Hyping my night, once more, as it was the very first, with a tuberose. This flower drives me into velvet nights of faraway stars, in a sidereal dimension where the most profound persuasive words are the unspoken ones.

è un ricordo infantile, é polvere di stelle in una notte blu velluto, è uno sguardo di contemplazione e stupore, un messaggio subliminale nel mistero della bellezza.

Così Thibaud Crivelli si è lasciato incantare e sorprendere da questo fiore, lontano dal suo immaginario eppure così prepotentemente presente nella memoria.

Un frammento mnemonico così vivido e impaziente da ispirare il suo ultimo Extrait de Parfum, composto in collaborazione col master perfumer Quentin Bisch, in cui la tuberosa si staglia, come stella di Ursa Major, nell’oscurità della volta celeste attirando a sé un pulviscolo crepitante di aromi armoniosi.

Avvincente l’apertura con l’inesorabile appagamento sensoriale della vaniglia qui ritoccata in audacia da una sottile incisione di cumino.

Ed ecco, in maestoso splendore, i protagonisti: la tuberosa (indiana orpur) con le sue sfumature lattiginose soffici di crema e miele, la vertigine fruttata dell’osmanto (cinese orpur) e l’olio essenziale di seme di carota che sigilla in longevità gli accenti poudré e la delicatezza peachy d’insieme.

Carezzevole il finale, morbido e profondo, sostenuto da un accordo muschi, cuoio, patchouli, cisto, vaniglia, impeccabile nel consentire alla tuberosa di vibrare in ricercatezza senza vanteria, in sensualità senza inganno.

Alex's scent- Le Labo Santal 33

I love this fragrance so much! The description may make it seem wild and masculine, but it's actually a very mature and composed unisex scent. Santal 33 opens with a relatively strong leather note, along with the woodiness of cedar. Sandalwood stays in the background to provide a sense of steadiness. To me papyrus is really the star support here- it tones down the "cowboy" elements while adding sophistication.

I had imagined Alex's fragrance to be more on the suave and smug side, but Santal 33 really works well for the politician side of Alex- that's probably why Henry smells it on Alex when they get pushed into the janitor closet. This is also an incredibly calming scent so it would be a great choice for any time Alex might be bothered by anxiety. However, IMHO, Alex would wear something more playful when he's out partying😆

Santal 33 shares similarities with Maison Crivelli Papyrus Moleculaire, which I also adore💖

hi aleks! <3 i hope all is well i wanted to ask what are your fav masculine perfumes? im thinking abt branching out w my scents and i have to consult the experts (you and elina)

AJSHDSK ria omg I'm not even close to an expert and didn't try enough of the ones I would love to yet 😔

Idk what to call masculine tbh without checking what's what on fragrantica, but would just write the ones I can think of now, and we are in the summer so this can probably get way less heavy (still also I didn't try enough of the ones I could probably easily write here if I did)

within the ones I own:

- papyrus by maison crivelli (yeah the sandalwood will smell like a pickle to some and yeah ik it's kinda a dupe),

- black gold by mancera (this is probably the safest option also a bit boring but it smells amazing on me so yeah),

- L'eau des Hesperides diptyque (let's call the 10ml owning and this is SO overpriced tbh for this kind of smell but this is the only fresher one I like that will fit also had to copy the name),

and the other ones I tried and liked a lot:

- myrrh and tonka by Jo Malone,

- 701 by bon parfumeur,

- telegrama from imaginary authors ( and honestly this is so not lavender on me and it's the only one that stays on me and I probably told myself I like it a lot, but I would suggest trying more of theirs - shout out to elina bc she told me about them!!),

- caravansérail Intense from Nicolai ( tho idk if i remember it well enough),

- chergui from serge lutens,

hi! :-) are there any discovery sets that you would recommend? also what was your best blind buy

i love the eldo discovery set theres literally sooooo much and their stuff is pretty interesting if not all to my tastes🙂and i liked the jovoy set as well their fragrances are very artful and lovely! and maison crivelli has a really cool set they have color changing scent strips i think? so really neat. overall though i am not a huge discovery kit person as nicely presented as they can be. cuz what are the odds that i will like every single fragrance from a brand..i see sampling more as a way to try stuff you think you really will like before seriously considering buying a full bottle yknow. but i also get the appeal of discovering a house and their creations as well and discovering what you do and dont like so idek💃🏻

and my most successful blind buy was tom ford bitter peach honestly which was a stupid as hell decision cuz its way too expensive but i did buy it secondhand. but its one of my favorites probably top 3 or maybe even two cuz its so beautiful to me:,)
