This thought came to my mind last night, but imo, I think for the decision that N would have to make, there's a bit more than just choosing the universe over the one drone he loves.

Because like, in the past, he's always been called useless and terrible, because J has said he's, well, useless and terrible (in the pilot at least), so if he were to choose to save Uzi instead of the universe, there’d be a chance of someone (probably J) saying "Once again, N has done something useless" or “You’ve really messed up,” or something like that. Once again, N has done a fuck up, and this one was a major fuck up, and for how he (once) wanted to prove to the team that he was anything but useless, N could not have made a worse decision.

However, it he were to choose the universe over Uzi, it would be like betraying her when she needed him most. He would be no better than the other drones that would leave her. He would be no better than her father. If he chose the universe over the one drone that actually helped him stand up for himself, the one drone that’s actually made a difference in his life, he would be just like everyone else that left Uzi.

He knows that Uzi doesn’t wanna be left alone once again, he knows she doesn’t want him to leave her like everyone else did. He’s the only one she really has. He’s the only one that stood by her side when no one else did. It just wouldn’t feel right to leave her now.

So basically, N is damned if he chooses one path, and he's damned if he chooses the other path. Like a "damned if I do and damned if I don't" kinda situation, and honestly, I feel really bad for him.

This wip is loosely based on this post of mine and based on the initial outline I expect it to total out around 20k, but I have like 3 much longer fics on my list before this, so it probably won't be written any time soon, but it wouldn't leave my mind today, so!

After a serious injury on the job, Eddie takes up light duty as the temporary Instagram Manager of the LAFD and even though he's now physically healed, he's still not ready to return to active duty. The job has its perks though; namely the new guy who joined the 118 shortly after Eddie left.

“Hey Diaz, sure you don’t want in on the action instead of playing around with your camera?” Buck asked, lifting his helmet a little, probably to see Eddie better in the harsh sunlight.

He had ash smudged all over his face, giving him a ragged edge that Eddie thought fit him just a little too well. His turnout coat was open, revealing just how tight his shirt hugged his body underneath.

“And what if I prefer the camera?” Eddie asked playfully. “And I told you to call me Eddie.”

“Not until you tell me what it’s short for.” Buck grinned at him teasingly and Eddie clicked the button on his camera again, to capture the way the sun hit his laugh lines; sue him, the man was gorgeous.

Buck had this weird thing for nicknames and though Eddie found it kind of endearing, he didn’t really understand why Buck didn’t just ask the team what his name was if he wanted to know so badly — maybe it was part of some kind of game that Eddie never learned the rules for.

“You know this year’s calendar is coming up.” Eddie said, lowering his camera back down to his chest.

“Yeah? Are you the one shooting it?” Buck stepped in closer, still holding the jaws of life in his hands while everyone continued packing up behind him.

“Why? Would that make you wanna do it more or less?”

Buck chuckled lightly, before swiping a gloved finger across the tip of his nose, leaving yet another black mark there.

“I don’t know. Am I gonna be the only one taking my clothes off?” He raised his eyebrows suggestively and Eddie only had time to roll his eyes jovially before he was cut off by Hen.

“Stop riling up the poor guy and help us put these away, I’m starving!”

“I’m n-not rili—” Buck stammered, all his earlier bravado suddenly gone.

“Come on Buckaroo, it’s lunch time.” Chimney chimed in as well, walking past them and dropping his medkit into the back of the ambulance.

Buck looked back at Eddie and shrugged sheepishly. “Duty calls.”

“Yeah... I gotta upload these too.” He lifted his camera with a sigh, indicating the pictures he just took.

“Well, I hope you got my good side.” Buck smiled at him with a mischievous glint in his eyes and Eddie just grinned back at him.

As if you have a bad side, he thought to himself.

“Buck, come on!” This time it was Bobby who yelled over, so they both knew that they ran out of time.

