Happy New Year 2025 from WWC
Hello everyone,
Merry, cheery holidays! The WWC team and I have been making many silent strides closer to a writingwithcolor.org.
What we've been up to
While the going has been slow, we've made a lot of progress since raising donations from you guys to go towards a .org, which we've secured ever since. With this support and encouragement, we plan to maintain the blog as a permanent resource.
As for progress and use of donations
Times have been busy and oh, so trying, but we're trying harder. Also, donations (and free time) have been going to good use.
For instance, we've:
Cleaned up (Added, removed, renamed, combined) WWC post tagging for clarity and consistency.
Created mirroring pages on new blog (e.g. navigation, stereotypes and tropes navigation, etc.)
Migrated all blog posts to our standalone blog (4000 some posts)
Maintained the URL ($12 a year, Writingwithcolor.org, hidden from view lately as we get closer to launch, although we've had it redirecting to Tumblr only until recently)
Overall building out blog content on the host site ($15.99 a month)
Next steps are to:
Finalize our theme (The fun part)
Finish blog post cleanup on the migrated posts (WIP!).
More actions at a latter date after publishing
Currently, I have been going through each and every post, one-by-one, to:
Edit, update and refine content
Fix broken links
Improve accessibility, particularly on image-heavy posts
A lot of changed in the world since 2014, so we want even our earliest posts to reflect today's standards or at least note if something is olden days or we have a more helpful post or resource since.
Example of a post on the .org. Final theme and colors not applied yet
Soft launch and new hopeful publish date
This is the end stretch before we have an official SOFT LAUNCH!
We're considering it soft since there are just some things we can't easily correct yet or will just make everything take even longer to wait on. We'll continue to cross-link between here and there as we work on getting it all centralized, though.
But to be clear, as intended, we'll continue to post on tumblr as well as long as it sticks around.
Our new prospective publish date is for Spring 2025, in which we can also re-open to questions, release new guides, invite new members, etc. etc.
But who knows - perhaps we will get a chance to answer some questions in between then.
Thank you and let's catch up!
All of your support and patience has been so appreciated. Thank you for sticking around throughout the extended hiatus. Nonetheless, I do hope our robust depository of existing answers, detailed guides, recommendations, reblogs and so on has been helpful with your creative, professional and academic pursuits.
What have you all been up to? What strides have you made in 2024 and what goals do you have for 2025? Have you published any works? We want to hear it all. Share with us on this post!
Wishing you all a happy and healthy 2025,
~Colette and WWC team

If you live in the US, STOP SCROLLING
This is your reminder to make a Voting Plan!
Step 1: Check your Registration
Registered already? Go to Step 3!
Step 2: Register to Vote
Step 3: Learn about your state's Early Voting Options
Like early voting and have that option? Skip to Step 5!
Step 4: Explore your Day-Of Voting Options
Step 5: Research Candidates
Step 6: Share your Plans
Detailed sample down below!
Step 1: I'm in California, so I clicked here at https://www.vote411.org/check-registration
Clicking on that took me to my state's registration check page, where I filled out in those fun black squares with my info...
...and there's my confirmation! This also provides info on where I'm currently registered to vote, which is good to know when looking up ballot drop-off locations.
Step 2: Since I already am registered I could skip this, but just to show it off here's what the online tool at https://www.vote411.org/register looks like!
The site asks you to put in your name and mailing address, and then sends you off to your own state's voter registration page to finish it up!
Step 3: Since I'm in California, I went to https://www.vote411.org/select-state and selected that state to bring up CA's voting information page.
And here's what my info looks like! The top of the page gives a quick overview of registration deadlines...
...and scrolling down reveals a bunch of additional info for any further questions! I've selected Early Voting on the lefthand tab to bring that up here.
Skimming this, it looks like California offers voting by mail, which is what I want to do.
Scrolling further down the lefthand menu I pulled up the Vote by Mail tab to learn more...
...and based on the information there I went to find the tab that would tell me about Drop Boxes in California!
Following that link brings me to California's early voting drop-off page.
For now let's just use Disneyland as our address to see where we can drop things off. Entering the county and city information we get this list:
Checking the box to Display Results on Map, it looks like there's a drop off location right by Disney that is open 24 hours! I went ahead and screenshotted the address on my computer, and opened it in google maps so that I could keep track of where it was.
Perfect, I now have a plan for dropping off my mail-in ballot!
Finally, I want to know where my mail-in ballot is. Assuming you live in a state with mail-in ballots but haven't seen yours yet, you can usually track them or request new ones if your address has recently changed.
I just googled "California mail in ballot tracking" and wound up on this page.
Filling out the little form at the Where'sMyBallot link (name and date of birth), I can see that my ballot has been sent out and is en route!
Since it was sent on October 7th, I suspect it's already arrived, and lo and behold checking my mailbox there it is buried under all the political mailers!
Step 4: Since I will be voting by mail, I will skip Step 4 for now (though vote411.org lists traditional voting areas/what I'd need to bring so that's where I'd get that info if needed!)
Step 5: When doing research I started with https://www.vote411.org/ballot, since it gives a preview image of all of the items that will be on my ballot based on my address.
I can click on any of these to see the candidate options, and their statements if they've been provided. However for many of these options on vote411.org there aren't too many additional details, so I want to do my own research looking at neutral voting summaries and candidate endorsements by groups I align with politically!
For the election summary, I started with the General Election Official Voter Information Guide booklet that was mailed to my address a few weeks ago. This is the best source of unbiased voting information in my opinion, especially when it comes to state and local propositions since it will summarize them and also include opinion pieces written for and against each one. You can also access it online, as shown below!
To find it, I googled "California Official Voter Information Guide", and made sure it was sourced from my local government.
Another good source of information I used is npr.org, or National Public Radio. NPR provides news that is free to read and listen to, and is one of my personal favorite ways to stay informed. There's also local branches of the station for every state, and each one will usually have a voting guide with side-by-side comparisons that makes it easy to read.
To find mine, I googled "California NPR Voting Guide"
Finally if there was anything on the ballot where I wasn't convinced one way or the other on certain candidates or initiatives, I checked out some political endorsements!
A few of the ones I looked at are Planned Parenthood (women's health and abortion access), the Sunrise Movement (climate activism), the Sierra Club (climate change, national park preservation). I found these by googling "[Name of org] voting guide california".
Since I'm voting by mail I could keep these webpages opened as I filled out my ballot.
For voting in person, I'd recommend writing candidates down as a cheat sheet to bring into the poll so you can remember what you want to vote for! https://www.vote411.org/ballot will let you arrange that cheat sheet real easily.
Now that my ballot is filled out I'll just drop it off at the address I found in Step 3 - setting a time for myself, I'll plan to drop it off when I go for a walk this afternoon! 👍
Step 6:
After I finished up I went ahead and posted on facebook and to my friends in discord on how I'd made a voting plan, to help encourage friends/family to do the same!
You can be as public or as personal as you want here, but sharing can help encourage others to put a plan together too - if you made it this far it can even be as simple as reblogging this post with a message saying "I Made a Voting Plan"!
#voting guide#how to vote#voting plan#I'll be sharing this a few more times before election day!#it's really important to go vote and making a voting plan helps guarantee that you'll do it!#wrote this instead of having an anxiety attack yesterday lol#this seemed more productive

