Sabine x Ezra/Anakin x Padme:
It's Like Poetry, It Rhymes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'm already falling I couldn't help it, didn't think of the risk I got a problem, problem when I look in your eyes You're mine and you know it I'd still do it even if we were cursed Won't you be my problem? It's okay with me if it hurts - BANKS, Under the Table
George Lucas has a phrase that I always come back to regarding his work: "It's like poetry, it rhymes."
He said this in reference to Luke's battle with Vader in the Emperor's Throne Room aboard the second Death Star. During the climax of the duel, Luke faces the same choice his father did so many years ago.
And Luke chooses differently. Instead of killing Vader, he tosses aside his weapon and chooses to stop fighting. He wins the battle without violence and claims the mantle of Jedi Knight, which helps Anakin return to himself fully and turn on the Emperor.
For this post, I'm using this phrase to another interesting similarity within Star Wars: the relationship between Sabine Wren and Ezra Bridger having echoes of the doomed romance of Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala.
There's no way that Filoni is not aware how he's setting these two up.
Sabine, clearly, has resemblances to Ahsoka's former master; it doesn't surprise me that Ahsoka immediately cut Sabine's training short after the Purge of Mandalore.
Sabine is messy, angry, reckless, impulsive, and obviously depressed after experiencing so much trauma in her life. Despite her efforts to keep up appearances that everything's fine with her, we can tell in the Ahoska premiere that she still keenly feels the loss of Ezra and her family.
Anakin was the same way. We know his story; I won't re-hash it here.
Because of Sabine's inability to reflect on her problems - much like Anakin - they tend to influence her decisions. She can't focus on what needs to be done, versus what she wants to be done.
Love versus duty. The age old conundrum.
She should have destroyed the map to Thrawn. She didn't. She could not face returning to a galaxy without Ezra Bridger in it.
Anakin prevented Jedi Master Mace Windu from finishing Palpatine because he wanted the knowledge to save Padme from death.
Anakin's decision, I also want to remind, led to Padme's death being realized. In doing what he did to prevent it, he ended up causing it to come true.
Sabine's decision to save Ezra . . . well, we've yet to see how Filoni plays this out. But I think there might be a similar outcome here; some sort of consequence for Ezra due to Sabine's actions.
The galaxy - both times - shifted on its axis and began to spiral towards darkness. The Empire rose. Thrawn returned.
The seeds of darkness have already been planted in Sabine. Her decision to hand over the map to Baylon was a failure of temptation. And once you go down the path of the dark side, it's incredibly hard to turn away. Yoda told this to Luke and he failed to heed his advice until it was almost too late.
Lucas, with Luke and Vader, had them face the same dilemma in their respective journeys to show how different their choices would be and how their characters, despite being so much alike, were ultimately different.
So Filoni, with Sabine and Ezra, is - at least in my point of view - doing the same. He's going to have these two reckon with what Sabine did only for them to choose differently than what happened with Anakin and Padme.
We never really saw Anakin and Padme reconcile after his fall. That's the tragedy of their relationship.
But with Sabine and Ezra, there's still hope. They can choose better and not end up cursed like their predecessors.
For one, Ahsoka is literally right there. I'm uncertain as to how much she knows about the reason for Anakin's downfall but if she does know (or Anakin's Force ghost reveals it to her) then she's perfectly armed with the knowledge to make sure Sabine doesn't follow the same path.
Sabine and Ezra also have much more of a personal history with each other. Their foundation is built on stronger material than Anakin and Padme's. There's a lot of trust and respect and love already built into it.
But, admittedly, Sabine's actions threaten to unmake that relationship. I've talked about it before in a previous post; that she could end up losing Ezra due to her selfishness.
And that's not even mentioning the reactions from Hera. Hera, thinking of her son, Jacen, and her desire to raise him in a galaxy not at war. Now it's being threatened by Thrawn's return.
All because of Sabine's need to save Ezra.
I really don't know how, but I'm excited to see Sabine and Ezra work it out. Because we've never seen a proper redemption arc in Star Wars. Anakin was redeemed, yes, but he died shortly afterwards.
Sabine has to put in the work to make up for what she did. She's already started on the path by staying behind with Ahsoka instead of going home with Ezra, but being open to the Force now means that there's only more trials and temptations ahead.
I can't overstate how worried we should be for Sabine. She messed up so badly before being able to tap into the Force. And now she has it.
I know she's on the path to set things right but that temptation will never go away. It will only be amplified, going forward, and I'm sure that there will be more opportunities for abuse considering the inevitable conflict between Thrawn and the New Republic.
And then there's Ezra, of course. Her desire to keep him safe.
Because he wouldn't sit on the sidelines, even if he wanted to. Sabine's actions, like it or not, have involved him in ways that he cannot understand. He'll be at the center of this fight.
I expect Sabine is going to experience some troubling visions soon. I'm thinking similar to what Luke faced in the cave on Dagobah, or even what Anakin saw during his encounter with the Mortis gods.
There's nowhere to hide anymore now that she's stuck on Peridea.
The Force, I'm sure, is going to have a lot to show Sabine about herself that's been hidden away. I hope she's ready.
Much as I want to see these two together and living happily, it can't happen until Sabine and Ezra work through these issues together.
Because if they can't, well . . . we've seen how that story ends.

Day 2: I'LL CALL OUT YOUR NAME BUT YOU WON'T CALL BACK
Fragments of the Death Star spun behind him, imploding alongside a great many feelings that Luke had withheld for over a year. The Imperial shuttle was oddly quiet once the roar had died down, his exasperated breath calming as he set his course for the Endor moon.
It was done.
"This is Luke Skywalker," he stated into the com after a long period of silence. He remembered the frequency that Leia had used many months ago, back when he was still on Hoth. In a covert war requiring security clearances and the risk of exposure, it was a brief form of communication they could still share when separated. He didn't know if she still used it, it had been almost a year; but it felt good to give her some kind of assurance. Just as much as he needed to hear it himself. With a sigh, he continued on. "Reporting in. I survived."
Static.
He didn't know what he was expecting - if she sensed him dangling hopelessly underneath Cloud City, hopefully she could sense he was alive and well. "I survived," he whispered to himself again, looking down at the glove that covered his right hand, feeling the intimate wiring and electronic sensors that replaced flesh and blood. He looked to the console and finished punching in the coordinates that would take him to the surface of Endor.
Luke stood from his seat and walked over to the exit of the vessel, where the physical form of his father lay motionless. "Thanks to you," he said, putting a hand on the shoulder. It was so cold and firm, trapped in the now, with nothing but an echo of what was. Just a few minutes ago, the man formerly known as Darth Vader spoke to him. Before that, he saved his life. Now, he was gone.
"Father."
Looking at the face of Anakin Skywalker was almost too much to bear, those few minutes prior. He'd hated this man for years, lived in fear of him for months, and now, all he could see was the scarred face of a father that sacrificed himself to save his son. That face was gone; he was only able to look on it for a few moments before it faded with the Death Star.
The helmet was positioned next to him, looking back on Luke as if it still contained a tormented soul. Luke's brow furrowed and he picked it up, studying it intently, searching for someone starring back. Where was he? What became of his spirit? With an exhale, Luke brought the helmet to his forehead, pressing his head against it and fighting back more tears he swore he wouldn't shed.
"This isn't you - not anymore," he said, clasping the helmet back onto the phantom armor. After all these years of longing for a father, Luke had one for about half an hour. So much closure he'd never get. He stood up and walked back to the cockpit, changing the coordinates of the console to a more remote location on the Endor moon.
He'd cremate this memory and let it go to rest, the good and bad.
"I survived."

