Mousebusters follows a protagonist who gets mysteriously transformed into a mouse and must now rid a haunted apartment building of ghosts to break the curse.

Enlist as a Mousebuster and Take On Missions!

The day after moving into your new living space, you wake up to find that you’ve been inexplicably transformed into a mouse. Luckily, you soon meet a hard-boiled rodent with a crass but loveable manner of speaking who asks you to call him “Chief.” He claims he can help you turn back into a human…if you’re willing to undertake a few missions for him in return. Together, you’ll form the titular team, and embark on expeditions to bust the ghosts that haunt each unit and break the curse on the apartment building.

Explore Each Apartment Through a Mouse’s Eyes!

The apartment is home to a variety of residents, each with their own unique background and personality quirks. The ghosts seem to prey upon the tenants’ negative emotions and insecurities, and won’t reveal themselves immediately, so good observation skills and quick thinking will be the key to exorcising them. You’ll have to scour each room while avoiding detection to solve environmental puzzles and manipulate the tenants in just the right way to draw out the ghosts!

Zap Ghosts in an All-New Battle System!　

But don’t think these phantoms will go down without a fight! You’ll have to use your trusty ghost zapper to protect yourself from projectiles and hit their weak points in tense showdowns in order to bust them for good. You can also train your sharpshooting skills through a virtual simulator on an in-game terminal, and even earn some sweet loot if you manage to rack up enough points!

A Story Rich in Suspense and Intrigue

With a little persistence, you might be able to vanquish the ghosts, but your job doesn’t end there! You’ll also have to dive headfirst into a full-blown conspiracy surrounding the apartment building and uncover the Chief’s secret past to purge the darkness once and for all… Can you reach the end of this rabbit hole, or will you succumb to the ghastly ghouls lurking below the floorboards?

So I stumbled on Meg’s Monster via an ad on my work laptop, played the demo and fell in love with it, before buying the game and finishing it within a day. This particular scene really jumped out at me, specifically when Roy turns around to stare at the drawings before answering. I’ve been really into doing comics lately, so I illustrated it!

Because if she cries, the whole world dies. Meg, the human child, (whose tears just so happen to hold the power to bring forth the apocalypse) winds up in a world full of mutants and monsters. They also eat humans for breakfast. It’s up to a hulking brute named Roy and his pal Golan to help her make it back home. While they scour the Underworld for clues regarding her mother’s location. So the trio slowly warm up to one another. While also uncovering some truly amazing secrets about their world and themselves.

Meg’s Monster’s retro style and simple in presentation quickly unfolds into a challenging, amusing, and must-play RPG. The story quickly pulls the player into the story while at the same time giving a real empathy for the characters. Over 50,000 words of dialogue give a rich and compelling story to the many battles coming as you venture forth. Each battle comes with its own unique mechanics and minigames to master. So you can duke it out while protecting and keeping Meg happy with her favourite toys. Yes, keeping Meg calm and happy is just one underlying factor. A nice toy will achieve this. But it’s not that simple in Meg’s Monster. Roy, the monster, has 99999 HP and is almost invincible (as in almost every enemy can’t kill him; think Saitama from One Punch Man). However, when he takes damage, the other protagonist, Meg, takes emotional and mental damage in Meg’s Monster. Since she is a child and can’t bear to see Roy getting hurt. If her mental gauge reaches zero, she’ll cry and the world ends. This means that players will need to balance Meg’s mood, as well as defeating enemies that want to destroy them. Roy will need to use toys to keep Meg happy and prevent her from crying. The Demo for Linux, Mac, and Windows PC is available on Steam. Should you want to test your skill at keeping Meg calm. Also, famed Monster Hunter, Hi-Fi Rush, and Atelier Ryza 2 composer Reo Uratani, and a main theme featuring ethereal, otherworldly lyrics written and performed by Laura Shigihara of Plants vs Zombies™, To the Moon, Rakuen, and Deltarune fame, Meg’s Monster soundtrack has much to offer. Get to Know Your New Neighbors

In each apartment, you’ll find a different ghost—but it won’t be that easy to track them down. It seems they prey on negative emotions, so in order to smoke them out, you’ll have to do some major recon to figure out each resident’s biggest insecurities. Just don’t get caught!

A Partner You Can Count On

Luckily, you won’t have to go it alone, because you’ll be in frequent contact with the Chief throughout each mission. From his comfy desk at HQ, he’ll offer plenty of guidance and comedic commentary as you scour the building and solve puzzles to find each ghost.