i would strongly suggest anyone considering DIY to instead investigate states with shield laws! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transgender_rights_in_the_United_States#Displacement_and_sanctuary_states
"A number of states have passed laws protecting trans people and their families, as well as their healthcare providers, fleeing anti-trans states, from extradition." essentially, these are jurisdictions that have committed to NOT respecting federal orders that violate transgender human rights. it is very unlikely they will comply with orders to cease issuing HRT OR testing. even if you DIY in your home state, you may be able to access a planned parenthood (many do hormone tests, and many prescribe hrt!) in a sanctuary state so you can have things like your liver enzymes tested, along with basic physical changes like blood pressure.
i personally live in vermont and while it isn't all whiskers on kittens, there IS a LONG tradition of vermont dissent against federal injunctions. idk if i'd suggest moving here (the jobs are bad, the housing is worse, our winters and flooding are intense, and most of the state is an intense food desert) but specifically university of vermont's hospital has a really solid presence and any specialty you could want, including in-hospital plastic surgeons that do various genderful surgeries, as well as gynecology and hormone management. vermont medicaid also is REALLY good. if you are unemployed, for any amount of time, you qualify as long as you live any amount of time in the state. there are no copays. prescriptions are $1 each, no matter what. UVM has eaten almost every smaller practice in the area, and they take medicaid. the local planned parenthood also has a special fund for helping pay for gender affirming care for those who don't have insurance and can't afford it. i know moving is not ideal ever but it's what i did about a decade ago and it's not bad for sure !
Pride Center of Vermont also exists if anyone wants a local org to chat about this sort of thing with, on weekdays during week hours they have a warmline open and are generally very kind and helpful.
thank you so much for this information!! i really appreciate it, i was not aware of this! i feel like this can help a lot of people already living in the United States, or people looking to move here!

chapter six
weeks passed after y/n’s conversation with emma, but nothing changed. she and mikey fell right back into their routine—going from her place to his, sneaking off during parties or ditching them entirely, even messing around in the corners of the library of the university. same thing every time, no questions asked.
so when her phone started buzzing next to her laptop, she already had a feeling who it was.
y/n barely got through two paragraphs of her case study before it vibrated again. and again.
mikey.
mikey: baby, need you to make me feel good.
mikey: come here. i’m bored of this fucking meeting.
mikey: and wear something sexy ;)
y/n sighed, biting back a smirk. it hadn’t even been five hours since he had her pressed up against the storage room shelves at university, moaning his name, yet here he was, already demanding more.
y/n: you’re horny again?? we just did it earlier.
y/n: atp, i should start charging you.
she stretched, glancing at the time. mikey was impatient. needy. and the way he phrased it—“please”—yeah, that got to her.
mikey: need ur pussy baby please.
her stomach flipped. this wasn’t just mikey being clingy. this was mikey wanting to ruin her.
y/n: text me the address.
── ⟢ ・⸝⸝
when y/n arrived, the bass-heavy music was pounding through the club walls. she pushed past the sweaty bodies, heading straight for the private lounge upstairs.
draken was the first to notice her. his expression tightened, concern flashing in his eyes. “what are you doing here?”
before she could answer, mikey exhaled slowly from his seat. his tie was loose, his sleeves rolled up, fingers lazily spinning a whiskey glass.
“okay, meeting’s over. you guys can handle this without me.”
silence.
“the fuck?” koko muttered.
sanzu’s grin widened. “ohhh.”
“seriously?” draken scoffed. “we’re in the middle of—”
“yeah, yeah, you’ll figure it out.” mikey waved them off and pushed himself up. his eyes flicked to y/n, dark and heavy. “c’mon, baby.”
he grabbed her wrist and led her away, leaving the others dumbfounded.
the second the door shut behind them, mikey pinned y/n against it.
his mouth crashed against hers, hands sliding down her waist, gripping her hips, then lower, grabbing her ass through the fabric of her dress.
“you always come when i call,” he murmured, teasing.
“and you always sound so needy when you do,” y/n teased, tilting her head. “kinda hot, actually.”
then, she shoved him onto the bed.
mikey let out a low chuckle, running a hand through his hair as she climbed onto his lap. her fingers skimmed over his tie, loosening it even more.
“wanna try something new?” he asked, voice dripping with something dangerous.
y/n tilted her head. “depends.”
mikey pulled out a sleek container from his pocket, flipping it open with one hand. inside, a few small pills.
he took one between his fingers, holding it up to her lips. “take it.”
but y/n had other plans.
she grabbed his tie, wrapping it around her fingers as she leaned in, taking the pill from his hand—but instead of swallowing, she pressed it against his lips.
her fingers lingered before she pushed them deeper, pressing the pill past his lips until it rested on her fingertips. mikey’s breath hitched, his tongue flicking over her skin before he wrapped his lips around her fingers and sucked—slow, teasing. he swallowed the pill dry, then grinned, never breaking eye contact as his tongue ran lazily over her fingertips.
his pupils dilated.
he took another pill, put it between his lips, then pulled y/n in for a deep, slow kiss—pushing the pill past her lips with his tongue.
hot. filthy. the kind of kiss that made her ache.
y/n moaned softly, sucking on his tongue. mikey groaned, his hands sliding up her thighs, pushing her dress higher.
“you taste like whiskey,” she whispered, lips brushing against his jaw.
mikey smirked, gripping her waist. “you taste better.”
