I went through both chemotherapy and radiation therapy at the age of 5. The cancer and tumor I had could have killed me without the use of medical science. I also had about 11 years of remission, and everything is cleared.

I understand that taking care of yourself naturally is important, but without medical science and skilled doctors, i would have died. I'm not saying don't do natural remedies, but don't doubt medical science either.

But again, there's gonna be people who are gonna tell me I'm going to die because of my treatments.

🌟Happy August Everyone. Hello, Thank you for following along 💛

I wanted to take some time to really write out explicit content just for this Tumblr page. I've been trying to figure out the best way to navigate having multiple platforms for the same things. Many times that simply looks like copying and pasting everything between sites. I think of it as "expanding my reach", but I also have to consider that although some people may follow along on more than one platform, I still have to find what's unique about each one. For Tumblr, I know pictures and short videos are great, but it seems as if writing is what gets the crowd going. I want to try to be more intentional about that while still mixing in the visual content that most desire. Like Usual, at least as of late, I've pre-recorded an introductory video for the month of August introducing energies, downloads and spirit messages that come in the form of advice, questions for us to ponder on, a little heart to heart and let's not forget readings . Find the link to that video at the end of this post! August 2024 is jam packed with astrological & spiritual activities that will manifest in our physical realities one way or another. My job as a spiritualist is to not just let you know what's on the way, but to give information that could potentially increase benefits and decrease challenges. It's also to help keep us PRESENT. If we were waiting for a climatic moment this summer, I think this month might be it. For me personally, the summer has been a challenging time requiring both strategy and surrender, openness yet protection. I've been managing pains of the past, while simultaneously enjoying the simplicities of the present and setting intentions and high hopes of the future. Summer 2024 definitely feels like a waiting game....

In the 2nd Eclipse of 2024 (Pisces New Moon Solar Eclipse) I discussed how a REBIRTH is starting to occur. Since Fall 2023, I've also spoken on LABOR PAINS. Scroll/Revisit older content both written and recorded to find these moments. Serious, major and permanent changes are unfolding and it's taken about 5 years for us to truly arrive to this sort of "promised land". It doesn't matter what you see online, EVERYONE is going through something and has been through things that are challenging to our morals, psyche and more.

Something is happening. This month is one where, starting off, we have a mixture of ALL elements (water, earth,air,fire) in the sky. The Sun is in Cancer until mid month. Saturn's retrograde through Aquarius continues. Jupiter & Mars are in Taurus and there's the steady roll call of planets transiting Leo. By the month's end we'll also begin Sidereal Virgo transits and an introduction to Part 2 of 2024's Eclipses. Of course I'll have content translating the meaning of transits & astrological events, but in general I want to introduce the month of August as a month of Realignment, Recommitment, Reawakening. With Leo's energy in the sky we are gifted the power of presence. To be fully in one place at one time. When we don’t allow ourselves to be easily distracted/divided, we can truly tap into to the power of each moment and really live life accordingly. Right now this present moment says :

Get back on track...

Not just with "goals" and to do lists, dieting, exercise and other tangible goals. Get back on track with your Spirit, with your true essence. The nature of why you came here in the first place. Many of us have been fighting internally / externally. But Sometimes, the battle is won not through confrontations, but in transcendence. Remember your Light : who you are/wish to be/have always been. The part that shines brightest and is undeniable. August is a month not just to re-up on good habits & apply pressure if needed, but to get back to YOU. To be fully present with your favorite self and let that natural, effortless light shine through. It's also a time to protect and preserve yourself from anything or anyone who seeks to detract from what the light within wishes to express with out.

When I took these pictures I felt peace and happiness. I felt better. I felt aligned. I felt like I got something I needed when I recorded this video too. I felt centered. I felt ready to face whatever's next because I know that good or bad, it does not have to change the ESSENCE of who I am, the gifts I possess and calling I have on my life. I just have to be present. And that's what I really want us to focus on this month... leaning into your core, your essence, your nature and living more fully with that part of you. Moon shows us how we process our trauma and wounds:

Moon in Aries/1st house : screams, throws things around (maybe also breaks a few things), if anyone reminds them of their wounds/traumas, they'd literally break that person's neck; they might recklessly drive, play with fire or drink excessively out of anger

Moon in Taurus/2nd house : resorts to retail therapy, cooks their favourite meals, gets some comfy pillow and blankets and watches their favourite show; they're slow to heal their wounds, but they manage to do so

Moon in Gemini/3rd house : overanalyzes what happened to the point that they've thought of every scenario possible, (if they have more than one wound/trauma) switches between wounds, is usually open about their wounds and traumas with siblings and acquaintances

Moon in Cancer/4th house : cries 24/7, acts distant with people who are not close to them and defensive with those who want to talk about their feelings; they tend to have very, very unhealthy coping mechanisms (aka they resort to self-harm)