whenever you have the time and energy to, could you be so kind as to give us more Luke headcanons? 🥺
You ask and I deliver, anon!🩵
Not all of these turned out as light hearted as I wanted them to be and I accidentally made myself sad while writing, whooops
Hopefully you'll like them anyways😅
• I often think about that one scene at the beginning of ANH where Luke is playing with the little model of a space ship
• and it makes me sad because he never grew up to be an adventurous pilot
• at this point he might have been nineteen already but his life still held much of the simplicity of a child's
• his dream was simple and clear and in his mind a connection to a father, his uncle and aunt told him about, one he never met
• yet it was taken away alongside the innocence he used to have
• I think Luke had to say goodbye to that part of him a long time ago
• and despite this he can't help the sadness that comes with being occasionally reminded of what once was
• who he once was and what could have been
• he sees himself in the child pretending to pilot a quick ship among the stars and in the teenager excited for his first flight lesson
• yes, he learned to accept his losses, to live with them, to make his peace even
• deep down though he wants that little star ship model back
• he imagines it'd look nice on his window sill or on one of his shelves
• he'd let his students play with it, or use it do demonstrate a lesson
• and maybe, when he can be sure that nobody is around, he'd make it fly again
• Luke Skywalker is terrifiying when angry
• luckily it's not easy getting him to that point
• he's not usually one to get angry in the first place, instead he'll hit you with "I'm not angry, I'm disappointed in you"
• alternatively you'll be the target of snide remarks, we know he's good at that
• make him frustrated, let him be annoyed, he will cool off quickly enough
• especially when it comes to you or others dear to him
• he will overcome his stubbornness and make amends should an argument or disagreement go on for too long
• you don't want to come face to face with him once someone went too far though
• even if you are on his side I imagine there's no way around the very uneasy feeling developing in your gut when he finally snaps
• think of the scene in Jabba's palace, for example, and the delivery of "this is the last mistake you will ever make"
• on the outside he's seemingly calm, he's not shouting or raging and doesn't seriously fight back while being led away
• but look closely and you see how his eyes are blazing, how they are fixated on Jabba like he's marking a target
• even worse, he's smiling
• if I'd be there to witness something likes this I'd worry he had gone insane
• in these moments everyone remembers what his father had become and ehat he'd be capable of if he wanted to, if he let himself
• you can see there's a certain wildness and recklessness awakening in him
• he is ready to go down, to destroy himself with the villain if it means stopping him
• the scenario plays out differently when his anger is directed at you
• of course there will be no threats involved, no shouting and no unhinged smiles
• instead he grows rigid and his face turns almost stone like with the exception of a sternly furrowed brow
• no matter how tall you are, he'll seem to tower above you, his gaze boring into yours and straight into your soul
• his demeanor will turn your insides to ice and make your heart jump into your throat
• pleading and apologizing will get you nowhere
• even your tears won't soften him
• if there's something left to say he will do so in short clipped sentences, leaving no room for any arguments
• he will keep his distance then, whatever you did to get him to this point is not something he'll forgive as easily as your occasional bickering
• he'll need time for himself and make it clear he does not wish for you to be around any longer
• if you work together and coming into contact is inevitable he won't refuse interaction
• though every moment spent in his intimidating presence will be incredibly hard on you
• if he eventually wishes to talk through what happened with you, it will happen when he deems the time to be right
• he will approach you on his own terms
• before that you won't be able to get close to him again
• because of his connection to the Force I imagine Luke's attention drifting off from time to time
• not in direct conversation or important moments but maybe during political meetings in which he takes on solely representative roles
• there's only so much he can handle and while he is able to look deeply interested on the outside, his mind can be galaxies away
• should someone notice and try to put him on the spot they won't succeed
• he always has a fitting answer ready that immediately removes the wind from their sails
• and begrudgingly they have to content themselves with the thought that Luke surely has his reason for seeming absentminded from time to time
• he's a Jedi, so who knows what important businesses he's sorting through while also partaking in this meeting
• while that IS sometimes the case, more often it's not
• he just tends to be really easily distracted
• imagine all these people in a big room high up over other buildings on Coruscant
• one moment Luke is listening, the next he notices a person/a droid outside cleaning the windows
• I see him going "oh noooo what are they doing, this is so dangerous!", momentarily forgetting about the fact that being himself comes with an even shorter life expectancy
• if someone were able to listen in on his thoughts (Leia most likely), they'd tell him that blowing up the Death Star is way worse and he has no reason to worry
• Luke worries anyways, it's more interesting than listening to politicians drone on endlessly too, and suddenly he feels responsible for their well being
• even if he returns his attention to the conversation at hand, part of him keeps concentrating on the workers outside just to make sure none of them fall
• in one of my previous headcanon posts I said that I don't think Luke would be a good dancer
• hear me out because I have more thoughts on this topic
• first of all I was strictly talking about ballroom/latin dancing
• of course if he were to take lessons he'd be able to do decently in every variation of it too, it's just that I think it's not something he'd necessarily WANT to do
• (he'll do it for you if that's what you wish)
• it's not something that comes to him as easily and naturally as piloting for example
• also I just love the idea of him and Han hiding in really cramped and dark broom closets or maintenance shafts to avoid being lectured by Leia on why they really REALLY need to take their lessons seriously
• it's a matter of good representation! If they rudicoul themselves it will make her look stupid as well!
• (really, I just want to see the og trio in sitcom settings)
• dancing at a club or party is a different thing, he'd definitely enjoy that more
• like, it's obvious the talent is there it's clear he's having a good time
• still his movements look kind of messy
• it's so cute to watch him have fun though and also strangely motivating, to a point where many want to join him
• now traditional folk dances? Sign him the fuck up
• no matter the culture or even the species, he's immediately able to nail all of their routines and movements without practice
• just let him look on for a few minutes and he'll go off, every step memorized perfectly

