CARE BEAR FANART!!!!!1!(NO CLICKBAIT)

This is my very first post. I did care bears because, why not? I combined elements from the 80s specials, Adventures In Care-a-lot from the 2000s, and Unlock The Magic, which recently ended, I think.

Cheer Bear(the pink one with the rainbow🩷🌈) has her bangs from the 80s and the rainbow bow. Yet, I kinda unashamedly took her belly badge from the Hub series(the one with the terrifyingly CGI humans). Let's all be real for a second. Those curls were locks. I enjoyed doing the colored for her, 2023 was just a dope teer for pink with the Barbie movie and with G3 Draculaura having most of my favorite designs in Monster High.

I don't know why but Share Bear(the purple one with the 'fro💜🍡) has always given "if that charge were human, they'd be black" energy so I gave her an afro puff. I also changed her belly badge from lollipops to cake pops because of the fact that Share would often also be a baker in most iterations. It's also a slight nod to when she has a milkshake with two straws.

Wish Bear(the cyan one with stars🩵🌠) is my favorite bear next to non-binary icon Funshine Bear simply because in every iteration(excluding the Hub version), she's given an interesting character. Maybe I'm just biased because cyan is my favorite color. Wish's two stars under the shooting one are a reference to the two sunflowers they were in her original design. And, I gave her star cheeks, but I might change it back to diamonds.

One thing I noticed about the 2020s era and 2000s Era is that the 2000s have the bears actually look like they have fur while the 2010s design was going a lot more for simpler shapes end lines, using black lines which is what I mostly do anyways. The 2000s Era also did the Rise TMNT thing, where they designed the characters with unique little features. I think facial expressions were also important with that being another win for the 2020s version, seeing as that version does a pretty great job of getting across the unique personalities of each bear. Kind of what I did here with Cheer being a preppy little ankle biter, Share judging your sins, and Wish trying to keep it together.

Timeskip: Okay- for the most part I love everyone’s Timeskip designs and I adored seeing perona, mihawk, and Zoro BUT I HATE HATE HATE HATE. That the white washed So many of the crew Robin, Ussopp, and I think Zoro too are much paler. Sure their outfit and hair are nice but not worth the change of skin tone :/ plus Robin would look so much better in her older skin tone cause she honestly slays. On another note Luffy with the disguise was silly

Jimbei/Fishman Island: LOVE LOVE LOVE JIMBEI AND HIS DYNAMIC WITH LUFFY 😭😭😭 And Luffy casually coming back after two years and choosing to fight in a civil war and then declare war against an emperor is ✨Iconic✨ I loved the princess too and I think the way luffy was just so ‘I don’t like you :/‘ was funny, additionally Luffy just riding a kraken and reeking havoc is amazing. Also everyone’s new abilities specifically chopper and Franky’s are super neat!! In short Jimbei is peak, luffy is slay, and I love them

Dressrosa/Punk Hazard: Punk Hazard, kinda boring besides the lore behind the island that was cool! :D I think it was a good intro to the grand line, and gave a better grasp as to how strong everyone really has gotten. It additionally I think gave us an even better insight then we already have into Choppers character and I enjoyed that!! Dressrosa I’m almost finished at the time of this post and I have to say it’s amazing, from the backstories (Law and Rebecca 😭😭😭) to the revolutionary army, marine admiral, disguises and everything in between its just amazing, and 4th gear‼️‼️‼️‼️ ALSO the fighting coliseum was my favourite cause it reminded me of Pokémon and we got to see Sabo and he’s my favourite 🥺👉👈

Also the scene between Franky and Luffy where Luffy just looks up at Franky practically begging to enter for the devil fruit is so— omgogmgogmgomg it shows just how understanding the strawhats are of each others feelings and are willing to empathize with each other and go through anything for one another. It also gave somewhat of a look into how the straw hats seem to be very fragile around the topic of Ace for Luffy and are willing to do whatever to try and help him recover from that situation no matter the cost (if you couldn’t tell the strawhats dynamic is very important to me)

Sabo: Again same as law deserving of his own rant. OGMGOGMGOGMGOGJGHSUSHCJSIISDB AHHHHHHH I LOVE HIM SO SOSOSOSOOSOSOSOSOSO MUCH HES SO SILLY AND HIM AND LUFFY HAVE ME SO HAPPY 😭😭😭 He is so girl boss. anyways i have seen people yet again missing the point of finnick and his character and what happened to him, going so far as to say they don’t understand why he died because it did nothing for the plot and didn’t move the story forward.

you don’t get it bro, that’s the point. his death had no point. it was cruel and pointless because that is what happens in a war. in real life you don’t sit and wonder how the death of a fallen soldier advances the plot, dude. there doesn’t need to be a reason for every death and the reason for finnicks is there isn’t one. the war is merciless and killing is not something calculated every single time. there is not a situation in which every single character could have possibly survived all of those encounters that would not be obvious fiction because SOMEONE needs to die. and someone will.

many others died and we knew this would happen when katniss and finnick both made a reference to this being “the 76th hunger games” before they went on that mission. in fact, multiple times they referred to this as a suicide mission and quite often discussed that everyone could very possibly die. of course finnicks death came as a shock, as all deaths do, but people saying they didn’t understand why he “needed” to die i feel don’t understand the point of most of the book. not to shit on anyone’s intelligence either, because i understand that often deaths in fiction are used to make a point or add to the plot, and honestly when i first read the book i also questioned it. though my question was more like “WHYYYY WHY GOD PLEADE WHY” and a lot of incoherent nonsense but nevertheless

i did see a tumblr post that i wish i could remember but it was a ss from pinterest many years ago, and it talked about how the pointlessness of finnicks death was, in fact, the whole point, and i remember it every time i hear people saying they felt like there was no purpose for it.

some things just don’t have meaning. that is how life is. most of the deaths in the hunger games had no meaning, but nobody really cared until finnick, often because they were attracted to him (not everybody, but generally these two ideas are found together. people preaching about how handsome he was and how sexy and then going on to complain that he died for no reason. still objectified even after everything, even in death) or, of course, found him more interesting as a character than some of the others.

i wish i knew a better way to explain this so it was easy to understand and my point got across better but i really don’t know how. i’m just tired of this same thing over and over especially with the new influx of hunger games content and stuff and people talking about it more. people die for no reason. that’s just how it works
