Apparently there's currently discussion in science (humanities in particular) about whether video essays could be accepted as academic writing on par with the academic papers we currently have
I think that's awesome as fuck tbh

My philosophy is that there is always something you can compliment about a piece of artwork, be it the colors, the line work, the composition, the expressions, the details, the textures, the energy etc etc etc. Even if your first impression is less positive, you can find something. And it is so important to support and encourage artists. There is nothing I love more than looking at artwork and complimenting it

You know what, alt Callie? I think you're immature. We already know that you and lord English both won by killing the other before they could predominate, and then you never grew up.
Then the second you find him? You're right back here, fighting to kill him again, because it's the only thing you ever figured out how to do.
...
you really think you did something? you think you know me so well? have fun when this place becomes charred and the only survivor is my pathetic brother's pathetic pet. I am the only one here who has lived time immemorial without being frozen in time like he has. this timeline's john may be god tier, but i am the closest this planet has to a god.
the muse of discovery shall be known and loved, her stories passed down for ages under her watchful eye. there is no way a primitive world such as this will survive without my assistance. have you seen my brother? have you seen alternia?
it is one of the bard's miracles that you have survived this long. no wonder you depend on each other so much. but be not afraid. i am here to protect you, even as you reject me.

Manifesto on the subject of heroes, villains and the burden of being extraordinary
I used to be power hungry af until I realized that being the chosen one would mean shouldering the weight of everyone's hopes and dreams.
The worst part about having to dethrone a tyrant /vanquish a monster/ defend a community etc. is not the part when you go into battle, whether it be physical, verbal or spiritual. It's the knowledge of what'll happen to those who believed in you if you fail.
I've always been a fan of villains (at least in fiction) and tended to see the heroes as one-dimensional and often dim narcissists with a savior complex, or idealistic damsels in distress that somehow solve every challenge with "the power of friendship". But recently I feel like I'm just consuming the wrong type of media if I'm always siding with the opposition.
And it's not like I'm completely selfish and incapable of goodness either, my standard of who is worthy of my protection is just higher. I'll never find it relatable to sacrifice for a complete stranger, a mere acquaintance, a nation I just happened to be born in, or a family member I don't like. But swap that stranger out for a romantic partner or a demon (although me being a Satanist has nothing to do with this), and suddenly there is this immense pressure to perform. As wise people once said, blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb, and that which is lighty given is lightly valued.
Due to said pressure it stands to reason that being the main character would fricking suck. Like, if I was chosen for a glorious purpose that would save or enlighten those dear to me, naturally I would do my duty. But there is no amount of power, wealth and honor that would equalize the burden of holding everyone's destiny in one's hands. Indeed, some will even crumble under that pressure and become deserters/traitors (example Marcus Brutus) or a cautionary tale (example Aeneas). Others, still, will fail despite staying on track, and have their memory sullied by the victor's subjective interpretation (example Galileo Galilei).
On the topic of villainy, it's not true that all heroes are altruistic and all villains are selfish. A hero can just as well embark on a mission in order to protect their future self instead of another person (duh, the dragon will eventually eat you too), and that's completely valid. Inversely, the greatest atrocities are often done on someone else's behalf. The path to greatness, especially if ethical, is paved with thorns. It's way easier to find a village to torch than find a half-frozen person to thaw. Choosing not to wreak havoc when you're in a position to do so is a much more thankless decision than choosing to help when you can, but it's an equally valuable one. Being a warrior means striving for peace, even if said peace will rob you of purpose.
In conclusion, there is nothing wrong with being part of the silent majority that will never call the shots. It's even an enviable position to be in, considering the alternatives are being a nervous wreck or an as*hole.

I'm getting depressingly good at identifying the formula for Pop Academic Books About ADHD.
Regardless of their philosophy it pretty much goes like this:
1. Emotionally sensitive essay about the struggle of ADHD and the author's personal experience with it as both a person with ADHD and a healthcare professional.
2. Either during or directly following this, a lightly explicated catalogue of symptoms, illustrated by anecdotes from patient case studies. Optional: frequent, heavy use of metaphor to explain ADHD-driven behavior.
3. Several chapters follow, each dedicated to a symptom; these have a mini-formula of their own. They open with a patient case study, discuss the highly relatable aspects of the specific symptom or behavior, then offer some lightweight examples of a treatment for the symptom, usually accompanied by follow up results from the earlier case studies.
4. Somewhere around halfway-to-two-thirds through the book, the author introduces the more in-depth explication of the treatment system (often their own homebrew) they are advocating. These are generally both personally-driven (as opposed to suggested cultural changes, which makes sense given these books' target audience, more on this later) and composed of an elaborate system of either behavior alteration or mental reframing. Whether this system is actually implementable by the average reader varies wildly.
5. A brief optional section on how to make use of ADHD as a tool (usually referring to ADHD or some of its symptoms as a superpower at least once). Sometimes this section restates the importance of using the systems from part 4 to harness that superpower. Frequently, if present, it feels like an afterthought.
6. Summation and list of further resources, often including other books which follow this formula.
I know I'm being a little sarcastic, but realistically there's nothing inherently wrong about the formula, like in itself it's not a red flag. It's just hilariously recognizable once you've noticed it.
It makes sense that these books advocate for the Reader With ADHD undertaking personal responsibility for their treatment, since these are in the tradition of self-help publishing. They're aimed at people who are already interested in doing their own research on their disability and possible ways to handle it. It's not really fair to ask them to be policy manuals, but I do find it interesting that even books which advocate stuff like volunteering (for whatever reason, usually to do with socialization issues and isolation, often DBT-adjacent) never suggest disability activism either generally or with an ADHD-specific bent.
None of these books suggest that perhaps life with ADHD could be made easier with increased accommodations or ease of medication access, and that it might be in a person's best interest to engage in political advocacy surrounding these and other disability-related issues. Or that activism related to ADHD might help to give someone with ADHD a stronger sense of ownership of their unique neurology. Or that if you have ADHD the idea of activism or even medical self-advocacy is crushingly stressful, and ways that stress might be dealt with.