Moon in Leo/5th house : transforms their pain & wounds into a form of art - whether it's through dancing, painting, singing, acting, photography, videography; sometimes they might not recognize how much their past affects them, especially around others, they boast about how "it wasn't that bad" even though they're clearly affected by what happened

Moon in Virgo/6th house : focuses on the details, what they could have done better and what they didn't, easily becomes anxious, cleaning the house becomes a form of therapy for them; in case of physical wounds, they document themselves very well (sometimes they are even able to heal themselves, since this Moon sign in Chiron persona chart has a sort of 6th sense about medicinal procedures)

Moon in Libra/7th house : their s/o knows every pain, wound and traumas they've ever experienced, analyzes the past in a logical manner and tries to find a healthy coping mechanism, without hurting anyone else in the process; listens to sad, romantic songs

Moon in Capricorn/10th house : replays the past over and over again, they numb their emotions, if asked about their wounds/traumas, they answer very stoic; they also tend to be more realistic and don't like to tell themselves lies or hear lies about their trauma

Moon in Aquarius/11th house : resorts to technology to cope with the pain, is usually open about their wounds and traumas with their friends or on social media, but not with family; they might try some unusual coping mechanisms

Moon in Pisces/12th house : they isolate themselves from everyone in order to cope with the pain, meditation and breathing techniques are their to-go methods of calming their anxiety down; if they don't manage to cope in a healthy way, they dissociate and go through a depersonalization process or an addiction takes over them (drinking, smoking, they overuse medication etc.)

Jupiter shows us where we're blessed, but fail to see. The stronger the modality, the more obvious it is to other people.

People with heavy Venus energy in their chart will usually go for looks in a partner first before they get to know their personality. Physical beauty is very crucial for them to be happy in a relationship if they don’t find you physically attractive good luck lol (when I say physically attractive I don’t mean “conventional” however it could be, they just need to be attracted to their appearance before they decide to take it deeper). this isn’t always the case but I see it a lot.

On the flip side, Venus in Scorpio can have some very unattractive partners sometimes. But this is because they are attracted to sex appeal in their partner & depth compared to classic beauty. They tend to like partners that scare them a little or just have a more intimidating presence.

Capricorn moons are usually cat people. I have no idea why but every person I’ve seen with this placement had a strong liking for cats or just prefer cats over dogs.

Leo placement’s do not like when someone they like is being entertained by someone else. They can get really jealous if they see their person bonding with someone too much (Especially the moon & rising). They’re usually very obvious when they’re jealous too they have a harder time hiding that.

Leo suns all have such a deep connection with music. Which is why a lot choose to work in the music industry or produce their own music. It’s like therapy for them.

The worst moon compatibility I’ve experienced was a moon in Aries & moon in cancer. These folks emotional natures are soooo different. Aries usually views cancer as too emotional and weak and cancer sees Aries as insensitive and self centered. This can work with A-LOT of compromise. But these partners exhaust each other out faster than most.

Gemini moons usually grew up in a very social house. Could’ve always had different friends coming over a lot or just very chatty family members that could’ve threw a lot of parties or social events. They were usually always surrounded by people growing up.

Once someone with a Moon in the 8th house finds someone they can be their true selves with they will find it very hard to let them go. It’s very rare these people trust anyone with their inner feelings.

Sagittarius moons I notice are very uncomfortable with emotions that aren’t “positive” they can view overly sensitive people as mood killers. They are bizarrely always in a good mood themselves.

Hey sex witch. I’ve never done anything below the belt with another person and I didn’t have very good sex ed growing up, so I’m not sure if this is abnormal or not. I’m a light-skinned poc and there are areas on the creases of my labia minora that are darker than others. as is often the case, porn is a poor substitute for real life. most people's genitals and nipples get a little darker and more visible during puberty, and may be a range of colors. it's perfectly natural, in same way that it's completely normal for your skin to be darker or lighter on other parts of your body. almost nothing about human bodies is uniform, and that includes our coloration!

Reverse: 1999 : Disabled Characters

The game doesn't stray too far on the neurodivergent allegory for the arcanists themselves. But at the same time, there are also inclusions of other characters who are very much known to be disabled. So for this post I'll delve into that, just a bit.

Now, there are 10 characters that I want to put in the spotlight. These mostly lean towards being canon, but a part of these are also researched upon and shortened so the post doesn’t become way too long.

Cristallo, Rabies, Erick : Chronic Illness

It's quite self explanatory that Cristallo herself has a chronic illness. She was born prematurely, with an added condition that makes her physically fragile. As seen in the game, she needs a life-support system to maintain her health when she's outside. It's also implied that her condition may be a recurrent cancer, as her arcane abilities are tied to a machine that provides cobalt therapy, a known advancement in radiotherapy in the post-WWII era.

