eat it.”

She laughed, loud and unfiltered, as she walked over and hugged him tight. 'You’re ridiculous,” she said into his chest.

“Yeah, I know this new man shit his bullshit” he chuckled. “But I’m trying. For you.”

She pulled back and looked up at him, the necklace catching light between them.

“That’s all I wanted.”

Alex wasn’t expecting him. Not really. Not after weeks of radio silence and disappearing into whatever shadows Russell called work. But there he was, standing outside her door in his battered leather jacket, hands in his pockets, a little out of place—but unmistakably him.

“Russell?” she blinked.

“Hey,” he said, the corners of his mouth twitching into something like a smile. “Didn’t miss it, did I?”

“You’re a few hours late,” she said, teasing. “But I guess I’ll let it slide.”

“I brought something,” he said, reaching into his jacket and pulling out a folded map—real old, worn at the edges, with scribbled notes in the margins. “Marked some spots. Places I thought you might wanna go, for... I don't know a first date?"

She unfolded it slowly. National parks. Hidden diners. Remote stargazing cliffs. Each marked in red ink, with small notes like *‘sunset here’s unreal’* or *‘you’d like the music in this one.’*

“I figured... maybe you’d let me take you. One at a time.”

Alex was quiet, touched in a way she couldn’t quite say out loud. “You made me a road trip?”

Russell shrugged, suddenly looking unsure. “You always talk about wanting to see the world. I figured maybe I could be better at sticking around… if the world was with you.”

She stepped forward, fingers curling into his jacket. “You came all this way... just to see me?"

He looked down at her, voice low. “I don’t do big parties. But I do show up—for you.”

She smiled. “Then you gave me exactly what I wanted.”

Imagine if Vice President Harris publicly called on a foreign nation that has a history of interfering in our elections to help her defeat Donald Trump. The response would’ve been wall to wall media coverage and members of the GOP would’ve been calling for a DOJ Investigation. But when Donald Trump did that exact thing on Thursday, it barely received any coverage from the corporate media.  Yet there was Trump at an event organized by Trump’s close ally Miriam Adelson—the widow of billionaire Sheldon Adelson and a supporter of far-right policies in Israel—calling on Israel to defeat Harris. I don’t mean Trump inferred he wanted the help of Israel to win, he stated it point blank.

That is when Trump declared: “More than any other people on Earth. More than any other people on Earth, Israel, I believe, has to defeat her. You know that?” He then repeated that Israel—not Jewish Americans—need to help him defeat Harris, stating, “And I’ve never said this before. And I’m thinking, Miriam, more than any people on Earth, Israel has to defeat her. I really believe that.” There is no wiggle room here. Trump twice asked Israeli leaders to help him defeat Harris in a room filled with people like Adelson who has very close ties to Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu. Where is the outrage that Trump wants a foreign nation to interfere in our election?!! What could Netanyahu do to help Trump? Well one example is the online interference type campaign they were engaged in 2016 that I detail below.  Or far worse and what is what we are seeing over the past few days and that is spark a deadly war with Lebanon.

For those unaware, the Israeli government under Netanyahu has a documented history –even noted in Israeli media outlets like Haaretz--of interfering in other nation’s elections, including the United States, to elect people supportive of his right wing views. That was the very point made by The Nation in a detailed deep dive article in 2023 titled, “The Trump Campaign’s Collusion With Israel.” As The Nation explained, “In the spring of 2016, no issue was more important to Benjamin Netanyahu than Donald Trump winning the White House.”  The reason was simple: “The GOP presidential candidate was key to everything he was after, from ending the Iran nuclear agreement, to recognizing Jerusalem—rather than Tel Aviv—as Israel’s capital, to continuing the occupation of” the West Bank.

To that end, Netanyahu personally directed a “covert operation” that “aimed to use secret intelligence to clandestinely intervene at the highest levels in the presidential election on behalf of Trump.” The Times of Israel in 2020 even addressed this plot noting Trump close ally Roger Stone was the point person for key Israeli figures, writing, “the Trump campaign, was in contact with one or more apparently well-connected Israelis at the height of the 2016 US presidential campaign, one of whom warned Stone that Trump was “going to be defeated unless we intervene” and promised “we have critical intell[sic].”