It does make me want to write one of my own. "The Deviant Chaos Guide To Being A Miscreant With ADHD". Includes chapters on how to get an actual accurate assessment, tips for managing a prescription for a controlled substance, medical and psychiatric self-advocacy for people who are conditioned against confrontation, When To Lie About Being Neurodivergent, policy suggestions for ADHD-related legislation, tips for activism while executively dysfunked, and to close the book a biting satire of the pop media idea of self-care. ("Feeling sad? Make yourself a nice pot of chicken soup from scratch and you'll feel better in no time. Stay tuned after this rambling personal essay for the most mediocre chicken soup recipe you've ever seen!" "Have you considered planning and executing an overly elaborate criminal heist as a way to meet people and stay busy?")
Every case study or personal anecdote in the book will have a different name and demographics attached but will also make it obvious that they are all really just me, in the prose equivalent of a cheap wig, writing about my life. "Kelly, age seven, says she struggles to stay organized using the systems neurotypical children might find easy. I had to design my own accounting spreadsheet in order to make sure I always have enough in checking to cover the mortgage, she told me, fidgeting with the pop socket on her smartphone."
I feel a little bad making fun, because these books are often the best resource people can get (in itself concerning). It's like how despite my dislike of AA, I don't dunk on it in public because I don't want to offer people an excuse not to seek help. It feels like punching down to criticize these books, even though it's a swing at an industry that is mainly, it seems, here to profit from me. But one does get tired of skimming the hype for the real content only to find the real content isn't that useful either.
Les (not his real name) was diagnosed at the age of 236. Charming, well-read, and wealthy, he still spent much of his afterlife feeling deeply inadequate about his perceived shortcomings. "Vampire culture doesn't really acknowledge ADHD as a condition," he says. "My sire wouldn't understand, even though he probably has it as well. You should see the number of coffins containing the soil of his homeland that he's left lying forgotten all over Europe." A late diagnosis validated his feelings of difference, but on its own can't help when he hyperfocuses on seducing mortals who cross his path and forgets to get home before sunrise. "I have stock in sunburn gel companies," he jokes.

Placements That Could Indicate Being a Great Author
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mercury Dominance
Mercury rules writing, the mind, communication, and storytelling. So you may automatically have a strong writing ability if you have a lot of Mercury-ruled placements (Gemini, Virgo) or Mercury aspects. Mercury in Gemini can give you quick thinking and strong writing abilities that's especially great for conversational or journalistic writing. Mercury in Virgo can give you a great ability to edit writing and write precisely. Having Mercury in the 3rd represents short-form content, daily writing, and journalism, while having it in the 9th represents publishing books, essays, or novels.
Mercury-Neptune aspects give you poetic, imaginative, and symbolic writing. You could write more fiction, fantasy, sci-fi, or spiritual writing. Mercury-Pluto aspects can give you the ability to write about darker and complex topics. You could write more thrillers, mystery, horror, or be an investigative journalist.
3rd, 5th, or 9th House Emphasis
The 3rd house is the house of communication, language, writing, speaking, and stories. Having multiple planets here can indicate writing and communicating being a big influence on your life. The 5th house is the house is creativity and self-expression. Having planets here can give you the talents of writing poetry, screenwriting, fiction, or children's literature. The 9th house is the house of higher education, publishing, philosophy, and truth-seeking. Having planets here could indicate writing nonfiction books or spiritual and philosophical essays.
Neptune Influence
Having strong Neptunian energy in your chart can bring a vivid imagination. It can bring you a lot of creativity and ideas for any type of book you're gonna write. Neptune in aspect to Mercury or the Moon adds emotional and symbolic power to your writing. It helps you channel stories and write story ideas that just come to you easily. Neptune in the 9th or 12th house suggests being a spiritual author or writing from your dreams or intuition.
Pluto Aspects
Having a good amount of Pluto aspects in your chart can intensify your writing. Moon-Pluto aspects can give you emotional courage. You might write based off of personal wounds, or write about lesser known topics with great empathy. Venus-Pluto aspects are perfect for dark fantasy and dark romance novels. You could be great at writing about complex and obsessive relationships, and stories with revenge plots. Stories about female rage and self-worth can also easily be written.
Uranus-Pluto aspects are great for dystopian fiction, activism-driven essays and stories, and experimental writing. Stories that evolve around freedom, control, trauma, and change are common with this aspect. You could also be interested in writing science fiction or futuristic stories.
Saturn Influence
People always talk about how Saturn is a difficult planet, but let's not forget how rewarding it is. It can bring stability through hard work, discipline, and major blessings (a bit more than Jupiter in my opinion and experience). Having Saturn in the 3rd, 9th, or 10th house can indicate being a serious writer that develops your voice and writing style over time. You could face early setbacks in writing and communicating, but you can gain recognition through perseverance. You could become a published author that's respected for your knowledge. Saturn-Mercury aspects could indicate being a slow but powerful thinker. You may be methodical and careful with your words. You may prefer refined and minimalist writing. You could struggle with self doubt early on, but become a true master of form and clarity.
Personal Planets in Air Signs
Having Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius as your Sun, Moon, Rising, Mercury, Venus, or Mars can help you excel in mental stimulation, research, and communication. Gemini helps you become versatile, a great multitasker, quick thinking, and natural writing abilities that are perfect for any type of writing. Libra helps you be polished, poetic, refined, and write with a great tone and pace. Aquarius helps you with unique story ideas, be innovative, idealistic, visionary, truthful, and write more about topics that can benefit entire communities and groups of people.
Jupiter in 3rd or 9th House
With Jupiter in the 3rd or 9th house, you could have a passion for sharing ideas, knowledge, and stories with the world. You could write large books or create a series of books and novels. It may be easier for you to get published, gain an audience, and attract mentors and people to work with.

When Fantasy Becomes Reality
Tumblr media
Summary: You're stuck in a stupidly tedious class during your final semester. The upside? The TAs are incredibly attractive. What happens when they catch you writing something very interesting during one of their tutoring sessions?
