2ND ANNUAL BEN CHARITY STREAM

Hello everyone, I will be doing another charity live stream on December 19th at 8AM EST to December 20th at 8AM EST. This is the second annual fundraiser I have done in honor of my friend Ben, who passed tragically in May 2023.

Last year, we raised $1300 for Ben's family, which was absolutely incredible. This year, in honor of Ben's absolute amazing talent and passion for the organ, I will be donating the proceeds to the Young Organist Collaborative. They are dedicated to teaching the next generation of organists in New England. Ben was from that area, and he took pipe organ lessons growing up, so I thought it would be a great fit.

To answer: "but why this organization?" I originally had planned to donate to mental health charities this year, but Ben was so much more than the fact that he had the mental illness that took him. (Also, Jacksepticeye's Thankmas donated so much money to mental health efforts, which is so amazing and so so cool!) I want to keep celebrating Ben's life in any way that I can, and give people with like-interests the opportunities to flourish like he did and wanted.

I am mulling about with the idea of making a guild.

Like, in real life hahaha, I feel like that is a necessary disclaimer since I have played MMOs for decades 🤣🤣

But there are very specific guilds that exist in my area for knitting and crochet and spinning, but those skills are hyper focused upon. There's no room for macrame or embroidery or beading.

I want a fiber/textile arts guild. Do you work with string, yarn, or fabric in any capacity? Then this would be your place.

I just have to figure out what to do with this idea and desire.