his hands trailed lower, slipping between her thighs like he already knew what he’d find. instead of discarding them completely, mikey simply slid her panties to the side, his fingers pressing against her core, feeling the slick warmth waiting for him. he hummed, dragging his fingers back up, meeting her gaze as he brought them to his lips.
slowly, he sucked them clean, savoring the taste before letting them slip out with a quiet pop. “yeah,” he murmured, smirking. “way better.”
then, without warning, he fingered her—pushing two fingers inside her with ease. his pace was fast, relentless, curling deep as his thumb toyed with her clit. a gasp slipped from her lips, her body jerking against him, but mikey only grinned, watching every reaction like he was committing it to memory.
his patience ran out in seconds. with a low curse, he hurriedly freed his cock, barely giving her a moment to react before he was pushing inside, burying himself to the hilt in one deep thrust. y/n moaned so loud at the sudden intrusion, her nails clawing at his skin. mikey wasn’t holding back—he fucked her fast and deep, one hand gripping her ass, the other tangled in her hair, pulling just enough to make her gasp. every thrust sent a shiver through her spine, her body molding against his as he took exactly what he wanted.
the skin-slapping sounds only made it more pleasurable for both of them, the raw pace driving them closer to the edge. mikey groaned against her neck, his grip on her tightening.
“fuck,” he murmured, his breath hot against her skin. “you feel so good, baby.”
y/n let out a broken moan, her fingers tangling in his hair as she pushed back against him. “manjiro—”
his movements faltered for just a second. hearing his full name spill from her lips in that breathless, desperate voice made something in him snap. his fingers dug harder into her ass, his other hand tightening in her hair as he pulled her even closer.
“say it again,” he rasped, his voice lower, rougher.
“manjiro,” she whimpered, her body trembling against him.
he let out a sharp exhale, his grip tightening—and then he moved her, pushing her onto all fours before slamming back in. he went faster. impossibly faster. y/n’s eyes widened, a gasp ripping from her throat as she clung to the sheets, barely able to process how he was fucking her even rougher than before. the pleasure was overwhelming, her body shaking under the intensity of it all.
“fuck, you’re gonna kill me, baby,” he groaned, but he didn’t slow down—not even a little.
and yet, he still wanted more.
smack.
a sharp slap landed on her ass, followed by mikey’s rough grip on her hips as he drove himself deeper. y/n’s moans filled the room, mixing with mikey’s low groans and the unmistakable sound of skin meeting skin.
then—knock, knock.
“tch.” mikey clicked his tongue in annoyance, but he didn’t stop. if anything, he fucked her harder, as if proving a point to whoever dared to interrupt.
draken’s voice came through the door, sounding completely unbothered. “we’re already done with the meeting. we just need your go signal for this.”
y/n buried her face deeper into the mattress, mortified, but mikey only grinned, leaning down to press a teasing kiss to her shoulder.
“not now,” mikey called back, his voice still thick with pleasure.
draken sighed. “hurry it up, man. this is important.” a pause. then, with deadpan patience.
mikey chuckled, rolling his hips slower this time, savoring the way y/n clenched around him. “yeah? you wanna come in and watch me sign papers while i’m balls deep in her?”
“jesus, just get your ass out here when you’re done.” draken grumbled, already walking away.
mikey smirked, tugging y/n’s head back slightly by her hair, his lips brushing against her ear. “guess i gotta make this quick, baby.”
then, without warning, he slammed back into her, harder than before.
y/n’s breath hitched, her body tightening around him as the pleasure built up fast, too fast. she gripped the sheets, her voice shaky, desperate—
“manjiro—i’m cumming—”
mikey groaned low in his throat, something about the way she said his name making his blood run hotter. he leaned in, lips brushing against her ear as he murmured, “yeah? let me feel it, baby.”
he didn’t slow down—if anything, he fucked her faster, his grip on her arms tightening as he pulled them back, keeping her completely at his mercy. y/n cried out, her whole body trembling as her orgasm crashed over her, waves of pleasure making her vision blur.
mikey felt every pulse of it—the way she clenched around him, the way she gasped for air like she couldn’t take any more. and fuck, he was right there with her. his thrusts grew sloppier, rougher, the pleasure coiling in his gut, ready to snap—
but at the last second, he pulled out, a sharp breath leaving his lips. before y/n could even register what was happening, his fingers tangled in her hair, tilting her head up.
“open your mouth for me,” he murmured, voice thick with lust.
she barely had time to comply before he stroked himself once, twice—then he groaned, low and guttural, as he came across her flushed skin. some of it dripped down her lips, and mikey swiped his thumb over it, pushing it into her mouth with a lazy smirk.
for a moment, they just stayed like that—y/n panting, her body spent, mikey still catching his breath, his grip on her hair loosening. then, after a beat, he chuckled, wiping the corner of her mouth with his thumb.
“i’ll be right back.”
── ⟢ ・⸝⸝
mikey didn’t bother fixing his shirt as he stepped out of the room, barely buttoning the top two buttons before making his way back to the meeting. his hair was a mess, his skin still warm, but he didn’t give a shit.
he slammed the door open, the sound echoing through the room as all eyes snapped to him.
“where the fuck are the papers?” his voice was sharp, impatient, his usual laziness nowhere to be found.
chifuyu scrambled to hand them over. mikey snatched the documents, barely glancing at them before tossing them onto the table.
“anything else?” he asked, tone clipped, like he was daring someone to waste more of his time.
draken, arms crossed, barely held back a smirk. “nah, that’s it.”
mikey turned on his heel without another word.
as soon as the door swung shut behind him, baji let out a low whistle. “man, i’ve never seen mikey so whipped for a girl.”
draken just chuckled, shaking his head. it wasn’t mocking—it was more like he was proud.
“let him be.”