Warnings: SMUT!!!!!!!!! Reader gets manhandled, size difference, humiliation kink if you squint, fingering, oral (f rec), slight dumbification, dom!YunGi, sub!reader, one (1) spank to the thigh, praise/degredation
Pairing: Yunho x Reader x Mingi
Collab with @mingkismain ! Read her part here (it's a direct sequel)
Tumblr media
Your final semester was supposed to be as laid-back as possible. You chose classes that you’d be able to ace with minimal effort. All of your core classes were finished at this point, so you had a bunch of free electives to fill up your last credits. For the most part, you succeeded. You could pass three out of your four classes in your sleep. That fourth class, however, proved to be much more tedious than you anticipated. Your friend insisted you take ‘Philosophy of Science Fiction’ with her. You only agreed because you figured the lectures would consist of watching sci-fi movies or reading sci-fi novels.
You were so incredibly wrong. Well, you were right about the lectures including sci-fi movies, tv shows, and novels. The numerous essays about said media were what killed you. In the 15 weeks of the semester, you had written eight essays. EIGHT. It was fun for the first two or three, but now it was just exhausting. There was only one perk to the course: the two very handsome TAs.
Staring at Jeong Yunho and Song Mingi quickly became your number one pastime during lectures. You often attended their tutoring sessions even with your grades being near the top of the class. Which is what you were doing right now, in fact. They were holding an all-day tutoring session to help your class work on your final essays. You finished your paper on Iron Widow hours ago, but you stayed in the reserved study room and acted like you were adding your final touches. It wasn’t a total lie. You were writing, but it definitely wasn’t classroom appropriate. You were engrossed in perfecting the filthy words on your google doc. So engrossed, that you failed to notice Yunho looking over your shoulder.
“Oh, shit.” You jumped at how close his voice was, whirling around to gape at him. The study room was empty except for you and the two TAs.
“Yunho, it’s not what it looks like, I swear.” He smirked at the flush rising on your cheeks. Before you could attempt to defend yourself further, Yunho snatched your laptop from in front of you. He easily evaded you as you chased him around the table. “Give it back!”
“Mingi, give me a hand.” The other TA snaked his arms around your middle and lifted you off the ground. The height difference left your feet dangling by a few inches.
“Put me down, please! It’s not a big deal,” you pleaded, smacking his forearm repeatedly. You felt his chest vibrate when he laughed.
“Doesn’t seem like it from how hard you’re trying to get your laptop back,” Mingi teased while Yunho scrolled through your story. You wiggled to try and loosen Mingi’s grip on you, but he was definitely stronger.
“Damn, Y/N. You’re into this?” Yunho’s heated gaze fell back on you. He clicked his tongue with a shake of his head. “Dirty girl.” You froze, digging your nails into Mingi’s arm subconsciously.
“Dude, are you going to tell me what she’s been writing or not? I think I've waited long enough.” Shit, what did that mean? You narrowed your eyes at your laptop, willing it to explode on the spot. No such explosions occurred, to your horror.
“Elena rolls her hips against Luca’s thigh, desperate for relief after his relentless teasing. He splays a hand across her lower belly to keep her from moving. ‘Patience, sweetheart. Be good for me or I won’t let you cum at all tonight.’ Elena pouts up at her lover, tears welling–”
“Yunho! Shut up, please, shut the fuck up!” You hid your face in your hands. You yelped when Mingi swatted your thigh.
“It’s rude to interrupt someone when they’re speaking,” you shivered at his breath fanning across your neck as he scolded you. “Keep going, Yunho.”
“Oh, this is a good line: Elena’s thighs tremble against Luca’s hold. She whimpers and tries to push him away, but he uses the hand not inside her to pin her arm to her side. ‘You wanted to cum, love. So now you’re going to cum as many times as I see fit.’ Elena whines as he licks another thick stripe over her clit,” Yunho paused to share a look with Mingi. His eyes looked darker than normal.
“Is that what you want, pretty girl? You want to be pinned down and forced to cum over and over again?” Mingi’s voice was low next to your ear. You swallowed down the whimper that nearly escaped your throat.
“Looks like it. Her character came three times on the dude’s mouth and fingers, then two more times on his cock,” Yunho confirmed in your silence. He skimmed through the next few paragraphs, grinning wickedly.
“Any more interesting scenes?” You truly wished the ground would open up and swallow you whole. You were beyond mortified, especially since they seemed to relish in your humiliation.
“Mmm, a couple lines here and there,” Yunho glanced up at you, tongue poking against his cheek. “She really likes to mix praise and degradation.” He set your laptop on the table, stalking forward to invade your space. You refused to look him in the eye.
“Does she?” The hand not supporting your weight gripped your jaw, forcing you to look at Yunho.
“Some of her most used lines to use are full of it.” Yunho ran his hand up the back of your neck to grip your hair. You couldn’t contain your soft moan this time. “You taste so fucking good, sweetheart. You look so pretty taking my cock. Look at you, such a good little slut for me.”
“I’m- I don’t…” You stumbled over your words, panting from their body heat pressing into you. “Please…”
“Please what, baby?” Yunho teased with an edge of condescension to his voice. His hand trailed up your thigh, fingers brushing under the hem of your skirt.
“Do you want us to stop?” Mingi’s hand released your jaw, only to rest on your neck. “Or do you want us to do all those filthy things to you?” A strangled sound at the back of your throat morphed into a gasp.
“We need an answer. A verbal yes or no, otherwise you’ll get nothing,” Yunho drawled, dragging his hand further up your skirt and pulling your leg to hook over his hip.
“Fuck,” you cursed under your breath. You took a shuddering breath, goosebumps rising under his touch. “I- I want it.”
“Not good enough. What do you want, sweetheart?” Mingi insisted, hand slightly tightening on your neck.
“I want you to do the things I wrote about. God, please do something,” you whined loudly, thankful for the sound dampeners lining the study room walls. Yunho stepped back so Mingi could sit, keeping your back pressed to his chest and holding your legs open over his knees. You’d imagined having Yunho between your thighs, but fuck the real thing was so much better. He shoved your skirt up to bunch around your hips.
“Shit, you’re already so wet and we haven’t even touched you yet,” Yunho smirked and pushed your thighs further apart. “Feel her, Mingi.” The man behind you dropped a hand down to stroke over the wet patch on your panties. Your hips jolted forward as he pressed down on your clit.