“Coming!” Buck called back, still not taking his eyes off of Eddie. “Take care, Diaz.” He added gently before he finally turned around and jogged away, leaving Eddie standing in the middle of the road, watching as the engine and the ambulance pulled away.

“Yeah, you too, Buckley.” He mumbled to no one in particular.

Black Clover ch339

To be fair, did anyone ever ask Yami about his family? I don’t think he would’ve casually mentioned them in conversation on his own without a reason.

I can understand the people being cautious about Asta’s arm, but questioning his hair too? I know this land is based off Japan so colored hair is sorta frowned upon (or at least it used to be) so is ash blond/gray really that uncommon here? Imagine if some of the other Bulls came to visit somehow with their pink, blue, red & slightly green hair. All that aside, we learn a bit later the commotion surrounding Asta’s presence is mainly due to the people believing foreigners “cause disaster,” so thankfully Ryu grabs our protag and makes a swift exit to ease everyone’s suspicions.

I’m not too surprised to see that this new dude uses some kind of water sorcery for recovery yojutsu, considering we’ve seen a handful of mages like Owen with his jellyfish, Kahono and Paplo (that one Silver Eagle servant) use bubbles to some degree, and Lolopechka with just water to heal others. Still very thankful he managed to help out Liebe though.

Asta is too adorable. I dunno if Liebe’s shy to admit his mutual feelings or if he’s just real caught off guard from Asta’s reaction to stutter like that, but either way they’re both too precious. They even have matching scars now.

It’s so rare to see Asta scared/worried like this to the point where he starts to doubt himself. He didn’t even feel this way after Vetto cursed/broke his arms; he bounced right back with his usual optimism. Could be because he doesn’t have his reliable support group of the Black Bulls to back him up or he feels solely responsible for not helping someone as important to him as Lily, or a combo of both, but our poor boy needs a hug.

I dunno if the guys are reacting this way because of Ichika slapping Asta, how straightforward she’s being, or that she’s speaking at all, but I love them. It’s like a mix between shock, fear and relief? Maybe they could be proud? I dunno.

We eventually get this little lesson about ki and a quick demonstration from Ichika of using said ki and yoryoku together as a means of attack, something Asta had never even thought of doing, thus proving once again how she is quite the force to be reckoned with.

Ah, these boys and their mumbles.. they’re about to have big brain moments.

So despite our new medical friend (whose name I’m not gonna remember) saying that splitting bamboo like this takes years for even really skilled yojutsu users to pull off, our boy manages on his first try, with the addition to making it wither due to his anti-magic. If he managed to such a feat like this so naturally, then I’m very excited to see what else he’s able to learn within the next few days.

Fire Emblem?

Blorbo: If you want me to stick to Awakening, since that's where Robin's from, then that'd be Lucina! I love her. My daughter <3 (because I married Chrom lmao). I made her absolutely busted in FE Heroes too, though I haven't actually played that in a while.

Though technically Lucina's my second favourite Fire Emblem character overall. First place actually goes to Edelgard! That's My Wife right there. My beloved. I like the other house leaders too, but,,, El <3

...But once again, as much as I love these girls, sadly I don't think I could write them well. But maybe. They're on the list of characters I would consider adding if I ever added another Fire Emblem muse here, just because I love them, but I'd definitely have to replay their respective games first.

Skrunkly: Uhhhhh. So the funny thing is, I usually really like the characters that tend to be described as "pure" or "cinnamon rolls", and just overall those who would fit into this category well, but for some reason with Fire Emblem, I just don't get as attached to them? So I dunno who I'd say for Awakening specifically, but at least for Three Houses I do like Ashe?

Scrimblo Bimblo: Could Henry count as underrated? Probably not, huh. I think he's pretty popular. But I do like him a lot! My funny murder crow guy. And Owain... Probably also doesn't count here, huh. Not sure how popular he is among the fandom, but like. With his appearances in Fates and Warriors, the games themselves sure give him a lot of love.
