simon being protective of his mail order bride scratches all the right spots in my brain.
mail-order bride
you're almost relieved when you hear the knock at the door. you've been a holding a tree pose for a few minutes too long, and the girl hosting the online yoga class is starting to fry your eardrums with her too-perky voice.
you're sweating bullets, and her hair hasn't moved a fucking inch out of her ponytail.
you mute the television, wiping your forehead before making your way to the front door. you open it with a sigh, not really knowing what you expected to see, but it certainly wasn't the average-dressed man standing on the steps there.
you blink, raising a brow when his eyes roam over you, and you realize suddenly that you're wearing workout clothes, which is showing off a little more than you'd like to some rando standing on your doorstep.
"uh..." you look around a little. "i'm sorry, can i help you?"
he smiles. it's a little unnerving.
"right, yeah, i'm starting a business around here, and i wanted to ask if you've been needing any help with any fixtures around the house. i'm giving a 50% discount if you give me a rating on google."
you open your mouth for a moment, frowning.
"uhm..." you shake your head, "sorry. we don't need any help right now."
"you live here alone? sometimes it's hard to spot when the electric's on the piss, y'know? need a keen eye," he laughs, coming up one of the steps. you shake your head again.
"no, thanks."
he's a wiry man, but he's tall (not taller than your husband, but taller than you). you step back a little and start to close the door. he comes up the steps. out of the corner of your eye, you see the cat slip out between your legs, hissing a little as the distance closes between you and the man.
"wait! can i give you my contact info? i don't have a card, but i can leave you my--"
the sound of simon's truck pulling into the garage gets both of you to look behind. simon doesn't even park all the way inside. he throws the truck door open, stepping out of it, and the man on your steps moves back away from you immediately, making his way off the little porch.
simon looks huge, more so than ever. his steps are heavy, boots hitting the ground like a warning bell, and he's wearing just a short-sleeved shirt that's showing off those glorious fucking arms. you have never doubted simon's strength, but he looks like he could flip a car with the anger that's leaving him in heavy waves. you're surprised that you are not afraid; you just know somehow that simon won't touch you.
"oi!" simon yells, and the man definitely understands he picked the wrong fucking house to be a creepy salesman at when his knees nearly buckle as he tries to walk away. "where the fuck do y'think y'r goin', you twat?"
you sigh deeply, not realizing how much you were shaking until you notice your hands trembling around the doorknob. you watch as simon catches the guy by his dirty jean jacket, nearly lifting him completely off his feet as he drags him towards the fence gate.
"hey! hey! i didn't do anything!"
"i saw ya, ya fuckin' arse, know exactly wot the fuck y'were doin'," simon growls, tossing him onto the sidewalk. he hits the pavement with a cry, holding onto his arm, and simon slams the fence gate closed before pointing at him accusingly. "'f i ever see ya anywhere near m'fuckin' house or even askin' m'wife for so much as fuckin' directions, i'll cut y'r bloody prick off, y'hear?"
you blink as simon comes closer, the cat retreating back into the house once they see him. he keeps walking, crowding you back into the house before he shuts and locks the front door. his chest is heaving, black t-shirt doing nothing to hide the puff of his chest and how large he makes himself when he stands up to other men. he doesn't even need to make himself larger; simon takes up enough space for two men combined.
"he touch you?" simon asks, his voice low. you see his fists clench, and you have no doubt that if you said yes, simon would go outside and paint the pavement a new color with the man's face.
you shake your head frantically, and he lets out a deep breath, reaching up and wrapping a hand around the back of your head and pulling you close.
he bends, pressing his masked forehead against yours, closing his eyes as he breathes in slowly. he rubs at the nape of your neck, soothing you, and you smile when he pulls away, giving him those big eyes that say thank you, thank you, thank you.
simon cocks his head, staring behind you, and you turn with him to see the cat blinking slowly at the two of you from it's place on the windowsill.
"should get you a fucking guard dog instead," simon mutters, pulling his mask off and kicking his boots into the corner. you smile as he walks away, trying to cool your warm cheeks with the backs of your hands.
doesn't he know you already have one?