“Damn,” Mingi sucked a breath in through his teeth. He lightened the pressure from his fingers, tracing soft circles that offered little relief.
“Y/N, do you know the traffic light system?” Yunho tapped your knee to grab your attention. You nodded, head feeling fuzzy from their teasing. “Tell me.”
“U-um, green means I’m good, an-and to keep going. Yellow, fuck, yellow means slow down or change something. Red is a hard stop,” you stuttered, interrupting yourself with airy whines.
“Good. Once we start, Mingi and I won’t stop until we think you’ve had enough. ‘No’ and ‘stop’ mean nothing, the only word that matters is ‘red’.” Yunho pulled roughly on your skirt, pulling you closer to him. Mingi lifted your hips so Yunho could drag your panties down your legs. You barely registered him pocketing them. He littered your thighs with open-mouthed kisses, avoiding where you really wanted him. Your hips bucked forward to try to get him to go faster.
“Sit still,” Mingi ordered. You yelped at the warning bite left on your inner thigh. You squirmed again, pulling an irritated huff from Mingi. He pinned your hips against his with one arm. You gasped at the feeling of his half-hard cock against your ass.
“What do you think she should get, Mingi?” Yunho didn’t wait for an answer to finally run his tongue over your clit. Your hand shot down to his hair, winding your fingers in the soft strands.
“She’ll take exactly what she wrote, and more.” The hand not holding you still moved under your shirt to cup your tit over your bra. You couldn’t even comprehend what he meant, too lost in the shockwaves of pleasure Yunho’s mouth sent through your core. You cried out when he thrust two fingers into your dripping cunt. You dropped your head onto Mingi’s shoulder, giving him access to suck dark hickeys on your neck and collarbones.
“Fuck, fuck, Yunho please,” you panted heavily, pushing against the arm holding you in place.
“You close already, sweetheart?” Yunho’s voice sent vibrations across your sensitive clit.
“Yes! Please, can I cum?” You whimpered when his fingers curled to drag over the spongy spot you couldn’t reach with your own.
“Ooh, asking permission?” Mingi smirked against your neck. “Good girl, cum for us.” Another harsh suck sent you over the edge, eyes rolling to the back of your head. You clapped a hand over your mouth to muffle your scream. Yunho slowed his fingers, but didn’t stop licking your clit until your thighs trembled. He pulled back, mouth and chin shining with your release.
“It sounded cheesy before, but fuck, you really do taste so fucking good,” he repeated the words you had written just before your laptop was taken. “Look at you, already fucked out before we’ve even fucked you.” He stopped thrusting his fingers, keeping them buried in you to continue curling against your g-spot. You clenched when Mingi circled your clit once before continuing down to prod at your entrance. Your back arched as two of his fingers pushed into you, right next to Yunho’s.
“God, you’re tight. Can’t wait to fuck your pretty pussy,” Mingi groaned, unable to tear his eyes away from where their fingers disappeared in you. The stretch and Mingi’s palm brushing your clit had another orgasm quickly building.
“Who would have guessed? Ms top-of-the-class is secretly a kinky little slut,” Yunho mocked, grinning when your walls clamped down on them. He sat up higher on his knees to leave his own marks on your neck. He bit into the juncture of your neck and shoulder, pulling a pathetic squeak from your throat.
“C-cumming!” Was the only warning they got before you arched in another orgasm, inadvertently grinding down on Mingi’s hard-on. Your skin buzzed and you struggled to catch your breath. They continued to finger-fuck you through your high.
“Too much, too much, please,” you whined, weakly pushing at their wrists. Yunho’s free hand grabbed your jaw to force eye contact.
“What’s your color?”
“...green,” you answered after a beat of silence.
“Thought so.” Yunho crashed his lips into yours, immediately licking into your mouth. You tasted yourself lingering on his tongue. You whimpered at the emptiness left when they removed their fingers. Yunho pulled back, still connected to you by a string of saliva. “Mingi’s turn.” Your back hit the table before you could process his words. Your legs were thrown over Mingi’s shoulders as he dove in to lap at your swollen clit.
“Fuck! I can’t- how many more?” Tears gathered on your lash line. Blinking them away, you stared as Yunho palmed himself through his jeans.
“You get stupid when you cum, don’t you? Can’t even remember the scene that you wrote.” Yunho sat in the chair you occupied moments ago. He tilted his head at you sifting through your syrupy thoughts.
“T-three on your fingers and tongues, two o-on your,” a high-pitched moan cut into your sentence. “Fuck, oh my god. Two on your cocks.” Another rush of arousal shot up your spine when you realized that both of them were going to fuck you.
“Atta girl,” the slight praise went straight to your head. Mingi stole your attention back by blowing cool air over your clit. Your hips jerked, overly sensitive from cumming twice already. He watched your face contort with pleasure, pupils blown wide. Three of his fingers pushed back into your cunt, walls fluttering around him. In the back of your mind, you realized that they were prepping you to take their cocks.
“You’re right, Yunho. She does taste good.” Mingi’s eyes flickered to his friend for a moment before returning his focus to your pussy. “She makes such pretty noises when we stuff her full of our fingers.”
“I bet she’ll sound downright sinful when she’s stuffed full of our dicks.” The way they spoke about you like you weren’t in the room made you dizzy. Your head floated in a cloudy haze. Mingi moved back to your clit, sucking hard.
“Fuck!” Your third orgasm hit like lightning, only lasting a few seconds but leaving you breathless and flushed. You nearly sobbed, pressing the heels of your hands into your eyes. You barely felt it when Mingi stood from his place between your legs. When you finally managed to open your eyes, they loomed over you, eyeing you up with a predatory glint in their eyes.
“Oh, sweetheart, we’re nowhere near done with you."

if jason was in college which classes would he take and which college course would he try out?
JASON never thought he’d set foot in a classroom again, let alone willingly. The idea of college used to feel soft. Too clean. Too far removed from alleyways and rooftop brawls, from Lazarus-fueled nightmares and the bloodstained gray of Gotham’s underbelly.
In short, he would definitely be a humanities major.
We already know he favors literature to other subjects, and college would be a chance to partake in the normal pace of life he didn’t know before.