Tumblr media
This is the last thing i'm going to post about episode five of Ahsoka, i promise. It just kind of f*cked my whole perception of the entire franchise, all the way up. Never mind the fact that the Jedi Council was legit grooming child soldiers to send them off to the front lines of a war over f*cking tariff disputes, or the fact that Maul got absolutely bodied by a whole ass teenager, there is a fully realized Anakin Skywalker just hanging out in the World Between Worlds. I'm not talking Clone Wars Anakin who got quadriplegic'd by old man Ben, or the hulking, cyborg, menace of an attack dog for the Galactic Empire, but a full potential Anakin Skywalker. An Anakin who has mastered the Force to the point he has transcended even the ability to project as a Force Ghost. An Ankin that somehow found his way into The World Between Worlds with no maps or clues. An Anakin fully at peace with who is, who he was, and who he can be. The truest version of The Chosen One legend, given form.
Tumblr media
The quiet feats he demonstrated during that little training session with Ahsoka, were ridiculous. This wasn't a Force Ghost because he physically fought Ahsoka with a perfectly mastered Form Five. Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker was considered one of, if not the best, Jedi Duelist in history, and even that from couldn't master Form Five. This wasn't a memory because he referenced the sh*t Luke said to him during his duel, and inevitable defeat, on the Death Star II. “I won't fight you”, Ahsoka said. “I've heard that before”, Anankin replied. This was Grand Master Anakin Skywalker and he taught Ahsoka a real lesson, forcing her evolution into Ahsoka the goddamn White. During this process, he flitted between himself and his Vader form, like it was nothing. Light and Dark at the drop of a hat but, when Vader finally clashed with Ahsoka, it was Anakin's face he wore. I'm talking full power Darth Vader, without the cybernetic handicaps. Sh*t was glorious to see. He was vicious, brutal, but controlled. The anger was there but it was focused. This was Vader perfected but used for a purpose. This Vader was truly the Sith Lord he was under that armor, but lacked the self-loathing. This Vader was more a tool used to show Ahsoka that she, too, can fall. That it was a choice. That she could overcome even the greatest evil, ever, in her mind; Her fallen master, Darth Vader. But those are just glimpses of Anakin's power. This man literally reshaped The World Between Worlds on a whim.
Tumblr media
Anakin motherf*cking Skywalker literally warped an entire reality, just to train his Padawan one last time. He took this adult Ahsoka, and reverted her back to a teenage form. He used her memories to, not only reshape the landscape, but draw in actual people she remembered as tangible representations from that time. F*cking Rex was in the Clone Wars flashback, man, in full Clone Trooper armor. Anakin did that through sheer Force of will. Do you have any idea how f*cking powerful in the Force you have to be to do something like that? Just getting to the World Between Worlds is a feat but Anakin can shape it like clay. Not even the Father, The Daughter, and The Son could do that sh*t and Anakin was shown to be stronger than all of them when he was still just a Jedi Knight. The only other entity that i think can come close to this level of power is Abeloth from Legends and she was a f*cking problem that Grand Master Luke Skywalker barely solved. I mean, this version of Anakin Skywalker physically pulled Ahsoka into The World Between Worlds right before she crashed into that sea. That, alone, is a big ass "The f*ck?"
Tumblr media
What does Force Entity Anakin Skywalker mean for the rest of the franchise? This thing is bound by nothing, limited by nothing. He exists at the crossroads of all time, all reality. He can shape this core existance into anything he desires and carries a wisdom that only someone who has mastered the Force fully, can even begin to understand. In canon, that's just The Father, i think. In legends, that's just Luke, if I'm not mistaken. Like, he's stronger than the f*cking Whills, man. But, as broken as Anakin has become, that presents a problem for everything which comes after this episode. The sequels, specifically.
Tumblr media
Grand Master Anakin Skywalker is the caretaker for the Star Wars version of a Hyperbolic Time Chamber. He is some sort of extra-physical representation of true Force balance. He can physically pull anyone he wants into this Room of Spirit and Time to train them. He literally gifted Ahsoka all the knowledge he possessed, leveling up her Force abilities like they were nothing, and she was already technically stronger than Obi-Wan before that point. Even Palpatine understood that Force Potential alone, was only a part of true strength. That man spent years of his life, studying under one of the most pragmatic Sith to ever live. This version of Anakin has access to so much more of that knowledge, plus his near infinite potential with the Force. That fleeting thought, on it's own, it's just staggering. If Anakin can do that much, if he is some limitless Force God now, how does he let Poppa Paps manipulate his grandson into being just another tool? How the f*ck does Anakin Skywalker, the man who sent the entire galaxy into a murderous, imperial, dark age over the death of his wife, let his own, personal, abuser, do the exact same sh*t to his grandson? How does he not intervene with Luke during his exile? How do these narratives even work anymore now that Grand Master Anakin Skywalker, Keeper of The World Between Worlds, exists?

Daniel Dae Kim on that pivotal fight scene in Avatar: The Last Airbender: “There was guilt, there was conflict, there was pain”
Over the last 30 years, Daniel Dae Kim has been a recurring presence on our big and small screens alike, from the culture-shifting Lost to the Oscar-winning Crash. He's played dads (wholesome) and daddies (less wholesome), and sometimes those roles have converged, as in Netflix's live-action reboot of the beloved cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender – a series about a fantasy kingdom separated into four elemental nations that have been ravaged by war – where he takes on the villainous Fire Lord Ozai.
“Very often in my career, I've played good guys,” Kim tells GQ over video call from Seoul. Not so much in Avatar – Ozai is about as far away from a good guy as you can get. He’s callous and deranged, with domineering sheets of metal and leather armour, and a long pointed beard that’s only marginally less sharp than his cheekbones. He's the Big Bad of the series (albeit one that's so ripped it's caused some people to question their allegiance to the show's hero).
As the king, he looms over the Fire Nation, which has imperialist ambitions to rule the rest of the kingdom, as well as his own children, Zuko (Dallas Liu) and Azula (Elizabeth Yu), who he pits against each other and hardens with physical and psychological punishment. He's not exactly in the running for Father of the Year. “I like to think that he's trying in his own way to guide his children,” he says. “He doesn't necessarily listen very well to his kids, but he is trying to solidify his legacy and make this family a dynasty.”
Here, Daniel Dae Kim talks to GQ about the challenges of adapting a much-loved property, his shirtless fight scene and the likelihood of a season 2 of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
GQ: Mark Hamill voiced Ozai in the cartoon. Have you had a chance to meet him?
Daniel Dae Kim: We've never met but we actually had a nice little Instagram exchange because he saw an interview answer that I gave regarding him. He saw a clip and said thank you, so I responded and said it was all true. I have a lot of respect for him, not just as Luke Skywalker, of course, but he's one of our greatest voice actors.
One of the most pivotal scenes in the series is the fight Ozai has with his son Zuko where he gives him his facial scar and then later banishes him. What preparation went into that scene?
The physical preparation was intense. In the animated series, he's shirtless, so I thought ‘Uh oh’. I wasn't sure how authentic they wanted to be, and sure enough, the showrunner was like, 'Oh, yeah, we're gonna do that'. So I started to work out and I started to diet. I'm not immune to vanity, so I thought, well, at least I should try and look pretty good. But I did not want to look like someone who was unreasonably fit, if that makes sense. He's not meant to be a WWE wrestler, he's meant to be someone who has great skill and power that comes from his [fire] bending. You might find this disingenuous, but hand on my heart it's true – some actors enjoy the vanity of being shirtless and welcome it and I've worked with those actors. I am not [one of them]. If that's my last shirtless scene, I won't be sad.
That scene is probably the most vulnerable we see Ozai, where he maybe feels bad about what he's doing to his son. Is that how you interpreted it?
I was trying to add in a little nuance there so that it wasn't just full-on hatred, anger and frustration. There was guilt, there was conflict, there was pain. That's what I was trying to communicate.
What are the challenges of performing fights that have been adapted from a cartoon?
Our stunt team did a great job in helping us imagine what the supernatural elements of the fight would be. We have the physical hand-to-hand combat, but then with the addition of the firebending and the special effects, it required a certain specificity and suspension of disbelief on our parts. [Imagining] a huge beam of fire going 30 feet across and believing the effect that it would have. I give a lot of credit to the stunt team for being so specific about it and saying 'If you want to create this kind of blast, it's this kind of a movement’. That imagination became part of the choreography.
In the original cartoon, Ozai is shrouded in secrecy until he's finally revealed. But in this, you're shown almost immediately. Why was that a necessary change when bringing it to live-action?
I think it was a dramaturgical function. There was an effort made to deepen all of the primary characters earlier on. If you look at Sokka's story and Katara's story, certain elements got pushed up. I think the reason they pushed up my story was in service of Zuko because we wanted to feel what his motivations were and why he was relentlessly chasing Aang. I personally applaud the decision, because I think you care so much more about the primary four than you would otherwise. It's the right decision.
In the finale, we see Ozai has even more deranged plans for world domination. Everything about him is about legacy. What did you try and tap into there?
I kept thinking, like, what happened to Ozai when he was a child that he would think that this is the way to show your kid his destiny? I did look at his line to succession… the fact that he is a second child, and how that's not the natural lineage for a king. So what kind of ambition does it take to supersede the rightful heir to the throne? There's that phrase that I think of – ‘hurt people hurt people’ – and I wonder ‘What was Ozai’s trauma as a child?’ because he's clearly passing it down.
The finale massively sets up a season 2 with a cliffhanger. In the cartoon, Ozai descends further into madness. If season 2 happens, is that something you'd look forward to exploring?
A descent into madness sounds like juicy territory for an actor, and it's not something I've explored before on screen. Should we be lucky enough to get a season 2, I look forward to those conversations. Nothing is inevitable in this business and in this industry climate, but there seems to be a lot of excitement about it.