Twirling Hearts- part 1
Tumblr media
pairing: yeon si-eun x reader (female reader)
rating: 18+
genre: romance, smut
warnings: overprotective sieun, school bullying, discussion about food and weight, violence, harassment, eventual smut, mature language, sexual harassment, slow-burn, jealousy, baku always being at the scene of the crime…
summary: Who would've thought that a ballerina and the school's most feared nerd would complete each other so well? Being the new student was never easy—especially not when you were the only girl transferring into an all-boys school. To make matters worse, Eunjang High has a reputation for having its fair share of troublemakers. Some of the rumors were enough to make anyone second-guess stepping through those front gates…
author's note: the lack of fanfic dedicated to sieun is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable. I had to come back from hiatus for him. I’m warning y’all, it’s a long one. there’s a part 2 coming soon, maybe a part 3 if this goes well. please note that English isn’t my first language, so there might be some mistakes here and there. i hope you will enjoy, and if you do, please leave a comment <3
word count: 8k+ ( I know… I went overboard )
part : 1 , 2, 3., 4., 5.
Being the new student was never easy—especially not when you were the only girl transferring into an all-boys school. To make matters worse, Eunjang High had a reputation for having its fair share of troublemakers. Some of the rumors were enough to make anyone second-guess stepping through those front gates.
Your family had helped set up an apartment not too far from the academy and Eunjang High. A single bus route connected both places, making the commute manageable with your tight schedule. Originally from Busan, you welcomed the distance that Seoul offered. Being hours away from your parents gave you a kind of peace you hadn’t realized you needed until it now.
Back home, your father placed suffocating academic pressure on your shoulders, while your mother lived vicariously through your ballet career, projecting her own lost dream of becoming a prima ballerina onto you. Here, in this new city, you could finally breathe a little easier.
To balance both ballet and school, you needed a flexible academic setup. Thankfully, Eunjang High offered a unique mix of online and on-campus classes. A lot of the students there were repeating years or following unconventional tracks, which made the school more lenient with scheduling. It was one of the only reasons why they bent the rules to admit you, despite the school typically being reserved for boys. They needed to fill seats. You needed a compromise.
Although your father wasn’t exactly thrilled about the idea of you attending a school like Eunjang, there weren’t many better options. This compromise—the odd, messy arrangement—was the only way both your parents could get a piece of what they wanted. As long as you kept your grades up at this so-called “lousy” school and continued to perform well in the online program, your father was willing to compromise to please your mother.
Each weekday followed a strict routine. Mornings were reserved for intensive ballet practice at the academy. From there, you’d head straight to Eunjang High for your campus courses: English, mathematics, social studies, and science. After that, it was back to the academy for evening classes. Your online studies could be completed anytime throughout the week, as long as you met the deadlines. The weekends were yours, thankfully.
Today was the day everything would change.
To say you were nervous would’ve been an understatement. Your stomach was in knots, your thoughts racing faster than your footsteps on the way to the academy. There was a strange heaviness in the air, like something big was about to unfold.
Later, you’d look back and realize—you had every reason to feel that way.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
The morning had started better than expected.
You were pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere at the ballet academy. Though the classes were clearly going to be grueling and demanding, there was something deeply motivating about the environment. It felt purposeful. Focused. The kind of place where real growth could happen.
Your instructor, Mrs. Kim, was a stern older woman with a sharp gaze and impeccable posture—clearly someone who had spent her life perfecting her craft. She wasn’t warm, exactly, and you didn’t expect her to be. But her corrections were precise and never cruel. She was strict, yes, but not out of ego or power—she pushed for improvement… And that made all the difference.
The other dancers were older than you by a few years, likely in their early twenties, and carried themselves with the kind of quiet confidence that comes with experience. They greeted you politely, if a little stiffly, introducing themselves one by one before falling back into an easy rhythm of conversation that didn’t quite include you.
You didn’t take it personally. They weren’t being unkind or intentionally cold. It was just the natural awkwardness that came with a new arrival—especially one as young as you, dropped suddenly into their already well-formed circle. They didn’t know you yet. That would come with time.
At least they were civil. That alone was a relief.
Back at your previous academy, competition had turned the other girls into enemies. Whispers behind backs, sabotaged shoes, icy glares in the mirrors—it was a toxic place that made you question your love for dance. But here? The air felt different. More mature. Healthier. Safer.
You could handle being the outsider for a little while longer, as long as respect remained part of the equation.
And so, when class ended and you washed up quickly, put on your uniform, and gathered your things to head to your first afternoon at Eunjang High, your nerves buzzed with a strange blend of anxiety and cautious hope.
You had survived the first half of your day.
The next part, however—was still entirely unknown
As soon as your feet hit the pavement, a chill ran up your bare legs. The bus doors closed behind you, and you stood there for a second, staring up at the towering gray building of Eunjang High School. It honestly looked more like a prison than a school, with its cracked concrete walls and rusted metal gates. You hugged your blazer tighter around yourself.
You could still hear your father’s voice from last night’s call echoing in your head: “Stay out of trouble. Don’t talk to anyone unless absolutely necessary. These boys aren’t your friends.”
You wanted to believe he was just being dramatic… but as you stepped through the gates and onto campus, you weren’t so sure.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
Chaos greeted you like an old friend
Boys were everywhere—some shouting, others chasing each other through the halls like it was recess, not school hours. Someone threw a water bottle across the courtyard. Another boy ducked just in time to avoid a roll of toilet paper flying through the air. You grimaced at the sight.
You felt your breath hitch. This was going to be hell.
A quiet voice at your side made you turn. “This way.” The speaker was a boy, small with thick glasses framing his face. He didn’t meet your eyes as he spoke, just kept walking, hands clutched to his backpack straps.
“I’m Seo Juntae,” he added shyly. “We’re in the same class—1-5.” You nodded, falling in step beside him, grateful for the guide. At least one person here seemed sane.
“The teacher should be waiting already,” Juntae mumbled as you reached the classroom door. “You’ll be fine, probably.” He gave a nervous little smile and pushed the door open.
Probably?
Inside, it wasn’t much better.
The classroom buzzed with noise. Some students were arguing over who’d stolen whose eraser, while others leaned out of the windows shouting at someone below. A few boys sat on desks instead of chairs, and more than weren’t wearing their uniform properly.
You felt every gaze turn your way as you stepped in.
A few low whistles rang out from the back. Someone muttered something you didn’t catch, followed by a burst of laughter. You fought the urge to turn and leave.
“Quiet down,” the teacher said firmly, standing up from his desk. He was tall and slightly hunched. “This is our new student. I expect you all to treat her with respect.”
He smiled at me. “Please introduce yourself to your classmates.” Swallowing your nerves, you turned fully, facing the other students.
“Hello, my name is (Y/N). It’s nice to meet you all. Please take good care of me.” You said, bowing politely.
The room fell quiet for a moment, then:
“I’ll take real good care of you, if you let me.” Someone said from the back. A few more snickers followed. You flushed but stayed silent, keeping your face blank. You couldn’t say that you didn’t expect that.
“Enough.” The teacher snapped, glaring in the offender’s direction. “Y/N, you can sit next to Yeon Sieun. He’s by the window. Put your bag in the lockers in the back.”
You made your way down the aisle, trying not to meet any of the stares that followed you. The boy you were assigned to sit next to didn’t acknowledge your presence, not even a glance as you slid into the chair beside him.
As you settled into your seat, you quickly adjusted your skirt, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. You focused your gaze on the teacher.
You had to remind yourself that this wasn’t about making friends. Your ballet and your studies were your priorities. Everything else was secondary.
Taking a deep breath, you forced yourself to focus on the lesson. The teacher, Mr. Yoon, was talking about social studies—something about historical figures and their influence on modern society. The words blurred together as you tried to push your thoughts aside, diving into your notes with the intensity you’d developed over the years.
It wasn’t easy. The whispers around you, the occasional chuckle, the glances…there was no escaping it. You heard the boys behind you muttering and laughing quietly, but you couldn’t make out the words. You didn’t want to.
The boy next to you, however, remained silent. Yeon Sieun hadn’t spoken a word since you sat down. He acted as if he didn’t care about you at all, like you hadn’t entered the room. You were weirdly grateful for that. The less attention you could get here, the better.
Social studies were now done. Mathematics were next. You sat quietly, shoulders tense, eyes fixed on the chalkboard as you copied the teacher’s writing. You were trying your best to blend in. Head down, mouth shut. Only three classes to go. Just three. You could survive this.
You glanced at the board again, where a string of complicated equations still glared down at you. Math had never been your strong suit. You were going to have to study harder than ever to keep up.
A tap on your shoulder made your heart skip.
You turned slowly, wary.
“Hey,” said a boy with a crooked smile, his tie hanging loose and shirt stained at the collar. “Got another pencil? Mine broke.”
Your stomach twisted. Something about his tone made your skin crawl. Still, you managed to nodded and offered him what you hoped was a polite smile. You pulled a pencil from your case, and handed it to him. “Keep it.”
You turned back around before he could say anything, silently praying that would be the end of it.
It wasn’t.
Another tap. You inhaled sharply through your nose, willing yourself not to react. You turned.
“Got an eraser?”
Without mentioning that there was one attached to the end of the pencil, you just grabbed your spare eraser and dropped it on his desk without looking at him.
Surely, that would be enough.
But you felt it again. A third tap.
Annoyed now, you spun halfway toward him. “What?”
He grinned, leaning forward. “Can I get your number too?”
A burst of laughter came from behind him. His friends fist-bumped like they’d just witnessed something brilliant.
You blinked, the question hitting like a slap. Your lips parted, but no words came. You just turned back toward the front of the classroom, disgust curling in your chest.
Pig.
The snickering didn’t stop. The teacher, annoyed at the growing noise, shushed them harshly.
You stared at the board, eyes blurry with shame and frustration. You should’ve known. Of course he didn’t want a pencil… You clenched your jaw and forced yourself to keep writing.
When the bell rang for lunch, the teacher dismissed the class and left before most students were out of their seats. You packed slowly, hoping the room would clear before you had to walk through it. As you reached for your last book, a shadow fell over your desk.
You could read his name tag now.
Hyoman.
He loomed close, too close. “So,” he said, voice low and smug. “You’re gonna give me your number or what?”
You looked up. His posture reeked of arrogance, and the heavy scent of sweat made your nose twitch. You pushed your chair back instinctively, putting space between you. “I don’t give out my number,” You said firmly but politely, smoothing your skirt and standing.
A chorus of oohs erupted from his friends and Hyoman’s grin vanished.
He stepped closer, and something in his eyes changed. Gone was the teasing gleam. In its place was something colder. More entitled.
“You’re gonna give it to me though,” He said, voice sharp. “I’m not asking. I’m telling you.”
Your pulse spiked. Hands clammy, you forced a calm expression. “I really can’t. I’m sorry.” You lowered your eyes, trying not to provoke him further. “Please, excuse me.”
You tried to step around him, but he grabbed a fistful of your hair and yanked you back, hard.
You gasped, pain flaring at your scalp. Your back hit his chest and you froze, heart slamming against your ribs.
“Listen here, bitch,” He snarled, his mouth near your ear, breath hot and sour. “You don’t get to say no to me. I was nice. Now you give me your number, or I’ll take it out on you in ways you won’t like.”
Still frozen in shock, your breath was caught somewhere in your throat. You were just about to cave—just about to say something to make it stop—when a chair scraped loudly against the floor. The sharp squeal cut through the chaos like a blade.
“Don’t cross the line.”
The voice was quiet. Almost too quiet, but something about it made every sound in the room stop.
No yelling. No rage.
Just a thread of quiet authority that made the air go still.
You didn’t dare turn to look, still locked in Hyoman’s grip. But the tension around you shifted.
“Fuck off, Yeon Sieun,” Hyoman spat. But his voice faltered at the end, cracking under pressure. Still, he yanked harder on your hair, and you let out a strangled sound as fresh pain bloomed across your scalp. “It’s none of your business. Stay out of it.”
A pause.
Then, calmly, Sieun said, “This is your only warning.”
Click.
The sound was soft, like a pen snapping into place.
Strangely, the sound alone was enough to make Hyoman freeze behind you. His entire body stiffened like a wire pulled too tight.
No one laughed. No one moved.
Click.
Again. That sharp, quiet snap.
Someone whispered, “Shit” under their breath.
And suddenly, Hyoman let go of your hair. Just like that. He shoved you away roughly as if to save face, but there was fear flickering behind his eyes now. You stumbled forward, catching yourself on the edge of a desk, one hand going to your aching scalp. “I was just playing,” He muttered, voice small and strained. His hands lifted in mock surrender, but it was all performance now.
He walked away quickly, dragging his pride behind him as his friends trailed after him.
Blinking away tears, you now took the chance to look at the student who had came to your help.
Yeon Sieun stood there like he hadn’t moved at all. His uniform hung a bit too loose on his frame. His dark hair fell into his eyes, shadowing the expressionless mask he wore.
But it was his eyes that caught your attention.
Sad. Hollow. Tired.
Not the kind of tired from a long day, but the kind carved from sleepless nights and things too heavy for someone his age to carry. He looked distant, detached, like he wasn’t really here at all. The pen in his hand was held like a weapon.
With a slow, almost mechanical motion, he slid the pen into the inside pocket of his blazer. Without sparring you a glance, he turned, walking toward the door as if nothing had happened.
“Thank you.” You said before he left completely, your voice unsteady, barely more than a whisper. “Thank you, Yeon Sieun.”
He paused. Without a word, he turned slightly, just enough to acknowledge you with a sharp nod, then left.
And that’s how everything began.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
Most of your days were now spent going to ballet classes and hanging out with Sieun and his friends whenever you weren’t busy with your online classes. You would eat regularly with him, Juntae, Bakua, and Gotak. Even though Sieun didn’t talk much, you appreciated his calm presence, especially since the others could be a bit … much. Not Juntae though. He was a sweetheart.
It only took a few days for you to feel like you fit in with the group. While your father might disapprove of your new found friends, these guys had shown time and time again that they had your back in a way that none of your previous 'friends' had.
Five months had passed since your arrival at Eunjang High School, and things were going better now. Your ballet classes were going smoothly, you were doing well in your online classes, and now that you were close with Baku and his friends, no one dared to bother you. Plus, they were all terrified of Sieun and his pen. After hearing the stories from Gotak, you couldn’t say you didn’t blame them.
For the school classes, everything was fine, except for mathematics, which wasn’t surprising. You were very thankful that Sieun was taking some of his time to help you study. More than once, you would found yourself staring at him instead of listening to his explanation.
He was rough around the edges at first, but once you really started to know him, it was clear that he hid a lot of what he really felt.
It felt like a small victory every time you managed to pull even the faintest smile from him. You were sure you'd seen it twice. Once for real, and once when the corner of his lips twitched like it wanted to. It was rare, fleeting… but beautiful. Seeing even a glimpse of happiness on his face—however brief felt like sunlight breaking through clouds.
There was a quiet heaviness that always clung to him, a kind of sadness that never quite left his eyes. You remembered the night he opened up—told me about his old friends and how everything fell apart. You knew he hadn’t told you everything, only the outline of it, the parts he could bear to say out loud.
Sieun didn’t open up easily, and you didn’t push him. But even from that glimpse, you could see how deeply the guilt had rooted itself in him. You wished you could take some of that weight off his shoulders. Maybe if enough people kept on reminding him that it wasn’t his fault, he might start to believe it too. Someday.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
You met up with Baku and Gotak at your usual spot near a quiet corner shop downtown. The air had a sharp bite to it, the kind that crept under your clothes and settled in your bones. The sky was a dull, steely gray, and the wind whipped through the streets, rustling the fallen leaves that hadn’t yet been swept away. The chill in the air was a clear sign that winter was closing in fast.
You pulled your jacket tighter around yourself, trying to trap in whatever warmth you had left. “I hate the cold,” You mumbled, already shivering as your breath came out in faint, misty clouds.
Baku laughed. “I can warm you up if you want to.” He teased, dancing towards me like a complete fool.
“Gross! Get away from me, you big brute!” You halfheartedly exclaimed, giggling a little as you pushed him away.
“What’s going on?” A voice said behind you.
You turned quickly, the smile still lingering on your face until you saw Sieun standing there beside Juntae, his expression unreadable but eyes fixed on us. There was a flicker of something in his gaze. Confusion, maybe, or something else you couldn’t quite name. You stepped to the side a little bit, creating a circle with everyone.
Gotak shrugged. “Nothing special. Just Y/N breaking Baku’s heart again.”
Baku whipped invisible tears from his eyes. “If this goes on, I might actually start to think that you aren’t interested in me, Y/N. Stop pushing me away.”
You only hit his arm, a smile of amusement still tugging on your lips. “You’re stupid.”
Sieun suddenly coughed and adjusted his hoodie on himself. You looked at him then, but he avoided your gaze, looking to the side with a bored expression on his face.
Juntae, bless him, stepped in before things got awkward. “Does anyone want anything in the store?” He asked pulling at the fogged-up lenses of his glasses with one hand.
“No, thank you.” You declined politely, looking down. You were suppose to follow a certain diet for ballet, and you were already toeing the line with the calories you’d allowed yourself for the week. Thankfully, the food at the cafeteria had healthy versions. The real issue was back at your apartment were snacks were always within reach and boredom made them way too tempting. You were trying hard to get it under control lately. “I’ll wait here.”
“Can you bring me some shrimp crackers?” Pleaded Baku, bathing his eye lashes dramatically. “I’ll pay next time!”
Juntae nodded, a small smile on his lips as he entered the shop. “I don’t know what I want. I’ll go have a look.” Said Gotak, entering as well.
Sieun stood next the entrance of the shop. For a split second, he looked straight at you. His eyes, dark and tired, held yours for a few seconds longer than you expected. Your breath caught a little, but then he glanced over your shoulder at something—or someone—and the moment broke. Without a word, he turned and stepped into the shop after the others two.
The cold wind nipped at your face, but it wasn’t what made you shiver. You stood there, arms wrapped tightly around your body, watching the door slowly swing shut behind him.
You turned back towards Baku, who looked like he was seconds away from bursting into laughter.
“What is it now?” You asked, already dreading his answer.
“I’m just wondering if I should ask him if he’s carrying a pen with him tonight.”
You recoiled, looking confused. “What? Why would you ask him that?” Your voice rose in disbelief.
He gave a dramatic shrug, puckering his lips like he was trying to look thoughtful. “Oh, I don’t know? Maybe because he just gave me the look.”
You shoved your hands into your jacket pockets, trying to preserve whatever warmth you had left. “The look? Really?” You rolled your eyes. “What does that even mean?”
Baku grinned, eyes gleaming with mischief. “Come on, Y/N! You know exactly what it means. It’s that thing his eyes do when he’s trying not to lose it. Just for a second, it’s like you get a peek inside his brain. His eyes were practically screaming at me.”
You scoffed, tilting your head to the side. “Yeah? What were they saying then, oh great Eye Whisperer?”
He smacked his lips, pretending to deliberate. “Hmm… I don’t know if I should tell you. It might scare you.”
You crossed your arms over your chest, rolling your eyes again. “Just admit you’re making things up and talking out of your ass.”
He snorted, raising his hands in mock surrender. “All right, all right. You asked for it.” He leaned in dramatically, crouching slightly to meet your gaze. “I think our little Sieun has a big, fat crush on you and he was mentally murdering me with his eyes earlier because he was jealous.”
You stared at him, heart skipping a beat, mouth slightly open until you quickly shut it. “Stop speaking nonsense,” You muttered, shoving him hard in the shoulder. He stumbled back, unfazed, laughing so hard he had to wipe actual tears from his eyes this time.
“It’s not funny, Baku!” You exclaimed, still flustered. “You can’t say things like that.”
He calmed down a little bit. “It’s true though. I’m not lying.” He shivered, pulling his hoodie tighter. “Everyone sees it. He’s not exactly subtle, Y/N. Around you, he… speaks. That’s already saying a lot.” He wiggled his brows at you.
“He speaks to you guys as well, don’t be dramatic.” You looked away, trying to focus on the foggy shop window instead of the chaos Baku had just stirred in your chest. “You’re reading too much into things.” You muttered, but even you didn’t sound convinced.
It was true that over the past months, Sieun and you had gotten a bit closer. It just felt easy talking to him. At first, he’d simply stare blankly at you while you rambled on about your day at the academy. He wouldn’t say much…just the occasional nod as if he were barely listening. He seemed completely unapproachable, like there was some invisible wall around him that you could never quite break through. But slowly, you chipped away at it. By the end of the second month, he actually started listening. He’d sometimes ask questions, offer advice where he could. He even started helping you occasionally with mathematics after you broke down in tears over your mock exam grade.
Since then, even though he still mostly stayed quiet and distant, his presence never left you feeling completely alone. It was strange, but also comforting.
Your cheeks burned now, and it wasn’t from the cold. “Can we drop this, please?” You said as Baku was opening his mouth again. “He doesn’t treat me any different.” You spoke firmly, now too shy to meet Baku’s gaze. You couldn’t shake the feeling that he might see something in your eyes that you weren’t ready to face yet.
Before Baku could say anything, the door to the shop creaked open, and the rest of the group stepped out, carrying bags. Juntae handed Baku a bag of chips, and without missing a beat, Baku ripped it open, shoving a handful of chips into his mouth. He spared you a quick look, his grin still wide. You shifted uneasily, still feeling the weight of his teasing.
“Let’s go everyone.” Called Gotak, already heading towards the karaoke room with a purposeful stride. “Let’s not stay outside longer than we should.”
The walk between the karaoke room and the store was short, but with Sieun walking silently by your side, it felt much longer. The air between you two was thick with unspoken words.
You tried to focus on the sound of Gotak and Baku’s bickering when you felt something press into your hand. Looking down, you saw Sieun offering you a piece of triangle Kimbap along with a hand warmer pouch.
He kept his gaze straight ahead, as though nothing out of the ordinary had just happened.
“Sieun,” You said softly, touched by his quiet gesture. “Thank you.”
“It’s nothing,” he replied nonchalantly, not meeting your eyes. He shoved his hands into his pockets, maintaining his usual cool composure.
You decided to put the hand warmer in my pocket, saving it for when you would head back home . “I’ll give this back to you though.” You returned the Kimbap piece in his opened hand. “I can’t eat it.”
He stopped walking, and finally, his eyes met yours. For the first time in a while, you noticed how much better he looked. The dark circles under his eyes weren’t as prominent anymore, thanks to Juntae’s magnesium supplements. “What do you mean by that?” he asked, his expression slightly confused. “It’s the flavor you like, no? Spicy chicken?”
Always so observant.
“Yes, it is,” You replied, walking again and feeling his presence beside you. “But I can’t eat it tonight.”
“Oh.” He furrowed his brows. “Are you not feeling well? You should have said so if that’s the case. We could have rescheduled.”
You gave him a tight-lipped smile, feeling suddenly uncomfortable talking about this. “It’s not that. I’m pretty sure I’ve gone over my calories for the week. I can’t eat anymore today.”
Before you could take another step, Sieun’s hand landed lightly on your forearm, stopping you in your tracks. The look on his face was incredulous, the biggest expression I’d seen from him in a long time, if ever. It was almost enough to make you laugh.
“You can’t be serious right now, Y/N.” He said, his voice low and almost… protective?
“Sieun,” You sighed, exasperated. “I’m not starving myself. Calm down. I’m just counting my calories to stay on track.” You suddenly felt a little uneasy , like you were exposing too much. “You know I’m a ballerina. It comes with the hobby.”
He only blinked. “I understand that, but a single piece of Kimbap won’t make much of a difference anyways. If your body feels hungry, you should eat. Everything is good in moderation.” He handed you back the black triangle. “Please.”
Reluctantly, you took the food and put in inside of my pocket. “You win.” You rolled your eyes, trying to act as if you didn’t care, but deep down you were touched by his concern. He was always acting so cold, but he was warm-hearted. “ I’ll eat it at the karaoke.”
Your heart felt strangely lighter now, though you still couldn’t explain why. Maybe it was the simple act of him caring, even in the smallest way. You smiled to yourself.
“What are you guys talking about?” Ahead of us, Baksu had also stopped his walk and had turned around to watch us. His eyes were sparkling with amusement and you hoped that he would keep his mouth shut.
Without responding to his question, Sieun and you both continued walking, side by side, your steps quiet as you neared the karaoke building.
Once you were close enough, Baku threw his arm around Sieun’s shoulders, pulling him close in a playful manner. He was grinning like a cat who had just found a mouse. You went ahead of them to enter the establishment, not wanting to hear the nonsense that was sure to come out of his mouth. You climbed the stairs rapidly, eager to join your other two friends and escape the awkwardness.
“So, I don’t get any of your precious Kimbap?” Baku teased in Sieun’s ear, his voice light, but with that edge of knowing exactly how to push Sieun’s buttons. “I thought we were friends, man. You’re gonna make me beg for it?”
Sieun stiffened, but only for a second. He didn’t answer, his face completely blank of emotion. He on gave a single glare as he shrugged Baku’s arms off with a slow, effortless motion.
“Don’t touch me,” he said flatly.
Only Baku could see the faintest flush spreading across Sieun’s neck.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
The triangle Kimbap was indeed delicious. You ate it in three single bites. While Juntae, Baku, and Gotak were singing their hearts out, Sieun and you were relaxing in the seats behind, content with watching. The room was dim, lit by rotating colored lights that swept across the walls in soft pulses—pink, blue, green—giving the whole place a dreamy glow. The screen was huge, displaying lyrics in bold font, while a score in the corner judged every note. You giggled at Gotak’s poor attempt at the Wonder Girls choreographer for the song “Tell Me”. His shoulders bounced like jelly, and Baku’s dramatic backup dancing wasn’t helping.
Sieun let out a quiet breath beside me. Not quite a laugh, but close. His arms were crossed, eyes half-lidded in his usual indifferent way, but you caught the subtle curve at the corner of his lips.
“You know,” You whispered, leaning a little closer, “You almost smiled just now.”
He glanced at you, and for a second, our eyes locked in the flickering lights. His expression was unreadable, but not cold. Just… careful.
“I didn’t,” he said softly.
“You did.”
He looked away, pretending to be more interested in the screen than you. “You’re imagining things.”
You giggled softly at him, eyes sparkling.
You let the silence hang for a while, watching the others collapse in laughter as Juntae hit a tragically off-key note and the karaoke machine scored him a humiliating 58. Your shoulder brushed lightly against Sieun’s, and you didn’t move away.
Neither did he.
For a long moment, you just sat there, side by side in the dim, glittering room, the noise around you fading into the background. The others were loud, off-key, ridiculous—and perfect. But here, in the stillness between songs, with the soft lights brushing his cheek and his presence warm beside you, something delicate hung in the air.
A feeling of melancholy suddenly came over you. You hadn’t felt this kind of friendship, ever. You never felt understood. Not at home. Not at school or at the academy… But here, with your friends… You had found your people.
Beside you, you felt Sieun shifted and you look over to see him already staring at you. His eyes… you could get lost in them. You cleared your throat, leaning slightly to make sure he heard over the loud music. “Are you alright?”
He nodded. “What about you? You seemed somewhere else.”
You shrugged, taking a deep breath in. “It’s nothing. I’m just being a child.” You took a sip of water.
Sieun was silent for a while. He just kept looking at you, quiet, unblinking—like you were something worth paying attention to. It made your heart beat faster
“You can tell me, if you want. I’m the least likely in this room to go around telling everybody.” He finally said, shrugging his shoulders.
A small delicate laugh escaped you, and your imagination could have fooled you into seeing a softness entering Sieun’s eyes. You looked down suddenly embarrassed.
“I was just being sappy.” You muttered, tucking a loose strand of hair behind your ear. Letting out a deep breath, you finally let the words spill—the ones you’d been holding in for far too long.
“I’ve never really had friends like you guys before.” You said quietly, eyes fixed on the screen ahead. “It’s… kind of a new feeling. Being around people who don’t just tolerate me but actually enjoy having me around. It’s nice.”
You bit your lip, hesitant but too far in to stop now. “With my parents, I always have to be this perfect version of myself. The one that follows every rule, never talks back, never messes up. It's exhausting. I feel like I’m always performing for them. But here… I can actually make my own choices. I get to be me—no filter, no pretending.”
Your gaze drifted from your lap toward the others now, to Baku laughing about something with Gotak, Juntae nudging him with a bag of snacks in hand. “It’s the first time I don’t feel like I have to shrink myself just to fit in. It’s a relief not to always be worrying whether I’m too much or not enough.”
You hadn’t noticed the sting in your eyes until a tear slid down your cheek, then another. Startled, you wiped at them quickly, hoping Sieun hadn’t noticed. Your voice came out a little bit shaky, rushed. “Sorry. Told you I was being a child.”
Sieun didn’t respond right away. You expected silence—maybe one of his usual non-answers—but when you looked back at him, he was still watching. There was no judgment in his expression, no awkwardness. Just… stillness.
And his eyes.
They held so much sadness, so much depth, like the ocean. You stared too long. Long enough to forget what you had just said. Long enough to forget we were in a room filled with singing and ridiculous dancing. All you could see were those ocean eyes.
“I know that feeling,” he said at last, voice low. “Being around people, but still feeling alone.”
Your throat tightened. “It’s exhausting,” You whispered.
Sieun gave the tiniest nod. The glow from the karaoke lights painted faint purples and pink across his skin, and for a moment, you thought he looked almost unreal. His hair fell slightly into his eyes, and he didn’t bother fixing it.
He was pretty. So damn pretty.
“Do you ever feel like… no one really sees you?” You asked, almost afraid to hear the answer.
Sieun turned his gaze away briefly, as if the weight of the question was too much to meet head-on. Then, with the softest voice you’d ever heard from him, he said, “All the time.”
You reached over without thinking and lightly touched his sleeve. “I see you.” You said.
His eyes flicked back to mine—just a flicker—and something unreadable passed through them. Not quite surprise. Not quite disbelief. Maybe both. But underneath it, there was something tender. Shy. His lips parted like he might say something, but then Baku’s voice echoed through one of the microphones.
“Lovebirds in the back! You’re making us single people look bad!”
You jumped, pulling your hand away from Sieun’s arm like you’d been caught doing something forbidden. Heat bloomed across your face.
You were about to protest, but Sieun, for once, beat you to it. “Shut up, Baku,” he said, still calm but with a rare hint of embarrassment. His ears had gone red.
Baku only snorted. “Touchy!”
Juntae frowned between bites of leftover chips. “What did I miss? What happened.” Gotak blinked, eyes darting between Sieun and you.
You shifted uncomfortably in your seat, and Baku seemed to suddenly have some sympathy for you.
“You didn’t miss anything.” He said to both Gotak and Juntae. “False alarm. Let’s not make it weird.”
Without any more explanation, Baku marched forward and quickly cleaned up the trash left on the table in front of Sieun and you. The former was still glaring at him.
Noticeably, Baku made sure to take Gotak’s leftover ramen along with his chopsticks.
“I’m not risking my life tonight.” He whispered to you two, but mostly to Sieun with a wink.
Baku turned back around, snickering to himself. He gave Juntae’s shoulder a playful shake, hand already reaching for his bag of chips. “Back to the important stuff—karaoke and salty junk food.”
Gotak and Juntae still looked mildly suspicious, but Baku had already grabbed a mic and queued up the next song, dramatically clearing his throat.
With a resigned shrug, they both let it go, and soon the room was full of singing and laughter again—as if nothing strange had happened at all.
When Sieun’s knee brushed yours again, you didn’t move away.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
The group was still lingering outside the karaoke building, debating whether to get late-night ramen or just call it a night. Baku, as always, was still hungry.
“I’ll be right back,” You said quietly, pulling away from the circle. “I need the restroom.”
Juntae gestured vaguely. “There’s one beside the café next street—they let us use it last time.” You nodded.
“Don’t get murdered,” Baku called after you, half-joking.
“I’ll try not to,” You muttered with a laugh.
The city was quieter now, the glow of signs reflecting off the pavement. You turned down the narrow path between the karaoke place and the café, leading to the next street. You quickly head for the door with the bathroom sign.
That’s when you heard it.
“Well, well. Didn’t expect to see you here alone.”
You froze.
That voice—it sent a ripple of nausea straight through you. Slowly, you turned.
It was him. Hyoman.
From school.
He was leaning against the wall like the world owed him something. “I heard you were into ballet.” He said, looking me up and down. “Guess that means starving yourself and hanging out with losers, huh?”
You clenched your jaw. “Leave me alone, Hyoman.”
He stepped closer, not listening. “Or what? You’ll twirl away from me?”
His hand shot out, grabbing your wrist. “You act all quiet and high-and-mighty, but I know what girls like you are really like. You think you’re special. But you’re just fake.”
“Let go of me” You snapped, trying to pull back, fear creeping in.
He didn’t.
A smirk curled at his lips. “You still pretending to be all graceful and perfect?” he sneered, stepping closer. “Still playing the innocent card, huh?” Your eyes filled with tears, and panicked grounded you in place.
“You think just because you hang out with Baku, you’re safe now?” His eyes raked over you repeatedly, colder this time. “I bet under all that discipline, you’re just waiting for someone to mess you up a little. Isn’t that what you dancers want?” My throat tightened again.
“Let go of me,” You said softly, your voice trembling, breath caught in your chest. “Please.”
He leaned in, and you could smell the alcohol on his breath. “C’mon, just a little fun. Don’t act like you’re too good for it.”
And then, like lightning—
Sieun.
He grabbed Hyoman arm and yanked him back with so much force that the boy stumbled and hit the wall behind him with a grunt. For a moment, Hyoman looked stunned.
“She said to let go.” Sieun said. His voice wasn’t loud. It didn’t have to be. It was sharp. Direct. Steady in a way that made the hair on your arms rise.
Hyoman pushed off the wall, sneering. He stumbled a little bit, and you suspected that it wasn’t just because of the alcohol. “What, you gonna fight me? You’re just some freak who never talks. You think being quiet makes you scary?”
Sieun stepped forward without hesitation and shoved him again—harder this time. “Try touching her again,” he said, “and I swear I won’t just push you.”
Sieun’s eyes burned with something raw. Not anger, exactly. Something more dangerous..
Hyoman backed off, scowling. “You’re both crazy,” he muttered, spitting to the side before stalking away.
The silence he left behind felt suffocating.
You stood frozen, staring at Sieun. Your chest was still tight, adrenaline spiking through you.
He was breathing heavily. The fury slipped from his face when he saw your face.
“Are you okay?” He asked, stepping closer.
You nodded, but it was a lie. The moment you met his eyes—soft now, worried—you cracked.
“No.” You whispered.
He didn’t hesitate.
Sieun stepped forward and pulled you into him, his arms wrapping around you like it was the most natural thing in the world. He held you—not too tight, just enough to remind you that you weren’t alone.
And you broke.
The tears came fast. Hot, angry sobs that you couldn’t hold back any longer. You clutched his hoodie in your fists and buried your face against his chest. You couldn’t stop shaking.
Sieun didn’t say anything. He just stood there, solid and quiet, letting you fall apart in his arms. For someone who rarely showed emotion, he held you like he’d done it a hundred times. You melted into his warmth.
That was when you heard footsteps.
“Y/N?” Baku’s voice called, too cheerful at first, until it dropped with concern. “Y/N, what happened?!”
The rest of the group came into view, Juntae and Gotak behind Baku, who stopped mid-step when he saw you in Sieun’s arms.
Gotak blinked. “What the hell…?”
Juntae looked concerned. “Wait, is she crying?”
Baku’s eyes narrowed as he looked around. “What happened, Sieun?”
Sieun didn’t move. He kept holding you, shielding you with his body from the boys’ growing panic. You didn’t lift my head, not yet. You didn’t want them to see you like this.
“She’s okay now,” Sieun said, voice flat but firm. “Someone crossed a line. It’s handled.”
The others were still trying to piece together what had happened, but something in Sieun’s tone, something cold and sharper than they were used to, shut them up.
Baku muttered under his breath, something about looking for whoever did it. But he didn’t press further.
Sieun’s arms didn’t move until your breathing calmed. And even then, he didn’t let go until you gently pulled back, cheeks still damp.
There was no judgement on his face when you backed away.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
The walk back to the karaoke room was quiet.
No one asked questions. Not even Baku, who usually couldn’t stay silent if his life depended on it.
Sieun didn’t speak.
He just stood beside you in the quiet night air, his hands in his pockets, his expression unreadable as always—but there was a tension in his posture, like he was still on edge.
“I think I’ll go home,” You said finally, voice hoarse from crying.
Sieun looked at you, then gave a small nod. “I’ll walk you.”
“You don’t have to—”
“I know.”
But he came anyway.
The city lights flickered around us as we walked. The only sounds were the occasional passing car and the soft rhythm of our footsteps. You kept your eyes on the ground, the cool breeze brushing against your cheeks, hand warmer between your palm. You didn’t feel like talking, and Sieun didn’t push you to.
Halfway home, you glanced at him from the corner of your eye. His shoulders were slightly hunched, like he was carrying something heavy.
“I’m sorry,” You murmured.
He looked at you, confused. “For what?”
“For ruining the night.”
“You didn’t ruin anything,” he said, tone even. “Don’t apologize for something that isn’t your fault.” Wind ruffled through his hair.
“I was scared,” You admitted after a while. “Not just in the moment. Scared he wouldn’t go away. Scared no one would come.”
You let out a quiet breath, the words catching on the edge of your hesitation before you finally spoke. “I know you were scared too. But you still stepped in. You chose to protect me.” Sieun didn’t say anything, didn’t even look at you directly—but something in him shifted.
His expression remained unreadable, but his shoulders eased, just slightly, like some invisible weight had loosened its grip. “Thank you,” you said, gently.
There was a pause.
Then, barely above a whisper, Sieun said, “I’ll always protect my friends. No matter what.”
We walked the rest of the way in silence, but it wasn’t the kind that made you feel alone.
When you reached your door, you turned to him and gave a small smile. “Thank you… for everything.”
Sieun stared for a second too long. Then, awkwardly, he nodded, eyes flicking away.
“I’m just glad you’re okay.”
And before you could step inside, he added—barely above a whisper, “Text me when you’re safe in bed.”
You blinked. “You want me to text you?”
He rubbed his neck, trying to look nonchalant. “I just… want to know you’re okay. That’s all.”
Warmth bloomed in your chest, and you couldn’t help but smile softly.
“Okay”
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
That night, you kept my promise and texted him.
[10:42 PM] In bed. Safe.
There was a long pause before his reply came.
[10:47 PM] Okay. Sleep well.
Simple. Distant. But it made you smile anyway.
You curled under the blanket, still feeling the ghost of his arms around you, the way he had pulled you close without hesitation. It stayed with you long after you closed your eyes.
You dreamt of him.
Of Sieun.
Not the quiet, cold version of him the world knew. But the one you saw tonight—the one whose eyes burned when he saw you hurt, whose voice sharpened when he defended you, whose hands didn’t shake when he held you.
In the dream, we were alone again. But it was warmer somehow. Softer.
You stood beneath a streetlight, the city blurred around you. He stepped close—too close—and reached out to tuck a strand of hair behind your ear. His fingers lingered just slightly against your skin, and his eyes… they were locked on mine like I was the only thing that existed.
And then—his hand slid gently to your jaw. His thumb brushed your cheek.
He leaned in.
His breath touched yours.
And just before your lips met, you—
Woke up.
Your eyes snapped open. The room was dark and quiet, the covers twisted around your legs. Your skin felt hot and sticky.
You sat up slowly, pressing your hands to your cheek.
It had been so vivid.
Too vivid.
You groaned quietly and flopped back against the pillow, staring up at the ceiling.
What was wrong with you?
It was just a dream. Just a dream. Just—
But the image of his eyes, the sound of his voice, the way he held you like you were something precious… You pressed your palms against your eyelids. You knew, no matter how hard you tried, you weren’t going to forget it anytime soon.
You were screwed.

Been thinkin about Astarion + vampire biology so have some headcanons and the bits of game lore they're based on
Dialogue establishes that Cazador has been successfully passing himself off as a regular noble for centuries, and Astarion confirms that while he's considered a bit reclusive, he does mingle with the upper class of Baldur's Gate and has a property specifically for hosting fancy events.
Vampires are camouflage predators, whose primary hunting strategy is to blend in with their prey until the perfect time to strike. Their ecological niche is not a particularly safe or stable one - they live hidden in plain sight, usually in sizeable cities, for easy access to prey, but they know that if they are discovered they will be rooted out and killed or driven away. They are rarely able to get away with attacking in public, where city guards might rush to the aid of a screaming victim - they have to isolate their target before killing it. The ability to blend in, to be overlooked by their target, until it is too late is essential.
Cazador is, as far as we know, the only true vampire in Baldur's Gate
This is because true vampires are aggressively territorial. Like most apex predators, they eat a lot, and need substantial territories to support them - even moreso if they have a partner or spawns. Ascendant!Astarion would need to hold onto the entire city, as Cazador did, to be able to feed himself and Tav without raising suspicion.
True vampires are relatively rare, but there are more of them than there are cities, so it's not uncommon for one to set up in an occupied city and try to oust the sitting resident. The challenger usually believes himself to be as strong or stronger than the current tenant: these territorial disputes usually end in at least one death, so they're not to be entered into lightly.
Astarion is very obviously a vampire: his fangs are visible, as are his bite scars; he's so pale multiple people comment on it; his eyes are red, etc.
Astarion is not a healthy vampire.
This is a man who has been kept on the knife's edge of starvation and tortured regularly for 200 years, and to another vampire, that would be clear from the state of him: Astarion is a camouflage predator who is so malnourished he is no longer able to blend in.
Tav will get an up-close look at his transformation over the course of the game and during the years afterwards: the more healthy and well-fed Astarion becomes, as his body catches up on its immense energy deficit and begins to recover, the better he will be able to mimic a living elf. His skin will be able to bleed, or blush, or bruise, none of which he's capable of while actively starving. Hia fangs will retract until he needs them, not invisible but less obvious - having them out all the time is a response to severe deprivation; he's so hungry his body can't risk losing prey to the split second it takes Cazador to snatch a rat back, so he's permanently in bite mode, hyperaware, ready to strike. Some body functions will come online that he didn't even know he had, the ones that are supposed to help him blend in - his eyes will start producing pigment to look darker, less scarlet and more burgundy, to be more easily mistaken for brown; his lungs will make him breathe automatically even though he doesn't need it, he'll start being able to eat normal food without getting sick again, though he still won't get any nourishment from it; he'll heal faster. He'll even be able to get drunk, though he'll burn through it very quickly. As it stands, all those extra systems have been shut down by his starving body - they're useful, but nonessential, and he needs every single bit of energy funnelled into just keeping him alive and functional.
There is probably an intentional bit of psychological warfare against the spawns on Cazador's part here - him starving them strips them of their natural defences, and every time he makes them leave the mansion to hunt, they have to do so knowing that they're poorly hidden and vulnerable. But it's established that true vampires treating their spawn poorly or outright abusing them is A Thing, so it's not the only reason - he sees them as property rather than people, he keeps them weak so they won't plot against him, he's acting out his own trauma from Vellioth on them, he just wants to - but it does feed into it.
Astarion can, at one point, identify old blood as belonging to the player character. He also gets excited at another point if an enemy character runs away, stating, "Now it's a hunt."
He says that "even stale, [he'd] recognise that bouquet anywhere." This confirms a few things for us:
He has a vastly superior sense of smell capable of identifying individuals by scent and - since he can tell who the blood belongs to even after some time has passed - following scent trails.
This confirms that although city-dwelling vampires may primarily hunt via luring a victim to a secondary location before killing it, they still have the "stalk down and chase" predator instinct. Since Astarion can't lure wildlife anywhere, this is almost certainly how he's been hunting to supplement his diet when he's not using the player as his personal caprisun.
The fact that he can scent out prey before killing it means he has this ability all the time - he can smell blood while it's still safely inside the owner's body.
So scent is probably relevant to how vampires process the world. The more time each companion spends with him, the more he gets used to their scent, starts associating it more with safety and camaraderie than with a potential meal, and so he becomes more relaxed around them. As he learns to link the player's scent with love and comfort and trust, the more likely he is to retreat to their tent over his own when he's injured or afraid or having a trauma moment. When he's fond of someone, something of theirs will go conveniently missing - he's moving their scent into his little safe space, it's comforting for him. He can tell when his lover is hurt or aroused or frightened - though not which of the three applies - from a distance, because his sense of smell can pick up the spike of adrenaline rushing into their bloodstream.
But that also means that he can never feel like he's got any distance from Cazador while he's living in the mansion - even if the man isn't in the same room, the entire place reeks of him, and it makes Astarion feel like Cazador is breathing down his neck all the same. Ascendant Astarion would have a really, really hard time sticking it out in that mansion with stale Eau de Cazador all over the place. It means that he's put instantly on edge by the faint scent of one of his siblings as he walks through the lower city - when seven vicious, territorial apex predators are confined to a single small dormitory, several hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, fights are going to be nasty and frequent, and although Cazador wouldn't allow them to kill each other, considering how many of his siblings refer to him as weak or a runt, Astarion probably didn't win them very often. So. Having a highkey advanced sense of smell is a mixed bag.