He’d focus on works from romanticism, then to realism. The main themes would probably be gothic and dark works of fiction with a twist of realism in its core, something that can be tied back to the current social structure of our society.
Mentioning Jason’s love for literature can’t be said without mentioning Jane Austen. He loves that biting wit that Austen threads in her work—something he mirrors often.
Jason wants to understand the world and how our society works more than anything. So, philosophy, ethics and etc would definitely be a core class he’d take. He’s definitely joining discussions, arguments and debating as if his life depends on it and he never loses.
After some time, he’d get more comfortable in this setting and try his hand at creative writing. (please guys this headcanon is so important to me.) Jason is a man with a whole world inside, unable to share it. The moment he picks up a pen it’s as if he was meant to write. To speak up.
(I just love him.)
I can’t help but imagine him with a stem reader. You’re some smart, know-it-all who’s dominated every math and physics classroom and this humanities major—Jason is proofreading your essays. Sometimes, you make mistakes on purpose just to get him to lecture you. He’s kinda cute.
(Here’s a playlist I found that matches this asks energy sm.)

dire consequences
You stared blankly on your laptop screen, open to a half-written presentation on ethics – it was 2AM on a Saturday night (well, techinically Sunday morning), and you were supposed to finish it yesterday.
Your fourth cup of coffee sat cold beside your laptop and your sanity? It’s somewhere between your paper and the Netflix tab you were this close to clicking.
The only thing keeping you from full academic surrender? Your ever-present, ever-annoying boyfriend, Sukuna. Shirtless. On your bed. Sprawled out like a Renaissance painting no one asked for but somehow couldn’t look away from.
Sukuna, to put it simply, had zero interest in anything that didn’t involve him or you. So, why should he care about your ethics presentation when he was busy doomscrolling on his phone, and a glass of wine casually perched on your nightstand like it belonged there?
The cursor blinked in judgment. So did your annoyingly smug (but hot) boyfriend from across the room.
“Well?” Sukuna finally said, still cocooned in your duvet like he owned the damn thing (and honestly, considering how often he stayed over, he might as well). His phone stayed glued to his hand as he scrolled, entirely unaffected by the stress radiating off you.
“Have you decided to betray your moral compass yet and write that stupid ethics paper?” He added, voice coated in lazy amusement.
You sighed dramatically, tossing your pen aside.
“Ugh, nope. But I’m also not writing another ‘capitalism bad’ essay unless you help me.”
He didn’t even look up. Just kept scrolling and yawned. Yawned. “Boring. Can’t you write about something fun, like stealing organs for love or something?” He raised an eyebrow lazily, like he didn’t just say something totally unhinged.
You turned slowly. “I… what?”
He met your eyes, smirking the devil that he is. “C’mon babe. Picture it. Some morally gray hottie falls for a girl, needs to save her, steals a kidney from a corrupt CEO – see? Ethics paper. Sexy and topical.”
“That’s not ethics. That’s your Wattpad villain arc” you said, moving to sit beside him on the bed.
“Details,” he said with a wink.
You nudged his shoulder, “Seriously, ‘Kuna. Help. Gimme something good or I’m quoting Kant and crying about moral duty again.”
He stretched, clearly enjoying your suffering. “Kant, huh? Big fan of rules. You sure he didn’t ghost you or something?”
You deadpanned. “If he did, I’d haunt you just to get closure.”
“You already haunt me, baby. Rent-free. Right here.” He tapped his temple with mock seriousness.
You snorted, smacking him lightly with a pillow. “Okay, philosophy daddy, what would you write about?”
Sukuna looked at you, smug as ever. “Well I dunno, princess, you’ve been on your high horse so much lately, maybe I’ll write about that. Ethics and all. You’re basically the poster child for moral superiority.”
You shoved him, groaning. “Wow, you really know how to make a girl feel special.”
He didn’t even flinch, just grinned wider. “Mm. I know you love me, baby.”
“I know, I know. But for real,” you said, reaching out to poke his cheek. “Can you at least use that oversized, ancient brain of yours and tell me what would you write about?”
That got his attention. He lowered his phone and gave you a slow once-over. “Ancient, huh? I’m not even that old.”
You rolled your eyes, “You talk like you watched Rome burn.”
He propped himself up on his elbows, voice dropping an octave, amused, a little flirty, “And you, babe, would’ve looked really good in a toga. Just sayin’.”
“You’re insufferable.”
“And you’re totally in love with me.”
You smacked him with a pillow. He caught it mid-air, completely unfazed, and leaned back into your side with a lazy grin.
“Seriously though,” he said, eyes glinting with amusement, “I’d write Jurassic Park.”
You blinked, clearly not expecting that. “You’re joking.”
“Absolutely not. It’s got everything: cloning, capitalism, science going too far. It’s basically the holy grail of ethical dilemmas, sweetheart.”
You gave him a look. “That’s out comfort movie. I don’t wanna dissect it for school.”
He raised an eyebrow, too pleased with himself. “But it’s perfect. Chaos theory. Life finds a way. What more do you need?”
“Ugh, I can’t believe you. I’m not quoting Jeff Goldblum,” you said flatly, crossing your arms. “I will not lower myself to that level.”
“You want to quote him, brat.” He said smugly. “That man is a walking ethical dilemma. I’d tattoo ‘life finds a way’ on my ass.”
“Oh my god, please don’t. My professor doesn’t need to mentally see your butt during my presentation.”
“Correction: everyone benefits from seeing my ass. Including academia.”
You hurled another pillow. He dodged.
But… you had to admit it. Jurassic Park really did tick all the boxes. Cloning? Check. Genetic engineering? Check. Corporate irresponsibility? Check. Hell, you could probably write a thesis on it.
Sukuna, of course, wasn’t done. He grinned, smug as ever, clearly savoring the moment, and resumed doomscrolling.
“Suit yourself, brat. You’re missing out. I’d kill to see you drop some chaotic Goldblum wisdom in front of your professor. And I know you love it.”
“I don’t,” you groaned, picking at your nails to avoid the inevitable. “I do not love Jeff Goldblum's chaos theory.”
And just as you were about to dive back into your misery of actually attempting to brainstorm, it happened.