Thinking about That Scene in Return of the Jedi (luke throwing away his saber)
It's so good because it's a mixture of a son forgiving his father, a jedi taking his stand, and a rebel fighting the empire, that consolidates into one single act of refusing to fight.
Because it's like. Not just luke's desire for a father that saved them in the end. At the second death star, Palpatine's trying to bait him into anger; it's not what he's baiting him into doing that is the problem - the act of killing vader itself isn't anything, it's not technically wrong, many would call it right even, even Ben and Yoda, but it's the wrong thing to do in that circumstance because it would be out of anger. It would be lashing out and killing the first thing you see because you were hurt - doesn't matter that the first thing you saw was a mass murderer, what matters is that you let your hate fuel you - and that's why it's the jedi thing to do to not fight. Luke realizes this; he realizes that palpatine is goading him - he succumbs for a bit but in the end does the right thing.
But also it's out of love, and in some sense, attachment too - there's a very clear 'i won't kill my own father' thing going on, Luke's not doing it completely dispassionately either - he wants Vader to see the light and he wants to redeem him because Vader's his father. He vaguely understands that something terrible has happened to Anakin - and he yearns to help him out of pure goodness of his heart, but also because he sees Anakin Skywalker, the navigator on a spice freighter turned a jedi turned darth vader, as a father. And he wants his father back.
And there's the third thing going on with luke's self sacrifice, where him being there alone is aiding the rebels. He's there because he believes that he needs to do this to stall, that this is the only way the rebellion will win. He understands that sometimes you need to take a step back, trust that your friends will succeed in their job. His last stand is not at a battlefield, but a quiet one at where he believes will be his grave, as a rebel who so staunchly believes that what he is doing is right.
It works on three levels; in the philosophical level, where he gains true control of his actions, the familial level, where he gains back a father, and the ideological level, where he gets to kick the empire in the balls (metaphorically)

Teasing. That was new. It felt vaguely like Leia though he wouldn't ever want his twin to look at his face or mouth like that ever again. She didn't seem to want to eviscerate him at the moment, but she probably wanted better pray. Mara Jade may hate him as a Sith should, but she wasn't a bad person. He had seen the blooms of light in her. he saw more of it now. Were they friends? He knew her but only as one knows an enemy. there were layers to this pie that he didn't completely understand. Her lightsaber. that would certainly be helpful. Maybe as he was in this barren land for the moment, Luke could suppose his luck was turning around. "why do we have such a strong force bond?" he whispered though. It wasn't like Luke was good at keeping his mouth shut, but it was more for his own inquiry than the assassins. His smile was light and pained. The blonde should step back. Injured. Cornered. But he would fight on his feet and something in her voice said that she didn't intend to end their time together this way. Though her next words made his starlight eyes widen several fractions. "I don't know I have a pretty killable face." the tease would hopefully expel the slight shock in his force signature. Warmth. He had wanted her in so many ways since he met her. Some as a jedi master should and some as a man who longed for love. A jedi master controlled his emotions. that wasn't happening now. Battle tactics danced with questions and the want to delve into the puddles of her soul. And with the word 'sweet talk', he was blushing. Was he so easy to read that this so called enemy could see it? Was this how Leia felt with Han? The movement showed that she was showing off. Not that he minded. It made him long to spar with her. There were so few force sensitives and he had yet to find a few in this new force turned out world. The world was still dizzy. maybe he had envisioned his own version of an angel. "I suppose this a good Skywalker day after all. I mean besides the scary venue and blood. I can't compliment you in a way that you won't already know is factual. I like that you are a rose with thorns even when they prick me." Was he flirting? Had he said that out loud? Though brows furrowed further. How did Mara know he was from Tatooine or that he easily injured himself or anything else? Especially like she knew that he had a bad habit of that as a jedi master. Patience and thinking things through had never been his forte. The force felt like a firework display for a celebration that he had never heard of. Bubble wrap was what had perplexed him. That smirk felt healing in its own. Still, he struggled to find his footing. to turn to her. "You know about this planet? About whatever enemy I- we, if you are on my side- will face? It's mostly the arm that I lost to my father. Sentimental, I guess."

There are a few developments
-the factories were sending to have too many more luck in them we sent two shipments and we're halting for now and they're removing them and it's McDonald's and other groups in Max are pulling them out huge numbers are being removed and from surrounding areas too refuse to work if it's from us and they were doing it up north and it wasn't even from us yet.
-so it's going to happen shortly that Brad and others will be dead and Becca too and they need to die they're disgusting pigs she's going to die in Korea fighting Sarah who killed her own daughter and permanently we know about Brad what's his death is horrific and it takes a couple months okay I'm going from robot to robot Tricia dies very soon after this episode in the upper Midwest which takes a couple weeks well a week or so really she goes to cesario and she is killed permanently and it's very left there and it's by her grandfather, no. That's Alicia and she is killed in Egypt and it's not by her father. She is killed because of the clones demanding she be transported instead of destroyed into tomb. And does not get transported actually requesting it and didn't have the power. Bg dies on skilleg, as Luke Skywalker. Bja as Anakin dies as Vader and there are several things that lead up to this and it takes a few weeks but not that long and the group's gone and they don't have support. Throughout the ages Max have done this to people. There's several others that die Trump and his son and we know about that and how but it's coming up very soon not drawn out and it's going to go through RoboCop and things like that and that's Trump and his son is going through Moonraker and bond and it is coming up pretty quick they are shunned with a go and their people come out and fight Stan and Biden is in the movies too and it's about the keys and that's a path they all take and they're executed for doing it and I think it's coming from Saturn it behind the eight ball and I can't seem to get anywhere. They try to have McDonald's to the job and they start to and they get obstructed and it's by the idiots who are still here and McDonald's starts to attack them and that's not far from now either it's all started to happen and today is a big day we're going to publish now and I'll be back in a moment

Olympus
I have a few things to say we have a lot to do but we're getting it done and we're putting stuff out there we have to take over territory now and we know the empire is being pushy but it's opportunity and if you don't we won't have that opportunity to give for some time
Hera
I agree with you
Zues
We agree too we've taken a lot of territory in the grumble and that's what they do and we're going to go ahead of these areas are all 10 miles a diameter we're going to put in bases that are 20x10 mostly and several hundred believe it or not there's enough concrete for it and we're ripping bunkers out and reconstituting and we're doing it now
Thor Freya
It seems like a lot of bases but it's not really that much