Date Night Abduction
~~~
One-shot in which Danny and Jason are kidnapped by a cult on date night but somehow it turns out all right.
(And if you notice anything coinciding with last year's DeadonMAYn prompts no you didn't)
ao3 version
~~~ Danny and Jason both had busy lives. Danny was a full-time college student and worked a side job as a STEM tutor for high schoolers. Similarly, Jason was taking online classes for a literature degree and doing English tutoring, not to mention being a full-time crime lord/vigilante.
Luckily one of the perks of living together was they always came home to each other. However, this also meant they brought their stress and work home to each other. That's why they'd established early on to have at least one night a week dedicated to just spending some time together without any students, goons, or homework.
This week had been pretty hectic so they were both excited to go out on their date tonight.
And of course, that's when Danny and Jason were abducted by the cult.
They had wanted a night out to just relax and have some fun. There was a combination bookstore/cafe that had been running a promotional event, a Paint and Sip night with a twist. They'd be reading passages from some of their most popular books and then discussing and/or painting them. It was something fun where they could both enjoy themselves. But then they arrived to find out that the event was delayed because someone broke into the store two days ago and they were still making repairs.
Slightly disheartened, the pair decided to just walk around the area, hoping to find something else to do, or at least a nice place for dinner. Unfortunately, that’s when four cloaked figures burst out of an alley, ambushing them from behind.
They were able to get the two of them into chokeholds and cut off their airflow before either quite realized what was happening. The most Jason was able to gather before passing out was that this had been an attack of opportunity and the reason they hadn't attacked anyone else who'd been walking ahead of them was because none of them were a pair.
~
Jason's lungs ached as he came to, incense burning his nostrils. He groaned trying to blink away the blurriness from his vision as his head throbbed. Slowly, his senses came back to him and he could just barely make out the sound of voices chanting. He lifted himself onto his knees, hands tied behind his back, to find himself on a circular sigil drawn in chalk and salt. A few feet away was a similar circle with a familiar sigil, and in a center lay his groaning boyfriend who also seemed to be regaining consciousness. Between them, slightly behind (or was it in front of?) their circles, was an altar covered in a white cloth and asphodel flowers. There were about 20 creeps in dark green cloaks circling an even larger circle of salt and candles that encompasses them and their shrine thingy They moved rhythmically and chanted:
"Malfermu la pordegon. Alvoku la pordegogardiston, la reĝon. Malfermu la pordegon. Alvoku la pordegogardiston, la reĝon. Malfermu la pordegon. Alvoku la pordegogardiston, la reĝon....-" droned their monotone voices.
'That's Esperanto,' Jason recognized, translating the words. 'Open the gate. Summon the gatekeeper, the king.'
Jason paled in realization.
One cultist, presumably the leader, stepped forward, his long, deep purple robes flowing behind him. He held his arms out to the sides and made long zig-zagging strides following the rhythm of the chant, like some sort of messed-up dance.
Finally, he stopped at the alter between the two circles and dramatically brought his hands in front of him with a thunderous clap. The chanting paused and in a hoarse voice, the cult leader spoke.
" Finally, it is time."
The man unveiled something on the altar, an ancient carving. One of a figure that resembled a young man with swooping hair, a wispy tale below his torso, and a familiar logo on his chest.
It was Phantom.
Jason frantically made eye contact with a panicked Danny whose glassy blue eyes shone with fear and worry.
"Tonight we summon the High King of the In-Between! Tonight we summon the Guardian of the Gateway! TONIGHT! TONIGHT WE SHALL BIND THE KING OF SPIRITS! SO THAT HE MAY HEAR OUR PLEAS. SO THAT HE MAY GRANT US HIS GRACE AND ALLOW OUR LOVED ONES TO RETURN TO THIS REALM ONCE MORE!" The fanatic preached to his followers. He turned back around facing Danny and Jason once more.
"Blessed are we tonight, to have found the perfect pair to aid us!"
He raised a gnarled hand towards Danny, "A Vessel! For our Spirit Lord to inhabit!"
He turned, lifting his other hand toward Jason, " And his partner! An offering to bind and appease him! So that he may know the feeling of having a loved one! And that he may grant us his favor!"
The man pulled an ornate dagger from his waist and ordered out to the group, "Let us begin!"
The chanting resumed, louder now, and the man slashed his own palm. As he approached Danny, Jason struggled against his bindings. He wasn't able to get off his knees, it was as if he was being held there by some oppressive force.
The cult leader, who Jason had decided to call "Jackass McCreepy" in his head, lifted his hand over the rune circle that held Danny. The runes were meant to hold the King of the In-Between, which Danny technically was, hence his own inability to escape.
Good news: they didn't have to worry about Danny turning into a vessel for a spirit king because he already was said king (talk about a (un)lucky coincidence).
Bad news: Danny looked very different as a spirit king than as a human and this summon would probably force him to change.
Jason had never seen Danny's kingly form personally but he knew Danny didn't enjoy talking about it. He would always avoid or redirect the topic so Jason figured he was self-conscious about it. Now the bastards were gonna force him into it against will- And oh- oh, ew! That was gross!
Jackass Mc Creepy let the blood drip from his hand onto Danny's face. Danny shivered, goosebumps running up his back. He squeezed his eyes and mouth shut, futilely turning his face away from the blood. A single drop rolled down his cheek to the bottom of his chin before splattering onto the runes.
The chalk began to glow a pale green color. Beams of light grew upwards, slowly engulfing Danny's panicked form. The wind that came seemingly out of nowhere picked up. Jason could see Danny's silhouette begin to warp and grow. Jackass Mc Creepy dropped to his knees in reverence and the others soon followed.
Jason sucked in a deep breath. This was not good. He closed his eyes and concentrated pulling some of the ectoplasm thick in the air towards himself. With a rush of power and adrenaline, Jason broke free of his bonds and pushed out of his circle.
He immediately launched himself at Jackass Mc Creepy, tackling him to the ground and knocking him out with a nerve strike. He quickly turned on the other cultists as they slowly began to tear themselves away from Danny's transformation long enough to try and fight back. Unfortunately for these guys, they kidnapped the wrong vigilante.
Behind him, Jason could hear a distressed noise somewhere between a click, a wail, and a growl. He doubled his efforts. Taking down each cultist with ruthless efficiency. 'How dare these bastards upset his boyfriend! How dare they try to use him to what? Resurrect the dead?! The fucking audacity!'
Just then a sudden burst of power filled the warehouse. A harsh wind pushed outwards, knocking down a number of cultists and leaving several others frozen in a layer of frost. Jason alone remained unharmed.
Jason whirled around in search of his boyfriend. His gaze landed on the ruined circle of salt and chalk, which created a messy trail to a shadowy mass in the corner of the warehouse. Carefully, Jason approached not wanting to spook him. As he got closer he was able to make out a more defined form in the shadowy mass.
It was massive. Its body composed of a dark void freckled with pinprick stars and its hair was made of dancing trails of white light that floated upward off its head. It was somewhat humanoid and seemed to curl in on himself. The figure had four arms and a number of wispy appendages coming from his shoulders and torso that hugged himself, trying to condense himself and appear smaller. His face was smooth, lacking physical contours or blemishes, save his eyes. Oh, his eyes devastated Jason.
In place of his boyfriend's usual icy blues were two glowing orbs much like stars. From them, trailed rivers of blue-green cosmic dust.
'He's crying' Jason realized faintly.
Suddenly Jason found himself overwhelmed with rage once more. 'How dare those bastard force his boyfriend to take on a form he wasn't comfortable with! To make him show parts of himself he wasn't ready to share! How dare they make the sweetest boy in the universe cry!'
Jason was snapped out of his thoughts by more distressed clicking noises from his boyfriend. Jason reached a hand out, wanting to comfort him. But Danny recoiled, trying to squeeze himself further into the corner.
“I didn't want you to see me like this" his voice rasped like howling wind and echoed over itself in layers.
"I look monstrous. I am a monster. I- I hurt those people. You- ... you shouldn’t want anything to do with me.” He wallowed.
Jason continued forward undeterred. He placed his hand on one of his boyfriend's enormous shadow fingers.
“You’re not a monster Danny. You were scared and being forced into something you didn't feel comfortable with. You lashed out trying to protect yourself and that’s okay."
Danny leaned his large face down to look at Jason. He found no disgust or fear on his face. Only love and concern. Jason lifted his other hand, futilely trying to wipe Danny's cosmic dust tears away.
" And even if you were a monster, I’d be in no position to talk. I mean at least half those guys' injuries were from me. And- well you know what I was like after my resurrection. Some of the things I did- well ... I was pretty monstrous too.”
Danny crooned and clicked at him softly. He scooped the tall man easily into his palm and nuzzled his face toward him in a effort to reassure him.
“You were never monstrous to me, Jason. You were just adjusting to your new state of being. Becoming a revenant isn’t easy.”
Jason gave him back a wry grin, “Yeah well neither is being a halfa or ghost royalty I imagine, so cut yourself some slack too babe." He sighed leaning his forehead where Danny's cheek should be.
"I know you don't feel comfortable like this but I need you to know you would never scare me away.” He finished softly.
"Even when I look like The Abyss personified?"
"Even then starshine."
.
.
.
"For what it's worth I actually think you're still pretty hot like this babe."
"Jason!" came Danny's scandalized reply.
Jason merely laughed while Danny internally pouted. His boyfriend's audacity and lack of shame never failed to both astound and comfort him.
Jason found a phone on the body of a prone cultist and used it to contact Oracle and let the others know what happened.
"I'm sending B your way. What's Phantom's status?"
Jason glanced at his eldritch boyfriend.
"Still the size of a small house and beautiful."
Jason simply laughed as Danny clicked in protest and Babs gave him a long-suffering sigh.
"Cool it Casanova, just get him out of there before any cops show up."
"You got it O!" he chimed, hanging up the phone.
"Alright babe, try and shift back. I don't know about you but I think a night it with some romcoms and cuddles sounds good right about now. There's half a tub of Neapolitan and some cosmic brownies calling our names."
"Can we watch Wall-E?"
"Of course starshine."
~
Jason fell asleep that night with his arms wrapped around his (now once again normal-sized) boyfriend resting peacefully in his arms.

Less Than Three!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Oh, I just cant wait to get home from school. So I can get online and talk with my boyfriend!"
Characters: Satoru Gojo Type: Oneshot, NoCurse!AU, Fem!Reader
Inspired by the song Less Than Three by Disko Warp; also i'm using a 24 hour clock here for chat timestamps
Warnings: reader has no sense of internet safety but this is for fictional purpouses only, pls don't meet random strangers off the internet irl
Tumblr media
You sighed as you watched the seconds tick by on a nearby clock.
Ten minutes. Just ten minutes before I can finally go home.
This was the longest ten minutes of your life, as your teacher dragged on and on about whatever topic she was teaching today. You could care less about what she had to say though, your mind preoccupied with more important things.
When the bell finally sounded at 3:30, you shot up from your seat, hurriedly packing all of your belongings before rushing towards the front of the school. As you were changing into your outside shoes, you were stopped by a friend.
"Hey Y/n!"
You sighed as you stood up to face her, really not having the time to chat right now.
"Hello, Ume (randomly generated name)"
You quickly headed out the front doors, making your way to the gate of the school with Ume hot on your trail.
"The third year classes are headed to karaoke right now, y'know. You're coming, right?"
"Sorry, but I'm going home. I just have so much studying to do," you lied.
It's not like you could ever tell her the truth, since she would never believe you. Everyone knew you were a bit of a shut in, often opting to stay home and play video games all day instead of going out and hanging out like most other girls your age. You never left the house unless it was to go to school, so telling Ume about your online boyfriend was NOT an option.
Even if she did believe you, she would tease you relentlessly for it. Besides, you didn't know anything about this guy's real life. The only information you had was his given name.
Ume sped up in order to cut you off, stopping you in your tracks and placing her hands on your shoulders.
"Oh come on, Y/n! All you ever do is sit at that computer of your's. It's your last year of high school, live a little! And beides, I heard that cute boy thats crushing on you from class B will be there," she said, wiggling her eyebrows at you.
"Eugh, even more reason not to go. And Murayama is the farthest thing from cute!"
Even if he was attractive, he could never compare to the kind hearted boy you met on Final Fantasy XI Online.
"Fine, fine, I'll leave you alone now. But if you ever want to get out that room of your's, shoot me an email, kay?"
"Whatever, bye Ume!"
Tumblr media
The minute you got home you kicked off your shoes, ditched your school bag, and rushed up to your room, ignoring your mother's scolding for being so reckless. You quickly shut your door behind you before taking a seat at your computer and frantically logging in. Your eyes lit up as you spotted an IRC notification coming from a familiar username.
15:44:25 hoejoe69| Hello my beutiful princess
You smiled to yourself, swinging your feet back and forth as you typed your reply.
15:48:22 y/nnie | hey toru! :-D 15:49:01 hoejoe69| How was your day @ skool? 15:49:59 y/nnie | boring as always vv 15:50:11 y/nnie | I was thinking of u all day! 15:50:59 hoejoe69| Yeah I'm just kewl liek that B) 15:51:06 hoejoe69| What r u doing this weekend? 15:51:43 y/nnie | I don't have any plans 15:51:50 y/nnie | except talking to u ofc ^^ 15:52:00 hoejoe69| How about 15:52:06 hoejoe69| We talk in person 15:52:11 hoejoe69| Ur in Kyoto right? I can take the train 2 u
You felt heat rise to your cheeks as you processed the words on your screen. Did he really want to come see you? Flustered, you hastily typed out a response before jumping out of your chair and squealing.
Tumblr media
Satoru sat at his desk, eyes practically glued to his monitor as he slouched, nervously anticipating your reply after he typed out his message. Geto lounged on his best friends bed, mindlessly scrolling through MySpace on his phone.
"What's even the point in inviting me over if all you do is sit at that damn computer all day?"
"Shhhh, Suguru! This is important!"
The blackette sighed, rolling his eyes.
"What could be so important over there? Are you about to have cybersex or something? Seriously, Satoru, why don't you ever try talking to real girls."
"Y/n is a real girl...I just happened to meet her online! Don't hate me cus you aint me, Suguru!"
"There's nothing for me to be jealous of, I get plenty of play. Maybe if you weren't so nerdy, girls would like you too, just saying," Geto shrugs.
Satoru's eyebrow twitches at this, as he swivels his chair around to point at his current antagonist.
"Girls DO like me! They just don't get me, which is why I like Y/n and not them!"
The snowy haired male nearly snapped his neck as he turned to look back at his monitor upon hearing that oh so familiar ping!
15:54:33 y/nnie | I'd like that <3 meet u @ the station @ 1 | sat? 15:54:54 hoejoe69| See u then princess <3
Satoru was so elated that you accepted his offer that he didn't even notice his best friend had gotten up to peer at the screen over his shoulder.
"Gross. What if she turns out to be a 60 year old man?"
The blue eyed man jumps, turning to glare at his dark haired companion next to him.
"She's not a 60 year old man, I'm sure of it!"
"Whatever dude, its your life."
Tumblr media
It was currently 5 minutes before the train from Tokyo was scheduled to arrive in Kyoto, as you sat and waited nervously. No one knew you were meeting your FFXI boyfriend right now, and your thoughts were moving at a mile per minute.
I wonder if he's as handsome as his avatar. Maybe he's tall? Ooh, what if he dresses in street style!? I can't wait to see my Toru!
Your thoughts were cut off at the sound of the train tracks screeching as the train came to a stop. You excitedly stood up, holding the sign you made with his name on it in front of you. You had told him last night to look for it in order to find you.
You scanned over the large crowd of people exiting the train, before accidentally locking eyes with an electric blue pair.
Oh wow.
Whoever that stranger was was beautiful. He was tall, had beautiful, milky skin and the softest looking white hair. You had never seen someone so ethereal.
Wait a minute...he kind of looks like-
The stranger seemed to glance down at your hands, before looking back up at you with a wide smile painted across his face.
There's no way...
The beautiful stranger began to quickly approach you, squeezing through the crowd as you came to the conclusion that was undoubtably your Satoru.
You finally snapped out of your wide eyed daze as he got closer, opening your arms to him as he scoops you up into a tight embrace. He spun you around first, before placing you back on the ground and pulling away to look you in the eyes once more.
"It's great to know you really are a pretty girl instead of a 60 year old man, Y/n," he says in a smooth, comforting voice that was enough to make you swoon. You looked away bashfully as his wide smile turned into something more of a teasing smirk.
"You're not too bad yourself, Satoru," you reply, not being able to maintain eye contact as you looked off to the side.
He chuckled lightly at this, removing his arms from around you in order to gently grasp your hand in his much larger one.
"How about we get something to eat, yeah? Then you can tell me all about Kyoto."