unplanned sleepover

genre: smut
word count: 1.4k
⋆。˚ ⋆
"You can sit on my bed," Sooyoung told you upon entering her dorm room. It was quite spacious, you thought. The two beds certainly caught your attention, their neatness contrasting against the cozy disarray of the rest of the room. Posters of romcom films adorned one wall, while a whiteboard covered in colorful sketches and project ideas took up another. On the study desk, a jumble of art supplies mingled with a laptop displaying a digital design in progress. The room felt like a creative hub where the worlds of multimedia arts collided in a harmonious chaos curated by two distinct personalities.
"Do you want anything? Coffee? Juice? Water?" Sooyoung asked as she placed back her roommate's gaming chair near where it belongs.
"No, I'm good,” you replied, casting your eyes around the room, taking in the unique blend of multimedia arts influences in the shared space. You noticed a film camera on the desk and asked Sooyoung if that was hers.
"It's Wonwoo's," Sooyoung responded with a smile, gesturing towards the camera with a hint of admiration.
"Wonwoo? Oh, the guy you've been crushing about?"
Sooyoung snorted. "That's Jaehyun, dumbass. You never really listen to my stories, don't you?" You laughed when she threw a hoodie at you in which you caught. You knew it was Jaehyun, you were just messing with her.
"Wonwoo's my roommate."
"Oh, I didn't know men and women can share the same dorm room," you said in disbelief, as you knew it was not allowed in most dormitories.
Sooyoung shrugged, unfazed. "My landlord is cool with it and besides, I don't really mind sharing the same room with the opposite sex. As long as they're clean and mindful in their space, I won't have a problem with them. And Wonwoo's really nice. He's neat. We also share the same course so we really get along with each other!" As she spoke, Sooyoung picked her pajamas from her cabinet, preparing to change into sleepwear for the night.
"Why isn't he here though?" You asked as you lay on her bed, getting comfy. The bed felt nice and soft. You noticed some polaroid pictures of Sooyoung with friends near her bedside table. It was cute to see familiar faces from your shared circle of friends since high school.
"Org duties, I guess. He said he'll be home late," she shrugged.
"I'll go get changed," Sooyoung said before heading to the bathroom. You found yourself scrolling and watching tiktok videos on your phone on her bed. It was kind of funny that despite being friends for years, it was the first time being alone together. You usually never had this chance due to various reasons.
Your stay in her dorm wasn't planned. Your car broke down, and with heavy rain outside, the mechanic couldn't come fix it. Luckily, Sooyoung's dorm was nearby. It became your refuge from the storm. Without her help, you'd be out in the cold.
~
You were sleeping in one bed with Sooyoung. It wasn't supposed to be like that but you've had sleepovers with your circle of friends before. Sleeping in one bed shouldn't be a bad thing.
What's bad is that you're lusting over her. It shouldn't be like this. You know that yourself.
You wished you didn't enter the bathroom earlier. If you hadn't, you wouldn't see her dirty laundry. It wasn't your fault that you saw her undies lying there. It wasn't your fault that you had the urge to pick it up and smell it. But you did pick it up and smell it. The thought of Sooyoung wearing it just turned you even more and caused tenting on your sweatpants.
Here you are, lying on your side with your back to her. You're trying your best to fall asleep, but it seems impossible. Sooyoung, on the other side of the bed, keeps shifting and turning, making it even harder for you to find rest. You just want to get off this feeling.
'Should I just jerk off in the bathroom?' You've been asking yourself this question for the past 30 minutes now. But the bathroom's kinda far from the bed.
The room was dark. The only sound you could hear was the rain outside. The gentle tap-tap-tap against the window filled the room, creating a peaceful atmosphere. You're finally getting off that idea in your mind until you heard small soft whimpers.
You changed your position, now you're facing Sooyoung. You waited for that sound again, because you thought that your mind is just messing around. Was it Sooyoung? Or maybe that was Wonwoo? Her roommate, who's sleeping soundly on the other side of the room. Nah, it won't be him. It sounded like a girl's, you thought.
You were about to sleep when you heard something again, and this time, you were sure that it was Sooyoung.
The room was dimly lit, but when you adjusted to the darkness you saw Sooyoung rubbing herself. The hem of her dark blue night gown lifted up to her thigh. Your heart beat went crazy, not knowing what to do.
"Ohh," she moaned quietly. You can't stop watching pleasuring herself. It's a new sight for you. You've known her for years and you never knew she has this side of hers. You were always bickering with each other but you always thought that she was all this innocent.
You felt hot, wishing Sooyoung won't notice.
You slightly moved, turning yourself more towards her, to watch more clearly. Sooyoung stopped for a second, scanning your face before going back to rubbing again.
You can't help it anymore, and moved again, this time your arm flinging over to her side making sure to lightly brush her thigh before resting your arm on her stomach.
"Shit," she whispered to herself, not being able to continue anymore. You felt her try to pull your arm away but you just changed your position, your leg now brushing up to her thigh. You can feel her body heat and heaving, getting turned on even more.
You felt her stop for a few minutes.
She then finally rested her hand on top of yours.
You found it cute not until she lifted your hand and put it over her wet pussy. Your eyes instantly opened, obviously shocked at what she did. Damn, she's not wearing an underwear.
"I knew it, you're awake." She whispered, you tried to pull your hand away but she gripped it tighter.
"Can you help me with this one? Please?" She begged as she bit her lip as she guided your hand to her cunt. You gulped. With shaky hands, you found yourself messing with the hem of her sleepwear.
'Why are you nervous? She literally asked you for this.' You thought. Sooyoung squeezed her clothed breast as she waits for your next move. You were contemplating for a second before whispering "fuck it" under your breath and placed your hand over her shaved pussy.
You traced her vagina with your middle finger. You pressed it between her folds, finding her clit with ease.
"Oh- fuck... this is way better than using my own fingers- god!" You watched her covering her mouth with her own hands, feeling the sensation you've been giving her. For some reason, you liked how's this going.
You circled her clit. You can feel how warm and wet she have had become. Sooyoung was trying so hard not to make a noise when you added another finger inside her. Her breathing became heavy and a little unsteady. You placed your other arm underneath her to pull her body closer to you.
"Does it feel good, Sooyoung?" You whispered in her ear that earned you a grip on your forearm.
"Feels so good," she croaked. The rain was too loud. Wonwoo won't probably hear what's happening between you two, right?
You placed soft kisses on the side of her neck as you increased the pace of your fingers. You can feel her body wriggle from the pleasure. You loved how every time you went deeper, her grip on you got tighter.
"Just like that," she whispered. You kept hitting the spot she could barely reach with her own fingers. Sooyoung arched her back, palming her tits as she grinds against your fingers, trying to reach that delicious high she's been aching to have. Her breath quickens as you hit the spot inside her, your fingers scissoring her tight hole.
"Ohhh," then she exploded. Sooyoung's cum wets your fingers. It took her a minute to calm down. You caressed her thighs as you wait for her to calm down from how she fell apart from the build-up you managed to give her.
"You owe me one," you told her, whispering in her ear while still stroking her soft skin.

The way the NDIS is structured means you basically have to treat it like a job if you want to actually get your needs met. I need an OT for several things and in order to get everything done, they need to bill for about 30 hours of work (some of the assessments are all-day things, and then the rest are for actually writing reports). They can’t accept the job until I confirm I have that. The document I have about my plan don’t say how many hours I can get, just says a total $ amount. So I have to look up what the rates for OTs are (which of course is about to change) and do math to figure out if I have that. I think I do, but I’m not 100% certain because the rules about how I can use the funding keep changing. So I need to call someone to confirm. my LAC I think? But my LAC is only available Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. When I’m working. I work from home so it’s not the end of the world but these phone calls can take hours depending on what we’re discussing.
That’s not even taking those all-day assessments from the OT which are needed to get any funding on my next plan into account. Most OTs have the same work hours too. Also the specialists appointments I need to confirm my disability effects what I say it does so they’ll even look at the OT’s report, and everything else. so I’ll likely end up loosing at least a few days of work at least by the end of it all. Oh and if you don’t do it fast enough they take the funding for the OT away because, “well you’re not using it”.
And then the gov complains about how too many of us “don’t want to work” and are on DSP? How do you expect us to hold down normal jobs when you keep making us jump through all these ridiculous hoops that can only be done during work hours?? You can only take so many days off and answer so many calls on the job before your employer starts getting the shits with you, even if they’re legally not supposed to. Again, I work from home and the only people I need to answer to right now are commission clients who are generally very understanding, but even that’s hard to balance with all this stuff when I need big adjustments done to my plan. The closest thing I’ve had to normal jobs have all been with specifically disability orgs who are understanding of this, but when all your employees have to jump through the same hoops every year it gets hard to manage. They’re understanding but they still need staff to cover shifts. And what about those of us with full-time jobs outside of the disability sector? A lot of people I know end up using up their holiday time to sort all this out.
I’m not ranting just to rant, I keep seeing people not on the NDIS, people who don’t know any disabled people or are the friend of someone’s niece’s husband who’s disabled, complaining about how easy the system is to rort as an NDIS participant but they have no idea what the system is actually like to navigate. And this is all just if everything goes smoothly, it usually doesn’t and then you have to spend weeks, months or longer fighting with them to fix it, usually by getting more input from OTs, Specialists, and other stuff that all takes time and often our own money. It’s not some get-rich-quick scheme, we don’t even get the money directly. It’s locked up and has to be approved before we can even use it, and it can only be used on increasingly specific things.

𝐀 𝐆𝐈𝐑𝐋 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐇𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐍 The Marvel cast x Org teen femreader!
Part 1: 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐀𝐔𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍
Summary: ❝Rhiannon Hart's life as she used to know it was about to change. She was a young actress in progress from a small town in Minnesota playing small roles from a very young age, After months of her latest project, Rhiannon thought she would continue with her daily routine, concentrating on her studies and resting. Until her representative gets her an audition with Marvel Studios, for a new character. After her audition, Rhiannon didn't believe she could be selected to play the new character, until Kevin Faige contacts her to give her the good news...❞
Part 1 of a series. Words: 1.661 Warnings: Angs, fluffy, silly things. Bad parents. A lovely and supporting grandma. She is just a girl wanting to be something in her life. This fics is was created for fun, nothing serious, also this fics is set in 2015, before the filming of Captain America: Civil War.
Autor's note: Hi! English is not my first language, and I apologize if there are any grammatical errors, you may find translation errors since I have little knowledge of English and mostly use Google Translate. I was also planning to move the fanfic to A03, but maybe I'll do it later. It's a little short ,but i'm gonna try to do the next chapter a little longer.
Hope you like it!