Rabies is an odd case. In his stories, it's noted that Adam cured Alicia through unknown means at the cost of contracting rabies himself. However, instead of the virus being acute and guaranteed to be fatal, it becomes a chronic illness to Rabies due to the abundance and use of arcanum. And since the rabies virus attacks the brain, his cognitive capabilities and ability to recall things before the present had been impaired, making him rather docile and animal-like in nature as a result.

Erick, as revealed in her anecdote, has a hereditary blood condition that came with her arcane skill. With her arcane skill making her physically powerful, overusing it will accelerate the effects of her blood condition to the point that it can become fatal. To prevent this, she also inherited an armband from her grandfather, Harald. The armband suppresses one's ability to use arcane skills, but by extension it also prevents Erick's condition getting worse.

Shamane : Amputee

Shamane's circumstances are also self-explanatory. He lost his arm for unknown reasons, but after having lived without it for 20 years, it doesn't bother him anymore. However as we know, he crafted his prosthetic arm as a means to avoid scaring kids. (which I think is quite cool in itself)

Ms. Radio, Bessmert : Blindness

Ms. Radio and our new friend, Bessmert, are both canonically blind. Ms. Radio has stated that she cannot see, and asks Vertin to left in places where she can feel temperatures to make her feel at peace.

And as we know, Yenisei (or in other words, Yenisei's VA) has stated in the 1.6 livestream that Bessmert is known to be blind, but even with that, she's a great researcher and guide to her.

Mesmer Jr. : OCD [Content Warning: Mentions of Self Harm and Suicide.]

Mesmer Jr.'s character has heavily implied throughout the main story and her own to have OCD as a result of the traumatic experiences she had gone through from her field of work and her family’s history in it. She identifies that she has "incurable" anxiety, which causes her to think differently about arcanists and act a little irrationally from our own perspective. This anxiety results in double checking everything and having a slightly intensive routine.

This routine is created as a means to maintain herself and her own sanity, but an imbalance or interruption can greatly upset her. As a result, she has conflicting ideals, experiences hallucinations and panic attacks, has suicidal thoughts, and actively inflicts self harm as a means to cope with her anxiety. However, she’s calmer and at peace with herself when she's left alone in a quieter and clean space, away from others, and where nature is heard more than constant buzzing. In short, Mesmer Jr.’s mental health is really complex and would be better if it's explored in a separate post.

Baby Blue : Alice in Wonderland syndrome

It's no secret that Baby Blue has Alice in Wonderland syndrome, or in other words dysmetropsia. This affects her perception of reality and her ability to recall, but this in turn makes her arcane abilities all the more powerful. As a result, she doesn't realize that she's growing up, yet it seems she doesn't mind that much. This doesn't seem to affect her physically either; In fact, it has a heavy influence on how she displays her arcane skills.

Poltergeist : Social Anxiety

Poltergeist has been known to be anxious in social settings which conflicts with her people-pleasing tendencies. She's also insecure about herself which adds up to her not wanting to be directly perceived. At the same time, she doesn't like being left alone as a result of having been ignored and forgotten post mortem. Poltergeist is also elaborate (i.e. not wanting to be looked at for too long) yet awkward at the same time when communicating them.

However, I'm not sure how to describe Poltergeist's case quite well, but the idea of her having social anxiety resonates greatly in my mind, so it can be treated as a partial headcanon.

Balloon Party : Autism and Speech Impairment

Balloon Party as a child had contracted an illness that caused her to have a persistent high fever. In the end, she awakened her arcane skill this way, with her being able to cough up balloons that can be harmful or a cure to anything.

However, it might have also affected her speech because of the physical strain that comes from coughing, it results to BP's speech being a bit slow and having abnormal pauses before she speaks again. Though, this also might be a sign of her possibly also having autism, where rigid and uneven language development is a common pattern in how autism affects one's ability in communication. Her speech also has a pattern of echolalia, having a flat tone, and lack of control of it.

However, speech impediment isn't everything about autism, and there's a lot more about BP's character that also connects with it such as her special interests. I can better explore this in a different post, which will be explained below.

Last Notes

These are the characters I’ve written down, most of these are less headcanon and more of observations I’ve found when looking into these characters. Some people from the lore chat have also added their own insights on some of them. (Thank you lupjo for beta-reading through it and helping me out) 

Of course, there are a few more characters I want to discuss because of the implications of them having autism / ADHD, but these will be written in another post in the future because I still need to research and gather other information. Additionally, it would be an opportunity to talk about the connections between an arcanist’s and neurodivergent person’s relationships with modern society.

⛰️: Saturn in Cancer can be one of the most difficult placements to have Saturn in because it mostly tells us about a problem with nurturing/taking care of yourself but also family issues = all these combined (Applied to Saturn in the 4th house or Saturn in Cancer Degrees 4°, 16°, 28°)