𝕋𝕙𝕖 ℙ𝕣𝕠𝕗𝕖𝕤𝕤𝕠𝕣 | 𝕋. 𝔽𝕦𝕤𝕙𝕚𝕘𝕦𝕣𝕠
Maya is the daughter and the only child of the infamous gang leader and hitman Suguru Geto. She had started her second semester as a third year college student, but for the past year, shed been dreaming of this mystery man, tall, daunting, and dangerous. Every morning shed wake to an uneasy feeling, as if the dreams meant so much more. Walking into class, she sees him, and does shit take a wild turn.
Tumblr media
𝕀𝕟𝕥𝕠𝕩𝕚𝕔𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕟𝕘
It was now the next morning. Snoring softly next to you was the man who asked you to marry him just last night. You studied him as he slept. Curious as to why he thought that shit was ok to ask.
You just met him, there's no way he actually fell for you just like that, but then again you had fallen for him. But then again… that was different. And if he were to ever come in your dorm room he'd see just how many dreams you really had of him. You loved to draw so you sketched each and every one of those dreams , just so you wouldn't forget.
You continued to stare at the man while playing with the strings on his pants, testing waters again, but he was sleep- "Morning kid", you nearly jumped out of your skin, face beet red. "Jesus." You said flinching back.
He sat up and smirked, "you just looked so peaceful staring at me like that."
"How could you even tell, your eyes were closed."
"I felt your eyes on me, and you and your boldness never goes unnoticed." He smirked again, his scar twisting into the curve of his face.
"Yea yea now make me breakfast please."
---
About an hour later you guys had finished breakfast and were sitting around in a comfortable silence, when the man spoke.
"You know I meant what I said last night." You glanced at him briefly,"and what might that be Professor Fushiguro"
He picked you up and sat you on his lap. "Marry me", you slid back off walking to the bag you brought. "Listen here Edward Cullen i'd love to, but i've got a quiz for your class that I need to do before 11:59 pm or you're gonna give me a zero", he smiled "oh you'd love to huh?"
You twirled on your heel glaring at the man who was already chuckling in amusement. " You know that's not what I meant."
"But you said it." At your grown age all you could think to do in the moment was stick your tongue out at him, like a 5 year old.
That earned you an ear to ear smile. "Anyways, do your quiz....thennnnn marry me."
You sighed pulling out your computer to check the assignments for his class and the rest of your online courses. His was the only one you had work for, sitting quietly across the room Toji watched you, silently.
It was an intense stare, but no harm was behind it. Almost like he was trying to tell you something. You thought more about what he asked. Considering it. It just felt wrong to say yes, let alone even ask that.
You read over the quiz he gave, it was about the different types of blood spatters. You didn't even think about it before, but part of the way the forensics team finds out how someone dies is by the way the blood is spattered across the scene.
As you started the quiz, until you heard voices outside. It didn't alarm you at first, turning back to your computer, but then you realized the voices were coming from the window in the living room, the one facing the back yard. The yard that's gated.
Toji swiftly stood and cut the lights out, grabbing you and moving to another room before another thought even crossed your mind. You looked at him eyes wide with fear, mouth open trying to find words, but before anything could leave your mouth, the deafening sound of an assault rifle pierced the air.
Toji dropped to the floor with you strapped to his chest, knocking all the wind out of you, trying to get out of harms way. He shoved you under his bed and disappeared out of sight. The people outside sounded like they were trying to break down the side door in the kitchen. “Look do not move until I come get you, you understand?”, he asked in a stern voice.
You were trying to catch your breathe so you just nodded between shaky breathes. As soon as you nodded he bolted out the room. No longer hearing the sound of the guns going off; the silence in the home was even more deafening than when the shooting started, making your ears ring. You’ve been through this way too many times. Even though your father kept you out of his life you could count a few too many times the place you were in was ambushed like that.
You weren’t scared just shocked, half way joking to yourself that you hoped they didn’t shoot up your computer. And trying to breathe after that gigantic man just dropped his weight on you
What seemed like forever later but was really only about 30 seconds, you heard more rounds going off. This time from inside the house.
You hoped it was Tojis footsteps you heard hurdling towards you, not too long after the gunshots stopped. "Hey kid you ok ?"
"No Im not ok, you just wwe slammed my ass into the ground ", you whispered yelled at him. All he did was roll his eyes and drag you from under the bed. As he helped you up, sirens were coming from all directions.
It was going to be a long day.
---
It was now 6 pm, and you were safely back at home. Your uncle was beyond livid about the situation. Him and Toji sat at the kitchen table trying to figure out who those men were, why they did that, and how they knew where Toji lived.
Of course now your uncle knew that you knew about your dad being MIA, considering you were at Tojis house. He was picking up on other hints the few hours the three of y'all where together. Like the way his eyes lingered a little too long on your waist or how you watched his every movement through hooded eyes. Surprisingly he wasn't mad or shocked about it. He had caught you by yourself at one moment and said "he is a lot older than you Maya, but I've known that man my whole life, and if I trusted anybody with you, it would be him."
You weren't up for the "guy" talk especially not with Gojo, and you hated when he called you by your first name like sir please. You knew he couldn't tell you anything , you knew that, it doesn't take away from the sour feeling you had towards the white haired man.
You were cuddled up in your fluffy bean bag chair when Toji walked in. "Hey Satu wants you to stay here until we figure this out. Do you want to go back to your dorm to get anything?", you shook your head "nah, trust me I have enough crap here already, and i'm good on hygiene products, I come home often anyways so there's stuff here."
He lets out a low hum in understanding. He closed the door and locked it. "Can I stay here tonight pretty girl, i'm scared." You snapped your head towards him only to find him pouting his lip out at you making you laugh out loud, "Of course you can, but we need snacks."
He walked over to your sitting figure on your bed, hovering. "Yes ?", you asked quietly.
He bent down and slowly pressed his lips to yours, leaning his hands on either side of you, his lips moved against yours cautiously not wanting to hurt you. Your hands lifted to his face, stretching your fingers into his hair.
Oh ok, no snacks then.
His lips started to move a bit faster slightly pushing you further onto the bed. Grabbing your hips, he picked you up and held you in his arms and sat you onto his lap, never breaking the kiss.
He cupped your face, "you're so beautiful", he whispered against your cheek. Your hands found their way to his waist band. He grunted lightly, stopping you from going any further, " Not yet baby, let me have you, yea?" It was all you could do to keep your voice and moaning at bay, so you just nodded. He was circling your hips with his thumb, placing small kisses across your collar bone and then up your neck. He did this on both sides leaving your face red, mouth open in a silent "O".
"I could get used to seeing you like this sweet girl."
You let out in involuntary whimper as he shifted you on his lap. His hands wandered all over your body, first he cupped your ass and made the same circle motions he did on your hips, you where on cloud 9 swaying in his embrace eyes fluttering open and shut.
Next he places more wet open mouth kisses right below your collar bone, as his hands slide up your back, under the tank top you had on, causing you to shiver. He easily slid it over your head eyeing your breast. His eyes twinkled at the sight. He was right about the earlier thought he had of you having more piercings, cause staring back at him where little pink hearts through your nipples shining just perfectly for him.
"Oh fuck me" Toji whispered leaning into your body, sucking on the metal on your nipple. In this moment he didn't care about your age, his “job” or that his house was shot up only hours ago. All he cared about was this pretty little ray of sunshine sitting on his lap.
He circled your nipples with his tongue flicking the jewelry as he did so. You watched him through your low, lust filled eyes, your hands had been locked in his hair, but he dint seem to mind.
He littered your breast with marks and kisses. Still peppering pecks up and down your abdomen he lifted you slightly and placed you on your back in front of him. Lifting his own body he hovered over you staring into your eyes.
"Is this ok?”
Your eyes held all the answers he needed, pleading, begging him. You refused to open your mouth because then he'd know just how bad you had been waiting for him. He met you 36 hours ago yet the desire he felt for you was so overwhelming, he almost couldn't take it anymore.
He pulled your shorts off of you tossing them on the floor leaving you completely bare under his gaze. His head dipped low in between your thighs.
"Look at you baby, so wet for me." His words dragged out in a low rumble against the inside of your thigh.
And that did it for you, any composure you had before snapped and you no longer could take his slow antagonizing pace. Every inch of your body was in flames under his touch and he wasn't making it any better.
"Toji" you whined
"Hmmm" He new exactly what he was doing and he knew just how bad you wanted him in this moment, he just needed to hear it from your pretty mouth.
"Please Toji"
"Please what"
"Touch me please baby, I need you so fucking bad"
And with that his resolve gave away too. His tongue found your sensitive bud with ease swirling so gently. His eyes roamed the beauty that was attached to his mouth right now, taking in every small detail.
Your hands were clenched to the covers that laid wrinkled beneath you, turning your knuckles white. Every one of your piercings glistened under the moon light lamp you had in the corner of your room making you look absolutely ethereal.
Toji wanted to fuck you so bad, he wanted to feel how you wrapped around him, but he knew you were too gentle, with his size he couldn’t be too rough or he’d for sure hurt you. You weren’t exactly small or averaged size, he was just a lot bigger than you were physically.
Those whimpers you were trying to keep before had turned into a string of lustful moans as your hips bucked into his face. He eagerly circled his tongue tasting and feeling every inch of your silky insides.
You felt his tongue sliding around inside of you tapping your walls. At this point you were so out of it you were sure Gojo probably had left the house in disgust.
Your hands, again had not once left his hair gripping it from the literal scalp, he still did not give af.
His large hands were wrapped around your thighs lightly holding them in place as he devoured you in your childhood room.
“Fucking- helll Toji oh my god” You screamed out.
His tongue dipped inside of you again edging you towards your climax. Your hips rolling against his face causing him to pin you with one hand, forearm on your thighs, the other finding your soaking wet entrance.
Toji was in absolute heaven his, but he couldn’t have you not just yet.

My mind has just been swimming latly so I'm just gonna plop this here.
Enjoy this lil short for My Fluffy SCP (weather I make a more flushed out story I do not kn. )
In all honesty, you saw this coming. The orange jumpsuit, the cuffs on your wrists and feet so you couldn’t run. The soldiers holding their guns at the ready in case you tried to even consider escaping. All because of a few photos. But again, you new this would happen.
You signed the agreement when you were first introduced to this place after all. And in bright bold letters it told you the consequences of braking any of the rules. I mean this place was practically area 51. Housing creatures and objects they labeled as SCP's, with each having their own designated number.
You were down on your luck. Homeless, no family or friends. So when a stranger walked up to you offering a job with housing, food and pay how could you say no. Yes, it was sketchy as all fuck, but a warm hearty meal in the dead of winter was a tough bargain to beat. And all you were hired to do was clean.
Sure, you through up the first few times when you saw the bloody animal and human remains. But by the time of your 7th clean up of an enclosure. Your stomach was practically iron. It was also quite the cushy job since no one else seemed to want to do it. So you rarely had to deal with anyone bothering you as long as you got the place cleaned up in a timely manner, and didn’t leave anything behind.
But then you just had to screw it all up. All because your stupidity got the better of you. Taking pictures of some of the bizarre SCP’s such as SCP-999 or SCP-1762. Then posting them online. You figured it was as harmless as the SCP’s themselves, thinking most people would think their photo shopped or just plain origami dragons suspended by strings. And that was the case, till you posted one picture of a SCP that you rarely got to see. SCP-049, the plague doctor.
That day after you posted it, members of the guards stormed your room and you were dragged out in a matter of seconds.
Now here you sit on a cushioned table in your jumpsuit and chains as a woman in a lab coat takes your vitals. Both you and her acted calmly as if this was nothing more then a Dr’s visit but you knew that wasn’t the case.
That day when you were dragged from your room you were designated as a D-class personnel. Nothing more then food for the SCP's to eat and to be cleaned off the walls and floors. You almost felt more jealous then afraid for the new person who now gets to clean you off the enclosures.
If you were to be honest with yourself, you’d say you might have been in a state of shock as you lifted your arms and took deep breaths as the woman directed you. You guess the reality that you were about to die hasn’t fully kicked in yet. So when you were finally escorted from the room to the elevator, and still had a mind of clarity. You spoke up.
“Will it be quick?”
The woman looked at you, then at the clipboard she’d been carrying. You only catch a small shift on her face that you couldn’t decipher before she returned to facing forward as the elevator descended to the Keter-class levels.
You all step off and pass containment after containment, even passing under inactive tesla gates. You start to count each section you pass by, wondering which lucky abomination will be picking you from their teeth. Finally the woman who was at the lead comes to a stop at a door.
Seeing her using her level 4 access card, you suddenly get a short lived feeling of excitement. You had only ever cleaned areas that personal with level 3 access could allow you into. As frightening as most of the creature that are in here you couldn’t help but be completely enamored by its existence. The things that are here that shouldn’t even exist.
That honestly probably what drove you to take photos of them and share them. To show the world that these dangerous yet incredible things exist.
You roughly get pushed by one of the guards knocking you out of your stupor as you were gawking at the woman’s level 4 pass.
Right, you’re here to be food. Not to sight see.
Your pushed into a room adjacent to an observation room. The only thing separating the 2 being a thick glass wall. Inside you can see others in lab coats, looking through the observation window into the enclosure or typing away at a computer. Another thing you notice is a white board with, not 1. But 2 SCP numbers. And underneath each you see names, of whom you believe are the scientists with in the room.
You’ve seen this before. Usually to keep track of who’s using the SCP or who’s currently authorized to use it. Or maybe it’s to-
“So which one is your money on?”
You glance to the guards.
“I don’t know. I lost too much on my last bet.”
Ah. Their bets to see which SCP get to eat you…wait.. “2..SCP's?” You state out loud to yourself. The reality of your situation finally decides to hit you like a ton of bricks. So much so that you miss the glare the woman gives the guards and how your quickly ushered into the air lock.
The door closes behind you with a single guard and the woman. As the air lock hisses with sanitization, you try to think of what 2 SCPs that you know of with in the facility. That could possibly be in the same enclosure and not rip each other apart. You start considering it’s the 2 strange SCPs 053 and 682 when you suddenly feel someone breathe into your ear.
“To answer your question from earlier.”
Her feminine voice leaves a chill down your spine as the woman leans into your ear from behind you.
“they like to play with their food.”
You feel all the color from your face drain as the doors to the enclosure open and you are shoved in.
“hehe.. bye.”
You stagger on your feet and turn around only to catch a glimpse of the woman’s green eyes and dark smile before the doors close.
Standing there, frozen to the ground. The fear and reality of what’s bound to happen next solidifies in your mind. Your going to die in the next few minutes, and if the SCP's truly do play with their food. Your going to die in the worst way.
You stare at the door willing it to open again and let you out. For this to be nothing but a nightmare. But the feel of eyes on your back and a hot breath down your neck lets you know that’s not going to happen as a shudder goes down your spine.
A gravelly chuckle coming directly behind you that soon erupts into a husky laugh as it sees you tremble. But it wasn’t a dark laugh of someone about to kill you. No somehow it sounded just like those irritating laughs you used to get from jack ass’s who would give you rotten food when you were hungry. Or would steal from you at knife point.
That irritating kind of laugh that made your blood boil from its once icy cold. You knew this wasn’t some punk about to rob you however. It was a horrid creature that would most likely rip you limb from limb. But that laugh. It was enough to solidify your next decision. That you would punch this SCP at least once before it could tare you apart.
So whipping around with your eyes closed and your still cuffed hands held together. You swing at the creature with all your might, only to be met with what felt like silky fur. The chuckling had stopped for only a moment before starting up again with vigor.
You open your eyes, and your fire flickered out.
Before you stood a tall creature standing on its hind legs. It was lanky with a broad chest and long limbs. It’s, what your assume is slick fur, is a stunning mix of milky white and midnight blue with a fluff or plumage around its waist, and neck. It possessed a wicked set of claws and razor-sharp teeth to match. Teeth that it eagerly displayed in a wide grin that made its red eyes crease. On it head it had a long tendril that seemed to twitch and sway on its own, with a little bulb at the end.
Despite it hunching over, it still towered over you by several feet. It continued its chuckling as it grabs your cuffed hands and pulls them away from where you hit it. Clearly you didn’t phase it as it drops its face closer to your. It’s grin splitting wider.
Anyone else in the right mind in this situation would of pissed their pants already. And you definitely know you did once you saw how tall this mother fucker was. But then you noticed something that caught your eye. It’s face. It was circular like a disk with it being half milky white and half midnight blue. Yet the more you stare at it, the more you couldn’t help realize that it looked like-
“the moon?”
It freezes in the middle of opening its jaw and raising a claw to your face. It’s eyes were blown wide open, and after a few moments it sneers at you. It lowers its hands then proceeds to.. sniff you?
It makes an audible “bleck" sound while sticking out an inky black tongue before pulling away from you. It begins to pace back and forth in front of you on all 4s, yet still it stood over you even now that it was lower to the ground. It continues to glower at you while making a variety of gravelly sounds and chirps as if it was a chattering frustrated cat that couldn’t catch a bird.
As you watch it, confused by its sudden change of demeanor, you hear another set of chatter. But a much higher pitch. The additional chatter wasn’t as startling as the blue creature perking its head then turning it 180° around to face behind it. Was this thing part owl or something?
A conversation of chirps and chatter gos back and forth between the blue creature and another until you could finally see the owner of the higher pitched voice. A creature, similar to the blue ones build, comes prancing over. Standing tall on its rear legs. The only difference being its gold & cream colors, bright white eyes, and rather then one tendril. It has 7 that crowned around its head.
It chatters happily to the blue one, who you catch rolling its eyes, before coming up to you and crouching down. It’s smile widens at you and just like the other, it bears razor sharp teeth. But your then suddenly taken off guard when you notice it has a gap in between its front teeth. Of which pulls an uncalled for snort from you. This makes the gold creature rear back a bit surprised, before smiling wider and filling your ears with a variety of happy clicks and chirps.
It's glee was contagious as you couldn’t help but smile and chuckle at its this deadly creatures silly display as it shakes its head this way and that at you. But your mirth is quickly cut short, when it grabs you by your head. Its large hand that could easily crush your skull, firmly holds either side of your face. Your eyes widening as you become hype aware of its blade like claws inching unnervingly close to your throat.
“they like to play with their food.”
The woman’s voice vibrates in your head as a reminder that these creatures will kill and eat you at some point. This was most likely one of their games.
Your sudden silence must of caught the golden creatures attention, it flicks its head to the side a complete 90°. It chirps at you and you notice that the tendrils on its head start to sway and flicks like flames. Now that you thought about it. It’s face look a lot like a kids drawing of-
“The sun.”
Just like the blue one it freezes suddenly. Eyes wide and tendrils still. Not only it, but even the blue one looks at you with wide eyes. The gold one slowly releases your head before starting to, what looks like, vibrate. It smiles wide before turning to the blue one and starts chirping and trilling in what you could only assume was excitement. As it does its face drifts closer And closer to the blue one till finally it puts its palm to the golden ones face and shoves its away.
The golden one give a yelp as it falls backwards from the push and the blue one stalks forward with an eerie smile. It’s your turn to freeze as it get up close and personal to the point you could see the swirl above its right eye. It opens its jaw which just keeps going. Wider and wider like an angular fish till it could easily fit your head and it looks that it’s going to do just that as you start to tremble.
You just barely see the barbs in the back of its throat as it’s open jaw practically engulfs your entire head. You even feel the tips of its lower jaw prick underneath your chin and smell the iron on its breath. Its going to bite your head off.
You feel every drop of blood grow cold in your veins as you look into the mouth of your demise. You knew it was an inevitable yet you cant help but tremble and whimper as this thing fits your entire head into its mouth. You close your eyes. Maybe it will b quick. .
Snap!
The crack of its jaw vibrates through out the enclosure. Yet you didn’t feel a thing, Was it really that quick.
You peak an eye open then both, blown wide as you get an eye full of its sharp grinning teeth. Shut tight like a bear trap, not even an inch from your face. You crumble to your knees with a shudder as the sharp filling of fear trickles out of your body.
“They like to play with their food.”
Your reminded yet again of the sick woman’s words as you watch the blue creature fall onto its back and laughs. It laughs so hard it holds its stomach and kicks its feet. It only stops when it receives a sharp snap to the back of its head by the tail of the gold one.
You watch in frightened shock as the gold ones tail, of which you first thought was a ribbon, wraps back around its waist before coming up to you. Where it proceeds to pick you up from the back of your jump suit. Scuffing you much like a mother cat does a kitten, and with the spiking trickle of adrenaline leaving your body, you were practically limp like one.
It lifts to its full height where you see your feet dangle several feet off the floor. Then starts to take you further into their enclosure. But not before giving a growl towards the blue one that make a snap at your limp hand. Which causes you to recoil in on yourself hard. Tucking your feet and hands as close to your chest as you could.
Closing your eyes you hear the exchange of growls and chatter between the 2 before you feel yourself being moved again. Your dangle from the golden ones mouth for only a few seconds till you feel yourself being plopped onto something soft. As you dear to open your eyes, you find yourself sitting in a nest made of various twigs, feathers, fabrics, and fluff. The golden creature then wraps itself around you in a secure position of which you couldn’t escape. Not without climbing over it that is. As it settles, you chance glancing around but you don’t see much other then the creatures body & the white ceiling of its enclosure.
That is till you see a dark tendril with a bulb at its end sway into your vision. You shutter before looking up and seeing the blue creature looking down at you. You swallow. It gives a sharp look but quickly schools its mischievous grin when you hear a chirp from the golden creature. The blue one rolls its eyes before lifting a clawed hand to you face.
Instinctively, you back away from it as it grows closer to your face. But you soon become pinned against the golden creatures body as the blue one encroaches more into your space. Once again you shut your eyes fearing it's claws carving into your soft skin. Only to feel your nose get pushed against your face. You open your eyes as the creature chuckles while it boops your nose.
You give it an incredulous look as it slowly slips away. Chuckling and trilling as it fades into the shadow of the golden creature.
After a few minutes you start to hear soft snoring. You hesitantly look at the lax face of the golden creature, then at the rise and fall of its shadow from the blue creature. Your just able to sit up enough to see the one way window to the observation room. Slowly, you try and test if you can get up and over the long body of the creature. But as you lay your hand on its side to hoist yourself up. You feel it shift and yourself being yoinked back.
You fall back against the creature, wincing till you look up to see the golden creature looking down at you. It’s sleepy eyes studying you till it gives a big yawn, showing off its teeth. As it does its tail unwrap from around its waist and around your. It settles back down with you firmly against it.
It begins to softly snore again as it falls back to sleep with you trapped in its tails hold. Despite it actually settling you in a comfortable position. Your mind continues to spiral with the constant reminder that these creatures play with there food. Which made them that much more unpredictable they act nice and playful now but soon enough they will get hungry and you will be on the menu.
You feel yourself taking shallow panicked breaths but you cover your mouth not wanting to wake the golden creature again. However, as your silent panic grows, you don’t take notice of the red eyes staring at you.
As you try to control your breathing, you start to hear a gentle humming in your ear. You snap to attention and look around for the source but as you do you cant help your eyes feeling heavy. The soft humming continues and you feel your entire body grow heavy like lead as you slump against the gold creature. Eventually you lose the fight and the beckoning to rest consumes you.
The last thing you see being the blood red eyes of the blue creature as you fall into unconsciousness.

A few weeks ago, I flew to visit my grandma with my little brother and sister. My little brother had never been on a plane, and my sister only has once, almost a decade ago. It was an experience.
All three of us are in our 30s and neurodivergent¹. My little brother has Down’s Syndrome² and is probably autistic. He communicates mostly through echolalia³.
I suspected there might be challenges, so I tried to contact the airline before purchasing tickets. This did NOT work. The Westjet agents weren’t allowed to discuss anything with me until I had booked a flight. I was purchasing nonrefundable tickets. The website was quite clear that they could kick us from the plane if they couldn’t support our needs. And they wouldn’t tell me if they could support our needs!
I ended up calling around 8 times. Finally, after purchasing tickets and jumping through all the hoops, someone was willing to talk. They mostly said that everything was up to the people letting us on to the flight, but at least they talked to me!
My main concern was the pacing. My brother’s favourite activity is pacing in circles and repeating movie/song quotes to himself. Once we got on the plane things would be fine (we had movies for him to watch), but I was concerned that other passengers waiting to board would find this stressful. Like - that isn’t our problem, it’s their’s - but flying is hard! If there was a way for us to not add more stress, I wanted to find it!
The airline was zero help, so we did our best to prepare on our own. My uncle died the day before the trip, and that increased stress levels. My autistic sister was dealing with that, a sense of responsibility for my brother, and also anxiety about a mostly-new experience (flying).
-
And then the plane gets delayed.
By an hour, at first.
The airline said we should be there TWO HOURS early for domestic flights. Which is ridiculous. TWO HOURS??? Especially since everything before security can now be done online? But we obediently turn up two hours before the new flight time, and are immediately directed to the priority security line. Which is good. Even the short line is boring for my brother, and I can’t let him pace in the few open spaces. But ten minutes later we’re at our gate, ready to leave.
Now we just have to wait for an hour and fifty minutes!
We had hoped my brother would want to watch his first movie. But he's riled up from lines and crowds and gets right to pacing. A few people have to slow down as they pass, but he’s not hurting anyone, so I let him be.
I’m more worried about my sister, now. She lives with the aunt that found my uncle. She hasn’t slept in days, worrying about the trip. She isn’t handling the noise and crowds. So I keep an eye on my brother (at least 50% to make sure he doesn’t take some of the chocolate he keeps eyeing when he passes the gift shop), occasionally ask if he wants to watch a movie, and watch my sister slowly descend into a panic attack. Not fun. Eventually I send her to the bathroom, hoping that it will be quieter and she can calm down.
BUT! Events have happened during this time! The plane has been delayed another 15 minutes! It is explained that they have had to replace the plane with one they haven’t yet finished retrofitting. This new plane doesn’t have as much overhead baggage space. They need at least 15 pieces of carry-on luggage to be checked. If the passangers aren’t willing to do this, there will be large delays once loading starts, as people are FORCED to check their luggage. Also, there’s no first class on the new plane. Or charging ports. Or meals. Or in-flight entertainment. First class passengers can request some money back. And if anyone misses their connecting flight due to the delays, tickets to their new flights will be provided upon landing.
People start to get tired and stressed. The intercom keeps threatening them. Now it’s 30 bags that need to be checked. Delays will be even longer if this doesn’t happen!
At this point, security shows up. They ask if anyone will take responsibility for the pacing guy. I do. They show visible discomfort with the situation, and his disability. Can I make him stop pacing? I can try, but probably not. Please do that, it is bothering the other passengers. Oh? Really?? Who could have guessed that?!
My brother is NOT willing to sit down. We stand in the concourse, while I talk to him about sitting down and he makes annoyed sounds at me. I’m not about to force him. I don’t want us to get kicked out of the airport, but can they do that for something as minor as acting weird in public? Mostly, I’m worried about all our electronics, which I abandoned in the open when security showed up. I’m not sure if security will try something with my brother if I leave him to pace while I clean things up.
And now, the hero shows up. The head of security has been called, and he comes over and asks me if there’s anything my brother needs. No, there isn’t, he’s quite happy to pace. It’s everyone else that is being bothered.
“I don’t care about them. He has just as much right to this space as they do. I just want to make sure you guys have everything you need. Would he like a sensory package?”
He wouldn’t like a sensory package, but this guy’s offer of the chapel as a quiet space IS interesting. Mostly because my sister is off in sensory shut-down somewhere, and needs a quiet space. But also because I could relax a little nobody would be watching us, and I could relax if my brother had an enclosed room to pace in. (No chocolates!)
As I’m agreeing to this, my sister returns. Head of Security respectfully tries to explain the situation to her. I look at her hunched body language and tell him to just talk to me. Then I send her to pack up our stuff. He wants to Include Her. She really, really does not want to be included.
He also wants to Include my brother. It’s kind of cute. He’s overflowing with good intentions, but obviously hasn’t had a lot of chance to put them into practice yet. He’s incredibly respectful, but in ways that would work a bit better for people who are more interested in their own decision making than my brother. I’m charmed.
Another person shows up. She is introduced as the Accessibility Specialist, and we are asked if we’re okay with her support. Oh yes, I am very okay with this. After she gets caught up - and she reiterates that everyone else can suck it, my brother is allowed to inhabit this space how he wishes - we get ready to head for the chapel. But the plane is about to land. There probably isn’t enough time to transition there and then back. So instead, we all wait around and listen to our two heroes conspire.
Accessibility Specialist has had the job for a month. Or, at least, she's been PAID to do this job for a month. She's been doing it unofficially much longer. She has IDEAS. So that’s where all the unpolished We Respect Everyone energy is coming from. Head of Security is one of her co-conspirators!
In-between plotting, Accessibility Specialist asks me questions. She hears about the amount of phonecalls, and the unsatisfactory answers. The complete lack of support. The fact that I had told the airline that this exact situation was likely to happen, and then got security called on us anyways. She tells me that this information is very helpful. Her plans will benefit from specific examples.
She tells me how unsatisfactory it is to have to send people to the chapel. They're pushing for a quiet room. I agree that this would have been helpful. My brother would probably have been calmer in a quiet space, which would have helped us AND reduced the stress for others. (Also, both me and my sister would have benefited from the quiet. But I didn’t say that.)
In all the commotion, I’ve forgotten to talk to the boarding people about priority boarding. But Accessibility Specialist is on the ball! We stand off to the side, behind a rope, while the plane disembarks. (My brother starts off pacing RIGHT in the way of the disembarkment, so sneaking into the roped off area is a good idea.) We’re going to be the very first ones to board, even before the people in wheelchairs. I pray that my brother is willing to walk onto the plane – he hasn’t been willing to follow me since we got out of security.
The boarding people are on their best behaviour. They make a special trip over to us to scan our tickets. They send someone down the ramp to check on the plane’s status. We are now VIPs. And we seem to have made the Accessibility Specialist’s day. She is so SMUG as she whispers with the Head of Security!
They ask if we’re okay with them accompanying us to the plane. Sure! I’m having a great time watching their excitement. It’s changed a very difficult experience into a pleasurable one. (For me. They are thankfully respecting my sister’s desire to be ignored. She is still not having fun. And my brother is pretty done with this experience. He’s found some quotes about ‘going home’ and ‘not doing this’ to share with me.)
Finally, we get the nod. My brother calmly follows us down the ramp. We get to the plane and are asked to pause for a moment while they finish moving some storage carts around. Seems reasonable to me, but Accessibility Specialist darts forward and takes photos, documenting SOMETHING. And then we get on the plane.
-
The plane itself would have been great. My brother happily took a seat. Enjoyed looking out the windows. And was excited to watch Shrek. My sister relaxed. And I LOVE flying. But, sadly, electronics must be stowed during liftoff and landing. My brother did NOT take these unreasonable demands from me well. He eventually forgave me for the take-off misdemeanor, especially after I put on my own headphones and quoted the movie with him. But my sins at landing were too much. For half an hour after he left the airport, he kept repeating, “NO more flying!” and “Not like this!” Any comments about flying for the next day got his hackles up.
So, I won’t do that to him again. But it was a very interesting experience for me! I am glad I got to have it.
And if anyone has flown through Winnipeg’s Richardson International Airport⁴ in the last while, and wants to tell them about any good or bad accessibility experiences, I think there’s someone there that would appreciate it. I want to see what she can accomplish.
-
PS. She’s also started a program where you can practice getting ready to board a plane! You sign up and they take you through the whole experience, from signing in to walking the boarding ramp. (Or, possibily, just whichever portion is concerning you.) I wish I had thought to contact the airport itself, rather than just contacting the airline and looking at the government’s resources. Good things are happening there.