Rihannon knew the process of every audition she had ever had in her life, each audition had led her to have a small role as an extra character who only appeared for a few minutes, or a secondary character who only appeared for a short period of time in several series or films, whether they are films on the small screen or recognized TV series.
But no audition compared to the one she was going to have right now.
It's not every day that your agent gets you an audition to play a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Not much was known about the new character, apart from confirming that it was going to be a female character, the mysterious announcement about the casting for that new character had been announced the same day that Marvel confirmed that they had opened casting for a new Spider-Man interpreter, and that excited all the fans including rhiannon.
It had been confirmed that the new mysterious character and Spider-Man would have to be close to adolescence and that they would be something like a duo, a friendship that would form unexpectedly and not at all romantic, just platonic.
And that drove the fans crazy, forming theories about whether he was Black Cat or some villain or antihero from the Spider-Man universe.
But many fans corrected them by saying that the mysterious character could be a friend of Spider-Man and Peter Parker, based on what Marvel Studios announced.
Everyone had their suspicions and theories, and yet weeks after its announcement, Marvel still did not reveal anything.
Wiping the sweat from her hands on her flannel shirt, Rihannon stood in front of the door of the large building in front of her, her head unable to question herself and create scenarios of what could go wrong at her audition.
She loved his job, she loved the world of art and acting, but she never imagined auditioning for one of the largest film companies in the world. There was a second when she thought about leaving and not attending the audition.
But she couldn't.
Not after how hard her representative fought to get her an audition, knowing how much Rihannon loved the Marvel universe and her dream of being part of the Marvel family one day.
She couldn't disappoint her representative, neither her grandmother, and much less herself, she had worked very hard to get to where she was, it would just be one more audition, just like the other auditions she had had in the past.
Right?
Ignoring the small mess of nerves building up in her stomach, she took courage and opened the door to enter the large building, she stopped for a second to admire her surroundings, noticing the walls decorated with giant paintings from Marvel movies, several statues of the more iconic characters, she continued admiring until her bluish eyes found the silhouette of a woman sitting behind a desk.
Knowing that it was the receptionist, she grabbed the strap of her backpack and walked quickly towards the woman, feeling her nerves eating away at her for a moment.
Upon being in front of her, the receptionist, sensing a presence, looked away from her computer screen, and looked curiously at the young woman with blonde, curly hair, almost impressed by the deep blue color of her eyes, noticing her shy aura smiled kindly at the young teenager, rihannon returned the smile shyly.
━━Hello sweetie, how can I help you?━━She asked softly, Rihannon opened her mouth and closed it instantly when she felt nervous.
━━I-I, uh… I came for an audition, with Mr. and Mrs. Russo. My name is Rihannon Hart━━She spoke quickly, feeling her cheeks heat at her stutter. But that didn't seem to bother the woman, who just smiled sweetly and nodded.
━━Of course, you're on time. If you allow me, I'll make a call to notify the auditioners━━━At her words, the girl quickly nodded, letting the brown-haired woman do her job.
She stepped back from the desk a little while watching the receptionist pick up the phone and dial a number.
━━Hello, sir? Miss Rihannon Hart has arrived for her audition, should I tell her to wait in the room or…? Great, I'll tell her. See you later sir━━When she hung up, the receptionist smiled at her as she got up from her seat━━Mr. Russo said that you can come and audition now. I'll guide her to the audition room━━She speaks, Rihannon nodded following the woman from behind.
On her short walk to the elevator, Rihannon began to play with the rings that surrounded her fingers in an attempt to distract her nerves. On the one hand she was nervous at the idea of giving a bad impression to the directors and on the other hand she was relieved to Having memorized the entire dialogue of her script, she had been day and night reviewing each word and practicing her lines with her grandmother that she was sure she would do well.
Well, her grandmother and representative were in charge of letting her know that she would do it well.
She was so deep in thought that if it weren't for the kind woman at the reception, she wouldn't realize that they had already reached the door of the audition room.
As soon as she opened the door, Rihannon followed her, from her place she could see the Russo brothers and Kevin Faige himself talking to each other, and she felt the tingling in her stomach reappear.
━━━Gentlemen, Miss Hart has arrived for her audition━━━The receptionist's voice caught the attention of the three men, as Rihannon saw them approach, a small smile formed on her lips.
━━Hello, a pleasure to meet you━━She said with a small smile and stretched out his hand towards them.
Both directors and the executive director smiled instantly, from her place Rihannon could see a small shine in the eyes of the three men in front of them, she avoided furrowing her eyebrows at the emotion in their eyes.
Anthony Russo was the first to shake his hand with hers, sporting a smiling smile.
━━━The pleasure is ours, miss hart. Your agent has told us a lot about you━━He commented almost excitedly when he had her in front of them, Joe and Kevin Feige nodded at his words.
━━I hope for good things━━She spoke in an attempt to joke, which made the three men laugh. Kevin Faige nodded without removing his smile.
“I promise you it was, Miss Hart,” he assured, earning a genuine smile from the girl.
━━Is it okay if we start with the audition? You can take a few minutes if you want━━Rihannon quickly denied before speaking.
━━No, I think I'm fine. But you can call me rihannon, of course if you don't mind━━She said.
━━Of course. I guess, Rihannon, you've already read the script━━Seeing her nod, Anthony Russo smiled with his brother━━Great, we'll guide you to where the test will be done.━━Obeying the directors, Rihannon said goodbye to the receptionist and smiled at the Seeing her murmurs a soft "good luck" with her two thumbs up.
━━So miss hart, your agent, alice. You told us about your latest work in Teen Wolf, right?━━In response to Feige's question, Rihannon smiled and nodded, remembering with adoration her participation in her favorite series.
━━Yes, my participation was short, but I enjoyed the experience━━She responded softly with a smile. Feige and the brothers looked at each other and smiled.
━━One of my daughters loves that series, and I must admit that they adore her character in the series━━Joe commented, making a small shine appear in the young actress's blue eyes.
━━Really? I'm glad that your daughter liked it━━A smile took over her when she knew that one of the director's daughters liked her performance in the series
She did not often hear adulation about her participation in Teen Wolf, given that her character only appeared for three episodes and then did not appear again. She had played a girl who was the daughter of a retired werewolf hunter, who saved Derek Hale of an enemy shooting him with a shotgun and joining the pack for a short time, her colleagues and director of the series had congratulated her for her work, and her skills in the few stunts she had performed at the time.
Her grandmother was the most excited to see her granddaughter in the series, as was her friend Lucy, but no one other than the two of them congratulated her except for a few classmates from her school.
Upon arriving at the testing area, Rihannon allowed herself to admire the place, observing in detail the black walls, the lights that hung from the ceiling and the lamps that surrounded the small recording set, in front of the set there was a camera and three seats , in which she assumed the brothers russo and kevin feige would be sitting.
Seeing the young woman admiring the set, the CEO approached her.
━━You can leave your backpack there, if you want. We'll start in a few minutes━━He pointed to one of the empty chairs not far from where they were, with a small nod, Rihannon thanked him with a small smile and walked away to rest his backpack on the chair.
After a few minutes, Rihannon was in front of the camera - still off - while the makeup artist finished her work before she could perform her audition.
━━Forgive me for saying this, but you look like a badass Barbie━━At the comment of the makeup artist, named Ruth, Rihannon let out a small laugh as she felt the corner of her lips rise upward.
━━Thank you?━━She dubiously acknowledged his compliment with a small smile on her face. When she finished, Ruth said goodbye to her with a small smile and wished her good luck.
━━Are you ready, Rihannon?━━Listening to one of the Russo brothers, Rihannon took a deep breath and then nodded.━━Great, the camera is already on and will start recording in 3…2…1━ ━━Seeing the red light of the camera, the teenager looked forward, feeling her facial expression become serious.
The first dialogue was heard through the voice of Kevin Faige.
And that dialogue would only be the beginning of everything.