Sukuna suddenly gasped – loudly. Dramatically. Like he’d just seen something tragic or a traumatic spoiler.
“HOLY FUCK, babe! This is it!”
You jumped, “What?! What now? Is this another one of Reddit rabbit holes?!”
Sukuna sat up, eyes sparkling with mischief, “Winter is coming.”
You blinked, processing the sudden shift in the conversation. “What the hell are you talking about?”
He shoved his phone in your face, “LOOK, baby. They brought back dire wolves. Real ones.”
“Huh?”
“De-extinction!” he said, eyes wide with excitement, “They’re using ancient DNA. Real Ice Age shit. Game of Thrones, but science-y crap shit.”
You stared at him. Then the article. Then back at him.
“This is either revolutionary or literally Jurassic Park 2.0.”
“Exactly,” he nodded, looking way too pleased with himself. “It’s happening in real life. Ethics paper and nerdy hot boyfriend material? You’re welcome.”
Your blinked, still processing. “This is... that’s insane! Where’d you find this article?”
“Reddit,” he replied, so serious it almost made you laugh. “And it’s real as my huge cock, baby.”
You groaned. “Oh my god. Stop.”
“This is science, baby. The future’s coming, and it’s bringing dire wolves with it.”
You stared at him, blinking, before letting out a laugh. “You’re such a nerd.”
“And you love me.”
You ignored him, eyes scanning the article now. “Wait, this could actually work. The ethics of de-extinction. Playing god, animal rights, ecological balance…”
He leaned in, smirking, voice low and smug. “Told ya. I’m full of good ideas and bad intentions.”
You raised a brow. “You’re also full of bullshit.”
“Hot, charming bullshit.”
You sighed, flopping dramatically onto the bed, pillow over your face. “But, if this is so real… it’s so… what’s the word? Ridiculous. Unethical. Insane.”
He raised a brow. “You say insane. I say bold. Imagine it, a species that’s been extinct for 10,000 years, running free again. Moral questions, consequences, potential for mischief –”
He practically purred the last word, his cocky smile creeping into his voice.
You peeked out from under the pillow, scowling, “You seriously think that’s okay? Just bringing back an extinct species like it’s no big deal?”
“Why not?” He shrugged. “Humans have always played god. It’s kinda our thing.”
You narrowed your eyes. “But who gets to decide that? What if it screws up the environment? We don’t know how they’ll interact with modern ecosystems.”
He raised a finger, like he was making a grand philosophical point. “Exactly. That’s the debate. We don’t know. That uncertainty? That’s what makes it ethics gold. Do we follow nature’s rules... or rewrite them?”
You let out a long breath.
“You’re the worst. You’re literally the devil’s advocate.”
“Well, someone has to be,” he said, winking at you. “And you love it.”
You groaned. “You’re lucky you're hot.”
He kissed your forehead, obnoxiously proud. “And you're lucky I’m brilliant.”
“Debatable,” you mumbled, walking back to your desk and opening your laptop.
“I heard that,” he called, already back in your bed fort of pillows and stolen blankets.
“And I still expect a ‘thank you’ in the acknowledgments.”
“Only if I win a Nobel Prize for not killing you first.”
“Hot.”
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––
a/n: i'm finally back, gosh, my thesis is holding me back from writing sukuna fics again – and the time i was back, the dire wolves de-extinction articles are the first to welcome me haskdfdjafaud

luigi supporting you making content on tiktok hc 💌:
shoutout to the anon who got my vision, this one’s for you! <33 as you can probably tell, i went HAM on this one 😭
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
- luigi hates tiktok. he finds it overwhelming, chaotic, and way too fast-paced for his taste. he’s more of a ‘read a book in silence’ kind of guy, so the idea of endless scrolling and loud trends just doesn’t appeal to him.
- that said, when you tell him you’ve started a tiktok account to talk about your favorite things—books, philosophy, movies, debates on different topics, and even your hot takes on agriculture and politics? he’s immediately intrigued.
- he loves how passionate and articulate you are, and he can’t help but admire the way your mind works.
- despite his dislike for the app, he downloads it just to follow you. he tells himself it’s to “support you,” but deep down, he’s genuinely curious about what you’ll share.
- your videos are nothing like the content he expected. you’re not doing dances or trends, you’re just yapping lol. you talk about your favorite substack articles, analyze the themes of your latest read, rant about why tea is superior to coffee (or vice versa), and even dive into deep topics like religion and politics. safe to say, luigi is hooked.
- he becomes your biggest hype man. every time you post he’s there in the comments, leaving thoughtful responses. if you talk about a book he’s read, he’ll add his own analysis. if you delve into a philosophical concept, he’ll write paragraphs agreeing with you or gently challenging your perspective. his comments are often longer than your videos, and it becomes a running joke between the two of you.
- sometimes, you catch him in the background of your vlogs, quietly sipping tea or reading a book. he’s always smiling softly as you rant about whatever’s on your mind, completely enamored by your passion and intellect.
- one day, while filming a tiktok about your favorite philosophy book, lu chimes in from the background. you’re mid-sentence, explaining why you love the author’s take on existentialism, when he casually interjects:
“but don’t you think their view on free will is a little too optimistic?”
you pause, turn to him, and immediately launch into a spirited debate. the camera keeps rolling, and your followers lose it over the unexpected cameo.
- after that, it becomes a recurring thing. your followers start noticing that the same soft-spoken voice in the background that’s always adding thoughtful commentary or playfully challenging your takes, is the same person leaving those long comments under every video.
- comments start flooding in like:
“wait, is the guy in the background the same guy who writes essays in the comments???”
“luigi_from_fiji in the comments vs. luigi in the background is the best character arc of 2024.”
“the way he just casually drops the most profound takes while she’s filming… i can’t. they’re adorable.”
- one of your most popular tiktoks is a video where you’re talking about your favorite coffee shops, and ofc luigi interjects in the background:
“but tea is clearly superior. it’s more versatile, and you can’t deny the cultural history behind it.”
you stop mid-sentence, turn to him, and say, “oh, we’re doing this again?” before launching into a full-blown debate about coffee vs. tea. the video ends with both of you laughing, and your followers absolutely melt.