Warnings- emotions, slight angst, fluff, I promise there's smut next time

Harry’s idea to let them bond together without the worry of someone they know catching them hadn’t been what Y/N expected.
She had imagined a trip into the city, maybe to a few over so they could get used to being out together, to being a couple they wanted to be. Maybe a BnB if he was feeling fancy.
It turns out, he was feeling luxurious.
Italy had been the last of her guesses, not even truly on the brain. The older man had her pack her bags and told her they were going to one of his houses. She had been given the hints of a ‘warm climate’ and to pack those ‘pretty bathing suits and sundresses’ that he loved oh, so much. Y/N did exactly as asked, packing up her suitcase with the cool packing cubes she had bought from being influenced online - she was weak for easier travel- and prepared for at least a bit of fun in the sun. Her suspicions rose when he had mentioned a passport, but when they sat in the first class seats on a flight to Italy, she was in shock.
Harry had laughed at her shock, how she bounced on her heels when she had figured it out when they arrived at the lounge. She had thanked him with kisses to the cheek, her hood falling off her face as she held his far too pretty for a grown man’s face. Y/N hadn’t been to Italy, let alone know that he had a house there. Imagine her reaction when he broke out into Italian, speaking to the gate agent as soon as they landed about something that she couldn't understand. Her attraction to him had already been sky high, but the last few hours had elevated it specifically.
2 weeks. They were spending 2 weeks in Italy, Y/N finally quitting the job she hated with plans to look for another one when she got back, and a weight lifted off her shoulders. Her excuse to Lia had been she was going to go see where her extended family lived, whilst Harry said he had business. It wasn’t a lie- Y/N did have family here, but she wasn’t exactly going to see them.
Y/N’s arms wrapped around his one as they walked through one of the street markets. Harry had been the one to choose her dress, deciding on a white base colored one with tiny baby blue florals covering it. It hugged her waist and flared out, reaching right above her knee and was off the shoulder with tiny puff sleeves- a beautiful one he hadn’t seen before. They’d lazed about in bed sleeping off a bit of the travel from the day prior,  but Y/N had been a bit antsy to see things. Harry knew the area well, had spent some summers here with family, and he was a massive fan of the country in general.
Sunglasses hung on the bridge of his nose as he stopped at one of the stalls, looking at the fresh fruit lined up. He hadn’t gone to the market yet, and it was probably a good idea to get some fruit while they were here. “Why don’t you pick out some that looks good to you, hm?” He turned to murmur against her temple.
Y/N wasn’t used to being allowed to be so openly affectionate with Harry.  The times they’d gone out back home, they’d still been cautious with how close and sweet they were in fear of their relations being reported back to someone who didn’t need to know. Being in Italy offered a type of freedom that she didn’t expect to feel so good. Hanging on his arm felt so perfect, like it fit right into her own. Letting her arm drop from his, she chose a few things. A few packets of berries that looked particularly ripe and juicy, some peaches that were far softer than any she had felt, and a few red and green mottled apples were placed into the wicker basket she had bought from a few vendors up. She knew Harry was a fan of cherries, so she chose a small bag and picked up a pomegranate for herself before stopping. Looking at him for approval, he simply nodded and took the basket from her to show the vendor.
“Mi scusi, quanto costa tutto questo?” His Italian made her blink. His voice had always been a weakness of hers, but hearing him talk in a different language and sound so… dreamy? She felt a bit wobbly in the knees, eyes locked on his face as he spoke. The exchange was completely missed on the other end, her long lashes blinking as she watched Harry pull his worn leather wallet out from his front pocket and hand over a few bills. She watched his eyes slide over to her, catching her staring point blank as his lips quipped up in a tiny smirk.
“Grazie Signore.”
His hand found Y/N’s, threading their fingers together as they continued to walk with her basket in his hand now. He wouldn’t let her carry her own stuff a lot of the time and as much as it drove her crazy, it also showed that he was a real gentleman. They just didn’t make them like this anymore. That’s why she’s gone with an original model, she supposed.
“Got something on my face?” His smug little smile hadn’t dwindled, their hands swinging slightly in between them as she could feel his happiness. It squeezed her heart in her chest. As many times as she’s seen the man content, she had never seen him like this. This level of happiness, or seemingly free. She could relate, but seeing it in the man who was usually quite reserved and had been known to her as an authority in a way, an intimidation, it was a breath of fresh air. His giddiness was contagious.
“Mhm. A little smug look on that face.” She laughed, rolling her eyes in jest as they continued to walk down the cobblestones. “You’re just very pretty. That’s all.” She feigned a bit more indifference than she actually felt.
“Oh? And it’s got nothing to do with the fact that you look at me like I offered you a lifetime supply of peach tea when I speak Italian?” He rose a brow, calling her out directly on her bullshit. “I do appreciate the compliment though. I prefer ruggedly handsome, a sexpot, maybe. But pretty will do.”
“A sexpot?” Y/N snorted, nose crinkling in distaste as she looked at him over her own sunglasses. “I forgot you’re an old man sometimes. But fine. Maybe I do like hearing you speak in a foreign language. You surprise me, is all.” She shrugged one shoulder, continuing the swinging of their arms. It was odd, how well they connected despite all their seemingly different life points. They melded together like precious metals over a flame, combining in a way that made her positive that traces of him would remain in her forever.
“Good. You’ve got a lot to learn about me.” He hummed, squeezing their joined hands. The man seemed a bit shy with her sometimes, like now that they were out of their normal element, he was a tad more vulnerable. It was something Y/N found to be refreshing. She wasn’t the only one a little nervous. Or perhaps he had always felt like this, but hadn’t felt ok showing it.
“Hm. Let’s look in here.” Harry interrupted her train of thought, pulling her into a stall with dresses.
Harry had a thing for them, as they’d previously discussed. He liked seeing her in flowy, soft dresses that showed off her shoulders and her legs. It had taken her slightly off guard considering she had thought he would prefer to see her in her bathing suits- which, he did obviously enjoy, but he had shown more excitement to see the dresses she had shown and requested them specifically.
“Are you going to get something?” Y/N asked, looking at the colorful pieces hung up on a pole and the rolling racks. They were beautiful, but definitely pricey. She couldn’t fault them for it, as they looked hand made and artists deserved to be paid for their work appropriately. She had to be a bit careful with her spending, though, considering she had just quit her old job.
“Mhm. We both are.” Harry’s words made her turn to him, lifting the glasses off her face.
“Oh? I am?” She crossed her arms, looking up at him with her brows raised, only to be met with a laughing man who scooped her into his arms, pulling her into his chest. She had no time to question before he was kissing the top of her head, pulling back to look at her face.
“Yes. M’gonna be buying you what I’d like to see you in.” He said easily.  “And probably some things for myself.” There were a nice variety of shirts and shorts, so he could choose for himself. It was written all over her face, her reflex to argue, but instead of allowing it, he tipped her chin up and covered her lips with his own, cutting off any sort of rebellion. Kissing her for the first time, properly, in a public place. It had caught her off guard, her body relaxing slightly before he pulled back from her. “Just let me. Yeah? It’ll make me happy.” He smoothed his thumb over her bottom lip. “Per favore, bellezza mia. Lascia che ti vizi.” The croon of a whispered Italian sentence, despite her not really knowing what he said besides please, had her core heating up.
God damn, he was good.
“Fine. Fine… If it’ll make you happy.” She whispered back, leaning up to peck his lips again. It took him by surprise, but one he happily leaned into. Harry’s wide grin was reward enough.
After that, it was a bit of a blur. Y/N said yes and no to a few dresses, trying her best to be conservative with the money he was spending because it still made her a little uneasy- but seeing the amount of clothing that he had folded up for himself, it reminded her that he really did have the funds. His home here alone should show her that- but in the back of her mind, she knew she was worried about what people would say.
Gold digger. With him for the money.
It wasn’t that she necessarily cared about anyone else's opinion of her, but she didn’t like the idea of people saying she didn’t feel for him as strongly as he did for her. She would be with Harry if he didn’t have money at all at this point. Of course, she couldn’t lie and say it wasn’t a good thing to have. That it didn’t arouse her to know her man could take care of her, that he was successful and driven and able to provide and create things. It did, more than she cared to admit. It just wasn’t why she was with him.
Harry had swept her off her feet, what started out as a fuck in the poolhouse turning into a full blown relationship with feelings and anxious glances and sweet giggles. It was different than past relationships but also, not. The circumstances certainly were unique, the risk especially so, but the full bellied butterflies she got whenever she thought about him, the late night calls, the rest of it all resembled a pure romance.
She acted the part of a spoiled girl well in most other contexts, but actually allowing people to provide things for her had always made her feel a bit uncomfortable. It was never an even exchange. Harry’s expression had been so earnest when he had told her he wanted to do it for her, she couldn’t tell him no.
The shop owner had looked overjoyed, throwing suggestions to them and acting as a personal shopper once she had deciphered what size Y/N would be, a flush on her face as she realized it meant real money for her. That was another reason she let the guilt melt away. Providing income for a local artisan was worth it. Falling into it, she smiled and showed her preferences towards cuts, choosing one of the lilac ones from the rack, a soft linen mustard colored dress with floral embroidery across the bust, a deep red maxi dress with a mix of lace creating pleats, a white wrap skirt, and a few other things that Harry had decided she was getting. Y/N wasn’t about to deny him. It was his money.
By the end of it, they had two bags of clothing, separated to his and hers by the helpful and gracious artisan who kissed both of their cheeks repeatedly and apparently invited them both to dinner while they were here. Y/N didn't know what he had said in response, but she assumed by the large smile that it was an acceptance.
He had a charm about him. She had noticed it, obviously, but as they continued through the market and shopped it became apparent that he just had a magnetic quality to him that had her looking on the interactions fondly. This was an unfiltered view of the man that made her feel a fluttering in her chest, the luck she had stumbled upon by getting to spend her time with him realized fully as she continued their walk. He was a gentleman, stopping and letting her browse one of the pottery stalls so she could choose a mug- finally letting her pay for something herself when she had pouted at him- and decided to get him one as well. Hers had oranges on it, Harry’s matching with lemons.
Italy was far warmer than she had realized though, and her inner thighs were starting to sweat. She needed a break, which she told him in a soft request to go back to the house to relax by the pool. Her body was in desperate need of a shower and far less clothing. This had been the most walking she had done in months.
He had insisted on gelato before they made the trek back up to the villa, Y/N choosing a Tiramisu flavor and Harry getting pistacchio. Leisurely, they walked hand in hand while the bags hung off Harry's elbow and her basket back on her own while they licked at the treat. It was melting fast, her tongue working over the sides to try and constrain it from dripping all over her fingers. Being sticky on top of sweaty and tired was not on the top of her to-do list.
“Messy girl.” His eyes had been watching intently as they paused at the top of the hill to give her a second to breathe. Her tongue flicked over her fingertips as the melty cream dribbled down over the cone, making his stomach burn a little bit. The woman managed to make the most mundane things either utterly adorable or completely erotic depending on the mood. In this instance, he was reminded of her sitting on her knees, lapping up every drip of his cum when he had finished in her mouth. Greedy for it, he had soaked up every moment of her desperation. It was a cherished memory of his he would be happy to relive.
“Perv.” She smirked, shaking her head as she looked him in the eye, taking a long lick. If he was going to be flirty, she was going to return it right back. “Don’t start when we’re out here. If you’re going to be dirty, wait till we’re back in private.” Her hip bumped his before she started off on her own, leaving him to follow right on behind while watching her skirt sway.
—---
“Darling?” A soft voice woke her from her light sleep, cool fingertips brushing over her cheek. The warm ocean breeze and sound of the water and birds had lulled her into a state of relaxation while the sun had begun to set. Eyes peeled open to see Harry smiling down at her, shirt hanging off of his shoulders while he was bare underneath. He was bent down, arm resting on the back of the lounger while the other stroked her face. “There she is. Fell asleep?” He looked down at the book splayed out on her stomach and the half finished spritz on the side table, evidence of the accidental dozing.
“Yeah, m’sorry.” Knuckles reached up to rub at her eyes, peering up at him with a soft grin. “Didn’t mean to. The breeze felt really good.” Finishing with her no longer sleepy eyes, her fingers went to his wrist, urging his hand to cup her cheek the way she liked. “Did you have a good shower?”
Harry had left her out to relax while he had answered a few emails and took a shower, needing to wash the day off of him. Y/N had done so earlier when he had made them food, so it had been his turn. She had told him she was going to relax by the pool with her drink and book and she wasn’t too tired, but it was obvious the day had caught up with her a little bit.
“I did, yeah.” He stroked the apple of her cheek with his thumb, seeing her face relax into the hold he kept. “Missed you a little, though. Much more fun with you complaining about how it isn't hot enough.”
“Well, you take lukewarm showers at best. I like to feel a bit of burn.” She huffed, turning her face to bite the heel of his palm lightly to show her displeasure. “Rude. But, I missed you too. Come sit with me.”
Y/N’s body shuffled over, allowing him to lay on his side next to her. The size left little room between them, but Y/N remedied that as she moved her leg to hook over his waist, sighing as she snuggled up to him. Harry couldn’t control the flip flop his stomach did at her apparent comfort with him, feeling easy enough to do something like that with him. No hesitation now, lips pressed against the base of his throat before she settled in.
“Comfortable?” His voice murmured, hand falling to her bare back to stroke the warm expanse.
“Mhm.” Her replied was hummed, hand resting on his chest as she sagged into his hold. “I’m really happy.”
The words had sounded like it took her a moment to admit. His breath caught, looking at the top of her head as she kept her face tucked against his throat. Hiding a little bit, but he could understand why. Admitting things, feelings, it was intimidating. “Yeah?” He chuckled, letting his blunt nails run over her spine, memorizing the feeling of its ridges under the skin. “Good. That’s all I want for you. I wanted to take you away… let you feel relaxed for once.”
His words vibrated against her cheek, tickling her slightly. She hummed back, twirling the chain of his necklace around her finger. A force of habit now. “I am. It was a really good idea. I…” There was a pause, hesitation coating her tongue as she decided to go for it anyways. “I was really scared I messed this up completely. I didn’t want to hurt your feelings or make you feel like… Like you weren’t enough, or I wasn’t happy. I know we talked about it before, and I don’t want to ruin a good day with those thoughts, but I really like you and I loved how it felt when we were out earlier. Holding your hand, when you kissed me…” She swallowed the lump that had formed, his soothing fingers continuing their path. He knew what she needed. “It felt right. I know back at home, some people are probably going to have a lot to say, a lot of mean things probably, saying I’m in this for money or something and that you’ll get over me or whatever but I just want you to know that I think we could work.”
Mustering up the courage to pull back and look at his face, she looked into his own eyes. They looked light, but focused. Intent as he met her gaze, encouraging her to continue to speak. She had no idea how he felt, how he felt a little choked up himself at her words and her resolve over the both of them. “I think we could. I’m sorry I seemed so wishy-washy before with us. With putting labels and dancing round things.  I was scared to ask for anything more because I enjoyed us together and I didn’t want to be a silly little girl and assume you’d want something with me.” There was a pregnant pause, Y/N’s eyes falling from his for a moment. “I know theres a lot against us. I’m half your age, you’re Lia’s dad, it’s going to cause problems but I-I really think it’s worth exploring. I don’t want you to get hurt by the repercussions and like I said, I know it’ll cause some issues but-”
Y/N’s words were cut off with his mouth. A deep kiss, fingers angling her up towards him and keeping her chin between his fingers as he locked their lips together, letting her feel him. Heat flushed in her body, leaning into it immediately. He had stolen her breath, a tiny whimper leaving her throat as he attempted to pull back. Her fingers tangled in his hair, tugging him back to her with a quiet mewl of ‘No’ before sealing their soft mouths back again, feeling his harsh exhale through his nose when she dragged her nails over his exposed chest and pulled back to peck his lips a few times. He eagerly responded, chasing her lips a few more times before giving a breathless chuckle, forehead resting against her own.
His heart thumped in his chest as he took a moment, opening his mouth to speak to her but failing. How could he possibly be able to tell her how much he actually appreciated her? He had to at least try.
“I don’t think words will be enough to accurately describe to you how much I feel for you already. I know. I know of the risks, the things people would say, the things that could possibly happen as a result. Trust me when I say that a relationship with you is all that has been clouding my mind for the last few weeks. I’ve thought through every scenario, as good and as bad as they could get, but none of them are as bad as the thought of losing out on being with you.”
His voice was slightly hoarse, the kiss and the mere passion he felt stealing some of the strength he usually had, but he powered on. “Y/N… I know I was cruel to you the other night. I was pathetically jealous, angry that it wasn’t me. That I couldn’t make it easier on you to be with me. I can’t control what people outside of myself do, and I should have conducted myself better but you…. You make me feel again. It’s unnerving and I felt raw and naked and hurt because I was letting you in and it felt like perhaps that wouldn’t be enough. That I’d be a phase. But it was cruel of me to underestimate you and think poorly of your intentions because of my own insecurities. As good as I try to be… I am still a man.” He laughed humorlessly, shaking his head. “A silly, jealous, needy man who wanted to rip the hands off of the guy in that photo for touching your shoulder. I wanted to storm down to the bar and toss you over my shoulder, take you home where you belong. When I realized I didn’t have a claim over you, it hurt. It made me feel bitter and irritated and then you showed up to my house, wearing a dress that you put on for another man… I went mad. But it wasn’t fair of me. I was feeling those same insecurities, and I didn’t let you speak. And for that, I’m sorry.” He returned to her chin, tilting it back up and pressing another lingering kiss to her lips before continuing.
“I want to be with you. I’ll take it all. I won’t let anyone be cruel to you, I will cherish you and this relationship, I’ll make you happy. I know we’ll have some growing pains and that it won’t necessarily be easy because of everyone else, but being with you? Being around you, feeling happy? It’s the easiest thing I’ve ever done.”
Y/N hated herself for it, but she felt the burn behind her eyes. To hear someone talk so passionately, to put themselves in a position at home that could cause him personal issues because he liked her so much, he felt so intensely for her? It had shook her to the core. It felt like no one else had ever cared about her this much. She could feel it, feel his affection in the way he kissed her. “Me too.” She peeped. “It’s- It’s so easy for me to be myself around you. I know it was weird at first because of how we met but it fell into such a rhythm so quickly a-and I like myself around you, H. I do. I think that’s what we’re supposed to feel in relationships. Right?” She sniffled, cursing under her breath as a tear escaped. “Sorry. I just feel a lot right now and I’m really happy.” A watery laugh made him smile, thumbing the salty tear away from her cheek.
“Don’t apologize to me for feeling.” It was a gentle scold. As much as tears from her would break his heart, he wanted her reactions unfiltered. There was a greed he couldn’t control when it came to information about Y/N. “I want to hear and see everything you feel. You underestimate just how curious I’ve been about how this pretty little brain works.” His damp finger tapped the tip of her nose, making her giggle again. “It is how you’re supposed to feel, I think. At least, it’s how I feel with you, too. It’s the best, isn’t it?” His arms pulled her back to his chest, smiling to himself as he felt her rub her face into his neck and play with his hair, warm breaths brushing his collarbone as she nodded in response.
“It is.” Her words were soft against him, pressing a series of gentle kisses to the side of his throat and working her way up to his jaw. “You make me feel things I’ve never felt before. Every day, it’s something new.” Her teeth grazed the hinge of his jaw, biting down delicately before pulling back to give him a grin. “I never want to stop learning with you.”
“I’ll make sure you never have to, sweetheart.” Lips brushed hers, stealing her breath. “We don’t have to tell everyone we’re together when we’re home, but… we can use this trip, see how good it feels. Work on it when we get back.” meaning they’d have to tell Lia. Something neither of them would look forward to, but it was going to be pushed back on this trip. “Just want to take this time to get to know you, to see bits of you that you’ve hidden away. Cruel little thing.” He clicked his tongue, letting his fingers brush her sides to make her squeal. She was a tiny bit ticklish there.
“I’ll let you know anything you want- but first lesson? Do not tickle me unless you want me to accidentally knee you in the balls.” She huffed. “I happen to quite like them, so don’t do that.”
“Noted, darling. Noted.”