Hello! I hope you're doing well and I'd like to thank you for being the rad trans uncle of Tumblr. I'm in a fuckin' crimson state that's quite unfriendly to trans people and I'm afraid I won't be able to leave until 2028 at the earliest. Might I ask if there's anything you'd recommend doing? Anywho, I hope the leaves were great where you are! Peace!
It's been weird, but I'm glad to be here. :) As for recommendations, well, while you are not in a great place for trans rights, thinking ahead towards a move a few years down the road *is* good. Stuff you should be considering:
Get your finances in order.
Start with making a budget (I like the tool YNAB), tracking your habits, and looking for places to reduce spending. I know that can mean squeezing blood from a stone, but even saving up gas money for a cross-country trip can move up your moving timeline.
You also want to start planning your moving expenses. For example, buying boxes, using a moving service, cost to service your car, calming meds for your pets, etc. Just make a spreadsheet and keep adding as you think of things. Have a rolling total and track against your savings.
Lastly, get your credit score in order. A free service like Credit Karma is fine, but as you get closer to having to apply for rent or a mortgage, sign up with each credit agency and pull your report. Get caught up on any delinquencies asap and do not miss any payments from now until you are moved - missed payments take the longest of ANYTHING to fall off your score.
If you've changed your legal name, make sure it matches with all the credit bureaus. If you feel responsible with credit, ask for a credit line increase every 6 months - that will help with your debt ratio if you are currently trying to pay down a balance. Plan a credit score timeline with a hard stop at least 2 months before you apply for a loan/rent -- after that, no more making any big purchases or applying for new cards. Try to have no more of 10% of your total credit line actually on your cards by the end of your timeline. Aka, if your line of credit is $1,000, you only want $100 on the cards.
2. Start paring down your stuff
Gt crafty hobbies? Stop adding to your stash. Stop it. Start getting rid of broken things, clothes that don't fit, stuff you don't see yourself using, or stuff that is cheaper to sell & buy at your new place, rather than pay to move. If this all feels hard, put the items you're questioning in a box now, and then open it next year and see how you feel. Don't buy anything you wouldn't want to move.
3. Start your research
Make lists of towns that look promising. See how their local government works. Check the local reddits and facebook groups to get the vibes. Make lists of "must haves" and "nice to haves" at the state, city, neighborhood, and even house level. Get an idea for what the cost of living will be in your new place. Decide what your deal-breakers will be.
4. Work on your job skills
Four years is a lot of time to improve yourself for a good salary hike. It's a lot of time to get marketable for remote jobs, which will broaden your opportunities to live where you want. If remote work interests you, start looking at job listings and note the requirements. Make a plan to be qualified within 3 years.
5. Make a bucket list of things to do in your current state
There must be some good things about your state. There were in mine. Afford yourself grace and do some fun things that you might not have the chance to do again when you move. Hang out especially with local friends and family you care about.
6. Keep an eye on what's happening wrt trans rights.
Follow trans pundits and your local trans rights orgs. Get in the habit of learning what's going down in your municipality, down to the school board level. Be prepared to have to adjust your moving timeline if shit hits the fan.
7. Stay on top of your healthcare and legal stuff
No passport yet? Apply now. Forgetful about getting your HRT renewed? Set reminders and work hard to stay on top of everything. As you get closer to moving, research healthcare options in your new home and get appointments lined up asap.
8. If you're selling & buying a house, be prepared for it to take nearly a year
Seriously, it can take forever for everything to work out. Work with realtors in your new state who specialize in remote sales & relocations. Start repairing your current place by year 3 and start packing months in advance of the final move.
tldr; Treat the next 4 years like you're at college and your degree is Getting the Hell Outta Dodge. Plan as much as you can with to-do lists and spreadsheets, with some kind of monthly goal at first, then weekly and daily goals as your move approaches. It can feel overwhelming, but knowing *now* that you are going to move means you can plan as much as possible and reduce the amount of panic-decisions.
Good luck!
#trans stuff#fwiw I knew in 2016 I wanted to move and I knew I had a ton of financial obstacles to overcome#it took me 8 years but also keep in mind I was dealing with the huge financial burden of escaping poverty#once shitty old delinquencies fell off my credit report I hit the ground running#in those 8 years I tripled my salary and became a remote worker#that gave me a lot of freedom for picking where to live#if you are moving with a partner delegate some things to them and then have regular check-ins#for example I handled getting out of FL and my partner handled finding a place to move *to*

Friendly reminder that a couple weeks ago Trump signed an executive order calling for increased logging even at the expense of endangered species, calling on the Endangered Species Commission, aka “God Squad”, to get around environmental regulations! There’s also a plan to use the God Squad to help expand oil production in federal land.
The Endangered Species Act is a large part of why we have a healthy Bald Eagle population today. There’s something strangely poetic about the president of the United States endangering Bald Eagles for the sake of business interests.
Anyways, reminder to people in the US to vote during midterms. The Dems may suck but they will not suck as much as this will. Bald Eagles going the way of the rest of the dinos isn’t a good sign for the country, and minimizing harm is important on its own.
If you want to make a difference outside of voting (something I recommend to everyone) try looking for environmental groups in your local area. Even if there’s nothing you can do on the nation wide scale, they can get you started on local change. Figure out local species you can help. Donate to environmental lobbyists to try to get more environmental protections in law. Be annoying to your politicians, send emails and social media posts and letters.
Also, remember, if you feel so angry you can’t handle writing a letter or meeting an org, it’s always helpful to take out your anger on the invasive species in your area. It won’t change the destructive path of the Trump admin or get rid of the species, but it’ll be a little. Surviving while doing a little is a lot right now.
#america#politics#american politics#enviromentalism#endangered species#bald eagle#donald trump#trump administration#president trump#trump#direct action#vote#political#ecofriendly#atp even if you’re a republican I’m hoping you can put our differences aside#look at a president risking the national bird and think#maybe that’s a bad idea#maybe environmental protections are good sometimes#probably preaching to the choir here on tumblr but you never know#I saw a republican in the wild here once#plus even if you’re a tumblr leftist let’s be honest there’s only a 50/50 shot you’re actually doing direct action against the admin#please don’t give in to the performative politics guys 🙏#executive orders#midterm elections#also just to avoid people avoiding sources they see as biased I’m using government sources#so as of now all of this is on official government websites if any trump supporters wanna deny it