My predictions for Marvel's Spider-Man 2:
These are just a few of my thoughts and theories about the upcoming game, but I hope I've presented these in a way that makes sense.
As we know from the trailers, Peter will stat using the symbiote suit. I think he's going to get the symbiote at the same time he finds out about Harry's condition. We've seen Norman Osborne using the symbiote to attempt to 'cure' Harry in some way, so I think that's where Peter will first be introduced to it.
We've seen Peter's darker side come out, and I believe that at some point, there will be a boss fight where you play as Miles against Peter. I reckon Miles will try and pull a Luke Skywalker and bring Peter back to the light. The symbiote will then leave Peter around this point leading to...
The creation of Venom. A few people made a big thing of the fact that the Spider-man suit in the first game had a white logo, but what if that was an intentional choice to link it to Venom's typical white spider logo? At the very least, I think Venom will take on the white Spider logo in a mockery of Peter's logo. It's been confirmed that the symbiote's host isn't Eddie Brock this time, so my theory is that it will find its way to Harry. This will then lead Harry to become Venom.
Peter won't be able to help Harry. If the writer's had any balls they'd leave Harry begging for the end by the end of the game. After years of illness and being experimented on by his father, then turned into a monster by Venom, he'd be grateful for the end. This would cause...
Norman Osborne to become the Green Goblin. He'd blame Spider-man for Harry's death, and in a reversal of Sam Raimi's Spider-man films, Norman would tear Peter's world down piece by piece. However, I believe that would mostly take place in the third game. Green Goblin is arguably Spider-man's most iconic enemy, so having a full game to explore his character would be perfect. I just hope they don't rush his character arc.
Kraven will also be in the game.

Fixing the sequel trilogy
*Spoilers for Star Wars Episodes VII-IX, if you care.*
Honestly, I think the sequel trilogy could be fixed with some reltively minor changes. I think The Force Awakens is good. A few tweaks, maybe, but overall its solid. The only change I would make is that Finn should go with Rey to the Island to find Luke.
The Last Jedi is where I would change some stuff. I think that Luke becoming jaded and isolated could work, but I think we need some changes to his reasoning. The main thing is that I would ADD more about his reasoning in there. When he goes in to kill Ben, and then doesn't, I think he should be scared of turning to the Dark Side. I don't think Ben should go and destroy the School then and there. I think Luke should have taken some time to think and consult his father and Obi-Wan and Yoda, and come to the conclustion that perhaps the Jedi ways need to die with him, and that he needs to isolate himself so as not to hurt anyone else. I think this would also make the title of the movie much more fitting, also. At first, Luke thinks he needs to be the last Jedi, and then realizes that isn't so. Rey is honestly fine in this movie, too, I think she gets a bit too much hate. I think she's bland, but I don't hate her like so many people seem to. I think she could have similar interactions with Kylo Ren, but then having Finn on the Island with her, she can voice her hesitations and we can have some more of that lovely Finn and Rey chemistry (should be platonic, imo). They worked with each other so well in TFA, and I think that should be preserved. The fight in the throne room can be basically the same, but PLEASE better choreography. The way they fight in the movie would be so ineffective.
The big change to TLJ is eliminating the stupid casino planet subplot. It's just stupid. If you want Poe to have gone too far and need to get in trouble, he can try to mutiny earlier, becasue Holdo won't share her plan, then she can send him to the brig. I think it would be good to have a nice conversation between him and Holdo, where we get an actually good reason for her not initially telling her the plan, then he accepts that, grows, and supports her actions. (I'm not a huge Poe fan, so I can't come up with as good of ideas for him). This could show significant character growth from when he wouldn't listen to authority, (which is definitely shown to be a flaw in the movie, Leia knew better than him) to being a bit skeptical, but ultimately a better soldier.
Finally, The Rise of Skywalker. TROS needs the most changes. First off, the real Palpatine isn't back. What we see is a messed up clone of him. He needs Rey, because this rotten, horrid version of his body is failing. Kylo needs to start questioning the First Order. In the actual movie, he is deeper in than ever, and basically unredeemable, in order to get that big SHOCK later on, but I think that at this point he would actively be questioning his own actions, and might be redeemable. The plot as a whole would need a rewrite, in ways I can't even summarize properly for this post, but basically, Rey can find out she's a Palpatine, or start to accidentally use the Dark Side, or both, early on in the movie, leading her to start isolating herself more and more from everyone. Leia, Chewie, Poe, Finn, etc. The other characters can be worried about her, and THEN we get the huge drop of "holy shit is Palpatine alive?!" via a video message or something. It is LAME to not see that happen on screen.
I actually quite like several aspects of the end of the movie, particularly Ben finally renouncing Kylo and coming to help Rey, fighting his own men on the way. I will say, I think we need one of two things for the ending. 1: completely get rid of the "if you kill a Sith, they posess you" or whatever. It really doesn't line up with established canon, imo, or 2: ONLY Palpatine can do the posession thing, and its because he's just such an evil powerful Sith or whatever. We get that final bit, where Rey has to decide whether to kill Palpatine or let everyone die. She makes up her mind, turns to Palpatine with determination in her eyes, and he grins. He's won. She raises her lightsaber to strike him, and he cackles. She kills him. Ben climbs up out of that pit, seeing Rey with her lightsaber turned towards herself. "No!" he shouts, running towards her. She throws her hand in the air, force-throwing him away from her, tears in her eyes, as she ignites her blade. She falls to the ground, dead, Palpatine, Darth Sidious, the Emperor, finally, FINALLY defeated, as Ben runs towards her. At that point, he can either revive her, or (since that's not really something it is established is possible, healing and resurrection are very different), he holds her and cries over her body, and he then emerges to the surface, to help the Resistance.
Whichever of the two of them isn't dead starts the Jedi Order anew, but with improvements. The end.
Obviously, I'm no professional, but I think these or similar changes, would VASTLY improve the sequel trilogy.

Star Wars Re-watch Part 13
Episode VI: Return of the Jedi
1. Me on my third viewing of Return of the Jedi: I love Darth Vader. 🤣
2. C-3PO: "I better knock, I suppose." *knocks hesitantly on Jabba the Hutt's front door* *waits 1 second* "There doesn't seem to be anyone here. Let's go back and tell Master Luke."
I love how C-3PO is the literal manifestation of anxiety.
3. Han: "A Jedi knight?" *exasperated* "I'm out of it for a little while, everybody gets delusions of grandeur!"
4. 22 min 13 seconds: Hell yeah, enter sexy Jedi Luke.
Force pushing the guards away from himself. Boy, I bet Mark Hamill loved shooting this!
5. Luke: "It's your choice, but I warn you not to underestimate my power." That is my baby!
6. *slug voice* Palpatine to Darth Vader: "Rise, my friend."
7. Palpatine: "Only togethar can we turn him to the dark side of the Force." Ian McDiarmid should have gotten an Oscar for this performance. He wasn’t even 40!
8. Yoda to Luke: "When 900 years old you reach, look as good you will not, hm?" *yoda chuckle*
9. Yoda: "You must confront Vader. Then, only then, a Jedi you will be."
10. Luke: "Is Darth Vader my father?"
Yoda: "Rest I need... Yes, rest."
Luke: "Yoda, I must know."
Yoda: "Your father he is. ... Told you, did he?"
Luke: "Yes."
Yoda: "Unexpected this is. And unfortunate."
11. Yoda: "There is another... Skywalker." 😢
12. Luke to Force ghost Obi-Wan: "I can’t kill my own father."
Obi-Wan: "Then the Emperor has already won... you were our only hope."
Stfu, Obi-Wan! 🤣🤣🤣 You had more than one opportunity to kill him.
To quote Reva: "Do you really want Anakin dead?" *I didn't think so*
13. Han: "I didn't know they were looking for somebody to lead this crazy attack..."
Lando: "I'm surprised they didn't ask you to do it."
Han: "Well, who says they didn't? But I ain't crazy. You're the respectable one, remember?"
Ok, they are literally flirting.
14. Lando to Han: "Would you get going, you pirate?"
15. Darth Vader: "What is thy bidding, my master?"
16. Han: "Where's Leia?"
Luke: "What, she didn't come back?"
Han: "I thought she was with you."
Luke: "We got separated."
17. Palpatine: "His compassion for you will be his undoing."
18. Luke: "The Force is strong in my family. My father has it. I have it. And... my sister has it."
19. Leia as Luke tells her she is his sister: "I know. Somehow I've always known."
Um... anyway...
20. Leia: "But why must you confront him?"
Luke: "Because there is good in him. I felt it. He won't turn me over to the Emperor. I can save him. I can turn him back to the good side. I have to try."
21. I love how you can project almost anything onto Darth Vader because you cannot see his face. True genius.
22. Palpatine *slug voice*: "Guards. Leave us." I love everything about this.
23. Palpatine: "By now you must know your father can never be turned..."
Vader *looks over to Luke*
Palpatine: "... from the Dark Side."
Luke *looking over to Vader*
Palpatine: "So will it be with you."
Vader *slowly turns back to face Palpatine*
Luke: "You're wrong. Soon I'll be dead. And you with me."
It is called 💁‍♀️ acting.
24. Luke: "Your overconfidence is your weakness."
Palpatine: "Your faith in your friends is yours."
25. Chewbacca *Tarzan shout as he is swinging through the air* Art.
26. Han: "I love you."
Leia: "I know."
Amazing.
27. Vader: "Obi-Wan has taught you well."
Luke *having the higher ground* "I will not fight you, father."
28. Luke: "Never. *throwing away his lightsaber*: I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed, your highness. I am a Jedi, like my father before me."
29. Palpatine: "Young fool. Only now, at the end, do you understand." Me, meta-ing the dialogue: this is directed at you, Vader.
30. Palpatine: "Now, young Skywalker, you will die."
Vader *27 seconds later*: "No. No!" *throws Palpatine into the abyss*
This movie is still amazing.

