there is a person standing 73 yards some distance away, watching you. they look like they’re trying to tell you something. you can’t get away from them, nor can you get close to them. they’re just...standing there.
so your friends and loved ones try to help you by talking to them, and the person must be saying something to them, because they look at you differently now. but you have no idea what it was, all you hear is static.
you try to tell them not to listen to the person, but no matter what you do, no matter how much you plead with them, they look up at you with suspicion-hatred-fear and just run. they don’t care where they’re going, just that you’re not there. and you can’t do anything to stop it.
the more that the people in your life care about you, the worse it is, because anyone who tries to help is turned against you. so you are just gradually shut out of your own life by the people you love the most, until eventually you no longer recognize your surroundings.

I've got a good feeling about Toey. He's a wacky boy. It's like he feels no stress in his life. It seems there's something within him that makes me feel good when he's around. It's like I'm sitting in a vast grassy field with a gentle breeze under a bright sky. It's like I'm watching a masterpiece of art.

WE ARE (2024)
If i had a nickel for every time a Whoniverse charecter lived through an alternate timeline because of a stupid choice, and then the older version of them fixes that timeline, thus erasing it to begin with, i would have 2 nickels, which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice right?
Edit: Mb gang, at least 4 nickels, I forgor Amy and Donna somehow 🥲
We're halfway through the new series of Doctor Who, and I'm really unsure of how I feel about it all.
Do I think Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson are brilliant? Absolutely.
But the actual stories?
I have so many mixed feelings. I just feel it tries too hard, and it doesn't reach it's full potential and I just have a lot of mixed feelings about the series and the 60th as a whole with the more I think about it.
so, we know the locals in the pub were just messing with ruby, but that old woman in the hat really pulled out some folk horror dialogue on the fly. "mad jack is unbound"? who just says that with no planning? she must have seen a lot of horror films.

Ok but if Ruby breaking the fairy circle gave her a hell of her own making filled with her worst fears, maybe the same thing happened to the Doctor. That's why he disappeared.
His worst fear would be to leave Ruby (and by extension, Earth) to fend for herself. Not being there to save the day, that's his worst fear.