What Is Up With The NEA
There's a lot happening the US, and it's fine if the things in my specific corner have not caught your attention. But I want to let Tumblr know a bit about this in particular since a lot of folks I know here are artists.
Honestly I'm also getting annoyed with random people telling me and my coworkers what to do without actually knowing the deal. I'm not a grant specialist but I know more than the average citizen about this
What's the NEA: The National Endowment for the Arts gives money to arts organizations and projects in the US. It is federally funded (meaning the money is allocated on behalf of the American people). I work for an org that has received NEA funding for many years.
Very few orgs get the majority of their budget from the NEA, but if you do get NEA funding it gives you a certain level of "legitimacy" that makes it easier to get other funding.
(there's other arts funding that comes from federal $$ in different ways, but I'm not talking about that right now)
What happened: NEA announced everyone who is receiving 2025 grants from them back in December 2024. We have not signed a contract or received any of the money yet, but the information was made public (and went into our budget planning)
A few weeks ago, in response to various Executive Orders, the NEA has changed their rules and directives. Now, anyone who receives any amount of NEA funding cannot engage in programming or activities that "promote diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)" or "gender ideology."
But if it's not a large percentage of your budget, can't you take their money and use it for "approved" activities while doing DEI stuff with different money?: No. If you sign a contract and take NEA money, you are saying that none of your activities as an org support DEI or "gender ideology," whether or not NEA money goes to them. Even more sinister than that, it's required that any sub-contractors (anyone you pay) also fit their new criteria. So we couldn't pay any artists, contractors, staff, etc who "do a DEI or do a gender" either.
Can't you just use different terms and still do equitable work?: No, I wish it was that easy. We don't define what these things mean, the NEA and federal government will determine if you are in or out of compliance. If you take the money, they require that you come up with new reporting systems to "prove" that you are in compliance.
Now, who is going to be checking up on things since they are firing all the people in every department? Who fuckin' knows. It is all intentionally vague and threatening. Apparently Julianne Moore's book about freckles is "too DEI" so genuinely anything can fit their new criteria.
So you're just at risk of paying the money back? Be brave and try taking it anyway!: If someone at my org signs the paperwork and takes the money (and you can't get the money without an individual signing), we must comply with these rules on penalty of perjury. So a staff member at my job could get arrested and charged with perjury if we take this money and the federal government sees an actor we hire "do a gender" or thinks that a performance that happens in our building is "too DEI." For us, the money is not impactful enough to risk this.
Additionally, all of our non-profit status comes from the government, so if we agree to government rules and then "commit perjury," they could potentially come after our nonprofit status. We cannot exist without that, there is no easy way for a non-profit to just magically become a viable for-profit company at the snap of a finger.
Why would they do this: I mean they suck and want to silence anything but their own right-wing propaganda. But also if no one applies for this funding (even if they created the conditions where most orgs can't receive funding), they can get rid of the entire NEA and any federal arts funding because "no one wants it"
Wow this sucks what do I do: If you have the funds, contribute to arts orgs that are standing up and turning down NEA funding. If you don't, sign up for their newsletters, engage with their programming, share it with your friends, let your artist friends know which organizations are protecting their right to free speech
Jay are you losing your job?: right now, no. In the good news, many arts orgs that are taking a stand and publicly rejecting these funds and the strings that come with them have gotten some really great support from individuals. Does it make up the full gap in funds? Not yet, but $5 from an artist who believes in our values means more than any $30,000 that means we have to betray our fundamental purpose for existing.
We will have to cut and shrink some programming. I don't get paid a lot and that's not about to change. But we have plans to keep existing
If you specifically want to support my org, DM me and I'll give you info. I love my org but I also live my tumblr anonymity lol
The end
Thanks for reading this long post. I'm getting real tired of a bunch of armchair quarterbacks in my work email telling me "It's not that bad, just do this [incredibly basic thing that you would know is not possible if you just READ THE FREAKING INSTRUCTIONS]!" I appreciate your patience.

URGENT: DEMOCRACY AT RISK -COMMENTS NEEDED TONIGHT 4/23/25 by MIDNIGHT EDT
From Progressive Victory . org: Right-wing groups are planning to flood the Election Assistance Commission (“EAC”) Standards Board with public comment ahead of its annual meeting on April 24. At this meeting, the EAC Standards Board will be discussing whether the EAC should amend the national mail voter registration form to require documentary proof of citizenship, in accordance with Trump’s recent Executive Order. This would mean the only way to register to vote using the federal form would be with a passport, real ID proving citizenship (not available in any states except Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Vermont, and Washington), gov’t photo ID proving citizenship, or military ID. Birth certificates, naturalization forms, etc do not count. The EAC Standards Board is accepting public comment until midnight tonight, April 23, on this issue and how it would affect the public. Both individuals and organizations can submit comments at this link:
This is a huge barrier to voters, especially poor and working class who do not have the time or resources to get the specific IDs this would require. There are only 2 hours left to comment -- a script to start from is:
I [first name only] strongly object to amending the national mail voter registration form to require documentary proof of citizenship. This change would negatively impact me and members of my community. [Write your personal connection/story here. Comments that are personalized are the most impactful!!] Because of this and the severe negative impact this would have on countless Legal American Voters, I demand that this change not be executed due to the undue barriers it creates on voting. With Extreme Concern, [first name only]
You can comment anonymously, but if you have some personal anecdote or detail you are willing to share in the body of the comment makes a larger impact.
If you are US American, please take a minute to leave a comment and then SHARE with as many people as you can. We need as many defenders of voting rights as we can get in this short time we have left to comment.
Voter fraud is not a problem US elections, any time Republicans bring it up it is about disenfranchisement because they are a losing platform and the only way they win is if less people can vote. Do not let them silence your voice by blocking your right to vote.