Pairing - Din Djarin x teen!reader
Word count - 1,341
Warnings - mentions of abandonment, lil' bit of angst
Summary - after Grogu goes to train with Luke, you're worried Din won't want you around anymore
A/N - whoa this is a whole new thing isn't it? I adore Mando so honestly it's a shock I haven't written for him at all yet. I'm also again super sorry for taking so long to write these requests but I hope I can make up for it soon. As per y'all please send in requests and enjoy!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Seeing Grogu being taken away from you by the Jedi Luke Skywalker was like a stab to the heart. The pain of the young creature leaving lingered and was obvious that it was affecting the man who took both you and Grogu in too. Din was even more silent than usual when you boarded Boba Fett’s ship to take you to a planet where you’d be able to get a new ship to replace the Razor Crest. You were worried as you look over at Din, you felt as if he only took you in because Grogu liked you so much. Now he was gone you were sure Din would be kicking you to the streets. You weren’t gifted with the Force like Grogu was, you could fix the ship and were handy in a fight, being able to handle yourself easily due to your life prior to meeting Din and Grogu. You had been living on the streets since you were very little, growing up having to fight and beg for even a scrap of food. You had tried many times to get an honest job to get money for food, but people would constantly turn you away, not wanting a street rat working alongside them due to fear you’d steal.
Din had found you after Grogu had slipped away from him unnoticed, he had waddled up to you and held his arms up in a motion that indicated to you that he wanted you to pick him up. When Din had tracked the young Jedi down, he discovered you holding him, smiling, and offering him some of the food you had managed to swipe earlier in the day. He was sat on your lap and when Din asked for Grogu back he just clung to your shirt showing Din that he had taken a clear liking to you and that he was going to have to take you in too. As your time with the pair progressed, Din found himself liking you more and more. Not just because Grogu liked you, but because you came from a life not too different to his own and he saw that parts of your personality reflected that of his own, you lost your parents young but unlike Din, you weren’t taken in by anyone, so he found himself stepping into a father figure role.
The flight to the nearest habitable planet was silent other than the roar of the engines. You and Din were both missing Grogu massively already. Once Boba had dropped you off on the first planet he finds, none of you knowing the name, just knowing it’ll be your best bet to find a replacement for the Razor Crest. You bid Boba, Fennec and Cara goodbye and watch as the Slave I takes off.
“We shouldn’t look for the ship today. Let’s find somewhere to sleep for tonight.” Din says, barely glancing your way as he starts to walk down the streets with you hot on his heels. As you walked you contemplated just slipping into the crowd and leaving. Din clearly didn’t want you around now that Grogu wasn’t around anymore. You were just another mouth to feed to him now, just a burden that he’s stuck with because Grogu showed such a liking to you when he met you.
When you eventually find somewhere that will allow the two of you to lodge for the night you head into the room silently, your eyes firmly fixed on the floor in front of you. Not wanting to talk to Din and instead concocting a plan to slip away while he sleeps so he won’t be stuck with someone he doesn’t want to have to look after now that the creature that was enamoured with them was gone.
As night falls you watch as Din lies himself down on the small bed and you mirror his actions, having to pretend to be going to bed in order to slip away unnoticed because Din wouldn’t go to bed unless he was sure you were asleep. You lie with your back facing Din and feign sleep, waiting ten painful minutes until you heard Din’s deep breathing from the bed beside you. You silently get up from your bed, grabbing your belongings and slipping out of the room and starting to put some distance between you and the lodging house. You didn’t know where you were going, you just knew you had to get away. Living on the streets wasn’t new to you so you were more than willing to go back to your old life if it meant Din didn’t have to worry about you anymore.
Unbeknownst to you however, Din had stirred from his slumber when he heard the door click shut. He opened his eyes and took a minute to allow his eyes to adjust to the darkness surrounding him. He looked over to where you were supposed to be sleeping and immediately became more alert when he noticed that you were missing from your bed. He sprung out of bed and upon noticing that some of your belongings were missing too he figured out that you had left of your own free will and so set out to find you. He had just let Grogu go, he wasn’t prepared to do the same for you yet.
It doesn’t take him long to track you down, finding you sat on the floor, leant up against a wall with your knees tucked up to your chest. Tears gleaming in your eyes, being emphasised by the bright lights emitting from the signs on the buildings.
“Kid, what are you doing out here? You scared me.” Din says, standing in front of you, taking you by surprise as you wipe your eyes hurriedly, thinking there was a chance he hadn’t seen your unfallen tears.
“Just wanted to go for a walk. I miss Grogu.” You say, Din could tell you were being honest, but you weren’t telling him the whole truth and he was determined to find out why you had snuck out.
“I miss him too. But that’s not why you left. You wouldn’t have taken your stuff if you were going to come back.” Din comments, pointing out your belongings tucked under your arm.
“You’d hate me if I told you.” You mumble, crossing your arms and resting them on your knees and then resting your chin on your arms.
“I don’t think I could ever hate you kid.” Din says, making the choice to sit beside you, showing that you could open up to him.
“I was going to leave. You only kept me around because Grogu liked me. I’m not special like him.” You say, tears springing to your eyes once more as you look away. Ashamed of yourself for telling Din you were leaving.
“I didn’t keep you around because Grogu liked you. I grew to like you too. You remind me of myself, and you’re more than just being liked by Grogu. You helped us get out of sticky situations and the Razor Crest would’ve broken ages ago if it wasn’t for you. You’re here to stay kid, if you want to at least.” Din says, a silence falling over you for a brief moment.
“I can stay?” Your quiet voice cuts through the night air as Din looks over to you, a small smile hidden beneath his helmet.
“Of course you can. I’d be stupid to abandon you. Come on, let’s get some rest.” Din says, standing up and offering a hand out to you which you take, allowing him to help you to your feet. You follow Din back to the lodging house and when you climb into your bed for the second time tonight your thoughts fall back to Grogu once more. This time instead of missing him you find yourself thinking about how grateful you are that he stumbled upon you all those months ago because now you have someone who cares for you and you cared for him just as much.