[This Bites] (1)
Pairing: Astarion x F! Chubby! MC
Plot: Through some mysterious and very miraculous events, a young woman finds herself literally stuck with a character from her current video game obsession. You can guess it already. It's an isekai type fanfic. Except in this case Astarion is stuck in our modern world.  I was gonna call the MC Tav, but since the actual game character Tav is mentioned I just named her Winnie.
Content Warnings: Death….sorta, An asshole of a stepdad, MC uses She/Her pronouns, eventual smut and sexual content in future parts. Characters may be Ooc, grammar/spelling mistakes are possible. MC has very low self esteem. Depressed MC.
Chapter One: You are here!
Chapter Two: Here!
Tumblr media
~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~•~
“Argh I knew something would go wrong with this game!” The female huffed, staring down at her computer. Her eyes scanned over the error message titled ‘Character not found.’ She gritted her teeth in frustration. “God forbid I try mods….”
The young woman groaned, shutting her laptop and falling back onto the bed. Apparently after finally installing a cheat mod onto Baldur's Gate 3 the game decided to retaliate and locked her out of her save files. She couldn't even create a new character either! The same ‘Character not found’ message seemed to pop up no matter what she did. The girl’s name was Winnie, a college student in her early twenties who was still living at home. Not too long ago Winnie had gotten the game upon release. She'd played it several times since then and even yet was still able to find some hidden secrets she didn't notice the first time. Honestly this game had really helped with her current state. Life had just been dull and miserable. All her friends had moved on and had their own lives now and she really wasn't the best at making new ones.
She had a dull boring job, did online writing classes and also had to put up with the asshole her mother married. This game had been a godsend for her these past few months. It gave her an escape. A way to be someone else, at least for a little while anyway.
Not to mention live out her somewhat cringey teenage girl fantasy of dating a walking red flag of a vampire. In this game she felt important. Like she was some badass heroine who was ready to take on any foe.  Not the shy, scared, awkward woman who she saw in the mirror.
Her cat Maddie broke Winnie from her thoughts as she hopped up onto the bed and crawled onto the young woman's chest. Winnie ran her hand over the cat's thick fluffy black fur.  Maddie gave a small mew before purring noisily and gently kneading her claws into Winnie’s chest.
Winnie sighed, scratching the sides of Maddie's face as she was soothed by the feline’s pur.
“WINNIE! GET YOUR ASS IN HERE!!” A gruff male voice shouted from the other room, causing Maddie to jump and scramble off of Winnie and hide under the bed.
The brunette haired girl sighed and got up, walking out of the room and cautiously stepping down the hall.
“Yes, Brian?” Winnie spoke up as she entered the kitchen.  She looked over to see her stepfather stumbling about. Brian was a rather large man with short dark hair and beard. He was well….very unpleasant.
“Where are the goddamn car keys?” He growled out.
“Dunno, I don't drive.” Winnie said calmly as she leaned up against the wall, “mom probably put them somewhere. Check the coffee table by the recliner.”
Brian stomped off, a tiny tan fluff of a dog following after him.  He grabbed the keys before walking back into the kitchen.
“I'm going to the store. Keep that stupid cat of yours in your room! It keeps shitting all over the carpet!”
“I've told you over and over. Maddie only goes in the litter box. It's your dog that keeps making a mess in the house because you don't take him outside when he needs to go.” Winnie rolled her eyes.
“Don't fucking talk back to me! You're lucky your mother lets you stay here, if it was up to me you'd have been kicked out of here a long time ago.”  Brain snapped, making Winnie flinch a little at his tone.  “Now make sure the trash is taken out before I get back.” He said before stomping out the front door and slamming it behind him.  Winnie flinched once again at the loud sound before letting out a sigh and pulling the trash out of the can despite the fact that she distinctly remembered her mother telling Brian to take it out this morning.
Winnie took out the trash before coming back inside heading back to her room. Her eyes scanned over her laptop as Maddie crawled out from under the bed.  She walked back over and opened the device, logging herself on before attempting to open her game back up.
[Character not found.]
Winnie groaned before filling out a bug report and then putting her computer up. She needed to get ready and go to work anyway.
~•~•~•~•~•~•~
A few days had passed and nothing seemed to work. Winnie had disabled and deleted all the mods, sent in about a dozen but reports and still nothing. The only thing left she could try now was uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it.
Winnie sat on the bed waiting patiently for the game to download though she knew it would at least take an hour. She pulled out her cellphone, noticing a text from her mother. The message was informing Winnie that Brian and her mom wouldn't be home until late tonight. At least this meant she'd have plenty of peace and quiet in the meantime. The young woman spread out on her bed, stretching her limbs before slowly closing her eyes, resting lazily.
Time passed as she slowly dozed off…Eventually she was awoken by the sound of beeping? It was some strange noise that she couldn't quite put her finger on. She quickly looked over to her laptop and her eyes widened as she noticed it seemed to be going crazy. Blinking and beeping.
“What the fuck!?” She exclaimed, grasping her computer and frantically clicking the mousepad.
Then the screen went black before seemingly returning to the home screen. However, everything on the computer was gone save for one shortcut. Baldur's Gate 3.
The game’s shortcut sat in the very center of the computer, practically screaming at Winnie to click on it. She clicked it and the game opened up.
Everything seemed to go as normal up until the title screen.  Winnie’s eyes widened in shock as she noticed all of the menu options were gone aside from (New Game).  She raised an eyebrow before clicking on the only option available and waiting as the opening cinematic played. Everything continued as it usually did. Winnie created her Tav, a human druid with an urchin background, then proceeded to hop into the game.
Winnie did a bit of a speed run, moving through the Nautiloid as quickly as she could. She recruited Us, Lae'zel and freed Shadowheart before reaching the helm and crashing the ship.
Upon reaching the ravaged beach was when things began to get strange.
The game buffered and blinked a bit, skipping the scene where Tav would check themselves out followed by some voiced narration. Tav was kinda just there on the beach.
“Oh God. The game is glitching….” Winnie whined. She sighed in annoyance before clicking on the ground where she wanted Tav to walk. Winnie REALLY did not feel like uninstalling the game and waiting another hour to try again so she decided she'd play for as long as the game would allow.  Winnie had Tav wander over towards where Shadowheart would normally be laying after crash, only to find an empty space where the half elf should be.  Winnie groaned assuming it was another glitch before continuing on along the beach. While most things were there like the dead bodies and the intellect devourer enemies, Winnie did not see any sign of Shadowheart at all. Not even near the ruins where she'd be if she wasn't rescued by the player.  Winnie decided to quickly go and look for the other characters, sneaking her way past the little brain creatures and moving down the path where Astarion, the elven rogue companion, would be waiting to ambush the player.  He was Winnie’s favorite. She had a soft spot for sassy morally grey characters with tragic backstories. And he was also secretly a vampire to boot which just added to the appeal.  Winnie had her Tav approach the area before she let out a sigh of relief seeing as the vampiric elf was in his starting area shouting for help like normal. At least the game wasn't completely broken.
“Hurry I've got one of those brain things cornered.” Astarion’s dialogue began as soon as Tav got close enough to interact with him.  “There in the grass, you can kill it can't you? Like you killed the others?”
“Uh….I kinda actually didn't kill any of them…Heheh.” Winnie chuckled before dragging her mouse over the dialogue choices.
1. [Easily, stand back.]
2. Kill it yourself. You seem capable.
3. Leave
Winnie clicked on choice 1 before her Tav walked over to check the tall grass for the intellect devourer that was actually non-existent.
Instead a wild boar leapt from the grass and made Tav jump in surprise, giving Astarion the perfect opportunity to strike. He pinned the druid to the ground, pressing a dagger to her neck.
“Shhh…Shhh….Not a sound…Not if you want to keep that darling neck of yours.” The vampire practically purred out.  Winnie blushed, a shiver going down her spine. There was a reason she always found herself choosing the elven vampire as her character’s love interest. Initially when she first got the game she felt he came off as a pompous prick (which he is) but damn he was so fucking seductive. It drove Winnie absolutely mad. Not to mention it helped given he had sweet delicious character development later on in his story and actually could be kind of a sweetheart… To the player at least.
The romance in this game had to be Winnie’s favorite aspect of it. She was very romantically inexperienced to say the least and this just added to what made the game her perfect escape from reality. It made her feel like someone actually liked her. Winnie prepared to select the next dialogue choice when suddenly she noticed they had changed.
1. [……….]
2. ………..
3. ……….
4. ……….
She looked up and saw a smirk form on Astarion's lips, his eyes appeared as if he was staring back at Winnie from through the screen. Before she could speak Astarion slit Tav's throat and let them drop onto the ground.
“What. The. Fuck.” The brunette haired female went pale as she stared at her computer screen. Astarion sighed in what sounded like relief?
“Finally, we've done that old song and dance so many times! The novelty has completely worn off.” He stretched out his arms, before wiping his dagger on the ground. “It feels so invigorating to try something new, wouldn't you agree?”
“Uhh…..What's going on?” Winnie asked aloud. She was shaking a bit in both confusion and a little fear.  Her character was kinda just laying on the ground dead…and Astarion was talking….to her!?
“Oh dear, it seems I've gone and frightened you. Ahaha!” Astarion chuckled before appearing to move closer to the screen, even going so far to place his hand on it…
“Hello darling…”

MASTERLIST // HITLIST
Tumblr media
~~(^Pinterest)
When Ralf told you he wanted to switch from team principal back to driver, you were concerned at first. You were just about to start your master’s degree at your dream university, and you knew you would have very limited time to visit him. It was already hard enough when he was the principal, but now, he was the driver. That changed everything! You had never missed a race he was in, but sometimes, you need to put yourself first.
You both did your best to call every day, but it was hard sometimes with the time zones, race sessions, and class times. It was hard, and you really started to miss him after only a month of texts. You missed his voice. You missed his face. You missed his arms around you. You missed him. Period.
Well, it seemed like the racing gods were looking down on you during the week Ralf was racing at Spa, and you were notified that your university was having a power outage. All of your classes were moved online for the foreseeable future, so suddenly, you had the time to go see him race. As soon as you saw that email, you looked for the first flight out and booked it. Then, you messaged one of your friends, who agreed to pick you up and help you get into the racetrack unnoticed. Fred Vesti, one of your friends from when you worked with Ralf at Prema and one of Ralf’s current teammates, agreed to take care of everything for you.
You landed the next morning, and true to his word, Fred was there at the airport, ready to take you straight to the track for the practice session. He told you how Ralf was doing a stint, so he didn’t even know that Fred took his rented car. The team didn’t care; they got the car for the team to use.
You both laughed and caught up until Fred pulled into the car park. Fred led you through the gates without getting spotted. How he did that, you’ll never know. You made it around to the garage right around the time you saw Ralf’s car coming down the pitlane, and you knew this was your chance. You ran to the back of the garage where the driver’s room was, and you laid out on the couch, acting as if you had been there for hours. Within seconds, Ralf was walking through the door, taking his helmet off in the process and not glancing your way.
“How was the session?” You spoke up, thinking he just didn't see you.
“Could’ve gone better,” He replied as he brushed you aside. He just continued taking off his racing gear and pulled off the top half of his racing suit. “The car was oversteery and off-balanced the whole time, but they’ll get it figured out for your stint.”
“I don’t think it’d be a good idea to put me behind the wheel,” You joked with a laugh in disbelief, “Do you know how many tries it took me to get my normal license?”
“Thought you got it on your first try?” Ralf questioned as he finally looked over to you, and his eyes widened as he ran over to you. He threw his body on top of you entirely, crushing you between him and the couch. “When did you get here? How did you get here? Do your professors know?”
“Power outage at school, so classes are back on Zoom for the foreseeable future, and you seem to forget Fred is one of my closest friends from Prema,” You chuckled as you started trying to push him off of you, “Can you get up? I can’t breathe, and you’re all sweaty. Cute but sweaty.”
“I was going to take a shower, but now you’re here,” Ralf replied as he rolled the two of you over so you could rest on his chest.
“Me being here means you won’t take a shower?” You asked as you arched an eyebrow at him when you lifted your head up. “Absolutely not, Ralf Aron. You are getting in the shower, and we are going back to the hotel. I already got approval from the team to take you away for the rest of the day.”
“I’ll get in if you join me,” Ralf countered as he sat up, moving you to sit on his lap and tightening his arms around your waist.
“No funny business, mister,” You threatened with no real heat as you pointed a finger at him before giving him a kiss when he nodded in response. All too soon for Ralf’s liking, you pulled away. “Alright, let’s go. We have a schedule to uphold.”
“What schedule is this?” Ralf questioned as he stood up, still holding you. He walked you to the bathroom and set you on the counter while he took off the rest of his racing suit and fireproofs. “I wasn’t aware of any schedule.”
“I didn’t tell you, that’s what,” You laughed as you followed suit in taking your clothes off too. Ralf started the shower and waited for it to get up to temperature, expecting you to continue. You walked into his open arms, wrapping yours around his shoulders as you played with the hairs at the back of his head. “I made reservations for dinner. Is it a crime that I wanted a date night?”
“I’m paying, though,” Ralf laughed as he got into the shower, holding his hand out to help you in.
“Of course you are!” You said with fake enthusiasm. “I paid to get here. Of course, you’re paying for dinner, at least.”
“You’re lucky I love you,” Ralf teased with an eye-roll as he pulled you under the water with him.
“No, you’re lucky I love you,” You countered, pushing back a little to get your head out of the direct stream of water. “I wouldn’t fly out to meet some random person. You should feel special.”
“Trust me, I feel very special,” Ralf chuckled as he pulled you back under the water and into a kiss. When you pulled away, you tried to look up at him, but every time you did, water would hit your eyes.
“Is this what it’s like kissing in the rain? Movies make this look so much more romantic.”
“We can test that out whenever you want,” Ralf pointed out, “We’re in Belgium! It rains every other minute here!”
“Please don’t be doing what I think you’re doing in there!” Fred yelled from the other side of the door. “We all have to share this bathroom for the weekend!”
“Surprise, Fred!” You shouted with a smirk. You found joy in teasing Fred any chance you could, and this was no exception.
“I regret ever helping you get here.”

Your apartment was quiet, save for the faint hum of your laptop. You sat on the couch, finishing the last bit of your online class, while Sieun leaned beside you, lazily flipping through your math assignment.
“You missed this step.” He murmured, pointing to the page. “You distributed wrong here.”
You leaned in, your arm brushing his. “Oh—right. I forgot the negative.”
He nodded, calm and unbothered. He wasn’t teasing or judging, just stating the facts. There was a quiet concentration in him, but something gentler beneath it. Something lighter, as if the weight he usually carried had eased, if only for a moment.
Once the assignment was finished, the rest of the day passed without urgency. You reheated some leftovers and shared them cross-legged on the floor, talking about small, unimportant things. Every so often, your phone buzzed with a message. The boys were checked in to make sure you were doing okay. When Baku sent a ridiculous meme, you showed the messages to Sieun, who rolled his eyes and muttered. “Idiot.” There was no real bite to it. Just something that almost sounded like affection. The kind he didn’t quite know how to express out loud.
By evening, the sunlight had faded into a gentle glow, filling the room with a quiet calm. The TV flickered with some show neither of you cared about, the volume low and easy to ignore. You were curled up in the corner of the couch, nestled into Sieun’s side, his arm resting around you. His fingers moved slowly through your hair, gentle and absentminded, like it was second nature. He was quiet, but not in a distant way. This silence felt warm. Familiar. Safe.
“Hey.” His voice came softer than usual, hesitant. “Do you wanna come with me? To the hospital?”
You turned slightly, just enough to catch his face, his eyes fixed on the ceiling while his fingers continued to drift gently through your hair.
“To see my friend…” He said. “The one I told you about. He’s still not awake. But I sometimes go after school.”
There was something raw in his tone. Not fragile, but exposed. It didn’t feel like a casual question. It felt more like an invitation into a space he kept hidden, a quiet part of him that lived in silence.
You looked at him, eyes soft. “I’d really like to meet him.” You said quietly. “If he’s someone important to you… then he matters to me too.”
Something shifted in Sieun’s expression, quiet but clear. His gaze lingered on you, steady and unspoken. There was a softness there, something hard to name. Maybe it was trust. Or maybe a quiet kind of gratitude.
He didn’t smile, but his hand paused in your hair for a moment. He held your gaze, quiet and steady, then gave a small nod. It wasn’t much, but it felt like thanks. Genuine and wordless.

The bus hummed beneath you, the city passing by in quiet blurs of motion and light. You sat beside Sieun, close enough that your shoulder brushed his. His phone buzzed in his hand, and he glanced down, eyes scanning the screen. A soft sigh left him.
“It’s Gotak.” He said. “Baku challenged Baekjin. Wants to settle things this weekend.”
You turned slightly toward him. “Seriously?”
He nodded, already typing a response. “Yeah. Other student from the school are probably going to join the fight. I told them I’d help figure something out.”
He said it so evenly, so calmly, that it caught you off guard. No panic. No frustration. Just quiet focus. You watched him for a moment, wondering how he could stay so composed with something like that looming, but that was who he was. He was always planning ahead.
When the bus came to a stop, you both stepped off together into the cool air. The hospital stood a few blocks ahead, pale and still under the fading light. Inside, the air was sharp with disinfectant. The receptionist handed over a clipboard without a word, and Sieun filled in both your names. You followed him down a long hallway, past rooms and nurses and the faint, steady beep of machines.
At last, you reached the door.
He stopped in front of it, his hand hovering just near the handle.
“I haven’t been inside for a long time.” He said, not looking at you. “I usually sit out here. On that bench.” He nodded towards it. “I text his phone. Tell him stuff about my day. School. Random things. Pretend he’s reading it.”
You stayed quiet, letting him speak.
His fingers twitched slightly at his side. “But I think… I want to go in today.”
You gave a small nod, just enough for him to notice. You didn’t need to say anything. You were here, and that was enough.
After a moment, Sieun reached for the handle. His shoulders rose with a breath, then lowered as he slowly pushed the door open.
The room was quiet, save for the steady beeping of the heart monitor and the gentle hiss of the oxygen machine. Sieun’s friend lay completely still beneath the pale hospital sheets, an oxygen mask covering his face. Thin wires and IV lines ran from his arms to a nearby machine.
Sieun lingered at the side of the bed, unmoving, eyes fixed on his friend. After a moment, he stepped forward and eased into the chair beside him. His shoulders slumped slightly, and for once, he didn’t try to hold himself so tightly together
“Hey, Suho.” He said, his voice soft. “It’s been a while.”
He leaned forward slightly, resting his arms on his knees, eyes locked on the boy lying in front of him. You stayed quiet, listening and letting him have the space he needed.
“I brought someone with me today.” He continued quietly. “It’s Y/N. The girl I’ve been texting you about.”
His voice caught slightly, just for a second, but he didn’t stop.
“She’s the one who always looks at me like I’m more than I am. You’d probably roll your eyes and say I’ve gone soft.”
A faint smile tugged at the corner of his mouth. He looked down then, fingers lacing together in his lap.
“I really wish you’d wake up now.” He said, and this time his voice was lower. More raw. “It’s been so long. I keep thinking… maybe tomorrow. But it’s never tomorrow...”
He leaned back slightly, looking at Suho’s face. His eyes were tired, but open in a way that didn’t happen often. Honest. Unshielded.
“I don’t know what else to say.” He admitted. “But I thought you should meet her. Even like this.”
His voice trailed off, and he sat there, quiet, looking at the boy who used to sit beside him in class. The boy who used to make him feel like he wasn’t alone.
You stepped forward without a word and gently placed your hand on Sieun’s shoulder. He didn’t look up, but you felt the way he leaned ever so slightly into your touch, as if grounding himself in the moment.
“Hi, Suho. It’s nice to meet you.” You said, voice calm, steady despite the tightness in your chest. “Don’t worry about Sieun. I’ll keep an eye on him while we wait for you to come back.”
For a few seconds, the room was quiet again.
Then you noticed the tears trailing silently down Sieun’s cheeks. He stayed where he was, unmoving, eyes steady on Suho. The tears came slowly, tracing quiet paths down his cheeks. He let them fall. There was no outburst, only the quiet ache of someone who had been holding everything in for far too long.
He looked at Suho like he wanted to speak, like the words were there but just out of reach. His jaw tightened, and his hands curled slightly in his lap. The silence around him was not empty. It was filled with everything he could not bring himself to say. Grief. Frustration. Longing.
And in that quiet, it became clear. The hope inside him was still alive, small and aching. It sat heavy in his chest, steady and painful. The kind of hope that hurts just to carry.
You stayed beside him, your hand resting gently on his shoulder and you knew that just being there was all he needed.

You stepped out of the hospital side by side, the automatic doors closing behind you with a hush that felt too final. The sky had darkened while you were inside. Sieun walked close to you, quiet, his hand brushing against yours before he gently took it. He didn’t squeeze. He just held on, like he needed the contact to remind himself he was still here, still allowed to feel something.
You glanced at him. His face was tired, unreadable, but there was something fragile in eyes.
“If you want, you can come to my place.” You said softly. “But if you need time alone, or to go home… I’ll understand.”
He didn’t look at you. He just walked beside you, his eyes fixed ahead. Then he said, softly. “I’ll stay. As long as you’ll have me.”
That hurt, the way he said it. Like he was asking permission just to exist. “You’re always welcome at my place.”
And you meant it. Every word.
But he slowed his steps a little, eyes dropping to the pavement.
“I should stop by my apartment first.” He murmured. “Just to grab some clothes. A few things.”
When you reached his building, you felt something in him shift. His steps slowed just slightly, his grip on your hand tightened before he lets go to unlock the door.
His apartment felt colder than you expected. Not physically, but in the way it seemed to carry no warmth at all. The light from the ceiling was faint, casting more shadows than comfort. His mother was on the couch with her phone in her hand. She didn’t look up until the door closed behind you. She stood up.
“There you are.” She snapped. “You didn’t call. You don’t even think about me, did you?”
Then she saw you.
Her words trailed off as her eyes shifted to your face. She blinked, clearly thrown. For a moment, she just stared, like she couldn’t quite figure out where you’d come from or why you were standing next to her son. You bowed quickly. “Hello, ma’am. I’m Y/N.” You said politely.
She didn’t reply. Her eyes stayed on you for a second too long before shifting back to Sieun.
“This is what you’ve been doing?” She said, her voice rising. “Running around with a girl while I sit here worried? How can you be so selfish? Can’t you think about me for once?”
You froze. But Sieun...
He turned around slowly to face her, his voice steady, too calm. “Since when do you care what I do?”
She frowned. “What are you talking about?”
“You didn’t care before I moved in.” He said. “Back when I lived with Dad, you didn’t call. You didn’t ask how I was doing. You just liked getting the report cards. I was a good son, right? As long as you had something to brag about at work or to your friends…”
“That’s not true.” She said quickly, shaking her head. “You don’t know how hard it’s been for me. I did my best—”
“Right.” He cut in. “You’re the one who had it hard. I get it. Raising a kid who was always sick, always quiet, always a little bit too much trouble.” He said it with no heat. Just exhaustion. A truth repeated too many times in his head. “I didn’t move in with you because I wanted to.” He added. “I had to. The school’s closer. That’s all.”
“Don’t act like I never cared about you—”
“You cared when it made you look good.” He said. “When I was getting awards. When the teachers called home. You smiled and told everyone how proud you were. But when I needed you….When I was having a hard time …You didn’t even notice… Because you were never there.”
She stood there, stunned, like she couldn’t believe he’d say those things out loud. Like she was the one being attacked. “Sieun, don’t say things like—”
“Our relationship worked better when you ignored me.” He continued. “I wish you’d stop pretending we’re something we’re not. We’ve never been close. We don’t have a normal mother-son relationship. We never did. I’m not trying to fight. Please, let’s stop pretending.”
He turned to head to his room, but paused in the doorway. “I’ll text, sometime.” He added, voice quieter now. “I’ll come back every now and then. This is still home, even if it doesn’t feel like it. I just… need space. That’s all. I’m sorry.”
For a second, her face shifted. Something like guilt flickered there, but it passed quickly.
Without waiting for a reply, he walked in his room. You bowed slightly again and followed him. He packed fast. Efficient. Like he knew exactly what he needed and wanted to leave before anything else could be said. Clothes, toothbrush, charger, hoodie. A few books. His hands were steady, but his silence was loud.
“Even when I was little. Even when I was scared or sick. She’d tell people how hard it was for her. And I thought maybe if I worked harder, she’d… see me differently.” He muttered.
You stepped closer, placing your hand gently on his arm. “You don’t have to keep earning love that should’ve been given.”
He didn’t respond right away. Just zipped his bag and stood there for a second, staring at the floor. Then he nodded.
You walked out with him. His mother didn’t say a word. Neither did he.