What to do now
Or how I stopped weeping and learned to love my community
I hate to remind everyone but the Trump administration will soon be in power. Don't bank on his platform only being campaign promises or rhetoric. Here's what you can do now to prepare for January and the years ahead.
This list is very incomplete, please add more information and organizations if you know of other issues that could use increased attention.
Healthcare:
Medicaid may soon be reduced or eliminated for many people. If you may soon become uninsured please visit a healthcare provider as soon as possible. If you are unsure of whether you are up-to-date on your vaccines, screenings, etc. call or visit your healthcare provider.
If you are uninsured, you can still receive healthcare at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). FQHCs can vary from area to area but always offer a sliding fee scale, meaning that what you pay for healthcare will be determined by your ability to pay. You can find a FQHC near your using this tool. Find a clinic or healthcare provider that will work for you now, before the administration changes. Heads up that if you live in a small town or a rural area, your FQHC will likely be in the nearest big town, all the more reason to figure out your plans now including transportation. (If you don't have a hospital in your town, your FQHC is likely in the nearest town with a hospital)
If you have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS, the Ryan White Program is a federal program that provides HIV treatment to low-income patients. Find a program near you using this tool. Find the state hotline to call for help here. You can also visit your local AIDS project by searching "[name of state] AIDS project." Planned Parenthood and other sexual health centers can provide care, find clinics near you using this tool.
If you are capable of becoming pregnant, find an abortion fund here. I hesitate to give more specific advice on this post, the link will provide additional information. I know it's scary right now but please use legal, science-backed methods of abortion. We are not yet to the point where it is necessary to induce abortion using herbal remedies or other methods, many herbal abortifacients are dangerous to the life of the pregnant person.
Become involved with any and all of the above organizations. Donate, volunteer, spread the word. Most of these programs rely on a combination of federal funding and public support. It is likely that federal funding will be reduced or disappear under the incoming administration.
If you or a loved one are or will soon be eligible for medicare please be aware that traditional medicare and medicare advantage are two very different services. Traditional Medicare is the program which most Americans expect to receive when they turn 65. It is administered through the federal government. Medicare Advantage is a health insurance program provided through private insurance companies. For most patients, the care they receive will be better through Traditional Medicare. It is likely that the information on this issue will become less reliable from the government.
The Center for Disease Control is the main federal agency which provides guidance for public health, including vaccines for children. It will likely be weakened or otherwise prevented from making public health recommendations. Your primary care provider will still be aware of vaccine schedules and able to vaccinate but the burden may fall on you to ask for vaccines. Get in the habit of asking for information on the latest vaccines at every visit.
Environment:
We will need environmental orgs to fight new policies, sue the government, and stall at every turn. Donate to your favorite environmental nonprofit. None of them are perfect, many of them are effective. Find out more here.
Become involved at the local level. Join a local chapter of a national group or a local organization. Visit parks and conservation areas around you, pay attention to any signage that has the names of local organizations that help to maintain that area and join them. If you see "adopt a stream" or "adopt a highway" signs, call to see what the responsibilities for that program are and if you are able to help. In my area, you organize a group of people and call a phone number to register. The requirements are that you adopt the stream for one year and clean it at least twice for about two hours, then they put a sign up that says you've adopted it. They provide trash bags, reflective vests, gloves, hand sanitizer, and trash grabbers.
Obviously, cleaning up litter from a creek or helping maintain a public park doesn't fight climate change or prevent strip mining. Those are problems that require big solutions from well-funded organizations. Those problems are the reasons you donate to organizations like the Sierra Club. You protest and disrupt big projects with organizations like the Indigenous Environmental Network who helped to organize the Standing Rock protests against the Dakota Access Pipeline in 2016-17.
However, cleaning up litter from one creek does mean that there's one less creek that's clogged with litter. That's one more area that can better support wildlife, help prevent flooding, and connect vital habitat areas that are otherwise fragmented. The organizations that lobby, sue, and stall cannot spend their resources on local environmental projects just like you cannot individually prevent the government from leaving the Paris Agreement.
If you have access to any outdoor area where you can grow plants, you should be planting native species. A balcony, a window box, a patio, even a single flowerpot will make a difference to pollinators and wild birds. Use this tool from the National Wildlife Federation to find native plants which support the greatest number of insects in your area. Insects are a vital link in the food chain, particularly for wild birds whose numbers are in shocking decline. Learn more about planting with natives here. A directory of native plant nurseries can be found here. Native plants can also be purchased from the NWF through its Garden for Wildlife shop.
Humanitarian Issues:
The National Alliance to End Homelessness works with providers and lawmakers to end homelessness with a housing-first approach. They have resources to educate yourself on becoming a better advocate for people experiencing homelessness including things as simple as contacting your representatives.
Get involved with local LGBTQ+ centers. Local LGBTQ+ centers are not always members of national organizations so it can be difficult to find them through a central database. However, you can find an on-campus LGBTQ+ center through a university which may be able to help you directly or point you toward organizations which can help. LGBTQ+ centers frequently have resources for finding queer-friendly healthcare, business to work for, advocacy organizations, and more.
Please keep the people of Gaza and all of Palestine in your thoughts as we fight for change at home. The Middle East Children's Alliance is providing food, clean water, medical and psychological care to families in Gaza. Please donate to them if you can.
Likewise remember the struggle in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Goma Actif provide medical care, food, and water for displaced Congolese. Please donate here. (Text of the fundraiser is written in French first, scroll down to find the English translation further down the page.)
This is just what I've been able to come up with so far. Please add any ideas for actions that support yourself or your community.

Agile restructuring is more than a buzzword… it’s a business necessity.
As customer expectations shift and technologies evolve, static org charts and years-long change programs just don’t cut it anymore.
Real agility means breaking big change into small wins. It means forming empowered, cross-functional teams. It means listening, often, to employees, customers, and performance data. And most importantly, it means making decisions based on real-time feedback, not outdated plans.
📈 Organizations that restructure using agile frameworks are 2x more likely to outperform peers on revenue growth and innovation.
At Mayerfeld Consulting, we help companies embed agility at every level, from strategic roadmaps to frontline implementation. Whether you’re starting from scratch or fine-tuning your agile approach, we’re here to help.
💬 What’s stopping your organization from becoming more agile?

something i ponder a lot is how much kokichi knew about the killing game, and how early on.
he knew they were being watched by an audience, probably as early as chapter 1, but i think he knew more than that.
because of chapter 5 we know that he has some inkling of an idea that the mastermind is manipulating their memories (him telling maki that the mastermind lied to her/tricked her into killing him). did he know that more of their memories were faked? did he believe his own backstory, his own ultimate?
i think it probably clicked for him in chapter 2. he took as many motive videos as he could to try and prevent them from BEING a motive, but he probably watched all of the ones he got (to see exactly what the mastermind was trying to feed them, and to try and learn something about the mastermind etc.) would seeing all their "backstories" together like that set off alarm bells for him? would it all just seem a little too fake, a little too perfect for television?
this also explains all the discrepancies in what he says about his ultimate and his organization. he only ever says things about his org that make him sound tough, but he never actually uses his ultimate to his advantage. he kept his motive video very much to himself not only because it made him seem weaker, but because he didn't believe DICE was real. why tell the "truth" about something you aren't sure is REAL, especially if that "truth" doesn't match your perfectly curated image?
after the ch 2 trial is the first time kokichi changes the writing on the stone. if that was when he realized their memories were lies, it would make sense that he would fight fire with fire, fight lies with a bigger lie. he was planning to pretend to be the mastermind as early as chapter 2, and that informs everything he does for the rest of the game.
#danganronpa v3#drv3#kokichi oma#xe speaks!#idk if this is surface level analysis. i hope its not#sorry i only write character analysis of kokichi. it will certainly happen again#i know a lot of people like to entertain DICE as a real thing but i just cant get into it#i dont think he thought it was real. it WASNT real.#theres something so interesting about the whole memories thing in v3#also this is me assuming that the horse a message was NOT written by kokichi. i think the mastermind wrote it and he decided to change it