Oh my god! What about a mafia!Vader au with his long lost son, Luke? Featuring possessive and obsessive Vader!
Anon, first of all I'm so sorry this is late but better late than never <3. And what do I think of Mafia Vader? The fallen Anakin Skywalker, ex-cop turned criminal, "Where's my money?" back ally beatin', gun slingin, money counting mod boss just found out he is a father, his late wife survived long enough to give birth and now his son is out there in this cruel, unforgiving city.
Well, let's find out shall we.
TW: Possessive Vader, kidnapping, spanking, violence.
Vader would send his goons (aka his loyal followers from the old 501st) to fetch his son while he re-read the medical papers. What was supposed to be a simple morning routine of reading the newspaper and having coffee turned his life upside down. A son. A famous one at that. Luke Skywalker was on the front page of The New York Times for his invention of hospital droids to help doctors perform surgeries at hospitals and he's only twenty.
Vader smiles down at his unconscious child. He had put up a good fight, but not good enough. That was okay, Vader told himself as he stroked his calloused hand against Luke's cheekbones inherited from his mother. Vader would teach Luke to fight, to defend himself. No child of his will not know to care for himself.
Luke is (understandably) freaked out when he wakes up after being jumped in a back parking lot. However, the man above him claims to be his father, shows him DNA match tests and suddenly it's overwhelming. Vader just holds his boy as Luke sprouts on nonsense about his father actually being dead, died in a drive by shooting before he was born. "No child, I am very much alive. I'm here, my son. No harm will come to you."
And Vader means it. Luke will be trained. "I don't want to kill or hurt anyone!" Luke argues. "I'm not going to be some criminal!" "You won't be, but I'll be damned if my own son does not know how to defend himself or throw a proper punch."
The lessons range from judo, to boxing. Luke feels like he's being trained like a dog. Dodge this punch, jump over this kick. It's all too much. He's an inventor, not a fighter. But that doesn't stop him from accidently mentioning he was bullied before and is fine now. His father demands names. "I demand to know who pushed you off the swings and could have resulted in a concussion." "That was sixteen years ago, father!"
Luke learns his father doesn't like to share. That includes human beings. His father coops him up in the large estate and allows him privacy in the gardens, but as for venturing into the city or leaving the compound in general is a no-no. Luke's frustration of being "held prisoner" had started many arguments but what stops them is when he catches glimpse of a scar as his father berates to him for the millionth time he is a walking target and should anyone find out Luke is his child they wouldn't hesitate to harm Luke to get to him. Sometimes Luke hates how guilty he feels after those arguments.
Vader keeps Luke close at all times, sitting next to him in the car on a rare, supervised outing. Sits next to him at the fanciest restaurants in New York, and never leaves his side when in the open. Luke rolls his eyes, Vader acts like he's going to be shot.
Vader is strict. Luke learned the hard way when he woke up early to go on a jog and (understandably) freaked out when some of the 501st ambushed him and returned him to the house. Vader was in hysterics and Luke felt he was paralyzed sobbing across his father's knees as Vader unleashed holy hell onto his plump ass. "I. Told. You. You. Will. Not. Leave!" "I was on the property. I didn't want to leave!" Luke's plea goes silent on deaf ears. His ass is bruised, welted and chapped. He doesn't so much as stick his nose out of the window for a week.
For being so strict, Vader sure does spoil Luke. It confuses the young man to no end. He's sure it has a lot to do with the guilt his father feels for not being in his life, but did Luke really need a new Mercedes if he's not allowed to go anywhere? No. He asks his father politely that while he's appreciative of the gifts, he'd rather just spend time together. Chanel attire is a whole different subject.
"I want to go to MIT." Luke admitted one day. "I can change the world and with the droids I've invented I can help doctors and impoverished nations, Father. If I apply now, I can start this spring." Vader gives him a look. Not dissapointed. Not angry. Not sad. The man was a master at masking his face. "You're not leaving me, Luke."
Luke isn't allowed in the basement and truthfully he doesn't want to go down there. Not after walking past the stairwell door one day and hearing a cry followed by a gun shot.
He sometimes forgets his father is a cruel killer. His father is NOT a good man. A firm hand on his shoulder startled him as his father ushered him to his room. "It's best you have some rest, my son. I did not intend for you to hear that."
Vader caves and allows Luke to join MIT's online program but only online and Luke is to be in his office for skype and zoom calls. A part of him is happy to hear his son engage with professors and fellow classmates. Especially since Luke has to worry not of tuition. Daddy paid for everything. Vader smiles softly at his son showing off his presentation on a white board of a robotic extendable arm made to help doctors perform heart surgery.
Vader knows Luke will go farther in life than he ever will. He will ensure it.