- one day, you decide to make a video about one of your favorite authors, fyodor dostoyevsky (self indulgent sorry). you’re gushing about how crime and punishment explores the psychology of guilt and redemption but halfway through your analysis, lu, who’s been quietly listening in the background, can’t help but chime in:
“but baby don’t you think raskolnikov’s redemption arc feels a little rushed? i mean, after everything he did, the ending almost feels… too neat.”
you turn to him, eyes lighting up, and say, “okay, first of all nicholas, how dare you,” before diving into a passionate defense of dostoyevsky’s writing. the two of you end up in a full-blown literary debate, with lu arguing that notes from underground is the better psychological study, while you insist that crime and punishment is the masterpiece.
- your followers go wild for the video with comments pouring in like: “luigi coming in with the hot takes on dostoyevsky?? i’m obsessed.”
“the way she said ‘how dare you’ and then immediately launched into a 10-minute rant… mood.”
“luigi’s face when she starts defending raskolnikov is priceless. he’s so whipped.”
- another time, you’re talking about white nights and how the dreamer’s idealism and loneliness resonate with you. lu, who’s been quietly reading in the corner, looks up and says softly:
“i think the dreamer’s problem is that he’s too afraid to live in the real world. he’d rather stay in his fantasies than risk getting hurt.”
you’d pause, tilt your head, and reply, “but isn’t that what makes him so human? he’s flawed, but he’s real.”
- lu smiles at you, his eyes soft, and says, “i guess i can’t argue with that.”
-the moment is so tender that your followers immediately start spamming the comments with:
“THE WAY HE LOOKS AT HER??? I’M CRYING.”
“luigi’s a simp for intellectual debates and i’m here for it.”
“this is the most romantic thing i’ve ever seen.”
- luigi secretly starts to enjoy tiktok but only because of you. he’d do anything to support you, even if it means spending hours on an app he claims to dislike.

1 . wake up at 5:20 am and stretch
2 . skincare and read 5 pages of my book
3 . morning journal and a duolingo session
4 . day planning
and others like eating vegetables , stay away from soda drinks and have a creative session evey 10 days and drink more water I need to work on them more
this make it 11 habits ! for this year.
📮 : fact box :
『 I was listing to an episode of huberman lab it talked about how when you're feeling lazy stuck or procrastinating the way to snap out of it isn't by doing something easy but actually by challenging yourself to do something harder than the task you're avoiding It might sound counterintuitive but this approach is rooted in the way dopamine works in our brains. you might procrastinate writing an essay and end up cleaning your room instead—something you’d usually avoid Cleaning feels easier than the thing you're avoiding so you do it Now imagine this instead of cleaning u do something even more challenging. Suddenly ur brain shifts gears, and you find it easier to return to the original task. Why? Because dopamine levels rise, and once that happens, you operate at a completely different energy level. It’s not just psychology—it’s biology at play. This little shift in mindset can completely change how u approach procrastination and productivity 』

I'm reading Life in Code by Ellen Ullman, writings on tech and philosophy.
I love the chapter "Is Sadie the Cat a Trick?", where Ullman talks of the 19 years she had with her cat Sadie, and - while reflecting on Artificially Intelligence - wonders whether the relationship between them was an illusion.
Was Sadie merely behaving according to her "programming"? Was Ullman merely imagining sentience?
Ullman considers various aspects of her relationship with Sadie. First, companionship. Second, familiarity:
[H]er coming to meet me at the door (even when her bowl was full, so it was not in the hope of getting dinner). There was mutual recognition of ritual: I knew the time of day when she moved to her favourite chair to take the sun, so I anticipated it and raised the shade. She knew I wrote in the morning, and, before I got to the desk, she was lying on her pillow by the heater, which had not yet been turned on. If it were just warmth she'd wanted, she could have stayed in bed with Elliot, who was living with me by then. Instead, she decided she would wait for me by a cold heater.
I love this paragraph very much. This reflection on the familiar behaviour of a pet, ostensibly to work out if there's a difference between a pet and sufficiently advanced AI. But also, it seems to me that this is an investigation into love itself.
Did Ullman's cat love her? Do any of our pets love us?
Instinctively, we think "yes". Ullman has applied a programmer's mind - and a philosopher's mind - to the question:
Companionship, familiarity, expectation, mutual recognition, bodily comfort: if this is not a definition of love between aging creatures, I don't know what is.
I'm away from home for a few days, with gigs in London and Birmingham. I always miss my wife when I'm away, and this essay hasn't helped at all thank you.
It makes me think of our own rituals. Sometimes - not often - I'm awake before Elanor. I know what time her alarm will go off, so I join her in bed a minute before, so she wakes up gently to a cuddle before the cold brutality of the alarm. When I'm working in the study, Elanor will sometimes open the door a crack, and wait to be invited in.
This is the difference between love and programming. Last time I was away, Elanor defrosted the freezer - an accomplishment of immense bravery and determination. She didn't tell me this, but when I came home she challenged me to work out what chore she'd done while I was away - knowing that, letting me discover this action by opening the freezer would be the best possible way for me to find out she'd done this.
How did Elanor know this? We've been together 20 years this month. Perhaps she reflected on the fact that I'm delighted by surprise, and by playfulness. Maybe she thought about the way I like stories - and that investigating the house, searching for new jobs completed, would give me the thrill of an adventure. It's possible she considered my love of novelty and shared experiences - and came up with this way of presenting her accomplishment according to these principles; these techniques for controlling the reveal.
All of this *could* be true. That Elanor consciously processed, analysed the data. Her understanding of me. Maybe, perhaps, possibly.
But I think she just knew.
Familiarity. Expectation. Recognition. Love between aging creatures!
People are so excited that generative AI can produce ugly pictures and bland copy. But I don't think it would curl up in front of a cold heater in an empty study.
Because any relationship with a program is an illusion. It isn't love. Because love isn't defrosting the freezer. Love is defrosting the freezer while your partner's away, anticipating their response, looking forward to their joy.

Sonic X Shadow Takeover Analyzer (Part 1)
Tumblr media
I was so excited to hear this Takeover since it is only Sonic and Shadow talking to each other and answering question. It is one of those times where you get to see their dynamic without anyone else's input.