The week dragged on, each day heavier than the last. Everyone at Eunjang felt it, even if no one said anything out loud. It was in the way conversations stopped when certain names were mentioned. In how Baku’s usual teasing quieted down, replaced with short nods and long silences. Even Sieun seemed different. Calmer on the outside, but more distant, like he was already somewhere else.
The Union had gone too far. Taking you had crossed a line, and Baekjin knew that. Maybe that was the point. Maybe he wanted to pull Baku into a corner where he’d finally have no choice but to fight back. But if Baekjin thought fear would win, he clearly didn’t know Baku as well as he used to.
The fight was set for Saturday. Earlier in the week, Sieun, Baku, and Gotak had asked you not to join, almost in unison.
“This one’s going to be bad.” Baku said, voice low. “You shouldn’t be anywhere near it.”
You knew they were right.
Not to be cliché, but you were a ballerina. You weren’t the violent type. You didn’t fight with your fists. Your world was built on discipline, control, the ache of movement, not the sting of bruises. They had told Juntae not to fight as well. He had argued at first, of course. Juntae wasn’t one to sit back when the rest of them were moving forward. But this time, they wouldn’t let him. Especially Gotak. He had pulled him aside early in the week, voice low but firm.
“You’ve done enough.” He said. “We need you safe.”
Juntae wasn’t the strongest physically, and he knew it. But mentally, he held them together. He was the one who always brought them back when they lost focus. The one who reminded them what mattered when things went too far. Without him, the group wouldn’t be what it was. He finally agreed on the condition that he could watch from afar with you, just in case things got out of control.
Saturday came by faster than you would have liked. The rain hadn’t stopped all day. The field was nothing but mud and gravel. You stood far from the fight, far enough to stay out of reach, but close enough to see everything. Beside you, Juntae stayed still under his umbrella, the rain tapping steady against the fabric. You gripped your own a little tighter, heart lodged somewhere in your throat.
Out on the field, boys from Eunjang gathered slowly, their silhouettes dark against the gray sky. Every single one of them wore their school uniform. The same navy blue blazer and white shirt with the striped tie. It wasn’t about school pride. It was about unity. About letting the Union know they weren’t scared. Not anymore.
Baku stood at the front, eyes fixed across the field. Gotak beside him, stone-faced. Sieun stood a little behind them, calm and unreadable. He didn’t look around. He just stared forward like he already knew exactly what had to be done.
The Union stood across from them. Less of them than expected. Word had gotten around, and many of their members had backed out at the last second. Maybe they realized Baekjin wasn’t invincible after all. Or maybe they just didn’t want to bleed for someone else’s pride.
And then Baku stepped forward. He raised his voice just enough to be heard through the storm.
“Na Beakjin!” He screamed
The Union’s leader didn’t move.
“If you lose.” Baku shouted. “This is the end of the Union!”
Baekjin tilted his head slightly, but didn’t answer to him. You saw his mouth move slightly, like he was talking to his gang members. You couldn’t understand from this far.
After that, a battle shout resounded and all the umbrellas dropped.
You saw the first punch fly. Then another. Then it became impossible to keep track.
You and Juntae stood frozen in place. Mud was splashing everywhere. Baku tore straight for Baekjin like nothing else mattered. Gotak crashed into a group like a wrecking ball, clearing space for his friends. And Sieun…
He fought like the rain didn’t touch him. Calm. Focused. Every hit with purpose. He didn’t shout or snarl like the others. He just moved. Quick and brutal and silent.
Baku and Baekjin stood across from each other now. Around them, the chaos kept going. There was fists and shouts and soaked uniforms slamming into mud… But this moment belonged to them. Old friends. Now enemies. You didn’t need to know all the history to feel the weight of it in the air.
Baku didn’t waste time.
He lunged first, going for Baekjin’s shoulders, quick and brutal. Every hit aimed high. You could tell he was trying to wear him down, knock the strength out of his arms before it built up. His fists were loud, messy, full of heat. The kind of fighting that looked like it came from the heart or maybe even the guts.
Baekjin’s moves were tighter, smarter. Everything was deadly precise. When he managed to land a hit, it made Baku stagger.
Still, Baku didn’t stop. Not until Baekjin caught him clean across the jaw.
You saw it happen. Baku’s knees giving out, his body dropping into the mud like it weighed twice as much. Your breath caught in your throat and you grabbed Juntae’s sleeve. Juntae didn’t say a word. He just lifted a trembling hand to his mouth, eyes glassy with disbelief
The rain halted abruptly, as though the sky itself had paused in anticipation.
Your umbrella hung limp at your side, water still dripping from the edges. You didn’t notice it anymore. Your eyes were fixed on the middle of the field, heart beating too fast to count.
Baekjin stepped over him, breath heavy.
“Who’s next?” He shouted, chest rising and falling. “Come on! I’ll take all of you!”
The rest of the field had gone still. Not a single punch thrown. They were all watching now.
Gotak took one step forward, fists already clenched.
But Sieun stopped him.
A single hand on the shoulder. Nothing more.
Gotak looked back, unsure for only a second. Then he let him pass.
Sieun stepped into the open without a word. No words. No expression. Just calm.
You gripped the fabric of your Juntae’s blazer.
He ducked the first swing with barely a flinch, wrapping around Baekjin’s leg like he’d studied every move in advance. Where Baku had gone for the upper body, Sieun went low. You saw the glint of metal in his fist — brass knuckles. He didn’t hesitate. He drove it into Baekjin’s leg, again and again, forcing him to buckle.
Baekjin staggered, but didn’t fall.
The two of them circled each other. This wasn’t the same as before. It wasn’t about power anymore. It was about two minds trying to out-think each other while their bodies gave out underneath them. Sieun hit Baekjin again, but he swung back fast, catching Sieun in the shoulder, then the ribs. Hard. You flinched.
You had stepped forward without realizing it.
“Sieun—!”
Juntae grabbed your wrist. “Don’t. Let him handle it.”
Your chest ached with how hard your heart was pounding. Your legs felt heavy, like the ground was pulling at your feet. All you could do was watch, barely blinking, eyes locked on Sieun as he took another blow and staggered back. You wanted to run to him when Baekjin landed another strike that sent him to the ground. Mud streaked across his face as he coughed, trying to breathe through the pain.
Baekjin walked up to him, blood at the corner of his mouth. “What is this?” He asked, voice hoarse. “Is this still part of your little plan, Sieun?”
Sieun turned his head slightly, dirt on his cheek. His voice was soft. “Still within the margin of error.”
And just as Baek-jin turned to look at him again —
Baku got back up.
You almost shouted.
He moved like a shadow out of the fog, face bloodied, jaw bruised, eyes burning. And then…one clean swing.
A punch to the side of Baekjin’s head.
It landed so hard you heard the crack echo across the field, like a branch snapping clean in two.
Baekjin hit the ground.
Then Baku stood over him, breathing hard. His voice was hoarse, quiet, but you heard it.
“I’m sorry.” He said, eyes sad. “But you should be sorry to me too.”
It was over.
The Union had fallen.
Cheers erupted from the Eunjang students behind you, the sound wild and raw.
Baku turned and looked at Sieun, still lying in the dirt. Without a word, he crouched and helped him up.
You and Juntae ran toward them. You couldn’t stay still anymore.
The rain had started again, light this time. Just a steady, cold drizzle, like the storm was finally winding down.
When you reached them, Sieun was on his feet, but just barely. His lip was split, blood at the corner of his mouth, and scratches ran along his cheek and jaw. Dirt clung to his uniform, and bruises were already blooming across his cheek. He still had the brass knuckles gripped tightly in one hand.
He was staring at Baekjin, who was still lying in the mud. Awake, but not moving. His face was streaked with tears, silent and steady, like he didn’t even realize he was crying.
There was no triumph on Sieun’s face. No pride.
Only pity.
And something else.
Like he’d seen this play out before, and already knew how it ended.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
Back at your apartment, the quiet felt heavier than usual. The fight was over, but it hadn’t really left either of you.
Sieun had just come out of the shower, a towel still hanging loose around his shoulders. His wet hair clung to his forehead, and the bruises stood out darker now, stark against his skin. You didn’t say anything. Just patted your bed and waited for him to sit.
He did, slowly, shoulders stiff. You knelt in front of him with the first aid kit, hands working in silence.
His knuckles were torn open, raw from the brass. You cleaned them gently, not looking up as he watched you. The scratches on his cheeks were superficial, but angry-looking. You pressed a cotton pad to each one and taped them without a word.
When you dabbed alcohol onto the cut on his lip, he flinched. AYou didn’t comment. Just moved slower after that. Careful. Steady.
For a while, neither of you spoke. The only sounds were the soft rustle of the bandages and the faint drip of water from his hair hitting the floor.
“I know it wasn’t easy.” You said quietly. “But I’m proud of you.”
His eyes flicked up, surprised.
“Not because you won.” You added. “But because you stood up for everyone. You didn’t have to, but you did anyway.”
Sieun looked down again, jaw tight.
You hesitated, then went on. “Baekjin… I don’t think he’s the monster everyone says he is. He looked… lost, honestly.”
His fingers twitched slightly at that, but he didn’t interrupt.
“But that doesn’t excuse what he did.” You said, voice steady. “People go through awful things — I get that. But it doesn’t give them the right to hurt everyone around them because of it.”
Sieun looked at you, quiet. There was no surprise in his eyes…just a tired sort of understanding, like he’d already been thinking the same thing.
“I’m just glad you were the one who stepped up.” You continued. “Because you didn’t fight out of pride. You fought because you cared.”
You didn’t press him for a response. You just kept tending to him in silence, dabbing gently at the cut on his lip, brushing antiseptic over the scrapes along his knuckles.
You handed him a couple of painkillers and a glass of water, and he took them without a word. Then you grabbed the ice pack you’d left on the nightstand and pressed it lightly to the bruise forming beneath his eye.
A few seconds passed like that, his eyes on yours, the cold pack resting between your fingers, and your hand on his face like it was the most natural thing in the world.
Then, softly, like it was the only thing left to say, he murmured. “I love you.”
You just looked at him for a moment, then smiled.
“I know.” You said. “I love you too.”
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
You woke up to the sound of quiet breathing and the soft weight of an arm around your waist. The room was still, dim with early light. For a while, you just stayed there, letting yourself feel it.
Sieun was asleep next to you, lying close. His body was warm against yours, solid. Familiar. His face still carried the traces of the fight. There were bruises along his cheekbone, a swollen lip, fading red scratches near his jaw, but none of it took away from how pretty he looked.
You shifted slightly, careful not to wake him. His grip tightened, just a little, like his body was used to holding onto yours. Carefully, you reached up and pushed a strand of hair away from his face and smiled to yourself.
You’d shared a bed before, more than once, but this time felt different. Being next to him wasn’t just comforting…it made something inside you feel steady. Like you’d been holding your breath without realizing, and now you could finally let it out.
You looked at him again, at the mess of his dark hair falling across his forehead, the rise and fall of his chest. And just for a moment, you let yourself think it…
Waking up next to Sieun might be your favorite thing in the world.
Sieun stirred beside you, a quiet shift of the blanket and a faint scrunch of his brow as he blinked awake. His voice was still rough with sleep when he let out a low, muffled sound.
You laughed, barely, and leaned in to press a light kiss to his cheek, careful not to touch the bruised parts. “Morning.” You whispered.
He didn’t respond right away, just looked at you with half-lidded eyes, like he was still trying to figure out where he was. His body was slow to move, stiff from the fight, but he didn’t flinch when you shifted away.
“I’ll get your meds.” You said quietly, slipping out from under the covers.
In the kitchen, you filled a glass of water and grabbed the painkillers. When you returned, he had sat up slightly, resting against the headboard with one arm draped across his stomach.
“Do you want more ice for your bruises?” You asked.
He took the medication without complaining this time, his fingers brushing yours. Then he shook his head. “I’ll be okay.” His voice was rougher than usual, but steady. You sat down on the edge of the bed and held out the glass of water.
He took the glass, brushing your hand in the process, and swallowed the pills without a word. You watched his throat move, his busted lip stretching slightly as he drank. He winced, but didn’t say anything. He gave the glass back with a small nod of thanks, still drowsy, his body heavy with leftover exhaustion.
Without thinking, your fingers drifted up into his hair, lightly combing through the soft strands. He didn’t speak. He just let out a slow, contented sigh and closed his eyes, his body relaxing more with each pass of your hand. It was subtle, but you could feel it…the way he leaned into your touch like he needed it.
When you paused for just a moment, his eyes cracked open and he let out a quiet, disappointed groan.
You laughed, shaking your head. “That good, huh?”
He smirked faintly, eyes fluttering closed again. “Don’t stop.”
Your hand stayed in his hair, gentle and slow, until you felt the tension completely leave his body.
“You’re staring.” He said softly, voice still rough with sleep.
“Yeah.” You murmured, not bothering to deny it. “You’re pretty. Even like this.”
He gave a tired, crooked smile. “That’s not true.”
You leaned in just a little, thumb brushing the edge of his jaw. “It is.”
He didn’t say anything to that, just watched you, the softness in his eyes growing deeper by the second. And when you leaned closer, carefully and slowly, he didn’t pull back.
Your lips pressed the lightest kiss to the uninjured side of his mouth, just a brush of warmth. He let out a small breath, almost like a sigh, and his hand found your hip under the blanket.
Sieun’s fingers curled slightly and he pulled you just a little closer. His eyes were still half-lidded, and the way he looked at you now, steady and drawn in, sent a warmth spreading through your chest.
Then he leaned in again, this time aiming for more than just a soft brush. You felt the shift in him, the way he tilted his head slightly, searching for a deeper kiss.
You stopped him with a hand on his chest. “Sieun.” You said gently, a quiet laugh in your voice. “You’re still healing. Your lip—”
“I’m fine. I swear.” He murmured, voice low, almost a whisper against your skin.
You looked at him for a moment, searching his face for even a flicker of pain. But there was only that same calm certainty he always showed when he meant what he said.
Still careful, you leaned in again, slowly and cautiously, meeting him halfway. And this time, he kissed you fully. A little clumsy, a little careful, but real.
The kiss deepened slowly, breath catching between the pauses. His hand slid up your back, deliberate and warm, before settling at your jaw. When he kissed you again, it wasn’t cautious anymore. It was hungry in a way that made your pulse skip.
You barely noticed the shift in position until you felt the mattress dip and his weight press more firmly against you. Sieun laid you gently onto your back, his hand bracing beside your head. His lips hovered above yours, his breath uneven.
“I want you.” He said, voice low and a little hoarse.
Your breath caught in your throat. The weight of his words settled over you, not heavy, but warm, like something long-awaited and real. You searched his face. His eyes didn’t waver. Even with the cut on his lip, the fading bruises, the exhaustion still clinging to him, he looked at you like you were the only thing he could see.
You nodded slowly. “I want you.” You said, your voice soft, barely above a whisper. Then you added. “I want you too.”
His shoulders eased, his eyes darkened, and he exhaled like he’d been holding his breath this entire time. Sieun’s gaze dropped to your mouth, and he kissed you again. Your fingers found his hair. He sighed into the kiss, letting it pull him closer until there was hardly any space between you.
His hand slid under the hem of your shirt, palm warm against your skin. You gasped softly, the sound swallowed by his mouth. The tenderness from earlier melted into something needier, more urgent.
You kissed along his jaw, avoiding the worst of his injuries. He let out a low breath, almost a groan, his hands gripping your waist tighter.
“Tell me if I hurt you.” You whispered.
“You won’t.” He breathed. “I’ll tell you. Just—don’t stop.”
You could hear the slight catch in his breathing every time your fingers moved through his hair. His sighs were low and soft, almost like they slipped out without permission, like the sensation was too much to hold in.
His hand traced along your ribs with reverence, fingertips trembling slightly when he glazed your naked breast. You arched into him as his lips traveled to the corner of your jaw, then lower, grazing your neck with barely-there kisses that made your skin feel too tight, too hot.
His fingers brushed the edge of your shirt again, slower this time, deliberate. He paused, giving you a chance to pull away, but you didn’t. Instead, you lifted your arms in silent permission. Sieun helped you out of it carefully, as if the fabric itself were something delicate. Next came your underwear.
You felt his gaze, but it wasn’t heavy. It was tender. His breath caught, but he didn’t rush. His hands stayed warm and steady, resting lightly on your waist.
“You’re beautiful.” He said, voice barely audible.
In response, your hands reached for the hem of his shirt. He didn’t hesitate, letting you lift it over his head and toss it aside. His skin was warm under your touch, his chest rising and falling just a little faster now. Faint bruises still lingered along his ribs.
Sieun sat back slightly, his gaze holding yours. He didn’t speak, but the question was clear in his eyes. Is this still okay?
You met his look and nodded once, slow and certain. That was all he needed.
Without a word, Sieun shifted just enough to hook his thumbs into the waistband of his pajama pants. He slid them down and off in one smooth motion, dropping them carelessly to the floor.
He leaned down to kiss you again, slower this time. His mouth moved gently against yours, deepening the kiss as his tongue brushed softly past your lips. Your hand moved lower, slipping beneath the waistband of his boxers.
He tensed for a moment, caught between surprise and the rush of sensation, but then exhaled, eyes fluttering shut as he melted into your touch. Your fingers wrapped around him, stroking his length as he moaned into your mouth. You pumped him from base to tip, running your thumb over the wet patch at the head of his cock, making him shuttered.
In return, he lowered his hand from your waist, down to your crotch, the motion a little clumsy. You heard him cursed when his fingers came in contact with your heat. He found what made you breathe deeper, what made your fingers tighten, and his hesitation began to fade. Each reaction from you seemed to guide him, steadying his hands and calming his nerves. His finger pressed onto your clit, placing careful pressure before working it in a circle. His movements grew more sure, but never careless. Every shift of his hand, every kiss against your neck... He wasn’t rushing.
He slipped a finger inside and you gasped in his mouth, tightening your grip on him. He started pumping slowly, curling his fingers inside you, your wetness helping him with his movements. A whine flew from your lips as he hit the spongy spot inside you, making your entire body twitch.
“S-Sieun.” You cried when he added another finger and curled it.
Sieun pulled back from the kiss, his lips barely parted, his breath uneven. But he didn’t move far. He hovered just above you, eyes locked on your face.
You could feel the weight of his gaze, the way it traced over every part of you. Your flushed cheeks, the parting of your lips, the soft rise and fall of your chest… He was looking at you with awe. Like he couldn’t believe he was the reason you looked like this.
He tilted his head just a little, the corners of his mouth lifting in the faintest hint of a smile. “You feel good?” He asked, voice low and just a little teasing.
Your lips curved into the barest smile, and you gave a small nod. “Yeah.” you whispered. “I do.”
Sieun’s eyes softened. He exhaled slowly, as though that one word had undone whatever tension he still carried. His hand rose to your face, fingertips brushing your cheek, then tucking your hair behind your ear. “Let me take care of you.” He said as he removed my hand from his boxers, away from his hardened cock.
You started to protest, but when he started pumping his fingers faster, curling them inside at just the right angle, a strangled sound left your throat. Your eyes closed and your body arched in response. You tried to close your legs in reflex, but Sieun held you open for him. Your knees were pressed against his thighs, the strength of them effectively holding them open, restricting any movement.
His fingers fuck in and out of you faster and faster, circling your clit in a matching pace with his thumb. You were soaked at this point, wetness dripping down the side of your thighs.
A slow, pulsing heat built low in your stomach, spreading through you like a wave. Your body felt flushed, every nerve lit with anticipation. From above, Sieun let out a low hum and the sound alone sent a shiver skimming down your spine.
Your fingers curled tight into the sheets, knuckles pale with tension, eyes still closed. “You’re so good to me.” You gasped, your voice airy and trembling. “Thank you… thank you,” You repeated, the words slipping out in broken whispers as the heat built inside you, rushing towards your climax.
A groan slipped from Sieun’s mouth as he quickened his pace, breath catching. The room filled with the slick, rhythmic sounds between you…. wet, breathless, raw — blending with your moans.
Your gaze flicked up to Sieun, and for a moment, you forgot how to breathe. His brow was faintly furrowed, jaw tight, as if he was carefully holding himself together. He was watching you, reading you. Every breath, every sound you made mattered. Like he didn’t want to miss a single part of you unraveling beneath him. His hand didn’t waver. He moved with quiet confidence now, like instinct had taken over.
His eyes stayed on yours, wide and unblinking, lit with a kind of quiet intensity. That look, those beautiful eyes of his, your favorite thing about him, held so much in them now. Not just focus, not just care, but something deeper. It felt like he was trying to hold you together with just his gaze, even as you were starting to fall apart beneath him.
Chorus of moans left your mouth, and you felt yourself slipping, your body tensing under the growing wave. Sieun’s gaze, locked with yours, full of warmth and something unspoken, held you there as you finally climax.
Your body shook uncontrollably, thighs tensing underneath his as intense pleasure crashed through you. Sieun’s fingers continued to fuck you throughly, only slowing when your hands went up and scratches his shoulder, your whole body twitching in overstimulation.
His name tumbled from your lips just as he leaned in, capturing your mouth in a kiss that was all heat and desperation. His tongue pushed past your lips with a hunger that made your breath catch, the kiss messy and deep, like he couldn’t get close enough fast enough.
The room felt too small for how much heat passed between you. His mouth moved from yours to your neck, your shoulder, then back again, each kiss more urgent than the last.
Sieun backed away to fully removed his underwear. His cock sprang free, pre-cum running down to his base. He pumped himself a few times, spreading the wetness evenly.
“I don’t have a condom.” He said suddenly, eyes wide in realization.
“Don’t need one,” You whispered, breath hitching as your legs pulled him in closer. “I’m on the pill.”
You saw relief flashes in his eyes for a second. Slowly, still giving you time to pull away if you changed your mind, he spread your legs further and let himself rest against your pussy. With one hand, he tapped the tip of his solid cock on your swollen clit before rubbing it up and down your slit, lining up with your entrance. You shuttered at the contact. He presses his lips to your forehead as he slowly pushed inside, easing you into gently.
Your hands found his hair, fingers tightening as the ache of the stretch settled in. It was sharp at first, pulling a soft gasp from your throat. But slowly, steadily, the pain began to dull, warmth overtaking the sting. You were grateful he’d taken his time, that his fingers had eased you open before this. He pressed in deeper, slow and steady, until you felt completely full. There was no space left between you.
Sieun stayed still for a moment, his forehead resting lightly against yours, his breath uneven against your cheek. His arms trembled slightly where they held him up, muscles tense, like he was holding himself back with everything he had. You could see it in the way his jaw clenched, in the way his brows pulled together. He was fighting the urge to move, afraid of pushing too far, of hurting you.
His eyes met yours, soft and searching.
“Are you okay?” He asked quietly, his voice low and careful, but so full of feeling it made your chest ache.
You nodded, your fingers brushing against his cheek, grounding him. “I’m okay.” You whispered back. “Please, move.”
He nodded slowly, biting his lower lip. When he moved again, it was careful and tender. His lips found your cheek, then your jaw, then just beneath your ear, leaving soft, lingering kisses in his wake. Each one felt like a quiet promise. You felt his breath stutter, heard the soft sounds slipping from his throat. It was helpless, like he couldn’t hold them back.
You turned your face into his neck, your lips brushing his skin as you breathed out. “You feel so good.”
Sieun let out a broken moan, one hand slipping to your waist to hold you more firmly, more securely, but still with that same gentleness. The love in his touch was undeniable. It wrapped around you just as tightly as his fingers did.
The rhythm between you began to shift. It was still tender, but deeper now, more insistent. Sieun’s breath hitched as he adjusted his grip on your waist, drawing you a little closer beneath him. His movements grew more fluid, not driven by urgency, but by a need to feel you fully. To be closer. To give you everything he could.
You felt it in the way his hips moved, more certain now. In the low, quiet sounds falling from his mouth, soft and aching, almost reverent. His forehead rested against yours for a breath, his eyes fluttering shut as if the feeling overwhelmed him too. He set a steady pace, rolling his hips into you over and over, the feeling of him pumping in and out of you felt euphoric
Your body moved with his naturally, like you were made for this closeness. He kissed you again, messier this time, his lips parting yours with more heat and more need. His left hand cupped one of your breasts in his wide palm, running his thumb over your nipple. Your head was spinning, lost in the pleasure he was giving you. Your legs wrapped around his waist, and you cried out when he reached deeper, hitting a delicious spot inside of you that made you incredibly wetter.
He whispered your name once, barely audible, like it had slipped out without meaning to. Like it was a prayer he didn’t know he was saying.
When your eyes opened to meet his again, the pace didn’t falter. If anything, it grew more intense. Sieun found both of your hands and pinned them beside your head, his fingers laced with yours. Your bodies moved in sync, fast and slow all at once, dizzying yet steady, grounded in the way he held you like he couldn’t bear to let go. The upward curve of his cock continued to hit that spot inside of you and you felt the tension in your stomach growing incredibly tensed, like it was about to snap.
You hold Sieun’s hand harder. “I’m gonna cum.” You whimpered, lips trembling. He cursed when you squeezed tightly around him. The sound of skin slapping echoed through the room, and your gasps turned to full on cries as he pounded into you more eagerly.
You moaned into the shell of his ear as the pressure blew, your whole body tensing before letting go. Sieun fucked you through it, helping you ride the wave of your toe-curling orgasm. He buried his face in your neck as his hips lost their rhythm, messily and urgently pumping into you now. His hips came to an abrupt stop as he released into you, multiple desperate whimpers leaving his mouth. You could feel the twitching of his cock as warmth filled deep inside your belly.
You untangled your hands, sliding one into his hair and the other across his back, pulling him closer as your chests rose and fell with heavy breaths. Both of you were breathless, your skin damp with sweat. His face remained buried in your neck, and your legs hung loosely around his waist. You pressed a tender kiss to the side of his head. “I love you.” You whispered, quiet and shaky.
The words hung between you, delicate but powerful. For a second, Sieun didn’t move, like they were sinking into him, wrapping around whatever was left of his breathless high. Then he slowly lifted his head from your neck. His hair was damp with sweat, his cheeks flushed and his eyes were dazed with afterglow. They looked softer than you’d ever seen them. Full of something open and unguarded. Tender.
He leaned in and kissed you. Slow this time. Not desperate or hungry like before, but sweet. “I love you too.” He said, voice low and rough around the edges, but deep with emotion.
Neither of you moved for a long time after that.
✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏✎﹏﹏﹏﹏
A few months after….
You walked hand in hand with Sieun, your steps slow and tired after the long day at school. The sun hung low in the sky, casting a golden light over everything. The weather was perfect, the kind that made you forget all your worries for a little while. Baku, Gotak, and Juntae walked beside you, their laughter echoing through the street as they teased one another. Everything felt easy and happy.
Then Sieun’s phone rang.
He glanced at the screen and picked up, answering with a quiet. “Hello?” At first, his expression barely changed, but then something shifted. A flicker of confusion passed through his eyes, then widened into disbelief.
When the call ended, he turned to all of you, his voice unsteady but clear. “He’s awake.”
That was all he said before grabbing your hand and running. The others followed without hesitation.
You arrived at the hospital breathless, your feet skidding to a stop outside in the courtyard. There, sitting in a wheelchair beneath the spring sun, was Suho. He wore a gray sweatshirt over his hospital clothes, pale but alive, his head tilted slightly in the breeze.
You slowly slipped your hand from Sieun’s and gave him the softest nudge forward.
He didn’t rush. He moved like the world had slowed down, like he wasn’t sure if what he saw was real. Suho suddenly turned his head and saw him.
“How’s it going?” He said, as casually as if no time had passed at all.
Sieun froze for a moment, overwhelmed. Suho’s gaze drifted past him to the group gathered behind, and he raised an eyebrow.
“Who are they?”
Sieun turned slightly to glance back at all of you, then looked at you a moment longer.
“My friends.” He said. Then, quieter, more certain. “And my girlfriend.”
Suho’s lips curled into a tired smile, eyes crinkling with quiet joy. He had always wanted one thing for Sieun—to not be alone, to find his own kind of happiness. And now, standing there with all of you behind him, Sieun had found it.
“That’s good to see.” Suho said softly.
Sieun didn’t answer with words.
He just smiled.