Victor Creel Theories
(also includes ST movie DNA series: Star Wars)
Victor Creel is described as "a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital for a gruesome murder in the 1950s." We know he will be institutionalized at Penthurst mental hospital, where Peter Ballard works, based on leaked on set pics.
There a few possibilities regarding his character:
He could be a former test subject with some kind of powers and a connection to the upside down (which would also follow the even/odd season pattern of a main character being directly involved with the upside down creatures) I think it's highly likely that Victor Creel will be involved with the mystery/danger in Hawkins in some way, and have a connection to the upside down. He could also be disturbed on top of this, and he could be involved in Eleven's storyline this season.
That he is not a test subject and is ONLY mentally disturbed.
He may be related to one of the already established characters. Most likely Joyce, and maybe Terry but it's a stretch.
Before I go any further into that last possibility, I just want to preface that this idea of an "evil father/grandfather with powers" could be a purposeful Star Wars parallel. The Duffer brothers have already paralleled and used Star Wars references a few times in the show:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Star Wars, Darth Vader is Luke Skywalker's father, and Palpatine is Rey's grandfather (aka the literal worst guy in the universe). A common theme in ST is abusive/bad fathers - that post here. Interesting...
Palpatine is also Anakin Skywalker's father, so Luke and Leia are both the grandkids of Palpatine as well as Rey is, but it's unclear if they are just force midichlorian related or actually dna related as well but I won't get into that here!
Luke and Rey are both force sensitive (have powers), so are Darth Vader and Palpatine; their descendants (kid/grandkid) have powers, and so do they (father/grandfather) The descendants use their powers for good, while the ancestors use their power for evil. Who has powers in ST? Eleven and Will - and they both already have this idea of abusive/bad/evil fathers: Will has an abusive father Lonnie, and Eleven has an abusive father figure Dr. Brenner "Papa".
So... Victor Creel being the evil/bad grandfather to either Eleven or Will and the evil/bad father to Joyce or Terry, would make a FULL Star Wars parallel to people who are morally good and have powers (Will and El - Luke and Rey), discovering they are the descendant of an evil male figure who also has powers (Victor Creel - Darth Vader and Palpatine)
If Victor Creel turns out to be the father of anyone in the show my bets are it's either Joyce Byers or maybeee Terry Ives.
If he was a test subject, its likely he went "crazy" with some of his powers and the government couldn't cover it up so they declare him mentally insane to get him committed, and he probably goes insane being locked away as well. Personally, I think he may be 001 or an early test subject, when they were still working out the kinks of the program, and I think he does have a big connection to the upside down.
The Duffer Brother's on s4: "In Hawkins a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything"....
Now let's get into the possibilities for Creel's storyline/who he could be related to (split into 3 parts).
Part 1: Creel could be Joyce's father
Based on Victor Creel's description as "disturbed" and that he is "in a psychiatric hospital", it could connect him to Joyce's bloodline.
There are several comments in the show hinting to this idea of mental instability in Joyce's family:
s1 ep.5: When Lonnie comes to visit in s1 after Will goes missing, Joyce says to Lonnie "No, don't look at me like that, like how everyone is looking at me, like I'm out of my damn mind" He responds saying "I think you need to consider the possibility that this is all in your head. Remember your Aunt Darlene?" Joyce quickly replies, "No, this is not that."
That conversation, although quick, is very telling. Lonnie is implying that Joyce had an aunt who was mentally unstable - and Joyce clearly knows about her aunt being unstable because she responds to his comment by saying what's she's experiencing is not that (the mental instability of her aunt)
s2 ep.2: Joyce says to Bob, "this is not a normal family", when he suggest moving out of Hawkins.
I used to think Joyce was always was referring to the whole 'my son got stuck in an alternate dimension with supernatural monsters and is now traumatized, and we were sworn to secrecy by the government' thing but maybe she is also referring to her biological family.
s1 ep.2: When they are searching for Will, one of the other police officers, says "Joyce is one step from the edge" and the other officer responds "She has been several steps for quite a while now".
If Joyce is related to Victor Creel biologically, and he did also happen to be a test subject, has powers, or has some other relation to the upside down, this could possibly have contributed to whatever kind of abilities Will has, because he would be a descendant of Creel. But Joyce does not seem to have any powers and neither does Jonathan. If they were related to Creel, it's odd that they both didn't get powers, but Will did. I've always thought Will was born with his powers, like El.
We know almost nothing about Joyce's past, it's never discussed in the slightest in the show, which I feel like is purposeful. We don't know Joyce's maiden name; she doesn't change it back after she and Lonnie divorce. Maybe the Duffers are saving Joyce's backstory for s4 (and possibly s5), like I think they are doing with Will and El's connection. Will, El, Hopper, and Joyce were pictured in a series of 4 tweets posted by the stranger writers, hinting to the main 4 storylines for season 4. My analyzation of this tweet here.
I think it's possible that Joyce's storyline this season could also have to do with her past- not just her searching for Hopper- but also more personal information about her. Perhaps we will see flashbacks of younger Joyce and maybe learn about her biological relatives.
Noah also said this would be the darkest season for Will, so this idea of being the grandkid of someone evil or disturbed could fit into that.
Part 2: Creel could be Terry's father/Eleven's grandfather
The only other person I could see potentially having a biological; relation to Victor Creel could be Terry Ives and Eleven, (because it would complete the Star Wars parallel mentioned earlier) but it's a stretch for several reasons, the main one being that Terry and Becky's father Bill Ives, died in a car crash (year unknown).
So for Victor Creel to be Terry's father that either has to be:
Her adoptive father OR
Her mother cheated and led Mr. Ives to believe Terry was his kid but her father is really Victor Creel, and Becky is actually Bill Ives son (which would explain why Becky has no powers)
Right of the bat it's interesting Terry's father's name is Bill. Bill is a nickname for William (Will Byers full name is William), and Billy's a nickname also for William... Hmmm....
Immediately after El is born, Terry is adamant that Brenner stole her child to use as a weapon to fight the commies BECAUSE SHE HAD SPECIAL ABILITIES - and she's completely right about everything. How does Terry know El had powers immediately after she was born? Because she knows she has developed some kind of special abilities from the experiments as well. When El goes to visit her mother in s2, THE LIGHTS FLICKER, just like they do when the upside down is near, but it's not Eleven controlling it. Her Aunt Becky says it's just the wiring, and Eleven responds: "IT'S MAMA. She wants to talk." And then we see Terry's NOSE BLEED, just like El's does when she uses her powers.
Quick side note about El's biological father is Andrew Rich: (It's revealed in the canon novel Suspicious Minds that Andrew Rich is El's father) He was a college student who got expelled from school due to protesting the Nixon address, making him eligible to be drafted in the Vietnam war, and he died in battle. Terry was involved in the Project MKUltra experiments at Hawkins National Laboratory in College, under the direction of Dr. Martin Brenner, but didn't know she was pregnant at the time. Andrew never even knew Terry was pregnant, meaning she was extremely early on in her pregancy at the time he was sent away, not even Terry was aware yet. It's also stated in this book that BRENNER HAD A HAND IN GETTING ANDREW EXPELLED SO HE COULD SEND ANDREW AWAY. The novel states that Brenner has Andrew drafted because he wants to SCARE Terry, to show her how much power he has over her life. There's definitely some history between Terry and Brenner that we don't know about yet.
If Victor Creel is in fact Joyce's father it's interesting that the powers seem to have skipped a generation with Joyce, and also one kid with the Byers, but if Victor Creel is Terry's father, no generations were skipped in passing down powers. ANYWAYS, this is all just theories and speculation since we have no actual concrete reasons to believe he will be related to Joyce or Terry.
Part 3: The possibility that Creel could be involved in Eleven's storyline this season does not rely on them being biologically related.
**One of the filming locations for this season is the Claremont House, which is RUMORED to be Creel's house and also "Vecna's lair" the new monster for s4 (unconfirmed) This is the house the Hawkins group goes into in the ST4 sneak peek, where they see the grandfather clock striking midnight. If that's true, there's a connection between Creel and the upside down and having powers, which could connect Creel to Eleven. The Duffers: "In Hawkins a new horror is beginning to surface, something long buried, something that connects everything". This thing "that connects everything", could be Creel's storyline (his possible connection to the lab/upside down/person in the show), because Creel's storyline also spans all the way back to the 1950's and before that, so there's our "long buried" part most likely.
Robert Englund recently revealed in *an interview* that his character Victor Creel gouges his eyes out, making him unable to see. Englund also mentions what it's like working with Millie Bobby Brown and talks about the first time her met her, he doesn't mention any other cast members in detail like he does Millie.
He's clearly working closely with Millie's character Eleven.
But why? I think Creel could be involved with Eleven getting her powers back, and her reliving her past. Once the government baddies realize El has no powers, they're gonna want them back. If Creel was in fact a test subject, maybe there is some kind of connection between them, Such as Eleven revisiting what happened to her in her past and how that could relate to her getting her powers back.
Another thought I had was that perhaps the gruesome murder he committed is somehow related to something that ends up impacting in Eleven's life.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Whatever Victor Creel's storyline is, it will be an important one, and it will carry somewhat into s5, since he will be a returning character. He is not signed as a series regular, but as a recurring character, which means we don't really know to what capacity he will be in s5. It could be flashbacks mostly, or he could have just as big or small of a role.

That detail about eyes being gouged out reminds me of fear street 1666 when the townsmen who was sacrificed to the devil becomes possessed and gouges the kids eyes out. Leigh Janick, director of fear street, is married to Ross Duffer. They both direct and make horror/sci-fi themed series about kids in a small town set in the 80's, who fight supernatural evil with a heavy undertone of queer themes, that are even filmed in a lot of the same locations (the mall, the town streets, etc.) I'm not saying it's the same thing, it definitely won't be. But there's so many similarities between ST and Fear Street, I thought I would mention this as another.