Since I feel like I could write an essay about these two, I decided to instead put all my thoughts into bullet points, this being Part 1 of my list:
First of, congratulations to Shadow for hosting the Takeover! Shadow sounds so proud of having managed to take over the channel and having gotten a whole year for himself. At least until Sonic reminds him that he is also there.
Why does Sonic's mind immediately jump to ''marriage'' when he hears the word proposal? Is he still bummed over the fact that he didn't think of proposing to Shadow?
I never thought I'd live the day to hear Shadow saying ''Sonic x Shadow''. I know it's referring to the game, but shippers are going to have a field day with this.
Shadow finally got his #AskShadow. Sonic is not happy to lose to him.
The best way for Sonic to annoy Shadow is to just be around him, with Sonic adding how he'd slowly take his time when they're racing and drag it out, much to Shadow's chagrin. God, I love how Sonic trolls Shadow.
Sonic doesn't know about Doom Wing... and he forgot about Black Doom! X3
I love how Sonic's idea in a body swap scenario with Shadow is to brag about himself, while Shadow's idea is to tell everyone how Sonic is stupid... and more importantly, telling that to Amy. Sonic sounds really flustered, and while I get the Sonamy joke... I'm pretty sure they threw that in because they knew the Sonadow fans will go wild over this.
There you have it folks! Shadow doesn't hate Tails, but he will beat him up if he stands in his way. I also love how Sonic immediately jumps to Tails' defense - big brother gotta protect his little brother.
Sonic loves the journey, while Shadow points out how you need to learn from the experience to not make the same mistakes. I love their philosophy, since they mesh so well together... and it also feels as if Sonic wants to go on a journey with Shadow.
I love the scenario of Sonic and Shadow babysitting Cream and them arguing over their methods (Sonic, the twelve scoop ice-cream cone scenario is really specific).
Did Sonic just invite Shadow on an ice-cream date? As Cream's babysitters, but nonetheless, it is a date. And he also knows what Shadow's favorite ice-cream flavour is.
Okay, start the counter for how many times Sonic attempts to convince Shadow to go out with him.
I love how Sonic knows how to challenge Shadow and Shadow falls for it despite his reservations, even if it's something silly like a thumb war. Sonic knows exactly how to get under his skin and Shadow just goes along with it, much to his chagrin. X3
Sonic, Shadow and Silver have a Big Brother, Little Brother relationship! Love how they're ready to help him at any point of time and how Shadow respects Silver.
So, Sonic forgot about Elise? To note Sonic 06 technically did happen, but the universe did get reset.
I adore that Shadow acts like he doesn't care whether he's Sonic's biggest rival, but the moment Sonic starts trolling him by placing him between Zavok and... Dodon Pa? (What?) - Shadow gets irritated. It's obvious that Shadow wants the recognition of being Sonic's main rival, and knows Sonic is messing with him.
Did Shadow just laugh at the Joe Mama joke?
Shadow correcting Sonic's Macarena bit is hilarious, especially since neither of them know the lyrics. Also, obligatory Macarena singing is obligatory.
I love how Shadow shares Omega's ''enthusiasm for blowing things up''. We saw him enjoying himself blowing up G.U.N. property alongside Omega and Rouge in Sonic X Shadow Generations: Dark Beginnings, so I'm not surprised. Sonic then immediately figures he also needs to hang out more with Omega,... perhaps in hopes to get closer to Shadow?
Shadow pointing out how Tails is the reason why Sonic's always in trouble is not wrong. These two can be a disaster when together as siblings tend to do.
''Shadow, have you ever given Sonic a present on his birthday?'' ''No, my presence is more than enough.'' There are several things to discuss here:
Shadow is willing to buy Amy a present in The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog, but couldn't bother get anything for Sonic, which is hilarious. Especially since we know that it was Rouge who convinced him to go to Sonic's birthday by promising him a rocket.
Shadow arrived at Sonic's birthday just after he was traumatized by watching Gerald and Maria return to their own timeline, knowing this was the last time he saw them again. I doubt getting a present for Sonic was on his mind at that time.
Shadow claims his presence is enough of a birthday present. I interpret this as him claiming that he is Sonic's birthday present and you can't stop me.
Sonic teasing Shadow about the Hot Honey concert is so hilarious... until Shadow reveals they're going on another concert, and Sonic's mood drops. Honestly, Sonic, if you want to go to a concert with Shadow, ask him out!
Sonic being so intrigued and even saying that he's jealous over Shadow smiling in Big's presence, and then suggests a fishing trip with all three of them. Not only does he want to see Shadow smile again, but he is still persistent about getting his date.
Shadow chooses to save Sonic from danger because he knows Sonic will get himself into trouble, so he needs keep an eye on him. This is completely out of Sonic Prime and I'm loving it! It really shows that Shadow cares about Sonic.
Sonic isn't too enthusiastic about going with Amy on shopping trips. Shadow, on the other hand, just buys what he needs, which is understandable... Sonic then immediately uses this as an opportunity to invite him on a shopping date, even saying how he'll make it fun. Shadow immediately accepts the moment Sonic turns it into a race.
They mention the matching outfits (possible reference to Sonic Speed Simulator)! Sonic believes they have similar tastes, Shadow calls it a coincidence and insists it means nothing, which Sonic doesn't buy at all.
''But if we do ever go to a party, you know I'm picking the outfits.'' Sonic is still desperately trying to get that date and Shadow is not budging. These two sound like a married couple.
I love how Shadow respects Sonic enough to refuse beating him in a swimming competition, even if he reasons that it's because Sonic would drown, so he wouldn't be able to see the look of the defeat on his face.
Sonic immediately mentions a ''plummeting to Earth contest'', which is just... woah! I didn't expect him to go that far. Shadow gets an UNO Reverse on him by teasing him about needing floaties. Go Shadow!
Sonic keeps his chest fur short to stay aerodynamic and run laps around Shadow. You guys do know that hedgehogs circle around each other in order to court?
Frontiers!Sonic voice is back! Shadow sounds baffled. X3
So, Classic Sonic is just chilling in the room. Shadow likes him because he's silent, though. I suppose Modern Sonic is taking notes... or not.