A Year with Duck Prints Press: Our 2024 Publications
Tumblr media
We’ve had a busy year at Duck Prints Press – we published two anthologies, a novella, a novel, and moved many other projects along. All except our most recent, A Truth Universally Acknowledged, are available from our webstore and from many other retail and library sources. 46 short stories also debuted to our Patreon as new releases exclusively available to our backers, bringing the total number of titles available to our Patrons up to 94 stories. Many of our past titles are now available in print (instead of digital-only), including about half the short stories on our webpage (zines only sold when we vend in person, currently!) and our four novelettes (which can all be purchased online). And we didn’t only create books – our Mythical Creature Pride pins and stickers were a flagship art project for the year, and we’ve released 5 monthly art pieces exclusive to our Patrons. Basically: we’ve had an awesome year, made a ton of amazing stuff, and we’re so so glad that y’all have been along with us for the ride.

Aether Beyond the Binary
How would Earth look if the very atoms around us were suffused with magical aether? How would our lives be different if this aether was discovered last year, or last century, or last millennia? How might the people who lived with this magic explore their gender identities? These are the questions we posed to the 17 authors who contributed to Aether Beyond the Binary. Their inventive answers comprise this must-not-miss collection about magical realms, adventures and mysteries, new chances and well-earned endings, and characters as gender-diverse as the worlds they inhabit.

Hockey Bois by A. L. Heard
Nick Porter has always loved hockey. Ever since he can remember, it’s been his favorite thing in the world. It’s too bad he never learned to play, he’d tell himself, but it was too late to do it now. Adults don’t just magically learn to skate and join a hockey team. That’d be ridiculous.
Except maybe they do? On a whim, he decides to sign up for an adult  beginner’s class. He learns to skate, joins a team, and meets a really hot teammate… and it’s pretty much a disaster from there on out.

Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica
For those who love their short stories spicy, we’re delighted to bring you Duck Prints Press’s debut explicit anthology Many Hands: An Anthology of Polyamorous Erotica. In this collection of brand-new stories, we celebrate many flavors of polyamory. Orgy? Yes please! Ménage à trois? C’est magnifique! Foursomes and moresomes? Delighted to attend! We asked our contributors to blow our minds with their fun combinations, unusual settings, favorite trope usage, and (of course) super sexy smut—and they didn’t disappoint. From a vampire free-for-all to a heartfelt reunion, from surprise soulmates to enemies-to-lovers, this collection has polyamory in lots of scrumptious varieties that lovers of erotica won’t want to miss!

Scrap Metal Angel by Nicola Kapron
Reality, tiny and fragile, is cut off from the sea of chaos and nightmares that surrounds it by seven Gates. One of them is open—and has been since the Stone Age. Through that opening, strange creatures and energies slip through. Some are malevolent. None are harmless. And all of them must be kept a secret.
Every hidden magical world needs a shadowy clean-up crew. Adrian Somer is a Gatekeeper, sworn to protect the cosmic Gates, to defend reality from the unknown entities that exist beyond them, and to help those whose lives are affected by magic.
When a grieving sorceress starts punching holes in reality to try and resurrect her murdered fiancé, Adrian must turn to a ghost from his past in order to save the city, and perhaps the world—even if that means digging up someone he thought was safely buried: the twin brother he killed eight years ago.

A Truth Universally Acknowledged: Queer Fanworks Inspired by Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” With this third installment in our “Queer Fanworks Inspired By…” anthology series, we set out to explore the truth by which we at Duck Prints Press live: that a classic work without a single canonically queer character must be in want of a very LGBTQIA+ makeover! “A Truth Universally Acknowledged: Queer Fanworks Inspired by Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice,'” with 21 short stories and 20 full-page color artworks, is just that. 38 creators have contributed to this project, drawing inspiration from Pride and Prejudice’s characters and story to create delightful, thoughtful, intriguing, and (of course) very queer fanworks and Pride and Prejudice-inspired original works. For this collection, we encouraged our creators to focus on Sapphic/wlw relationships and/or transgender and genderqueer interpretations for their inspiration, though those are definitely not the only types of queer we’ve fit into this diverse collection.
Happy New Year, everyone! We wish you the best for 2025!

Sweet Secret (Levi Ackerman x Reader)
Tumblr media
Pairing: Levi Ackerman x F! Reader CEO Levi Ackerman coming in hot. I've been wanting to write a CEO Levi/Sugar daddy Levi story for a hot minute. Enjoy! Summary: You needed a job. Ackerman Inc was hiring for an in house assistant for none other than the CEO: Levi Ackerman. He's known to be essentially the worst to work with, you decide to take the job and take on the challenge that is Levi Ackerman. Will your relationship remain professional, or will their be monetary value added to the stakes? Or possibly even... love? ao3 Chapter Seven: Paradise
The morning of your flight to Cabo you could not be more nervous. You’ve never been on a plane and decided to jump down the rabbit hole that is the internet and research airplanes.
Big mistake.
Levi decided an early morning flight was best, even though you would’ve loved to have slept in.
Levi checked you in and checked the bags. You ordered a lot online with the money Levi gave you, including some more risqué items that Ymir and Historia recommended.
After breezing through TSA (of course Levi Ackerman has TSA Pre-Check) it was time to wait at the gate for your flight. Your stomach was in knots thinking about being in the air for a couple of hours.
“Are you okay?” Levi nudged you with his left elbow. “You’re quiet. That’s not like you.”
“Are you trying to say I talk a lot?”
“I’m saying you ask an awful lot of questions.”
“I’m okay. I’ve just never been on a plane before.”
“It’ll be okay, I promise.” Levi reassured you as he brought his attention to his phone. You saw a text from Erwin pop up.
Erwin: Don’t do anything stupid, please. She’s a good girl.
You look away quickly, knowing you should’ve minded your own business. What Levi says to Erwin, or anyone for that matter is none of your business.
Soon enough you were at your seats on the plane. Levi got first class. You don’t know what that means but it sounds fancy.
You sink in your seat as your heart starts to race when you hear the plane making noises.
“Hey,” Levi whispered, pressing his hand on top of yours. “You’re okay. I’m here.” He laced his fingers with yours and squeezed gently. You nod, looking out the window at runway.
Take off isn’t bad. Once your eats pop, you’re as good as gold. You don’t like the feeling in your chest when the plane tilts upwards, but you get over it.
Levi took his hand off yours once the seatbelt signs were off. You can’t help but miss his touch already.
The plane ride is about 5 hours - perfect time for a nap.
__________________
The hotel is gorgeous. Stunning, even. It’s like a hotel you see rich people go to in movies. There are several pools, palm trees, and more. The water is blue and the sand is almost white.
“Welcome to paradise!” An overly excited employee runs up to you and Levi.
Levi looks less than impressed.
“Can we just check in?” Levi’s tone is flat. Even in a gorgeous place, Levi’s attitude is the same.
“Absolutely sir. What’s your name?”
“Levi Ackerman.”
“Oh! Mr. Ackerman! You and your wife got upgraded to our best suite. It’s top of the line!”
Wife?
“Thank you.” Levi grabbed the room keys off the counter. “Tell Oscar I said thank you too.”
Levi carried your bags along with his up to the room. When he swiped the key card and opened the door - you swear you could have fainted. This room was as big as the apartment you lived in growing up.
As you walk in, you notice one bed.
“Levi…” You turn to him. “There’s only one bed.”
“Well I didn’t book this one, Oscar upgraded us out of the kindness of his heart.” Levi used air quotes. “The one I booked had 2 beds. So don’t blame me.”
One bed? You’ve shared the same house with Levi for a while now, but a bed? And you’ve never even really touched him?
Once you and Levi get settled in, you start to crave the sun.
“Let’s go outside! Tan, drink a little, maybe swim!”
“I don’t tan.” Levi peered up at you, taking his eyes off his phone screen.
“Can you get off your phone for a bit please?” You put your hands on your hips. “I didn’t come here to watch you play on your phone.”
“So what did you come here for?” Levi shoves his phone in his pocket and stands up. He walks towards you, eliminating the space between you.
“You say I ask a lot of questions, but I think it’s really you who asks most of them.” You turn around, unzipping your bag. “I’m gonna change and so are you. I’ll be in the bathroom.” You pull out your bikini and sandals.
When you emerge from the bathroom, Levi’s eyes are glued to you. He watches your thick thighs as you walk towards him. You’re wearing the bikini he specifically said he liked: high on the thigh, stringy, and barely leaving anything to the imagination.
Levi is wearing a white t-shirt with khaki colored shorts paired with sandals. His mouth is slightly open as he gazes at you.
“Ready?!” You smile as you grab your beach bag.
“Are you gonna wear a cover up?” Levi’s cheeks turned a light shade of red.
“Why? It’s hot out.”
“Because…”
“Because why?” You tilt your head to the side, placing your hands on your hips.
Levi takes a few step towards you and leans down until his lips touch your ear. “Because I can’t promise I can control myself if you don’t put something on in the next 2 minutes.”
You can’t help but smirk knowing you’re affecting him this way. You spin yourself around, giving him a full look at your ass.
“Do you want to leave this room?” Levi sucked his teeth.
“Fine.” You roll your eyes, grabbing a black dress to put over your body. “Better?”
“Barely. Lets go.” His tone was back to being serious.
Sometimes you really can’t tell if this man wants to fuck you or just wants to be your friend.
_______________
“Levi, come in!” You swim in front of Levi as he reads his book on the lounge chair.
“No.” He doesn’t even look up from what page he’s on.
“It’s 95 degrees, how can you even stand to just lay in the heat?!” You place your hands on the pool edge. “You won’t come swimming at all with me?”
“Maybe in… 3 days.” Levi held up 3 fingers. “Leave me alone so I can finish my book.”
You huff and turn yourself around to swim to the swim-up bar. You take a seat and order some fruity drink that sounded cute.
“Well hello there. Aren’t you a sight for sore eyes.” A man pushed his glasses to the bridge of his nose.
“Thank you.” You take a sip of your drink. The man isn’t ugly by any means, so you decide to entertain a conversation. “Where are you from?” You ask, placing your drink on the counter.
“I’m from California. You?”
“Wow, all the way on the west coast. I’m from New York.”
“A New Yorker! That’s crazy, you don’t have an accent or anything.” The man leaned forward towards you as he spoke. “My name is Ryan.”
You told him your name, and the conversation continued.
As you talk, you feel a hand push you gently into… a hard surface.
That hard surface was Levi Ackerman’s upper body. You look up and see those slate eyes burning a hole in Ryan’s head.
Ryan seems to catch on to what Levi is trying to insinuate, even though no words were exchanged.
“Dude, my bad! I didn’t know she was with you.” Ryan put his hands up. “I swear! The conversation was innocent!”
Levi put his other hand on your other hip, gripping you tightly.
“She is a sight for sore eyes, right?” He tilts his head to the right, glaring at Ryan.
Then Ryan was gone.
“You swam!!” You spin your body to face Levi. You sit down on the seat in front of the bar and stare up at him. He is well sculpted, his abdominals carved out and his chest strong.
“I did.” Levi pushed a piece of hair behind your ear.
“Levi, I-“ Your words get caught in your throat. The way he looks right now, with water dripping off his skin and his hair messy has you speechless.
“What’s your favorite color?” You blurt out. Smooth move.
“Navy blue. Yours is… black?”
“Technically… no. My favorite color is actually sage green.”
“Any other questions? Get them out now while I’m in a good mood.”
“What’s your favorite food?”
“Pasta.”
“I knew it!!” You smile at his response, putting your hand in a fist. “I told you!”
“Are you gonna tell me yours or do I have to fish it out of you?”
“Hmmmmm.” You tap your chin with your index finger. “Does ice cream count?”
“I guess it can.” Levi chuckled, letting out a real smile. You watched his mouth curve upwards, revealing his teeth.
For the first time, you saw Levi Ackerman’s teeth. You made him laugh. A genuine laugh.
A low chuckle escaped his throat as he caressed your cheek gently. “You are so cute.”
You have never wanted to kiss anyone more than you do right now. You would love to pull Levi down, straddle his waist, and attached your mouth to his.
But you can’t. If Levi wants something, he needs to make the first move.
His lips grazed your ear as he whispered. “I can’t stop staring at you.” Levi brings his other hand on the opposite side of the ear his whispering into. “Your thighs are… hypnotizing.”
You bite your lip and turn your head to the side.
“Don’t get shy. No one knows us here.” He grabs your chin between his index finger and thumb, pulling you to face him. “We can be whoever we want to be here.”
“Whoever?” You search Levi’s eyes for a lifeline. Your body is craving him almost desperately. Goosebumps populate your skin as he touches you.
“Whoever. Who do you want to be?” You swear you could feel his tongue on your earlobe.
“I want to be a woman that’s kissed by you.” You lean into the palm of his hand as your heart rate increases.
Levi says nothing. He moves his face in front of you, letting his nose slightly touch yours. His lips are so close.
“You want me to kiss you, princess?” He whispers.
“Mhm.” You nod, almost giving in to the temptation. He knows exactly what he’s doing.
“Say please.” Levi’s lips are grazing yours, the touch sending electric shocks throughout your body.
“Please, Levi.” You almost whine.
“So spoiled I made you, hm?” Levi buries his fingers in your hair as he sits down. He pulls you to him, letting your legs wrap around his waist under the water.
Levi’s hand runs over the front side of your body - your stomach, your chest, to your neck. He gently grabs your neck to bring you close to him again. His fingers gently squeeze the sides of your neck, a gasp escaping your throat. Your lips are plump, begging to be touched.
Finally, Levi presses his lips to yours. You swear your brain short circuited. His lips are so soft, but so… perfect. You wrap your arms around his neck, pressing the back of your thighs to the tops of his.
His tongue licks your bottom lip, begging for entry. You oblige, letting his tongue explore your mouth. You moan against his lips at the contact. Levi’s large hands move down to your ass, giving it a gently squeeze before he pulls away.
You can’t help but whine when you lose his lips.
“That’s it for now.” He kisses your cheek gently.
“You’re such a tease.” You pout, pushing yourself off of him to the seat you were in a few minutes ago.
“I’m teaching you patience. I can’t have you acting like a spoiled brat. If I do everything you want, that’s what you’ll be.”
“Two can play at that game.”

Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were invited to a pool party by one of your close friends, she had a house to herself and a huge backyard with a pool, hot tub, and some space in the back that had fresh green grass. You been to her house before to hang out and do projects for school and study as-well, this wasn’t new she loved to party. “Hey y/n! You coming to my pool party at 8?!” she said over the phone. “Yeah i’m getting ready right now.” It was 7pm and you were getting ready for the pool party. You had a crush on this dude name Jack. Jack hanma. He was big, buff and tall not many girls or people in general liked him, but on the other hand you did. “I wonder if he’s coming” you said in your head.
You had got up from the couch and headed over to your bedroom, you had went into your closet and saw this cute bathing suit you bought online not so long it was a bikini (in any color) it was your favorite color too. “The baddest bitch is on her way.” you said grabbing the bathing suit. You got done changing and went to go look in the mirror, there you saw a bad bitch with a swimsuit who hugged you tight showing off your curves. You put on sunscreen you grabbed your beach bag that had a towel, sunglasses a hat and your phone. You put a pair of extra clothes over you and headed out, your friend lived in a gated neighborhood you typed in the code and the gates opened.
When driving to your destination you saw huge ass houses that were literally mansions, you pulled into the street she lived at and you instantly knew which house was hers because of how much cars there were and because you’ve been over there countless of times. You parked on the side of the street since her driveway was full, you got out and you could hear the music from the backyard, You walked up to the front door with your purse on your shoulder. You rang the doorbell a couple of times because nobody could hear you but the door opened in the background were people dancing with drinks in there hands, games, food…ect. When you opened the door your friend had opened the door, “Hey y/n! Thanks for coming!!!” she said opening the door for you to come in, you walked in and boy was it crowded.
You went upstairs and into her room and took your extra pair of clothes off and walked off in your bikini. Everyone turned there heads as you were walking outside. Outside had people doing water ballon fights, water guns, people in the hot tubs and the pool. There were also beach chairs with umbrellas that you could rest on, you placed your sunglasses, towel and phone down. You walked towards the pool and sat down on the edge placing on your feet in the water. You were having a blast talking to friends and making jokes. That was until you saw a familiar tall blonde figure walk out. And there he was, Jack hanma had came to the pool party he had swim trunks and a towel.
You friends were smirking at you as they rolled there eyes laughing at you, he had placed his stuff down on a beach chair that was next yours. You were just like a statue staring at him with every chance you had. Jack wasn’t really a social person so it wasn’t very common to see him at places like this. This is your chance y/n. Just get your ass up and go talk to him. You said repeating in your head, you had got up and slowly walked towards him. He was laying down on the beach chair watching everyone. You had walked to him fiddling with your fingers. He had looked away and looked at you and then at your body and back up lifting one eyebrow up at you. “Is it okay if I can sit here?” you said nervously. “Yeah sure.” His voice was always deep, “So what made you come here because I never see you at events like this.” You said confused, “Well I haven’t done anything for a long time so I wanted to see what was the hype about.” He said looking at you.
You guys continued to talk as time passed you started to go checkout the bar with Jack. There you guys talked about y’all’s interests and other things, but that vodka drink got you real good. There were doing karaoke and people were hopping on the stage singing and dancing there hearts out. “Jackkkk I think i’m gonna go on the stage” You said hugging his muscular arm. “Okay have fun” he said chuckling. He watched you in the stage until this one particular song came on. And did you steal the mic? Yes you did. You were singing your heart at and people were cheering you on. Your favorite part was coming on, you saw jack smiling at you crossing his arms. You looked him directly in his eyes and sang. “Take all of me, I just wanna be the girl you like.”
